A/N -
Hello, everyone!
My birthday's overmorrow, and as a gift to myself - I'm going to be completely and utterly self-indulgent. Yea, I'm writing a Transformers: Animated story, that's about romance, and also yuri.
Smushy romance shit is my bread and butter, lmao. In fact, this idea's been in my drafts folder for literal months! I've just been saving it for a rainy day.
No, literally, outside it's storming so hard I keep getting jumpscared by thunder.
Also - I don't want to get TOO far into talking about future plans and backstory because - well, show don't tell! But, this is a canon divergent AU!
Moving Violations, Stunti-Con Job, & The Return of Blurr are canon - but the timeline diverges before the Trial of Megatron - Megatron was imprisoned and no Decepticon uprising has happened…Yet.
Sari's & SG Sari are also a few years older than in canon, 20-ish.
I just felt that was necessary to outline.
OH: another note before I forget. If you want a voice claim for SG Isaac's bots, think of the Carl's Jr Machine from Idiocracy.

The first sensation Sari Sumdac felt was her knees dragging against cold concrete ground. After a moment, her eyes slowly fluttered open. Her entire body felt extremely weak, so much so that she didn't even have the strength to raise her head. All she could do was mumble "Where…Am I?"
"SARI SUMDAC. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BE AWAY FROM SUMDAC TOWER AFTER CURFEW. YOU ARE BEING RETURNED HOME, AND ISAAC SUMDAC WILL BE NOTIFIED." A loud and strangely robotic voice responded. One that immediately registered as familiar - it sounded like the artificial voice her father gave to his robots.
But…That made zero sense! Returned to Sumdac Tower? Last she remembered, she was at Sumdac Tower - studying in her room. And curfew? Last she knew, she didn't have one! She was an adult, and had her own life outside of Sumdac Incorporated.
Gathering all the strength in her body, she managed to raise her head and look around…though it wasn't like she could see much of her surroundings. A heavy smog coated the air that smelled absolutely noxious and made it difficult to breathe - like the air actively constricted her lungs.
It seemed to be daytime, at least - The sky was… grey. There seemed to be outlines of very tall buildings in the distance, and flakes of sleet were dancing on a chill wind.
At either side of her were a duo of robots that looked to be ten feet tall each. But even in the shadows, their design was unmistabable - like giant metal trash cans, with pool noodles and tank treads glued on.
….Yup, one of her dad's designs, alright…
Unfortunately, that little bit of movement had sapped all her energy - once again, she closed her eyes and drifted back into unconsciousness.
–
After several hours passed, Sari eventually woke up once again. This time, she was able to keep her grasp on consciousness for more than a minute! Every individual bone in her body seemingly screamed in agony as she sat up and opened her eyes.
Whatever those damned robots did with her was probably primarily to blame, but the mattress she lay on was decently at fault too! It was scratchy, and didn't even have any sort of frame or sheets! Just a welled up blanket at the bed's foot, it was the absolute bare minimum. Onc step away from just sleeping on the floor.
"Hey." spoke an unfamiliar voice, immediately catching Sari's attention. It seemingly emanated from the other side of the room. The voice was strangely close to her own - but in a far lower and more subdued tone.
"Who are you?!" Her fight or flight responses kicked themselves to overdrive like the scaredy-cat she was, causing her to jump to her feet and back up against the wall. Incidentally. this gave her a better view of the room. It looked like a small concrete box.
It looked and smelled dingy - complementing the look was a chair and desk sitting in the corner that looked like they were plucked straight out of the trash. The one thing that looked somewhat decent was the room's sole light, a desk lamp clamped onto the aforementioned desk. It wasn't very big, nor very and it left half the room in shadow.
"I could ask you the same question. I know imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but this is ridiculous." The other person said…as she stepped out of the shadows. "I'm Sari. Sari Sumdac."
This…other Sari looked nearly the same, but at the same time extremely different.
The first, and most notably thing was her face. Her hair was a deep purple - with red crystals that jutted from her scalp…and legs, for some reason? Her eyes were a deep crimson and absolutely caked in eyeliner. Around her neck was a strange collar - not like a fashion accessory, one that looked concerningly mechanical in nature.
As for her clothing, She wore a purple and white…swimsuit top? It was so short, that's what it looked like... Anyway, as well, she wore a rather short skirt, with strangely torn white stockings, and an extremely luxurious looking coat with white fur accents loosely over her shoulders.
It was like looking through a twisted, warped funhouse mirror.
What would turn out to be a good metaphor for this whole god-damned world.
The Sari we knew, in comparison, had crimson red hair. Eyes a glowing blue, She primarily wore a sleeved yellow dress that stopped above her thigh, Complemented by thigh-high yellow leggings.
"Oh, this has to be a dream…" The original Sari mumbled to herself, putting her hand to her head. The mirrored Sari grinned as she approached, only for her fun to be dashed by a television inset in the wall to come on.
