A dark-haired woman let out a puff of air from where she sat, running a hand down her face tiredly but determined to stay awake. Lana was driven to complete this mission for the Brotherhood. They entrusted it to herself and her brother, who was comfortably sleeping off to the side. "Come on, you numpty." Lana said with her Australian accent, slapping the side of her brother's face lightly. She held the small device in her hand that she figured was a map. She was trying to study it. They were on a boat, not far from their destination. To find a piece of Eden. It had taken them roughly six months to decipher the location of this specific Piece of Eden. They weren't easy to find on purpose. Lana glanced over when her brother woke startled as he stared at her annoyed.
"Why did you wake me up?" He asked with a huff and Lana smirked at him leaning back in her chair while she held the map in her hand.
"We're not far from our destination." She answered him shortly, nodding her head slightly. "Plus. This isn't only a map." Lana shook her hand with the device in it. "It's a key too...of sorts." She admitted shrugging.
"Oh...good. Glad my sister knows something." Matthew spoke sarcastically, leaning back in his seat. Lana rolled her eyes at him and kicked him in the shin underneath the table. He hissed and whispered an 'ow' as he rubbed his shin in pain, Lana smirking to herself in victory.
"Anyway, we'll probably come across some idiot templars so...load the weapons." She suggested, Matthew sighed before standing up and going over to load the four weapons laying on another table.
"So, what do we do when we find the artifact?" Matthew asked her when he sat down and began loading the weapons at the other table.
"Well, first we use the scanner Shaun gave us. See if it's even safe to pick up. If it's safe get the hell out of there." She explained quickly, they had gone over this already but her brother's listening skills lacked, severely. "I'm not sticking around for templars." Lana told him as she messed with the device, the small chained assassin's symbol necklace jingling around her neck as she shifted in her chair.
"I'll never forget when Desmond got you that." Matthew chuckled when he glanced at the necklace.
"And then I said I'd buy him a new phone." Lana snickered, a grin on her face when she spoke.
"After you broke it because he asked you out and flirted with you." Matthew rose an eyebrow.
"He was my best friend. I never loved him in that way." She reminded her brother who hummed and nodded. "I think he realized soon he felt the same way. Desmond became a part of the Anand family." Lana spoke, putting the device down and resting her elbows on the table.
"And then we lost him because some stupid ass gods decided they wanted the world to end." Matthew grumbled angrily, Lana gave her twin brother a sympathetic look.
"I miss him too." Lana said with a soft yet sad smile.
"We all do." Matthew commented sadly, there was a moment of silence between the two siblings and Lana laughed slightly at the thought of something, which made Matthew look at her curiously.
"And now we know why mother calls us Jacob and Evie sometimes." She chuckled, messing with her necklace while Matthew finished up with their weapons.
"That's because she said I'm like great grandpa Jacob and you're like aunt Evie." He grinned, putting down one of the pistols on the table.
"I remember reading Grandma Lydia's journal. She and Aunt Evie were spectacular." Lana commented and smiled as Matthew let out a small laugh.
"Grandpa Jacob was a badass." Matthew responded with a grin.
"They all three were badass." She bites back with a slightly joking tone of argument, shaking her head at him. "Plus if I clearly remember, they're using both of our DNA together to look through Evie and Jacob's memories." Lana finished and pointed out to her brother, leaning back in her chair.
"Hey, we're here!" the ship's captain called down to them as Lana let out a breath, unclipping her necklace and tucking it in her pocket. She stood up and grabbed the device and put it in her satchel before going over to her brother. Matthew handed her a pistol, rifle, and her hidden blade. The woman put the pistol in her waist holster, rifle on her back, and placed her assassin's blade on her left wrist, the two also grabbed radios to stay in contact. Matthew followed her with the same weapons and the two stepped out of the boat onto dry land before they looked up at the captain.
"Just radio me and I'll come back and get you." the man informed them as the two nodded.
"Thank you." Lana told the man and he nodded back. "Come on." She patted her brother's back as the two started off. They followed the map of the triquerta shaped device to the Piece of Eden, they'd found and pieced together with Shaun and Rebecca, through the deep amazon jungle, Matthew kept watch holding his gun while she led, and the deeper and deeper they got, the more they noticed remnants of buildings in the jungle ground beneath them. People had been here once.
