Chapter Thirty: A Special Homecoming

The next few days passed all too quickly for Frances and her siblings. It was time for her to return to the manor. She hugged Bridgett first.

"I love you, Bridgett." She said, tightening her hold carefully.

"I love you too, Frances. (They pulled away.) We'll see each other next month though." She said with a bright smirk.

Frances smiled a wide smile of amusement, agreement, and excitement as her heart fluttered. She nodded.

"Yes, indeed. (She turned to Irene next and embraced her.) I love you, Irene."

"I love you too, Frances. I cannot wait to see you and Sebastian get married!"

Frances giggled as she pulled away.

"Me neither."

She turned to Marcelo who raced into the embrace.

"I love you, Marcelo."

"I love you too, Frances. I'm glad its Sebastian you're marrying (He tightened his hold.). I know he won't hurt you."

She tightened her hold on him as well, running her hand up and down his back.

"He's a good man who will continue to help me become strong, happy, and safe." She agreed. She pulled away to look into his eyes, "Something I hope you will do in time with someone of your own. You are still young after all." She said, running a hand through his hair.

He smiled, brightly.

"I will."

She smiled.

"Good. (She picked up her suitcase. She looked back at them.) I don't know when he plans to tell you the plans for the wedding, however, do know he is very thorough and will explain in great detail."

Their smiles widened as they nodded.

"Yes, we can see how… disciplined he is when it comes to time." Bridgett said.

Frances laughed when she felt Malphas huff at that. She walked to the door. She turned back to them.

"Be safe. I love you three so much."

"We will be. You be safe as well." Bridgett said.

Frances nodded with a smile.

"You know I always will be. Bye."

"Goodbye." The three of them said together.

Frances quickly made her way out of the apartment and down several blocks to the waiting carriage which took her to the train station. Once at the train station, she began her journey home.

Frances stood at the nose of the ship, watching London quickly approaching. A wide smile graced her lips. Her whole body was tingling, including the ring around her neck. The flames and darkness within her paced back and forth impatiently. Her brown hair was pulled into a half up, half down hairdo with the top half curled into a tight bun. Her light purple dress swirled around her ankles with a dark purple ribbon around her waist. Upon her feet were brown boots that reached her calves. She felt the splash of the sea. It was cold yet she was unaffected by it. Her gaze, searching for him. She could hear his answering warble/purr, his longing for her. As they drew ever closer, her eyes finally found his red ones in the center of the crowd. She barely noticed Ciel standing beside him with his black hooded cloak with the white trim as her heart lurched at the sight of her love. A purr escaped her lips causing her eyes to widen. She could see Malphas' lips curl into a smile as a small laugh escaped him. The flames and darkness stroked her body with their dance, fanning and moving quickly causing her to tremble.

*Malphas.*

*Frances.*

They sent one another at the same time. She didn't move from her spot, watching Sebastian as the ship drew closer to land. Once the boat was docked, did she break the eye contact. As she did, the darkness growled angrily. She closed her eyes as her body trembled.

*Soon.* She told herself, trying to calm the darkness.

She excused herself as she made her way down the ramp. She weaved her way through the busy crowds, feeling the pull. A person walked past her. Once they passed, she saw him. Her heart skipped a beat.

*Frances.*

*Malphas.*

They whispered at the same time. Just like the previous times, she yearned to run to him and kiss all over his face. This time, however, it was much stronger. So much so, that she did start to run towards him. She forced her body to a walk after two steps. The darkness grew and tugged at her again, but she wasn't swayed. She was in control. She always would be. Malphas' warble/purr sounded through her mind. She reached them calmly with a bright smile even though their flames, darkness, and songs danced wildly with one another.

"Good afternoon, Sebastian. (She looked at Ciel.) Ciel."

Ciel gave her a small smile with a nod.

"Good afternoon, Frances. Welcome home."

"Thank you."

He gave her another nod. He turned to Sebastian.

"Sebastian."

"Yes, my lord."

Sebastian took her bag from her, their hands brushing. Jolts raced through the both of them. Their hands tingled the second he drew away with her luggage in his hand.

"Thank you. (The three of them turned and began to make their way to their carriage.) I hope the both of you had a lovely Christmas."

"I did, thank you. Though, inquiries were made regarding your whereabouts. You were missed very much. (A blush formed on his cheeks as he looked away. He cleared his throat, looking forward again.) My family wishes to see you the weekend following the ball."

