Chapter 10
Honnoji Academy, 1 day later
Now dressed in a uniform of that of a typical tour guide, Mako was marching around campus with a megaphone on hand. As she was promised extra credit for giving a campus tour for new classmates. Seeing that a few extra grade points would definitely help the girl out. Mako wholeheartedly accepted the deal, since it would also help her make some real friends as to avoid being pushed around by all of the One Star students who look down at No Stars like herself.
"And her you have our massive courtyard! It may seem grim and bare, but it's nice and big and good for eating outside!" Mako said on her megaphone.
"Why is it that gigantic?" Fuyuhiko asked.
"I don't know! I'm not an architect!" Mako responded by using the megaphone right next to Fuyuhiko's eardrums.
"Damn it! That's loud!" Fuyuhiko yelled.
Mako continued her tour, "Now we end our tour with the final destination of great importance! It's been nice knowing you all and I hope you all enjoy the rest of your school life at Honnoji Academy!" she said as they reached their final stop.
"This is our homeroom." Hinata pointed out.
"Exactly! It's important because we have to show up here everyday for class!" Mako said before tossing away her megaphone. "Well hopefully that was all information and stuff. The only thing worth worrying about is the stampede of everyone trying to make it to class on time." she said.
"Why are there stampedes again?" Kazuichi asked.
"To avoid tardiness obviously, Gamagori will discipline everyone as harshly as possible for showing up even one nano-second late." Mako answered.
"That sounds reasonable." Sonia said.
"Of course you think that." Akane said as she sweat dropped.
Then again, if Sonia believes that arriving less than 15 minutes early or so to an appointment is considered late. Everyone wondered what the punishment for tardiness is in her country. That and what is considered as tardy when arguing about the concept of late and early.
"Anyways, you guys are free to call me and hang out if you got any questions. Bring food if you ever do want to do that." Mako said as she went inside the classroom.
"She seems lively." Hinata commented.
"That girl is seriously crazy." Fuyuhiko pointed out.
"She's just excited is all." Chiaki said before going inside with Hinata.
"Any girl with a big stomach is worth befriending in my opinion." Teruteru happily said.
"Anyone girl with a nice face and juggs is nice in your opinion." Kazuichi said.
"Oh hush now!" Teruteru replied.
Gundham snickered, "She was quick and detailed, the information she granted is very sufficient to me." he said.
With that, everyone entered their class to finish the day. The school wasn't as fabulous and advanced as Hopes Peak, but at least Honnoji is brutally honest and still tough when it came to their educational subjects. They also didn't have to worry about segregation by titles, but rather Goku uniforms which seem to be earned by achievements.
Later that day
To liven up the class again, Chisa tried a new method for teaching today's lesson.
"And can anyone tell me…"
"Where are they!?" another voice interrupted Chisa.
Akane raised her hand, "Batman! That quote is from Batman!" she said.
Chisa sweat dropped, "Technically correct, but that wasn't my question." she said.
"I think that's Gamagori-san." Hinata said as he recognized that loud commanding voice.
"Someone's in trouble! HAHAHA!" Ibuki laughed.
Kazuichi winced, "I wonder what it was for." he said.
"Never mind that everyone, let's just hope Gamagori sorts out whatever issues he has to deal with." Chisa said before a loud crash was heard.
Everyone looked out the window and saw some random kid jumping out. Before suddenly transforming with a Goku Uniform appearing on his body. When the boy landed, he proceeded to defeat many surprised looking students wearing Goku Uniforms.
"Wow, that guy sure is tough." Kazuichi said.
"He has a Goku Uniform, it's giving him power." Chiaki said.
"He probably stole it, I know a rat when I see one." Fuyuhiko said as he hated thieves.
He knew what the punishment was for treason in the Yakuza as well as theft. The Yakuza tried to think of themselves as family, different families with similar rules. So it hurts when family steals from each other and in order to put away that pain. They snuff out the black sheep of the family and Fuyuhiko was right.
"Probably, he looks nervous and most of the guys in uniform are strict and disciplined." Nekomaru commented.
"So how did some slacker get his hands on a uniform?" Hiyoko asked with disgust in her voice.
"Let's see how this turns out." Hinata said as the thief made good progress.
Until he punched Gamagori who looked unaffected. Most likely because the head of the Disciplinary committee has a Three Star Uniform which is far stronger compared to the generic One Star. Leaving the giant man with little difficulty to deal with this deviant.
"You're strong with that uniform, but not stronger than my three star Goku Uniform!" Gamagori yelled before punching the thief into a wall, causing it to explode.
"Hopefully that kid has insurance." Akane said.
Mikan looked nervous, "Should someone help him?" she asked.
"I don't think we'll be allowed." Hinata said knowing the thief likely deserves it.
On the ground
The thief fell out from the wall where he was embedded. Before even remotely getting the chance to recover. Gamagori suddenly appeared above the delinquent and proceeded to lift him up by the torso and looked him in the eye.
"The punishment not only for theft, but resisting punishment is very severe! Do you realize that!?" Gamagori angrily asked the. The thief could only let out a pain filled moan, "The One Star Uniform may be powerful, but your attacks won't do anything to me!" he yelled as he released whips from his sleeves.
Using the whips, Gamagori proceeded to throw the deviant into the air and repeatedly beat him senselessly. Where he then started spinning the thief around and made his body crash against the walls of the school's interior courtyard.
"What were you planning on stealing a Goku Uniform!? Are you a spy!? It's wasted on you! You're not fit to wear it!" Gamagori yelled as he tossed the thief into a wall again.
"Gamagori!" yelled a booming voice.
"Lady Satsuki!" Gamagori said with surprise.
Looking high up on top of the school. Satsuki Kiryuin stood at her favorite spot to look down on the students of Honnoji as if they were ants. Now, it seems like one regular student decided that stealing from her would be remotely okay. Though she could not blame the sudden resistance to her rule, Satsuki felt as if she had grown soft and her extended period of absence had taken away the fear she had spread around subjects.