"You're seeing this too aren't you?" Matthew asked, using his eagle vision to see footprints.
"Yeep." Lana nodded cautiously, they came to a hill and climbed up it slowly. When they reached the top of the hill, Lana stopped her brother when she spotted men ahead, specifically templars. "Dammit." She hissed, putting the device back in her satchel.
"Fucking Templars." Matthew huffed frustrated. "How the hell did they find it before us?" He grumbled.
"I don't know, I don't care." Lana frowned before realizing something. "They found it here, but they don't know exactly where the piece is." She let out a quiet laugh as she grinned. This was good news, they could get ahead, get the piece, and get out without the templars knowing. This was safer for all of them.
"Good. Good." Matthew nodded while chuckling.
"Come on, kid." She hit her brother's shoulder lightly.
"Kid? I'm as old as you." Matthew said offended when he looked back at his sister as she stood up and began to move away.
"I'm older than you by 12 minutes," Lana responded grinning and he rolled his eyes but followed her. The two snuck around, hiding in the long leaves and bushes, to keep out of the templar's view. They needed to make sure they were not spotted in the slightest, they did not want to have to fight off templars.
"How should we take down stragglers?" He asked his sister curiously.
"Our blades and then we hide them in the bushes." She whispered back to him as he nodded. They quickly and quietly made their way over to two templars that stood by the twins and simultaneously took the two out with their hidden blades. Lana with her left hand and Matthew with his right. They quickly hid the bodies before continuing on where they took down some more, but with luck never alarmed any of the others. Once the two got to safe ground, Lana let out a breath of relief. It was going better than she hoped.
"Well, that was fun." Matthew commented as she snickered and took out the device which she messed with it before pointing north.
"Let's go." She gestured to him and nudged him gently to get his attention. They kept going and ran across more templars but took down any if it wasn't a big number, they could afford to and it was better in the long run. However, eventually, they came to a rock wall and stopped in front of it when Lana frowned. "This is where the device says it is." Lana utters confused, this wasn't right, this couldn't be right in the slightest.
"Maybe...I don't know. Are you sure it's right?" Matthew looked at her as she gave him a look.
"Yes. I'm sure, Matt." She huffed with a glare when she looked back at the device and Matthew looked at the rock wall in front of them. The man tapped his chin in thought while Lana fiddled with the device, an irritated expression on her face.
"What if it's like scooby doo?" He suddenly blurted out making Lana stop and stare at him.
"Really? Scooby d-" She began but stopped, Matthew frowning and looking at his sister when she cut herself off. "Oh! Of course! You're right!" Lana exclaimed and Matthew looked smug which made her roll her eyes. "Come on, smuggy." She punched his arm and Matthew grunted in pain but started to help her look. Suddenly, they found a marking on the wall...just like the device she held and placed it into the rock wall it pushed back and turned revealing an opening.
"Well, come on, Velma." Matthew snorted before going through the door as Lana shook her head, but followed after him. Once they got inside, they flicked on their torches and began descending the staircase after the door. "I hope there aren't any traps-" the man commented offhandedly while they went through a hall and he suddenly felt a dip in the floor, realizing he stepped on a pressure plate. "Shit! Lana!" Matthew yelped in fear when a sword swung out, the dark-haired woman let out a shout of shock, and the sword nearly killed Lana, but it luckily stopped just an inch before her stomach.
Lana exhaled the breath she was holding and lowered the hands she had raised, swallowing hard when her eyes flickered to her brother who let out a breath of relief. "Thanks for jinxing us, dumbass." Lana growled with a glare, but Matthew went over and helped her pass.
"Sorry." He apologized sheepishly, Lana just sighed and shook her head, saying nothing else about the trap. The two went on, of course, coming across more and more traps. Jesus, she couldn't believe there were so many. It was like a fucking indiana jones movie for god's sake. Finally, they came to their destination and stopped when they spotted a pedestal holding a piece of eden in a large cavern room.
"Stay there before the pedestal. Keep watch." She called and looked back at Matthew who nodded. Lana moved forward towards the pedestal and she pulled out her radio. "Oh, Shaun, you'd die to see this." Lana spoke into the radio.