"Oh?" She asked, feigning surprise for prying ears, "That'll be fun. Are they coming to the manor or are we going to them?"

"They will be coming to the manor. (They arrived at the carriage. He looked at Sebastian.) Sebastian. When we return home, write a letter informing the Midfords we shall be welcoming their company the weekend following the ball."

"Yes, my lord." Sebastian answered, placing her luggage on the back of the carriage.

Frances smiled as she watched the driver come down from his seat and offered a hand to assist her into the carriage.

"Thank you, sir." She said, once she was inside.

"You're welcome, my Lady."

She sat down as the driver assisted Ciel into the carriage. Ciel sat down on the opposite side. The other song that had been playing within her mind when she was with Malphas entered her mind. Unable to help herself, she hummed it quietly. Ciel looked at her as her attention went to the door where Sebastian appeared with a smirk.

"That's a new one." Ciel commented.

Frances looked at him, barely feeling his intrigue. Sebastian closed the door before sitting right next to her, their legs and arms touching sending a surge through both of them. They both shivered. Ciel raised an eyebrow. They both smiled at one another lovingly and with desire.

"Yes, it is." She whispered, agreeing with Ciel's comment.

She started to lean towards him as Ciel signaled the driver. Ciel opened his eye to see Frances leaning towards Sebastian as he leaned towards her with that creepy expression of… happiness on his face. He didn't understand how Frances didn't find it creepy. However, he did not want to see them kissing. He cleared his throat loudly. Frances' eyes opened as her head snapped towards him. Her eyes were that fuchsia color with thin slits like Sebastian's. She emitted a low, dangerous growl. He flinched back, slightly surprised. The growl cut off as her eyes returned to normal, though with wide eyed surprise and… remorse.

"Ci-Ciel… I'm so sorry." She said, shaking slightly.

Sebastian wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her close, holding her right hand in his left and placing their entwined hands on her right leg. Her shaking came to an instant stop. She let out a relieved breath. Her eyes closing then reopening.

"Sebastian. (The butler looked at him.) Explain." He ordered, sternly.

The butler obliged.

"We are a mated pair. When we spend time apart, we wish to show the other just how much we missed one another through… (A smirk crossed his lips as he ran his hand down her back. Frances shuddered and pressed closer to him.) physical touches (A bright blush appeared upon his cheeks causing the blasted demon to chuckle darkly. He noticed Frances' cheeks fill with color as well.). (He looked at Frances with a worried frown.) Because she is a fairly new half demoness, it can be difficult to control. Even for a demon such as myself can struggle with it. And I have."

Ciel's eye widened.

*This demon was… admitting a struggle?*

Well, he had always known Frances was a weakness for him. He looked at Frances with a small smile.

*Or rather, a strength. (He recalled when Frances followed after him during the dinner when they met Prince Soma.) "Loving someone isn't a weakness, it's a strength and a powerful one at that." After all, the love of my family is the reason for my wish.*

He nodded.

"Very well. But, I still do not wish to see you two kissing."

They both giggled and chuckled.

"I'm sorry, Ciel. I'll try to keep a better control the next time I leave for a few weeks."

He nodded.

"Very well. How are your siblings?"

Frances smiled at the topic change. The demoness inside her still urged her to kiss Malphas, but she had a much better control over it now that Malphas was holding her.

"They are doing wonderful, thank you. They miss you."

Ciel's cheeks darkened further. He glanced sideways.

"I miss them as well."

He cleared his throat before turning his gaze to the window. Frances' smile grew wider in amusement. She leaned her head against Sebastian's shoulder. Her other hand tracing his insignia on his hand holding hers. The demon's warble/purr grew within her mind.

They arrived at the manor a while later. Sebastian opened the door and stepped out. He assisted the Young Master then Frances. She looked at the driver.

"Thank you, sir." She said with a smile.

He placed a hand on the rim of his hat as he inclined his head.

"You're welcome, my Lady."

He straightened his head. He snapped the reigns and took off. Frances looked forward to see Ciel was already at the door. Sebastian guided her forward by the small of her back. The two walked forward quickly. Sebastian opened the door for them.

"I shall be in the library."

