Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Explosive Hearts. Enjoy the 2000-word chapter. I do not own Borderlands; Gearbox and a few others do.
Tina laughed, an impish giggle that had torn the area apart… Well, that and the dozens of bombs that tore up the area.
Acer watched as dozens of small little explosions tore up at least a dozen raiders. It was clear that their entire line was to be torn up as he paused to be dealt with. He had been as he clicked it into place.
He did not wish to know what this woman was capable of… He hummed as he looked at Tina.
"You like bombs? Where are the fireworks?" Acer asked as he tossed a rock down the hill.
Tina watched as a giant pile of fuel… One which she realized was feeding the raider's vehicles ignited, the stone causing enough of a spark to ignite it. She watched it to know for the moment that he liked destruction.
The smile that crossed his face as the crazed monsters collapsed told her that he was eager to see it… But it was clear that something was also on his mind and he did not seem to mind.
"Pff, fire… Silly Ace Face. You do not know what you are missing." Tina stated before she smiled, knowing that she could continue to let it come crashing for now as she paused to let it come down once more.
Tina and Acer watched, sitting cross-legged as fire and death exploded around them, flames throwing it as he paused to try and figure it out as he seemed to be dealing with for now.
He yawned being tired, poking her in the side as she seemed to look to the side as she seemed to be dealt with for the moment.
She poked him back, a smile which had been thrown off now, both looked at each other… Thinking for now what would come next. She was amused, too interested in the next idea.
She poked him playfully, gleefully hoping he did the same and not being at all surprised when he did so. They were two peas in a pod. A destructive spark and the tinder gave way to a fire and an explosion of glorious way.
She did not know; she did not care. It was clear that such a thing was chaotic which seemed to be dealt with, she would continue to be dealt with in her way as she thought of what else to do, what chaos she would bring.
This was the start of something she would adore. She did not even know what was going on at the end of the day… Such chaos… There were a lot of things that she had tried to bring into the ground once more as she thought once more as she paused to try and think of the chaos within her.
It was good and she did not want it to die out at all. Nope, not even a little… She had so much to burn, to see explode… Dying? Eh, overrated when it came down to it. The ideas she had running through her head were glorious.
She was eager to deal with him and watch as Acer became who she knew he was. She smirked at him.
Tina was many things but she was not stupid, not even a little. She was insane, crazy… But not stupid, she could see the fire in his eyes, the glee as things burned, yes, she saw it.
He liked destruction but of a different caliber, of a different kind. She could see he liked fire as much as she liked exploding things as he dealt with for now and then looked to the side.
She seemed to be dealt with as she paused to try and figure it out once more as she paused to think.
There was something else on the mind as she crossed her legs under her. the gleeful giggle as she watched explosions and fire erupt from in front of them as he paused to think of what was going on once again.
There was silence as the screams of bandits finally died and both were greeted with silence.
"You know, as much as you want to admit it… I know you want to cause more and more fire when it comes down to it." Tina stated before she seemed to think of how best to cause a fire.
She knew more and more as she paused to try and tap on her legs, bored, tired, and unable to do much beyond a yawn.
She tapped him playfully on the nose, reminding him that she knew just how well he wanted to break free and do something crazy.
She wanted more violence, more insanity seemed to be dealing with chaos when it was all over, all beyond what needed to be done and dusted.
She could not properly understand what was going through Acer's mind but she could see the desire to be better than what he was doing. She could see a desire to keep being a warrior and a fun little teenager.
She liked that about him but she did not know, could not have possibly known when it came down the line.
She yawned, bored, and then looked to the side as she tapped on her knees, knowing whatever was to come next. She would be ready for it and she wished to be.
She was a lot more interested in it for now, in the amusement of the color and light she would bring to her surroundings now…. Yes, such a wonderful explosion of color and lights all over the place.
Whatever came next? It would be harder to deal with than ever when push came to shove.
Something about what he had to do next was…. Vexing, it was vexing to Tina and she knew she hated vexing sorts of things when it came down the line, whatever came next? She did not know if she did. It was not something to have been bothering them.
It was not meant to be done, not something that was MEANT to be done with, whatever problems Tina had with life. She blew them up, she liked that because it was simple and it was easy.
Now? She had to deal with feelings and problems and something about both that and what was expected of them had bothered the entire group.
Tina yawned and tapped her torn and battered hands on her legs. She was so tired and even carnage on a scale like this? It meant nothing as they had acted in a dozen different ways.
She had known this and she had acted, acted rather unfamiliarly with what was said and done.
Whatever needed to occur? It would and Tina would ensure it was fun, it was going to have been fun and fun for a long time.
Acer for his part was more confused, looking at the flames with an almost artistic view. She could guess these same types of bandits had some sort of hand in what had occurred to his ship.
Some people would lose their minds before they had gotten to Pandora, and some had totally like her retreated into an insane point where they sought shelter from the storm that was constantly battering them.
She did not know Acer but she wanted to. She wanted to see how it had been to burn things rather than just blow them up.
All she wanted to do was let things go and she could not see it go anywhere for now.
"You are weird, you know. Most people usually say something. I mean, it is cool if you do not want to… But it is kinda weird." Tina stated before she looked to the side.
Whatever came next? She wanted to be prepared for it and she knew damn well that Acer was not. Why? He did not realize that being on Pandora meant being willing to do bad things to win, she knew he did not and she pitied him.
To be fair, that also meant killing a lot of people but she killed a lot of people when she was done with it and she did not kill people without a reason. No, that was a lie. She would and could kill people for little reason, she just liked to have a reason to.
It was odd how often she killed people, how often she wished to have been dealing with something like this.
Tina sighed as she realized all she was going to be doing was growing before she looked to the side as she paused to try and figure it out.
Tina was ready to bolt and break into the ground, letting it burn. Such was just funny like that, she wanted it to be entertaining and it was, it was very highly entertaining now.
Such was life, life would continue to be entertaining when it came crashing down… All too much and all too easily.
Tiny hummed, watching the massive group of explosions that rocked the entire area… It was impressive for now as both were silent…. Something was too interesting for now.
She hummed, angling the toe of her boot at him before poking Acer in the side as he hummed, thinking of it once more.
He looked at her, watching as she raised an eyebrow towards him as she paused, thinking of what was going on now. Too much had been done and too much had been done now and for good reason.
He had a lot more on his mind than just Tina, a lot more. He was too much for her, like an explosive cranked up to 1000 and then forced down the belly of something giant.
He of all people was silent in what she had wanted… What she had expected. It was clear something was coming… But what it was eluded both.
"You talk funny," Tina stated as Acer rolled his eyes.
"You act funny," Halius stated as she poked his face again.
"Well, I'm fun, son." Acer heard as Tina rolled her eyes, and looked to the side, interested.
She and he of all people were silent as both did not at all know what was going on when it came crashing down to it… She and he did not know each other… But they wished to, they wished to know a LOT more than it should have been.
She poked at him for now as she looked to the side and she thought of it once more. She and he were intertwined in different ways, ones they could not for the life of them understand… Tina and Acer knew their paths would end eventually, just now sure where or even why it was the way it was.
But? They were ready for it as they would always be, ready for it to the end of the day. She and him were ready for something more.
Tina poked him in the arm as she and him realized they would be going crazy sooner or later… Sooner or later? They held such an idea as to HOW it would go.
Tina could not wait for it to go crazy, ready for it now and for good reason, this was fun, all too fun when it was all said and done.
She and he were not ready for now. It had to be figured out now and for good reason… it would be a lot more fun now.
They held onto it now when it came down to it as she wished to think of what was growing now as she paused to think of what was being done.