"Geez, thanks, Lana. Just remind me more of what I'm missing." Shaun said sarcastically through the radio as she smirked and heard Matthew snort.
"No problem." She responded cheekily, but she could just hear his eye roll through the radio.
"Haha, don't listen to baby Shaun." Rebecca interrupted while laughing.
"Anyway." Shaun butted in with an irritated tone in his voice. "Scan before touching it, Lana." He instructed his friend calmly, Lana grinning to herself at the sound of his irritation.
"Alrighty." She hummed, pulling out the scanner from her pocket and raising it to the piece. There were slow beeping noises from the scanner as she waited. The slower they were after fifty percent meant it was safe. If it got faster. Don't touch it. That was the gist of Shaun's device, just like every other device he created, to be honest.
"How's the scan so far, Lana?" Rebecca asked as Lana heard typing from a keyboard.
"Slow. I'm at thirty-nine percent." She answers the woman.
"When it's finished, I want you to describe-" Shaun began but was cut off suddenly and her radio let out a static which made her frown. That's weird and it was not good, it should not be doing that and it was worrying.
"Shaun. Rebecca. Guys!" Lana exclaimed worriedly when Matthew called out urgently.
"Lana! We've got company!" He shouted to her as Lana heard voices.
"Shit!" She cursed, the scan was still at forty-two percent. This was taking too long, they had to get out of here with the piece. They couldn't leave it behind for the templars. "The scans slowed. I can grab it." Lana yelled to her brother who shook his head. He didn't like that idea in the slightest.
"Fuck no. Forget it, Lana. We need to scram." Matthew shook his head and insisted when the voices and footsteps got closer and closer. That was when suddenly the beeping became faster and faster from the device.
"You know screw it!" Lana breathed with a whisper, quickly going forward and grabbing it. There was suddenly a numbing and stinging feeling emitting to her hands and she let out a yelp.
"Lana!" Matthew yelled worriedly, his eyes widening at the shout of pain from her. The piece melted like steel, climbing his arm like water, and the artifact slowly appeared on Lana's right forearm. The room began to shake as Lana stumbled back in shock and the piece of eden was gone, but she wasn't quite sure it was. She whipped around just as the floor began to collapse and the templars busted in. Lana fell and gripped onto the edge while Matthew shot at the templars desperately. It felt like time began to slow and Lana watched with wide eyes when they shot right at him and Matthew was hit before falling back into the chasm below.
"No! Matthew!" Lana cried out, reaching her hand out desperately when the floor began to collapse and she was slowly losing her grip. The templars looked conflicted to go after her or to run, but that choice was made for them as the piece of the rock she was gripping onto broke and she fell too, darkness clouding her vision and engulfing her.

Lana slowly opened her eyes and looked around, the forest looked different from the one she was in before. Where the hell was she? This wasn't the amazon forest. This was not home base either. She'd know because she'd smell Shaun's horrible choice of tea and Rebecca's coffee. Probably hear Matthew flirting with Rebecca too. Despite the fact she totally knew Shaun and Rebecca liked each other. Matthew did hit her on once for Shaun. It was hilarious. She slowly sat up and looked around confused, gripping her arm in pain. "What the fuck?" Lana whispered and stood up before freezing with wide eyes, someone was missing. Matthew, he was missing. Where was he? "Matt!" She called out, looking around and panicking.
"Matthew! Where are you?" the woman yelled again as she began walking around, letting out a groan of pain. Man, how far did she fall? She looked down at her arm, noticing the marking from the piece of eden still there, burned into her skin. Why did it do that? She didn't understand why. Lana moved forward but stopped in shock when ahead she spotted the still body of her little brother. "Matthew!" She screamed with a cry, running forward and dropping to her knees as she picked his body up, resting his head in her lap. "No, no, no, no!" Lana mumbled, desperately checking for any pulse but she found none and that was when she noticed where the bullet ended up. It nicked the artery in his neck and killed him instantly. "No!" She let out a sob, cradling her brother's body, her wails echoing through the forest. This wasn't how it was supposed to go. Lana cried quietly when there was a cracking in the distance and she stopped, suddenly hearing movement.
