Chapter LXIX: The Ninja-verse V.
Last Time.
Dice strikes Zoro with his swords, but to the former's shock, Zoro counters them with only his Haki-imbued arms. Zoro says that the swords alone cannot bring him down, and he uses Tatsu Maki to send Dice flying away in a whirlwind. Dice spins toward Zoro at a high speed, but Zoro reclaims one of his swords and uses Shishi Sonson, causing Dice's armor to crack up and Dice to fall to the ground, defeated though happy.
However, an alarm starts beeping on Gran Tesoro, and monitors come up showing a countdown. Carina reveals that the ship is going to sink and tells everyone to escape and she decides to stay behind, wanting to continue luring the Marines to Gran Tesoro. She and Nami embrace, and Franky takes Nami away as the timer continues ticking.
The pirates, Marines, and citizens all stand and watch on their ships as the timer reaches zero. When it does, however, fireworks explode over the Gran Tesoro. The Straw Hats look and see Carina standing on the top of it as Gran Tesoro sails away, and they realize that she has duped them to gain access to its riches.
However, they laugh it away and are forced to retreat when the Marines start firing at them. As they do so, Nami finds a letter on her person from Carina with encouraging words toward her and it is revealed that Nami did not leave completely empty-handed, as she managed to swipe Tesoro's gold rings off of him. The Sunny continues sailing as it is pursued by the Marines.
"So, you upgraded Kurama's chakra cloak?"
"Yeah… Something happened and we had to work together and merge chakra." Naruto S explained before another portal appeared at the mast.
"Well, maybe I'll see you later," Naruto replied running in.
Now.
Earth-1048 New York October 2018, Evening.
Spider-Man dropped down on a rooftop overlooking a shipping warehouse. He's slightly above-average height, with a lean but muscular build, and standing 5'10". His costume looks like athletic wear and compression clothing. The suit retains the red and blue color scheme, it features a large white spider on the chest and back instead of black.
The spider has long legs and ends at the thin blue piping of the suit. He also has the same white armor on top of his hands and thin ones along the arm with some white on the vital parts of his body. The shoes have also been modernized, now featuring a sneaker-style design.
The eyes narrowed as he did inside before looking to his right as Shinobi rolled out of a portal. "Sup?"
"Shinobi?"
"Ah, I see my counterpart has the same costume. Long story short, Goblin's going across dimensions."
"Who's the Goblin?"
"How old are you?" Naruto asked Spider-Man.
"Twenty-three."
"Well, that's strange," Naruto said before looking down to see bikers with guns. "Who are you dealing with?"
"Tombstone."
"I don't know him but you just started in my universe."
"Let's do this quietly," Spider-Man said as Naruto nodded.
They jumped over and Naruto created clones that took out each man before they dropped down at a box truck. Spider-Man looked at a yellow barrel before speaking. "This looks like the chemical that Tombstone was exposed to when he was a kid… He can't be hurt easily and feels no pain."
Naruto turned as he heard motorcycles before seeing three men ride up, get off, and take an inhaler with a mask on. They took a hit and they gained slightly more muscles and turned gray.
Naruto ran to one and punched him only for nothing to happen. He then ducked as a motorcycle hit the man into a wall, having him change back and knocked out. They then fought the other men until the effects wore off and knocked them out. Spider-Man then took the inhaler and Naruto saw him scan the chemical and synthesize an antidote.
"That should do it."
Later, the duo dropped by a mechanic shop where they saw a tall muscular bald man with gray skin in biker's clothing drinking from a cup. "The angry drug lord drinks alone… There's a poem in there somewhere." Spider-Man said, having Tombstone chuckle.
"You'd know better than me." Finishing his cup, Tombstone turned.
And was hit with a Rasengan (Spiraling Sphere) into the wall and through it. Spider-Man swung over and had Tombstone take a hit off the inhaler before Naruto ran over and hit Tombstone with another attack before seeing a small trail of blood seep out of his mouth and knock out.
Later, they went to ESU that's decorated for Halloween after Spider-Man told him there was a villain that started after beating Kingpin. They walked in and Spider-Man showed Naruto a picture of three people one dressed like the Lizard, one like a villain Spider-Man beat when Naruto arrived Mysterio, and another a bald vulture man.
While walking, Naruto passed by a shirtless man who had on a Spider-Man mask before passing a woman dressed like a cheerleader who buzzed and flashed him. He looked up to see the Vulture person on a balcony before jumping up. "I'm looking for Issac Delaney."
"I think he's on the dance floor… There, he's the lizard in a lab coat."
Naruto looked down at the building and saw the man dancing before seeing Spider-Man walk out of a mirror maze and then motion for him.
When getting to the floor, a man dressed like a rhino stopped them, having two men in black suits and black and white demon masks take Issac inside. After webbing the man up, the two jumped up on the second floor and walked into a large vent. They came to a waiting area and saw more of the masked men with people sitting on a couch.
Naruto then noticed one man having two energy whips that looked like photo negatives. One young man thinking it was a prank stood up, only for one man to hit him and hold a gun to his head before the heroes dropped down.
Naruto dodged the whips before kneeing the man, breaking the mask and knocking him out as Spider-Man pulled the gun away via a web. He then jumped up and quickly shot webbing hitting the other men to the walls, "Everyone alright?" Spider-Man asked, having them nod. "Good! Oh, happy Halloween."
The two jumped up in the vent and heard two men talk through the openings. "What was that noise next door?"
"I don't know. Cover the door, shoot whatever comes through it."
Spider-Man then saw a breaker before speaking. "How about some mood lighting?" He hit it with electric webs having the men below him speak.
"What happened?"
"I don't know… Just watch that door!"
