Literature Club Learning the Fairy War

Chopper and Chifuyu are within the Literature Club right after meeting those mysterious strangers came to Chifuyu's house and kidnapped Madoka, and now they have to inform the others about the duel they've been challenged which they are not going to like.

"Where are they? They should have been through the portal by now!" Chopper said, freaking out a bit.

"We send them the emergency text, so they should be here any second now. I hope…" Chifuyu hugged tightly on her stuff squirrel.

Then five seconds later, Jurai was the first one to come out followed by the rest of the Literature Club each with worried faces save for Robin who has her usual calm expression, but she is also worried on the inside for her youngest students.

"Chopper! Chifuyu! We came as soon as we could when we got your message, what's the big emergency?" Tomoyo asked.

"Did something happen to our school? Did someone discovered our power and is blackmailing us to do whatever he or she or they want?!" Rebecca asked worry.

"Perhaps we should let them explain their situation first before asking more questions." Robin stated.

"Okay, you guys might want to sit down on this because what we're about to tell you may be a bit much." Chopper advised as he pulled up a chair.

"Chopper, we're kids and one adult with freaky superpowers. Whatever you have to tell us, we can handle it." Jurai grinned as everyone sat down.

(One Explanation Later)

"…Okay, I was not expecting that." Jurai commented with a shocked expression.

"Your friend from elementary school got kidnapped by other people who also have powers like us and challenged us to a fight for some Fairy War to get her back?" Shirahoshi asked nervously.

"That's right, I don't know what all that stuff they were talking about, but consider they just showed us they also have their own powers mean what most of it they were saying were true." Chopper nodded.

"And they were also spying on all of us, learning about our activities and our powers." Chifuyu nodded.

"But how? Robin-Sensei is our lookout girl, and she always knows who's coming and nearby!" Tomoyo gasped.

"If these two are professional spies, then know about my powers as well, then it's highly likely that they have been doing this in places where I haven't done my powers on." Robin theorized.

"I'm more curious about this Great Fairy War they mentioned and there are other people with powers going at each other like… like it's a war for dominate over land to become the superior being to all races!" Jurai said dramatically.

"Normally, I would write that off being your chuni, but now I'm thinking those scary guys sound like that." Hakoto gulped while hugging herself a bit.

"Well, it's pretty obvious of what we have to do." Sayumi said.

"Ask them pretty nicely to let Chifuyu's friend go?" Shirahoshi asked, hoping it would come to that.

"Doubt." Sayumi instantly crushed Shirahoshi's idea much to her dismay.

"We go there, accepting their challenge to fight, and hope for the best to win and save the little girl before anything bad happens." Sayumi decided on the plan.

"Yes, for all we know, they could be torturing her worse than any little girls can handle until she tells them everything they'd want to know or something just about her personal life." Robin stated the worse thing that could happen to Madoka with a straight face.

"Now is not the time to be freaky with your words, Robin-Sensei!" Tomoyo yelled at her teacher.

Jurai was being silent for a moment, thinking about what Sayumi said about going to meet those mean guys who dares take away an innocent girl who has the coolest name in the world and challenge them to probably a very intense fight that involves using their powers. He didn't like the idea of fighting others with his powers, maybe for self-defense, but never in a serious fight.

However, it doesn't look like that in this situation things are going to work out with his stupid and awesome big talk to get those people to let Madoka go.

"You don't like violence much, do you?" A girl's voice asked.

"Yeah, you know I'm never much of a guy who hurts others, Hakoto." Jurai nodded.

"Huh, Jun-Kun, that wasn't me." Hakoto pointed at herself as she didn't even say anything to him yet.

"Wait, that wasn't you?" Jurai asked surprise.

"But I thought I heard someone talk to me just now." Jurai said.

"Well, it wasn't any of us." Rebecca shrugged.

"Maybe we should ask the tiny girl on the table if she said anything." Robin pointed down at the table.

Everyone blink twice at Robin thinking she must be trying to tell a joke, but they also know that she rarely makes any jokes, and they slowly turn their heads down to where Robin was pointing at until they spotted the "tiny girl" on the table who literally is a tiny girl.

"Hello everyone, it is very nice to finally meet all of you in person." The tiny girl greeted with a respectful bow.

"Are you… a fairy?" Shirahoshi asked.

"Indeed, I am. My name is Mansherry." Mansherry revealed her name.

Mansherry has very thick and wavy blonde hair, partially tied up in two buns, that covers her body and tail. She wears a short white dress with stockings and shoes of the same color. Her eyes are light blue. She also has two small, green flowers in her hair. On her back are yellow and green transparent wings.

Everyone in the room went silent for a moment which has Mansherry concern and thinking that maybe she was revealing herself too soon, but she knew she had to do it in order to fill them in on what's been going on.

