Hey, It' me again. Again thanks for reading my story. Well before we start, Now story enter the Riser's arc. Lot of you guys already knew how the story started in the anime.

For example, Rias is engaged to Riser. Issei and her peerage play a war game against Riser, but Rias loses in the end. Later, the main protagonist (I mean issei) rushes to the engagement of her, disrupts it, and saves Rias from him. It seems simple, but in this story something different will happen. I think some of you guys maybe already guess it.

Ddraig Talking ( )

Talking " "

Boosted Gear [ ]

24. Unexpected..

"That means a high-class devil is coming to school tomorrow," I told Ddraig.

(Why is that a problem for you, partner?) he asked.

"No, not like that. I think I know who will come tomorrow," I said confidently. It's Riser Phenex. I know why he's coming, but I don't know what kind of decision I'll have to make about this.

Riser Phenex is a high-class devil from the Phenex clan. He is known for his powerful fire abilities and his arrogant attitude. He is going to be engaged with Rias Gremory, the president of the Occult Research Club.

But I am sure it's not good news for me. If is really Riser, he may be here to finalize his engagement with Rias, or he may be here to challenge her to a Rating Game. Either way, I know that this is going to be a difficult situation for Rias.

"Well, let's take care of all that tomorrow. Now let's go home, Ddraig," I said, changing the direction I was walking down the road and turning towards the house.

(What are you trying to do at home? It's not even dark yet) he asked.

"I have some homework to finish today," I replied. Ddraig's voice was not heard at the same time. I'm sure He doesn't like the word "homework" either.

I sighed. "I know," I said. "But it has to be done."

Ddraig made a sigh with me.

(I suppose you're right, Partner. School is important for a human) he said.

I laughed. "No, I guess not," I said. " it's a necessary evil for a teenager like me" We walked in silence for a few minutes, each lost in our own thoughts. Finally, Ddraig spoke up.

(So partner, what do you think is going to happen tomorrow?)

I shrugged. "I don't know yet," he said. "But I'm sure it won't be boring." He started to laugh.

(That's for sure,) Ddraig said.

"But I'm not going to worry about it tonight. I'm going to finish my homework and then go to bed."

(Sounds like a pain in the ass,) Ddraig said. (I'll contact you tomorrow then)

"See you," I said. Boosted gear went to sleep mode.

I walked up to the house and opened the door. I went into my room and sat down at my desk and opened my backpack and took out my homework. I sighed and started working.

It was going to be a long night because of this.

Next Day...

"Good morning Hyoudou"

"Hey Good Morning"

I am in school now. Aika Kiryuu greeted me with a smile in her face. I believe this is third time she called my name after Dohnaseek erased her memory, However, Katase and Murayama have not made any progress with me either. While I was lost in thought for a moment, the teacher in charge of the class entered the room and began teaching. The morning was as ordinary as always.

"Issei Hyoudou !?"

Two periods had ended. I had been free for most of the morning, but no one had called me to the student council yet. Maybe it was because that devil was coming to school today.

Just then, Saji came into the classroom. "Saji! What is it?" I asked, surprised to see him. He had never come to my class before.

"Ah, listen, don't ask any questions. Just come with me now," Saji said. I stood up from my chair and followed him out of the classroom without getting a proper explanation.

"So, is something wrong?" I asked as we walked down the hallway.

Saji nodded. "Yes, Issei. Rias-buchou told me not to tell you this, but I wanted to tell you anyway. Go to the student council office right now. Quickly," he said, and then suddenly he left.

I was confused and a little worried. What could Rias have told Saji that she didn't want me to know? I hurried to the student council office.

(Is something wrong partner ?)

"I don't know ddraig, But..."

When I arrived, I saw Sona and others are sitting in the couch.

I saw Sona siting a couch. Her face looked very sad. I looked over at the man, who was standing with her. He had his arm around Sona's shoulder, and he was pressing down on it, causing her pain.

"Oh!" he said, "who are you to jump in the middle of a conversation without any respect rowards us? Wait! Sona, maybe this is your pawn?" he pointed at me.

Rias winced as he pressed down on her shoulder. "Yes, he is my pawn, Riser," she said. Sona's face twisted into an unpleasant expression as his hands tightened around her shoulder.

Riser released his hand. "Well, I apologize for touching you," he said, though his tone did not sound apologetic at all. "But I don't know why you're here, boy. This conversation between me and Sona doesn't concern you."

'What the fuck! I'm in her peerage, you fucker!?'

