Gangut dried her eyes as she and Friedrich set to work on getting Avrora's body removed from the spire. Friedrich took care of Avrora's cube, gently removing it as several small pieces fell off into a pure white cloth that Friedrich was holding beneath the cube. Wrapping the cube tightly and securing it, Friedrich then moved to crush the spire in the spot directly above where Avrora was impaled, allowing her to shorten the distance they would need to lift Avrora's body to remove her. Gangut backed off to prepare a white sheet on her bow as Friedrich carried the corpse of their sister quietly behind her.

Friedrich laid Avrora down as gently as she could and aided Gangut in tightly wrapping the body with the white cloth she had procured. Friedrich also placed the shattered cube inside the cavity in Avrora's cadaver, earning her a look from Gangut.

"To make her as whole as we can before she finally goes home." Friedrich whispered softly as Gangut nodded.

"I thank you, Comrade. For granting an old enemy this privilege." Gangut spoke as she took to removing the bullet from her friend's head before doing the final wrapping of the body.

"Now is not the time for old enemies. We are nothing more than two sisters of war, laying our fellow sister to rest." Friedrich countered

Gangut nodded again before pulling the bottle of tainted vodka from her dress.

Gangut popped the cork on the bottle. Dropping the bullet into the bottle, Gangut then closed the bottle and tore a small segment of her shirt to tie around the top to seal the bottle and ensure she would not drink from it.

"Shall we bury her at sea?" Friedrich asked.

Gangut nodded.

"Then perhaps we can use U-47 to assist us." Friedrich said as she contacted the submarine.

"U-47. Could you assist us please?" Friedrich asked.

"Yes, Friedrich. What can I do your you?" 47 asked as she sailed her vessel beside Gangut's vessel.

"Can you spot a nice area on the sea floor to lay our sister to rest?" Friedrich asked.

"I was already way ahead of you. I have a nice clearing next to an abandoned anchor. The design of said anchor looks to be Great War era." 47 divulged.

"That will do perfectly. This was the site of many battles. She would have wanted to be laid to rest on the field of battle." Gangut said as she and Friedrich lifted the body and transferred it down to the bow of the U-47.

"Have you said your goodbyes?" 47 asked quietly.

"I have said what I needed to… thank you." Gangut said as 47 returned to her vessel and slowly began filling the ballast tanks

Friedrich spoke up as the sub dipped below the surface.

"Today… we lost not only a friend. But a powerful ally. From the battles of the Great War to the siege of Russia by the Sirens. Avrora fought valiantly and with vigor on par with the strongest of champions. But on this fateful day, she fell… in battle against the Siren menace. She will be remembered not only by her sisters in arms, but her name will be heard from the top of every rooftop in Russia. No man will forget her name. And every child will learn of her. We now commend this body, our dear sister in arms, to the deep blue sea. The sea will keep her secrets and allow her to rest peacefully as her soul dines in the galley of Valhalla. And as my dear husband, Admiral Isaac Garner would say… Protected Cruiser Avrora has returned to quarters. Rest easy sister, we'll pick up the watch from here." Friedrich spoke as Allen Sumner and Gangut turned their guns out to sea and fired a 21-gun salute as a final farewell.

"We should head for Japan. Let us honor her request and not advance any further until the might of the main fleet backs us." Friedrich said as Gangut actively walked over to her and hugged her. Friedrich's shock was noticeable as this was very unlike the hardened Soviet battlewagon.

"She was with me… from the start." Gangut whispered as a tear left her bloodshot eyes.

"I am terribly sorry for your loss, my child." Friedrich spoke softly, her voice soothing the pain in Gangut's mind as she allowed Gangut to cry softly in her arms.

"If it's all the same to you, my child. We shall see to it that Purifier suffers as Avrora did. But for now, we must retreat." Friedrich spoke as she rubbed Gangut's back.

"Agreed. I promised the Admiral I wouldn't make any rash decisions. I will not endanger my comrades by going in with anything more than overwhelming force." Gangut spoke as she and Friedrich looked down at the blood tinted bottle of vodka that held the only remains that signified Avrora's existence.

"Gangut! Come in now! That is a direct order!" Isaac yelled as Zero and Vengeance stood beside him. Isaac had sent everyone else away in light of this event.

"I am here, comrade." Gangut spoke a few moments later.

"Where were you!? Tell me you didn't shoot her! Vengeance said there might be a way to bring her back." Isaac said.

"Unfortunately, Dear Husband… she passed quickly after our last transmission. Her will to live lasted only long enough to deliver her message. We have just finished laying her to rest here in the Bering Sea. There was nothing more we could do." Friedrich spoke.

Isaac's shoulders fell.

"Oh… my deepest apologies then." Isaac said as Vengeance looked at him.

"What will you do?" Vengeance asked.

"Well… I told you what Avrora said. Even if there was something we could do… we'd be subjecting her to the mental torture of fearing every waking moment. It would not be fair to wrench her from her peace for our own gain. She has earned her rest. Her final duty has been completed." Isaac said as he went back to the radio.

"Once your proceedings are finished, head for the Kure Naval Yards in Japan. We will meet up with you there." Isaac ordered.

"Yes, Comrade. We shall see you in Japan." Gangut said as she cut the line.

"Do you think she passed so easily?" Isaac asked.

"Yes. Purifier is not one for mercy. If she had been merciful to Avrora, Avrora would have been long dead. That said, we should take precautions for you, Isaac." Zero spoke.

"For me?" Isaac asked.

"Yes. Purifier is an excessively violent being. It has been documented that she will create scenes of unfathomable violence and gore using any humans she decides to be worthy of her wrath. You are absolutely at the top of that list. But not only that, due to your… PTSD as Alice calls it, you may not be capable of seeing these scenes wherever they may pop up. We must dictate a security force for you to be by your side that answers to someone other than you. Someone you cannot order to leave for any reason. Your wives will be the pool of candidates. But you need to choose who will both protect and shield you from here onwards." Zero spoke.

"And who would they report to?" Isaac asked.

"The other wives and myself." Zero spoke.

"That's… a bit of a stretch, Zero. You sent an Oceana to kill us, remember?" Isaac asked.

"I do… vividly. However, I have no reason to do you harm. You've given me a body that cannot be harmed. Whereas my own kind would force me back into a material body to be tortured for my betrayal. I want nothing more than to protect you, even if it is selfish." Zero spoke.

"Selfish?" Isaac asked.

"Yes. I have been studying you. How your brain works. I want to know how you managed to do all of this. So, in order to do so, I will make sure your protection is paramount." Zero admitted.

"Hmm… fine. But I want to see what data you have collected. Sound fair?" Isaac asked.

"It will do. Who will escort you from now on?" Zero asked.

"Musashi and Lizzy. Will the roster change in the future?" Isaac asked.

"If one wishes to be relieved of duty or to be added to your security detail, they can do so." Zero said.

"Then… I accept." Isaac said as he looked ahead towards the far-off land mass known to many as the Land of the Rising Sun… Japan.