"I see that I've made a mistake. However, it's one that I seek to be corrected for having left my post for so long." Satsuki announced.
Gamagori quickly slammed the student down and took a knee, "What would you have me do?" He asked.
Satsuki raised her arm, "I want an example made out of this pig to remind everyone who is control!" she commanded.
"At once!" Gamagori said as he handed the now naked student over to the his subordinates.
The student let out a pain filled groan as he was dragged away. Before having his limbs tied up and being strung over the front of the school gates. At the same time, Gamagori picked up the stolen uniform and dusted it off as well as neatly folding it for another One Star Uniform student to collect and take back to be secured.
Back inside the school
"They take punishment a bit far at this school." Chisa said with concern.
Mikisugi chuckled, "If you can't handle the time, then don't do the crime. That's the basic law of the land Yukizome." he said.
"Theft is borderline treachery and may demand execution." Gundham said as his hamsters were suddenly dressed like medieval executioners.
"Did you train them to do that?" Kazuichi asked.
"Settle down class, if you give the kid more attention. Then you're only going to encourage him." Mikisugi said.
"Encouraging him to do what exactly?" Hiyoko asked.
"I can ask the same. The guy is naked and strung up like a hood ornament." Ibuki said as she looked away from the scene. "Seriously, I heard they did stuff like this in Europe, way back in the day." she added.
"Minister Mussolini was dragged and beaten to death before having his body hanged for the public. Right before being beaten to death again. It was a fitting end for a man who tried to abandon his post." Sonia said as she remembered Italian history.
"Wasn't Mussolini executed for siding with the fascist party even after Italy was liberated in World War II?" Chiaki asked.
"Sheesh Nanami, since when do you know world history?" Fuyuhiko asked.
"It was in one of my games." Chiaki answered.
The Ultimate Gamer does enjoy playing lots of video games. Unfortunately this includes many bad games as well, but that doesn't exclude war games. Like the many World War II era games that are suddenly in demand whenever a brand new shooter doesn't meet expectations. Some of which decide to pass on real historical facts. Somehow the detailed death of Mussolini was included.
"It was a nice change from invading Normandy's Beaches for the 20th time." Chiaki said.
That statement did not include replaying the same game multiple times. Chiaki isn't a fan of cookie cutter games that copy the same formula with less variation.
"And that's probably the only time you ever feel tired from playing a video game." Hinata said with an awkward smile.
Chisa clapped her hands together, "Seeing as how class is about to end shortly and the fact that someone decided to break the rules. I think I'll let you all pack up early until the bell. It was great seeing you again!" she said.
"You too Yukizome-sensei!" everyone minus Mako said.
"EH!? What happened!?" Mako asked, just waking up.
"Were you asleep during that whole mess?" Fuyuhiko asked.
"What mess? What happened?" Mako asked.
"Satsuki-dono is persecuting a deviant for theft." Peko answered.
Mako looked slightly concerned, "Wow, I better get home." she said not wanting to be around when someone is punished.
"We're so getting a lecture tomorrow about theft aren't we?" Ibuki asked just as the bell rang.
That afternoon, in town
Hinata was walking around the streets of Honno city to get some errands done. After making his purchase, Hinata started making his way back to his new home. When he found himself being ambushed by three kids who came out of an alley wielding chains and pipes as weapons. Normally, classic Hajime Hinata would have very little way to combat this situation. Unfortunately for the kids, a little bit of Izuru Kamakura is still inside of Hinata including his Ultimate Talents to some degree.
"Sorry." Hinata said as he tossed his groceries into the air.
A few seconds later, the three kids were on the ground with many lumps in their bodies. Hinata then caught his bags and continued to walking when another kid bumped into him.
"Watch it!" the boy yelled as he ran into the kids. "What the!? You guys are supposed to be waiting for me!? Now there's this psycho bitch who's going to kick my ass!" he yelled.
'How many pick pockets are around here?' Hinata wondered when he saw some girl arrive.
"Hey, so are you being serious or are you running away?" the girl asked.
The girl was about the same age as Hajime. She had black hair with a large red hair sticking out, blue eyes and some metallic case on her back. She also appeared to have an appetite for lemons as she was eating one.
"You almost got robbed too?" Hinata asked the girl.
"Nah, I'm too smart for that." the girl answered.
The boy glared at the pair, "You beat up my men? I'm going to kick your ass and the bitch's too!" he angrily said.
"Then try." Hinata said.
"Eh?" the boy asked.
"I'm not afraid of a kid." Hinata said in hopes of scaring the boy.
The boy started to shake, "Good, because I'm not scared either!" he said taking a fighting stance.
When suddenly, out of nowhere, the boy was hit in the back of the head with a leather suitcase. The boy hit the ground hard as Mako came out of nowhere and wrestled the boy.
"Mugging folks in the afternoon now Mataro? Did you even bother going to school today?" Mako angrily asked the boy.
"I'm sorry! I did go to school!" Mataro apologized as Mako crushed the boy in a backwards grapple. Mako then released the boy and he began to run, "I can't waste my life learning. I'm gonna grow up to be a baller! A baller!" he yelled.
"Little jerk!" Mako cursed. She then smiled at the girl, "Sorry about that, my brother's an idiot." she said.
"I didn't know you had a brother Mako." Hinata spoke up.
"Hey Hajime, I didn't see you. Anyways, I do have a brother, unfortunately." Mako said with a sigh. "Anyways, that brat is probably going to be late. That means more food for me at dinner." she said.
"Good to know." Hajime said.
"Anyways, nice seeing you and nice to meet you, new girl." Mako said as she ran home.
"Who's that?" the girl asked.
"Mako Mankanshoku, she's my classmate at Honnoji Academy. Are you a transfer student too?" Hinata asked.
The girl shrugged, "I guess, I'm Ryuko Matoi." she said introducing herself. "Nice hairdo, did the red part grow naturally?" she asked.
