Naruto groans as his alarm clock goes off. He found himself facing towards his wall opposite to the door, where his alarm clock sat and going off loudly.

"Shut up." Naruto said as he hit the button that shuts the alarm off, making sure not to accidentally hit the snooze button.

Naruto groggily gets up, removing the blanket off him and slowly getting up. All he wore was his underwear, exposing all the scars and muscles on his body. Most of the scars on his body came from when he was still the pariah of Konoha while the rest came from saving Callie and/or Marie during their adventures around the world. As for his physique, he was initially thin and somewhat scrawny and frail with signs of malnourishment from his time in Konoha. Now, however, he has a lean yet well-muscled and defined all-around body with six-pack abs of that of an athlete, a symbol of his training and new life.

'I still remember Squid Isle and Octo Isle.' Naruto thought to himself as he looked at the desk in his room that held some stuff; a lamp to put a light on where he would write stuff, a pencil and pen holder that was filled to the brim with pens, pencils, markers, etc., some pieces of paper, and a book. The desk had a chair in front of it where Naruto could write. In front of the desk, on the wall, were some pictures; a few showing off some sort of vacation island with a resort while the rest was of various locations around the world.

Naruto felt that it has been a long time since he actually hung out with Callie and Marie, since he has been gone for some months and has recently come in. Unfortunately, the time he came back had to be when the octarians stole the Great Zapfish.

Naruto goes into his dressing room where he kept his clothes. He grabbed some random clothes, grabbed a big brown towel and a blue towel, and left to go take a shower. As he is about to enter, he hears a racket and some yelling downstairs.

"CALLIE! WE AREN'T HAVE PANCAKES AGAIN, WE'VE HAVE HAD THEM FOR THE PAST THREE DAYS NOW! IT'S WAFFLES' TURN!"

"PANCAKES! PANCAKES!"

"GET OFF MY HEAD AND STOP SLAPPING ME!"

Naruto sweat dropped while also thinking 'When did they get in?'

Naruto always locked the door at night but that didn't stop the Squid Sisters from sneaking in, or using the spare key that Naruto had to get in. He honestly never bothered to trap his home like he used to back in Konoha, too much hassle and he didn't want to come off as being too paranoid. Perhaps he should if they kept sneaking in? If only to see the hilarious moments of when they get caught in them, maybe using a camera to take a photo or record it.

Naruto shrugged and he went to take his shower.

Meanwhile down stairs, Marie held a mixing bowl in one arm while holding the wire whisk in the other. On top of her head was a pink squid that was Callie hitting her over the head with her tentacle arms.

Some time ago, she and her cousin Callie wanted to greet Naruto with a wonderful breakfast. He had returned to Inkopolis recently but they couldn't talk to him due to all the buzz about the Great Zapfish being kidnapped. While they did chat last night, it was only about business since their grandpa had informed them of some news and they wanted to see Naruto. They were hoping to catch up this morning before he goes on patrol.

Unfortunately, both Callie and Marie had different plans on what breakfast should be. Callie wanted to have pancakes with sausage while Marie wanted waffles with ice cream (at least for her anyway). This ultimately led to a fight between the squid sisters as when Marie arrived from the store with the ice cream, she caught Callie in the midst of finishing up the batter for her pancakes.

Marie managed to take the batter as well as the wire whisk from Callie while she was caught like a deer in the headlights. Callie tried to fight Marie's attempt but was quickly overpowered as she was in her squid form mixing the batter whilst Marie was in her human form. Callie tried to use her puppy-dog eyes trick on Marie since that usually works on her but Marie saw it coming a mile away and kept her eyes off of Callie to avoid falling for it. With that failure, Callie jumped onto Marie's head and began whacking the top of her head with her tentacle arms while yelling "PANCAKES!" at Marie. Though the tentacles didn't hurt at all, since it felt like getting hit by a strong pillow.

All of that came to a screeching halt when they heard the sound of the upstairs shower turning on.

"Carp, Naruto's awake." Marie said as Callie got off Marie "We need to cook this up and fast- Callie, what are you doing!?"

Callie was back in her human form and was looking up the stairs "I'll watch Naruto, you cook breakfast." Callie said, though one could hear a hot pant from her as she made her way upstairs.

"Callie, wait." Marie quietly called out as she saw Callie go upstairs.

It was no secret between the two of them that they loved Naruto deeply. All those times when he helped them, when he protected them from danger, when he had fun with them. All those times were treasured by the squid sisters and when they matured, that happiness turned to love and affection. Both Callie and Marie wanted to be with Naruto but they both had different ways of going about it.

Marie stealthy followed Callie upstairs while Callie herself slightly opened the door, giving her full view of the shower. Marie came up next to Callie and grabbed her, while trying to ignore the fact that Naruto was naked in the shower.

"Callie, don't you dare. We need to cook breakfast!" Marie whispered to Callie, pleading with her.

"Marie, if you were here a few moments ago, you would have seen what I had seen." Callie whispered back, even though her eyes were still staring at where Naruto's silhouette in the shower was at "I got a good look of him naked while his back was turned and he was turning the shower to the hot temperature."

Marie felt a spike of jealousy in her at the fact that Callie got to get an eyeful of what Naruto looked like naked while she didn't. Marie promptly squished that feeling before it could affect her "It doesn't matter, we need to go make breakfast."

"Marie, you go make breakfast. I will keep Foxy company~" Callie said with a seductive tone at the last sentence as she got up.

"Callie, no!" Marie grabbed Callie before she could walk into the bathroom and pulled her away from the door.