The two dropped as Naruto ran around using his night vision to knock the men out. "Now, where'd they take Delaney?" He asked before they heard Delaney at the door on the other end.
They went to a window and walked along the decorated wall following the doctor and masked man to another room before they went up in a vent and saw the server room. Naruto watched as an Asian man walked up in a black suit.
"Who... who are you?"
"You recently began working with someone at an Oscorp lab." The man asked the doctor.
"H-how do you know that?" Delaney asked him
"We don't have much time, Isaac. Tell me his name." He then started glowing like a photo negative and reached for the doctor.
Delaney then glowed as well before Spider-Man and Naruto dropped down. "Show's over Li." Li grinned as he grabbed two of his men and sucked energy from them before they collapsed "Apparently the show's not over."
Li then fired energy at them pushing the two back before he fell on his knees "His... Name…" He panted as the doctor spoke.
"Doctor Morgan Michaels."
"Thank you," Li said before giving him a pistol that he used to shoot himself.
"No!"
Li ran out as more men ran in including a rather muscular one before Naruto and Spider-Man attacked the group. Naruto hit the muscular man into a server, having the lights flicker as Spider-Man took out the other men.
"That's all of them. Gotta fund Li!" They ran outside and saw several students glowing before jogging over. "Gotta stop them from hurting each other. You'll be okay later... What did Li do to these people?" He asked as Naruto looked over.
"He not a regular?"
"No, Martian's a humanitarian… I don't know why he's doing this." After Naruto chopped the people's necks, they saw the rhino student before Spider-Man jumped up and webbed his arms before directing him to the entrance and then flipped him over, knocking him out. "If it helps… I felt bad doing that. Apologies."
Spider-Man then put a hand to his ear. "Yuri. I need your help."
"I've got reports of shots fired at ESU-"
Spider-Man nodded at that. "Yeah, that's me. I'll explain later. But right now you need to find a Dr. Morgan Michaels. Martin Li's coming after him."
"Copy that," Yuri said and after several minutes, she spoke up again. "Spider-Man... who is this Dr. Michaels?"
"I think he's the head scientist on this Devil's Breath project. Did you find him?"
"Yes and no. Sable says they have him under protection at a safe house somewhere in the city. But they won't tell me where."
"I thought you guys were working together?" Spider-Man asked, shaking his head.
"So did I."
"OK. I have an idea of how to find him. I'll let you know if it works."
Naruto looked to see a portal before looking back. "Wish I could stay, but there's a villain I gotta beat."
He then ran and jumped in as Spider-Man swung off.
Earth 12, Watchtower Above Earth.
A Naruto in his early twenties looked at his mirror to check out his new attire. He's wearing a black uniform-style jacket with an orange zipper that has several buttons on the waist and sleeves, dark orange pants, and black boots. He picked up a new red trench coat without a hood before pulling a mask that covered the bottom part of his face, and his quiver.
He turned and saw a woman with long black hair and blue eyes with fair skin in a new costume. She has silver trim armor on her costume. She's wearing a red bustier with an Eagle, and star in the medal, and star outlines stitched on the sides. She has an armband on her left shoulder in the shape of two Ws. As well as a choker shaped like two 'W's', tight dark blue pants, also with outlines of stars on the legs, and dark blue boots with silver trim.
"I like your new armor, Diana. It accentuates your... lower figure. Gonna need to thank Hephaestus, when I ever get the chance to meet him, that is." He said as she fixed her armband, her back to him.
"What do you mean, 'lower figure'?" She asked before gasping as Naruto grabbed her ass, and kissed her collarbone.
She moaned, smiling while raking her hand through his hair.
A few moments later, Wonder Woman walked out, picked up a large generator over her head, and walked down the hall. Naruto followed after her and watched her swaying ass as they walked. He looked at the new larger rooms and halls of the Watchtower.
He saw a young woman with fair skin and blonde hair, flying by them. She's wearing a blue armored long-sleeved unitard that's red on the bottom, a new shield design of the House of El, a long red cape, and red knee-high boots.
Kage and Wonder Woman stopped in the middle of the Watchtower where a man and a martian stood, while two men were outside working on the exterior of the Tower.
The man's wearing a tri-weave bodysuit consisting of a basic skintight tear-proof bodysuit, and separate movable layers of armor plating. Over the titanium fiber mesh lies a reinforced carbon fiber material which is divided into separate pieces. He has a bat symbol on the chest and is separated with carbon fiber armor plating. He's wearing a cowl with an outer layer of a strong carbon fiber-like material that looks like they separate into multiple segments.
The Martian is a tall, green-skinned humanoid. His head is completely bald. His costume is primarily black, with red accents, and a large red belt and x-shaped straps across his chest. He always wears a blue cape that is fastened by gold clips
One is an African-American who has his hair in a short buzz cut, and is growing a goatee. He's wearing a black and green uniform with a lantern symbol on his chest and a green ring on his right hand.
The other is a muscular Caucasian with black hair and a curl, and blue eyes now wearing an armored dark blue suit and red trunks and boots.
Naruto saw Wonder Woman walk to the new teleportation room and dropped the generator onto the floor. He saw a man on the monitor in Hawaii eating a large pretzel. He's wearing a dark red armored suit with gold lightning bolt accents and a cowl.
"You know... The work would go by a lot faster if I was up there with you guys." Flash said, taking a bite of his pretzel.
"Patience. I'm almost ready for you." Batman said before putting the remote on a stand.
"How much is all this costing, Bruce?" Wonder Woman asked as Batman pressed a couple of buttons.
"I don't like to think about it."
"Okay, Flash, I'm ready for you. Testing now." Flash stared blankly before speaking.
