Hello everybody, my name is Raymond, and welcome to The Owl House: The Last Of Us, made by the same guy who made Disney X Remedy: Crossing Realities. Now there have been several different fanarts and fanfictions of The Owl House in The Last Of Us universe already, with a some with Stan and Luz, and others with Eda and Luz. There's The Last Of Owls made by RafaHR17 on DeviantArt, there's on Reddit, the one with Stan and Luz that I mentioned is made by AvasArts on DeviantArt, there's even a fanfiction on Archive Of Our Own called Stay Alive where we see Luz and Eda. However, I decided that instead of having any of those, I decided to switch things up. For this, I will have Camila play the role as Joel, and have Vee play the role as Ellie. So that way, mine would stand out from the others. At the same time, I will also be combining elements from both The Owl House and The Last Of Us. As always, The Owl House is owned by Disney, and The Last Of Us is owned by both Sony and Naughty Dog. Enjoy.
This chapter contains blood, injury, and a death scene that is heartbreaking.
Episode 1: The Outbreak
The sun shone brightly over the small town as Camila Noceda, a young woman in her mid-20s, spent a peaceful afternoon with her 4-year-old daughter, Luz. They sat together in a cozy corner of their home, surrounded by books and toys. Camila held a book in her hands, a story about The Good Witch Azura, a beloved character that brought a smile to Luz's face.
Camila's voice filled the room as she animatedly read the book to her daughter. Luz's eyes sparkled with wonder, captivated by her mother's storytelling. "Once upon a time, in a mystical land far, far away, there lived a wise and kind-hearted witch named Azura. She had long, flowing hair as bright as the sun and eyes that sparkled like stars. Azura possessed powerful magic, but she used it for the good of others, spreading love and joy wherever she went." Each page turned was a new adventure, transporting them to a world of magic and enchantment. Camila's heart swelled with joy as she watched Luz giggle and engage with the tale.
Luz, with wide eyes, asked her mother a question saying "Wow, Mama! She sounds amazing! Can I be a witch like her?". Camila replied with her answer with a smile on her face "Of course, my little star! You can be anything you want to be. Just remember, true magic comes from within, from the kindness and love we show to others."
They continued their journey through the pages, Camila's voice filled with warmth and affection. The story unfolded, taking them to enchanted forests, sparkling waterfalls, and encounters with mystical creatures. Camila infused each character with life, painting vivid images in Luz's imagination. "I want to be a good witch like Azura and help people!" Luz said with joy to pursue her dream. "I have no doubt that you will, my darling. You have a heart full of love and a spirit that shines brighter than any magic. Now, let's see what adventures await Azura." Camila told her while brushing Luz's hair behind her ear.
As the story came to a close, Camila closed the book gently, her fingers tracing the faded cover. She marveled at the memories they had created, cherishing these precious moments with her daughter. Luz them remembered something and told Camila "Oh, mami, I made something for you. I made this at the daycare." Luz's small hands reached into her pocket, retrieving something special she had made at daycare.
With a mischievous grin, Luz handed her mother a delicate, handmade watch. It was crafted from colorful beads and intertwined with strings of vibrant thread. The watch, though imperfect, held a beauty that only a child's creation could possess. Camila's eyes welled up with tears of love and pride as she accepted the heartfelt gift.
"Thank you, my little artist," Camila whispered, pulling Luz into a warm embrace. "I will treasure this forever."
Luz beamed, snuggling closer to her mother's comforting presence. The room filled with their laughter and love, momentarily shielding them from the troubles of the outside world. Little did they know that a storm was brewing, threatening to shatter their idyllic existence.
The news reports had been growing increasingly alarming in recent weeks. Rumors of a strange illness spreading rapidly in nearby cities reached their ears. Camila had brushed them off, hoping it was nothing more than sensationalism. But as the days went by, the reality of the situation became harder to ignore.
Later that evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, Camila tucked Luz into bed, kissing her forehead gently. She whispered soothing words, promising to keep her safe no matter what. Camila's heart weighed heavy with the knowledge that danger lurked just beyond their doorstep.
