Chapter LXVIII: The Ninja-Verse IV.
Last Time.
The asteroid exploded and fell as two metal spheres flew out of the smoke. The X-Jet hovered around Scott and Alex as pieces of the asteroid fell before they shot their powers straight up in the air at the asteroid, destroying it. Wolverine landed the X-Jet, everyone ran out and saw that Scott was back to normal, and Alex's hair went blonde.
Scott opened his eyes and had to shut them quickly as they glowed red. Naruto X walked over and placed his right hand on Scott's forehead. After a moment, Naruto X smiled and stood up. "I guess when your plane crashed, and you hit your head, that damaged some very sensitive nerves in your brain, specifically towards your eyes. Scott... Would you kindly open them?"
Scott slowly opened his eyes, and nothing happened. "Ahh!"
He quickly closed them, as it was too bright for him. Emma walked over and handed him his glasses. "You're going to have to periodically take your glasses off, and get used to the light." Naruto X finished as Scott sighed before looking at Emma.
"I'm sorry... Everyone." He said as Naruto X waved him off as Charles rolled over.
"We owe you two our lives... Alex, your powers will manifest... And we'll be there to help you along the way. Together, always unified, because we're the X-Men."
"There's my ride," Naruto said as a portal formed by the jet. "See you all later!" He then jumped in as the others waved.
Now.
Earth-10005 Boston Suburb.
Policemen surround a house as a 6'3" tall Logan with his blades out walks out with a teenage Rogue, and two teen boys, one with dirty blonde hair the other brown holding a zippo lighter.
"Drop the knives and put your hands in the air."
"What's going on here?" The dark-haired boy asked as the other looked down.
"Ronny."
"I said drop the knives."
"This is just a misunderstanding," Logan said looking at the policeman.
"Put the knives down."
"I can't," Logan said slowly raising his hands. "Look."
He then pulled his blades back in.
Bang!
And was shot in the head. "All right, the rest of you, on the ground now." Rogue and the blonde teen followed as the dark-haired one looked at the police.
Crack!
The wind picked up as Shinobi appeared in front of them before a black jet dropped down. Naruto then dropped several smoke bombs as Logan sat up with the bullet on the deck before leaving in the jet.
Naruto as he got in saw an adult Jean storm, and Kurt with short hair. "Guten tag."
"Who the hell is this?" Logan asked as Kurt looked over.
"Kurt Wagner. But in the Munich circus, I was known as 'The Incredible Nightcrawler.'"
"And who's that?" Storm asked as Naruto took his mask off.
"Naruto Uzumaki… Guess I'm not in this universe. You got Avengers?"
"Who?"
"OK, no on that," Naruto said before sighing. "I'm on a team of heroes with Iron Man, and Captain America."
"Sorry, bub." Logan looked over at the ninja. "Never heard of an Iron Man, and Steve died in the War."
"He's usually frozen at one of the poles… Guess there are no heroes here yet."
"There is that guy from New York with the webs," Bobby said, gaining his attention. "And I don't know if he would count but a guy is going after mobs with a skull on his vest." (1.)
Later, during the flight, the X-Jet is targeted by two Air Force F-16s who attempt to force a landing. After the X-Jet refuses to land, the pilots fire missiles. Storm creates several tornadoes to lose the aircraft. One plane is unable to maintain control and ejects. The other can fire two missiles before ejecting.
Storm attempts evasive maneuvers but quickly loses distance. Jean uses her powers at an unnaturally high level (partial manifestation of the Phoenix?) and can destroy one of the missiles. Unfortunately, the other detonates directly behind the jet, rupturing the fuselage. In the ensuing depressurization, Rogue is pulled out of her seat and out into a free fall.
Nightcrawler teleports outside the jet to grab Rogue, then teleports back in, saving her life. The jet, still en route to a crash landing, is stopped at the last moment by a middle-aged man, who is standing on the ground. 'Magneto.' Naruto thought, looking as Magneto put them on the ground before blinking at his companion. 'Mystique?'
Mystique is a female that stands at a fairly tall height, her hair is crimson red, laid down neck length and her eyes are yellow with dark yellow pupils. Naruto blinked as she was nude, has blue skin and scales covering her body and modesty, except for her midriff and the inside of her chest, giving her an inhuman look, and is barefooted.
'Damn.' He thought before they walked out of the jet.
As they sat at a fire sans the teens and Nightcrawler, Magneto explains that he has learned that Stryker has Cerebro and has orchestrated the attack on the President to gain approval to attack the school and has been experimenting on mutants (including Nightcrawler) at a secret base. With it, he can make Professor Xavier focus on any group of people, such as mutants, and kill them.
Magneto also reveals that Stryker is one of the only people who can manipulate adamantium, the metal in Wolverine's bones. He explains that Mystique has plans for Stryker's base, but they need Jean to read Nightcrawler's mind to get the location. Jean Grey reads Nightcrawler's mind and determines that Stryker's base is located at Alkali Lake.
When Wolverine claims that there is nothing at Alkali Lake, Jean insists that the base is inside the dam, which is the reason why Wolverine could never find it.
Later, Naruto sans mask was leaning on a tree before speaking. "Can't sneak up on me, Mystique." He turned to see the mutant saunter over. "How can I help ya?"
"Just curious."
Naruto looked at her and noticed three scars under her breasts. "About what?"
"I've never seen you before at that school, but you don't act like you're new to your powers."
"I'm not from this world… Just helped the others out when the police were called on them when I got here." He replied, crossing his arms. "And I see you're still palling around with Erik."
"So you know me?"
"Yep… Though you're in a white dress from the world I'm in now."
She smiled at that. "Oh~?"
She put a finger to his chin only for Naruto to gently grab her wrist. "Nice try?"
"Want me to be someone else?" She asked, turning into Ororo in a white bikini and Jean in a red.
"No… I'm taken… Though it is tempting." He said with a smile. "If you want this… There may be a me in this universe to find."