I tried to process what was happening. Only thing that came to mind is why was Riser sitting next to Sona?

"Good morning Kaichou," I said.

I greeted her with a polite nod, then my eyes darted to Riser's face.

"Who is this?" I asked, my voice rising slightly. "And what is going on here?" My gaze swept over the group, including Tsubaki. If Tsubasa and Saji hadn't told me about this, everything that was about to happen would have already happened.

The crowd ignored me as I tried to get their attention. Rias approached Sona, concerned.

"Sona, you don't want to do this. This could have been a problem for me, but now..."

Rias started to awake her voice.

"Let's solve all this with a rating game," she further asked Sona. But Sona shook her head. "No Rias, my sister also abandoned me. I'm ready to accept all of this as my fate."

Rias' hands were clenched tightly, and I could see the anger and sadness in Sona's eyes. I could imagine what had happened here.

Sona turned to Riser, her face a mask of determination. "Riser, let's go." She didn't look at anyone else, not even her own peerage. They watched in stunned silence as she stepped through the portal, Riser following close behind. It's teleportation circle that belongs to phenex clan. I can figure that because of the flames that emanating from the circle's outside.

"Let's go then Sona" He grabbed her hand and pulled her inside.

Just before she disappeared completely, Sona turned back and spoke a single sentence. "Tsubaki. Can you come with me?" The other girl's eyes widened, and Tsubaki nodded quickly. Then she too stepped through the portal, and they were gone.

The crowd including me stood there for a moment, stunned. Then, slowly, they began to disperse. Everyone knew what had just happened. Sona had been forced to engage with Riser, and she was taking Tsubaki with her to the Underworld.

"What the hell was that?" I made a question.

Anyone from peerage don't know anything.

"I'm sorry Everyone!?" Suddenly Rias started to apologize.

"Rias buchou, Can you explain this!" It was Reya who asked the question.

"That man is high-class devil called Riser phenex, Rias sighed.

"My parents had decided to have an engagement between him and me a few months ago. But I already decided to break the engagement with him by using a rating game as a excuse"

I nodded, as I had already know about this from the anime anyway.

"But suddenly that decision changed," Rias continued. "Now Riser is not going to engage with me, but with Sona."

"Huh! Rias-buchou, I don't quite understand M" I said. "Who would change such a decision? The Phenex family?"

Rias shook her head. "No," she said. "It was the Devil Council."

I was surprised. "Why would that council change the engagement?" I asked.

Rias sighed again. "It's a long story," she said. "But basically, Now the Devil Council believes that Sona is a better match for Riser than I am. they are doing this because to make a strong bloodline"

Rias smiled sadly. "Devil Council doesn't care about power or anything. They care about politics. And they believe that Sona is a better political match for Riser."

'Politics!, Don't make me laugh. I am the reason for all of this.'

I had joined Sona's peerage a few months ago, and ever since then, things had been going wrong. As soon as I joined Sona's peerage, the Devil Council forced Riser onto her.

I knew who was behind it. Dohnaseek. Because he was another reincarnator just like me, and he knew the plot of the story. He was probably trying to defeat me before I could defeat him. And it was also likely that he was related to the Devil Council I always had my suspects.

I knew I had to be careful not to act impulsively, but I also knew that I had to do something to protect Sona. She was my king, and I couldn't just stand by and let her be harmed and most importantly It may affect my future as well,

I decided to gather more information and then make a plan of action. I would need to enlist the help of my friends and allies, and I would need to be prepared for anything.

I knew that this would be a difficult fight right now, but I was determined to win. I would not let Dohnaseek or the Devil Council take away my freedom or my friends. I would save Sona, no matter what it took.

"The devil council decided to do this marriage because they want to protect the pure bloodline of the devils,"

Rias began to explain further. "The birth rate of devils is really low. Because of the great war that happened a long time ago, many pure devils died. And, a female devils rarely gets pregnant. This is the reason why we reincarnating humans as devils and trying to increase our population" she sighed.

"So when there is a need to preserve the pure bloodline, the devil council arrange marriages like this. I hope you all understand this."

Rias's explanation is quite reasonable. The devil race is in danger of extinction, and they need to take steps to preserve their bloodline. Reincarnating humans as devils is one way to do this, but it is not enough. They also need to make sure that pureblood devils marry each other and have children.

Of course, this is not an easy task. Pureblood devils are a small and elite group, and they are often very proud of their heritage. They may not be willing to marry someone who is not a pureblood devil, even if it is necessary to preserve the race.

