Chapter 1: Books and reality.

"Toko! Toko come look!" Komaru hastily ran down the street as Toko lingered behind, almost begging for air. "W..w. What? Why are you so e..e.. energetic?"

"Look Toko! A book store!" The younger girl smiled as the writer almost collapsed at her feet. "Oh wow... a book store." She hissed. "Let's relax here a bit. I know you've been wanting some new material... so..."

"Relax? You definitely dragged me here on purpose." Toko sneered.

"Well you could at least be a little grateful." Komaru sighed before opening the door. "My lady~" she gestured with a smirk. With a light glow on her cheeks, Toko timidly walked in with a hand on her stun gun. "My lady Hu?" She chuckled to herself as the familiar smell of books filled the air, making her feel at home.

With a wide smile, Komaru plopped a bag onto a dusty table. "If you see anything you like don't hesitate to grab it."

Toko let a small smirk show as her hand ran across several spines of the abandoned books. She was able to pinpoint her own works along the shelf, with hesitation she picked one up. "It's been so long..."

"You're going to read your own book?" Komaru made the writer jump. "M..mmMaybe! Or if you were interested..." She mumbled the last part to herself. The hand hovered to a lower shelf as a new book was chosen. "Aren't you going to look for the manga section?" Toko huffed. "Oh? Sure, that's a good idea! I didn't even think about that."

"What? You want me to read you something?" Toko was being sarcastic but Komaru just smiled. "Would you? That sounds relaxing to me!"

"WHAT?! I..I was j...joking!" Toko swung around but looked to the side with a soft blush. "J...Just go look for something too! I can't stand the burning feel of your stares."

"Fine, but don't miss me too much Toki~" The younger one skipped away happily, which she regretted instantly. Her foot just happened to get snagged on a loose floor board, sending her to her hands and knees. "Ouch...uh?" When she opened her eyes they landed on the manga that dropped perfectly in front of her nose. The cover had a picture of a girl on it, that happened to look a lot like her companion. The only difference was the hair color, but other then that she looked like a perfect match. With curiosity, Komaru opened the first page. "Rated M Hu? Well... let's look."

It was definitely a romance, but as Komaru read the first page she wasn't quite sure. The main character, that looked like Toko, seemed to be a loner. "Let me guess, a new student comes along and captures her eye. If he looks like Togami, I'm putting it back." She quickly flipped through it but to her surprise she was half right. There was a new student, but it was a girl. "Oh? I bet they become friends... let's see..." she flipped the pages a bit more for the feel, then she saw why it was rated the way it was. The main girl was sitting in a closet. Which wouldn't be too out of the ordinary, but she had her underwear pulled down to her knees and her hands... Komaru slammed it shut. "Nope!!! Nope!! Nope! Too much!"

"What's too much?" Toko peeked around the corner with several books tucked closely to her chest. "N...nothing! I was um..." Komaru shyly scooted the manga away. Taking one more glance at the character on the cover before standing up. "Looking at a manga with lots of blood and guts ~ oooooo~ oh." Komaru tried to play it cool but Toko just stood in disbelief. "Whatever... hurry up. We don't want to run into any Monokumas."

"Yep, sounds like a plan to me!" Komaru shuffled uncomfortably as she took just one more look at the book. ..." Mmmmm fine, but if I feel uncomfortable again you're coming right back!" She argued with the item as she quickly snatched it. "And maybe the next few if you're good!" And with that, she carried the first four books of the series to the bag, making sure Toko wasn't interested before sneaking them into their own private pocket.

After a long day of clearing Monokumas, the duo decided it was time for a well deserved break. Toko sat herself at the desk in their hotel room, to work on her latest project. As for Komaru, she decided to give this manga another look. She covered the front with her hands as she snuck a few more glances at her partner. She didn't seem to care, good.