She leaned up close as she changed back to normal, her blue skin looking like it was wrapping around her as her scales spiked before laying flat. She then flashed Naruto by removing her scales for a second. "… Maybe I will."
Her tongue darted out to lick his lips for a second before turning to leave with a sway in her hips. Naruto glanced down at her bare ass before sighing. 'Someone out there is torturing me.'
Later Logan got in a black bodysuit as Bobby and Rogue looked at an extra in a sliding case.
"Why don't we get uniforms?" Bobby asked as Rogue looked over at Logan.
"Yeah, where's ours?"
"They're on order. Should arrive in a few years." He replied pressing a button and having the case go back into the wall.
They heard laughing and saw Erik laughing with Mystique before he looked over. "We love what you've done with your hair."
Once getting to the dam, they landed in the woods and had a yellow hologram come up showing a tunnel under the dam before making the plan of having Mystique pose as Logan to get in and then get to the security.
When Wolverine appears at the door, Stryker instructs the soldiers to let him in, as he believes his experiment has finally decided to come home, but as soon as Stryker sees Wolverine in person he knows it's not him. The imposter quickly changes into Mystique, who quickly incapacitates and pacifies several guards and manages to get into the laboratory's heavily fortified control room, opening up the main gates so that the X-Men can enter the Alkali Lake Facility.
Storm and Nightcrawler pair off, searching for the kidnapped students. Jean Grey joins Magneto and Mystique to keep an eye on them as they attempt to bring Professor Xavier back to his senses and rescue him. Jean, Magneto, and Mystique go to rescue Xavier and are attacked by a brainwashed Cyclops.
Jean stands her ground against Cyclops to buy Magneto enough time to get to Dark Cerebro and stop the coming mutant annihilation. Jean withstands Cyclops' optic blast, in which he uses full power and reflects the blast again at an extremely high level, causing both of them to be propelled backward, and causing damage to the generators that keep the dam from collapsing.
Wolverine and Naruto leave to search the laboratory for its secrets. He finds the room where the adamantium was applied to his bones, sees x-rays on the walls, and finds the liquid metal. Then, Wolverine remembers escaping the facility using his new metal claws after he overheard Stryker planning to erase his memory.
Stryker finds them there and when Wolverine goes to attack Stryker, Deathstrike attacks him in a duel to the death. Naruto then grabs her arm in a nelson before yelling. "Go, could be your last chance… I'll fight until that drug wears off!" Wolverine ran off before Naruto was flipped over Deathstrike's shoulders. "OK, let's go!"
Naruto kipped up before seeing a blade come out of each of her fingers. "… Shit!"
Naruto leaned out of the way of a slash and then punched her into the tank of water. She then flipped up to dash at Naruto who jumped up and landed on her back. He looked down to see a burn mark on the back of her neck before applying a sleeper hold on her. After a moment, she stopped struggling before he let go.
And was punched in the nose before she blinked. "… Naruto?"
"Oh, so there is a me here. Long story short, I'm a Naruto from another dimension." The place shook as Naruto noticed water dripping from cracks. "Let's get out of here."
Outside, Stryker leaves the complex, but Wolverine finds him and angrily punches him into submission, and impales him with his claws. Wolverine demands answers, such as why he bonded him with the Adamantium and why erased his memories. Stryker only tells him that he'd volunteered for the procedure and that the two of them worked together. He says Wolverine is a failed experiment, that he was an animal before and an animal now. Wolverine chains him to the helicopter, gets rid of his mutant dog tags, and goes back for the others.
In the meantime, Magneto and Mystique have found Stryker and commandeered his helicopter. Pyro has voluntarily joined them. However, Rogue flies the X-Jet over to the helicopter pad. As everyone struggles aboard, Wolverine notices Stryker chained to the dam—the work of Magneto. Stryker demands to be let go, pleading with Wolverine and suggesting Wolverine will forever be an outcast like his friends. Wolverine decides to take his chances with his fellow mutants. As he walks away with a child named Artie Maddicks, the boy sticks his black, forked tongue out at Stryker.
Magneto escapes on the helicopter, taking Pyro along with him. The X-Men realized that the Professor is attacking "everyone else". Storm persuades Nightcrawler to try to get inside Cerebro, to extend his powers. Inside, they see a little girl and not the Professor. But Storm isn't fooled and intensifies the cold in the chamber, freezing Jason to save Professor X and stop the killing process, but the dam is falling apart. As the ceiling panels start to collapse, Nightcrawler rescues Storm and then the Professor. The group runs away and finally finds the way outside.
Naruto ran out with Deathstrike and pointed her to the jet before a portal formed beside him. He then ran in before the portal disappeared as the dam broke.
Earth-26320, Hotel Detroit.
A couple lay on a bed nude before a man was thrown through the wall scaring them outside. Blade with the back of his neck tattooed walked out and deflected a lamp the man threw at him before grabbing him. "You never answered my question."
"You didn't ask one." The man replied as Blade pulled him close.
"If you weren't running, you would have heard it." Blade threw him against the door before turning to throw him on the bed, put his sword in it, blade facing the man, and started to pull his crotch first.
"OK, OK… Ask me the question."
"Sands, vampire… You know him?"
"No, no-" The man stopped as Blade pulled. "OK! Yeah, yeah, I know him… I was his familiar for a while…"
"How do I find him?" Blade asked as the man sighed.
"How the hell would I know-!"
Rrriiippp!
Blade pulled the man tearing his jeans. "OK! Shit! The guy's got a habit… Gambling."
"He hangs out at casinos?" Blade asked. "He got a favorite one?"
"Something shitty, with bad lighting… He doesn't like to be looked at. He got pretty messed up a while back." Blade let the man go as he moved away from the sword. "What, that's it."
"Bonus question: You pissed off the house of Chthon… You know how?"
"Yeah, I ashed a heavy hitter…. Winston helped."
"Helped?" Blade asked, sheathing his sword on his back. "You sure?"
"Two years ago I watched him serve up a cub scout at a party… I'm sure."