"I don't know Bats... You're sure this thing works?" Batman pressed the large red button on the board.
"Pretty sure."
Flash's eyes widened before speaking. "Pretty sure?! That isn't-!" Flash disappeared from the screen and reappeared on the ramp. "Good enough."
Batman walked over and took Flash's pretzel. "Teleporter's online," Batman said, walking away and taking a bite.
"Are you crazy?! Is he crazy?! How could he use that thing on me if he wasn't sure?!" Flash asked as
J'onn walked up to them. "He was joking," J'onn said as Flash stared at him.
"Oh yeah? How can you tell?"
"He wouldn't use it if he wasn't sure, Wally. Do you think he would risk your life?" Diana asked as Naruto held her by her waist.
"You sure? Because I don't think he likes me." Flash said before J'onn spoke up. "I don't think he likes anybody."
Crack!
The wind picked up as a portal formed by the teleporter before Shinobi ran out. "Ha! Didn't fall this ti-!" Naruto stopped as Wonder Woman punched him, knocking him to the ground.

Later, Naruto woke up holding his head. "What the hell hit me? Felt like I got hit by Jen."
"Who are you?"
Naruto turned to see him and the other heroes. "Naruto, I'm not a shapeshifter if that's what you're thinking. That punch should have tipped you off when I didn't change back." He said, rubbing his jaw.
"What are you doing here?" Batman asked as Naruto looked at him.
"Different dimensions… Is that your costume?"
Star City.
Shinobi and Kage were walking around Star City in search of a hero called Green Arrow but no luck so far in finding him. After explaining why he's in the dimension, Naruto decided on helping his counterpart's team out by building up their roster until he can get another portal.
They soon walked towards a convenience store to get a little snack before continuing and saw a group of masked men on the floor as another man in a Robin Hood-themed costume with a large green quiver and recurve bow with blonde hair, and a mustache goatee combo. He's wearing a domino mask, and dark green shoulder-length gloves with square holes on them.
The Emerald Archer was helping a woman up as a masked man stood up, and aimed a pistol at him. Naruto D quickly pulled out a kunai and threw it toward the assailant's gun before coming in close to knocking the man out. The archer quickly turned around and aimed at the Narutos with a dull-tipped green arrow as Naruto did the same with his bow. "Well, well... If it isn't the copycat, Kage... Don't you have a Universe to save?"
"We haven't gotten your reply Green Arrow," Naruto D said, folding his bow and putting it on his quiver.
"Been busy. Someone has to watch out for the folks down here..." Naruto D tuned him out as he put a hand to his ear.
"Bring us up." Both Narutos and Green Arrow disappeared in bright light.
The Watchtower.
At a pad in the main room of the tower, two pillars of light appeared to reveal Shinobi, Kage, and Green Arrow in front of where the others were waiting. ".. Grandstanding..." Green Arrow trailed off as Superman walked over to them.
"Welcome."
Green Arrow looked around and saw hundreds of Heroes walking around.
Later, Superman walked onto a platform and cleared his throat before addressing the heroes looking up at him. "Each of you brings something different to the table... Strength, speed, stealth, and whatever else." Naruto crossed his arms as he stood in between with his counterpart who was standing beside two women from their world, Anko Mitarashi and Mei Terumi, or Snake, and Mist.
Anko's wearing a biker-themed costume with a domino mask, black boots, blue jeans, fingerless gloves, and her mesh shirt under a purple leather jacket, while Mei had on an Anbu mask.
"But we're all equal in one way... Each of us is willing to make the sacrifices a Hero is willing to make. Even the ultimate one." Superman looked at each one before continuing. "Since there's so many of us. We can do more than put out fires. Both literally and figuratively. We can do so much good in the World. But we're going to have to be organized. J'onn." He pointed up to J'onn who was on a platform above him, and continued.
"He'll be up here deciding who'll go where, and when. I know a lot of you are used to doing that yourself. But from now on. We'll have to be more coordinated than that. We can't be cowboys anymore... Or cowgirls." Several female heroes chuckled at that.
After things had settled down and the crowd dispersed, Naruto and Naruto D, and Green Lantern were talking to J'onn as he showed them a nuclear explosion in Chong-Mai.
"The odd thing is; it's moving in a straight line," J'onn said as the image of it moved.
"Well, we can take Captain Atom to try and absorb it," Naruto D said looking at a man in a silver containment suit with an atom on his chest, red gloves, and boots talking to Vixen. "And we can use more help for any crowd control."
Green Lantern finished as J'onn spoke up. "Supergirl's been up here for a while now." Naruto D nodded as he and Green walked to the hangar they brought Captain Atom, and Supergirl to speed.
As they got to the hangar, they saw multiple jets flying out, and as civilians directed them to each hanger door or docking area.
"Hey! Hang on, you're not leaving me up here on Mount Olympus!"
Green Lantern looked back to see Green Arrow running to them.
"You can leave the way we came." Green Lantern said, making Green Arrow shake his head.
"No way is someone playing pinball with my molecules again." They continued walking before Green Lantern replied.
"We'll drop you off after our mission."
While the others were walking up the ramp into the Javelin for the mission, Supergirl saw Kage hanging back and was curious about why he wasn't coming with. With that, she walked back to ask him about that.
"So Naruto, any reason why you aren't climbing aboard?" Kara asked, getting Naruto to respond.
"Well, I'm not going on this one, Kara."
"Why not?" She asked.
"Well, I know we talked about that you didn't want me to 'figuratively' hold your hand on a lot of missions, and me tagging along on this one would count as such. So I think this could be good to see how well you could do without me, honey. Plus that counterpart wants something to do while waiting for the portal to come here." He said as he gave her a chaste kiss with her nodding on that logic.
