Phase 18: Operation Javier Part 1
Leon and the others managed to find a small house in a small forest area which is well hidden from the enemies. "Perfect, we can take a break here for a bit," Leon said as they enter the house to see it abandoned.
"Gee, my feet are killing me," Ashley said as she flops onto the couch. Ark can see an oven in the kitchen which seem to work still.
"We can cook something with this," Ark said as they pull out rations are dried fruits, sliced meat, and diced potatoes.
"We can make a good stew with this along with a fruit salad," Makoto said as they find a pot to use with them carrying bottled water to make meat stew.
"Sounds good to me," Ashley said as she takes out her boots to let out her cute little feet. "You like my little toes," Ashley flirts with Ark.
"There are cute and nice nail polish," Ark points to her having blue nails on her toes.
"Thank you," she said as Leon is making the stew with Makoto on top of the second floor to watch over the area to make sure there is no Ganados nearby.
Ark is mixing the fruits to make the salad with Ashley looks over to be impressed with him making their food. "Know how to cook huh?" Ashley asked.
"Yep, you can have to when you are on the field. Take anything you can from your surrounding and get your energy back," Leon said.
"Makes sense," Ashley said as Ark places the bowl of fruits on the table.
"Yep, military training on my part. Going into the battlefield between enemy lines or stuck in a field filled with Bioweapons. You need to keep your strength up or you collapse from all the stuff you do to survive," Ark said.
"Gee guys, you are so cool," Ashley said thinking they were awesome how they handle themselves against the monsters so far on their quest to get back home.
"Well, we didn't start badass. We level up through a lot of hard work and suffering," Makoto said as she is done checking the surrounding location.
"Really?" Ashley asked.
"Yes, I used to be like you. A young woman just going to school and getting caught up in an outbreak. Like the one in Haze," Makoto said.
"Oh, I heard about that on the news. It was sealed off due to some radioactive leaks in the town's nuclear reactor," Ashley said.
"That's what they tell the public," Leon said as he stir up the stew to smell it. "Oh boy, this is going to be good," Leon said.
"Who trained you guys?" Ashley asked.
"Oh, Major Jack Krauser. A very seasoned soldier is the one who trained me in the past. I grow my skills throughout my missions," Leon said.
"I was in the army and then went to work as a merc for hire in Umbrella. Then I became a PI before becoming an agent of the government fighting bioterrorism," Ark said.
"I was a survivor of the Haze outbreak and got some training from my father," Makoto said.
"Very different in terms of your backgrounds," Ashley said impressed by this.
"Colorful crew we got here right and we got a college student with us," Makoto said playfully.
"I pull my weight despite how small it is," Ashley said.
"Yeah, you are right. You did help in a pinch," Leon said as they finished making food for them to enjoy. "Well dig in," Leon said as the meat stew is ready to pour into bowls for everyone to eat and fill up their stomachs.
Ashley looks at the stew to have her nose filled with delicious warmth. "Seems pretty good for rations," Ashley said as she takes her spoon to take a bite out of the potatoes and meat chunks. "This is good," Ashley said as they sit down at the table to enjoy a nice meal.
"Enjoy my fruit salad, Ashley," Ark said as he has a bowl filled with dried fruit assorted neatly.
"It looks very pretty," Ashley to take a piece of orange to bite into it. "Pretty nice," Ashley said as the four enjoy some good food together.
"Man hon, you knocked it out of the park with this stew," Makoto said.
"Well, I got these magic hands which go onto a roll when it starts," Leon said as he places his hand on her curvy thigh giving it a nice squeeze.
"Oh, I know that too well," Makoto said to kiss him on the lips to enjoy his food. Ashley looks at this to be quite jealous of the couple.
"Gee, they seem so comfortable with each other. Can I have that with Ark?" Ashley thought thinking dreamy of this mature man.
"Ark, do you like younger women?" Ashley asked in a flirty tone.
