Note: Quests with "!" at the start are "Life-long" quests. You are given the rewards of the Objective right when you complete it, no matter what. They are also the one of the 2 types of quests that you can't reject. The other type of quest that you cannot reject is the one that's given in a life or death situation.

"If the loudness really angers you this much, then why didn't you try talking to this "Baka Red", as you call him, and tell him to just... Stop being so loud?"

Ophis had a thinking look on her face is what I would say, had her face not look dead every second of every day.

"No. Help me reclaim silence." Seems I won't get the easy way out...

"Let's make a deal. You help me with my goals, I help you with your goals. A win-win for the both of us." I knew I was pushing my luck now.

Thankfully, Ophis was basically a child, and a child will accept basically any deal, so long as they get what they want.

"Deal." Her dead voice still sent shivers down my spine. I mean, how can one person sound this... Lifeless?

She teleported out of here, presumably to Khaos Brigade.

This left me all alone to think about my game plan.

Hey, didn't the quest say I would get the rewards once I completed the task?

It is in your mail. The mail is a system that we use to give the player the rewards, while not notifying them, since it may be deadly to them. Since this is regarding the Life-long quest, we have put a few restrictions on the rewards, so as to not take the Gaymer's attention had they been in a life-death situation.

Weird, but kinda understandable. Weird because, while the rewards didn't give off a notification and instead went straight into my inventory, this went into mail.

I guess these quests are just that much more different. I should look into that later.

No, Skill Books cannot kill you. They, however, can give you curses. However, you can easily identify the safe ones from the curses. The curses will have .exe at the end. Kind of like PC viruses.

It's named "Rank-Up", yet there are no ranks for skills. It means that it gives 25 levels to skills.

Hmm. Could I use it on my Corruption Mastery?

Yes, you can use it on any skill that has a leveling system.

Alright, then I'll use it on my Corruption Mastery. It's the best choice I have right now, and it would massively benefit me.

If I could stay in the Corrupted Form for the entire duration of a fight, then I would always have big stats and enhanced abilities.

I would use it on "Entropy?", but right now, Corrupted Mastery is better. Since "Entropy?" benefits from attack effects, my boosted attacks from my Corrupted Form would make "Entropy?" that much stronger.

Alright.

How did yo- never mind. You probably knew what I was gonna say. As much as I don't like to say this, I am pretty predictable.

"Skill: Corrupted Mastery. "

Corrupted Mastery(Level 27) :

Control your corruption! Allows you to stay in the Corrupted Form for 4 minutes, and allows you to choose when to transform (Level 50 Requirement).

4 minutes is a big improvement. Most fights take longer than that, yes, but the fact that you also regen the Corruption every time you get hit, and when you damage others, this would make me able to stay in the Form for... If my math is right, up to 7 minutes, if we continously fight without break.

That is a massive improvement from 60 seconds.

Now, to see where I am. By walking in a straight line until I hear a water running, then by going to said water and following the stream, I should be able to find humanity.

At least, that's what my 6th grade survival teacher taught me.

And so, I did exactly that. I ran in a straight line for 2 hours, found a stream of water, followed it, and I got to some cities.

I then walked up to a person and asked them, "Hey, can you tell me where we are? I got lost in the woods on a trip and I'm trying to find my home town, Kuoh Town."

He looked at me for a second, then said, "We're in Aki Town, which is right next to Kuoh. If you take a right here, you can get to Kuoh in 15 minutes. Just go right from here, and then walk in a straight line." He informed me.

Due to his kindness, I decided to be Mr. Beast for a moment, and gave him 1000 yen.

I don't know why the fuck I did that, considering I needed that money to afford a appartment, but it seems that all of the "Kindness content" got to me.

I thanked him for helping me, and he thanked me for the money.

Well, following the directions he told me, I found myself at a border, which said,

"Welcome to Kuoh Town!"

I had arrived. Now, just to get an apartment and to get to the academy...

So, our protagonist managed to get out of the situation and even made a deal with out favorite loli dragon? Nice.

So, I'm gonna explain some stuff here.

1. How does the main character look like?

Basically, he has black hair, black eyes, and is fit (like basically any protagonist lololol), plus his right hand is a bit bigger than his left hand (his right hand is the one that fires the floods. Its canonical, so it's not due to him jerking off like most of us). Basically the normal anime protagonist.

2. How do the A/N's work?

Well, the one at the start is about the writing and when I started when I finished. The one at the end, like this one, is more for explaining and for ranting.

3. Is the mc gonna be op fast?

Nuh uh. Plan for the story to be at least 20 chappies long until he's Satan class (satan class isn't even that strong. I mean, we have serafall, who, I'm sorry but, is quite weak compared to other Satans just as ajuka.).