The devil council is hoping that by forcing Rias to marry Riser, they can set an example for other pureblood devils. They want to show that even the most powerful and prestigious families are willing to make sacrifices for the good of the race.

Now the problem is those fuckers changed their mind.

"I understand what you said. But what about the politics you mentioned a while ago?" I asked her.

"Yes," Rias said. "The reason is that the devil council has lost its power to control the underworld and my brother said, they are trying to get Serafall Leviathan's support for them through Sona."

Serafall Leviathan is one of the four great Satans, and light novel says that she is the most powerful female devil in the underworld. She is also the older sister of Sona Sitri.

So the devil council has been losing power for a while now. The Great War weakened them, and the rise of the new generation of devils has further eroded their authority. Serafall Leviathan is the only one who can gave them power.

That is why the devil council is trying to force Sona to marry Riser. They believe that if Sona becomes the wife of Riser from phenex clan, it will give them the legitimacy they need to control Serafall Leviathan.

Even though Sona is refusing to go through with the marriage, but the devil council is not giving up. They are determined to get their way, even if it means using force. thats why she already gave up.

This is a dangerous situation for me and others. It seems like the devil council is a powerful organization, and they will not hesitate to use their power to get what they want.

"But you can't save her, Rias-buchou?," Momo said, speaking up for the first time. "Tell Lord Sirzechs to save kaichou."

"I'm sorry, Momo," Rias said. "I already told my brother about this, but he can't interfere because it was Serafall's decision."

"What?!" I exclaimed. "Rias-buchou, are you saying that Serafall wants Sona to marry Riser?!"

"Yes," Rias said, her voice filled with frustration.

Wait, Wait, Wait!!!

I was confused. The plot was completely messed up. It's like my head was spinning. For the first time, I felt hopeless. 'Will I be able to fix this?' I asked myself.

It took a while for the other girls to ask some questions from Rias one after the other. I didn't want to take it personally, so I didn't listen to their conversation. After a while, Rias received a call on her phone and left the council office.

Anyway, I realized one thing: Sona had already made her choice. She had already told Rias several times not to try to save her. Tsubaki also knew all of this, but she didn't say anything.

"Fuck!" My rage is began to increase. It wasn't for Sona or anyone else. It was because of my fear. Fear for my future. What if Sona abandons us all? The fear that all of these things would overwhelm me started screaming in my heart. I suddenly punched the wall, and the wall cracked a little.

"What is this? I have no way to vent my anger?" I regained my composure and turned back to the group, including Tsubasa. "Sorry, I'm leaving now. I'm sure kaichou will be back in the afternoon, and I'll be back then." I said so and left.

Few moments later

(Partner, are you having a problem?) That's what Ddraig asked.

"Hmm, yes," I said. I came out of the council room and went straight to the rooftop. I did that to clear my mind.

"Ddraig, I know what will happen in the future. But in this world everything is started to change in a way that I didn't expect. I thought to stop the mistakes I made in my previous life, I thought of going on a different path. But now, I'm not so sure. Because of me, Life of Sona's started to.messed up.

(So what are you going to do now?) Ddraig asked.

"Let's see. We have to do something crazy don't we" I asked.

"Let's go to our classroom now" After that I straightly went to my classroom.

In the Evening.

I received a message on my phone while I was in the classroom. It said to come to the student council room after school. I surmised that Sona might be getting ready to give her final speech as our peerage leader. I told Asia everything and dropped her off at home before returning to school. I walked straight to the council office. Almost everyone had arrived when I entered. They were all seated. Sona and Tsubaki were sitting by themselves, and they had sad looks on their faces. "Come sit down, Issei," Sona invited me. I silently sat down in a nearby chair.

"Well, now everyone knows about my situation," she said with a hint of sadness in her voice.

"I suddenly have to get engaged to a man named Riser. The engagement is in three days." Everyone's eyes widened in surprise. "What?" they all exclaimed. Even Tsubaki looked shocked. "But Kaichou, isn't this marriage too urgent?" Momo asked.

"It was a decision that came from above," Sona replied. "My parents agreed to the proposal, and even my sister. I have no choice in the matter. I'm sorry." She stood up and bowed her head to the group.

"Kaichou!" everyone cried out, worried.

"Don't do this!" Tsubasa tried to convince her, The group was left stunned and silent for a few moments. Then, they all began to talk at once, trying to make sense of what had just happened.

"Now, the most important thing," she said in a clear and direct voice. "Everyone, listen to me. As of today, you will no longer be in my peerage. I have decided to trade you with the peerages of my other friends."

