The Misadventures of Goki-Kakaroko

When Goki landed hard in the village, it caused a mini tremor in the area; she silently observed the place where she managed to count five small buildings ... but something told her (instinct) that this gang was not hiding in those places (because otherwise they would have been attacked long ago) and there was only one option where to look.
"..."
The Saiyan woman grunted in annoyance when she saw the entrance (again) of the train station because in a way she didn't like the idea of venturing into narrow and dark places where she might encounter strange guys like, for example, Dr. Lesko so much anymore.
"Let's get this over with..." said Goki to herself the moment she was standing in front of the railings of the train station entrance, which to her slight surprise was not as destroyed as Grayditch's and had some visibility... this I will leave for the moment.
The black-haired woman with palm-tipped black hair smoothly unlocked the station chain, but an event occurred that caught her off guard.
{Chirp}
She formed a grimace at that horrible sound that made her grit her teeth, but recovered when she looked inside the station and got another surprise when she saw that it wasn't as dark as she first thought ... in the end she was more willing to enter when she took the first step inside the train station.
"I hope I don't find another group of looters anymore..." muttered Goki with a frown as she heard strange unfamiliar sounds coming from a corridor, which she preferred to avoid for the moment because instead she felt two quite strange energies similar to one, she felt in Megaton, and for this reason she decided to investigate.
The woman with eyes as dark as coal walked cautiously for quite a while where she encountered debris, dried blood and even a lifeless body, but being distracted paying her respects to the corpse; she didn't see when a door near her position slowly opened.
"You, soft skin ... You haven't come to ... steal my secrets, have you?"
Our beloved protagonist froze in place the moment she lifted her gaze from the ground and almost immediately saw the guy who spoke to her coming out of a door a few meters away from her position, which was 'guarded' by two lit garbage cans with garbage.
"W-what...?" stuttered Goki when he saw the man with his skin peeling off like that of a corpse... he was even instinctively about to use an instant KameHameHa to disintegrate the being he had only seen in horror movies.
The bespectacled man let out a sigh at the fear/surprise radiating from the woman with the funny hair.
"This is the first time you've seen a ghoul, right?"
The Saiyan woman blinked several times at the guy's words because she remembered that this one hadn't attacked him along with the fact that he spoke like a normal person, so, slowly her fear was replaced by confusion.
"Gho...ul?" said Goki with difficulty because she wasn't familiar with a certain word and her brain tried to process it, but failed in the attempt.
The unknown man took off his glasses with the intention of wiping them with a handkerchief.
"That confirms my question."
The woman with tousled black spiky hair tilted her head to the side in utter confusion, but this she put aside as she shook her head because she watched as another subject similar in appearance to the other appeared through the doorway and said something to her in a low voice ... in the end she decided to put that aside and concentrate on what she had come to do.
"Do you know where a group called 'the Family' is located...?" asked Goki with a somewhat shadowed look because saying the name of that group of assassins made his blood boil.
The bespectacled man noticed and even felt the restrained anger of the woman in striking orange and blue clothing ... in a way it was frightening and even his bodyguard tensed up, so this was actually very disturbing.
"What have you gotten yourself into now Vance? ... I'd tell you, but I wouldn't recommend it."
The charcoal dark-eyed woman stepped forward defiantly because she wasn't afraid of anything ... except for needles, but right now they didn't count for the situation she was in.
"I don't care. I need to teach these people a lesson," Goki said as he threshed the fingers of his right hand against his left palm.
The bespectacled man let out a sigh, while at the same time motioning to his bodyguard to let the whimsical soft skin pass.
"Fine, fine... But you're at your own risk, woman."
Our beloved protagonist nodded her head gratefully. After that she started walking towards the door where the two ghouls stepped aside to leave her.
"Go behind that room, where you will see a manhole that will lead you to your target ... but watch out for radioactive debris."