"So what are you going to do while I'm gone?" Kara asked.
"I'm probably going to help J'onn out on monitor duty for a while to at least get that out of the way instead of having the shift later. After that, I'll probably hit the gym to make up for not coming along."
Naruto said as he saw Kara walk up the ramp before it closed up, getting Naruto to head to the safety area so he won't get sucked into space.
As the group traveled, Green Arrow looked at Atom. "That a containment suit?"
"Uh-huh, I'm not flesh and blood anymore. Just living energy."
"That wouldn't be nuclear energy, would it?"
"With a name like Captain Atom, what do you think?"
"I think you're what I marched against back in college," Arrow said leaning back as Naruto glanced over.
"My girl has gamma radiation… But that was because her cousin who had it saved her life with a blood transfusion."
Later, they landed on a hill and saw a destroyed field. "Looks like we missed the party," Naruto said looking around.
"We'll recon. If you see anything, don't try to engage." Lantern said looking back as Atom stood at attention.
"Roger that."
"Uh, you can just say OK."
"OK." Atom nodded as Naruto looked around.
"Hey!"
Green Arrow who stood at the Javelin yelled out as military men fired at them with rockets. Lantern then used his ring to create a green shield for them as each rocket hit it before Atom spoke.
"The State Department sure was right about them not liking foreigners."
"It's crazy. No reason for it."
"I'll give them a reason," Supergirl said as Lantern looked back while Arrow ran up.
"Kara! We came here to help them, not to fight."
"So you're just gonna stand there until they run out of RPGs? If this radiation thing's as bad as it looks, there's a lot of people out there who are gonna get fried." Arrow said to Lantern before Lantern created a large plow and pushed the men back.
He then used his ring's energy to take their weapons as a helicopter landed by them. General walked out and up to them. "My apologies for the fireworks. Colonel Kim here was just a farmer before the revolution. He doesn't know who you are. I'm General Kwan. Most flattered that the Justice League has honored us with your presence. But I must ask why."
"You had some kind of nuclear accident," Naruto asked looking at Kwan.
"A minor problem. Fully under control."
"If it's all the same to you-"
"It's fully under control if it's all the same to you," Kwan said as Kara stepped forward.
"Listen, we came a long way to help, and-"
"Your help is not needed here. Thank you for coming. Now, goodbye."
Later, Lantern was talking to J'onn via a monitor on the Javelin. "I'm telling you, J'onn, it took all the restraint I had not to part that guy's hair with my ring."
"You did the right thing, but the problem is not under control. It's getting worse."
"Don't you get it?"
Lantern turned to see Arrow walking in. "They don't want anyone to find out about it. And they don't care how many of their people they have to lose to keep it quiet."
"This isn't your concern," Lantern said, having Arrow leave before turning back to J'onn. "He does have a point. Maybe we should go back and-"
"No, we can't just do whatever we want." J'onn interrupted. "We have to respect the government's wishes no matter what we might think of their policies."
"Lantern, Green Arrow's gone." Supergirl ran up followed by Atom.
"And so is the Geiger counter."
Up ahead, Arrow sees Kwan's forces evacuating peasants across a bridge. When a truck spins out of control, Arrow helps save the driver. Angrily, Kwan insists that everything is under control – then a gigantic nuclear-powered robot appears, spraying destruction everywhere.
The rest of the team arrives. Captain Atom attempts to absorb the robot's energy, but there is too much for him to handle. Likewise, the robot is too strong for Supergirl, and Lantern is seriously injured. Naruto ran down to catch her before seeing Lantern get hit before the robot left.
The team finds a group of the country's scientists, who admit that they built the robot "to protect us from the foreigners" but they lost control. They have carbon rods that will disable the robot's reactor, but they have to be inserted into a cavity in its chest.
Captain Atom takes the rods and says he has to try, even though the heat from the reactor may destroy him. On his attempt, the heat ruptures his containment suit, and he has to fly into the atmosphere, where there is an explosion of energy.
Enraged, Supergirl flies at the robot but is unable to stop it. Green Arrow picks up the remaining three rods and tries to shoot them into the cavity with his bow, but misses twice. "Try tying them to your arrow!" Naruto yelled out.
Breaking the last rod into pieces, he lashes a piece to the end of an arrow and makes the shot. The robot shuts down, and Supergirl demolishes it.
Watchtower.
"You sure he's gonna be okay?"
Naruto asked, Lantern seeing Atom being refilled. "He should be. J'onn's team picked him up right after it happened, so he didn't lose much of his energy."
"At least he got a new suit out of it."
The showers, Naruto D walked out of a shower after a long shift of helping J'onn on his station while directing others to several missions on the very first day. Once it got to a certain point, he had come across Wildcat and asked if he would like to have a spar without any of his abilities. The cat-themed boxer agreed and the two headed towards the holographic training area so the two could have a proper match.
It came to a tie in the end with the two slightly bruised with how far they went before things got out of hand. Wildcat soon asked if they could do this again sometime before he left since the boxer rarely has any good matches ever since his boxing retirement. He soon glanced to the side and saw Oliver coming out of the opposite stall of the showers.
Naruto soon asked how the mission went and Green Arrow told him details of what happened. The Chong-Mai government had created a large, radioactive robot to help protect its borders but there was a malfunction in its programming that it started to attack everyone. In the end, Arrow saved the day by shooting a cooling rod into the giant mech at the opening in its chest to get it to stop functioning before Supergirl punched its head off.
Captain Atom got his suit punctured but was safely transported in time to get it patched up. Green Lantern took a major beating and he would have to be in medical treatment for a while until his body is up and ready for upcoming missions. With the archer, he got several burns that were treatable but he would have to take cold showers for a while after what he had to deal with.