Hinata grasped onto the red hair sticking out from his bangs. He once tried pulling it out, but then it grew back again. He was unsure as to what made it grow and assumed it was part of the experiment that Ragyo performed on him.
"I think so, it's been there for a little while." Hinata said.
"Interesting, I tried pulling mine out but it grew back after a while." Ryuko said as she tugged on the red hair strand.
"I guess it's a nice detail. Anyways, maybe I'll see you tomorrow morning in class Ryuko." Hinata said and left.
"Yeah maybe." Ryuko said as Hinata left towards his own path. Leaving Ryuko to curse her luck, "Damn, I should look for a place to stay. I should have came earlier." she muttered to herself.
The next morning, class
Surprisingly, Ryuko would see Hinata again and as a classmate in the same homeroom surprisingly. Ryuko was just happy to have a teacher that is not a psychopath. Since Chisa is welcoming and genuinely friendly towards all of her students.
"Class, let's welcome yet another new student." Chisa said.
"I'm Ryuko Matoi." Ryuko greeted lamely.
Everyone gave their own greetings which were hard to distinguish as they all spoke on top of each other. Then again, it was better than that robotic greeting that most students have to give to new students.
"Why don't you take your seat Ryuko. There's a spot open between Hajime and Mako." Chisa said as Mako was actively pointing at the desk next to her.
"Wow, that chick is actively spazzing out." Ryuko commented.
"That's just how Mankanshoku usually is. No one in the room is average. This includes the Ultimate Average student across from her." Mikisugi said as he pointed towards Hajime who felt awkard.
Chisa decided to cut the talk short, "Ignore him Ryuko, my co-ed is a bit blunt." she said.
"I'm just being honest." Mikisugi replied lazily before Chisa gave him a scary smile that shut him up.
Ryuko took her seat and remembered that this is the girl that tackled down her brother who tried to rob Ryuko. At least this girl was friendly and looked normal compared to some of the more eccentric members of the class.
"I'm Mako Mankanshoku! Nice to meet you!" Mako greeted excitedly.
"Same here, anyways what was up with the naked kid outside?" Ryuko asked.
"Oh, that stuff happens. I just ignore, but you might get used to it after a while." Mako said.
"I see, the student council must be pretty hardcore if they punish students like that." Ryuko said as Mako suddenly started eating before falling asleep. "Did she just fall asleep!?" Ryuko asked.
"I've been noticing that too." Hinata said.
"So, should I leave her alone or something?" Ryuko asked.
Hinata shrugged, "I don't know, maybe she needs to recharge that personality of hers." he said.
Deep down, there was a part of Hinata that made him uncomfortable about Mako. Maybe it was because he keeps having vague memories of Nui and how super energetic and curious she was. Only now, he really didn't want to think about that crazy girl and didn't want to mistreat Mako because of how friendly she is.
Later that day
Class ended and now Ryuko was walking around campus with Mako following her in an attempt to befriend the girl. With Mako going as far as to tackle Ryuko down in a hug only for the girl to move out of the way.
"Why didn't you accept my hug?" Mako asked.
"I think the answer is obvious." Ryuko answered.
"But I was just trying to greet my new bestie!" Mako argued.
"We literally just met." Ryuko replied.
As the two kept walking and talking. Well, Ryuko walking and listening to Mako as she showed off her energetic personality. They came across Hinata and Chiaki eating together. Actually, scratch that, it was Hinata taking turns between eating and feeding Chiaki as the girl focused on her video game.
"Are you sure you don't want to play Hajime? They made a co-op update." Chiaki asked.
Hinata smiled, "I think I'll eat first. Maybe you should do the same?" he asked as he felt slightly embarrassed feeding the gamer.
"Hey guys!" Mako greeted.
"Hi Mako." the two greeted back.
"Are you two dating or something?" Ryuko asked.
Hinata tried to fight back the blush, "I wouldn't say…"
"I thought couples were supposed to eat together." Chiaki openly stated.
"Aw, that's sweet. I knew you two were a power couple!" Mako said.
'I guess we're a couple then.' Hinata thought as Chiaki had no problem with that declaration.
As Mako continued to compliment the idea. She along with everyone else, minus Ryuko, suddenly lined up and bowed their heads.
"What the heck is going on?" Ryuko asked.
Mako forcefully made Ryuko bow her head, "Bow your head! The Four Divas are here! They're the four elite members of the Student Council, working only under the president herself!" she explained.
"So this president lady is in charge of this school?" Ryuko asked.
"Pretty much, she can be a bit intense though." Hinata answered.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Ryuko asked.
"She's only remotely nice to anyone she deems worthy of her attention. So she really hates showing emotion or going soft on anyone." Hinata explained to the best of his ability.
Ryuko didn't like that answer, "Sounds like a real bit-"
"SHHH!" Mako shushed Ryuko while knowing an insult was about to leave her mouth.
Just as Mako silenced the new student. Satsuki herself came walking down the main stairway. However, Ryuko refused to stay silent and out of sight as she suddenly appeared in front of Satsuki. Satsuki still kept her serious face on as she saw Ryuko suddenly appear in front of her.
"So I hear you're the queen bee here. I have a few questions for you." Ryuko said in a demanding tone.
"What is she doing?" Mako asked in a scared but whispery voice.
"Should someone stop her?" Chiaki asked.
The One Star Students looked ready to stop Ryuko as they found her demands to be disrespectful towards Satsuki. Unfortunately, they were all quickly defeated as they attempted to subdue Ryuko. As the girl quickly beat them up with her metal case. Where she then proceeded to take out a giant red blade that looked like half of a pair of scissors. Spinning it around with great skill, Ryuko proceeded to point her weapon at Satsuki in a threatening manner.
Satsuki did not look impressed or threatened. Though a tad curious about the weapon itself as the ridiculous appearance of the weapon must have some importance.