This had consequences as Callie wasn't expecting to be grabbed and pulled and that caused the two to collide and fall to the floor. Marie gave a quiet groan as she shook away the haziness. When she opened her eyes, she almost let out a big gasp at their current predicament.

Both were in a compromised position, Callie was on top of Marie. Callie's breasts were pressing and squishing Marie's own. Marie's right leg somehow was between Callie's legs and when Marie moved it up so she could push herself back, her thigh was pressed where Callie's panties were at. Callie and Marie's faces were near each other, like they were about to kiss.

Callie was quietly groaning in pain when she opened her eyes and saw the compromised position they were in. While both her and Marie were blushing, Callie gave a coy smile.

"Ara ara~" Callie said quietly in a flirty and seductive tone "Marie, you never told me you were this straight forward~"

This made Marie blush even more, her face turning almost red. She began to sputter and make disbelief noises before she pushed Callie off and ran downstairs in a hot, sweating mess. This made Callie try to keep her laughter down from Marie's reaction. Once she calmed down and stopped laughing, she looked towards the shower and saw Naruto was almost done.

Callie gave a seductive smile 'Maybe next time.' Callie thought to herself as she went downstairs, spotting Marie working on breakfast but could tell that she was a bit hot and bothered by what happened. Callie nearly laughed again to herself, she didn't think Marie was that easy to tease.

Back with Naruto, he normally took ten minutes to shower. The idea of hanging out with the squid sisters was an appealing one but he didn't know where to take them. Callie and Marie were like polar opposites in many ways; Callie loved the outdoors while Marie preferred indoors, Callie was easily excitable while Marie was laid-back, etc. So finding something that both enjoyed together was a hard thing to do.

After drying himself off and wrapping a towel around his waist, he sticks his head out and looks around and sees no one outside the room. Seeing the coast is clear, he opens the door up and walks back to his room. Once in there, he closes his door and begins getting changed for the day.

Present Time, Unknown Location…

At a desk, the octopus octarian awaited silently. He could hear approaching footsteps from outside his office door. Then, the footsteps came to a stop and a knock on his door was heard moments later.

"Enter." The octopus told the knocker.

The door opens, revealing a female octoling. She had purple thick "hair" tentacles; two were curled at the right side of her head, a shorter but thicker tentacle above her left eye and curled to her ear and behind that one was a tentacle curled around behind her left ear. She had four waist-length tentacles going behind her back. She wore a pair of large metal goggles that covered both of her eyes, a metal, crop top that is held up by two brown shoulder straps and has a sleeveless black shirt underneath with a thin purple stripe down each side, a thick brown belt worn loosely around the waist, and a pair of very dark brown leather boots with black laces and comes up to her knees.

"You wanted to see me, boss?" The octoling asked.

"Indeed I do, Captain Debbie." The octopus said "Have the combat engineers implemented the defenses in Area 2?"

"Affirmative, sir." Debbie stated with a nod "They have put in gushers, sponges, propellers, and spreaders. I have placed a garrison of Octolings and have authorized an Octostriker as the last line of defense before the Great Octoweapon; The Octonozzle."

"Excellent, how skilled are the octolings based in the garrison?" The octarian boss asked the captain.

"They are greatly skilled, though if they are that good at holding back the enemy remains to be seen."

The octopus hummed as he pulled up his computer and began to look at the defenses of Area 2. After a bit of analyzing, he turned his gaze back to the octoling captain "Get into contact with Lieutenant Fiona and have her relocated there."

The captain went rigid, "My lord, is it really necessary to send Her there? I'm positive that a team of trained Octoling soldiers can handle two enemy agents."

"I disagree." The octopus disagrees as he pulls up a file of the orange inkling/octoling hybrid "This 'Agent Nine' is obviously the superior fighter between them. Agent Three had trouble fighting The Octostomp, whereas Agent Nine had little difficulty."

"You think…" Debbie trailed as she looked at the hybrid while having a bit of a blush on her cheeks "Agent Nine will defeat the garrison?"

"Yes." The octopus nods "He is obviously very well trained, no doubt taught how to fight at a young age. He is also notably faster than Agent Three, that's why I believe Lt. Fiona should handle him."

"This may be an actual challenge for her." Captain Debbie stated before nodding "Very well, I'll inform her of her new assignment."

"Oh, and before I forget." The octopus says as he turns toward her "Tell her to ensure not to kill Agent Nine. He's an interest I wish to investigate. I care not what happens to Agent Three, kill her if she wants."

Captain Debbie nods and salutes "Understood, my lord." She leaves the room.

"About time you came down."

Naruto walked down the stairs and looked at Callie as she greeted him with a wave and smile. Callie was sitting at the dining table. Naruto noted sounds of movement and the smell of waffles coming from the kitchen.

"Sorry if I had to make you wait." Naruto said as he took a seat "I was thinking about some stuff."

"Like what?" Callie asked.

"Oh, you know; worrying about this new octarian menace, what dangers I'll possibly be coming across, the like." Naruto dismissed it with a shrug. He had, indeed, worried about those things but what he neglected to inform was how he was also thinking of grouping up and talking with Callie and Marie after being gone for some months.

"Ah, yes. That's to be expected." Callie replied with a smile while simultaneously thinking 'Though I doubt that was what you were thinking as you entered the shower.' Callie blushed a little as she remembered what she saw in the bathroom.

Just as Naruto was about to continue, they heard Marie enter the room with a tray of food "Alright, breakfast is ready!"

Naruto smiled as he saw the waffles and sausage on a plate given to him and another given to Callie. Marie would rush back into the kitchen, the sound of opening his freezer was heard as soon after that, the closing of it. Then, Marie comes back out with ice cream in hand, which made Naruto silently chuckle to himself.