Restless, Camila sat by the window, her eyes scanning the darkened streets outside. The silence of the night was broken by distant sirens and the occasional echo of urgent voices. Fear clutched at her chest, and she couldn't shake the unease that settled deep within her.
Hours passed, and exhaustion threatened to overcome her. Camila's eyes grew heavy, but she remained vigilant, determined to protect her daughter. Suddenly, a chilling scream pierced the air, jolting Camila from her drowsiness. Her heart raced as she rushed to Luz's room, finding it empty.
Panic seized Camila as she called out Luz's name, searching frantically through the house. The front door stood ajar, a chilling gust of wind slipping inside. Tears welled up in her eyes as she stepped outside, the darkness engulfing her. Desperation fueled her every step as she ventured into the unknown, determined to find her beloved daughter.
The room fell silent, and a sense of foreboding hung in the air as Camila and Luz finished their heartwarming moment of reading together. Outside, the world continued its usual rhythm, unaware of the impending chaos that would soon descend upon them.
Camila gently closed the book and placed it on the nearby shelf, her eyes lingering on its cover for a moment longer. She felt a slight tremor in her chest, a nagging worry that she couldn't shake off. Deep down, she knew that something wasn't right.
Just as Camila was about to voice her concerns, the sound of her phone buzzing on the table interrupted the silence. She picked it up, noticing a missed call from her husband, Manny. The urgency in his actions caught her attention, and her heartbeat quickened with a mixture of concern and curiosity.
Camila hastily dialed Manny's number, her fingers trembling slightly. After a few rings, he finally picked up, his voice strained and filled with urgency. "Camila! Thank goodness you answered. Have you seen the news?" Camila was concerned and said "No, Manny. What's going on? Why are you so panicked?"
Manny was breathless and rushed to Camila saying "There's an outbreak, Camila. A deadly virus is spreading like wildfire. It's chaos out here. We need to get to safety, now!" Camila's heart skipped a beat, and a wave of panic washed over her. She clutched the phone tightly, her voice trembling as she spoke. "Oh, Manny! Luz and I will leave right away." said Camila. "Where should we meet? Are you safe?"
"I'm on my way to pick you both up. Stay inside, lock the doors, and pack a bag with essentials. We need to get out of town before it's too late." Manny reassured. Camila's mind raced, processing the sudden turn of events. The tranquility of their home had shattered, replaced by an impending danger that threatened their very existence.
Camila with a determined look told Manny "I'll gather our things, Manny. Please be careful. I can't bear the thought of losing you too." Manny soothing replied to Camila saying "I'll be there soon, Camila. Stay strong, my love. We'll get through this together." With a heavy heart, Camila ended the call and turned her attention to Luz. She knelt down, her hands resting gently on her daughter's shoulders.
"Luz, we need to get ready. Something dangerous is happening outside, and Papa is coming to take us to safety." said Camila. Luz looked up at her mother, sensing the worry etched on her face. She nodded, her trust in her parents unyielding. Luz with an innocent look asked Camila "Will we go on an adventure, Mama?" Camila forced a smile, the weight of the situation pressing upon her. She leaned in and kissed Luz's forehead, holding back tears. "Yes, my love. We'll go on an adventure, and we'll protect each other every step of the way." she whispered.
With urgency in her every movement, Camila packed a bag with essential supplies while Luz gathered a few of her favorite toys, oblivious to the imminent danger that loomed outside their home. As they hurriedly prepared, their focus remained fixed on the hope of reaching safety, where they could weather the storm together as a family. Finally, the sound of a car pulling up outside their house broke through the tension. Camila's heart skipped a beat as she glanced out the window, spotting Manny's familiar vehicle. Relief washed over her, momentarily easing the weight of the situation.