"Who's there?" She heard a voice call out and she gently put Matthew's body down and stood up. Blood was now all over her clothes. That was when Lana saw a bearded man with a bow, dressed in...what the hell? Why was he wearing 18th-century clothing? Was she in some weird ass LARPING place? Did she really dream about going to the amazon? Even so, she didn't like what he looked like.
"Fuck this." She hissed with a whimper, this was not what she wanted to do but she had to leave. "I'm so sorry, Matt." Lana apologetically looked down at her brother before bolting off.
"Hey, stop! Stop you native!" the man shouted after her which confused her greatly. Native? She wasn't native american. That didn't matter though, she had to continue running when she stopped and quickly climbed a tree. Lana began jumping from one to the next to avoid the crazy man. Because this wasn't fucking LARPING this was some psycho in a fucking 18th century hunting garb with a goddamn bow.
"Go away, go away." She said to herself as she jumped hurriedly from one tree to the next.
"I said stop!" the man yelled, raising his bow and aiming it for her stomach. Just as she was about to jump, the arrow whistled through the air before lodging itself right into her side. Lana screamed out in pain and the shock of pain and force made her fall and land right on her back, making the arrow push in deeper as she screamed in pain.
"Motherfucker!" Lana yelped in pain when the man ran over and froze in shock at the sight of her.
"You-you aren't a native trespassing." He stuttered, stopping when he looked at her. She didn't look like one, she was darker than them and she had a British accent. "You from where they get them spices. India." His eyes widened, his voice blubbering while he spoke. "I gotta get Colonel Monro." the man gulped before running off and leaving a drowsy nearly unconscious Lana behind. Lana gripped her hands around the shaft of the arrow before slowly pulling it out. She bit her lip trying not to scream as it finally came out and she dropped it to the ground. That was when she heard footsteps again, coming towards her.
"What the hell did you do?" She heard a British voice exclaim.
"I was hunting. For you and the Finnegans. After that man you saved was taken into their care." the man explained hurriedly, panic lacing his voice. "I thought she was a native, but she's an indian. The spice ones." He rambled when the voices finally reached Lana and she knew they were here.
"Did you pull out the arrow?" the british man asked with surprise at the sight of the bloody arrow to the side.
"No, Colonel Monro. I didn't." He shook his head with a gulp.
"She must've. Brave girl." the other man commented before going over to Lana's side with concern. "Dear, can you hear me?" Monro asked her calmly but she struggled to keep awake.
"Matthew." She croaked with a grimace and pointed in the direction she came from.
"What does she mean?" Monro frowned and looked back at the man.
"I saw a body from where I spotted her." the other man quickly answered the man Monro.
"Who's Matthew?" Monro inquired curiously and quietly, putting his coat over the now shivering Lana. He didn't want her to die from the cold or this wound. That was when he noticed something slipping out of her trousers pocket, he picked it up and his eyes went wide before he placed it back in her pocket.
"My twin brother. My name is Lana." She slurred her words now, the pain of the piece of eden and the arrow engulfing her.
"Damn." He hissed with a curse, he needed to get her out of her, she needed help. "Find the brother. I'll take her to the Finnegans. Get me someone to bring my horse!" Monro ordered firmly as the man nodded and ran off when he quickly picked up Lana bridal style. "Now, I need you to stay awake. Do you understand?" Monro told her and she nodded tiredly.
"I've had worse." She mumbled, shaking her head to attempt to keep off the dizziness.
"You probably have." Monro chuckled, holding her close to his chest and she heard neighs from horses. She was shifted and placed on top of the horse in front of Monro as he clicked his tongue and the horse sped off. He saved someone else from worse, he could save her and he had to, despite being an assassin, she was someone who needed help.

"I'd hate to burden you even more, but this girl needs help." Monro's voice echoed through Lana's memory, barely conscious and barely aware of the voices. Monro had taken her to Finnegans just as he had the other. He was sure they would help again, the girl needed the utmost help. She was alone and from what she had said, her brother was head. He had to make sure she survived, but also make sure she wasn't alone. She had already lost her family.
"Oh, no, no. It's quite alright. Bring her in." a woman's voice assured him as she shook her head and ushered the Colonel into the home. The old man next to the woman stepped forward with a small frown and asked.