The black-haired woman with black palm-shaped spiky hair said nothing and continued on her way to meet a certain group, but when she was in said room and was about to move the manhole cover ... however, something happened that made her dizzy on the verge of fainting.
"W-what...? I don't feel-"
The bespectacled man again sighed as he heard the body of a certain soft skin touch the ground, completely unconscious.
"I warned you."
The bodyguard ghoul shrugged his shoulders without giving a thought for what had happened to the reckless soft skin.
"Get her up quickly from that spot and put her on the couch so she can rest."
The bodyguard ghoul stared at his boss somewhat confused by the latter's good deed because it was rare for him to do this for strangers.
"Don't get me wrong ... I just don't want to get in trouble with people who are soft-skinned friends."
Reluctantly, the bodyguard ghoul walked over to Goki's faded figure and lifted her smoothly off the ground ... although he was a bit nervous about having the soft-skinned woman's oversized breasts very close to his face ... and speaking of soft skin, the woman's skin was really very soft indeed; if I had to describe it, I would say it was like porcelain ... hell, sometimes I missed being human.
With David
The Lone Wanderer had been running for quite a while now in order to get to the small town below the bridge.
"Damn it, Goki ... You had to wait for me..." muttered David the moment he reached the chain to Seneca Station, northwest; the latter being said by his PipBoy 300.
The blond quickly entered the station and kept running showing no signs of exhaustion because he had ingested some Buffout earlier.
"Get your hands off her!" ordered David loudly as he entered the room and pointed his assault rifle at his enemies.
The two ghouls immediately did as they were told, but one of them tensed up and was about to draw a pistol he had hidden in his waistband ... but was stopped by the voice of his boss.
"Take it easy, soft skin. I assure you we didn't do anything to your girlfriend."
As the blue-eyed young man focused his gaze on the unconscious, but healthy form lying on a couch that acted as a bed ... after a few tense seconds that seemed eternal, he ended up lowering his assault rifle from his 'enemies' and the two ghouls stopped tensing up.
Ten Minutes Later
The eyelids of our beloved protagonist slowly opened when she felt an object that made an annoying sound that would not let her sleep again, so she focused her attention on listening to the conversation:
It is very rare that someone faints with a little radiation ... even a human can resist without problems that level of radiation ... Unless ...
Unless ...?
The Saiyan woman's charcoal-dark eyes focused with some difficulty on her fellow adventurer.
Well... From what I see this woman is in excellent health, but when she came in contact with the radiation it caused her to faint immediately ... it's like the inhabitants of subway shelters when they first come in contact with radiation ...
That's... strange. She is not an inhabitant of the shelters ...
The black-haired woman with palm-tipped black hair decided to intervene in the conversation between the human and the ghoul.
"D-David?" said Goki with a hint of difficulty as he started trying to get up.
The Lone Wanderer immediately turned away leaving the ghoul talking to himself for a second.
"Goki!" exclaimed David the name of his adventuring companion and didn't hesitate for a second to position himself next to the latter. "Don't get up, you're still a bit affected from earlier," he commented with a clearly worried expression.
The charcoal dark-eyed woman looked around with obvious confusion.
"Before...? What happened?" asked Goki quite dizzy because she didn't remember much of what happened to her before reaching the room where the sewer was to get to the hiding place of a certain group.
The blond didn't answer at the moment because he had been mesmerized looking at the striking dark eyes like carbon of his traveling companion ... it was the first time he was captivated like now.
"W-Well ... Apparently you suffered a blackout when you were exposed to the radiation," David replied with a slight stutter at the beginning of his words because he must have looked like an idiot as he stared at her.
The Saiyan woman blinked when she heard the word 'radiation' because she remembered Bryan saying that word ... at no time did she notice the peculiar look on her fellow adventurer's face.
The bespectacled ghoul like a good man of science decided to intervene in the conversation and give a scientific explanation to the confused large-busted woman.
