A/N: I only own the OC

Thank you for reviewing!

"Earth to Ash." Finn said and I looked at him. We were hanging out at Finn's that night. I had slept until 1 pm and Finn asked me to come over for dinner. I didn't want to, but he had promised Chinese food so here we were.

"Sorry, I guess I am still tired." I said and he chuckled.

"Right, you are thinking about that guy from last night." he said and I hoped that my face didn't give me away. I knew that he was talking about the time in the bar, but that wasn't it. I was so confused as to who he was or where he even came from on the sidewalk.

"No, I don't have time for that shit." I said and he chuckled.

"Speak of... Vero?" I asked him and he pursed his lips as he shook his head. I knew that he really liked her, but she was kind of crazy. He was always in trouble for something, and after awhile it felt like he was always trying to keep her happy instead of being happy himself.

"Sorry." I said and he chuckled.

"It's ok, but now you have to watch a scary movie with me." he said and I rolled my eyes, but agreed. He always wanted to watch scary movies, and I was the only one who ever wanted to watch them with him. He ordered the food and ended up choosing 'Land of the Dead' because he wanted to watch a zombie movie. We ate, watched the movie, and I ended up heading home around midnight. I lived around the block from him, so it wasn't a far walk. I headed out and pulled my jacket closer to me as the wind hit me around the corner. I got to the front of my building and looked up to see Wardlow standing there. I stepped back in surprise and he chuckled.

"Nice to see you again." he said and in a smooth voice and I nodded.

"You too." I said and stepped around him.

"I wait all this time to see you, and you're going to ignore me." he said and I pursed my lips. I honestly wasn't sure how to feel about what he was saying.

"I'm sorry? I just don't know why you were waiting for me." I finally said as I turned to look at him. I knew letting him walk me to my building would bite me in the ass.

"You intrigue me. You stopped to help a random person laying on the sidewalk... why?" he asked me and I rolled my eyes.

"Call me a dumbass." I said and he chuckled as he shook his head.

"I don't think you're that." he said and I finally got cold enough that I didn't want to do this anymore. I walked past time and went to grab the door handle, but he was right beside me. I gasped and went to step back, but forgot that was the stairs. He caught me before I could fall and set me upright on my feet.

"Thank you." I said and he chuckled.

"You can thank me by going to get drinks with me tomorrow night." he said and I looked at him surprised.

"I really don't understand why you are so fascinated with me, and I really don't like it." I finally said and he smirked.

"Drinks... and if you don't like me by the end of the night then I will just see you at friendly events." he said and I sighed. It almost sounded too good to be true, but I wanted him to go away.

"I will be outside at 7pm tomorrow. Dress nice." he said and disappeared before I could say anything else... he was good at that.

The Next Day...

I went for a walk in Central Park, did some grocery shopping, and generally tried to avoid thinking about having to go out tonight. I didn't know why I didn't care for him, but I didn't... there was something about him. He was charming, hot as fuck, and polite... but there was something else that I couldn't put my finger on it. Why had he been laying on the sidewalk? How had Finn not seen him? Was I going crazy? I kept asking myself these things all day. I finally gave in and got ready at 6:30. I put on a maroon capsleeve dress with pockets I had in the back of my closet, some black flats, and threw my hair in a simple updo. I really didn't care. I texted Rhea that I was going out tonight and sent her my location in case. She was excited when I told her who it was with, and I was glad that one of us was excited. My buzzer sounded right at 7pm, and I told him I would be right down.

I grabbed my coat and clutch before walking downstairs. I walked out and he looked so different. He was in a navy suit with a white shirt underneath it. He looked much larger than he actually was because his suit was like a second skin... and for whatever reason he reminded me of superman right now. He offered me his arm and I took it.

"You look nice." he said and I nodded as he chuckled.

"You too." I admitted and he lead me to a waiting car. I was thankful we weren't walking. I promised myself every winter I would leave New York, but I don't... and probably never will. He told them some address and the car eased into traffic. He wasn't talking much on the way, and I was thankful for that right now. We pulled up to a tall building, and he slid out as I followed him. He gave me his arm again, and he led me into the building. We went to the top floor which was the Westlight Bar. They seemed to know him as they lead up to a private area that overlooked the city. The view was amazing.

"Wardlow, I didn't think you remembered you owned this place." a man came up and I realized it was one of the guys from the other night.

"Hey, Max, yeah, I remember. You remember Ashton from the other night?" he asked him and Max kissed the back of my hand.

"I do... I'm jealous he got to you first." he said. They exchanged a few more words before he walked away. I had to admit I was impressed that he owned this bar.