"These scissors look familiar don't they? You've seen them before, haven't you?" Ryuko asked in a threatening manner.
"If I have, then what does it matter?" Satsuki asked, humoring Ryuko.
Ryuko looked angry by the response, "You have seen it. You have the other half my scissors!" she angrily said before charging at Satsuki.
As Ryuko prepared to attack, Takaharu Fukuroda, suddenly appeared and proceeded to punch Ryuko. With each attack being a response to defending his class president from an aggravated assault.
"Ten! Ken! Fun! Sai!" Takaharu cries out with every punch he dealt.
Resulting in Ryuko crashing down into the dirt. Now lying further than from where she once stood.
"Fukuroda." Satsuki called out.
"Yes Lady Satsuki, I, the Captain of the Boxing Team will deal with this insolent wench." Takaharu said proudly. "With your permission of course." He added.
"Go right ahead." Satsuki said as she lacked the patience to fight some random challenger.
Ryuko quickly got up and tried to hit Fukuroda only to hit his gloves, "What are those gloves made of? Steel?" she asked.
"Don't you know a Goku Uniform when you see one?" Takaharu asked arrogantly.
"You're not wearing a uniform." Ryuko said with confusion.
"Of course I am! A boxer's uniform is made up of gloves, shorts and… other stuff." Takaharu said, almost admitting that this may not be a uniform.
Maybe boxer attire would make more sense, but not a uniform.
"Besides, this is a special Two Star Goku Uniform and it makes my gloves stronger than anything you can imagine!" Takaharu exclaimed.
"Then if you're that tough, I can stop holding back." Ryuko said as she adjusted her scissor blade.
"You little arrogant bitch!" Takaharu said as he threw a punch.
Which created rows and rows of boxing gloves to come out of his boxing glove. With Ryuko having too little time to react and being punched around. Before taking a heavy swing to the back. Sending Ryuko crashing even farther away from Satsuki as Takaharu barely looked winded from such quick yet heavy attacks.
"Confiscate her scissor blade." Satsuki ordered.
"No way! You're not taking this away from me!" Ryuko roared as she struggled to stand up.
"Are you seriously challenging Lady Satsuki's authority!? You can't even beat me!" Takaharu yelled as Ryuko wasn't ready to give up.
Ryuko then proceeded to swing wildly at the Boxing captain. Each time, Takaharu would doge with minimal effort and mock Ryuko each time. However, as he prepared to hit her back. Hinata suddenly came running in and blocked the next attack. Surprisingly, Hinata didn't look phased as he held back Takaharu's attack.
For those who didn't know Hinata personally or knew much about his biological change. They were shocked by how well he casually ignored the pain Takaharu dealt with his next punch. Even going as far as to hold the boxing captain's fist in place.
"What the hell!? Are you defending this trash!?" Takaharu asked.
"That's enough." Hinata responded.
"Like hell it is! Also, how are you not dead with my punch!?" Takaharu asked.
Hinata looked back at Ryuko who held her chest, "You should run." he said.
"You don't need to tell me twice!" Ryuko said as she ran for the exit.
"You're letting her get away you dumb ass!" Takaharu yelled as he tried punching Hinata with his free arm. Which Hinata also blocked with minor difficulty, "What are you!? You're not even wearing a Goku Uniform!" He yelled.
By this point, Ryuko hijacked a scooter from some udon delivery man. Luckily Ryuko gave the man his delivery back before she escaped on the scooter. By this point, Hinata let go of the boxing captain who decided to ignore him for the moment. As Takaharu tried to chase after Ryuko who already got away.
"She can't fight, but she can sure run. No thanks to this traitor." Takaharu said as he pointed at Hinata.
Suddenly all of the One Stars glared at Hinata. Mako and the rest of her glass gave Hinata worried looks. While Satsuki never once turned around to look at the result of the fight.
"Hajime Hinata, we will have words." is all Satsuki said.
Hinata didn't show it but he was nervous. Maybe it was some heroic complex he developed or some sort of strange sense of morality that forced him to protect Ryuko. It could be his past experience where Juzo wanted to beat him to death, though at least then, Juzo wasn't remotely as strong as Takaharu who is like a hundred times stronger than the Ultimate Boxer.
As Hinata was thinking and knew he had to see Satsuki later to be disciplined. Class 77, 78 and Mako were giving Chiaki all sorts of condolences. Mahiru even gave the girl a photo frame of Hinata.
'Why are they treating me like I'm a widow?' Chiaki thought as she caught onto the gestures very quickly.
Hinata sighed as he left the courtyard. At the same time, Chiaki didn't want to take any chances and immediately sent an email from her phone to Teruteru.
"What's this for Nanami?" Teruteru asked.
"Do you think can cook up something with that recipe?" Chiaki asked.
Teruteru sweat dropped as he read the ingredients, "Probably." he answered. 'This is the weirdest ingriedient list for ambrosia I've ever seen. Maybe it's a special family recipe. Poor girl just wants to feel better once the funeral takes place.' he thought solemnly.
Almost everyone was very sure that Satsuki was going to kill the boy.
A little while later, with Satsuki
Upon arrival, Hinata found Satsuki staring out the window with her ever present serious face. It would be hard to tell what angry, uncaring and neutral looks when looking up at Satsuki's face. However, it would be easy to tell what her mood is once close enough to understand her. That's if the individual has enough of a relationship to not be smoldered by her wrath.
"Sit." Satsuki commanded. As if he were a dog, Hinata obeyed, "Care to explain the sudden need to deviate and assist a delinquent? One that is armed and has the audacity to spout accusations about me?" she asked.
"I thought…"
Satsuki hit her sword hilt against the floor, "Actually, to whom am I speaking to right now? I want to know who is in control." she said.
"I am, Satsuki-san, I worked on my volition to protect Ryuko." Hinata admitted.
"So your alter ego is still dormant?" Satsuki asked as she her eyes looked around the corner.
"Yes." Hinata answered.