Camila grabbed Luz's hand tightly and rushed towards the front door. She swung it open, revealing Manny standing there, his eyes filled with a mix of anxiety and determination. They locked eyes, wordlessly acknowledging the gravity of the situation. "Get in the car quickly, Camila. We need to leave now." Manny said with urgency. Camila nodded, her voice choked with emotion as she ushered Luz towards the waiting vehicle. They climbed into the car, their bodies trembling with a mix of fear and anticipation. As Manny started the engine, the reality of leaving their home behind settled upon them like a heavy blanket.
Luz was asking Manny "Are we going on an adventure, Papa?" with her voice filled with innocence. Manny replied with a fake smile on his face saying "Yes, Luzita. It's going to be an adventure, but we need to be brave, okay? We're going to find a safe place."
Camila glanced at her husband, grateful for his reassuring presence amidst the chaos. She reached over, intertwining her fingers with his, finding solace in their shared determination to protect their family. "Thank you for being here, Manny. I don't know what I would do without you." Camila told her husband. Manny squeezed her hand gently, his eyes filled with love and resolve and said "We're in this together, Camila. We'll keep each other safe."
With that, the car pulled away from their home, leaving behind a life that now belonged to a different era. As they ventured into the unknown, the streets grew increasingly chaotic, filled with panicked crowds and the distant wails of sirens. The world outside seemed like a distorted reflection of what it once was, its innocence shattered by the harsh reality of the outbreak. The journey ahead was fraught with uncertainty, but Camila and Manny were determined to do whatever it took to protect their precious daughter. They held onto each other, their intertwined hands a symbol of their unwavering love and resilience.
In the backseat, Luz looked out the window, her eyes wide with curiosity and a touch of innocence that remained untouched by the surrounding chaos. She clutched her favorite toy tightly, finding comfort in its familiarity. Though unaware of the true extent of the danger they faced, Luz sensed the gravity of the situation through her parents' unspoken emotions. As the car sped along the deserted roads, Camila stole a glance at Luz, her heart aching at the thought of the innocence that would be lost in the days to come. But she remained steadfast, determined to protect her daughter's spirit and give her hope in the face of adversity.
The once bustling town now lay in ruins, abandoned and consumed by the chaos of the outbreak. The sound of distant screams and growls sent shivers down their spines, a constant reminder of the danger that lurked just beyond their fragile sanctuary. Camila's grip tightened around Luz, seeking solace in the warmth of her daughter's presence. Manny's eyes remained fixed on the road, his focus unwavering as he navigated the treacherous path ahead. They were a family united, determined to survive and protect one another at all costs.
Suddenly, a group of infected creatures emerged from the shadows, their twisted forms lunging towards the car. Panic gripped their hearts as Camila and Manny instinctively locked all the doors, desperately attempting to create a barrier between themselves and the relentless onslaught. Manny warned everyone saying "Hold on tight, everyone! We have to get through them!"
With adrenaline coursing through his veins, Manny maneuvered the car skillfully, swerving past the charging infected. The creatures clawed at the windows and slammed against the vehicle, their frenzied attempts to reach their prey fueled by an insatiable hunger. Luz clung to her parents, her wide eyes filled with a mix of fear and awe. The sight of the grotesque creatures was both terrifying and surreal, a nightmare brought to life before her innocent gaze. She buried her face into Camila's shoulder, seeking comfort and protection.
Just as they thought they had managed to escape, another vehicle careened towards them, crashing into the side of their car with a deafening impact. The force of the collision sent Camila, Manny, and Luz lurching forward, their bodies slamming against their seatbelts. Darkness engulfed them as they slipped into unconsciousness. Time seemed suspended in a haze of disorientation and pain. Camila slowly regained consciousness, her head throbbing and her vision blurred. As her senses gradually returned, she became aware of the acrid smell of smoke and the sound of distant sirens piercing through the air.
Camila's heart raced with panic as she frantically searched for Manny and Luz. With a surge of relief, she spotted them, dazed but conscious, nearby. She called out to them, her voice filled with urgency and concern. "Manny! Luz! Are you okay?" Camila asked while strained. Manny groaned, slowly sitting up and rubbing his head and said "I... I think so. Luz, are you alright?"
