"The Void pulls at the virtual particles of space, ripping them apart. These particles then take upon themselves the light used to tear themselves apart. This creates a new energy type that we call Void Light" - Unknown

Upper Atmosphere, Coruscant.

In a blink of an eye, I was falling. The wind rushing past my helm roared like the NLS Drive powered engines of a Jumpship. It would not take even a minute before I reached Terminal Velocity and hit the ground below. I needed to think, and think fast. I heard a mechanical chirp in my ear as I finally reached cloud cover. It was my Ghost, Ilum (ih-Loom). It had signified its presence and with it, an update to my HUD. It was an elevation reading that had been quickly counting down as I fell to surface level, but what was strange was the fact that my elevation would rapidly change, as though I was traveling over a mountain range… or a City. Cloud cover finally broke, and with it, I saw a sight beyond comprehension. It was a vast, clean city, much larger than that of the Last City. It had no walls and seemed to stretch from horizon to horizon. Its buildings towered into the sky and fell deep into, or more so, toward sea level of the planet below. It was here that I realized what I was falling toward. It was a large and vast building, not quite as tall as the others, but seemingly stood on a pedestal. Flames and smoke were pouring out of the side, as though it was under siege. It had these two massive towers, parallel to each other, and I was falling straight toward the rightmost one. My Ghost once again chirped in my ear, as an image flashed through my mind, that of a Warlock performing what they called an Icarus Dash. It was a technique pioneered by Warlocks, who used Solar Light to change the momentum and direction of which they were traveling in. I could do something similar. Void Light coalesced in my palm, and right as I passed the highest point of the tower, I fired off a blast of the Light, launching me straight into the tower, and as it turns out, through a wall. My body was crushed and broken. I had expected to break a few bones, but with a sudden stop of motion, my body had collapsed from momentum and rubble. I layed there dying. It went black

"Eyes up Guardian" a mechanical chirp seemed to say. I opened my eyes to see a blue diamond in the middle of a black circle, which was a screen on a silver orb. It was Ilum

I groaned as I hoisted my upper body off the ground, only to see the hole I caused with my crash. It was then I asked "Did I die" witch Ilum replied, saying "For the 501st time"

"Ah man, I wanted to keep that record." I responded in kind. It had been about a month since I had last died, mostly because Sol had been quiet. Little activity within the system meant that a few Hunters could return and the Titans could take a break. Immortality does come with its fair share of stress. It also removed much of the seriousness and fear in Combat as there was often nothing on the line. If you died, you could just come back.

A large THOOME, like that of a small explosion ripped me from my thoughts as I quickly scrambled to my feet, and my shelless ghost dematerialized. I once again heard its unmistakable mechanical chirp as a new marker appeared on my HUD, along with a Holo-reading of the area I was in. My ghost, along with my Helm would analyze and then relay information from the surrounding area so long as it was within my line of sight. This helped compensate and control the information a Guardian received. This was because of the fact that the Light often enhanced a Risens senses, but the mind that uses such senses would not be able to process the information, causing what would be called a system crash. The Risen would no longer be able to process the information, and thus would become "stuck" thinking about one event or scene for a long duration. Archives from back in the Last City called it "Light Based Cognitive Paralysis" or "LCP" The Helm helped reduce the incoming sensory data, and thus allow a Risen to work. That being said, if the Risen was old enough they may have the experience, training, and skill to analyze and thus process all the extra data.

I started to run down the stairwell, finally reaching the main temple, and what I saw was carnage. Bodies strewn around, some wearing robes and cloth like items, and others wearing what appeared to be a type of armor. There were also scorch marks on the walls and floor. Realizing that I was in a War Zone, I told my ghost, Ilum, to transmatt one of the many firearms I had stored within Engram data. Ilum chirped in response as I felt a sudden weight in my hands. The weapon appeared, its golden frame and red eye scope glinting in the flickering light. And with it, I walked through the temple.

Jedi Temple, Coruscant

Run. Run. Run. My mind had been repeating this every second of every moment since the order was given. It was too late. The temple was falling, and the Clones were hunting us down. I was in the upper levels of the Temple, trying to get to one of the pillory stations where one of the many Temple Defensive AIs were held. If I could access that, the Temples' ancient defenses would activate, and along with the Temple Guards, they would wreak havoc upon the Clones. I was too late. It's always too late. And then I heard the unmistakable bark of a Clone. "BLAST HER"

I ignited my saber, the orange glow of the blade illuminating my face. With it now activated, I turned to where the order sounded from, but already, there were two blaster bolts traveling straight toward my chest. I flicked my hand, and the saber blocked the first bolt, but the second was not even an inch from my chest. It was then that I felt an impact, but not to my chest. No, I was thrown from the side, and standing in my positing, now with a smoking cavity in there shoulder, and a strange, Golden-Bronze blaster holstered, was a person in a weird, exotic looking armor. Even stranger, was that he was defending me from the clones. And all hell broke loose.