Blade then turned to pick up a bag of money before leaving and the man checked his crotch before Blade looked back. "About you ashing vampires… Keep it up."
Later, after giving the money to an informant, Blade got back to his hideout where a young Taiwanese man in a beanie was at computers before they heard a crack as the wind picked up. They looked to see a portal open up above them before Shinobi fell out onto a table. "Damn it." He groaned before seeing a sword on his face. "Easy… A friend here, Blade."
"Who are you?"
"Shinobi," Naruto said before pulling his mask off. "Or Naruto Uzumaki."
Later, after convincing Blade, Naruto stood with him with his combat vest that had his sword on his back, and his silver kunai, throwing blades and spikes. "So Dracula's a problem for you?" Blade asked Naruto who shrugged.
"Yeah for about 70 years," Naruto replied as he looked at the base. "And a lot of your vampires got wiped out due to an airborne serum?"
"Yeah, and they're building up their numbers."
Casino.
In a small casino, a man was at a slot machine in sunglasses and a hat. He cussed as he didn't win anything showing the left side of his face looked to be cut up.
"Son of a bitch!" He suddenly jumped as Blade in a regular black coat and Naruto in a black shirt, using a Genjutsu (Illusion Technique) to hide his weapons on his vest and jeans. "Used to be a halfway respectable joint… Now they just let anyone in."
"We need to talk."
"Or what? You'll stake me here?" Sands asked, taking his glasses off and turning to show the right side of his lips were messed up as well. "Eye in the sky's watching you."
Naruto looked up to see Shen throwing a fit before they took Sands outside to a black '68 Dodge Charger. "Go ahead, kill me!" The two just started at Sands for a moment. "What, gonna sunglass me to death?"
"Just wondering about the scars. We want to know who did that."
"OK, you want information I wanna keep breathing so here's the terms-AAH!"
He stopped as Blade used a UV flashlight on him. "Here are the terms," Blade said, turning the light off. "You talk, and you get to keep your rotting dick."
Suddenly, Shen ran out and all of them got in the car and peeled out. Later, they got to the docks. Shen held a sawed-off shotgun before Blade spoke. "You were cheating vampires?"
"Yeah… Mostly scum from the House of Armaya."
"You fleeced Armayans?" Shen asked leaning against the car and then looking at Blade. "And I thought you lived dangerously."
Sands explains he used to cheat the vampires at poker before explaining the last game he and the vampires at the table were caught and dragged to a lab before being the sole one to escape several weeks later. And that's where he got his scars.
All of them then got back in the car and drove to an empty warehouse. "Nothing here," Naruto said, looking around before seeing drawings on the floor. "Were they looking for ways around their weaknesses?" He asked before Blade broke through a brick wall and they walked down a hallway.
They then blew a door and saw a lab, as Shen went to another hallway. Suddenly, some dead vampires got up and started attacking. Sands ran to the back as Naruto pulled out two kunai and sliced vampires, having them turn to ash. Blade kicked and punched several moves before pulling his word and a gun out to attack the others.
They then walked to the door where Shen walked in covered in ash. "We gotta go!"
They turned to see Sands running before seeing a muscular vampire run in and immediately shot him. Blade leaned down and picked up a scalpel in the ash.
Blade's Hideout.
"OK… according to customs, the entire production batch was shipped from the manufacturer in Pennsylvania to a clearing house across the sea where it sat for 9 months before being sent back to the US and sold to one Ravenson Wholesale Medical here in Detroit for 2,700."
"2,700 customers?" Naruto asked as Shen nodded and typed on the computer.
Later, Naruto saw a Caucasian woman with long brown hair walk in and talk to Blade about finding a serum the vampires are creating before he gave her some of his serum. "What's she need that for?" He asked Shen who was marking stuff on a clear whiteboard.
"She was helping us before being turned but Blade gave her his serum."
"Ah, had my girl briefly turn as well but we cured her."
"How?"
Wasn't fully turned yet and made a serum using radiation blood… A friend of ours got into a radiation accident and was turned but his blood fought it as it was close to the power of the sun creating antibodies."
The next day they went to the pediatrician doctor where he shot himself seeing them before they got out to the car. As Blade was talking to Shen via comms, Naruto pulled him out of the way of an armored truck.
Several masked men got out and were immediately turned to ash as a kunai hit them before Naruto walked over and into the truck. "Guess you can use this."
When getting back they saw Krista leaving with a bag.
A couple of days go by before Blade and Naruto stood outside a church that's holding the funeral for the doctor that killed himself before looking to see a pregnant woman in the group. Blade hit a button on his glasses and saw her stomach had no heat signature.
They then stake out her house where Shen explained her name is Vanessa Simms and that she isn't married nor has a boyfriend due to renting only romances on her new 9-grand TV. "Man, forgot how much TVs were," Naruto said as he saw her get out to walk her dog. "Can't think of anything that pays that much cash unless she only splurges like once every ten years."
After getting back to the hideout Krista came in to report on what she's been doing before giving information on Vanessa and that she's most likely been going to a safe house over in Berlin as they lost sight of her for a day.
Suddenly, a portal opened up, having Naruto look at Blade. "Good luck." He said before running in.
Earth Grand Line. (2.)
(A/N: I'll Use Naruto S for times when One Piece's Naruto shares a scene/is first for a scene.)
Naruto S in a white shirt and blue jeans leaned against the mast as he watched a very voluptuous young woman with a large bust, long red hair with a tattoo on her shoulder of a pinwheel with a tangerine in a blue and white bikini play volleyball with a small anthropomorphic reindeer.
Nami & Chopper.
He looked to see another voluptuous woman with long black hair, a large bust wearing a pink button shirt that was tied to show her cleavage and the bottom of her breasts, and black bikini bottoms.
And he swore he saw a hint of pink as she hit the ball to a tall man with metal shoulders, nose, and knees wearing a pink speedo, white shirt, and a bear-themed jacket with blue hair.
Nico Robin & Franky.
Crack!
"AAHH!"