He took off quickly. The two of them could feel his embarrassment, The second he was out of sight, Frances felt the world rush by. The door clicked close. A lock slid in place. His darkness exuded throughout the room. Frances tilted her head back, realizing she was on his bed, a moan slipped out.

"Malphas." She whimpered.

"Frances." He murmured, sharp teeth agleam.

Her hands reached up to cup his cheeks and drew him closer.

As he filled her, she kissed all over his face like she had wanted to earlier. Their flames, songs, and darkness surrounded them. The three songs infiltrated the air again. One was hers, the other was Malphas', and the last one theirs. She swallowed thickly, her tongue darting out for a moment, licking the corner of his mouth she just kissed as he reached the end of her.

"My Frances." He breathed.

She opened her fuchsia eyes, meeting his matching irises.

"I love you, Malphas." She whispered, passionately.

She pulled him down to meet her lips before he could respond. His clawed hand went through her hair once again. He stroked through part of her hair before his fingers curled behind her head, deepening the kiss. Their songs grew louder as the flames and darkness danced chaotically.

*I love you, my precious Frances.*

She mewled into the kiss. One hand moving to his wings on his back, the other ran up his cheek, over his forehead to the feathers over his left eye, pushing them the wrong way before smoothening them out the correct way. His warble/purr grew louder. He pulled to her entrance then pushed back in, swallowing the loud gasp she emitted. He swallowed every pleasurable noise she emitted as her mind repeated his name. Her fingers curled drawing a little bit of blood from his forehead. He answered each call of his name with her name and 'Mine'. She broke the kiss and screamed out his name.

"MAL-PH-ASSSSSSSSSSSS!"

"FRANCESSSSSSSS!" He roared, his wings flaring out as he threw his head back.

They released their warmth for a long while.

Frances' body twitched and shuddered as she tried to get her breathing under control. Her vision was blurry.

"I love you, Malphas." She breathed before she succumbed to sleep.

Malphas quickly caught the hand that was caressing his feathers on his face. He noticed the blood in her claws that were slowly turning into her human hand. He lifted it to his mouth and licked the blood from her human fingernails. She whimpered in her sleep as her body squirmed. They both moaned as their lower extremities were still connected. When he finished, he nuzzled her hand.

"I love you, my precious Frances."

His tongue darted out to lick her ring. She mewled quietly in her sleep.

"Malphas." She breathed out.

His body shook in pleasure at the breathless call of his name. He rotated them to the right. His wings wrapped around her. The hand he held, entwined with his fingers, her other hand wrapped around his upper torso holding his back. His other hand rested near her hip towards her back where a scar still resided. He buried his head into her hair as she snuggled into his chest.

"I've missed you, my Frances."

"Malphas." She sighed.

Malphas allowed his own eyes to close to rest against his mate.

Frances awoke an hour later with a contented sigh. She snuggled into the dark being's warm arms. His wings tightened around her. Her purrs grew louder. She could feel the demoness inside her had finally settled down. She moved her hand onto his wings, lightly stroking them. His warble/purr grew louder as his arm tightened around her waist and her other hand. She smiled. She looked at their intwined hands. Her pointer finger tried to reach his insignia however, she couldn't quite reach even with her demonic finger. She frowned before a mischievous smile grew upon her lips. She lifted his hand to her lips; her tongue began to lick his purple mark. Malphas let out a low growl. He rolled her to her back, his lips at her ear.

"If you don't stop with your mischievousness, I don't think I'll be able to stop." He growled, thrusting into her.

She tilted her head back and moan. He chuckled darkly. She rolled him over. She slid up his torso, pulling herself off of him. She leaned towards his ear.

"Do you promise, Master?" She asked, flirtatiously.

She licked the shell of his ear. He moaned. He rolled her over, his hand tilted her chin up sharply, so her fuchsia eyes met his. Desire, pleasure, obsession, and love danced within his fuchsia cat-eye slits. A smirk filled his face, a fang glinting. He nuzzled her nose.

"Such a little minx."

She smirked.

"Only for you, my Malphas." She said, her other hand trailing to cup his cheek.

He warbled/purred in agreement. He pulled her chin closer so their lips were centimeters from each other. His eyes boring deeply into hers causing her purr to grow louder. The flames and darkness caressed and danced wildly. Their songs echoed loudly again throughout the room.

"Yes. Only for ME, my mate."