He began to cut up his waffles and begin eating breakfast. He's going to need to be ready for today.

'I wonder if we'll be getting lunch breaks?'

Later in Octo Valley…

Naruto was waiting at the area gate that led into Area 2, he was dressed in his Agent 9 gear and was waiting for his companion to show up.

After Naruto had eaten breakfast, the Squid Sisters had gotten to leave for work soon after so Naruto decided to pack a lunch and head out to Octo Valley. When he arrived, Cap'n Cuttlefish was in his cabin, resting on the couch. So he put his lunch in the fridge and geared up. Some of his gear was upgraded, no doubt done by the Cap'n. Now, he was waiting for his partner to arrive.

Naruto honestly didn't know how long he was waiting for. He had sat down and was using a small amount of ink from his Hero Shot and was drawing pictures with his fingers.

"Hey there!" Naruto almost shot up into the sky when the voice of Ripley shouted right next to him. He was so focused on painting that he didn't even notice her coming "Nice painting, how long were you waiting?"

"A while now." Naruto said, though he didn't know how long.

On the ground were a couple of paint drawings in orange ink. There was a squid and octopus side by side though the octopus was upside down, there was a swirl marking, there was the hidden leaf symbol, and a few non-important paintings.

Naruto got up "Ready to head out to Area 2?"

Ripley nodded as they approached the inkrail and used it to head up to Area 2. When they arrived, they took in the scenery of the new area. It definitely looked like a skate park, with a curved landscape with multiple raised locations.

"This reminds me of Blackbelly Skatepark." Ripley says with Naruto nodding.

"So, how do we find the first kettle?" Ripley asked as she looked at the area they were in.

Naruto shrugged "How should I know? Look at the kettles, maybe they are numbered or something?"

Naruto and Ripley began to look around the kettles, finding them one by one. They eventually found out the difference with their communicator, which showed the ID and number of the kettles. So they gathered at the kettle located at the far right corner of Area 2, on top of the platform.

Upon appearing in the first kettle area, they immediately noticed a circular platform with a knob had many red dots of light on it and a red wheel on the top on top of a stationary, circular, silver grate. Patrolling around it was an octopod.

"What's that?" Agent 3 asked before she shot at the patrolling octopod that somehow didn't notice them spawning. Some of her ink landed and hit the knob and suddenly, a geyser of yellow ink erupted from the grate.

"Looks like some sort of geyser." Agent 9 commented as he examined the said ink geyser "An ink geyser."

"Geyser sounds lame." Agent 3 shook her head as the gusher stops "Let's call them Gushers, since they need to be hit in order to go off, unlike normal geysers."

"Sure, gushers it is." Agent 9 agreed as he readied himself "Let's get a move on."

Agent 3 fires again at the gusher, turning it on. Agent 9 follows through as the two move on.

Minutes later…

"Is that a…"

"Mini-stomp!" Agent 3 cried out at the adorably small boxy creature.

They would be adorable, considering that they faced a much larger version of them just yesterday. Agents 3 and 9 had just finished off an "ambushing" and flew over and noticed one just as they landed on an elevated platform.

"What would we call these creatures?" Agent 9 asked "Can't call them Octostomp, that name is already taken."

"What about Octostamp?" Agent 3 recommended "just change the o of stomp to a into stamp. So there really isn't much of a name difference between the giant Octostomp and his miniature clones Octostamps."

"I can see that working." Agent 9 nodded before the two began to move forward.

A bit later…

"Is that Judd?" Agent 3 asked as she looked at the sunken scroll they had gotten out of the first kettle of Area 2.

"Maybe?" Agent 9 questioned, not sure himself "Maybe some sort of ancestor or it could be him, but how is he still alive if that were true?"

"Probably one of life's greatest mysteries." Agent 3 shrugged as she put away the sunken scroll. "Onward to the next kettle!"

A minute or two later…

"Sponges?" Agent 3 asked.

"I'm sensing a theme here." Agent 9 stated "First are the gushers, then there are sponges, something tells me we're going to see more new things in the next zone."

"It feels like they're teaching us how they parkour, sort of." Agent 3 commented before asking "Do they do this kind of thing in their military training?"

"How should I know? I've never been to an Octarian society before." Agent 9 replied before having a thoughtful look "Huh… I wonder what it would be like?"

Agent 9 shook off the thought after a few moments before the two began to move.

A bit later…

"So what did we learn from the last kettle zone?" Agent 9 asked his fellow agent with a raised eyebrow.

"Do not fight Octarians on sponges if I can avoid it." Agent 3 answered with a sad aura.

"Seriously, you were incredibly reckless!" Agent 9 scolded Three "When you found out just after we left the spawn point that they shrink when hit with the Octarian's ink, you decided to make things more interesting by being on the sponges while fighting them."

"At least we got the scroll." Agent 3 spoke, hoping to change the subject.

Agent 9 groaned before ultimately stopping. He could only hope Agent 3 learned not to play around on the mission. As for the sunken scroll, it was simply about inkling biology. Useless for Naruto himself, as he was both inkling and octoling so he may or may not having similar genetics of the two species.

A bit later…

"Gushers, sponges, now electric fans." Agent 9 commented as he looked at the small platform with a fan on it.

"It's more like a propeller if the platform is any indication." Agent 3 corrected.

"Tomayto, tomahto. What's next, invisible platforms?" Agent 9 sarcastically replied.

"You know, that would be both awesome and confusing." Agent 3 replied "Like, how can one turn a platform invisible? Would they use some sort of light bending technology to create the invisibility or something else?"

