Chapter 1: The unexpected encounter

(Kinnara's P.O.V, Flashback)

We arrived at a new place called Elmore, my dad just got a new job here and he said that the neighborhood seems pretty nice and funny. I didn't know what he actually mean by that, I'm still too young to understand those kinds of jokes.

After we arrived at our new home in Elmore, I helped mom and dad to cleaned up the house, unpacked the boxes that filled with our furnitures from our old house, and tidying those furnitures from dusts. I've been very helpful around the house despite the fact that I'm still 5 years old, I guess that's because I'm part demon part wolpertinger which made me quite strong and agile for a young child like me. Not long after that, my mom told me that I should go look for new friends.

"Will they ever like me, mom? I'm scared they would hate me."

"Don't worry, sunshine. I'm sure they will love you they way you are."

"Yes, honey. You should listen to your mother's advice. Besides, Elmore is a pretty unique place and they surely accepted us no matter what."

"Okay mom and dad."

I went outside, brought some books to read and maybe share them to my new friends...I hope. The wind blew my braided white hair and my dark blue skirt, I sat on a grass under a tree and began reading. Suddenly, I saw someone looking at me, he was a blue colored cyclops with short brown hair, he was wearing a t-shirt and a pair of shorts, his pink colored eye stared at me.

"Are you new here ?"

I gasped and answered

"Y...Yes, please don't suddenly appeared in front of me like that."

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you or anything."

"It's okay, you really didn't mean to scare me anyway."

I stood up while fixing my shirt and skirt, the boy just looked at me.

"You look beautiful, miss. I never seen someone as beautiful as you."

"Aw, you shouldn't have and you don't have to call me 'miss'. We're both have the same age."

"Really."

"Anyway, my name is Kinnara Lapin Kaslana, you can call me Kinnara. What's your name?"

The cyclops boy answered, "My name is Rob."

(Present time)

"Uhh...What time is it?"

Kinnara woke up and take a look at her clock, her eyes widen all of a sudden

"OMG, I'M LATE, I'M LATE FOR SCHOOL!"

Kinnara was panicking, it appears that she was so busy with her school tasks, she forgot to put on her alarm clock. She quickly took a shower, brushed her teeth, get dressed and wore her regular outfit, a black sailor fuku dress with blue bow tie, a choker with pentagram on it, along with her belt that usually holds her grimoire and tarot cards, and a pair of leg warmers that was joined with a garterbelt. She also quickly wore her necklace and braid her hair and putting on a her cross shaped hairclip. She quickly put all of her school textbooks and homework in her school satchel and frantically went down the stairs.

"Good morning, sweetie. Do you need something for breakfast?"

"No thanks mom, I'm late for school."

Kinnara answered while grabbing an apple and took a bite of it.

"Sweetie, you should take things a little bit easy sometimes. I appreciate that you study hard until midnight so you can get a good grade, but I'm worried that you have a poor time management because of this."

"I know, mom, I know. Anyway, bye, mom."

"Bye, sweetie. Have a good day at school."

'"Alright mom."

She kissed her mom on her cheek and went outside, it seems that she missed the school bus because she always woke up early so she can catch the bus early, Kinnara ran as quickly as she can while munching on the apple on her hand while chasing the bus. Suddenly, she bumped into someone, she tried to get up.

"Ouch, who on earth did I just bump into?"

She saw a cyclops boy with polygonal hair, head and body, his arms and legs were glitched and covered in static, his right hand was black and his left hand was pink, one of his shoes was black and the other was just a wireframe.

"I'm so sorry, are you alright ?" Kinnara tried to help him stand up.

"No, I'm fine. Thank you for asking."

"Thank goodness, I'm literally super clumsy when I'm in a hurry."

"Do you need help?"

"No...not really." Kinnara quickly picked up some of her books that came out of her satchel, she took a dep breath and continued to talked to him.

"Anyway, I was in a hurry. I woke up late and I missed the bus, maybe we could talk again sometimes."

"Oh sure, but shouldn't use your wings to catch a bus instead of running?"

Kinnara was flabbergasted.

"Dangnabbit, why am I so forgetful today? Mom was right, I should take things a little bit easy."

"Are you alright?"

"Nope, I'm fine. By the way, my name is Kinnara, what's yours?"

"My name is Rob."

Hearding the name "Rob" made Kinnara speechless, something from her past memories just striked her all of a sudden.

Rob...I heard that name before...Is he the same person that I know?

"Umm...Kinnara?"

"Uhh...yes?"

"Is this your apple ?"

"Umm yes, thank you Rob. I gotta go...I mean fly, bye."

Kinnara quickly used her wings to fly to school after she took the half bitten apple, Rob just saw her flew away, he felt something inside his chest as well, like a spark of his past memories just striked him when he saw Kinnara.

"She still hasn't changed much since the day I met her, has she?"

He then saw one of Kinnara's school notebook, he took the book.

"I think I should gave this to her."

Sounds like there's a red string of fate that bound him and Kinnara

Hello there, sorry for being in a hiatus for so long, I'm quite busy with college. Anyway, I have watched the Amazing World Of Gumball since I was in Middle School and I soon liked Rob, probably because I felt sorry for all of the terrible things that happened to him and so I decided to put make my own OC for the show.

And that's how Kinnara was created, she's Rob's childhood friend/girlfriend/ally. By the way, the story took place after The Disaster/The Rerun and I was inspirated by red string of fate thingy, that's I invoked this kind of trope in this fic.