He kissed her deeply, his tongue entering her mouth as she returned the kiss. She mewled as he growled. After a few minutes, they pulled away with her gasping for breath. They rubbed their noses against one another. They opened their fuchsia eyes to stare at each other with obsessive love.

Frances: I love~~~~~~ you, Malphas.

Malphas: I love~~~~ you, Frances.

They sang together. Another few minutes passed as Malphas ran a hand through her hair, a reluctant sigh passed the demon's lips.

"Come, my darling. Ms. Hopkins will be here after dinner and you must put your things away."

Her eyes widened as excitement filled her.

"All right."

She kissed his nose. She slid off of him, pulling his hand to lift him up from the bed. He chuckled at her excitement. She was about to release him when he lifted their joined hands and twirled her quickly. She let out a laugh that the demon relished in. He stopped the twirl, holding her close, her front to his front. Their smiles of love matched one another.

"I've missed you, my precious mate." He murmured softly, rubbing his nose against hers.

"I've missed you, my Malphas, so much." She sighed, moving her lips to meet his in a soft, chaste kiss.

Malphas warbled into her mouth as he returned the kiss. They pulled away after a few seconds, staring lovingly at one another. She turned away from the demon to see where her clothes were. She could hear him shifting back into his human form. She found them folded neatly on her luggage that sat by the door. She was fully dressed just as his darkness was pulled back to him, caressing her entire body causing her to close her eyes and tilt her head up with a contented sigh. Her body shivered. Once it passed, she went to grab her luggage when his white gloved hand beat her to it. She met his red gaze.

"Allow me, Frances." He said.

She smiled. She released her luggage and kissed his cheek. She pulled away, meeting his gaze once again.

"Thank you." She said.

He warbled quietly, nuzzling her nose.

"You're welcome."

He pulled away with her luggage in hand. He moved to open the door. She walked through. He closed it behind them. They made their way down the hall. Frances laced her arm through Malphas' free arm, resting her head against his shoulder as her other hand went to rest upon his chest, humming their song. Malphas smiled fondly at her, kissing the top of her head.

"Precious mate." He whispered.

She purred quietly. They made it to her room. He opened the door for her to which she thanked him for. He placed her luggage at the edge of her bed so she could take care of it, answering her with a, "You're welcome.". He turned to her and bowed.

"Excuse me, my Lady. I must take care of a few chores."

She nodded.

"Of course… Master."

He straightened from his bow, his eyes flashed fuchsia. A smirk grew upon his lips at the smirk on her face.

"Such a little minx." He murmured.

She smiled brightly as she walked over to him. Her hands held the edges of his tailcoat as her body leaned against him.

"You love me." She sing-said.

His eyes softened as his gloved hand gently placed itself upon her chin, rubbing it repeatedly. He leaned down as he tilted it up a little more.

"I do, my precious mate."

Her beautiful smile widened. They embraced one another's lips. They pulled away after a few minutes, with her gasping for breath. His smile widened further. He moved his hand to her cheek. He pulled away, reluctantly.

"I'll see you soon, my Malphas." She said before he could speak.

He smirked at her.

"Indeed, you will."

He moved towards the door. He gave her one last look before exiting the room. Frances hummed their song as she began to unpack. When she picked up the box containing the tiara Malphas got her, she couldn't help the wide smile that crossed her lips. She slowly opened the box to look at it yet again. She lightly caressed it, lovingly. She placed it next to her jewelry box, carefully closing the lid. She returned to her suitcase to continue unpacking. Once everything was in their correct spots, she carried her laundry to her door. She opened it revealing,

"Hello, Mey-rin."

Mey-rin smiled at her.

"Hello, Frances! (She held her arms open and hugged her. Frances smiled returning the hug with a quiet laugh.) It's good to see you, yes it is! (She pulled away causing Frances to drop her arm.) Sebastian sent me to assist you, yes he did. May I?" She asked, holding her hands out for the basket that Frances held in her other hand and against her hip.

Frances smiled.

"Of course."

She handed the basket to Mey-rin who took it gladly. The two of them began to walk down.

"It's good to see you as well, Mey-rin. Did you have a good Christmas?" Frances asked.

Mey-rin nodded.