And they all took a deep breath.

"NO WAY! A REAL FAIRY!" They screamed that spooks the little fairy girl.

"I can't believe we're meeting a fairy in the flesh! Finally, one of my inner fantasy lists of things I wanted to do was to meet a fairy and it happen!" Jurai shouted excitedly.

"Come on, this has to be a trick! There's no way a fairy is here and real!" Tomoyo tried to process all of this.

"Excuse me, but is it true that fairies can talk to animals?" Chifuyu asked.

"And what about making other people fly like in the story of Peter Pan?" Rebecca asked her own question.

"Well, we do communicate with animals and that one was actually from one fairy long ago who became friends with a human boy." Mansherry answered each question.

But suddenly Mansherry screams in realization that she shouldn't be wasting time like this, and the others were spooked of her sudden scream.

"What am I doing?! I need to inform you about what you're getting yourselves into!" Marsherry screamed.

"Please listen to what I have to say because this is utmost important." Marsherry said as she flies up a few feet.

"Please share us your wisdom." Chifuyu said, pleased with seeing the fairy some more.

"You see, the Fairy War is a big competition organized by other fairies who to have humans fight among each other while granting them each their own special powers to make the battle more "entertaining" as they put it while gambling on who would win." Marsherry started explaining about the Fairy War.

"The Hell?! Those fairy fuckers are making battles fun for them to be amuses!" Jurai gasped, feeling angry and spook the fairy girl.

"I'm sorry, it just how most of us fairies feel whenever we wish to see something unexpected and bored out." Marsherry apologized and bows at Jurai.

"Hey idiot, don't be hard on her! She obvious doesn't like how this game of theirs goes." Tomoyo smacked on Jurai's head.

"So, they would have others fight each other to the death?" Rebecca asked nervously.

"Well, actually, it wasn't like that in the previous ones because they always believe humans fear death so much. But unfortunately, that rule was changed in the last Fairy War making this a truly death competition." Marsherry mentioned, looking sad.

"Well, that's just fucking great." Tomoyo exclaimed.

"Oh dear, my father would not approve of me going to a serious death match!" Shirahoshi gulped.

"Don't worry, the good news is that when the battle is over, you can be revived back to life. Good as new." Marsherry informed.

"Wow, that's actually good to know." Chopper smiled.

"But there's a downside to that rule when you lose a battle, right?" Robin asked, suspecting there has to be a catch to that.

"I'm afraid you're right. When you lose a fight, either defeated or by death, you lose the powers that were granted to you and the memories of ever being in the competition at all will be gone." The fairy girl revealed shocking the others.

"We would lose our memories?!" Chopper gasped.

"Only during the times when being in the Fairy War and having powers. All the experience of having the powers and fighting other power users would also be erase." Marsherry explained.

"I see, these fairies have been hiding from humans for a very long time, it'd make sense that they don't want their existence to be known even when one of those participants loses." Jurai figured that much out.

"Correct." Marsherry nodded.

"Not only that, but every battle that happens will be invisible to the human eyes, so they won't be able to see the battles that are taking place even when it's right next to them. And when the battles are over, the damage that have been done to the area will be repaired to keep the humans from notice anything odd." Marsherry explained.

"Wow, you fairies sure don't want to be traced back." Tomoyo asked.

"You know, hearing this Fairy War sounds familiar, like how humans battled in the Roman Colosseum, where combatants known as gladiators fought each other to death to entertain the audience." Robin mentioned.

"I guess you could say they took the idea and made it their own." Marsherry sighed.

"But what I don't get is that why are these crazy wars happening and why now with us?" Tomoyo demanded to know.

"The Fairy Wars don't happen very often, probably just every few generations or so until the next one happens. But not like this one…" Marsherry clutched onto her skirt.

"Not like this one? What do you mean?" Sayumi asked.

"You see, the last Fairy War, the Fourth, ended over seven months ago and the war we're in now is the Fifth war." Marsherry revealed with her eyes covered in shadow.

All the members of the Literature Club are shocked to the core by what they just heard from Marsherry, she explained that these Fairy Wars only happened every few generations and now she's telling them this battle just happened recently.

"B-But how? I thought you said these fights wouldn't happen until a really long time later!" Shirahoshi shook in fear and leans onto Jurai.

"That should normally be the case… Until the last winner of the Fourth Fairy War changed all that with his wish." Marsherry said.

"A wish? You mean the winner of these Fairy Wars would be granted one wish?" Sayumi asked shock.

"That's right, it can be any wish you want with almost no limits. To be the strongest or smartest in the world, to breathe in space with no suit, walking in places that are impossible like the sun, even bring things to life like fictional characters. All those things. Even immortality." Marsherry stated.

