19. Chapter 19 - Author's Note

Hey everyone.

This is not an update to the fic. This is more of an update to the progress of the fic, in a way.

I haven't been really able to motivate myself to write the next chapter of this fic for a lot of reasons, but the primary reason right now is that this fic was a brainchild of myself and, to a certain extent, the creative ideas of the person who was my romantic partner when the fic began.

In May 2023, this person and I parted ways after three and a half years together, and while we remain cordial, I have been struggling with the process of getting the next bit of this fic out into the world, even though I've known for over a year what I want the next few chapters to look like. This is because I was going through a lot of stress during the last year of that partnership, and I struggled to maintain my creative process at the time.

The good news is that my creative writing bug seems to have not only bit me, but struck me across the face and screamed at me, so I have been planning out the next bit of the fic properly for a few days now! I also graduated from university in May, and will no longer have homework or exams to push me backwards.

I won't make any promises because I can't guarantee how my life is going to progress, but I am going to try to go back to regularly updating this fic. I want to give you folks the progression and ideas that you deserve and have come to expect from me. I love this fic, I love what I have so far, I love what I have planned, and I love you, the readers, so much, especially right now.

Please stay tuned - and I promise I'll delete this cringey-ass Author's Note once one or two new chapters are released.

As a sneak peek, I will let you know that the next chapter will, at long last, be the wedding - with a cliffhanger appearance by an unexpected guest at the end!
