Ginny glanced at the large silver ray gun looking machine. It looked like every other stupid weapon Dog Star had created. So far, there had been five of them. Five of them that she'd destroyed thus saving the world forever. She wasn't even surprised to find herself in Dog Star's secret lair... although 'secret' might not be the best word for it. He had this insane habit of making his lairs as dramatic as possible, thus draining energy from the grid. That's how she'd found him this time.

"As you see, Red, I have built this new ray gun! I shall now use it to pinpoint the location of every single person you love. You will watch as I freeze them with my evil mega ice ray!"

Ginny rolled her eyes before realizing exactly what Dog Star had said. Every person she loved... that would mean.. her eyes widened.

"Wait, no!" she cried, trying to stop Dog star from flipping the machine on. It turned on with a large red button. Why was it always a large red button she couldn't figure out, but it was. The machine whirled to life. A map of the city appeared on the giant screen.

"Pinpointing," the machine said in a monotone voice. Suddenly Dog Star was staring at the screen. The machine had finally pinpointed the person Ginny loved. It was showing Dog Star's lair, his heat signature on the screen.

"What?"

"Guess your machine doesn't work?" Ginny suggested, giving him a shrug.

"It works perfectly! I know because I tested it using myself! And it showed exactly where you standing, in the middle of a field, well, hovering above it, but still!"

"Wait? You used it to find me?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. "Does that mean... you love me?"

"NO!"

"Then the machine doesn't work."

"But..." Dog Star tried to figure out how to explain his way out of this one. Red was clever, she'd figured out so many of his plans.

"Either you love me and the machine works perfectly, which is what you just confessed in your usual dramatic monologue style, or it doesn't work, which would be very weird because your ray guns always work."

"You're right! They do always work, therefore you must love me!"

"I don't even know your real name, just your silly code name, I mean, Dog Star?"

"It makes sense! My name is Sirius, the dog star, at least I don't go by a color. Other than your stupid costume, there's nothing red about you?"

"Really? Fine," Ginny stated, pulling her hood off, causing her red hair to cascade down her back. "See, red. And my suit's not silly!"

"If you'd let me design you a new one, it would look amazing!" Sirius stated.

"Did you design yours?" Ginny asked. Sirius' costume was amazing, and tight fitting and, like everything else about him, dramatic.

"Of course! Now, for you, maybe something a shade darker, with a hood that framed your face, here and here," he said, touching Ginny's exposed jawline. She couldn't help but tremble beneath his touch.

"You might have a point, but I'm still here to stop you from...freezing my loved ones with your evil mega ray gun."

"Right! Only, I don't want to freeze myself... so I guess you win this round?"

"I guess so, um, I'm not sure what to do now. You haven't actually committed a crime..."

"I could go steal something? Two cups of coffee, or, or better yet! I will go steal two steak dinners from that steak house that denied me service! Yes! That is the best evil plan ever! Do you like yours medium-rare?" Sirius asked. Ginny just burst out laughing.

"I do," she admitted.

"Good, then wait right here, I'll go steal us dinner and then you can arrest me, and then I can break out of jail again!"

"Or," Ginny said, grabbing Sirius' arm. "We could take off these masks, go to the steakhouse and have a proper dinner date that doesn't lead to jail?" she suggested. Sirius stared at her, but then smiled.

"Alright, that sounds... less dramatic, but alright, let's try it your way," he agreed as Ginny twirled causing her costume to shift into a pair of black jeans and a fuzzy mulberry colored jumper.

"Your turn," she stated.

"I'll be right back. My suit doesn't do that," he stated, running and disappearing for a moment before turning in a pair of black slacks and a black button down shirt.

"Still dramatic," Ginny laughed.

"True, true. So what do I call you? Red? I mean, not that I don't love the name..."

"Ginny, my name is Ginny."

"Great, I think I like Red better, so ready for the best date of your life, Red?"

"Absolutely," she answered, taking his arm as they left his not so secret lair and the giant evil ice gun behind.