Supergirl though was exhausted since she could only handle so much radioactivity before it started affecting her. "You should know Oliver, one reason we asked you to join is because someone like you will help keep us honest," Naruto said as Oliver turned his head and kept on staring for some reason. Naruto looked towards where Oliver was peering and saw the reason being Black Canary sitting on a bench putting on ankle-high boots.
Dinah Lance has long, blonde-haired with blue eyes and red lipstick. She wasn't wearing her signature jean jacket but it was placed right beside her. The rest of her attire consisted of a dark blue unitard and choker with dark stockings.
"Being a part of a team does have its advantages," Naruto said, getting Oliver to think things through before Naruto saw Supergirl walk by him without her cape.
"See you all later," Naruto said to his counterpart as a portal appeared, and went through it.
Earth-16 Blüdhaven December 1, 2015, 08:16 EST.
A young Caucasian man yawned as he looked at his laptop that was sitting on a desk where a Skype of a young redhead Caucasian man and Blonde haired Caucasian woman was on. Dick has grown considerably taller, roughly the same height as Bruce, and as well-muscled. His hair is just past his ears. He's wearing a white sleeveless shirt and black pajama pants.
"Happy Birthday!" Dick smiled at the screen.
"Thanks! What are you two doing? It's like five in the morning there." Dick said as Stephanie smiled.
"I'm always up this early. Naruto got us up for training and breakfast before going to the Cave. It just stuck with me."
Wally sheepishly smiled at that. "And I'm cramming for a test."
"Dick? Who are you talking to?"
Dick looked back to see an orange-skinned young woman with long red hair in a purple bra and lace panties. She has an hourglass figure, her hair reaches her ass, and her breasts are D-cup.
"Holy shi-!"
Dick closed the laptop as Stephanie slapped Wally upside the head for ogling. "Hey, Star. I didn't mean to wake you." Dick said as he got up.
"That's alright. Happy Birthday."
Dick smirked at that before speaking. "No more, 'Day of the Birth', Star?" Her eyebrow twitched at the jab of how she used to talk.
"Yeah. Keep it up, Mr. 'Aster," She said while wrapping her arms around his neck, just as he wrapped his around her waist.
Mount Justice December 1, 08:30 EST.

"Recognized: Kage, 17."
A Naruto walked inside a cave hideout in a costume. It's a black costume composed of a Kevlar hooded vest with a leather appearance and pants. He has pauldrons with canisters on them and elbow-length fingerless gloves and boots.
He removed his hood showing that his hair is much shorter and spikier. Taking off his glasses, Naruto looked at the Team. He smiled as he thought of the new members the Team has gained and lost over the years before looking back.
He looked at Nightwing, his uniform is a black unitard, black shoulder pads, boots, and gloves. The chest area of his uniform is emblazoned with a blue bird with its wings expanded and his abdomen area is colored in a lighter gray. He's wearing a black utility belt and carries his Eskrima sticks in a holster on the side of his right leg.
Naruto looked to the next two members of the recently dubbed, 'Bat Family.' Barbara Gordon A.K.A. Batgirl and Tim Drake, the new Robin.
Barbara has a slender and fairly muscular build. She's wearing a dark gray form-fitting costume with a black bat symbol, and black padding at the abdomen and lower back. She also has black boots, gloves, and a black cape and cowl. And a yellow utility belt.
Tim is a young teenage male with a muscular build and short black hair. His attire is similar yet distinguished from Dick's old costume, in that he wears a red and black suit with a stylized yellow 'R' symbol on the left side of his chest. The suit covers Robin's entire arm.
He also has black gloves and a black cape, with the inside being yellow and having a shape similar to Batman's cape. He covers his eyes with a black domino mask.
'For someone who's always preferred to work alone, Bruce sure has a lot of proteges.' Naruto thought before looking at Superboy and his daughter.
Conner hasn't changed much except growing to 6'1 and his hair has grown a little and is a little messy. He's wearing a long-sleeved variation on his traditional black shirt with a red S-shield and fingerless gloves.
His daughter has grown to be 5'10 and has a muscular build like her mother. Her hair is now mid-back and she swapped out her costume for a black sleeveless shirt and pants with stars covering them. She still has her silver wrist protectors and earrings.
"Hello, Donna." Naruto greeted having her wave back with a smile.
Naruto looked to see a teenage girl, who's Diana's new protege and has taken the mantle of 'Wonder Girl'. Wonder Girl has a slender yet muscular build with blue eyes and blonde hair with unkempt bangs. Her hair is long, running down her back, and she has a black headband.
She's wearing a black sleeveless top with two stylized golden 'Ws on it. She has red pants with two white stripes on the sides and blue shoes. Like Wonder Woman, she wears two silver bracelets and silver star earrings, and a golden lasso that hangs at her waist.
Naruto looked to see La'gann standing beside her who hasn't changed much other than growing taller.
Naruto saw Mal standing beside Karen. She now has her hair in a pixie haircut with a sweeping bang. She's wearing a black and yellow costume that resembles a bumblebee.
Naruto saw Wolf sleeping before walking to Miss Martian and Garfield. She's wearing her stealth outfit and has short hair.
"Hey, Gar," Naruto said as he looked down at his adoptive little brother.
After an incident, Naruto brought Marie and her son Garfield to live with them in Gotham. He has a pale green complexion with green eyes and dark green hair.
He's in a simian-like form, having dark green fur and a prehensile monkey tail in proportion to his size. He's wearing a red and white single-piece uniform.
Naruto noticed Miss Martian look away from him causing him to frown before looking at the Team. His train of thought was interrupted as the Zeta-Tube lit up.