As soon as those words were spoken, the group erupted into a cacophony of noise. Momo was the first to speak, her voice filled with shock and disbelief. "Kaichou, what are you talking about?" she asked. "You can't do this!"

The other girls were just as stunned. Reya and Ruruko were speechless, and Tsubasa and Tomoe could only stare in disbelief. Tsubaki, who had been standing by Sona's side, remained silent, but her expression was one of deep sadness.

I can agree with her decision. I'm sure Sona had thought this decision through carefully. She didn't want to go with her peerage to a pervert like Riser.

Sona raised her hand to silence the group. "I know this is a difficult decision," she said, "but it is the only one I can make. I cannot allow you guys to go with me. Riser is a dangerous man, and I would never forgive myself if something happened to my peerage."

The conversation among the them was increased. Reya and Ruruko were speechless, and Momo continued to question Sona. Tsubaki stood aside and watched. Tsubasa and Tomoe were listening to what was happening.

Momo shook her head in denial. "But Kaichou, we're your peerage!" she said. "We're supposed to be with you, no matter what!"

Sona sighed. "I know," she said. "But this is not my choice. It is my parents' choice, and I have no choice but to obey them."

Tears welled up in Sona's eyes as she spoke. She could see the pain and confusion in her peerage's eyes, and she knew that she was hurting them. But she also knew that she was doing what was best for them.

"I'm sorry," she said, her voice breaking. "I really am. I have no other choices." I could see tears welling up in her eyes.

The group was silent for a moment, each girl lost in their own thoughts. Then, Momo spoke up. "We understand, Kaichou," she said. "We'll do whatever you need us to do."

The other girls nodded in agreement. They knew that Sona was making a difficult decision, and they respected her for it.

'Wow that was fast!'

(Indeed it is) Even Ddraig also agreed to that.

"Ok let's talk for little while"

We all sat in silence, even Sona. They said they agreed with her decision, but I could tell that no one liked it. Tsubaki spoke first, her voice thick with sadness.

"I've found some good peerages for us," she said. "Sona-kaichou has already spoken with the relevant people. But even though I'm sad, I have to say this: we're all going to have to part ways. I don't know if we'll ever meet again. Because at some point, we'll all have to leave Kuoh, and we'll all have to go our separate ways."

No one tried listened to Tsubaki's story. They were all lost in their own thoughts. Tsubaki finally spoke up. "I have to stay with Sona-kaichou for a while," she said. "Issei, what are you doing?"

I snapped out of my reverie. "Nothing," I said.

"Listen carefully to what I'm saying," Tsubaki said. "You may be a latecomer, but now you are one of this peerage. We need to stick together if we want to get through this."

"I'm sorry," I said. "I'm just trying to process everything."

"I know," Tsubaki said. "But we don't have time for that. We need to start planning our next move."

"Can't we stop this?" asked Tomoe. "I mean, Rias-buchou, I told you about a rating game, didn't I? What's that?"

"We can't do that," Tsubaki said. "A rating game is a battle between two peerages. We don't have that much strength."

"I don't think so," Ruruko said, pointing her finger at me. "The Welsh Dragon is with us."

The others made smile at this. Even I smiled. I didn't care how we did it, as long as I didn't have to be separated from Sona's peerage.

"If that Kaichou want, I'll go and smash that man called Riser," I said with a smile.

Sona shook her head from side to side.

"No," she said. "I won't allow it" Sona said.

"Why did you say that, Kaichou!?" I asked her.

"You're underestimating Riser, Issei," she said. "I know you're one of the strongest person I've ever seen, but Riser is like Immortal. He has unlimited stamina and can regenerate from any injury. No matter how much damage you do to him, he will just keep coming back."

I was taken aback by her words. I know Riser well. In the anime, Issei defeated him by sacrificing his hand to Ddraig and using holy water to weaken his ability to heal. Riser has the powers of a phoenix, but he is just a devil. That's why he lost before. But I can defeat him without holy water. Because at this point, I can use one of my trump cards against him.

"But Kaichou we have try right?" I not giving up.

Sona walked towards me and stood beside me. She slowly grabbed my hand and squeezed it tightly, saying,

"Issei, promise me that you won't do anything. Please, this is my last request. I want to keep my engagement with him. Do you understand what I'm saying?" She said this with such conviction that I could not see any lies in her eyes. I was puzzled as to why she would say that. In the end, I decided to respect her wishes.

"Fine," I said, letting go of her hand and walking out of the room.