"You are telling me, that out of your own free will. That you had the right to deviate, intervene in Matoi's punishment and show no shame in your actions?" Satsuki asked, practically begging Hinata to give her a reason to punish him.
Hinata held himself back from flinching, "I think Ryuko already had enough of a beating. My own experiences can cover that." he said.
"Your experience is nothing!" Satsuki roared as she turned around. "You were engaged a brute who's purpose to is to hit things. Regardless of who was in the wrong. I saved you from assault while Fukuroda was punishing an armed delinquent on my behalf." she said as her killing aura filled the room.
"Fukuroda could have killed Ryuko." Hinata said.
"And that nude pig I had strung up at the front of the academy stole and armed himself with a dangerous weapon. You wish to tell me that you want to spare every delinquent because you feel bad for them?" Satsuki asked in a threatening manner.
"No…" Hinata tried to say.
"Then explain it to me, because it seems I am the ignorant one." Satsuki said challenging him.
Leaving Hinata unsure of how to respond to her. A part of him really wanted to blame Izuru Kamakura considering the fact that his alter ego does enjoy a challenge. Instead of a savior, the alter ego is violent and is open for conflict in order to find a higher purpose.
With Ryuko
After hightailing it out of the academy on the stolen scooter. Ryuko made her way to her destroyed home where her father used to live. Feeling regretful that she couldn't find any answers or get revenge on her father's alleged killer. Ryuko walked inside of the burned mansion and wallowed around feeling like a failure where she found a surviving photo of herself and her father.
"I'm sorry dad. I couldn't avenge you." Ryuko said knowing Satsuki was untouchable with superhuman bodyguards preparing to kill her on sight. She then stabbed her scissor blade into the ground, "If I was stronger, I could beat those bastards and then that bitch." she said before the floor opened.
The floor revealed itself to be a trapdoor with Ryuko finding a large basement underneath her destroyed home. As a result of the fall, the teenage girl accidentally cut arm and made blood drip onto the garbage pile she was on.
"What is this? Did dad order a giant basement?" Ryuko asked before hearing a ghostly voice.
"More… need more… give me more…" said the voice.
"Okay, that's creepy." Ryuko said as she raised up her weapon.
When she was suddenly tackled by some kind of monster that looked like a girl's sailor uniform. The monster proceeded to pin Ryuko to the wall. Where Ryuko panicked as the creature was forcefully restraining her against the wall.
"Put me on!" the monster yelled.
"What are you!?" Ryuko asked as it started removing her shirt.
"Wear me and feed me blood!" the monster pleaded.
"No, get of me you pervert!" Ryuko yelled.
"I don't want to sleep!" the monster yelled.
"Sailor uniforms don't talk! How is that possible!?" Ryuko asked.
"That doesn't matter!" the monster yelled as it tackled Ryuko into the ground.
Where it proceeded to strip Ryuko down to her under garments and then force himself onto her. This was followed by a series screams from Ryuko that really sounded very bad with poor context. In fact, if any police officers were nearby, they would have assumed some crazy person was sexually assaulting a young girl. It didn't help that Mikisugi was above ground and listening to this as he actually orchestrated this meeting between Ryuko and the sentient sailor uniform.
"I think I made a terrible mistake." Mikisugi said as he considered just running away and hope that Isshin wouldn't be angry in the afterlife.
The next morning
Mahiru took a photo of Mako before the One Star students strapped the girl to a cross. The Ultimate Photographer took out her film and prepared to have the photo developed. Seeing as everyone thought Hinata is likely dead or also going to die. They might as well have a photo frame of Mako for a memorial.
Chiaki looked saddened, "I keep losing friends after I gain them." she said.
"Don't be sad, I'm sure Hajime is probably alive or fighting to stay alive." Kazuichi said.
"I'm here." Hinata said as he suddenly arrived with bandages over several parts of his body.
"Hajime!" the class cried out.
"I guess Satsuki-san is secretly in a good mood." Hinata said.
"How is this a good mood!?" Kazuichi asked as he pointed at the injuries.
"This is my warning. Luckily, Mikan was leaving late and found me." Hinata said as Mikan appeared behind him.
"He was such a mess, but I don't think that was a warning." Mikan said with a scared face.
"The fact that you could still put him back together means Satsuki was being nice." Fuyuhiko said knowing that gangsters would maim instead of killing their subordinates as an act of punishment.
The Mafia in the west would sometimes cut off a finger. Others would try to psychologically torture their useless underlings. Then there are others who just resort to having the someone dragged and beaten up senselessly. Fuyuhiko only imagined what complex way Satsuki decided to perform in order to injure Hinata.
"I think I learned my lesson." Hinata said.
"Wait, does that mean you're not saving Mako?" Akane asked.
Hinata grimaced as he saw Mako being hanged upside down. All the while Takaharu was calling for Ryuko to appear while pulling out some raw chicken. Where he proceeded to dip it into a bat of oil that turned the chicken crispy before presenting it to the students. Everyone suddenly realized that the captain of the Boxing club is threatening to deep fry Mako. Which is scary and ironic considering their family is poor so the Mankonshoku matriarch can only buy mystery meat to feed her family.
"No! You can't boil me! My clothes will burn off and everyone will see me butt naked!" Mako pleaded.
"It seems that the new girl doesn't care about you enough to stop me." Takaharu said openly mocking Ryuko.
Hinata gritted his teeth as he held his shoulder, "Sorry Mako." he said.
In his current state, even with the help of Mikan's medical skills. Hinata is nowhere near the shape he would need to be to beat up Takaharu and save Mako. There is no doubt he would be as weak as Ryuko if he fought right now. In the background, some of the class could see that Mako's brother had snuck into the school and armed himself with a large wooden stick.
"Mataro." Hinata whispered.
"Who's Mataro?" Chiaki asked.
"Mako's younger brother. I think he's planning to save her." Hinata said as everyone looked worried.