A few hours passed by. Komaru read on as she learned about this Toko-esk high school student named Kagami Sasaki. Kagami, from what Komaru had read, was an introvert that loved to read and will pop earbuds in her ear whenever she had the chance. The music was used more of a distraction from the people around her then anything. Komaru imaged the music was likely classical, but it was not clarified. After the introduction, it didn't take long for it to introduce a new transfer student, and after a few chapters Kagami accidentally runs into her in the library. Hands touched and they blushed. Feelings arose in Kagami almost overnight. And thus the closet touching began. "Wow that escalated fast." Komaru mumbled to herself before thinking, 'That is so like Toko.' Her eyes glanced up and wondered, 'Would Toko fall for a girl? Na, she is way too into Togami... what about me?' She glanced down at the graphic pictures once more. There wasn't much to read, but as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. A few panels graphically shown every hand movement and breath the character took. To Komaru's surprise, she was into it? A warm sensation took over her cheeks, and her legs began to rub together all on their own. 'Oh no! Please not now!' Komaru begged her own mind. She quickly finished the chapter, but now she NEEDED to put down the book. Quickly it was stored under the bed. "Hey Toko? Would it be alright if I took a bath? I think the dust from the books got all over me." Komaru nervously chuckled. "W..why are you asking me?" Toko responded, without looking up. "So you don't worry, and to let you know I'm taking over the bathroom for a little while. I'm just being courteous." She teased, getting the other to look up. "Sure, fine. As long as you don't expect me to join you." Toko huffed before turning back. "I was hoping you would say that." The young one sighed in relief as she collected her things.

It was a great idea to take a nice warm bath. Komaru instantly felt better after shedding her clothes. The steam from the water filled the air as she slowly sank into the liquid bliss. She hummed softly, releasing the stress, while leaning back against the side of the large tub. Now she could think in a safe space all to herself. "So... me..." she awkwardly started to talk to herself. "Girls uh? I wonder if I'm just going through a phase." She lightly traced her stomach in the water, tickling quite a bit. "It's been awhile since I've talked to a boy, Togami was the last one I can remember but..." thinking of him in a romantic way made Komaru gag slightly. "Alright... what about Yuta?" She knew he was younger, but it had been awhile since she even thought about dating. "Young, slim but fit..." she felt sad after the thought. "I hope you made it out alright Yuta." She clinched her fists but quickly took a breath. "Alright, what about girls?" The only girl Komaru could think about in that instant, was Toko. "Toko: she's fit too, Slender legs, long tangled hair, beautiful eyes..." Komaru continued to ramble about her so called friend, listing basically everything. From her looks to her mannerisms. "The way she sticks her nose in a book." She didn't notice, but she was more relaxed thinking about Toko then the warm water itself. "Oh goodness." Komaru's hand covered her mouth as the glow of a blush flourished on her cheeks. "I... I'm in love with Toko?!"

Toko in the meantime was tired of writing. She stretched her arms and as they lowered back down, she couldn't help but feel a tickle on her nose. "Oh no! Not now... achooo!" Syo giggled as she fronted. "Dekumaru? Where you at?" She sniffed the air. "Found you!" Syo flung the bathroom door open. "Toko!" Komaru covered her chest as Syo curiously eyed the tub. "Wow it's hot in here! Making Dekumaru soup? Hu?" She teased. "S...Shut up Syo! Don't you know how to knock?"

"Now why would I? It's not like we haven't seen each other naked before." Syo chuckled, taking off the worn uniform too. "Toko said she didn't want to bathe!" Komaru got flustered, looking away from the stripping woman. "Well sweetie, the bookworm isn't here right now. I could really use a relaxing bath with my favorite cutie!" Syo practically shouted as her long legs began to descend into the water. "Syo... please don't flirt with me right now." Komaru looked down in embarrassment. "Why? Everything ok?" Syo rarely showed concern but when she did Komaru couldn't help but melt. "Hey Syo, can I ask you a question?"

A hand gently lifted Komaru's chin. Syo looked into her eyes, scanning them thoroughly. "You can, especially if something's bothering you. What are friends for, right." They both shared a chuckle, even if the word friend made Komaru's heart ache. "I was wondering, have you ever..." She couldn't finish the question. Her eyes glanced away and that set off alarm's in Syo's mind. "Have I what? Kissed someone? Fucked? Make an A on a quiz? What women!?"