"Well yeah, they have a lot of life and energy behind them. You know, it's appealing like you," Ark said.
"Oh, like me, that is nice to hear," Ashley said as Ark drops his spoon under the table.
"Oops, let me get my spoon," Ark ducks under to grab it to see Ashley spread out her legs to give him a nice look at his white silk panties. "Damn this is so cute, there is even a cute bow in the front too," Ark can't stop staring at them.
"Like what you see Ark?" Ashley whispers to look under to see him peeking under her green skirt. "I spread my legs on purpose to give you a better look. I like them?" she asked as he nods his head like an idiot in front of the American princess. "Good, when we have time. I want to give you something nice," Ashley said.
"Yeah," he said dumbly as Ashley shows him a bright smile which he would for hell and back to keep her showing off that lovely smile. Ark gets back onto his chair as Ashley is curious about something.
"Everyone wants their monsters to play with after Raccoon City," Ashley said.
"Ever since the nuking of Raccoon City. Umbrella was in a deep legal battle against the US government. You heard about the Raccoon Trails?" Leon asked.
"Oh yes, it's all over the news but I don't pay attention to it much. My father was deeply involved with it," Ashley said.
"Yes on record there are no events with bioweapons. But off record, several outbreaks happened between 1998 to 2003. We were deeply involved with that. Securing pieces of evidence and destroying Umbrella's labs and bases putting them on the defensive," Leon continued.
"Interesting can you tell me one of your missions?" Ashley asked.
"There was one mission within 2002, we got intel that a former Umbrella researcher contacted a man by the name of Javier Hidalgo in a small South American nation. Javier is an ex-drug lord with political ties within the nation and surrounding areas. He disappeared shortly after this happened," Leon said.
"Interesting what happened?" Ashley asked as Leon begins telling her the story of Operation Javier.
Going back in time to 2002, within a small South American region of Amparo. Leon, Ark, and Makoto are waiting for Krauser to show up at their meeting point. Leon is looking at a picture of the infamous drug lord Javier Hidalgo who got into connection with a failing Umbrella to sell him viruses to boost his control over the small region.
Makoto is checking her PSG-1 with a suppressor along with her MP-412 Rex and TMP machine pistol. Leon checks his M4 Super 90 along with his handgun the Silver Ghost. Ark holding a P90 SMG along with his trusty M1911 pistol.
"Javier Hidalgo. A man equally famous for his extravagant lifestyle. Following his sudden disappearance, we found out that he had attempted to approach Umbrella," Leon thought as the snake is moving through the patches of grass heading for Leon.
Everyone is unaware of its presence for begins to lunge at Leon. Suddenly a knife cuts into the air and stabs the snake mid-lunge as Krauser has saved his former student's life. Krauser looks on to pull out a canister to drink some water to cool off.
"So, you think B.O.W.s exist? Oh wait, you guys said you faced them before, huh?" Krauser wondered in a bit of doubt in his voice for the BOWs are still considered a state secret only very few knew of their existence. He yanks off the snake from his custom-made Fighting Knife to slip it back into its hoister.
"This is my first mission with Major Jack Krauser, who had mentored me in the past. He's a soldier with the U.S. Special Operations Command. And has quite the resume of accomplishments in the field. But to him, after all, he's been through, B.O.W.s, Cryptid. They're all the same to him," Leon thought.
"Our guide is in a village called Mixcoatl up ahead. He'll take us to Amparo where Javier is hiding out. Come on, let's move," Krauser said as they head for the village with the sun high in the sky.
"Gee, it's so warm," Makoto said to be lucky to wear some summer gear.
"Yeah, the Amazon is killing it with the heat here," Ark said.
"We better bear with it until we get to the village. Hopefully, we don't find any of Javier's men. I heard about the Silver Serpents are armed to the teeth," Krauser said as he bring his HK-45 sidearm along with a LR-300 assault carbine modified with a M203 grenade launcher, an ACOG scope, and a laser sight. "That is why I have this," Krauser said.
