"Battleships, form a shell around the carriers and the landing group! Cruisers, form a shell behind the battleships to provide AA just in case the other islands were hiding airfields capable of fielding bombers and fighters. Destroyers, get in there and assist our landing craft. Sink any enemy craft that are launched from that island!" Isaac barked orders to the fleet as the mass of steel responded to his will.
From the bridge of the Norfolk, Isaac could see the landing ships lining up between the Baltimore class cruisers and flooding their well decks as well as dropping their onboard landing craft into the water.
"This is good. Four Thousand men should be plenty to get this started." Isaac said as he tapped his helmet.
"Ground radio's, roll call." Isaac spoke.
"Radio one reporting. Lance Corporal Strider at your command."
"Radio two reporting. Private Jackson at your command, Admiral."
"Radio three reporting. This is Taka, Shikikan. Tell us where you need us."
"Radio four reporting. This is Ben, Admiral. Give me and my men some targets. I'm itching for a good fight."
"Radiomen, your orders are to establish a foothold on the beach and prepare a forward operating camp. I will be ashore shortly to provide additional support along with General MacArthur." Isaac spoke.
"Understood!" The four radios responded before Isaac cut the line.
"Zero, You're coming ashore. I'll need your intelligence on Tester in order to properly fight this battle. Norfolk, Summon MacArthur and the bulins. We're going." Isaac said as Zero nodded.
"Be careful… don't you dare hesitate to call me if you need additional support." Norfolk said with a small pout.
"I'll be taking several of the girls from the fleet ashore as well. Get me… Warspite, Texas, Richelieu and Yamashiro. I want those four to act not only as my escorting entourage, but they can assist in providing cover until we can offload MacArthur's tanks." Isaac said.
"Understood. I will assume command until you or Odin return then?" Norfolk asked.
"Yes. You're in charge of the fleet until Odin or I return. The only action you must consult with us on is if you wish to maneuver the entire fleet. Other than that, you are to assume full command. Make me proud." Isaac ordered.
"I won't let you down, Isaac." Norfolk said as a firm hand came down on Isaac's shoulder.
"I hope you weren't planning on excluding me, Isaac." Vengeance's voice spoke.
"Vengeance, I didn't know you were listening in." Isaac spoke as he turned to see MacArthur at the head of the Bulins alongside Chief Bulin, who had somehow managed to get her hands on a 1911.
Isaac smiled.
"Of course I was listening. You expect me to not wish to fight this battle? Against those who betrayed me? Remember, Isaac. That is why I joined you. To fight. Don't you dare expect me to sit on the sidelines." Vengeance said as Chief Bulin racked her 1911.
"The Bulins are ready for war, Admiral!" Chief Bulin said in her adorable squeaky tone.
Isaac walked over and removed her cap before ruffling her hair.
"Excellent. With warfighters like you and Vengeance, we can already call this campaign a success." Isaac said as he placed the cap back on her head.
"Are you guys ready to fight?" Isaac asked the Bulins.
"Yeah!" They all yelled in unison as various tools and knives were brandished. Another chuckle escaped Isaac's lips.
"MacArthur… you ready?" Isaac asked.
"As I'll ever be, Admiral. And I might be able to get some support from the locals on this and surrounding islands should this campaign take a bit longer than expected." MacArthur said.
"Glad to hear it, General. This is the Same Siren that sent Hood to kill us with the wisdom dust bombs, and also created the Superbattleship drones. She may have some more nasty tricks up her sleeve so we should be ready." Isaac said.
"With that said, Commander. I too would like to accompany you. You kept me from fighting long enough… It's time for me to start towing the line as well." Hood's voice came from the lower depths of the corridor.
"Hood. Are you able to fight? I thought you were still recovering." Isaac asked as Hood walked onto the bridge of the Norfolk with Otto and Laura in tow.
"I managed to work with her during the cruise to and from Palau, Kommandant. I have managed to restore her rigging to proper working order. And Bremerton, along with myself, have cleared her mentally for combat. She may not have her vessel, but she's good to go." Otto explained.
"Yeah! Auntie Hood is super strong, Mister!" Laura spoke, earning her a headpat from the Royal Battleship.
"Alright. Then when the others arrive, we will depart for the beach. I'll have you stay with me, Hood. I'm sure the Wolfpacks will be gunning for my head when they realize that I'm on the battlefield.
"Already here and waiting, Commander." Texas said as she, Warspite, Richelieu and Yamashiro all poked their heads in.
"Excellent timing. Norfolk, get in contact with Odin and make sure she's okay. If needed, send Roon in to assist." Isaac said.
"Roon… Isaac?" Norfolk asked, her face one of concern.
"Fleet carriers are no joke. If Odin requires aid, we need someone on her level. And Roon has the power to match my Vice Commander. If Odin needs help, send in Roon." Isaac reiterated.
"I understand." Norfolk said as Isaac turned to the Chief bulin who was looking over her mysteriously acquired 1911.
"Chief." Isaac spoke.
"Yes, Commander?"
"Get the boats. We're going in." Isaac said as he walked off the bridge towards where the Bulins kept the inflatable boats.
"Quite the opponent." Odin spoke as she faced off with Hornet, whose blacked out eyes sent a shiver down Jager's spine.
"You serve that murderer? Freely? That makes you no better than him." Hornet spoke as her rigging shimmered to life, sending a squadron of suicidal mini planes towards Odin, all of which exploded on the ground at her feet.
"Murderer? The Kommandant has done no such thing. He fights to free this world from the Sirens." Odin spoke as the electricity cackling around her intensified. She lifted her arm and from it a clearly defined dragon's head made of lighting formed. With a flick of her wrist, the dragon's head erupted forth, it's body growing from her hand and it's head slamming against Hornet, transferring the electrical charge, sending the carrier flying.
The remaining energy transferred to the ground creating a small explosion that threw dust into the air. Odin began walking forward into the cloud of dust, only to be flanked on both sides by several more squadrons of suicidal planes, which she handily dodged with some quick footwork.
"Still standing, huh? The Kommandant wasn't kidding. You fleet carriers sure are tough." Odin muttered.
"Of course we are, Kraut. We had to face Imperial Japan. Kamikaze attacks. Submarines. Hordes of destroyers armed with long lance torpedoes. We don't go down easy… Yorktown, my sister took so much before they managed to put her down. BUT YOU NEVER GAVE ENTERPRISE A CHANCE!" Hornet yelled as the smoke was blown away by some unseen force.
"Wait, what?" Odin stopped cold as miniature bombs hit the ground all around her. Looking up, she saw smaller B-25 bombers shimmering away to nothing.
The bombs detonated, forcing Odin to defend herself from the surrounding blast.
"THAT MONSTER KILLED MY SISTER!"