Luz, teary-eyed and frightened, nodded weakly. The gravity of their situation settled upon them, their bodies aching and their hopes of reaching safety momentarily shattered. The wreckage of the two vehicles served as a chilling reminder of the dangers that surrounded them. They were stranded in a hostile world, wounded and vulnerable. But amidst the chaos, their family bond remained unbroken, and they drew strength from their love for one another.
As the chaos of the outbreak intensified, Camila, Manny, and Luz found themselves in a desperate fight for survival. The collision had left Luz with a broken foot, causing her pain and making it impossible for her to walk. With a heavy heart, Camila made the difficult decision to carry her daughter, knowing that time was of the essence.
As the family escaped from their wrecked vehicle, Camila crouched down beside Luz, gently lifting her into her arms. Luz winced, tears streaming down her face, but she remained brave, holding onto her mother tightly. "You're so strong, Luzita. Mama's got you. We have to keep moving, okay? Papa will lead the way, and I'll carry you. We're going to get through this together." Camila strongly told her. Luz nodded, her face etched with determination, even through the pain. Manny took the lead, scouting for the safest route, his instincts honed by the need to protect his family.
They ran, their footsteps pounding against the desolate streets, their hearts racing in sync with the urgency of their situation. Around them, the infected creatures lurched and snarled, driven by their insatiable hunger. Camila's muscles strained with every step, but her love for Luz fueled her strength, allowing her to push forward despite the exhaustion that threatened to overwhelm her.
Manny led them through narrow alleyways and hidden passages, their surroundings a maze of danger and uncertainty. The world seemed to blur as they raced against time, their senses attuned to every sound, every movement. Each passing moment was a precious breath of survival, a testament to their resilience and determination.
The air filled with Camila's labored breaths and Luz's occasional whimper of pain, but their spirits remained unbroken. They leaned on each other, drawing strength from their unwavering bond. The weight of their situation pressed upon them, but they refused to let it crush their hope. As they sprinted through the wreckage-strewn streets, the sound of a distant gunshot echoed through the air, followed by a chorus of infected screams. Manny's eyes widened, and he changed direction, leading them towards a nearby building—a once bustling supermarket now abandoned and looted.
They burst through the doors, seeking temporary respite from the relentless pursuit of the infected. Camila gently set Luz down, her body trembling with exhaustion. They quickly barricaded the entrance, creating a semblance of safety within the decaying walls. Inside, Camila cradled Luz in her arms, offering comfort and reassurance amidst the harsh reality that surrounded them.
Inside the supermarket, the Noceda family caught their breath, their bodies weary from their harrowing escape. The infected creatures continued their relentless assault on the barricaded doors, their hunger driving them to reach the precious prey within. Manny, his face etched with determination, surveyed their surroundings. His voice was filled with both love and resolve as he turned to Camila and Luz.
"Camila, Luz, listen to me." Manny firmly told Camila. "We can't stay here. I'll hold them off as long as I can. You two need to get to safety." Camila's eyes widened, her heart pounding in her chest. Fear and love warred within her as she gazed at her husband, torn between the need to protect Luz and her desire to stay by Manny's side.
"Manny, I can't leave you. We're a family. We stick together." Camila's voice trembled. "I know, mi amor, but right now, our priority is Luz's safety. She needs you, Camila. Get her to a secure place. I'll find a way to catch up with you. I promise." Manny told her while placing his hands on Camila's shoulders.
Luz, sensing the gravity of the situation, looked up at her father with wide, tear-filled eyes. She clutched onto her mother's arm, her voice filled with concern. "Papa, please be careful. I don't want anything to happen to you." she whispered. "I'll do everything in my power to protect you all, mi niña. Just trust that we'll be together again soon." Manny told her daughter.
Camila's gaze shifted between her husband and her daughter, her heart heavy with the weight of their predicament. She knew deep down that Manny's sacrifice was necessary, that their family's survival depended on it. "Okay, Manny. I trust you. But please, be safe. We'll find a place to hide, and we'll wait for you." Camila said with her voice choked with emotion.