"Seems like you are prepared like we are. This is not going to be easy," Leon said having his trusty shotgun sling on his back to hold onto his Silver Ghost pistol.
"Come on, we got this Rookie," Krauser said talking to Leon like a kid didn't see each other for months now.
"Yeah, with all of us. We can handle anything out here," Ark said.
"Good to have you here Ark?" Krauser said.
"Me too, your experience is needed on this mission," Ark said as the four managed to find the village to up at the gate to see no one guarding it.
"That is weird," Leon said as Krauser opens up the big gate to let them slip inside. They go into the town square to see the place is eerily quiet.
Makoto looks over at the fence to see a bunch of posters which has girls around the ages of 13 to 16 gone missing within the surrounding area. "Lots of missing girls here, pretty awful," Makoto said.
"Some perverts kidnapping girls," Ark said as they hear a local radio nearby talking about the local news of the area.
"The number of missing girls has been raised to 50 recently. It has sharply gone up this year. The local government is advising parents to watch over their children at all times," the radio host said. Leon, Makoto, Ark, and Krauser look around to see no sign of anyone around.
"There is more than just missing girls here," Leon said.
"It's like they disappearance out of thin air," Makoto said as Krauser grips onto his pistol tightly.
"This is like a battlefield, like death hanging in the air," Krauser said.
"What are you a war poet or something," Leon said lightly for Ark noticed a person coming out of the alley to hang their head looking dizzy.
"Hey, you alright sir," Krauser said as he wanted to give this guy a hand but Leon stops him.
"No Major, something isn't right about this," Leon said as Krauser can see the man moans going to lunge at him. Leon fires his gun to put a bullet into his head to save Krauser from being bitten by a zombie.
"So, they are real zombies," Krauser said to be shaken by this but good at hiding with his stony facial expression.
"Told you so, I fear the worse," Leon said as they see a bunch of zombies burst out of the doors from the nearby buildings. They see a few zombies behind them as they open fire with their weapons taking them down.
"So, this is what the virus can do huh?" Krauser wondered sounding interested in this.
"This seems different than the other ones," Leon said noting that they are way more aggressive and faster like Crimson Heads. They see more zombies bursting out of the buildings and tight alleyways.
"Gee, they hit this village with the T-Virus," Makoto said.
'Time to move," Ark said as she switches to his P90 to pop them in the head.
"Seems the head is the most vulnerable spot on their bodies," Krauser said as he uses his pistol to pop them in the head to knock them down to clear the way into the alleyway. If this is the toughest these BOWs can toss at us. We got nothing to worry about," Krauser feeling good about his abilities.
"Don't get cocky sir, this isn't over yet," Leon said being on guard to see more zombies coming out of the corners trying to surround them.
"Crap," Makoto said as a few are nearby with one trying to bite Krauser.
"Major," Leon fires his Silver Ghost to pop the zombie in the head while Krauser kicks the living corpse into a wall.
"I own you one Rookie," Krauser said.
"I bet in time, you will pay me back soon," Leon said as Makoto uses her marksman rifle to put down a few zombies a bit away with the men clearing out the few zombies around them. They reached a section of the village where there is a bunch of dead bodies everywhere littering the ground.
'This is bad," Leon said.
"Come on, let's move," Krauser said.
"The T-Virus hit this place pretty hard," Makoto said.
"No doubt by Jaiver trying to cover his tracks," Ark said.
"We need to find our guide and quick," Krauser said as several more zombies appeared.
"Not good, come on," Leon said as they fire at the groups of zombies but they just keep coming.
They go down a small alley to see it's a dead end but they can jump over the wooden fence blocking their path. "I would check to see if we got hostiles here," Krauser said as Leon, Makoto, and Ark fired their weapon with the zombies getting too close for comfort. Ark kicks a zombie to crash into a wall to break its neck on impact.