Another Naruto with a combat vest dropped down onto the grass deck. "Damn it! I hate these fucking portals!"
He got up and rolled his shoulders before seeing another him, the women plus three guys, a skeleton with an afro, and another dark-skinned woman with long red hair.
"Well, this looks familiar." He said before looking up and saw a Jolly Roger with a straw hat. "Oh, I'm in one of those universes."
"Naruto, why'd you create one of your clones?" A dark-haired young man asked, straw hat hanging off his back.
Monkey D. Luffy.
"I didn't." Naruto S replied. "That me isn't wearing what I am."
"I'm you from another universe."
"I'm from a different universe as well… I got here after the war." Naruto S explained as Naruto blinked.
"War?"
"Oh… Sounds like you left before then. Forget I said anything."
Naruto saw a young man with short green hair, a scar over his closed left eye, and three earrings in his left ear. His frame is larger, showing considerable muscle mass, and is wearing a green ball cap and bathing shorts.
Roronora Zoro.
He saw another muscular man with black hair and a long nose and another with blonde hair and a swirl eyebrow.
Usopp, & Sanji.
Meanwhile, the others ate before Luffy took food off the grill getting Sanji's ire. He saw Nami and Chopper winning due to Robin using her powers to hit the ball. Later, as they ate, Nami told Chopper about Tesoro's casinos while Brook explained about the 24/7 all-you-can-eat buffets.
Meanwhile, Naruto S put on a black duster coat and opened a beer bottle before taking a drink. "So there's another pirate universe with us in it?" He asked Naruto who nodded.
"Yep though we're either born there or came over at a young age due to only using martial arts from Tsunade and Gai and Lee
Naruto S turned to see Gina in short shorts, a black shirt, and her hair in a braided ponytail walk up to him. He turned and was hit in the forehead with a 100-berry coin before catching it as Nami spoke. "Naruto, use that to get us some cash at the casinos!"
Naruto S sighed as he pocketed the coin before Luffy, Usopp, Brook, Franky, and Chopper put on a sumo show for them all that lasted until duck. "There a whip here?" Naruto asked as Nami beat the others after waking her up.
As the sun sets, they see a light from a very large ship before Nami explains that it's the Gran Tesoro. They sailed to it and Naruto saw the ship.
A large portion of the Gran Tesoro is composed of gold, and its bow resembles a cruise ship, only much more massive in scale. The entire ship is ten kilometers long and a city is built inside it, with no roof covering it. The stern is a large circle with a tall golden tower in the center, and at the very back is a large green area.
The front of the ship allows other ships to enter the Gran Tesoro. Its name and two pirate flags can be seen when entering the ship. It appears to be drawn by two gigantic sea turtles armed with cannons as a means of locomotion.
As they got to the tunnel, Naruto S saw the Jolly Roger. It's a thin skull wearing a purple top hat balanced on the left side of its head, with two white crossbones behind it. Behind the skull and crossbones, there is a large yellow dotted design with the initials "GT" embezzled with light bulbs in the letters.
They went through the tunnel as gold dust fell on them. Naruto looked out and saw even the water looked golden before they came out into a pool where they saw dancing girls on star platforms as a man was on one in the back. "This is a strange universe."
He is a very tall and muscular man with slicked-back green hair. He's wearing a gold button-down shirt with a white jacket over it; the jacket is covered with gold star patterns and also has a rose on the left breast. He also has gold pants and a white top hat which has a gold-colored flow on the top.
Gild Tesoro.
Naruto turned as another ship with a long cannon in the front shot at them. "What the hell?"
"We're the Long-Long Pirates! Hand over all your valuables or maybe we'll just take them!"
Suddenly a spotlight came down on both ships as the other crew jumped on the Sunny. Only for each member to be taken out quickly by the Straw Hats. Suddenly, water shot up and became solid tendrils that wrapped around the Long-Long Pirates and wrapped up their ship before Gild spoke up as water shot out of pipes around them. "Welcome one and all to the world's greatest entertainer center, Gran Tesoro! Enjoy your stay."
The Crew then docked in the gold-colored port with a large group that also docked.
"Wow… Would you look at that?"
They looked up to see a woman walk toward them. She's a tall and slim woman with light brown skin, long red hair, and a red tattoo on her lower left hip of a spiral snake with a star in the middle. She's wearing a black backless dress with a white stripe on the left, black gloves, large crescent-shaped earrings, purple-tinted sunglasses, black stiletto heels, and a belt with a star-shaped buckle.
Baccarat, Concierge Of Gran Tesoro.
"Excuse me, but might you be the famous Straw Hat Crew?" She asked, having Sanji dash over to fawn over her before taking her glasses off, revealing her green eyes, and hanging them off her dress. "I'm Baccarat, concierge for V.I.P. guests."
"That's cool and all but what does that have to do with us?" Luffy asked her.
"Because you're on the list!" Baccarat explained pulling a book out to flip through it. "All things pirates, marines, and government heads are considered V.I.P.s." She held the book out to show she stopped on pages that had their wanted posters on them. "And there you are! Now follow me."
She then pointed them to a car rolling up. It's a long white convertible with gold trim and small turtles on the sides acting as pistons.
They got in with Luffy jumping on the hood before they drove off. They pass through the downtown area, which contains resorts and all sorts of vacation facilities and destinations, before passing into the first-class city where all buildings are made of gold. The Straw Hats become more and more awestruck at the beautiful ship, but Baccarat reveals that there are Eizo Den Den Mushi everywhere, and anyone caught cheating or stealing will be sent to an underground prison.
Later, the group walked to a casino dressed in white suits and dresses.
"Welcome to Gran Tesoro's pride and joy, The Leoro!"
"Holy cow! It's all gold!"
"It's made entirely of gold," Baccarat explained before a group of kids ran up to them.
"Buy a flower from us!"
"P-Please do..."
"You're VIP customers, ain'tcha?!"
"Flower?" Gina asked as she looked down.
"C'mon! What's the harm? Buy one! Just buy one!"
"So how much do ya want?" Naruto asked, crouching down.
