Special Containment Procedures: The suburban town of [data expunged], Ohio has been destroyed by order of the O5 Council and is instead transformed into a Foundation Recon Base as well as a testing center. D-Class who have managed to live longer than a month are regularly sent here to sleep as means of testing to see the capabilities of SCP-AAW. Should Foundation staff get sleepy at the Foundation Recon Base they are to evacuate immediately and leave SCP-AAW's area of influence. There have been several mobile mini bases placed with comfortable bedding for anyone who wants to sleep. Foundation staff that fall asleep within SCP-AAW's area of effect are to be deemed KIA and their bodies to be incinerated. There are no exceptions.

Description: SCP-AAW is the once suburban town of [data expunged], Ohio that has been cursed by SCP-AAW-1. When someone falls asleep inside SCP-AAW's area of effect, they end up falling into the domain of SCP-AAW-1. SCP-AAW-1 is the now deceased individual known as Freddy Krugger, who now appears to have burnt skin and clothing and has gloves with blades attached to the fingers.

SCP-AAW-1 likes to torment and eventually kill everyone who enters his domain as his revenge against the original inhabitants of the suburban town. SCP-AAW-1 has full control of the dream realm of SCP-AAW and can even prevent people from waking up no matter what they try. SCP-AAW-1 even has the ability to possess people in the dream world of SCP-AAW and use their bodies in the real world to kill people and even temporarily leave SCP-AAW's area of effect. However, the longest it has ever been known to do this was 1 hour.

SCP-AAW-1 was discovered in 1984 when a series of anomalous deaths and disappearances were reported in the suburban town of [data expunged], Ohio. Two Foundation Field Agents went to the area only to find nothing and decided to go to bed that night resulting in the death of both agents. After extensive observation it was realized that the entire town was under the area of effect of the anomaly. As such the town was evacuated and all the citizens were given Class F amnestics as they and their families were relocated to different towns.

It was only after the Foundation recon base was constructed that the full extent of SCP-AAW was discovered, though excessive life of D-Class personnel was and still is required for testing. To prevent civilians from interrupting testing or falling into SCP-AAW's area of effect, the road leading to the Foundation Recon Base has been destroyed, the only way to properly enter is through helicopter. SCP-AAW's area of effect has been fenced off with the cover story being it's a nature reserve area for local endangered species.

It is impossible to have consistent communication with SCP-AAW-1 so interviews with the anomaly can't be made despite it being a sentient entity. However, in the brief communication that has been recorded SCP-AAW-1 has expressed hatred towards the Foundation for taking away its prey and limiting its food supply to a bunch of random D-Class. As such SCP-AAW-1 seems to be performing its own experiments to see if it's possible to escape from its realm. This has led to often erratic and unpredictable behavior from SCP-AAW-1, leading to its Dual Object Classification of OVM and Euclid. The OVM is by no means an exaggeration as its quite possible that SCP-AAW-1 can have the same reality manipulative abilities should it ever cross over into our world.