"Wow, that's like how the Dragon Balls work in the Dragon Ball franchise!" Jurai commented of amazement.

"Yeah, there's also having the power to take over the world and all that shit!" Tomoyo pointed out.

"Yes, the last winner could have wished for anything he wanted. But out of everything, he made the one wish none of us expected." Marsherry started to cry, and Robin handed her a tissue.

"Thank you." Marsherry thanked and blew on the tissue.

"The wish this winner made was to start another Fairy War, didn't he?" Jurai guessed, feeling that might have been the case.

"Yes, I'm afraid you're right." Marsherry nodded.

"For real? But why go through the same thing again after winning the whole thing?" Hakoto asked shock.

"I don't know, nobody knows why the champion made that wish. But we do know that he had some fun in the competition and enjoyed the experience of things being unexpected. Way better than normal." Marsherry recalled hearing about this.

"Not only that, but he was the one who added the death rule in the fifth war." Marsherry mentioned.

"Okay, now I'm feeling like we should get out of this as quickly as possible!" Hakoto worried.

"But can we even leave?" Rebecca asked.

"You can, just talk to me and I can get you out of the Fairy War though that would also mean erasing your memories like I said." Marsherry said.

"NO!" Chifuyu shouted, surprising everyone.

"Chifuyu, what's wrong?" Tomoyo asked.

"I'm not backing down! Have you guys forgotten about Kiki, my best friend was kidnapped, and we need to save her!" Chifuyu reminded her friends about Madoka.

"Nice to know you're being the voice of reason here, Chifuyu." Robin commented.

"Don't worry, we haven't forgotten about Kiki." Jurai said as he stood up.

"Jurai?" Shirahoshi wondered what Jurai is thinking right now.

"Tell me, ever since we've gotten these powers, have you been keeping the battles away from us?" Jurai asked.

"Kind of, I've just been watching over you guys these past months and saw how you have also been keeping your powers a secret that the other teams haven't notice a thing." Marsherry shook her head.

"But even so, I knew that the battles would come to you eventually." Marsherry said.

"I see, and were you also the ones who gave us these powers?" Jurai asked.

"Yes, it's the duty of those who works in the Fairy War to do so onto the humans we've been assigned to." Marsherry nodded, answering the question honestly as well.

"Well then, guess all I can say is thank you." Jurai smiled. This confuses the little fairy of those words and the other members.

"If you hadn't given us these powers then wouldn't have to experience the big adventure we never get to have! Discovering a whole new world that I could only dream of became a reality like the very Heaven themselves chosen me and my fateful companions to be one of the mighty ones to battle any injustices!" Jurai stated grinning in his chuni dramatic way.

"Oh great, now he's in the mood again." Tomoyo sighed.

"You gotta admit, Jun-Kun always seem to make any sad situation into an exciting one." Sayumi smiled.

"All the things we did together, like discovering more of what our powers can do and… I even got to have my beloved mermaid." Jurai smiled at Shirahoshi.

"Oh, Jurai." Shirahoshi smiled back.

"Doing all that stuff together with everyone has given me more courage to express my feelings to Jurai, even more so as a mermaid. So, I'm glad to have these powers if it means bringing us closer than ever!" Shirahoshi expressed and kissed him on the lips.

"And I know the rest of you guys are still thinking about rescuing Chifuyu's friend and give those guys a good beating for bringing someone outside of our group to be use as bait." Shirahoshi pointed out.

"She's right, I cannot forgive myself if anything were to happen to that girl." Rebecca vouched.

"Those fools are going to regret the day they ever mess with us." Sayumi determined to teach those bullies a lesson they'll never forget.

"I'm going to do my best to help save Chifuyu's friend!" Hakoto smiled cheerfully.

"Damn it, guess I got no choice. Besides, from what I heard; these make it sound like we're babies to deal with." Tomoyo grinned.

"I can restrain them so you can all give them a good beating." Robin offered the idea.

"Everyone, thank you!" Chifuyu cried with tears of joy.

"Does that mean Mirei will join you as well?" Marsherry asked.

"You see, you welcome her into your and I registered her as your member." Marsherry mentioned, but she is suddenly grabbed by Robin holding her up to her face.

"She will NOT take part in this battle. Do I make myself clear?" Robin asked in a harsh and dark tone. Marsherry nodded rapidly as she does not want to anger this woman.

"Alright, let's go!" Jurai declared.

(Combat Fighting Gym)

"So, you actually show up." Blueno said.

"I thought you were going to run away like scared little babies." Kalifa chuckled.

Standing in front of the two are the Literature Club members with Jurai standing in front of the group to make himself the leader.

"Prepare to lose in my darkness!" Jurai said.
