Chapter 2: The Secret Crush

Finally Kinnara arrived at school, it was lucky that she before the school bell rang. She went inside and find her locker, she sighed as she recalled her meeting with Rob this morning.

Rob..is that really him? It's been months since I met him and he look pretty different now *sigh* I hope he still remembers me.

Suddenly, after she closed her locker, Gumball and Darwin appeared next to her, Kinnara was shocked

"GAAHHH! What are you two doing here?"

"You're acting strange today."

"So what?"

"Ummm, we were wondering that you have some kind of stuff we can help you with?"

"It's none of your business, Gumball. Just leave me alone!"

Kinnara answered coldly, she knew that Gumball would just annoy her like he always do.

"Dude, I know you don't like us. But we're trying to be friendly here."

"Gumball is right, we're just trying to be friends with you, Kinnara. It's just that you always being mean, cold and cynical to us, so it makes you look like hates both of us so much."

"Look, I don't hate you guys, especially you Darwin. It's just you guys are both annoys me sometimes and I hate annoying people."

Kinnara replied as she finished taking so of her books and closing her locker's door.

"So does this means that you're going to tell us what's on your mind right now?"

"No!"

It seems useless for both Gumball and Darwin to asked her even further, before Kinnara was about to leave them, she looked at them with a death glare.

"And don't even think of snooping me around and get on my nose for getting your silly answers."

(Lunch time)

Gumball and Darwin saw Kinnara sat together with Penny, Carmen and Sarah.

"Dude, are you sure it's a good idea to stalk her?"

" Relax Darwin, she told us to go near her. So, we're just follow her quietly."

"Won't she be angry at us if she finds out that we're following all day? She literally told us not to snooping around and get on her nose."

Darwin was worried that Kinnara might get angry, but his brother just ignored him. He literally determined to figured out who is Kinnara's secret crush.

"So, you have a secret admirer, huh?"Sarah asked her

"No, not really, Sarah." Kinnara answered with a blushing face.

"When did you guys meet?" Penny asked.

"This morning, I meet him when I missed the schoolbus, I was so late that I had to apple in exchange for breakfast."

"Ooo...a typical anime shoujo thing."

"Oh, shut up, Sarah. It's just a matter of coincidence."

"Well, I think that you and this mysterious guy sure have a lot of chemistry. I wish you have a good relationship like Alan and I do."

"Thanks, Carmen."

"I wonder who is this mystery guy, Kinnara?" Penny asked her, Kinnara was flustered.

"Uh...he's not that mysterious...I mean...he's just look like someone that I knew from the past. That's all."

"Well, we just glad that you have someone to like you, Kinnara. You're that one type of girl who is gentle but extremely cold and secluded owards others and this mysterious admirer of yours manage to opened your sealed heart and there's a red string on both of your pinkies which made you've been destined to be together."

Kinnara awkwardly chuckled for a little, it seems Sarah was right, she's a lot more sociable than before. Yet, she can't tell them about Rob since she doesn't even know if that's really him.

(At the school yard)

"You're still watching her?"

"Of course, Darwin. Just a bit more info about this mysterious guy that Kinnara likes, so we can definitely help her."

Darwin just sighed, Gumball was too determined to find out Kinnara's secret, even if that means he's going to awaken the sleeping lion.

Kinnara was sitting on the bench under the tree, she wore her earbuds and drew some scenery with her sketchbook, suddenly she heard some rustling noises from the outside.

"Huh?"

She took off one of her earbuds, put down her sketch book and approaches the noise, she gasped in shock after she knew who made the rustling noises.

It was Rob.

"Rob, what are you doing here?"

"Oh hi, Kinnara. I was um...delivering one of your school textbooks, you left it this morning after you accidentally bumped at me."

"No wonder I can't find my Biology Book in my bag, silly me."

Kinnara facepalmed and received the Biology Textbook, her cheeks became red after seeing Rob again. Was the whole red string of fate that Sarah just told her earlier was true?

"Hey Rob."

"Yes..?"

"Do...do you want me to duplicate my textbook to you?"

"You mean like copying some of the text? That would be fine, I'm no longer in school now."

"I know and I don't want you to miss your lesson so...um...I'll just copy some text in case you need one."

"Thank you, Kinnara."

Kinnara took her grimoire and opened it, she asked Rob one more thing.

"Before I cast my spell, do you bring an empty book or paper?"

"Well, I found this unused notebook from the trash, which I don't know if it was 100% blank or full of writings, but I saw some of the pages were blank."

"Alright, I'm gonna perform my spell."

Kinnara chanted some of the words from her Grimoire, not longer after that, some words appeared on the pages of the notebook that Rob brought.

"There all done."

"Thanks Kinnara."

"That's what I can do for now, Rob. Anyway, I have something to tell you."

"What is it?"

"It's um...uh...actually...um...uh, never mind. Sorry, I think the school bell just rang, I got to go now, bye."

Kinnara quickly picked up her stuffs and rushed back into the school building, leaving Rob with a confused look.

(Rob's P.O.V)

I finally meet her, I'm so glad that I could see her again. But at the same time, I'm afraid that she won't recognize me, I'm so scared that she completely forget about me. Although, she does remember my name, but I'm still scared to approach her. What if she doesn't know me? Even if I tell Kinnara how I feel, I don't think she will understand, like everyone else. I don't think I'm ready for the truth of how she feels and her answers after I confess my feelings. I should've been more open with her before I got sucked into the Void.

(Kinnara's P.O.V)

What on earth did I just do? I finally meet him but why am I running away? Why can't I just speak to him and tell him how I feel? Why I can't confess my feelings to him when I finally get a chance to meet him? *sigh* I'm such an idiot, I should've just confess my true love to him. But, will he remember me? Should I just asked him if he still remember me as his childhood friend? No, that will be too early for that, I don't think I will be ready if he answers 'No'. I don't think I will be ready if I ever get rejected by him, I should've been able to be more open up to him before he disappeared.

Rob is afraid that Kinnara would reject him for not remembering his name and himself, Kinnara is afraid that Rob won't remember her and forgetting all the things that they have done in the past due to an amnesia after getting out of the Void.