"She's not as bad as the other, is she?"
"No, just need her side wound from an arrow taken care of. She's still barely conscious." Monro shook his head and explained to man who hummed surprised and impressed.
"She must be a tough one." the older man murmured which made Monro chuckle as the woman began leading him to where he could take Lana.
"Well, she did take out the arrow herself." Monro replied lowly and the old man made a noise of surprise, that was when the woman began speaking, however, the voice drowned out as Lana finally lost full consciousness and was out. Unaware of anything going on or any voices, not except the dull pain from the piece of eden slowly disappearing.
It would be hours later when Lana finally found herself coming to, but it wasn't her waking herself up, it was someone else. Lana grimaced and shifted when she felt someone pressing on her arm. Who was the fuck was messing with her? Was it Shaun? Honestly, what the hell happened? She'd hoped it was all a dream. She just wanted Matthew back. She wanted to be home. She partially opened her eyes to disappointment, Lana didn't recognize the room she was in, in the slightest. It was all foreign to her, she wasn't home. She didn't know where the fuck she was. Lana fully opened her eyes and was startled by a bearded...half-naked man in the room, next to the bed she lay in. "Who the hell are you?!" She exclaimed in shock, shoving the man back. "Get the fuck back!" Lana told him, quickly getting up and grabbing a candle stick as he grunted in pain. The woman completely ignored any dull pain from her own wound.
"Wait, I don't mean you no harm!" the man raised his hands in surrender, his eyes wide. He did not expect her to react so quickly, though he wasn't ignorant as to why she reacted as such. He was a stranger. However, Lana noted he was Irish and he looked like shit, probably worse than her.
"What are you doing in here?" She demanded still gripping the candle.
"I heard about another person injured. You. The Finnegans said you were found in the woods." He began to explain with his thick Irish accent. "With odd clothes..." the man frowned while gesturing to her clothes on the dresser. She looked down at herself momentarily, noticing she was in a nightgown. Not her clothes, not her room, clearly not her century either, she was assuming.
"So you decided to come rifle through my clothes and underwear like a pervert?" Lana questioned him and he immediately looked alarmed, he did not expect a response like that.
"No, no, no. I didn't look through your clothes." the man shook his head, raising his hands in surrender and she frowned but slowly dropped the candle. She didn't know him, but she believed him and he was worse off than her, so if he tried something she could probably trip him to the ground easily.
"You look like shit..." Lana drawled out with furrowed brows, unsure of his name.
"Shay Cormac." Shay introduced himself, lowering his hands when Lana stopped, she could swear she recognized that name, but where?
"I'm Lana Kathani Anand." Lana replied and gave the man her own name. "And it's said LAN-A not LAWN-A." She said with emphasis making him chuckle.
"How does your wound not hurt after...getting up so suddenly?" He asked curiously and pointed to her stomach.
"I've had worse, plus women go through childbirth. Pain is something we can handle. An arrow to the stomach and pulling it out isn't shit." Lana simply explained like it was nothing and right now it was because she had more questions about the piece and everything else. Though Shay frowned slightly at the end of her words but didn't comment on it.
"Right..." Shay trailed slowly. She slowly went over to her clothes and took the assassin necklace out of her pants pocket and put it on. Shay tried to see what it was, but her back was to him. The symbol itself was hidden beneath of nightgown as she turned around and looked at Shay.
"What happened to you?" She asked him curiously, nodding to his bandage wounds. Jesus, he looked worse off than her. "You looked like someone who stumbled out of a nightclub. Drunk off his ass." Lana commented while crossing her arms.
"I don't know what a nightclub is, but I was shot and fell off a cliff." Shay explained confused slightly by her words and Lana stared at him in disbelief. That was not what she was expecting to hear in the slightest. "Into freezing water."
"You survived that shit?" Lana questioned in shock. He was about to answer when they heard a woman's screams and she looked at Shay with raised brows. "Looks like the Finnegans have company." She murmured before going back to her pants and pulling out a switchblade from her pockets, barely noticing her hidden blade hidden underneath the clothes. She gripped her knife and made for the door when Shay stopped her.
"Wait, I'm coming." He told her and the woman paused, turning and facing Shay surprised.