Manny nodded, his eyes locked with Camila's, conveying an unspoken understanding and love that transcended words. With one final embrace, Camila and Luz turned towards the back exit of the supermarket, their footsteps muffled amidst the chaos unfolding around them. As they made their escape, Manny remained behind, his determined gaze fixed on the door. With steely resolve, he pushed against the barricade, blocking the entrance to buy precious moments for his family.
Camila and Luz ran desperately, their hearts pounding as they sought safety from the pursuing infected. Fear gripped them, but they pushed forward, driven by the instinct to survive. Just as they neared what seemed like a place of refuge, the infected closed in, their snarls and gnashing teeth growing louder with each passing moment.
Finally, they reached a safe zone, a secure area guarded by military personnel. Relief washed over Camila as she saw a soldier aiming his weapon at the approaching infected, ready to defend them. She hurriedly approached him, her voice filled with gratitude. "Si, we're saved! Sir, thank you so much." Camila said to the solder.
The solder told them "Stop." Camila froze, confusion flashing across her face. She looked at the soldier, hoping for assistance in their desperate situation. "Look we need your help, there's a group of creatures that are-" The solder interrupted her sentence with "Stop right there."
Camila attempted to calm the soldier, understanding the need for caution in these perilous times. "Sir, it's okay." said Camila, "Take it easy. We're not infected. We just need help." The soldier interrupted, speaking into a communication device clipped to his uniform talking to the sergeant "Got a couple of civilians out in the perimeter, please advise."
Luz, fear etched on her face, tugged on Camila's arm, seeking reassurance. "Mama, what about papa?" she asked her mother. Camila answered with gathered strength from within, her voice filled with determination, saying "Don't worry, mija. Your papa will be okay. I promise."
The soldier's gaze shifted from Camila to Luz, uncertainty clouding his expression. He hesitated, torn between protocol and compassion when he heard the sergeant a shocking command. "Sir, there's a little girl." said the solder, "But..." he gets cut off and then sighs and obeyed saying "Yes, sir."
Camila's hope swelled, believing they had found safety at last. But in a sudden turn of events, the soldier raised his gun, pointing it at both Camila and Luz. Fear flooded their eyes as they instinctively pleaded for their lives. "Sir? We're not sick!" Camila shouted, "WE'RE NOT SICK!" Gunshots erupted, piercing the air. Camila and Luz crumpled to the ground, pain searing through their bodies. The soldier, his face etched with regret, prepared to deliver a fatal blow.
"I'm sorry." said the solder with his voice filled with sorrow. Just as the soldier's finger tightened on the trigger, Manny emerged from the shadows, his presence a timely savior. He lunged forward, intercepting the soldier's deadly aim, knocking him to the ground. The soldier's lifeless body lay motionless as Manny shielded Camila.
However, all their hopes were shattered as Camila heard Luz's pained cries. She turned, her heart sinking as she saw Luz covered in gunshot wounds, blood staining her small body. Camila's instincts kicked in as she rushed to her daughter's side and said "Oh no. Luz.", her hands trembling but determined to stop the bleeding.
She pressed her hands onto Luz's wounds, desperately trying to staunch the flow of blood. Luz grunted in pain, tears streaming down her face. "It's gonna be okay, Luz." Camila said to her injured daughter, "I'm right here with you. I know it hurts, but you're gonna be fine. Mama is here." Tears streamed down Luz's face as she clung to her mother, her small body wracked with pain. Camila's own tears mixed with her words as she held onto hope, trying to offer comfort in the face of tragedy.
"You're so strong, my brave Luz. We'll get through this together. Just stay with me, my darling. Hold on." she said with her voice breaking. Camila then tries to lift Luz while having her hand on the wound to stop the bleeding which made the pain intensified. "I know, mija. I know it hurts. It's okay. Just stay with me. Just stay with me, please." she told her. Camila then turns to Manny and said "Manny, help me!"