"Gee, what a pain," Ark said as Makoto switches to her TMP with a fixed stock and a red dot sight to blast through a group of zombies.
"Okay the coast is clear here," Krauser said to leap onto the other side. The trio follows up soon after as there are no enemies there.
"Gee what kind of mess we got ourselves into," Krauser said as the zombies break down the fence. "Gee these guys are hungry," Krauser said as they gun them down.
They approach the tight corridor to see spider B.O.W.s called Jumping Maneater. They bounce off the walls trying to get closer but they managed to shoot them down.
"So, these are BOWs huh?" Krauser asked.
"Yep, come in all sorts of shapes and sizes but these are new models," Ark said as they go to the gate to see a group of zombies with familiar markings on their bodies. They also have helmets on their heads to protect them from headshots.
The group fires their weapons to take them out as they approach the bodies to see the tattoos. "Snake tattoos, the marking of Jaiver's men. The Sacred Snakes," Krauser said.
"What is Javier doing with this virus?" Leon questioned as they go over to head into the next section of the village. They are nearby the river with them walking over wooden planks connections to the other houses.
"The water is rising. Has Jaiver's name all over this," Krauser said.
"Seems like he knew we were coming to get him," Ark said.
"I have my doubts that our guide survived all this," Krauser said.
"We need to be careful here," Leon said as they see the water underneath them as the sun is beating down on the blood-soaked landscape.
They look around the river houses to see no one is inside. "Dead everywhere," Makoto said as she shouldered her TMP to see a house which has something inside.
"Hey anyone home?" Ark asked to hear no answer.
"Look a grenade launcher, this would be handy," Leon said as he enters inside to find a HK69A1 grenade launcher along with some frag and flashbang ammo to sling it on his back. They go back onto the bridge to see more zombies coming their way as Makoto pepper them with bullets to take them out.
They see the bridge section was taken out by the rushing waters of the river from before. "Gee the bridge is gone now," Leon said as they see rows of dead bodies in the water being consumed by an infected Piranhas.
"Piranhas," Krauser said as some of them were jumping at them. They use their close-range weapons to take them down while Makoto uses her Tanto dagger to knock it back into the waters.
"Can't go this way," Ark said as they look back to see more zombies coming for them.
"Let's go inside that building," Leon said as the others nod their heads to leap through the windows.
They see no one is there as Makoto spots a Jumping Maneater clinging to the ceiling to wait for them to come inside. She fires her TMP to knock it down and kill it swiftly.
They see a door to go through to see a building connected via a bridge to hear cries for help. "Help, someone please," a man begged as they rush over to go into the building to see it in ruins.
"There is our guide," Krauser said going over and bending down to check his condition which is not good. A big hole in his stomach bleeding onto the wooden floor. "Hey, what happened?" he asked.
"That girl," the guide said as the four were confused by this.
"The girl, what are you talking about?" Krauser asked.
"That girl has brought demons into our village. She escaped from Jaiver's mansion. I helped her but then she," the guide was struggling to talk with blood coming out of his mouth.
"She came from Jaiver's mansion. Where is she now?" Krauser asked as the guide went lifeless and died right there. "Shit, he's gone. He said she escaped from Jaiver's mansion," Krauser said.
"She could be one of the missing girls," Makoto said.
"The Sacred Snakes are known to sell organs on the black market. Wouldn't put it past them. There is no evidence for this official but we need to find this girl if we are to get to the bottom of this," Krauser said as everyone nods their heads.
"Yeah, I agree. With our guide dead, she could be our only lead to get to Jaiver's mansion," Leon said.
"There is a boat we can use at the church. Let's check it out," Makoto said as they walk away but they hear something behind them. They turn around with their weapons drawn but a tentacle shoots out of the floor and grabs the dead guide into the dark waters.
"What the hell is that?" Ark asked.
"Things keep being surprising around here," Krauser said as they keep moving forward. Then a humanoid Hunter Gamma 1 appears to get shot by the gang. "Froggers being popping up here too," he said.
