Chapter 8
Jamie Pov
After she left, I stayed in the tub, wondering if I was doing the right thing here. If I choose her, I will betray my family, my life, and everything I stand for. However, if I don't choose her, I will betray myself and my heart. Now I must decide if it is worth losing my family for a new one with honor. I lean back, wondering what I will do now. After what seems like a while based on the wrinkles in my skin, I get out, grab a towel, and wrap it around my lower part. I walk out to see Levette looking through the paper, and as I look closer, I see a lot of letters that look like jumbled letters, but they are actually a code for which I don't know. She looked up at me, saying, "You know, if you were any other person, I would kill you, but you're lucky. Are you done with your-" She blushes and looks back at the paper, realizing all I have is a towel. I smirk and lean closer to her and whisper in her ear, "It's ok to keep looking; I don't mind. Besides, I thought you were used to seeing a man's body because you spend so much time with your brother." She speaks softly, keeping her head down, saying, "Not like that... "I don't fuck my family like someone I know." She covers her mouth and looks away as I shrug it off while sitting down on the bed. I said, "You know, it wasn't me who started it; you know, Ceseri was always very headstrong and very persuasive... "Maybe I was just naïve enough to believe her back then to be ok with everything. How was she before you escaped?" She kept looking at her letter, saying, "Ok, I guess she didn't like me very much and chose to talk openly about her displeasure with me quite often." Hearing that made me sad. I know Cersei hated Levette, but for what reason, I'll never know. She turned around, looking at me, and said, "Anyway, you need to eat and then sleep because tomorrow you're meeting someone." She got up and laid down next to my side, putting a cover over me. I got myself something to eat as I looked out the window, wondering what would happen next.
The next day

Levette'sup to see Jamie asleep next to me. I smile softly and start to get dressed, choosing simple clothes disguised as boys. I look at my hair and see a small patch of white starting to form behind my ear. It looks concerning that a patch of my hair is turning white. I snapped out of my thoughts to hear Jamie, sir, and woke up, which made me hide my hair quickly to deal with it later. After a while, we got something to eat, mostly staying in silence as we didn't want to speak about what was to come. He will have to make a choice, and I'm afraid he will choose Ceseri and be with her. I know he cares for her, but somewhere deep inside I wish he cared about me at least. Well, if he chooses her, I must already be out by then and heading towards the north to join. After we ate, I heard a knock on the door as I said, "Come in." Lord Varyis came in, looking at us and then at me with his fake smile, saying, "Hello, lady Levette... "I must say death became you."

I look shocked that she said that sneaky snakes will sell her out faster than she can say no. Why would she trust someone like her? She looked at me, smiling softly, before saying, "Now then, the map I requested." He handed her a document, saying, "You know there's quite a big price on your head, and yet you're here asking me for a favor." She looked up at him while looking over the paper, saying, "True, we must do things that may not be pleasant but can better the people and who we work for. Now, what does Tryion have planned for when Stannis stacks this? If he does, then I will need any and all information on the guard and who will be guarding the ladies and such." Lord Vares looked at her with an amusing smirk as a guard showed up with a knife to her neck. As she looked up at Vares with a glare that can kill anyone, I kept the knife from this morning in my sleeve, ready to strike Vares. As he said, "Well, as much as I would love to help you, unfortunately Ceseri has a huge price on your head as well as keeping the peace, I mean the dragon you ride off in... Amazing, might I add, but only the Targaryens are known for their dragons, and less than a bastard was able to tame one. that might be a threat to the realm itself." I look at her shock and stun... She got a dragon; he must be kidding or something. I saw Levette stand as she grabbed a cup and filled it with wine, taking a sip before two guards showed up, killing the other guard and keeping a knife at her throat. I never believed who it was.

I took a sip of my wine, signaling to the guard I had before hand in case this deal with Varis goes south. One thing working with varies is to always have a trump card unless you plan to get stabbed in the back. The guard came in, killing all but Vares and Jamie. They removed their hoods to see Sergeant Barston and Sergeant Clegene. I sit down holding my wine and say, "You honestly think I came here empty handed? I'm not stupid or nave as people think. I knew you were planning on doing this. Now here is what you will do: you will help me get my sisters no matter what, and then after that, you will never speak on what happened in this room ever against... Unless you want me to tell everyone how you got the master of ceremonies along with a place on the council, I think that certain people will love to know that they might even put your head on a spike along with what's left of your jewels. "If you're lucky, either tell us or they will kill you." Lord Vareis tried to act all calm, but I can tell he was scared and terrified. He straightened his clothes, saying, "Well, I guess I should, but how will I know that you won't kill me after you get what you want?" "Words are easy to say, but action speaks louder." I get up, grab a glass of ale, and drink a little of it, saying, "You are correct. We have both used all of our favor, and the only thing I have to keep you from hurting is my word on not telling... You could trust me. scine im ned stark daughter bastard or not, his blood flows through my veins, and his loyalty and lessons are also drilled into me. "Thou I know you so here." She handed him a paper wishpering in his ear, "something to keep your mind open in case being king landing lap dog doesn't work." It was something only in the rumors I heard, and I kind of hope deep down there that it is false, but at least it will keep from coming after me for a while. Varys left shortly after. I know it was too good to be true, so it's best I leave now. I said, "Let's move, boys." They start to walk out with me as we move toward the alley and backway, avoiding him in case he betrays me.

I'm still in shock that Levette was able to do that and live. We reach toward what looks to be a tavern as they all walk, getting a booth in the very back. I said, "Okay, now what in the seven gods is going on, and how do you know it varies or even this?" "Better yet, how are you so calm?" Levette grabbed me and took me to a small alleyway away from both of them she looked up at him, saying, "I'm not calm, I'm scared and terrified." I just scared someone like Vares, who can destroy me if my threat turns out to be false. "But I need my sister. I promise my father to always protect me, and if I have to make a deal with the devil, then I must for them. If I don't, then how can I go home and face people again?" She rests her head against my chest as I rub her head softly. Deep down, I understand her. She got off of me after a while, wiping her tears, and straightened herself out before going back to Sandor and Barston. They talked for a while about their plan, and I stayed out of it, knowing I had no part in it. Sir Barston said, "Though I want to help you as a favor, I can't... I have business clothes. "I wish you luck and pray to the gods that you are successful in your endeavors." He got up, and Levette walked him out to talk while I and Sandor stayed behind. I said in a cocky voice, "So why is the loyal hound here? I'm surprised you have any kindness in you." He growled, looking away, saying, "Shut up, Jamie. I stayed for her; she was decent and kind, which is something that you will never have. "I don't mind helping her." I chuckled and said, "If I didn't know any better, I saw you in love with her... Well, I wouldn't get your hopes up. She is with me, and soon she will be marrying me. He growled at me, saying, "Shut up, Lannister, sh*t, you honestly think you will stick around with her before your sister shows up." I grab his collar and hold a knife to his neck, saying, "You should be careful, hound, or I might just have to take care of you." Levette walked into the room to see us; she turned back around and toward the door, saying, "Don't kill each other... Afterward, you can, but not now. "Now let go; it is almost nightfall." She walks away, and both of us follow her. I kept glaring at the hound, thinking he had too much nerve to talk about what was mine. ...wow. I snapped out of my thoughts as we got on our horse and rode toward the king's landing.