"Like that? You wouldn't be able to run a marathon like that. Much less help me kill some thugs." Lana commented and gave him a look as he stared at her.
"Oh, yes, Ms. I got shot with an arrow." He rolled his eyes.
"Look. I don't want to be your enemy, but if you choose to croak because you want to help." Lana began to say as she reached the doorknob, letting out a puff of air. "So be it." She simply shrugged, opened the door and walked out while Shay followed and came to her side, slightly stumbling, and she grabbed his arm to steady the man.
"You wretch! How dare you!" Cassidy yells out, Lana assuming she was yelling at the intruders.
"Shut up, woman!" She hears a slap resound and Cassidy cries out. Lana clenches her fist in anger, she couldn't wait to get her hands on those bastards down there.
"Oh, I can't wait to kill a man who hits a woman." Lana growls and Shay glances at her with some surprise.
"You are violent," Shay comments quietly.
"Says knocking on death's door." She countered cheekily, Shay letting out a small haughty laugh.
"Cheeky." He muttered making her smirk.
"Leave her alone!" Barry demands angrily before she hears him hit the ground in pain. The two creep down the steps to the first floor as Lana lets out her switchblade and they stop at the end and look at the two men who had forced their way into the home.
"Now what are you going on about?" Shay shouts firmly and Lana grins, they were getting to the good part.
"Stay out of this, you fool!" one man calls out to Shay.
"Wait, I'm sorry, last time I heard it's not okay to hit a woman." She adds with some snarkiness in her voice as the men look at her and glare.
"Shut up, bitch!" He growls and Lana grips her switchblade tightly.
"That's not okay." Lana glares at him angrily.
"Well, I was going to but, now you've made things personal..." Shay simply commented and the two nodded at each other. "Ladies first." He speaks and gestures ahead, noticing her present anger at the men.
"Thanks." She smirks and she slowly makes her way over to the man, her knife switchblade out. Shay moving forward a moment later to deal with the other man who had broken in.
"You won't hurt me, will you little pretty?" the one she face challenged her as she simply just looked at him before kicking him in the groin. Shay who was fighting the other looked surprised when she headbutted him and the man stumbled back. She quickly moved her foot behind his and kicked it out from underneath him, making him fall on his back. He got up as she stepped back and moved to the fireplace where the man tried to slap her but she stabbed the switchblade through his hand. The stabbing of the blade into his had made him howl in pain before she grabbed his head and slammed it into the fireplace. She didn't care if he was dead or knocked out.
"You're not dead are you little pretty?" She mockingly asked the knocked-out man. The dark haired woman smirked and stood up from her kneeling position as Shay knocked out the man he was fighting.
"Well...you're good in a fight." Shay complimented her with a small impressed smile.
"I was raised to fight." Lana smirked with a small shrug when the men slowly woke up and Lana pulled the switchblade from the one's hand. He screeched in pain but they took no hesitation and they got up and ran out the door.
"And don't come back!" Barry calls after them warningly and Lana chuckles slightly. "Thank you, Shay. Thank you, Lana." the older man thanked the two, Lana assumed the man who helped her Monro must've told them her name. "In me younger days, I could have taken them one-handed!" He announced and Lana rose an eyebrow and she looked at their clothes on them before frowning. Lana knew she was in a different century and she estimated 18th, but the year...she wasn't quite sure.
"Shay...what year is it?" Lana asked him quietly and Shay looked at her startled but confused.
"You don't know?" He responded with a frown as she shook her head, looking around the house. The clothing. The home. The bow. She'd sworn she'd seen an 18th-century pistol with Monro. Everything clicked. "Oh...uh it's...1756," Shay answered her slowly and Lana swallowed hard, letting that news sink in.
"Oh..." She trailed off with a mutter, this wasn't good. She wasn't alive yet, but like before everything clicked. She wasn't stupid. She'd heard rumors of these types of Pieces of Eden. Time travel. Pieces of Eden with the ability to send someone back. Holy shit, she couldn't believe it. She traveled back to the 1700s. Could she even get back to the 21st century? Was there something she had to do to get back? She noticed Shay looking down at her arm, the one with the burn and her left one which had a tattoo. "What never gotten ink?" Lana questioned him sarcastically and Shay leaned back slightly.