"Let's just move on." Agent 9 said as he got on the platform. Agent 3 just shrugs and joins him.

After the dome…

"Huh…" Agent 3 said as both her and Nine looked at the latest sunken scroll they acquired in the dome.

"The Department of Energy has announced that further declines in the availability of electric power are likely to occur in the near future. With the underground domes also deteriorating rapidly, the future does not look bright."

Written down on the newspaper clippings showing what can be assumed to be a member of the Octarian Department of Energy on the scroll.

"You know, if this problem is what the Octarians are facing, I really don't blame them for capturing Zapfishes." Agent 9 stated "Doing it all for survival makes you really want to sympathize with them."

"I won't bother arguing that, but I will argue that stealing the Great Zapfish wasn't necessary at all towards solving this problem." Agent 3 replied "Also, they could have negotiated with the inklings sooner to prevent this from happening."

"Perhaps, or perhaps they couldn't because of some rule or part of the agreement made after the Great War." Agent 9 said "Or perhaps it is something we don't know about."

"Who knows?" Agent 3 shrugged "We need to keep going."

"Right." Agent 9 said as the two of them began to move to the next kettle to the next dome.

Meanwhile…

"Captain Debbie, we've just got notified that dome six's zapfish has been taken!" An octoling soldier reports as she runs up to the elite Octoling captain with a salute.

"That means that the only thing standing between us and them is dome seven." Debbie said before looking at the Octoling "Gather the troops and get into your ambushing positions, we prepare for the arrival of those Inklings."

"Ma'am!" The octoling saluted before turning around and running away to tell the others.

Debbie gave a sigh as she looked at the octoling spawner "Damnit, where the carp is she?"

As if responding to the octoling captain, she sees a splash of ink hit the spawn and an octoling rising from a crouched position.

She has pink tentacle "hair" (the hairstyle is the Octoling Girl's "Tentacurl" style) with white underneath her tentacles and ring-like spots at the ends of her tentacles. Her ears are also notably much larger than that of normal octolings', which are flat. Her left ear is flat, and her right ear has a ridge. She wore the same octoling armor as all octoling soldiers, but the notable thing about her armor is that the breast plate was noticeably larger to accommodate the Octoling's E-cup sized breasts. She had her goggles on, making it impossible to know what her eye color was and she had long strands of seaweed attached to her head.

Debbie scowled "You're late, Lieutenant."

"Captain, I came here as quickly as I could." The octoling replied "I was stationed in Sector Five, Dome Twenty-Six with the other members of the elite guard. Coming in around half a day speaks to how fast I went to get here."

"You're lucky that the enemy hasn't hit us yet." Debbie told her "They should be in the midst of dome seven right now."

"Good, which means I have a bit of prep time." The elite octoling replied as she began to move to the spawn point.

"You aren't going to help us at the front?" Debbie asked her.

"No, I'll be going to dome nine and prepare for my battle with the squid agents." The Lieutenant replied "I'll be the last line of defense when they make it there."

"What do you mean by "when"?" Debbie asked before her eyes widened and she scowled deeper "You mean to tell me that you don't have any faith that our octoling soldiers can halt their advance, Lt. Fiona."

"Nope." Fiona replied with a pop at the end "Compared to me and my team, your squad here is a bunch of rookies."

Debbie was about to retort when Fiona super jumped away. Debbie growled and began to curse, angry at what Fiona said about her soldiers. They may not be the best, but surely they would be enough to defeat the inklings, right?

Back with the Agents…

"Huh, they explain how those arenas are also ready so fast after being used, not even ten minutes after being used." Agent 9 said as he and Agent 3 looked at the newest sunken scroll.

"The ink sprayed during a Turf War vanishes almost immediately after the battle ends. How environmentally friendly! (And incredibly convenient!)"

"I wonder if they still have to clean your messes there or if that is covered by the ink?" Agent 9 added while looking at the blushing Agent 3 at the mentioned messes.

"S-shut up!" Agent 3 said before turning away "Let's just go to the next dome!"

Agent 9 chuckled before walking away to the next dome. Its kettle was located on the highest tower on the north-western corner of the area.

Inside the dome…

Agent 3 and Agent 9 arrived on the spawner of the new area. They immediately noticed the difference between past domes and this one.

"This looks like an arena." Agent 3 commented as she looked out to see it.

"Yeah, which means that this is no ordinary dome." Agent 9 replied with a serious expression.

"Look over there!" Agent 3 stated, which caused Agent 9 to follow her direction of sight.

Standing at the center of the arena stood what looked to be an octarian version of an inkling. Unlike Inklings, they have thicker and curlier hair, with four tentacles instead of six, have their suckers above their hair than underneath, beige undersides of their hair, small round ears, pointed fingers, and no spots at the ends of their hair. They wore a pair of large metal goggles, which made it impossible to know what their eye color was, a metal, crop top-like garment that was being held up by two brown shoulder straps. They had a thick brown belt worn loosely around the waist with black shorts and wore very dark brown leather boots that came up to the wearer's knees, black laces, and thick soles, which are a slightly lighter brown than the rest of the boot. They carried a weapon similar to the Splattershot but different; main parts of the gun are a black body with two handholds and a trigger, and an ink tank that changes color to match the user's ink. The ink tank is connected to the body via a metal tube at the back and a black strip wrapping around the top of the tank. On the end of the body is a gray nozzle. The octarian version of the inkling looked female, if the curves were an indication, but everyone knows about what happens when you assume.

"Attention inklings!" The octoling shouted aloud to them, their voice sounding female "You are being given a single warning; turn back now or you will be eliminated here and now!"

