Danny Fenton was exhausted, sick, and tired. He was hungover from the end-of-the-year party, no doubt. He had woken up on the couch of his dorm, surrounded by empty cans, bottles, and pizza boxes. The smell of alcohol hung heavy in the air. He shifted from lying to sitting up, his legs still outstretched.
"Cleaning this place is going to be a pain," Danny muttered. Suddenly, Sam came into the dorm. Two warm coffees in a holder, giving Danny a sympathetic smile. Danny shifted again, moving his feet to the floor, mentally thankful he kept his shoes on. Sam sat next to Danny and handed him a cup of coffee.
"Thanks," He said, carefully sipping, "You're a lifesaver, babe."
Sam said confidently, "It's what I do."
She sipped the other cup. She looked pretty sleep-deprived herself.
"Studying hard," Danny asked, "or hardly Studying?"
Sam chuckled, "I was at the party too, Ya big goof."
"Did we make out," Danny asked, "Or was it something closer to 15 minutes in heaven?"
"Well," Sam admitted, "I don't remember any clothes coming off, so I guess we just made out."
They laughed, and Sam helped him clean the trash from his dorm. They came into Danny's bedroom to kiss passionately. Then suddenly, Danny felt a sudden and harsh chill come over him. He heard a buzzing sound muffled under a pile of dirty laundry.
"I've got to get that," Danny said, gently pushing Sam away.
Sam sighed, "Of course."
Danny dug through the pile and pulled out an ultra-technologically advanced cell phone. When he saw the name on the screen, he felt another harsh chill almost stab him with how intense it was.
"Jimmy Neutron," Danny muttered, "I haven't heard that name in a long time."
Danny then shouted, "Going ghost!"
Danny closed his eyes and assumed a wide pose. Two rings of bright white surrounded him horizontally. They moved away from each other, coming from his middle. One going down to the soles of his shoes and the other going the other way, sweeping past the top of his head. As they passed his body, his appearance changed, his loose clothes replaced by a tight black jumpsuit with a white belt and a 'D' emblem. His sneakers were substituted with white boots, and long white gloves appeared on his arms and hands. His hair was instantly bleached a paper white. Danny opened his eyes, and they were not a muddy brown anymore but a bright lime green.
Danny answered the video call once the transformation was complete.
"Salutations," Jimmy happily greeted him, "Phantom, thank you for picking up on such short notice."
Danny, somewhat annoyed, asked, "What seems to be the trouble?"
"Well," Jimmy answered, "I need your help with a big problem that I have noticed in my observations of our shared multiverse."
"What have you observed," Danny probed, "Is some villain out for revenge?"
"Not just one," Jimmy replied, "I have found multiple villains conspiring for their Revenge."
Danny asked, "Aren't you and Timmy close?"
"Yep," Jimmy reassured, "He's on board as well, But I need you. There's some evil version of you working with my evil clone."
Danny gasped, "Dark Danny."
"Precisely," Jimmy affirmed.
"Any word from," Danny began, feeling hopeful.
Jimmy quickly interrupted, "Sorry, Phantom, I still can't reach the sponge."
Danny sighed, "I thought not."
"So," Jimmy asked, "you in?"
Danny looked at Sam.
Sam said tiredly, "Go and do what you must."
Danny turned back to Jimmy and said, "You bet!"
"Great," Jimmy said, "I'll open a portal near your coordinates shortly."
Jimmy hung up. Danny gave Sam a peck on the lips. A portal opened on the ceiling.
"Bye, Sam," Danny said, "Remember, if I'm not back for three days, use an Ouija board!"
He floated up and into the portal. Timmy was already there, a giant wand strapped to his back. He flew into Jimmy's lab.
"My uh," Timmy explained, "Friends Cosmo and Wanda are taking a vacation, so Jorgan let me borrow his wand."
"Okay," Danny said.
Jimmy turned from his computer to Danny, smiling warmly.
Jimmy said, "Let's get started."
Jimmy turned back to his computer and began to type. Danny approached Jimmy's side to look at the screen. Displayed on the net were four villains. Three Danny and Timmy could recognize. Dark Danny, Evil Jimmy, and Anti-Cosmo. The fourth was unfamiliar. It looked like a pirate with all its color drained from its body.
Danny pointed and asked, "Who is that?"
Jimmy looked and answered, "He calls himself Black and White Willy. He's the new leader of EVIL."
Timmy asked, "Yeah, but why is he colorless?"
"He could be an older toon," Jimmy offered.
"In this Multiverse," Danny asked and said, "That doesn't sound right."
"Honestly," Jimmy admitted, "I don't know, but I do know that he's got one crazy plan to take over the world."
He typed a bit more, and the screen changed to a blueprint of a Lazer with three inputs.
"This is my evil clone's invention," Jimmy said, "It will harness the powers of ghosts, anti-fairy magic, and something from Black and White Willy to shatter the fragile connections in our multiverse completely. Cutting off all connections to our allies forever."
"We have to stop them," Timmy said.
Danny was fixated on Black and White Willy; something familiar about the pirate's style bothered the hero.
"So Jimmy," Danny asked after a minute, "What's our plan?"
"We might have a chance to take them down with just us three," Jimmy explained, "If we follow this plan exactly."
He typed something on his keyboard, and a detailed list of instructions popped up. He printed off three copies. He gave one copy to Timmy and Danny and held onto one himself.
"Hold on to these," Jimmy said, "Just in case my evil clone tries to delete the original plan on my computer."
Timmy asked, "Don't you have protection against your evil clone's hacking?"
"Not really," Jimmy admitted, "Of I could create a firewall strong enough to keep him out, I would. But he's just as smart as me. So he'll probably find a way anyway. Besides, this is better."
Danny looked over the detailed plans and frowned.
"Jimmy," Danny noted, "This says if SpongeBob tries to call to ignore him."
"Well," Jimmy said, "Yeah, if he didn't want to help. Then I won't force him when we're in the middle of the adventure."
"But what if he needs our help," Danny asked, "or What if he's finally trying to reach out to us after shutting us out for so long?"
"The odds of either are extremely low," Jimmy replied, getting annoyed now, "Besides, there would be no point. We would be helping someone more than capable of helping themselves."
Jimmy sighed and mumbled, "He's probably already forgotten all about us."
Danny gasped, "No, that can't be right."
"Look," Jimmy said, "I'll prove it."
He pulled out his inter-dimensional phone and dialed a number. Ring tones, and then it went to voicemail.
"Hey Jimmy," The prerecorded message chirped, "I can't come to the phone right now, but leave a message after the beep!"
"See," Jimmy said, "It was ignored; he has better things to do than deal with this and our problems."
"Spongebuddy," Danny shouted, "We need your help!"
Jimmy quickly hung up and sighed.
"Just follow my plan," Jimmy said.
"Oh, alright," Danny relented.
