Chapter 16: Fitness Fiend

(On the unlucky 13th floor of the hotel)

The elevator arrived at the 13th floor and Luigi and the others stepped into what looked like the lobby of a fitness gym.

Diddy Kong- Oh no! Out of all the themes they could've chosen for this floor…why did it have to by a gym?!

Bandana Dee- Something wrong?

Diddy Kong- Yeah! Donkey Kong is always working out and lifting weights. And he sometimes forces me to work out with him! Keeps telling me it's good for my health! I know that exercise and good health is what helps everyone live longer and better, but I'm more athletic than bulky. And the weights Donkey Kong forces me to try and lift have nearly crushed me like a bug numerous times! Which is why I do aerobics with my girl, Dixie Kong to improve my flexibility. But regardless, this makes me think of all the times DK has tried to make me as muscular as him by pushing me too hard!

Luigi- Sorry to hear that, Diddy. Maybe we can talk to Donkey Kong about that after we've rescued him from his portrait.

(At the swimming pool of the fitness floor)

Luigi, Diddy Kong, Bandana Dee, Tails, and Rottytops arrived at the pool after going around all the other parts of the gym. As Luigi was looking around his environment, a dodgeball was heading right at him. Luigi panicked and hid behind what looked like a score screen.

Luigi- That was close!

Then Luigi peeked his head past the score screen to see a ghost with large muscles swimming in the pool. He was also bouncing the elevator button on his dancing pecks before grabbing the button again. He also grabbed another dodgeball in the pool.

Johnny Deepend- Think fast little man!

Then another dodgeball was heading towards Luigi and Luigi hid behind the score screen again as the dodgeball bounced off of it. Tails attempted to stun him with his flashlight but Johnny Deepend dove under the water to avoid the flash.

Johnny Deepend- Sorry dude, but you can't flash me without jumping in to the water yourself!

Then Johnny threw a dodgeball at Tails, but Tails managed to dodge it.

Tails- Problem is I'm no better at swimming than Sonic…

Then Tails saw a valve on the other side of the pool.

Tails- Luigi, I believe that's the control for the pool's drain! If we can reach that valve…

Luigi- I'm on it! Gooigi!

Then Luigi let Gooigi out of its tank and had to slip between the bars blocking the other side of the pool. However, Johnny Deepend popped out on the other side of the pool and spat some water on Gooigi, causing him to dissolve.

Johnny Deepend- I'm not letting you ruin my pool fun that easily, little man!

Bandana Dee- Is this guy a jerk or what…

Then a dodgeball was thrown at Bandana Dee, but Bandana Dee ducked in time.

Tails- I think he heard you.

Bandana Dee- Two can play at this!

Then Bandana Dee picked up the dodgeball he dodged (no pun intended) and threw it at Johnny. Even though Johnny Deepend was a ghost, the dodgeball hit him in the face and knocked him under the water. While Johnny was getting himself back together, Gooigi, Diddy Kong, and Rottytops got through the bars and hid behind columns in the pool area before Johnny Deepend could notice them. Gooigi also managed to put Rottytops back together and in the right order much faster than Diddy Kong ever could.

Johnny Deepend- That wasn't funny, pumpkin head! Have another!

Johnny Deepend threw another dodgeball at Luigi, Bandana Dee, and Tails. But after avoiding all the dodgeballs, Luigi managed to suck on out of the pool with his Poltergust G-00 and spit it out right back at him. And when Johnny was stunned by the dodgeball again, Gooigi, Diddy Kong, and Rottytops rushed to the valve and turned it to drain the pool.

Johnny Deepend- What? Hey! What's going…

Then Johnny was spinning around in the pool like a whirlpool until he was stuck in the pool's draining hole.

Johnny Deepend- Hey! Get me the hell out of this!

Luigi- No problem…

Then Tails flashed him with his flashlight and Bandana Dee sucked Johnny Deepend into his Poltergust. Then Bandana Dee's Poltergust spat out the elevator button for the 14th floor. Luigi walked up to the button and picked it up.

Luigi- Finally! Only two more floors and we can finally save Mario and the others from King Boo!

Diddy Kong- You really think we'll find them there?

Rottytops- The only floors we haven't been to are the 14th and 15th floor. They have to be on one of those two floors.

Luigi- Come on! Let's install this into the elevator!

(Back at the hotel elevator)

Luigi, Diddy Kong, Bandana Dee, Tails, and Rottytops returned to the elevator with the button to the 14th floor.

Rottytops- That was one interesting theme this floor had. Almost wonder what theme the 14th floor will have.

Diddy Kong- As long as it had nothing to do with fitness and exercising, I'm ok with that.

Tails- Guess we'll find out once we install the elevator button.

Luigi- Ok. Let's-a go.

Then Luigi installs the elevator button in its slot, but as soon as Luigi did, a purple ghost cat popped out of the elevator wall and grabbed the button for the 14th floor in her mouth.

Luigi- Huh…?

Then the Polterkitty swallowed the button and jumped down to the lower floors on the hotel.

Bandana Dee- What was that?

Diddy Kong- I don't know, but it just stole the elevator button to the next floor right after we got it!

Tails- Damn it! Now we have to chase after that cat!

Luigi- I know…