As everyone was about to intervene to stop the kid from hurting himself. A cloaked figure pushed Mataro back and jumped into the air. The figure then landed in between Takaharu and Mako who was about to be turned crispy. During this sudden surprise attack, the masked figure dropped her hood to reveal herself as Ryuko as she quickly dispatched two One Star students who were trying to remove Mako.
When they were down, Ryuko revealed her scissor blade and proceeded to slash at Mako without harming her. Allowing the energetic girl to be freed and run back to the crowd.
"You can leave now Mako." Ryuko said.
"Thanks Ryuko!" Mako said as she went running.
Takaru snickered, "So you returned for another beating?" he asked. "Normally you would have to be in a club to challenge me, but I'll make an exception. Circumstance and all of that, you know." he said arrogantly.
Ryuko stared down at the giant boxer. Where Takaharu proceeded to throw a wave of boxing gloves at Ryuko that spread all over the boxing ring that he set up to boil Mako in. Every punch hit Ryuko with great force, but she didn't even flinch and Takaharu didn't notice. The boxer just continued launching his attacks until he pulled back his fist.
"Don't flinch, this is a right thr- psyche! Corkscrew!" Takaharu yelled as his boxing glove started to spin like a power drill.
The attack landed and dealt a heavy blow Ryuko. The attack destroyed the cloak she was wearing and revealed that Ryuko blocked the attack with her scissor blade. As well as showing off the revealing clothing she was wearing. Everyone gasped in surprise by the scandalous clothing choice of Ryuko. Even Takaharu stopped and blushed by what he was looking at.
Hinata blushed as he looked away as if this felt very familiar to him.
"What the hell are you wearing!?" Takaharu asked.
"None of your business!" Ryuko screamed.
"You're trying to distract me with your sexy body! This is cheating! How dare you cheat at a gentlemen's sport!?" Takaharu asked very angrily.
"I am not!" Ryuko yelled.
"Fine, if we're going to be like this. I might as well strip down too." Takaharu said as he tried pulling off his shorts
"Hell no! Look who's being perverted now!" Ryuko yelled.
Hinata sweat dropped as he turned around, "This is really embarassing." he said.
"Yeah tell me about it." Kazuichi said as he also turned around.
Kazuichi had eyes for Sonia only so would prefer not to stare at Ryuko's half naked body. A couple of others did the same while Teruteru was openly making remarks about Ryuko's attractive form. However, that's when Class 77 realized they were a bit short on people.
"I expected Hiyoko or someone to hit him." Hinata said.
"Where is that tall brat anyways?" Fuyuhiko asked.
"Mikan, you've also been super quiet." Chiaki said as she looked for the nurse.
Mikan did seem to be the type to find these kinds of scenes to be inappropriate and would probably whine. Hiyoko would also likely be openly stating how uncomfortable she is about this like several others have said.
"Did they get lost?" Chiaki asked.
"HELP!"
The class turned their heads to find Mikan and Hiyoko being tied up and stuffed in burlap sacks. Where they were being handled by two men in stereotypical ski masks.
"Okay, this place is weird. We have half naked girls dressed like strippers and weirdos kidnapping underaged girls." Mahiru said.
"Trafficking has been on the rise lately." Fuyuhiko said with some disgust.
Hinata grunted as he clutched his wounds, "Someone's gotta go after them." he said.
"Agreed, Pekoyama." Fuyuhiko called out.
"Hai." the swordswoman said as she drew her newest sword.
Suddenly, Kazuichi ran away and came back with a four seat go-cart, "Who's tagging along?" he asked.
Peko took her seat behind Kazuichi and Nekomaru forced himself into the small seat. Then a hesitant Hinata sat next to Kazuichi who looked hesitant as well.
"Are you sure you're up for this?" Kazuichi asked.
"Just drive, I got a little secret of mine that can help." Hinata said as he decided to risk the pain.
Besides, how dangerous could a few creepy men in a van be compared to Takaharu?
Back to the fight
Apparently while Takaharu gave the impression that he would fight Ryuko in the nude. He revealed that he was breaking off a lock on his shorts that released the next level of his boxing gloves. Apparently, these new gloves were meant to be a lot more powerful.
"I didn't know what you were hiding under that cloak, but now I'm done holding back! I'm going to destroy that bikini!" Takaharu yelled as his gloves started spinning like a power drill again.
"Isn't that cheating?" Ryuko asked as the new gloves were covered in spikes.
Regardless of Takaharu's sense of morality, Ryuko took the hit head on. As the spinning glove drilled straight into the little chest piece of her clothes, just a centimeter above her exposed flesh. Instead of breaking Ryuko's clothes and leaving her naked, Takaharu ended up destroying his own gloves in the process as Ryuko's clothing was much more durable than his Goku Uniform.
Had anyone paid attention, Satsuki briefly showed genuine shock to the power of Ryuko's perverted clothing. Where she briefly thought back to a similar outfit she gave to Hinata.
'So there's a third?' Satsuki thought.
By this point, Ryuko had enough of Takaharu and started hitting him with the handle of her scissor blade. As well as accidentally cutting him when parts of his face came too close to the bladed sides. After a few good punches, Ryuko sent Takaharu crashing into the ground.
"And for desert, Sen-i-Soshitsu!" Ryuko yells out as she slashes at the boxer one last time.
With the final cut destroying the Two Star Goku uniform and leaving Takaharu completely naked. The four divas were shocked beyond comprehension by Ryuko's new power.
"That scissor blade is powerful." Inumata said.
"No, it's not the blade." Satsuki said as she realized Ryuko's uniform gave her much more power.
By this point, Ryuko decided to add salt to the wound. So she tossed Takaharu right at Satsuki. Where several One Star Students used themselves as human shields to block their fallen comrade from crashing into Satsuki. Unfortunately, Takaharu was badly injured and bleeding by this point. So when he hit the one star students, his blood flicked off of his body and hit Satsuki's cheek. Everyone near Satsuki gasped as the girl slowly flicked off Takaharu's blood.