"Cocky, aren't they?" Agent 3 asked "Not even a full minute in this dome, and already they think they can win."

"It's safe to assume that these are the Octolings that Gramps told me about." Agent 9 told his fellow agent "Said they were a small, but dangerous group in the Octarian army. Probably their elite soldiers or special forces of the Octarian Army."

"I wonder if they will be as good or either better or worse than inkling girls." Agent 3 commented with a bit of a blush on her face.

"Of course you would be thinking that now." Agent 9 deadpanned at Agent 3 before looking at the Octoling "We appreciate the warning, but I do have a proposal! If you return the Great Zapfish back to us, we will be willing to cease all aggression against you and even return all the zapfish we've acquired thus far back to you!"

"You seriously can't be expecting that to work." Agent 3 said to Agent 9 "I doubt they would hand back the Great Zapfish."

"I know they won't, but I'm showing that we're willing to negotiate." Agent 9 replied.

"It may make them think we're scared or weak." Agent 3 argued back.

"Which will lead them to underestimating us and that will be their downfall." Agent 9 smoothly answered.

After a few minutes of waiting for a reply, they got none in return.

"...I think that is a 'no'." Agent 3 broke the silence with a sweatdrop "Kinda rude in my opinion."

"Ugh, we've wasted enough time." Agent 9 said as he readied himself "Let's go!"

The two agents charged off the spawn point and went down to the ground.

At the Final Checkpoint…

"What's taking them so long to attack?" Debbie asked as she heard the report from the front that the entrance spawner was activated and the inkling agents had appeared. A warning was given to the inklings to see how they would respond.

There was an apparent reply from them about the warning, a proposal from what she heard. But then she heard laughter and apparently, if the Octarians handed back the Great Zapfish, they would hand back all the zapfishes they took from the domes and leave them alone in peace with no more conflict. Debbie actually laughed rather hard at that, not believing that for a second. They must be weak from all the fighting they had to do so far so they were probably hoping to get a peaceful solution. Stupid, in Debbie's opinion.

"Probably giving us a chance to talk with our lord." Fiona commented on the radio.

Debbie scoffed "Like we would negotiate with inkling scum. Personally, we should've done more than just ste-"

Debbie was interrupted by an influx of chatter from the octoling soldiers.

"Apparently, they are done waiting." Fiona commented as she heard the octoling soldiers fighting and being splatted "And apparently, they aren't as "weak and stupid" as you think they were. That or your troops are just that bad."

Debbie growled as she got up "Beginners' luck, I'll stop them."

"Sure, and get splatted while you're at it." Fiona commented as she continued to listen in on the radio channel.

"Oh, fuck you Fiona." Debbie said as she turned off her radio.

In dome nine, Fiona was sitting on the UFO with two octoling soldiers with her. Her preparations were complete and she was ready to fight against the two inkling agents. "Naw, bitches aren't my type." Fiona replied, even though she knew that Debbie wouldn't answer back.

At the Final Checkpoint…

An octoling soldier tries to run before being splat by Agent 3 from the high ground. Agent 9 looked as a female octoling walked off the top of a platform that had the zapfish on it and looked at the two inklings.

"This is as far as you go!" The octoling says to them "I am Captain Debbie, leader of this octoling squad, and you will be stopped here and now! I refuse to allow such scum to ruin the plans of our great and mighty lead-"

*Splat!*

"Really?" Agent Nine looked at Agent Three, who had her Hero Shot up and aimed where the octoling captain once was before being splat by Agent Three.

"What?" Agent Three looked at Agent Nine while simultaneously lowering her rifle "She was annoying and sounded like an egotistical bitch. You know I can't stand bitches, especially those full of themselves and so arrogant in thinking they were unbeatable."

"I'm not unhappy about you interrupting her, she so deserved it, I'm just unhappy that you splatted her before we could learn the name of the Octarian leader."

"She could have just said 'leader' with no name at the end." Agent Three justified "Even if she wasn't going to, it wouldn't have mattered in the end."

"At least we would have had a name of the leader, you never know if Cap could have known this person." Agent Nine countered "He is around a thousand years old, having been around before and during the Great Turf War, maybe he would have recognized it."

"I doubt anyone of that age aside from Cap is still around, and even if they are, there are probably some old octarian like how Cap is an old squid."

Elsewhere, a certain DJ octopus sneezed while muttering "Someone is talking shit about me again. When I find out who, I'm going to dubstomp on their fucking face."

Back with the two agents, they used an ink rail to get to the zapfish. As they saved it, Agent Three shivered as she felt a chill of something foreboding.

Later…

Agents Three and Nine come out of the spawn point. They saw a park-looking area but noticed a floating saucer to the top left of their eyesight.

"Oh, so they are now suddenly aliens." Agent Three sarcastically commented.

"I highly doubt the saucer is there to add to the scenery. It must have a purpose." Agent Nine stated.

"Oh, would you look at that, one of you is smart." They heard a female voice over their comms.

"Who is this!?" Agent Nine demanded on his comm.

"Name's Lientant Fiona, an elite Octoling agent serving directly under our lord and master, the Octo King himself!" The female voice identifying as Fiona informed the two "I have been tasked by the Octo King himself to stop you here and now!"

"Ooh, looks like we've attracted the attention of the higher ups." Agent Three grins "I wonder what is different between normal Octolings and elite Octolings."

"We're about to find out, aren't we?" Agent Nine spoke as he and Agent Three moved forward.

At the saucer, Fiona has binoculars and sees the two enemy agents move forward. She grinned as she put them down.