"Place is filled with surprises," Ark said. "Seems like the church is down that way. We got to cross this bridge to get there," Ark said as they walk over the wooden platforms. They encounter more Hunter Gamma 1s leaping out of the water and onto the bridge trying to latch them with their tongues.
Makoto gets tongue-tied by one of the Gamma 1s with Leon using his combat knife to slice it off freeing her from the monster's grip. "Thanks, hon," Makoto said.
"No problem, only I can hold you like that," Leon said lightly.
"Gee, very smooth," Makoto said as they fire their guns to hold off the Gamma 1s. Krauser switches to his fully loaded LR-300 carbine to tear through the enemies. He looks through the scope to take out incoming Gamma 1s on top of roofs.
"Gee, so relentless," Krauser said to keep moving and shooting to wipe out the surrounding Hunter Gamma 1s, and then a big creature appears. "Now what?" he questioned as a Hunter Gamma 2 appears which is bipedal and it's much bigger sporting a huge mouth that can swallow any of them whole.
"Model 2, eat this," Leon grabs his grenade launcher to blast it to knock it back into the water. "Meaty little thing," he reloads his HK69A1 to lob another grenade to blow off a chunk of flesh from the B.O.W. I got some medicine for you," Leon loads up pyro shells into his M4 Super 90 to lob a bunch of fire to set the beast on fire which is very vulnerable to heat.
It screams in pain as Krauser uses the M203 launcher under the barrel of his LR-300 to destroy the beast with an explosive. "Time to get to the church," Krauser said as the four get down onto the platform to be nearby the church within the cavern.
Suddenly a weird aquatic creature leaps out of the water to barely hit them. "What the hell is that?" Makoto asked as she sees several Hunter Gamma 1s appear out of the waters around the church.
"Gee, these froggers don't give up," Krauser said as they fire their weapons to take them out with ease. They wield their weapon to enter the church to see it in ruins but see a young teenage girl sitting on the floor singing a lovely song.
"So pretty," Makoto said about the song as they spot at a girl sporting a white dress with the skirt torn up and covered in blood.
Krauser looks over to see that same creature from before staring at the young lady just floating there. "Rookie, over there," Krauser said as Leon spots the creature to see it is passive.
Suddenly the girl stops singing and faints. The creature begins to be enraged to let out a powerful roar to shake up the cavern. "Shit, here it comes," Leon said as the creature leaps onto the floor to stalk towards them. They fire their weapons but its exoskeleton is protecting it from the gunfire.
"Damn it, our weapons are not working," Ark said as the beast knocks them through the door onto the wooden panels. The monster leaps into the water as they try to get a new angle trying to find a weak point to use.
"Just we can't pierce through that shell armor," Makoto said as Leon uses his grenade launcher to lob a frag round to knock the beast back into the water.
"So annoying," Ark said as the beast leaps into the water and gets it back onto the platform to use his tentacles to leash out at them. They dodge its attacks with them shooting back but no damage was made to the thick armor.
"We need to drop that slab and crush the head," Leon said as he points to a stone slab on the front of the church.
"Okay," Krauser aims his M203 at the stone slab with the aquatic beast landing in front of the church.
"Now," Leon said as Krauser lobs the grenade round to strike the slab making it fall on top of the beast's head cracking the armored skin and exposing a section of soft flesh underneath. The beast screams in pain to escape into the water and get out of there as quickly as possible.
"Gee that was close," Leon said as they go over to check on the girl to see if she is okay. "She fits the bill alright for the missing girls," he said as teenage girls were missing and thankfully they saved one of them.
"Hey Rookie, I found a boat. We can use it to get to the dam. Take the girl with us," Krauser said as he and Ark prepare the boat which is enough for all of them to ride on. Leon carries the girl with Makoto giving him backup just in case the monsters show up again. They all get on the boat to head off into the river and head for the dam where they will find more answers.