"I would lie if I said I wasn't surprised by this outcome." Satsuki said.
Sanageyama looked furious, "You bitch!" he yelled as he prepared to fight Ryuko.
"Don't move." Satsuki commanded as Sanageyama stopped. "New girl, where did you get that uniform?" she asked.
In her mind, someone like Ryuko is too impulsive and lacks discipline to handle such power. So she needed to know that uniform exists. So Ryuko humored her and picked up the microphone that Takaharu had used earlier.
"This uniform? I got from my dad!" Ryuko answered. "And this scissor blade, you know who has the other one! So tell me who has it, satsuki Kiryuin!" she commanded as she pointed her weapon at Satsuki who stood tall on the roof of Honnoji.
Satsuki didn't look phased or threatened by Ryuko, even if she's able to defeat a Two Star Uniform wearer.
The same time, with Hinata's group
Kazuichi was driving as fast as he could up to the van. From there, he tried to lean close to the large vehicle in hopes that his friends can hop aboard. Peko quickly jumped onto the roof and started cutting a circle into the van while Nekomaru climbed onto the back and tried to pry off the doors with all of his strength.
"You sure you can move around Hajime? Mikan's amazing at medicine, but she's still only a nurse, not a real doctor." Kazuichi asked.
"I think I've been through enough to the point that a normal MD wouldn't have been able to save me." Hinata said as he remembered the experiments done to him in that lab.
"Ok then, just don't die. We don't want Nanami to get all heart broken." Kazuichi said as Hinata jumped onto the side of the van.
Hinata pushed through the pain and held onto the door. Where he saw the masked man roll down the window and try to stab him. While Izuru was dormant inside of him, Hinata had some level of the nigh infinite skills Izuru had. Well, infinite as in all of the talents that those scientists shoved into him. He didn't bother questioning this once he heard about fancy clothes that can turn generic average kids into super humans.
It feels like one of those shonen manga about never giving up and hard work beating talent. Only to learn it was never about the latter and somehow the protagonist and other characters magically gain superpowers. Like Hinata right now as he avoid several knife strikes.
"Hold still!" the thug yelled.
"Why would I do that?" Hinata asked.
"So I can stab you!" the thug yelled like an angry psychopath.
Hinata really didn't like the sound of that logic and quickly caught the knife. Where he plunged it into the man's arm before unlocking the van door from the inside. Using the brief time where the man was stunned, Hinata managed to open the door and pull him out. Watching as the man rolled while he hanged onto the van door.
"My body says I'm okay, but my brain said I'm disturbed." Hinata said before managing to make his way into the van. Where he found the driver pulling out a gun to his face, "I should trust my brain more often." he said.
In the back
As Hiyoko and Mikan were trying to escape the burlap sacks. Nekomaru and Peko defeated the thugs that physically kidnapped them. With Nekomaru tossing them out of the broken doorway where he broke in.
"And out you go!" Nekomaru yelled as he tossed out the last thug.
With that done, Peko swings here blade at the burlap sacks. A second later, the sacks were cut up along with the ropes that bound the two girls.
"It's about time, stupid rope burns." Hiyoko said as she saw rope marks around her arms.
"That was so scary! I can't believe I've been kidnapped again!" Mikan whined.
"What do you mean again!?" Hiyoko asked.
"That doesn't matter." Peko said.
"I think it does matter if this klutz keeps getting kidnapped." Hiyoko said.
Peko shook her head, "No, I meant that…" she was cut off by the sounds of gunfire at the front. "Hajime?" she called out.
Suddenly the van started to swerve out of control for a moment. Nekomaru hanged onto the girls tightly while Peko stabbed her sword into the floor of the van. As the group struggled to hang onto the runaway van, they heard a body falling out onto the road as the vehicle quickly regained control. Now feeling much safer, Nekomaru put the girls down while Peko walked up the little slit at the front.
Peko then knocked on the wall where the slit was and prepared her weapon. Expecting another thug, she prepared to thrust her sword into their eyes. Only to find Hajime waving his bandaged arm causing Peko to sigh in relief.
"Did you throw out the other driver?" Peko asked.
"Yes, are the others okay back there?" Hinata asked seeing Peko nod. "Okay, no loss of life then. Unless you want to count the radio." he said.
"The world can survive with less music." Peko said as she stepped back.
"Okay then, time to go back to school." Hinata said as he gently made a U-turn.
Then Nekomaru walked up the slit, "Hey can we pass by for burgers?" he asked.
Hinata sighed, "Sure." he said as he drove towards the nearest fast food restaurant.
At school, a while later
The broken down van and Kazuichi's go-kart returned to the school where they were greeted by some friendly faces. Hinata grunted as he waved at his friends while pulling over.
"Hey guys, did the fight end?" Hinata asked.
"Yeah, Ryuko won and threatened the freaking class president!" the impostor yelled.
"She did? Where is Ryuko now?" Hinata asked.
"She ran off, apparently the beatings kicked in and she needed to retreat." Fuyuhiko said.
It wasn't true, unknown to any of them minus Hinata. The power of Ryuko's unique uniform far surpasses that of a normal Goku Uniform and this includes the three stars which only the four underlings of Satsuki wear. Which by the way, are currently the strongest uniforms that have been produced thus far. At least until the Sewing Club captain manages to make them evolve.
The reason Hinata knows this is because he can recognize the uniform.
'I can't believe there's another Kamui. Better yet, is that the one Satsuki saw first?' Hinata thought as he didn't notice Satsuki's surprise earlier.
Now two people were concerned about powerful uniforms running loose. Hinata's thoughts were broken by Nekomaru who came out of the van.
"Hey, we made it back alive. We brought food!" Nekomaru exclaimed as Akane drooled.
"Gimme gimme!" Akane yelled.
"Hold up! You can't expect me to believe that you would eat all of that saturated grease!" Teruteru yelled.
"Food is food! So shut up!" Akane yelled.