"Recognized: Rocket, 27. Zatanna, 26."
Zatanna is a Caucasian woman, sporting a curvaceous frame. Her mission attire is a female magician, showing her cleavage and her hair is wavy with strands hanging over her ears to frame her face.
Rocket is an African American with a curvaceous frame. She has short spiky black hair and is wearing a form fitting blue shirt that includes a partial hood that covers her cheeks and forehead. Over this, she has brown coveralls and her belt, which is red and has three blue glowing circles on it. The belt is kept in place by black straps on her thighs. She also has black knee pads. She has three silver hoop earrings on her right ear and two on her left ear.
"Justice Leaguers in the house! You girls forget to Zeta to the Watchtower?" Mal asked while looking back as Naruto walked forward and pulled Zatanna in for a kiss.
Naruto pulled back and saw a tribal seal peeking out from her shoulder. He leaned his forehead against hers, remembering when he started giving his family seals to protect them from any mental attacks.
He notices her glare at Miss Martian before sighing. "Hey, now. It's alright, Zatanna." He immediately regretted speaking as she glared at him.
"Are you telling me it's fine that she tried to use her powers on you to make you forget?! If you didn't get the seals done in time!"
Naruto sighed, remembering breaking up with M'gann over the summer after she's been turning people into vegetables after using her mental powers on them to force information out of their minds. "No, I'm not saying that, Zatanna. But now's not the time to worry about that."
She huffed before walking to Nightwing and kissed him on the cheek as did Rocket. "Happy Birthday. Now, we do need to get to the Watchtower."
Naruto walked to Rocket and smiled at her. "Congratulations. On both becoming a League member and the engagement." She smiled before leaving as Naruto walked to the Team and spoke up. "OK! Mission time. I'll be leading Alpha while M'gann will lead Beta. Wonder Girl will be with me while Batgirl, Superboy, Troia, Beast Boy, and Lagoon Boy will be with M'gann." Naruto noticed Miss Martian's eyes widened at him giving her leadership of the Team.
Crack!
A portal appeared having Shinobi fall out and land on his feet. He stood and rolled his neck seeing the others looking at him before taking his mask off. "Not here to hurt you."
"Who are you?" Batgirl asked as Naruto explained what happened.
"Can you help us?" Naruto Y asked his counterpart who shrugged.
"Sure."
"Beta will watch Noor Harjavti. This rally is for her fundraiser. Ever since her Father's assassination, she's the only voice speaking out against Queen Bee. And she'll stop at nothing to stop her as well. Robin, Batman needs your help in Gotham. Nightwing, do you want in on either mission? I know you haven't been out of the cave ever sin-!" He was interrupted by Nightwing who walked away.
"I'll help you and Alpha out."
Naruto sighed as the Teams left. "M'gann," Naruto called out as Miss Martian stopped behind him. "Be careful. You have my kunai if you need me. And you'll be in Metropolis, so Superman will be there to cover the event." She looked down before nodding. "And M'gann."
"Yes." She answered before Naruto turned around.
"You still keep the mind protection seal on you as well? I don't know if real tattoos stay on you." She nodded as she had the hair above her neck dissolve showing the seal. "Yes. I'm still surprised you did that." Naruto sighed as he crossed his arms.
"M'gann. The entire Team has it. Even after our breakup... You are still a Team member and I will protect you with my life." Miss Martian turned around and looked down sadly as she left.
Metropolis December 1, 09:50 EST.
Megan, wearing black pants and a pink shirt, looked to see Conner wearing a leather jacket.
Beside him is Donna wearing a blue trench coat coming down to her shins. She looked to a tree and saw Beast Boy as a green bird with his costume as a collar.
"Psychic link is up. Confirm status."
"Superboy, ready."
Karen looked back, wearing a brown jacket and orange shirt. "Bumblebee, ready."
Barbara kept an eye on the crowd wearing a black jacket and black jeans with her hair in a ponytail. "Batgirl, ready."
"Troia, ready." Megan nodded before hearing another voice.
"Lagoon boy..." She heard from above where the Bio-Ship hovered in camouflage mode. "Ready and bored." She sighed before speaking.
"La'gann. You would draw too much attention. But you're our backup in case anything happens."
"Whoa, what the hell is this?" Naruto asked, holding his head.
"Link, we can talk via our minds so our radio won't get hacked in important missions."
El Paso December 1, 07:50 MST.
Kage flew in the Supercycle with Nightwing and Wonder Girl. "Let Star know that she can come back after she finishes with her finals," Naruto said to Nightwing who nodded.
"Hey, Boss, I just want you to know I'm pretty psyched that you chose me to be on Alpha Squad with you, Nightwing, and Sphere." Sphere beeped before Wonder Girl continued. "Or am I not supposed to admit that?"
"It's okay to be excited, Cass. You should have seen Dick and Wally when the Team was founded." Naruto said as they closed in on a town. "Besides... You're the right girl for this. Who better than our newest recruit... to help me recruit the next member of the Team?"
Naruto took off his vest and put on a red shirt as Wonder Girl put a gray coat over her shirt. Nightwing took off his mask and put on jeans, a black shirt under a blue button shirt, and sunglasses and stood on top of the high school.
"So, what do we know about this new Beetle?" Cassie asked as Naruto looked down.
"A lot. And very little. He's had to contact Peacemaker, Atom, and Guy Gardner. They all say he's a decent kid." Cassie looked shocked at that.
"Gardner too?! He doesn't like anyone!"
"I know, it shocked me as well," Dick said before Naruto continued.
"He also doesn't have a mentor since the previous Blue Beetle was murdered when he was going past his lab. And he found the Scarab that gives him the armor. He mostly just uses it to fly around. And he still manages to be late for school."