"5,000 berries! We aren't gonna be free 'til we get money! So just help us out, wouldja?!"
"What do you mean by that?"
"Oh dear, kiddies. Why are you bothering my customers?" Baccarat spoke walking over, scaring the kids. "This is not a place people like you belong, right? So run back home." The kids ran as Baccarat turned to the Crew. "Please excuse them! Now let us hurry along to the casino."
They walked to the large gold casino just inside the building. "So this is the casino! It's so huge!"
"Indeed. We have several games and attractions here at the casino. Feel free to ask me about any of them. I will be happy to guide you." Baccarat explained
"Arigato. (Thanks.)" Naruto said as a man walked over with a case, opened it, and showed blue and black poker chips inside with a gold coin in the middle.
"We'll start by lending you 20,000,000 berries worth of chips."
"Do we get to use them?!" Gina asked as Nami leaned down to look at them.
"Indeed. Don't hold back."
Luffy took a chip and ran to a room with Usopp and Chopper as Nami took the case and ran after them before stopping at the entrance. "Kami (God), those guys just do what they want! What's this game?" She asked a woman in a sexy bunny suit that walked up
"Hai. (Yes.) This here is a free-for-all race using the Turtle Shuttles. The entrance fee is 1,000,000 berries!"
Naruto and Naruto S walked up as the two and Nami went to watch the race. As the race begins, Jimmy Myers initially leaps out to a large lead. However, Straight shoots and destroys his car, taking the lead, but due to his refusal to turn the car, he and his driver Curve drive off the track. Luffy's car passes several other competitors, but the driver in front, Whitejack, has Kiruko spray a liquid onto the track, which causes Luffy's car to skid and stop.
As the Straw Hat trio recovers and resumes driving, Whitejack's car is forced off the track by Kent Beef Jr., but Count Times manages to maneuver in front of Beef. The Straw Hats then draw closer to Beef's car, and Pork throws a bale of hay at them, blocking their vision. The cars approach an extremely tight curve, and due to the Straw Hats' struggle to see through the hay, they careen off a cliff onto a golf course.
However, as they skid around, Luffy pulls them back toward the track with Gomu Gomu no Rocket, and they fly through a Gran Tesoro logo. They then land right next to Beef and Times Count, and the three enter the home stretch neck and neck with each other. The Straw Hats manage to beat Beef and Times Count to the finish line by mere centimeters. "And the Straw Hat Team wins!"
"Yes! Let's keep on winning!" Nami yelled out, hugging Naruto S's head in her cleavage.
The Straw Hats continue winning casino games, making a profit of 30 million. Baccarat then offers to take them to the VIP lounge, where they have the chance to become billionaires. As they got in the large elevator, got to the VIP level, and had Baccarat knock on the door. Suddenly, a man phased through it scaring the others.
He is a very large man with a thick build, and his head is bigger than the rest of his body. He's wearing a black suit with a green bow tie as well as a white stripe on the left side. A black and white hood covers two horn-shaped appendages on his head, and there is a green star on the hood
Tanaka, Head Of Security.
"Who the hell's this guy?!" Naruto asked, pointing at him. "Why the hell is his head so big?"
"He is the security guard of the casino. Tanaka-San." Baccarat explained. "He can slip through anything with his ability."
"Okay, let me have your hands please," Tanaka said, having everyone hold hands before he pulled them through and showed a large room with men at a table on a lower floor playing dice.
"Whoa, oi. (Hey.) Even the navy's here?" Sanji asked, seeing a marine man and woman walk by them.
"Please do not worry. The Gran Tesoro is a special location permitted by the World Government. There's a rule forbidding marines from touching pirates here.
"We now begin!"
Naruto looked down to see two very tall men putting black and silver dice beside a large metal cup before a man walked to it.
He is a thickset man with an enormous torso and arms but disproportionately smaller legs. He wears an open black coat lined in fur which has a white stripe on the left side, black pants, and a belt that has a very large star emblem in the center. There are four gray stars on his left sleeve and six on the back of his jacket. He wears a large pearl necklace and a cap on his head and has a tattoo of a purple star on his shoulder. He also has a blond mustache and beard.
"Who's this clown?" Zoro asked, resting his arm on his sword.
"He's Dice. He's got a reputation as the champion of the underground deathmatch shows. He was so strong that he lost people to play against. So we've appointed him in charge of being the dealer here." Baccarat explained while they looked down.
Dice then tosses the giant dice into the air and grabs hold of a giant metal container, flipping it upside down and allowing the dice to fall into it. He then flips the container back upside down, and the Straw Hats are awed by Dice's immense strength. Dice then destroys the container with his forehead while holding an axe for no reason, taking pleasure at the pain of impact, and the dice values are revealed. The Straw Hats agree to take the chance and become billionaires, with Luffy betting everything they had, and the first roll is successful.
"My, my. Welcome to the Gran Tesoro."
After they all walked down, they turned to see Gild and a woman walk toward them. She is a slim woman with long light purple hair, tied in a chignon, and blue eyes. She's wearing a black backless ring neck halter dress with a keyhole cutout that shows her cleavage, a red feathered boa, and a red flower in her hair.
Carina.
"Are you all enjoying yourselves?"
"Who the heck're you?" Luffy asked as Gild stopped by them.
"Pardon me. It's a pleasure to meet you. I am the owner of this ship, Gild Tesoro."
"So you're that Casino King dude! Well, I'm gonna be Pirate King!"
"Wow, it's truly an honor to have the future Pirate King aboard my ship! So, how about it? Would you like to compete against me?" Gild asked, taking his glasses off.
"Compete?"
"If we go about it, how about using these rules? If you should win, I'll give you an investment worth ten times your earnings. Of course, should you lose, you'll earn debt ten times your earnings. You see, I'm simply disgustingly rich. It doesn't rustle any excitement if I don't raise the stakes like this. So what will it be?" Gild asked as he walked up to the table and sat down.
"Sounds good! I ain't gonna lose!"