Komaru's eyes grew wide. Syo being vulgar wasn't new, but thinking about her like that make Komaru feel all tingly. "If you and Toko like someone, do you two fight over them? Or..." She trailed off, loosing the words as Syo cocked her head in thought. 'So cute.' She thought to herself. "Well, normally she's the one who dates them and if they brake our heart I kill them... but... no. We feel the same emotions and thoughts even if the memories are hazy. Is that really what's on your mind?" Syo lifted a brow as Komaru smiled at the answer. "That was my question, yes. Thank you." They shared a smile, but Syo still felt like Komaru didn't tell her everything. "You know Dekumaru, you've grown up a bit. Especially your chest." She teased, playfully leaning in to touch. Syo's soft slender fingers took hold of Komaru's sensitive breast, making her squeak in surprise. "S..Syo! Please don't be so r-Aah." A moan escaped her lips, making Syo grin widely. "Does that feel good Dekumaru?" She teased, rubbing her thumb against the hardened nipple playfully. "Syo!" She moaned again as her arms instinctively wrapped themselves around Syo's neck, pulling them closer, real close. She instantly realized what she did and backed off. "Syo! I'm sorry! I didn't mean..."

She didn't know it was possible to throw the killer off guard. Syo was stunned. The soft feeling of Komaru's breasts against her face was, amazing! She wanted to do that again but Komaru looked uncomfortable. "Hey, I'm sorry." Syo voice was low as her red eyes looked away in shame. Komaru's heart felt like it tightened, "N..No need. My body acted on its own." She sobbed. "W..what?! Don't cry! Please don't cry! Komaru! Hey!" Syo frantically placed her hands on her partner's face and wiped the tears away. 'What did I do?!' She thought as the younger woman started to ball. "Hey hey! I didn't jump in here to make you upset! What can I do to make you feel better!" Then it hit her, the perfect way to get what she wanted and to show her support. She pulled Komaru into her arms and hugged her tightly. Syo's head rested on the soft mounds as Komaru nuzzled into Syo's hair, sill huffing from her mixed emotions. "Syo?"

"Not now, I'm comfy."

"Alright."

A few minutes passed as both girls bathed in each other's company. Komaru got out first, not noticing red eyes following her backside. She dried off casually and when she began to put a new change of clothes on, Syo stepped out. "Well, that was fun. You know, everything except the crying anyway."

Komaru smirked as she ran a comb through her hair. "Oh ya? You think I can get Toko to bathe sometime?" She teased. "Maybe you can entice her with your curbs. It definitely works on me." Syo chuckled. "What?!" A flustered Komaru looked over in disbelief. "Come on Dekumaru, you look good. Even if you ARE a crybaby."

"I am not!"

"If you say so. Just know I'm here if you ever need anything." Syo's tone softened, but before Komaru could say anything there was a grate sneeze. "Hu?" Toko's eyes widened at the sight of the tub. "No! I'm not taking a bath! You can't make me!" She began to panic. "Calm down Toki, Syo already took one for you. Let's get dressed." Komaru softly reached out to place a hand on her crush's shoulder. Toko instantly motioned to cover her own chest as her bright gray eyes looked at Komaru. "Okay."

Even if the bathroom was warm the bedroom was cold. Komaru had fallen asleep, wrapped tightly in the blankets, even the spare one Toko brought for herself. "Just great." Toko shivered as a grumble left her lips. Slowly she pulled on the blankets that was trapped within the Komaru Cocoon. "Come on Komaru, stop hogging all the... Ahh!" Toko was able to get it out but a hand irrupt from the disturbed place of rest. Toko was warm now... now that a half asleep Komaru had pulled her into the dome of blankets. Legs tangled together and two heartbeats, Toko's louder, filled the once silent void. Toko didn't know if she should stay, but the warmth and Komaru's naturally sweet sent pulled her in closer. Her nose nuzzled into the younger one's collarbone as her hands wrapped around the waist. "Toko~" Komaru hummed in her sleep, unaware that her lips were touching the top of her crush's head as a soft kiss left them. Toko hummed as she nuzzled closer, cheeks red and heart thumping as she drifted off comfortably.
