Danny rushed to Jimmy.

Danny told the boy genius, "Dark Danny told me they plan to attack the Ghost Zone next!"

Jimmy gasped, "Bouncing black holes!"

Jimmy said, "Get the others, quickly!"

Danny rushed off and gathered the other two Nicktoons. Jimmy explained what was happening.

Spongebob was scared, "The g-g-Ghost Zone?!"

"That's right," Danny said, "I know of a portal there, but you have to do exactly as I say, or you might get hurt."

"Maybe we should call in the B-team," Timmy said, "We could use their help."

"There's no time," Jimmy said, "Besides, we still have one more power source we haven't used."

"Right," Danny said, then he picked the three of them up and carried them over to his house. Down they went into the basement, where the portal stood.

"I'll get it up and running again," Jimmy said. He rushed around, flipping switches, pressing buttons, and rewiring the lab. Jimmy then turned on the portal from the outside.

Timmy clapped and said, "Impressive as always, Jimmy!"

"Thanks," Jimmy said. Timmy stopped clapping.

"Alright," Danny said, "Before we go into the Ghost Zone. There is one rule you mustn't break. Don't touch anything slimy."

Spongebob probed, "Any particular reason why?"

"Only ghosts can touch the slime," Danny replied, "If any non-ghosts touch it, they'll probably become ghosts."

Spongebob said nervously, "Got it."

Then, the four of them went into the portal. There were very few ghosts anywhere. Some were drifting along, minding their own business.

"Yeah," Danny admitted, "These guys are used to visitors by now."

They came to the central hub of ghosts. The spirits seemed to be scarce even here, which puzzled Danny. Jimmy set up his invention on a floating island.

Spongebob drew the symbol of Jack on a piece of paper and recited the spell. The report was blown away from his hand, and the Ghost Zone immediately grew cold. Colder than it has ever been, the few ghosts that were around were stopped in their tracks and quickly rushed into shelters. The shield became covered in ice as well. But it didn't stop there. A long spike of frozen water overgrew as the Villian's ship approached the central hub. The ice spike grew so fast that it impaled the boat. It was stopping them in place.

Timmy was surprised, "Woah, That was awesome!"

Nearby, a light blue Hexagon with four limbs and three subtle yellow lines started glowing.

"You must be Jack," Jimmy noted.

"I am," Jack said, then pleaded, "Please hurry; I can only hold the bridge for a few hours."

The Nicktoons quickly made their way up to the ice spike and boarded the ship. Immediately, the villains and heroes engaged in a fight. Timmy used his wand to wish for an Anti-fairy catcher and started containing the fairies. Jimmy and Evil Jimmy began to argue.

"Your weapon is too destructive," Jimmy said.

"You're one to talk, Poindexter," Evil Jimmy said, "You could have destroyed our world so many times over."

They continued to bicker in the background. Danny and Dark Danny faced each other. Dark Danny charged at Danny. The heroic Phantom dodged, and they started floating all around the ship in a chase. Natalie and Willy up against SpongeBob, throwing beams, and Willy unsheathed his sword to try to cut the Sponge. But SpongeBob was too quick and clever to be hit. He got plenty of hits on the attacking Villains.

Eventually, Evil Jimmy and Dark Danny were the only villains standing. Timmy sends all the Anti-fairies back to their world. SpongeBob had exhausted Willie into Stopping, and Natalie immediately turned her attention to trying to nurse the pirate back to health.

Dark Danny gave up chasing Danny as he felt himself fading again. A growing sadness was threatening his anger. He rushed away into the hull of the ship. Evil Jimmy stopped bickering with Jimmy and realized he was alone.

"This ends now," SpongeBob said, "Evil Jimmy."

Jimmy stood aside as SpongeBob stepped to the clone. The Sponge pulled out a soap bottle. He pulled out the wand and blew a bubble around Evil Jimmy. The clone tried to pop it. Spongebob had enchanted it so the bow wouldn't burst. He then sent the clone floating into a portal back into the dark matter dimension. Willy and Natalie quickly recovered. Willy charged at Danny with his blade. Natalie also attacked Timmy and Jimmy with magic—the two boys could defend themselves.

They started fighting, and SpongeBob descended into the ship after Dark Danny. Dark Danny was huddled in a corner, his form flickering as a few tears escaped his eyes. SpongeBob took a deep breath and approached Dark Danny.

"It's not fair," Dark Danny murmured repeatedly, "It's not fair; it's not fair."

SpongeBob asked, "What's not fair?"

Dark Danny was caught off guard and looked at SpongeBob.

Dark Danny hissed, "Leave me alone; my goody-goody self can face me for a fight on his own."

SpongeBob said, "That's why I wanted to talk to you; I don't think he wants to fight you anymore."

Dark Danny got excited and asked, "Is he already evil?"

SpongeBob shook his head and said, "It's because Danny knows your just the ghost of a future that never happened now."

Dark Danny got upset, "That's not true; he can turn any minute. I need to find a way of making his ghost self feel as bad as me."

SpongeBob sat beside Dark Danny and asked, "How did you get like this?"

Dark Danny answered, "He watched his family and friends die before us. It was too painful for either of us to carry. So, he took me out to ease the pain. I got so angry I,"

"Destroyed him," SpongeBob said knowingly, "And became this over time?"

Dark Danny shrugged, "More or less."

Dark Danny sniffled, "It's unfair; we were supposed to be a team."

Dark Danny was fading away a little bit, so he grew angered. It helped a little.

Dark Danny growled, "I won't let him win; not everything I had to endure."

SpongeBob asked, "Have you had time to mourn any of this loss you're carrying?"

Dark Danny shook his head.

SpongeBob took Dark Danny's semi-transparent hand into his spongey grip.

"Take the time now while you still have the chance," Spongebob said encouragingly.

Dark Danny burst into tears.

"I miss them," Dark Danny whined, "My mom, dad, sister, and friends. They're gone, and my body is gone too, but I'm still here."

SpongeBob said, "You don't have to be; you can let go of your evil and ascend to greet them."

Dark Danny asked, "You honestly believe I can see them in the afterlife?"

SpongeBob smiled warmly and replied, "I do. You have to allow yourself to let go."

Dark Danny then picked up SpongeBob and hugged him tightly.

"Thank you," Dark Danny said between tears, "That means so much to me."

Instead of disappearing, Dark Danny was transmuted into a cluster of bubbles in SpongeBob's arms. The cluster of bubbles floated away as Spongebob allowed himself to drop to the floor. Then, Spongebob returned to the deck to see Natalie and Willie fighting against the rest of the Nicktoons. Timmy, Jimmy, and Danny were struggling. It looked like Natalie was hardly trying, and Willie was halfway to death's door and was fighting for his life.

Spongebob muttered, "Well, this is a problem."