"This is going to be fun." Fiona said before looking at the center of the Saucer top, which was where the Octostriker was resting in a pool of ink in the UFO "Octostriker, wake up!" At the sound of her shouting, the Octostriker immediately gets up and looks at Fiona, who was pointing where the Squidbeak Splatoon agents were at "We've got two hostiles that just left their spawn point, take aim and fire your inkstrikes at them immediately!"

Back with the two agents, they were inking a path when Agent Nine notices a purple ink missile firing from the UFO.

"Incoming Inkstrike attack!" Agent Nine shouted and the two moved away where they were and turned just in time to see the Inkstrike land where they once were and a large tornado of purple ink erupted at where the missile landed.

"So we now know they have artillery to bombard us with." Agent Three commented as she and Agent Nine began to move forward "We've got to keep moving and keep that Inkstrike from hitting us!"

As the two agents moved forward, they noticed no resistance outside of a pair of Squee-Gs that weren't really an inconvenience for the pair of agents. They submerged into their friendly ink and moved quietly, hoping to move forward while avoiding more Inkstrikes.

They managed to hit Checkpoint 2 when they realized that they were going have to move forward without cover as the next checkpoint was through an open skateboarding area that had no large ink cover. As the two agents went through the skateboarding area, they quickly found out that Octarians were hiding in ambush for them in their ink. These were quickly named Octodivers due to the fact that they looked like Octotroopers and Twintacle Octotroopers but were wearing a snorkel which probably explains why they could hide in the Octarian ink like an Octoling.

They made it to Checkpoint 4 and fired through the grated wall in case there were enemies waiting and sure enough, there were more Octodivers. They go through the grated wall, they see a crashed UFO site underneath the presently flying UFO. The crashed UFO site was covered in Octarian ink, which all but said that Octodivers were hiding in there. They took their Splat Bombs and threw them into the UFO crash site to clear an small pool for them and jumped into them. As they landed, they heard something land where they once were and looked.

Where they once were, they see an Octoling with pink tentacle "hair" (the hairstyle is the Octoling Girl's "Tentacurl" style) with white underneath her tentacles and ring-like spots at the ends of her tentacles. Her ears are also notably much larger than that of enemy octolings', which are flat. Her left ear is flat, and her right ear has a ridge. She wore the same octoling armor as all octoling soldiers, but the notable thing about her armor is that the breast plate was noticeably larger to accommodate the Octoling's E-cup sized breasts. She had her goggles on but what made her different from normal Octoling was that she had long strands of seaweed attached to her head.

With this octoling was two other Octolings, both looked different from the Octolings from the last dome. Where the previous Octolings had red hair, they had darker hair and two long strands of seaweed attached to their heads.

'So these must be the difference between the common Octoling and the elite Octoling.' Agent Nine thought to himself as both he and Agent Three looked at the trio of Octolings.

'Oh wow, she's hot.' Agent Three blushed a little at the sight of the leading Octoling.

"This is as far as you will get!" The leading Octoling said as readied her Octoshot "I am Lientant Fiona, the last name you will ever hear. And unlike that captain bitch, I can back up my bite and more."

Fiona moved her right hand to the side and snapped her fingers. As she did, Octodivers emerged from the Octarian ink and fired at the two agents. Agents Nine and Three dodged, firing their Hero Shots at the enemy. As they did, the three Octolings jumped down and came down to the two agents, the two Octolings moving to attack Agent Nine while Fiona confronted Agent Three.

Agent Nine takes down a few of the Octodivers just as he saw incoming fire from two Octolings. He rolls to the side to avoid the incoming fire and fire back. The octolings took a bit of fire but rolled back to recover. Then, one of them began to move to the right while the other threw a splat bomb at Agent Nine, who began to back up and fire an ink trail. The splat bomb explodes but Agent Nine was well out of range of it, but dived into the ink to avoid incoming fire from the flanking elite octoling.

"Where did he go?" The octoling that threw the splat bomb, that Nine was going to call Octoling 1, asked.

"Doesn't matter, ink the entire floor, he can't hide forever!" Octoling 2 said as she kept firing at all of the orange ink.

Then, Agent Nine jumps out and turns into his humanoid form to the right of Octoling 2 while aiming his Hero Shot. Octoling 2 tried to turn her Octoshot towards Agent Nine but was too late as she was hit and quickly splat by Agent Nine.

"Vela, no!" Octoling 1 shouted before she began to charge towards him "You bastard!"

Agent Nine turns towards the approaching elite octoling and throws a splat bomb before diving into the ink. Octoling 1 dodges by rolling to the side before retreating backwards. She couldn't be too aggressive, otherwise she'll end up like Vela (Octoling 2). She began to throw splat bombs at the orange ink, hoping to unveil the hiding hybrid. But when the bombs went off, there was no sign of the agent.

'Where did he go?' Octoling 1 thought to herself before she dived into the purple ink. If he wasn't going to surface, then she'll have to refill her ink tank and wait him out.

Meanwhile with Agent Three, she was dodging a few shots from Fiona. Agent Three replied by sending a few shots of her own. The two were basically running circles around each other, exchanging shots and bombs. Sometimes, the two would even exchange hits in hopes of defeating the other but that only ended up destroying a bit of their own gear. They sometimes even got close, almost melee range in hopes of scoring more hits than the other. It was like a combination of fighting and dancing, seeing who was the superior opponent.

Fiona got in close again while dodging and fired off a couple of shots. But Agent Three tanked the shots, hissing as she fought through the pain and grabbed the within melee range elite octoling, causing said octoling to cry out in surprise as she was pulled and flipped down over Agent Three's shoulder and hitting the orange ink, causing Fiona to cry out and hiss in pain. Her goggles slipped off a little and revealed her orange inkling-like pupils.