Baccarat then removes her gloves and touches him on the shoulder. The dice are then rolled again and come up as a two and a six. With Luffy having lost, Tesoro commends Baccarat on her ability. Baccarat reveals to the Straw Hats that she changed Luffy's luck with the Raki Raki no Mi (Luck Luck Fruit), and Luffy suddenly gets a stomach ache before slipping on a banana peel.
Tesoro tells Luffy to hand over his chips, and the Straw Hats argue that they were cheated against, but Tesoro says the Straw Hats will have to work to repay their debt, as that is how Gran Tesoro operates. The Straw Hats realize they were tricked and prepare to fight, but Baccarat lures Sanji toward her and gives him bad luck as well, and Tanaka throws the Straw Hats into chaos by jumping in and out of the floor and shooting at them.
Zoro then challenges Tesoro and rushes at him, but Tesoro encases Zoro's legs in gold. Naruto then dashed over and grabbed Zoro before disappearing. Tesoro tells the Straw Hats to repay the money they borrowed, and Nami attempts to intervene, but Carina holds a knife to her throat as Nami recognizes her. Nami promises to repay the money.
City.
"I'm starving!"
Luffy yelled out feeling better from his spell. "Saving Zoro's more important than that!" Usopp yelled out as they walked down the street.
"You're damn right but let's eat first!"
"Can't you fight?" Gina asked Naruto S who sighed.
"Even if I can get rid of the gold with my cloak, he can still attack you all using the gold on you. Judging by the gold water here, I guess it has gold in it as well, otherwise people would wash it off and leave."
Naruto appeared beside them after saying he put Zoro in a safe place before they continued As they walked, Carina wearing a cap, sunglasses, and a white button shirt walked up to them and bumped into Nami. She has the buttons undone to show extreme cleavage and she wasn't wearing a bra and short shorts with red suspenders.
"Oh my, pardon me."
"Hold it!" Nami grabbed her hand and showed Carina was holding a wallet.
"My looks like you haven't gotten rusty, Cat Burglar," Carina asked as Nami took the wallet back.
"How about you? Haven't you gotten rusty, Thief-Girl? So it is you, Carina." Nami said as Carina smiled.
"You guys know each other?" Franky asked as he turned.
"Yup, we do. Nami's like a rotten Cat Burglar friend to me. Right?" Carina asked, having Nami cross her arms in a huff.
"No way! Back in the East Blue, we just happened to steal the same treasure."
"Until you screwed up, you mean!"
"You screwed up way more than I did!"
"What's that, you damn Cat Burglar?!" Carina glared as they got in each other's faces.
"You rotten Thief-Girl!"
Later, the group goes to a diner to eat, and Carina reveals that even though she is working for Tesoro, she is going after his treasury, which contains 20% of the world's active currency. Such wealth is enough to buy a small country as well as influence both the World Government and the black market. Carina gives the Straw Hats the idea to steal from the treasury to free Zoro, though no thief has ever succeeded in stealing from it.
Since they could not fight Tesoro due to his control over the gold on their bodies, they could manipulate the rules of Gran Tesoro to get Zoro back. The Straw Hats agree to this plan, although Nami wants to have Carina's key to the treasury, and the two start arguing. Suddenly, the Straw Hats see a group of men harass two children named Rikka and Tempo, who had previously tried selling flowers to the Straw Hats, by breaking some plates and adding to their debt.
Carina reveals that the two children are forced to work like slaves due to their parents' debt, and as one of the men tries to punch Rikka, the owner of the restaurant, Double Down, intervenes. Double Down apologizes for Rikka and Tempo, and the men kick his lowered head, warning him that all guests must smile and forcing him to smile.
After the men leave, Luffy asks why they did not fight back, but Rikka shouts that there is no way to and that Luffy does not understand before running out of the restaurant.
Gild Tesoro.
Meanwhile, Tesoro sits in a pool of flowing gold when he is approached by Spandam who's dressed in a white suit and has a white mask. Tesoro has Tanaka appear and pay Spandam a large amount of Heavenly Tribute money to buy his services in taking care of the Straw Hats. However, after Spandam leaves, Tesoro requests that better World Government agents be sent to Gran Tesoro as well.
Outside, Sanji reads a poster advertising Zoro's upcoming execution, and he tells Luffy to go to sleep so they can begin their mission the next day. The next morning, the Straw Hats wake up and try on disguises, and Nami berates Luffy, Chopper, and Brook for trying on ridiculous disguises. Later, Nami meets with Carina on a rooftop, unhappily recalling the time Carina left her to die.
The two had been caught and tortured by Mad Treasure while trying to steal his treasure, and Carina offered to go and repay him with more treasure, with Nami's life on the line should she not return. She did not return, and Nami tried to get back to the treasure she had hidden away, only to find that Carina had stolen it. Carina leaves the event in the past, angering Nami as she had nearly died, and she tells Carina that if she betrays them in this mission, she will never forgive her. The two petty thieves then make a pact.
As night falls, the Straw Hats stand alongside Carina in their disguises. Carina goes over the plan to the forgetful Luffy, revealing that in the Hyper Suite Room at the top of the hotel, where there are 500 billion stored, set aside as Heavenly Tribute to maintain the favor of the World Nobles. However, the room is encased in gold, giving Tesoro control over it, and the only stairs there are heavily monitored by Eizo Den Den Mushi.
Team A will be Luffy and Franky, who will climb up outside of the hotel, sneak into the giant clock, and go into the control room. There, they will disconnect the Host Den Den Mushi from the Eizo Den Den Mushi. Team B will be Gina, Robin, Sanji, Usopp, Brook, Nami, Chopper, and herself, who will enter through the VIP lounge. They should be able to escape the inspection and will enter another door inside the room. If they pass the security to that door, they will head toward a large corridor that leads to the stairs to the Hyper Suite Room.
Once the Eizo Den Den Mushi are shut down, they can access the Hyper Suite Room with a giant golden key and the mission will be complete as the Narutos will hang back as the backup.