Hinata sighed as he stumbled out of the van, "I guess this is just another school day." he said.
"Hajime." Chiaki called out as she walked up to him. "Did you open your wounds?" she asked out of concern.
"I'm fine, though I think Peko was ready to stab me in the eye." Hinata said.
"I had to be cautious." Peko said as he walked by with a bag in hand.
Kazuichi snickered as he slapped the van, "Too bad about this thing though. The chances of Satsuki-san letting us keep it are less than miniscule." he said. "I could probably fix it up and make it our trademark ride." he said.
"You think?" Hinata asked.
"Yeah, but then again it would be a good idea to toss this thing out. It's old and repairs are going to be expensive." Kazuichi said as he studied the stolen van.
"Hinata!" Sanageyama called out. Hinata flinched as he saw the athletic committee chairman walk over to him, "That was some wild driving. If Satsuki didn't want me to pass on a serious message. I'd be impressed, though your ride looks like trash." he said.
"Kazuichi says he wants to fix it." Hinata replied as Kazuichi looked nervous.
"Don't bring me up!" Kazuichi yelled.
The swordsman ignored him, "Anyways, we already had a bunch of one stars ready to take out the van until your group went after it." he said. "Apparently there's a few people that don't agree with Satsuki's way of handling you brats. So you better keep a close eye on your friends. Since this won't be the last time." he explained.
"Is that it?" Hinata asked.
"For now, just don't piss off the president again. You're lucky to be alive like the new girl." Sanageyama said as he started walking. "She'll be back in class probably by tomorrow so we won't do anything. Though that doesn't mean you're allowed to save her ass again." he said.
"I don't think Ryuko needs my help." Hinata whispered.
"Ryuko sure is strong." Chiaki notes.
"Yeah. she sure…" Hinata fell to a single knee as he clutched his chest.
"Hajime!" Chiaki cried out as she tried to help him up.
"Weak… pathetic… loser…" said a dark voice.
'Not now!' Hajime thought.
"Rather sleep… than… drink your… wimpy blood…" said the distorted voice.
"I think I overexerted myself." Hinata said. "Maybe I should go home." he said.
"You want me to drive you there?" Kazuichi asked, he didn't like the idea of his friend walking back home on his own.
This city isn't very safe and there's no way he can drive that damaged van.
A little while later
Hinata groaned as he tried staying conscious, "Where am I?" he muttered.
"Almost home buddy, don't worry." Kazuichi said.
"I feel lost." Hinata said.
"I think MIkan gave you the wrong dosage." Kazuichi said as they saw a crappy clinic. "Here?" he asked.
"This doesn't look safe." Chiaki said.
Hinata looked at the house, "Not mine, that's Mako's." he said.
His companions looked disturbed. Eventually, Hinata gave them enough directions to find his real home right before falling asleep. Which was just a small condominium with really tight looking security bars and gates. At least it looked like Hinata wasn't going to be disturbed by intruders.
"Well, time to carry him." Kazuichi said as he stepped out of the go-kart with Chiaki.
A half hour later
Hinata started to stir awake where he found a large man with glasses staring down at him.
"Hi there neighbor!" the man said.
Hinata blanched, "Dr. Mankanshoku is here… that means I died didn't it?" he asked.
Barazo laughed, "Nope, but your survival increased my rescue to kill ratio." he said.
"That's my dad for you!" Mako said as she suddenly appeared.
"Mako?" Hinata asked.
"Yup, I heard you were super hurt so I asked my dad to come." Mako said.
"Since you're Mako's friend, I'll give you the limited time discount of 1.7 percent off your bill." Barazo said. "That will be 22,894 yen." he said.
Hinata sighed, "Just take whatever I have under the couch cushions." he said.
That's when Kazuichi and Chiaki popped their heads inside, "Is he alright?" Kazuichi asked.
"He's fine, he'll be better once my bill is paid." Barazo said followed by some laughter.
"We're good dad." Mako said as she grabbed the stack of cash.
"I guess he wasn't kidding about the couch." Barazo said before shrugging it off. "Anyways, drink lots of water, get lots of rest, try aerobics every once in a while and call me if you start peeing blood." he said before leaving with his daughter.
Hinata sighed, "It's a good thing that's not where all of my money is." he said.
With all the talents he somehow has inside of him. Hinata felt that if he was ever deserving of a title, he would be the Ultimate High School Level Plot Armor. Due to having so many skills that are particularly useful in these situations.
"Hey Hajime, since when do you use a sword?" Kazuichi asked.
"I don't." Hinata answered.
"Well you got a big sword with a bow on it." Kazuichi said as he pointed at a large sword in the corner of his room.
"How did that get here?" Hinata asked, unaware of who left him the weapon.
Chiaki read the tag, "It says, "from a friend of your real dad, kiddo." What does that mean?" She asked.
"My real dad?" Hinata asked, wondering what it meant.
"Fool… you are ignorant as well." the dark voice said.
'Damn… uniform…' Hinata thought as he gripped his head.
Underneath of Hinata's clothes was a kamui. A powerful piece of clothing that is 100% Life Fibers. A sentient weapon he always keeps around for emergencies as he used it to casually stop Takaharu's initial assault on Ryuko. Now it seems to have awakened again from the little blood Hinata fed it to gain the power to stop Takaharu. A good thing it didn't destroy his clothes at the time.
'Maybe I should tell them.' Hinata thought as he needed some help dealing with his unstable kamui.
Kazuichi became his first real friend in the simulation and their relationship has been strong ever since they left. Chiaki was genuinely kind to him before he was stuck in the simulation. So that means Hinata can count on her as a close friend too.
Well girlfriend actually, he wasn't sure if Chiaki was just confused and thought the title only made sense. Because the girl is kind of hard to read sometimes.
"Hey guys, before you two go. Can we talk for a minute?" Hinata asked.
"Sure bud." Kazuichi said.
"What is on your mind?" Chiaki asked.
