After Percy got to the office the next day, he already had a summons to see the Sales Director. His manager emphasized that she had requested him specifically. Yeah, of course she did. But he couldn't say anything.

Thankfully, he'd already done the research into Mrs. Dodds. Again, she didn't exist in the company, but he traced an email registered to ' ' on the domain. He easily hacked in and saw that it had only sent three emails requesting to meet: one to Clarisse, one to Luke, and one to Chris Rodriguez.

Noting that the meeting with Chris wasn't scheduled until noon the next day, Percy planned to discuss it with Annabeth first thing. It seems she was on the same page.

"It's a fury!" Annabeth said as soon as Percy walked in. He hadn't even closed the door yet.

"Great! What's that?" Percy asked.

"Oh, you know, no big deal. Just one of the most feared monsters from the underworld! There are only three." Annabeth said. Wow, she really hated that purple shirt on him. Wait, focus.

"Yikes, any way to defeat them - specifically one we can prepare before noon?" Percy asked.

"Why? What happens at noon?"

"Chris Rodriguez has a meeting with Mrs. Dodds. While she's unlikely to kill him until he makes a mistake, I'd rather handle her when and where we know she'll be. It'll be more controlled." Percy said.

"That is pretty smart," Annabeth said.

"I can be smart too, wise girl." Percy teased.

"What did you just call me?" Annabeth asked. "Did you just call me 'wise girl?'"

"Huh, yeah, I guess I did," Percy said.

"Don't," Annabeth said.

"Right." Percy agreed easily. "So, how do we defeat this furry?"

"It's a fury, not a furry." Annabeth rolled her eyes. Percy just grinned back at her. "We need bronze. She's supremely susceptible to it."

"Okay, that sounds good. Where can we get some bronze?" Percy asked.

"I thought of that too. The hallways have bronze paneling with screws holding it in place, and I brought a screwdriver." Annabeth said, pulling it out.

While her office didn't have bronze paneling, the hallway outside did.

Percy focused on lookout duty while Annabeth pulled a panel out of the wall. They then quickly retreated into her office. It was 10:30 in the morning.

"Okay, I have a meeting shortly, but let's plan to meet back here in an hour. From there, we can prepare this panel, and then we'll meet Mrs. Dodds with Chris."

"Any ideas on how to prep a solid bronze block?" Percy asked.

"Not really, you?"

"Yeah, actually, I do," Percy said with a smile. Then he left her office.