"Radiation is the propagation of energy in the form of electromagnetic waves-"
The ghoul stopped dead in his tracks as he saw the blank stare of the black-haired woman with spiky black hair in the shape of a palm tree ... this caused him to let out another sigh from his lips.
"Forget it, palm tree ... My name is Murphy. And this here Barrett, he's my bodyguard and assistant when needed."
The bodyguard was the only one to catch his boss's joke because he formed an amused little smile and incidentally his expression softened a bit as he remembered what the world was like before the Great War.
Meanwhile, the Lone Globetrotter as well as the Saiyan woman frowned, genuinely confused.
"Palmer...?" muttered Goki without understanding what she was referring to, until suddenly her mind clicked. "Hey!" she said somewhat annoyed at comparing his hair to said tree.
Murphy and Barrett chuckled at the belated reaction of the woman in exotic orange with blue attire.
"Anyway ... Where were you thinking of going, Goki?" asked David with a touch of curiosity as to why this reaction from the woman had caught his attention so much.
The woman with eyes as dark as coal looked at the boy who had defused Megaton's atomic bomb.
"To look for this group called the 'Family', of course," Goki replied somewhat confused at the human's obvious question, but again an anger returned as she remembered the atrocities a certain group had done.
The blond formed a grimace at the angry look on his traveling companion's face at the naming of a certain group that had caused so much trouble in Arefu, but he couldn't get angry at her because there was a positive energy surrounding her that made it impossible to hate her.
"I see... Okay. I'll follow this mission Lucy asked us to do. you go back to Megaton and get a medical checkup at the clinic," David ordered with a serious expression, but seeing the look of horror on Goki's face he decided to calm her down. "Calm down. Dr. Church won't use a syringe, if that's what you're afraid of," he said with a small smile that conveyed calm.
Our dear protagonist calmed down a little at those last words of the boy (ignoring David's sad smile), and this made her cross her arms with her eyes closed, thinking what to do ... at the end she opened them again with a determined expression.
"... It's okay," Goki accepted reluctantly and with a bad face because she wasn't sick to go to a hospital ... Right?
Murphy and Barrett watched curiously the interaction between their two temporary guests because it had been a long time since they had had non-hostile visitors who wanted to kill them for food, water, bottle cap or simply because of their physical appearance.
Elsewhere
The Family leader paced from place to place nervously, but never took his eyes off the entrance to his home and also kept an eye on the modified portable radios he has to communicate with Robert, who is a good friend of his and also his bodyguard.
"This is not normal..." muttered Vance to himself as he noticed the lack of reports.
The rest of the Family members watched the group leader worriedly, but like the latter they did not take their eyes off the entrance for fear of being taken by surprise.
"Vance, friend ... We have a visitor and he requests to speak with you, he says it's urgent."
This made the leader of the vampire group stop in his tracks, but he immediately grabbed the modified Walkie-talkie from the table.
"I see..." Vance stood for a few seconds in silence, analyzing what to do with this unexpected visitor. "Send him in. Maybe he knows something about what that move was that made the whole station rumble," he said to his old friend, who said 'Yes, boss'.
The other members of the Family were surprised that their leader agreed to talk to the stranger, but did nothing to hold it against him because they trusted the latter's judgment to the point of even sacrificing their lives.
Megaton
A boy along with two adults and a robot were playing Blackjack, where a lot of bottle cap was at stake.
"21," said Bryan with a big smile as he laid his cards on the table.
Sarah threw her cards down on the table in anger as she saw that she had again lost by going over 21.
"Impossible..." said Wadsworth in disbelief as he saw that indeed Master Bryan had drawn 21 again... while he was one damn 1 short of a win, but he seemed to have a curse because he always rolled 20.
Lucy looked on with a depressed expression because again he got a 7 on his cards.
"Home money ..." muttered Bryan somewhat greedily and this stood out more when he smiled.
The two women and the robot looked on angrily as the brat took their money.
