Role Reversal ~ Part 2

Summary: Sequel to Role Reversal. What if Keith were the prince and Allura was the pilot? Please read Role Reversal before reading this one.
Author's Note: So, this story is the continuation of "Role Reversal" which was a challenge from the former KAEX group member, Cheetoy. In this case, Keith is the Prince and Allura is the Alliance pilot. It's hard to believe that it's been almost 7 years since I finished it. I've reread it several times since and it's one of my favorite stories. I decided that it was finally time to brush the dust off the sequel that I started writing when it finished. I scrapped the chapter and a half that I had written and began again. I hope that you enjoy learning the rest of the story.

Chapter Thirteen
Several days later…
Prince Keith, Allura, Lance, Hunk, and Pidge were all in their respective lions. The lions were heading back to Aurs and would soon enter the jump gate. The Alliance fleet was going to finish up at Doom. Zarkon and his children had all fled with half of the Death Fleet once it was obvious that the Drules were going to lose. It was decided by the Voltron Force, Romelle, and Admiral Graham that Haggar's death would be announced but no one would know that she died by Keith's hand… literally. All of them worried that if the strength of Keith's magic were known, he or Allura might become targets for someone wishing to use his power.
Sven was going to take Romelle home to Pollux and would be setting up an Alliance base there. He would serve as a back-up pilot if needed, but Kara would be heading back to Arus after assisting Sven. She would continue her training as back-up and be stationed on Arus. It seemed that the Alliance didn't have an ulterior motive with her after all.
Back on Arus, Nanny and Coran were planning a small wedding to be held soon after the pilots return. A large grand affair would be held a few months later where the people could attend. But Keith and Allura didn't want to wait. They had waited long enough.
The question remains… will it be happily ever after? Will Keith's dark side stay under his control? Will someone wanting Keith's power try to force something? Will Merla give up now once Keith is married, and she no longer has Haggar to help her? So… maybe it's not just one question, but many. I leave you to decide the answers.

I hope you've enjoyed my sequel to the twisted storyline that started so many years ago. It seems that after VLD, not as many people are into DotU but I still love it. :-) I don't have any other stories for Voltron in the works right now, but you never know when the muse will strike. And yes, I did tie this up rather neatly. There are many directions it could have gone, and who knows, I may eventually explore some of those 'what if' scenarios. ;-D But I can't stand finding a story I love and then the author doesn't finish it. I know that there are sometimes good reasons, but sometimes the authors tell me that just didn't feel like writing it anymore. And I couldn't do that with my story! Now I'm on to finish a Hardy Boys story I started several years ago as well.
