"13, you didn't have to drag us down here for some privacy..." Isaac spoke as 13 dragged him through her new vessel towards her quarters.
"Like you did with Norfolk?" 13 asked as she stopped and put a hand on her hip.
"That... was different." Isaac reasoned.
"Well... I wanted to ensure that I had you to myself this evening. And since your work is done for the night, it's time to relax. You've been under a lot lately, especially with the last battle and the birth of your daughter." 13 said as she pulled on his arm again, only lighter this time.
"You're not wrong. But I wouldn't have it any other way." Isaac said with a small smile.
"I bet. But working yourself to the bone can only occur for so long before you burn out. We have gone too far for you to burn out." 13 said as she opened the door to her quarters.
Isaac expected her quarters to be that of a typical submarine, with pipes running through the room and steel grey dominating the walls, floor and ceiling. But to his surprise, white veils adorned a wooden framed room. A few model Seirans sat on a dresser next to several blue flower pins that one would keep in their hair. Books on aircraft types and armaments laid in neat piles in the corner. A single bulb, surrounded by more white veils, lit the room with a soft glow.
"Wow..." Isaac said as he took it in.
"First time being in a girl's room, Shikikan?" 13 tittered.
"No... but this is the first room that doesn't look like it's on a ship. Where did you get all this?" Isaac asked.
"It was here when this vessel was bonded to me. I guess our rooms are different than the Captain's quarters." 13 guessed.
"That... makes sense actually. Most times that I spend on any vessel are either in the Captain's quarters or on the bridge..." Isaac started before 13 interrupted.
"Or the Med bay, since you can't seem to keep yourself in one piece." 13 said as she sat on her bed.
"Yeah. Yeah. But seriously. I think the only other Kansen whose room I've been in was Friedrich's." Isaac pondered.
"Really? What about Nimi? Where was her first time" 13 asked.
"Captain's quarters."
"Eagle?"
"Med bay."
"Really?" 13 asked with a chuckle.
"She felt more at ease doing it there.." Isaac defended himself.
"Friedrich?"
"Her room."
"Odin?"
"Captain's quarters on the Norfolk."
"On the Norfolk?! You dirty dog." 13 teased.
"She is my flagship. So that was and continues to be my room."
"Oh well... what about Norfolk?"
"With Nimi in the Captain's quarters on the Norfolk."
"You had a threesome with Nimi on Norfolk's first? Does your lechery know no bounds?" 13 asked, teasing him more.
"I get it... but it doesn't seem to bother them. Every single one of you keep telling me that you have just as much love for each other as you do for me. So everything I have divulged was done at their request." Isaac said as he sat next to 13 on her bed.
"And what about Lady Shinano?" 13 asked.
"..."
"Shikikan?"
"Bath house on her vessel... with everyone else besides Norfolk." Isaac admitted.
"Shikikan!" 13 gasped.
"And that time was also the time that she got pregnant." Isaac said.
13 shook her head and laid back on her bed.
"To think I fell for such a ravenous man." 13 said as she looked at Isaac.
"Sorry." Isaac said with a chuckle.
"Oh well. It's not like I didn't know you already had a ring of wives waiting for your midnight calls." 13 said as she took a hold of his hand, causing him to turn and look at her.
Isaac looked down and saw that her dress was still wet.
"13, your dress is still wet. Don't you want to change?" Isaac asked.
"Change? I'm taking it off, why would I put something else on?" 13 asked as she slipped her dress off over her head, exposing herself to Isaac before scrambling under the covers.
Isaac chuckled.
"So you don't mind me looking when I can see through your dress, but the moment it comes off, you hide?" Isaac asked.
"No... it's cold, idiot Shikikan.
"You're a submarine. Aren't you used to the cold?" Isaac asked.
13 went silent as a blush crossed her face.
"Shut up and get naked too... it's... embarrassing to be naked all by myself, alright?" 13 spoke, changing the subject, as she opened the covers to offer him a spot next to her.
Isaac sighed with a smile.
"I keep forgetting that despite this bigger, more mature body you have, you're still the same 13 I met back in Niue." Isaac said as he unbuttoned his jacket and folded it before setting it on the floor.
"Of course I am." 13 said as she watched Isaac remove article after article of clothing.
Isaac, now stripped down completely, folded his clothes and placed them next to his jacket before crawling over the bed and sinking beneath the covers next to 13.
13, blushing wildly, latched one of her arms to Isaac's arm and the other she laid across his chest.
"So warm~." 13 spoke softly, a tone of pleasure from such a simple commodity caused Isaac to wonder.
"I thought you Submarine types were used to the cold." Isaac tried again as he put his free hand on her head.
"We have to be. It's not a choice. In order to keep noise down, we shut down the heating system for the vessel. And since we don't need air too often, we are sent on weeks long missions. You know the saying what you don't use, you lose?" 13 asked.
"Yeah? But that tends to be more applicable to skills and muscles." Isaac said.
"Well... I won't speak for everyone, but the submarines I know have all allowed their heating systems to fall into disrepair since they are never used." 13 said.
"Disrepair... how do you break something you don't use?" Isaac asked.
"We are still combat ships. Every depth charge and errant Torpedo detonation tends to knock some stuff loose. We just haven't bothered to fix it." 13 explained.
"13..." Isaac said, slightly disappointed in her lack of self care.
"It makes me a better ship. No need to worry." 13 said.
"I will have the Bulins fix it. I will also have them check the Ironblood subs to see if they are the same way." Isaac said.
"Isaac." 13 spoke sternly, surprising Isaac.