Night.
Luffy and Franky climb up part of the hotel, but the remainder of the tower does not have handholds. However, Franky shoots out plungers from his shoulders that attach to the wall, giving him and Luffy something to hold on to. Meanwhile, while the Straw Hats in Team B hide behind a pillar, Carina distracts some workers who are delivering a metal dice container to the VIP points room.
While she distracts them, the Straw Hats leap into the container. Tanaka oversees the container being transported, and he allows Carina to follow after it, allowing her to rendezvous with the Straw Hats when the container is stored away. Meanwhile, Luffy and Franky rappel from plunger to plunger, trying to avoid detection inside and outside the hotel. However, as they draw closer to the clock, the plunger Luffy is holding onto slips off, causing him to fall and forcing Franky to catch him.
This causes Franky's plunger to slip off as well, though as they fall, Franky uses Coup de Boo to propel both of them back up. Both of these actions cause some people in a dining room to notice them, and Franky and Luffy reach the clock, but start falling again. However, Luffy manages to grab hold of the clock's minute hand and pull him and Franky up to it; they then enter the giant clock through the glass, which Gild Tesoro cannot feel.
Meanwhile, Team B runs through the hotel and approaches the door guarded by security. Robin uses her Devil Fruit powers to take out the guards, and the team enters a large hallway. The hall is guarded by red-eyed owls which shoot red beams out of their eyes; anything living that makes contact with these beams will cause the owls to screech loudly.
Being able to understand the owls, Chopper can listen to their observation patterns and helps his teammates avoid the beams. The team reaches the end of the hall right as the owls all start looking toward them, and Brook is caught in the beams. However, due to his skeletal body, the owls do not register him as alive, and the team moves on.
Carina contacts Luffy and Franky, who is in an air vent directly above the Host Den Den Mushi. She tells them what pipeline to attach the silver Den Den Mushi to shut off the connection to the main stairway, and Luffy rappels down to it. However, he fails to stretch far enough and is sent flying back to the vent opening.
The security guard looks around to find the source of the noise but does not see Luffy. Luffy then rappels down again and successfully attaches himself to the pipe, allowing him to put the silver Den Den Mushi on it. However, he loses his connection to the air vent and is discovered by the security guard, who raises the alarm, which Team B hears.
Tanaka sees the disturbance from the control room, and footage of Luffy is broadcast throughout Gran Tesoro, which Rikka and Tempo see. Franky protects Luffy from the security guards' gunshots and fills the room with smoke, allowing them to retreat. However, Franky is suddenly stabbed through the back by a tendril of gold, and Tesoro and Tanaka enter the room through the floor.
"Franky!"
"I can't believe you'd sneak in here of all places. Man, don't you care what happens to your friend now that you've done this?" He snapped his fingers to show a screen of Zoro encased in gold.
"Zoro!"
"Well? Lovely, isn't it? Don't you think it's a fitting stage for an execution? It's entertainment! How about it, Straw Hat? Laugh."
"Like hell, I will! I'll kick your ass!" Luffy exclaimed and dashed forward before Gild had gold cover his hands.
"Gōn Bonba! (Gold Bomb!)"
He punched Luffy, having the gold explode before grabbing Luffy and covering his arms in gold. "It's useless. I'm untouchable inside this city! Remember this. Those without money in this world can't gain anything! They can only be controlled by it."
"Urusai! (Shut up!)" Luffy yelled as he struggled. "I won't be controlled by something so ridiculous!"
"Those words… Let's see you try to make them a reality!" Gild threw Luffy across the room before turning. "Assuming you have a future, that is."
Tanaka jumped up and raised his hands before dropping and touching the floor. "Botomuresu Heru! (Bottomless Hell!)" A hole appeared, having both Franky and Luffy drop into it and fell into it. "Should I go down below and finish them off?"
"Leave them be," Gild said, throwing a Den Den Mushi in the air. "More importantly, go check the spiral staircase."
"As you order."
Meanwhile, Team B is disconnected from Luffy and Franky and is forced back through the hall by security. While escaping from security, they enter another secret hall. Inside the hall, they are suddenly approached by the World Noble and his entourage, and they are forced to hide behind a pillar.
Franky And Luffy.
Luffy, Franky, and the prisoners that had jumped into the pipe run down the pipe as they battle a swarm of gold-colored bats. They then come to a large vertical pipe that has an extremely big and fast fan made of Seastone spinning below. Knowing there was no way they could get past that, Max advises Luffy to turn around, but Luffy is determined to keep going and leaps toward the fan.
However, the fan beats him around and at one point sends him crashing into the wall, forcing Franky to stretch out his hand and rescue Luffy. Despite this experience, the injured Luffy refuses to turn back, causing Max to be moved. Max then decides to help Luffy and measures the position of the fan. He then leaps into it but is caught by one of the blades and tossed around by the sheer force of it.
However, Max manages to regain his composure and hang on top of the fan blade, allowing him to crawl toward the wall. He then puts himself against the wall and holds back the fan with every ounce of his strength; seeing the fan begin to slow down, the other prisoners jump to the fan and hold it back until it is completely stopped.
Finally, Luffy, Franky, and the prisoners reach the tank of seawater, and Team B reaches the door to the Hyper Suite Room. Carina then unlocks and opens the door, but as it opens, fireworks are immediately triggered and the Straw Hats find themselves not in the Hyper Suite Room, but on a balcony directly facing the audience and the imprisoned Zoro.
Tesoro welcomes them to his spectacle, and Carina heads toward him, revealing that she had been working for him the entire time. The Straw Hats' quest was nothing more than an elaborate game set up by Tesoro, all leading to this giant spectacle. Tesoro then shows a video feed of Luffy, Franky, and the prisoners trying to get seawater.
Luffy manages to break open the seawater tank, allowing him and the prisoners to wash Tesoro's gold off of them. However, Tesoro opens the grates around them, causing water to flood the room and submerge them. Tesoro states that those without money cannot achieve anything, and Luffy and Franky try to escape but eventually succumb to the water.