"Oh, yes! Sebastian's sweets were amazing! As were your cookies! Thank you for making them! And the Young Master smiled a bit more too! It was so cute! Lady Elizabeth and he danced so beautifully, yes they did! Oh, thank you for my dress! It's beautiful, yes!"

"I'm glad you like it." Frances said, opening the door to the laundry room for Mey-rin.

Mey-rin smiled brightly.

"Oh!" She exclaimed suddenly, "I have your gift right here."

She pulled out a red box with a green ribbon around it. She handed it to Frances who accepted it.

"Thank you. (She opened it and smiled widely as she saw it was a black cat with red eyes making her think of her demon. A laugh escaped her lips.) It's so cute! Thank you, Mey-rin!" She exclaimed.

"You're welcome, my Lady."

The two of them began placing her clothes into the washer. Mey-rin inquired about her siblings to which Frances told her about them and how they are doing. Once the laundry was inside the washer, Frances watched as Mey-rin looked at the box where the number three was written for a full load. Mey-rin scooped three cups of the laundry detergent, pouring it into the washer after each scoop. She turned the knob to start it. Once they heard the water start, they walked out of the room. Mey-rin turned to her and bowed.

"Excuse me, my Lady, I must finish cleaning the guest room in the east wing."

Frances nodded.

"Very well. I'm gonna go see Finny."

Mey-rin nodded, straightening.

"Of course, Frances. See you later, yes."

"See you later, Mey-rin."

They parted. Frances made her way to the outside. She found Finny humming to himself as he shoveled some snow from the paths of back gardens near the forest area. He looked up from his work to wipe a bit of sweat from his face. When he opened his eyes, he spotted Frances. His turquoise eyes shimmered with happiness. He dropped the shovel and ran towards her with a bright smile.

"Frances!" He exclaimed, launching himself to her.

Frances laughed as she caught him. They rolled along the cold ground. When they came to a stop, Frances was on top of him. She quickly got off, pulling the boy up and embracing him in a hug too quickly for him to comprehend she was on him. He wrapped his arms carefully around her.

"Welcome home! (He pulled away to look at her though he kept his hands on her arms.) How was your trip? How are your siblings? Did you have a nice Christmas? (He pulled her into another hug.) Thank you for my birdie! He's sooooooo cute!"

Frances laughed at the energetic boy.

"You're quite welcome. I'm glad you like it. My trip was fun. My sisters and brother are doing great, excited. We had a lovely, calm Christmas. Thank you."

He laughed and smiled, pulling away from her.

"I'm glad." He said, happily. He dug into his pants pocket, pulling out a small box that was wrapped in blue with a dark blue ribbon around it, "This is for you. Merry Christmas!" He exclaimed, handing her the present.

She smiled, accepting the present.

"Thank you."

Suddenly Little Man Tanaka popped up beside Finny, holding a small purple wrapped gift in his hands above his head. Frances giggled as Finny greeted the older gentleman.

"Thank you, Tanaka. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas."

"Ho, ho, ho." Tanaka said.

Frances smiled even more. She opened Finny's gift first. She gasped as she saw the beautiful black wool scarf. On the ends were three red roses with matching black wool gloves.

"Thank you, Finny. They're lovely." She said.

She placed them back in the box. She wrapped her arms around the boy in a warm hug. He returned the hug with equal passion.

"You're welcome."

They parted. She opened Tanaka's gift. Her eyes widened. There were two beautiful Phantomhive crest pins in silver. One was for her hair while the other was a brooch she could wear on her dresses.

"These are beautiful, Tanaka. Thank you." She said, kneeling down and embracing the elderly gentleman.

"Ho, ho, ho." Little Man Tanaka replied, returning the hug.

They released each other after a few minutes. Frances stood to her full height. She looked at Finny.

"Would you like some help with shoveling the snow?" She asked him.

He shook his head.

"No, thank you. I'm almost finished." He stated, brightly.

She nodded with a smile.

"Very well, then. I shall see you at dinner." She said.

He nodded with a, "Mm hm.", turning and resuming his work. Frances smiled as Tanaka followed after him with an origami shaped shovel of his own. She walked into the manor. She sent her gifts to her secret place. She made her way to the kitchen. She opened the door to see Baldroy kneading some bread dough. He looked up from his work for a brief moment, spotting her in the doorway. His eyes widened.

"Frances! (He crossed the room as she made her way to him. They met halfway. He embraced her into a crushing hug.) Welcome home!" He exclaimed.