"So you're fighting dirty now, huh?" Fiona asked as she saw Agent Three aimed at her laying down form "Well, two can play that game!"

Fiona knocks Agent Three's Hero Shot to the side and grabs her wrist, pulling the inkling down to her so they can begin fist fighting. Agent Three doesn't seem to mind this, as she is grabbing Fiona's fists and does her best to keep Fiona down below her. Fiona tries to push her off with her legs but Agent Three was pinning her down.

Back with Agent Nine and Octoling 2, the two were still battling it out. They were shooting where one was once at or, in Agent Nine's case, creating trails of ink to have solid ground so he couldn't be taken out. Octoling 2 kept her distance and was being patient, but she has had a couple of close calls. Agent Nine was getting tired of this hide and seek game so he decided to push towards her and force her on the retreat. This worked as Octoling 2 began to withdraw to Checkpoint 5 and jumped over a box and ink a way up. As Agent Nine hit the checkpoint, he moved back as an inkstrike hit where the checkpoint was at.

Once the inkstrike was done, he inked up a way and began to destroy the boxes, all the while dodging the rain of ink from the high ground. He began to make his way up, which caused Octoling 2 to back up and run to even higher ground. Agent Nine comes out at the top of the wall and splats the patrolling Twintacle Octotrooper before dodging a shower of purple ink from Octoling 2 and fires at the balloon fish, which causes it to burst. It not only inked the wall and the ground floor that Agent Nine was on, but it also splatted both Octoling 2 and the Twintacle Octotrooper with her up on the higher ground. He goes up and sees a launchpad that would allow him to reach up to the UFO.

Back with Agent Three, she managed to finally successfully pin down Fiona. Both of them were letting out hot pants due to how hard they were struggling and how out of breath they were. But for Agent Three, this was also turning her on with how she was dominating the hot and sexy octoling that was Fiona. Didn't help either that she was using her entire weight to keep her down and their breasts were pressed against one another.

Fiona wasn't much better, either. She pushed, pulled, struggled against this inkling yet she did not falter or fall, determined to pin her into submission. Fiona has fought her fair share of octolings and she loved to win and dominate them. But there have been a few times when she has been pushed back or defeated, but those instances were few and far in between. So to have this inkling woman push and pin her down, Fiona cannot lie when she says that she wasn't being turned on by this turn of events either.

Neither were paying any attention or heed as both Octoling 2 and Agent Nine ran to Checkpoint 5, though Agent Nine did turn his gaze over to them briefly before sighing out in exasperation and rolled his eyes at the sight like he wasn't surprised at these turn of events, being quite used to Agent Three's shenanigans.

"*Pant pant* Give up yet?" Agent Three asked, still panting and catching her breath.

"*Pant pant* Never." Fiona replied, still catching her own breath though has stopped struggling as she was feeling tired.

"Just *pant* submit defeat." Agent Three says to her.

"Again, *pant* never." Fiona replied as both stared at each other in the eyes.

For a moment, nobody knew what would happen as the two stared each other down, a metaphoric lightning sparking between their eyes. Both refused to submit to one another and lose, but both were tired of struggling for a while. Though Fiona knew that she was at the mercy of this inkling as she was not only in the orange ink, which was stinging her quite a bit, but she had no real way of escaping.

Back with the other agent, Agent Nine launches up to the UFO and sticks the landing. He sees an octarian resembling an Octobomber, only bigger with a darker color and a different helmet that comes with a visor. It sees Agent Nine and manages to lift itself out of the pool of ink. It backs away to the back of the flying saucer while Agent Nine sees three Octocopters spawn in to defend the octarian.

Agent Nine fired a line of ink to the left and moved, taking out an Octocopter while he was passing through. He paused in his advanced though as the large octarian fired out a missile of ink from his helmet and the inkstrike landed in front of him. Once it finished, he fired another line of ink to the large octarian. He managed to make a few hits on the Octostriker (as Agent Nine began to call him due to this octarian being the source of the inkstrikes) before it began flying backwards and away from the pursuing hybrid.

Agent Nine continues to give chase, getting another shot at the Octostrike before taking out another Octocopter in the chase. On the third turn, Agent Nine outright ignored the Octocopter in favor of chasing and getting the mostly inked up Octostrike. Finally, after another couple of seconds of chasing, it managed to splat the Octostrike. It 'pops' like a balloon fish, covering Agent Nine's vision for a moment. When his vision cleared, the purple pool of ink in the middle of the UFO was gone and the entire center of it was covered in a layer of orange ink with the zap fish in the center, its capsule plugged right into the flying saucer. Agent Nine threw a splat bomb at the capsule, freeing the zapfish and jumped down to it and grabbed it.

Back with Agent Three and Fiona, the struggles were renewed when Fiona was alerted that the final Checkpoint went off.

"Just… give up!" Agent Three shouted as she held the struggling Fiona "I got you pinned."

Fiona stopped struggling and Agent Three thought that she finally gave up, only to witness Fiona turn into her octopus form. Agent Three immediately flinched as she knew that turning her squid form in enemy ink was painful, like trying to swim in diluted water. Sure enough, the sound of agony was heard but that immediately ceased as Fiona used the flinched state of Agent Three to transform back and kneed Agent Three down and away from her. Fiona dashed back to purple ink and grabbed her Octoshot. Agent Three managed to grab her own Hero Shot and both took aim at each other. Fiona held the advantage as she was standing while Agent Three was crouching.

Just as Fiona was about to pull the trigger, she got an alert that the Octostriker had been taken down. Fiona gritted her teeth before lowering her Octoshot.