A few minutes later a teen in a blue full bodysuit, that looks like an insect flew down with large wings before it receded into his back, revealing himself as a teenage Hispanic male with light brown skin, short black hair, and brown eyes. He has a thin but fit frame. He's wearing a gray jacket over a black shirt and brown pants with white sneakers.
"There's Reyes. Go say hello, Cass." Naruto said as Cassie flew down and stopped in front of Jaime as he started walking on the steps.
"Hey, Jaime."
Jaime looked back and stared in confusion. "Hey... You." Cassie smiled as she walked to him.
"Can we talk?"
Jamie blinked at that. "Well... We're late for school, you know."
"It's about Blue Beetle." Jaime's eyes widened at that as he started backing up. "Whoa, wait, we just want to talk." Jaime continued backing up until he hit something.
"Wait... We?"
He turned to see both Naruto and Dick. "'We' just might be your new friends."
Metropolis December 1 10:18 EST.
Beta Squad kept an eye out for anything as Noor talked on the stage. Conner looked to see that man that looked similar to him stopped by them with a young man. Suddenly, a tall, very muscular woman walked through the crowd in a suit as M'gann gave the order to get ready for the attack.
As soon as the Team started to take off their jackets and a man in a blue suit with a red shield with an S started flying in.
Suddenly Superman, Conner, and Donna disappeared in a flash of gold light. Megan put a hand to her ear before calling the Cave. "Beta Squad to Cave. Superboy and Troia just disappeared. They're outside the range of my link and our radios. As well as Superman and Devastation!"
After a moment, Mal spoke up. "It's bigger than that, M'gann. Conferencing with the Tower and Alpha Squad."
After finding out several Leaguers and Villains have been disappearing, she heard Naruto Y speak up. "Miss Martian. Naruto B Meet up with me in the Bio-Ship. We're now Gamma Squad. Batgirl, you'll be in charge of Beta, Noor still needs to be protected. Lagoon Boy, I'll fix another watch for you soon, but stay out of sight until something else happens."
"Fuck you." Naruto popped up at the B comment.
The Moon December 1, 15:31 UTC.
Superboy woke up to see he was inside a crystal along with the villains the Team has faced over the years and several League members including Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel, and Captain Atom. Looking ahead, he saw Mary Marvel now in a young adult woman's body with her hair reaching her lower back.
He groaned as he heard screeching in his head as a crystal ball floated in front of him. "I can't... Think." He groaned before hearing both Marvel's yell.
"SHAZAM/SHAZAM!"
Two bolts of lightning hit them, showing a teenage Billy and Mary wearing red shirts and jeans.
Atom smiled before going into his human form, didn't hear the screech, and broke through his crystal prison. He broke Billy and Mary out as well as the heroes before they broke out the villains. Troia saw the Terror Twins and saw that Tommy became very muscular and grew taller.
Tuppence gained a little more muscle and is wearing tight shorts in place of her skirt
The Bio-Ship December 1, 10:50 EST.
"So, are we just going to ignore each other now?"
Miss Martian asked as Kage looked out the window while Shinobi, sensing the mood, put on headphones to listen to music. "I guess. You've not been interested in talking things out as of late." Naruto Y replied as he stared at the moon.
"Look, you broke up with me because you don't like the way I use my powers."
Naruto Y sighed at that. "The way you abuse your powers."
"I'm not doing anything they don't deserve!"
Naruto Y sighed at that before turning around. "Did I ever tell you about the time we were called to help out in another dimension?" He asked, making her blink.
"The Lords? Yes. They were an evil version of the League."
Naruto Y shook his head at that. "No... They started to kill after Lex became president and was responsible for Flash's death. My counterpart fought against that. Superman attacked him and tore his arm off as well as left him with scars that didn't heal. They tried to come here and lobotomized several criminals that stole food for their families because they, quote, 'Deserve it. They'll be the next supervillain'."
"The entire planet was afraid of them. We had to make a deal with Lex to make a weapon that would utilize our weaknesses to do so. Now, he did give it back to us and because we had him build it in S.T.A.R. Labs everything was destroyed and he can't make the weapon again, but he knows a way to beat us if he can get his hands on any of the materials he used before."
"If that's the way you feel, then why not tell my uncle? Or the League?" She asked as he dropped his head.
"I thought your love for me was stronger than that. But once you got caught... You tried to do the same to me. How can I ever trust you again, M'gann? After this is finished, I want to show you something." He finished as he turned back around, just missing M'gann shedding regretful tears.
Metropolis December 1, 13:45 EST.
Nightwing, Wonder Girl, and Blue Beetle flew down to see a large force field covering the City as Zatanna tried using spells on it in hopes of dispelling it. They landed and walked up to it. "Any luck?" Zatanna shook her head.
"No, and radio signals aren't going through. Neither are Zeta-Tubes or J'onn telepathy."
Martian Manhunter came up through the ground as Flash stopped by them with the Atom on his shoulder. Suddenly, Plastic Man came up through the ground in the shape of a drill. They talked over any plans as well as notifying any other League members that haven't disappeared but are on different missions before seeing a man beside Batgirl.
He is a bald African American male. He wears a black and blue unitard with lightning motifs, blue sleeves, black pants, and black shoes. To hide and protect his eyes, he has small goggles with yellow lenses.
Suddenly, a ship appeared above them and shot a green beam on the top of the dome. Nightwing brought up a holo screen with his logo on the side and started to type messages for the heroes inside the dome. "We need you to investigate a PROBE that landed inside Metropolis. It could be the source of this force field. Here are the coordinates."