"This is our time. Worry about work later. I'm cold... I want you to warm me up." 13 said as she tried to pull him on top of her.
"Aren't you afraid that I am too heavy? You might have grown up, but you're still a petite woman." Isaac said.
"I'm a submarine. I go below things. It makes me feel safe. In control. And right now, in this very moment... the safest place in my mind... is beneath you." 13 said as Isaac looked her in the eyes.
She was dead serious.
"Well... it isn't like me to disappoint a lady. Your wish... is my command." Isaac said as he rolled over, descending on 13 as her eyes begged him for the love she knew him to give.
Eldridge sat next to Shinano in the berths that made up the port. She had her hydrophone dipped off the side of her vessel and was playing with it as she watched the fish coming over to check it out.
Eldridge only looked up when she heard the sound of wooden shoes moving quickly over the concrete. She saw a brown furred fox looking at the Shinano with an intense look on her face.
"Hello?" Eldridge tried, breaking the fox's concentration.
"Oh... hello there." Amagi said as her curiosity drew her to Eldridge's vessel.
"Who you?" Eldridge asked.
"I am the Sakura Battleship Amagi. Who are you?" Amagi asked as she boarded Eldridge's vessel.
"Eldridge. Union Submarine Destroyer." Eldridge answered as Amagi sat next to her.
"Submarine Destroyer?" Amagi asked.
"Eldridge good at destroying Submarines. Isaac helped make Eldridge super powerful." Eldridge spoke with a smile.
"I see. I guess that explains the hydrophone. What are you doing out so late? Do you not sleep at this time?" Amagi asked.
"Can't sleep. Hydrophone picking up noise." Eldridge said.
"Enemy?" Amagi asked, ready to spread the word.
"No. It's Miss 13 and Isaac." Eldridge said as she watched the fish swimming around the hydrophone, a few brave ones deciding to take a curious nibble.
"I-13 and the Shikikan? Whatever could they be doing down there?" Amagi asked, knowing full well what she saw on the docks, but putting on a show for Eldridge to keep her distracted.
"Eldridge thinks Isaac is helping 13 move things. Things keep banging around and Miss 13 keeps telling Isaac to push harder." Eldridge said.
Amagi blushed, covering her face with a tail.
"Eldridge, let's pull up the Hydrophone for tonight. Maybe if you shut it off, you'll be able to sleep." Amagi said, resting a hand on the wire for the hydrophone.
"Too bored to sleep." Eldridge said.
"Well... I'm going to go meet with Shinano, would you like to come?" Amagi asked, knowing full well what Eldridge was hearing.
"Okay. That sounds fun." Eldridge said as she pulled up her hydrophone and shut it off before stowing it in a metal box welded to the superstructure.
"Alright, come along now." Amagi said as she extended her hand to Eldridge, who gladly took it and followed Amagi.
Amagi knocked on the door to Shinano's room.
"Door's unlocked." Shinano's voice wafted gently throughout the air.
"Alright... I'm coming in. I have Eldridge with me." Amagi said as she opened the door, dropping Eldridge's hand the moment she saw the ball of black fur on Shinano's chest.
"Shinano... is that?" Amagi asked.
"This is Yume. An eternal gift given to me by Isaac. Our daughter." Shinano said, opening her eyes softly and looking over at Amagi.
"So it's true... you have had a child." Amagi said.
"And I am eternally grateful. Would you like to see her?" Shinano asked.
"I... I would love to." Amagi said as she walked over and stood next to Shinano. Shinano scooped Yume off of her breast and covered herself.
"She was just eating, so she may like having her back patted." Shinano said as she sat up in the bed.
Amagi nodded as Shinano handed Yume to her. Amagi, having never dealt with a child before, had to be shown had to hold Yume properly.
Amagi was going to lift Yume to her shoulder when Yume opened her eyes.
"Oh my gods!" Amagi squeaked.
"Hmm?" Shinano asked.
"She has your eyes." Amagi said as she played with Yume's hands.
"Everyone has said such. I assume you have come to ask me about the circumstances of my pregnancy?" Shinano asked.
"Your dreams serve you well." Amagi said as she cooed at Yume, who laughed a bit.
"To be honest, I don't know. The only notable thing was that Yume was conceived around the time of the anniversary of my launch." Shinano said.
"Hmm... That isn't much to go on." Amagi said.
"I'm not too sure of it myself. But Isaac would know." Shinano suggested.
"He's... busy." Amagi said.
"Ah. Well, I would ask him when he wakes up tomorrow." Shinano said with a giggle.
"Does it... bother you that he's off galivanting with a Submarine when you're here caring for your child?" Amagi asked.
Shinano shook her head.
"We all knew when we accepted a ring from him that we would have to share. We all understand that we are the ones who pushed him towards Polygamy. So why should we have the right to be mad at him for a decision we all made?" Shinano asked.
"Huh... I never thought of it that way. I wonder how Michael feels about such a thing." Amagi asked, feeling something tugging at the back of her mind.
"Well, that is between you two, Amagi. You have to communicate with him about it." Shinano said.
"I...I guess I shall have to. Can you... help me with that?" Amagi asked.
"Hmm?" Shinano asked.
"I'm a tactician on the battlefield... but Love is a war in which I have little experience." Amagi said.
"Are you not married to Michael?" Shinano asked.
"I am... but to bring up Polygamy at a time like this? I don't think I can do it without making it awkward." Amagi said as Yume fell asleep on her shoulder.
"I see. Well, I have been inside for a while. A walk will do me some good. Come come. We shall find your Michael." Shinano said as she, Amagi and Eldridge all walked out of her room and towards the gangway down to the docks.