Sanji races forward to attack Tesoro, but he summons several tendrils of gold. Sanji attempts to fight the tendrils, but he and the rest of his crewmates are eventually trapped by them, and their skin is slowly encased in gold. Tesoro then has them watch as he creates two enormous axes to execute Zoro.
However, right as the axes start to swing, all of Gran Tesoro's power goes out. Tesoro and his subordinates get confused, and Nami starts laughing as she reveals that Tesoro and his crew were the ones who were tricked the entire time. The openings that once sprayed flowing gold now spray seawater, which Tanaka succumbs to. Dice protects Tesoro from the deluge, which frees the Straw Hats from their gold bindings and frees everyone on Gran Tesoro from Tesoro's control over them.
Tesoro then confronts the Straw Hats, wanting to know what had happened, and Nami reveals that Carina's plan all along had been to release seawater throughout Gran Tesoro, and all of them except Luffy had known that. They then cast away their disguises in favor of leather jacket outfits.
Naruto in his gold cloak dropped down as Gild covered everything in gold before clones pulled everyone away. Suddenly, a very large gold Gild statue stood up with glowing purple lines. As well as the other officers all in gold armor, Baccarat's being a corset.
Naruto S created the Kurama cloak and attacked Gild as the others faced his workers. "What the fuck?"
Naruto asked, seeing the gold cloak as Zoro dashed over to block Dice's powerful axe swings before leaping up and striking the dealer in the head. Dice uses Busoshoku Haki to block the strike, though Zoro disarms him and blows him away with another attack. However, Dice leaps at Zoro, covering his entire head in Busoshoku Haki, and then rolls into Zoro, disarming him, and he picks up Zoro's swords.
Meanwhile, Tanaka falls to the ground, where he jumps in and out of various locations around Sanji and Robin. He then starts shooting at them as he pops in and out, and when Sanji barely misses him, he appears behind Sanji and points his gun at him.
Baccarat touches several of Tesoro's employees, and a pillar falls on them. Usopp tries shooting her while her back is turned, but his shot misses and hits an employee. Baccarat states that her Devil Fruit allows her to store up the luck she takes from other people and become very lucky and decides to fight with only her luck and a gold coin, which she throws at Usopp, Chopper, and Brook.
One of the employees steps on the coin, causing his foot to break, which causes him to fall and pull another employee's pants down, which causes that employee to shoot his arrow in shock. The arrow falls right in front of another employee, who shoots the man next to him in shock, causing the man to fire his rocket launcher.
Two employees on the top of a building prepare to throw a bomb down, but they are hit by the rocket, causing the bomb to fall on Usopp, Brook, and Chopper. Baccarat continues throwing her coin at the three pirates, causing them continued pain until Usopp finally decides to run away.
Naruto uppercuts the statue in the chin before he grabs the arms, and brings it face to air, and creates a black ball in Kurama's mouth. "Bijūdama! (Tailed Beast Bomb!)"
He shot the stomach having everything under it disintegrate as cannon balls hit the area revealing Marine ships outside.
On one, Lucci was standing dressed in a white suit before a clone of Naruto dropped down in his gold cloak. "Can't have you do that." Rob dropped his coat before seeing a black ball hit the mast and disintegrate it. "You really wanna push me? I could have killed you 2 years ago if Luffy didn't call dibs." He created two black staffs as the rest of the balls spun around him. "So try me!"
Back on the Tesoro, Naruto pulled Gild from the head and slammed him into a pool full of seawater before dispelling the fox and dropping down, slamming into Gild's back. Creating a shock-wave, and knocking him out. Naruto grabbed him, flew up, and threw Gild onto one of the Marine ships as he had more clones fly up to disperse any further attacks.
Up ahead, Robin binds Tanaka with a giant arm and several smaller arms, knocking his gun out of his hand. Tanaka cannot phase through Robin's flesh, and so cannot do anything against her. Sanji then activates Diable Jambe and barrages Tanaka's face with kicks, sending him flying far away. Baccarat prepares to finish off Chopper and Brook and flicks her coin at them, but suddenly Usopp flings a giant ball at her.
The ball intercepts the coin but misses Baccarat, and she laughs, but Usopp fires a Midori Boshi: Dokuro Bakuhatsu So at her. The shot makes contact and injures Baccarat, leaving her bewildered that her luck ran out. However, Usopp's first shot opens up to reveal a slot machine that Baccarat's coin had won the jackpot on, meaning that her luck had been completely spent.
Dice strikes Zoro with his swords, but to the former's shock, Zoro counters them with only his Haki-imbued arms. Zoro says that the swords alone cannot bring him down, and he uses Tatsu Maki to send Dice flying away in a whirlwind. Dice spins toward Zoro at a high speed, but Zoro reclaims one of his swords and uses Shishi Sonson, causing Dice's armor to crack up and Dice to fall to the ground, defeated though happy.
However, an alarm starts beeping on Gran Tesoro, and monitors come up showing a countdown. Carina reveals that the ship is going to sink and tells everyone to escape and she decides to stay behind, wanting to continue luring the Marines to Gran Tesoro. She and Nami embrace, and Franky takes Nami away as the timer continues ticking.
The pirates, Marines, and citizens all stand and watch on their ships as the timer reaches zero. When it does, however, fireworks explode over the Gran Tesoro. The Straw Hats look and see Carina standing on the top of it as Gran Tesoro sails away, and they realize that she has duped them to gain access to its riches.
However, they laugh it away and are forced to retreat when the Marines start firing at them. As they do so, Nami finds a letter on her person from Carina with encouraging words toward her and it is revealed that Nami did not leave completely empty-handed, as she managed to swipe Tesoro's gold rings off of him. The Sunny continues sailing as it is pursued by the Marines.
"So, you upgraded Kurama's chakra cloak?"
"Yeah… Something happened and we had to work together and merge chakra." Naruto S explained before another portal appeared at the mast.
"Well, maybe I'll see you later," Naruto replied running in.