Batgirl brought up a hacking device and had a screen of her pop-up. It had her bat symbol on it. "Lightning will investigate." She replied having the words come up before bringing up a cake as Black Lightning walked away. It blew up, having Nightwing chuckle.
"Yeah, I know. Some birthday."
Nightwing and his Team, along with Zatanna, flew up with Martian Manhunter to try and talk with the alien as Zatanna hid the city from sight with a Glamour. They flew in and saw a tall alien standing on a platform.
He's a tall, green humanoid robot in purple armor.
"Who are you?" Martian Manhunter asked as the alien looked down at them.
"I go by many titles, but to most, I am the Collector. I know why you are here. Considering I do your doomed planet the honor of preserving one of its great cities." The heroes looked confused at that before Flash dashed to him. Only to be backhanded away as the Collector spoke. "You are fast. But my twelfth-level intellect brain is quicker."
Martian Manhunter tried using his powers on him but had no effect as the Collector moved his hands and had the Atom grow. The Collector dropped them and missed a door open and close. On the other side of the ship, Nightwing and the others with Sphere walk around as Wonder Girl and Zatanna talk with Blue Beetle about the Team if he chose to join. They walked into a large room with small cities inside domes. "Holy... I know what's happening to Metropolis!" Nightwing said, looking at one city.
They walked into another room to look for the beam that was shrinking the city before Zatanna's Glamour faded. "I'll recast the-!" Zatanna stopped as the Collector appeared and started to shock them.
"This scarab can neutralize the Collector's attack, Jaime Reyes." Blue Beetle suddenly heard a voice in his head before the armor around his left hand turned into a laser gun.
He and Sphere attacked with a sonic wave attack, stopping the Collector.
Kylstar Vessel December 1 23:17 UTC.
The Bio-Ship hovered upside down on a crystal ship before Naruto Y created a clone to pilot the ship. He, Naruto, and Miss Martian phased inside and started to look for the missing people. They walked through a door and saw the League and Teammates down with crystal orbs around them with a very large crystal Alien standing above them. Miss Martian destroyed the orbs, freeing the Heroes and Kylstar stopped his fighting.
He explained that he was capturing aliens from across the Universe to help save his planet from the Dictators that rule it. The orb beside him translated for them as well as the aliens he took. He offered to put anyone that did not wish to help him back on their home planet. Naruto noticed several villains take the offer before being beamed in front of the Collector. Along with the twins, Mammoth, Shimmer, and Grodd.
The Bio-Ship appeared at a window just as Nightwing spoke up. "It's a robot!"
The ship shot the Collector only to have dozens more take his place. Naruto Y grabbed his bow before the ship shook. "Something disrupts my probe. If the field shuts down while my beam is running; it will destroy your World!"
"Then turn the field off!"
The duplicates disappeared before one came back. "I have disengaged the beam."
A screen came up and showed the field disappeared.
After talking with the Collector and finding Superman is a full-blooded Kryptonian, the Collector brought them back to Metropolis and regrew Metropolis before leaving.
Gotham; Elliot Memorial Hospital December 2 15:23 EST.
Kage walked into a room where a comatose man lay with a crying woman and a girl. "Kage! Did you find the monster that did this?!"
Naruto heard a gasp before touching the man and saw life return in his eyes. "No, not yet, Dawn." He said before walking out. Miss Martian looked on in shock before Naruto spoke. "That's the reason why I'm mad, M'gann. We walk a fine line between becoming a villain. Plus, the populace still fears us. It was only 10-15 years ago when Superman showed up. And then more people with powers started to pop up, and along with them came those that became bad guys. Don't become the villain, M'gann."
Naruto left a crying M'gann to think. He stopped at the door and glanced back before walking out the door.
Gotham; Naruto's Penthouse December 2 15:30 EST.
Naruto walked into the halls where his counterpart lived before he saw various women standing outside their rooms in their underwear. "Get dressed if you're coming out of your apartment!" Naruto Y yelled looking out from his door before walking inside his apartment.
"Yes, Master!"
Naruto Y sighed before Naruto spoke. "Are they-"
"No, bodyguards for one of my girls, they just do that to annoy me." Naruto Y replied, before hearing someone crying.
He looked back to see a tired-looking Vietnamese woman with long thick black hair holding a crying baby girl who looked to be a few months old. She has blonde hair and gray eyes with two whisker marks on her cheeks.
"Hey, Lian. Daddy's home." Naruto Y picked up his daughter who immediately stopped crying.
"I have no idea how you're able to do that. Damian was the same way." Jade said as Naruto Y rocked Lian before holding her up in the air.
He threw her up and caught her several times, having her giggle in happiness. "She just missed her daddy," Naruto Y said before holding Lian in one arm and kissing Jade. "You go get some sleep." She smiled before walking into her bedroom as Naruto sat down on the couch.
"Welcome home."
Naruto looked to see Dinah in black pajama pants and a blue shirt holding a sleeping baby boy with spiky blonde hair and two whisker marks on his cheeks.
"Why the clone?"
"No clone, me from another universe."
She smiled at him before sitting beside him. "Quentin being a handful, too?" Naruto Y asked as he held her hand, and saw her tribal ring tattoo.
"No, he was a quiet little angel."
"He must not take after you or he would be screaming-!" He stopped as she suddenly gripped his crotch and squeezed. "OK, OK!" Naruto Y said before she let go and leaned against him. "She can emit a sonic cry."
"Got a villain that can do something similar," Naruto replied before a portal formed on the wall. "Take care of your family."
Naruto walked in before Naruto Y looked at Dinah. "I still can't believe you and Jade got pregnant at the same time," Naruto said before kissing Dinah on the top of her head.
"I was almost a year ahead of her," Dinah said looking at her sleeping son and smiled at him.