"You won this time, but next time; you won't be so lucky." Fiona said to Agent Three.

"Looking forward to it." Agent Three replied with a grin.

Purple ink surrounded Fiona as she shook her head and when the ink bursted, she was nowhere to be seen.

Agent Three got up and did a quick look around before sighing "Fuck, I really should have just made out with her on the spot. Now I'm both frustrated and horny."

A bit later…

"Let's make this quick." Agent Three said with annoyance in her tone as she and Agent Nine looked at the arena in front of them. It is a mostly grassy arena with some small walls for cover. They can see that in the middle of the arena was a can-shaped machine covered in seaweed. Starfish and barnacles can be seen on this seaweed.

"Yeah, if this doesn't scream 'trap' then I don't know what does." Agent Nine commented at the arena before looking at Agent Three "What's wrong, that girl wasn't as good as she was hot?"

"Oh no, she was just as good." Agent Three replied as she got ready to launch.

"Oh, I see. You and her didn't have 'fun' while I was busy dealing with the Octostriker and rescuing the zapfish." Agent Nine teased.

"Shut. Up." Agent Three replied, grumpy and not in the mood.

She jumps down to the arena and Agent Nine quickly follows her. As with the Octostomp, a capsule with a zapfish inside her was lowered and a tentacle within the can-shaped machine grabbed it from the ink pool at the top of it and pulled it in. Purple electricity sparked around the machine for a moment before it began to subtly shake while turning around, revealing it has two black eyes, a pipe, and a pair of robotic feet that are similar to Octopod feet. The eyes began to glow a golden color that resembled real octopus eyes. It lets out some sort of noise, like a humming and buzzing incomprehensible voice or hum. Suddenly, it lifted up, revealing its "waist" and showing it has a hole at the front of it. It gives a more noticeable shake and then a suction cup pops out. Then it unleashes its battle roar.

"...This is going to be even easier than Octostomp, isn't it?" Agent Nine rhetorically asked.

"Yup." Agent Three replied as she moved into attack range.

(AN: I'm just going to skip this because it really is an easy boss to beat. At least Octostomp could be a big problem if you're not careful.)

"Honestly, what a let down." Agent Three complains as she and Agent Nine exited out of the boss kettle "That 'Great Octo Weapon' should have been Area 1's boss, the fight was simply dodge and shoot and that's all."

"Well, we took it down rather easily and quickly." Agent Nine replied "Perhaps it had some special attacks that it couldn't really show at the end since it was defeated so quickly?"

"Doesn't matter, now I'm both frustrated and disappointed." Agent Three stated as she shook her head.

"...Gg…gghh…" A sound of grumbling and scritch and scratch was heard on the radio, causing the two agents to pause.

"Hmm…?" An acknowledged hum of Cap'n Cuttlefish was heard on the radio.

"Ggghhhh…" Another sound of grumbling and scritch-scratch static was heard on the radio.

"Is it broken?" Agent Three asked, though that was thrown out the window when they heard;

"Cut…tle…fish…" A grumbling voice spoke from the static of the radio.

"...I fear the radio transmitters may be malfunctioning somewhat." Cuttlefish's voice spoke through the static "At any rate, excellent work, agents! Return to base to rest and relax for the rest of the day, I need to do a checkup on the radio transmitters to see what is malfunctioning."

"Understood, Cap'n." Agent Nine said as he and Agent Three super jumped back to base.

Meanwhile…

"You failed to stop them from killing the Octostriker and destroying Octonozzle." The Octo King said to Fiona, who was kneeling down.

"I apologize sir, I thought that agents Vela and Tila could handle Agent Nine." Fiona told the Octo King "I didn't expect them to be beaten quite easily and me to be so distracted and defeated by Agent Three."

"Enough, you are not at fault." The Octo King replied as he leaned back in his throne "I trusted that Captain Debbie could handle the situation and she failed miserably because of her arrogance and pride. You were assigned to stop them from reaching the Octostriker along with two other elite Octolings. The fact that these two agents can handle some of our elite octolings, including one of our special forces, means that I completely underestimated them."

"I take it that Area 3 will be even more reinforced, sir?" Fiona asked.

"Yes. More troops are required." The Octo King replied as he leans back "Lieutenant Fiona, I want you in dome #15. Same assignment as last one. But this time, I will be giving you an entire squad of elite Octolings. No matter what, I want you to stop them from reaching the flying saucer."

"Understood sir." Fiona nodded before being dismissed.

Once Fiona left, the Octo King activated his radio transmitter "General Andrina."

"Yes, milord?" A female voice replied back.

"I need you to have our tech experts locate the radio transmitter signal of Cap'n Cuttlefish." The Octo King ordered.

"Understood, milord. I will have them get right on it. Do you want a team assembled for his capture?" The female voice replied.

"Negative, general. He's mine." The Octo King answered.

"Understood, sir. We'll get back to you when they have found him. General Andrina, over and out."

The Octo King chuckled darkly as he thought to himself 'Soon enough, old friend. We'll meet again. And you will pay for your betrayal against me.' The Octo King's eyes glowed ominously.

'I'll make sure of it.'

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope everyone is having a happy holiday. Sorry it took so long to make this chapter, but I kind of had hit a setback since I wanted to make an epic battle since the Octonozzle was literally the worst boss in Splatoon, in my opinion.

I will admit, my motivation to continue this story is low. I want to work on something else, something that has my present interest that doesn't seem to go away. So I think I'm going to work on that for now and slowly work on these chapters. What that is going to be will be my surprise.

Have a good holiday and a wonderful New Year.