Manny, his face etched with horror and disbelief, stood frozen in place. He struggled to comprehend the devastating sight before him. His heart breaking, Camila's pleas for help echoed through the air, her desperate cries for their daughter's life to be spared.
As Camila fought to save their daughter, tragedy has struck, unfolding before their eyes. Her desperate attempts were in vain as Luz's body went limp, her tiny heartbeat fading away. "Luz? Sweetheart?" Camila said to her now dead daughter. Her eyes were full of tears and said "Don't do this to me, mija. Don't do this to me. Please. No. Oh Dios mío."
Camila's cries mixed with anguish, grief, and disbelief. She cradled Luz's lifeless body in her trembling arms, her heart shattered into a million pieces. "My baby, no. Don't leave me. I can't bear it. Why?" Camila cried as she hugged her dead daughter. In that devastating moment, time seemed to stand still. Camila's world shattered into a million pieces, and she felt an unbearable emptiness where once there had been joy and love.
THE LAST OF US
In the aftermath of Luz's tragic death, grief wrapped its suffocating grip around Camila and Manny, slowly tearing at the seams of their once-unbreakable bond. The loss of their beloved daughter weighed heavily upon them, and their pain manifested as constant arguments and discord. The death of Luz had become an insurmountable chasm that seemed to widen with every passing day. Camila and Manny found themselves unable to bridge the gap, their emotions running raw and their hearts shattered.
Their once-shared dreams of protecting their family and finding a new life in the midst of the apocalypse had been shattered, leaving behind a fractured relationship that neither knew how to mend. As the arguments grew more frequent and the wounds deepened, the strain became too much for their fragile connection to bear. Eventually, the bitter truth of their situation forced its way to the surface, and they made the painful decision to part ways.
The divorce became a necessary but devastating reality, leaving Camila alone in a world that felt colder and more desolate than ever before. The weight of her grief settled upon her, turning her into a mere shell of the woman she once was. Days blurred into weeks, and weeks turned into months as Camila fought to survive the harsh reality of the apocalypse. The watch that Luz had lovingly crafted for her remained a treasured possession, even though it was now broken, its ticking heart silenced.
Camila clung to the broken watch as a symbol of her daughter's love, a bittersweet reminder of the connection they once shared. It served as a beacon of strength, reminding her of the promise she made to honor Luz's memory and find a way to survive.
As the world continued to crumble under the weight of the outbreak, news reports painted a grim picture of the widespread devastation. The once-thriving cities had become graveyards, their streets lined with the lifeless bodies of countless victims. Reporters relayed the worsening situation, their voices filled with urgency and despair. "The number of confirmed deaths has passed 200. The governor has called a state of emergency..."
"There were hundreds and hundreds of bodies lining the streets." The leaked report from the World Health Organization, revealing the failure of vaccination tests, further fueled the panic that had spread worldwide. Governments struggled to maintain control, while chaos and uncertainty reigned. "...with the bureaucrats out of power, we can finally take the necessary steps to..."
"Los Angeles is now the latest city to be placed under martial law. All residents are required to report to their designated quarantines. Riots have continued for a third consecutive day, and winter rations are at an all-time low." In the midst of the chaos, a glimmer of hope emerged. A group of witches from the Boiling Isles, known to be from the magical realm, offered their assistance to help heal society. The world, desperate for salvation, turned its attention to these mysterious beings and the possibility of their restorative powers. "A group calling themselves the Fireflies claimed responsibility for both attacks. The public clamors for the return of all branches of government. Demonstrations broke out following the exclusion of six more alleged Fireflies."
The voice of a woman, offering a beacon of hope, echoed through the airwaves, urging people to rise and find light amidst the darkness. "You can still rise with us. Remember, when you're lost in the darkness, look for the light. Believe in the Fireflies."
In this shattered world, where uncertainty and fear reigned, the presence of the Fireflies offered a glimmer of hope. Their call to believe in something greater, to seek unity and healing, resonated with those desperate for a way forward.