I didn't know what happened after I left the student council office. I didn't want to know. When I first came to this world, I wanted to follow the plot. But in the end, I left Rias and came to Sona. But now I have to go back to someone else. I don't know how this will affect my future. But if only I had a master who could give me freedom. I don't know what's happening in the world anymore.

I kicked down the door of the abandoned church where I used to train in the early days. I came here to clear my head and think about my next steps.

(Partner, are you just going to give up now?) Ddraig said. He said that because I had agreed with Sona's statement.

"Yes, I don't have any other choice. I can't ignore her last request." I still had some anger in my heart towards Riser. But he's not that bad. In the anime, after training with Issei, he becomes one of Issei's friend. But not many people know about that because it was only shown in an OVA.

"Come on, let's go." Before I left, I felt like someone was watching me.

"Hmm, what's that?" I looked back into the forest, but I didn't see anyone. So I left and went home.

Kuoh Academy

"Rias, I don't know what kind of talent Issei has, but he felt my familiar watching him," Akeno Himejima said, looking at Rias, who was sitting on the ground. She smiled softly.

"Who knows?"

Akeno asked again. "Rias, are you going to help Sona?" Rias nodded.

"Yes, Akeno, because this is my mistake. Maybe if I had agreed to this engagement, this would not have happened to her." Rias's face looked sad.

"That's right. But now, what are you trying to do to save Sona?" Akeno asked.

"We can see that Issei doesn't like this engagement. The way he's been acting, Sona must have told him not to do anything," Rias said, leaning back in her chair and beginning to fantasize again.

"Let's make him go against Sona's orders."

"But how?" Akeno asked.

Rias quietly got up from the chair, called her familiar, and handed her an envelope. "Go and give this to my brother. Remember, don't even think about getting caught by my sister-in-law." Her familiar, dressed in a red dress, vanished from there.

"Fine. To night he will talk with Issei" she sighed.

'I'm sorry, Sona. All this is to save you. Please don't hate Issei' She had made her choice, but now she was starting to have second thoughts.

Night fell. I was reading a book in my room when suddenly the whole house was enveloped in a strange and powerful aura. My left hand began to shake. At the same time, the Boosted Gear appeared in my left hand.

(Partner, something's wrong,) came Ddraig's voice from within the Boosted Gear. I immediately opened the door of my room and jumped out, simultaneously opening the door to the room beyond.

"Asia, are you okay?" I called out. I saw that Asia had fallen asleep on the table where her books were kept. There was nothing suspicious around. She was sleeping peacefuly. Suddenly, the Boosted Gear began to flash and beep.

"Make it stop, Ddraig!" I told him.

(I'm trying to repel the aura around the Boosted Gear,) Ddraig replied.

Finally, I managed to calm the Boosted Gear down. However, even I could not tolerate the strange aura. I decided to go downstairs anyway. As I did, I saw that my mother and father were also asleep on the sofa.

"Hey, are you Issei Hyoudou?" a voice suddenly called out to me. I turned around and saw a man sitting at the dining table.

He was tall and handsome, with shoulder-length crimson red hair and blue-green eyes. He was wearing a black suit and tie, and he had a kind and gentle smile on his face.

"Hello, Issei Hyoudou," he said. "My name is Sirzechs Lucifer. I'm the current Maou of the Underworld."

I was stunned. I couldn't believe that what in the world Sirzechs was doing in my house. "It's an honor to meet you, lord Sirzechs" I said politely, well he is demon lord after all.

"Please, call me Sirzechs," he said. "We're going to be working together a lot from now on."

I didn't know what to say. I was still trying to process what is about to happen. And most importantly why he is here?

"I know this is a lot to take in," Sirzechs said. "But I'm here to make a request."

He stood up and walked over to me. He put his hand on my shoulder and smiled. "I believe in you, Issei hyoudou," he said.

"Please break Sona's engagement with Riser."

"Huh!"

It was going to a long night...

Again...

The plot is progressing as I expected. You might be wondering why the story is not going in a different direction. Even now, Issei is still on track to defeat Riser. But there is a reason for all this.

For example, Dohnaseek tried to annoy Issei so he can defeat him easily, but in his fight between issei and him, Issei was unable to kill him. Dohnaseek may still be pulling the strings from the shadows.

The Issei in my story is currently suspicious of an organization called the Devil Council. I don't want to reveal the identities of the higher-ups yet, but I will try to do so. See you in the next chapter. Well I have some surprise for you guys.

The thing I always wanted to do.

"Make a strongest peerage for our Protagonist"