She smiled and hugged him back.

"Thank you, Baldroy. How was your Christmas?"

They parted. He crossed his arms over his chest.

"Eh, not too bad. The Young Master actually danced. That was nice to see."

She nodded.

"So I heard."

"Oh! I have your gift. (He turned around, scratching his head in thought.) Where did I… Ah! Here it is." He said, looking around in a few of the drawers to the right of him before finding what he was looking for in the last drawer.

He turned to her with a smirk on his face. In his hands he held a long thin box wrapped in green paper with a red and green bow.

"Thank you." She said, accepting it.

She unwrapped it. It was a long brown box with leaves and roses engraved within the wood. Her hand ran over it with a quiet,

"It's beautiful."

She slid the box open. Her eyes widened as she gasped. Inside was a long thin blade with a silver handle, engraved in blue was the Phantomhive crest. She carefully took it out. She placed the box onto the counter. She carefully placed the sharp point against her hand.

"It's beautiful. So sharp. So deadly."

Baldroy chuckled lightly. She looked up at him.

"Thank you, Baldroy."

"You're welcome, Frances."

She placed the knife back into the wooden box. She placed it to the side so it wouldn't get damaged. She turned to Baldroy.

"Would you like some help?" She asked him.

He smiled.

"Yes, please."

They made the bread dough together since Sebastian wanted four loaves. They talked and laughed with one another. They even discussed the servants' costumes while Frances told him hers was a surprise. They finished with the bread just a few minutes before it was time to start dinner. Frances excused herself to freshen up. She passed Sebastian on her way out, their hands brushing against one another. They sent warbles and purrs to one another as their hands tingled when they parted. The flames caressed one another. They didn't part looks until they were out of sight of one another. Frances returned to her room, going to the bathroom to freshen up. Once she cleaned up her appearance, she relaxed on her bed for a few minutes. When it neared dinnertime, she headed to the dining room. She met up with Ciel in the middle of the staircase on the first landing.

"Good evening, Ciel." Frances greeted.

"Good evening, Frances." He greeted back.

They made their way down. The servants greeted them happily. They greeted them back. They moved into the dining room. They were seated then served. Dinner was consumed after.

The second Frances ate her last bite, a loud bang was heard as the door slammed open.

"Good evening, Ciel and Frances! Nina Hopkins has arrived!" The eccentric woman exclaimed.

Ciel let out a sigh while Frances reached for her tea calmly. She drank it quickly, knowing she didn't have much time.

"Why must she always use the front door?" Sebastian grumbled in irritation.

Frances gave him a sympathetic smile. She stood just as the dining room door burst open. Nina's eyes latched onto Frances' immediately. She quickly zoomed over to her, gathering Frances in a bone crushing hug.

"You! Frances! Have a talent in fashion! I must know your secrets! This is going to be (Her hands planted themselves between the shoulder blades of her back and in the center of her chest. Frances grabbed both hands to stop them from wandering as Sebastian let out a low growl. The woman didn't notice.) fabulous! (She struck a pose where she threw her head back and bent her right knee. She opened her eyes. She noticed the holds Frances had on her wrists. She raised an eyebrow.) Why are you holding my wrists?" She asked, confused.

Frances pulled herself away from the woman.

"Um… Thank you, Ms. Nina. Let's go try it on, shall we?" She asked.

Nina nodded in excitement.

"Yes!"

She took Frances by the wrist and hand, pulling her quickly out of the dining room to her room.

Ciel and Sebastian were left dumbfounded by the eccentric woman.

"Why do people still have energy to be obnoxious this late in the day?" Ciel wondered in exasperation.

"I have no idea, Young Master." Sebastian answered.

In Frances' room, Nina had just finished pulling down the gown. Nina gasped. She quickly took Frances to the mirror in her room. Frances' eyes widened as she looked over the dress.

*It's… It's… It's….*

"Beautiful." She whispered.

"Yes, it is." Nina agreed, "We are artists of the fashion world!"

Frances nodded in agreement. She could not wait until tomorrow night.

After having Frances twirl to ensure everything still remained intact and correct, Nina assisted her to undress before leaving for her own home. Frances sent her dress to her secret place so that Sebastian wasn't tempted to peek at it. She slept in her demon's arms excited for tomorrow.