"What..." Shay said to himself confused, though he cleared his throat and decided to leave her strange words at that. "Why were these men bothering you?" He changed the subject and looked at the Finnegans, but glanced at Lana slightly concerned.
"Oh, the usual. They feel they're owed money because they're not harming citizens. Mark me words, those gangs are going to be the downfall of this city." Barry ranted angrily while Lana stood next to Shay, the woman glancing up at him and pressing her lips together in a thin line. He was taller than her, much taller. She was actually startled by how tall he was compared to her. Shaun, Matthew, and Desmond weren't very tall for men.
"Wait here. I have something for ya." Cassidy told Shay before walking away and a moment later she returned carrying some clothes for Shay. "Won't do you any good walking around starkers. Here, try these on. They were our sons." Cassidy handed him the clothes and Lana paused, a sad frown forming on her face. They lost their son, she'd lost Matthew, she understood. Lana exhaled and looked at Cassidy who noticed her look and simply gave her a soft smile and a short nod when Barry walked away from the other three.
"I suppose if you're looking for trouble, you'll be needing these." Barry called and came back over, handing Shay his weapons. Well, Lana assumed they were his.
"As for you Lana. I have something from an old friend. She traveled to China." Cassidy informed her calmly, grabbing the woman's arm gently. "You have your other blade upstairs with your...odd clothing and your smaller one I see you have. My old friend left a sword and a pistol as well." She smiled gently, releasing her arm and stepping back as Lana nodded, that was good. They would help. "The things should be up in your room in the dresser." Cassidy added and Lana nodded.
"Thank you, Cassidy." She said sincerely.
"Thank you." Shay also thanked to two of them and Lana chuckled quietly.
"Come on, Shay." Lana smirked, nudging him and looking at him as she started going over to the stairs. Shay followed after her and the two separated where she went into her room and Shay to his own room. She went to the dresser and pulled out the weapons before pulling out the clothes and shoes as she looked at the outfit. "Interesting." She commented with a small hum, but she wouldn't say no to actual clothing and not a nightgown. Lana dressed and put it on quickly, putting her assassin's blade on her left wrist. Her switchblade was tucked in a little hidden part found above her breast. She placed the pistol on her left side and the sword on her right side. Though, that was when she stopped and glanced at her modern clothing, she couldn't keep it anymore. She didn't want to. Lana let out a puff of air, grabbing the key that sat on top of the dresser to the last drawer. She placed the clothes in the last drawer before locking them and putting the key on a desk. Lana turned and left the room, heading downstairs to the Finnegans.
"Ahh, I knew they'd fit you fine." Cassidy smiled when she spotted Lana.
"You look fine, Lana." Barry nodded as she smiled shortly. She heard footsteps and turned around spotting Shay, her brows raised in surprise at the sight of the clean-shaven Shay and his new attire. Her lips twitched and Cassidy smiled knowingly while Barry watched with a small smirk as Lana stared at Shay. She would lie if she didn't say, she thought he looked handsome and very attractive. However, Lana forced away any smile at the sight of Shay, she was not going to let things happen.
"Someone finally looks shaven." Lana joked making Shay chuckle and catch his attention. Maybe he was too busy earlier with everything happening and he never paid attention or got a good look, but he did find her brown eyes mesmerizing and she was quite beautiful in her clothing.
"That fits you fine, Lana." Shay comments, nodding to her outfit.
"Thanks." Lana simply said with a small shrug.
"Don't you look a right gentleman!" Cassidy gasped when she looked at Shay making Lana snicker. He had an admire in Cassidy and Lana was amused by that, however, Shay wasn't dwelling on clothing for long.
"Did I have a book with me?" Shay cut right to the chase and Lana frowned confused. A book? What kind of book was he talking about?
"Hmm...just those peculiar weapons." Barry shook his head, Shay hummed and nodded.
"Thank you both. If you'll excuse me." He told them before walking away. However, Lana went over to Cassidy and quickly hugged her, she couldn't let Shay go off. She had no idea what the hell was going on and this time was new to her, she needed to stick with someone who knew the lay of the land per say.
"Thank you, Cassidy and Barry. Thank you both." She thanked them quickly before going after Shay. Again, he seemed like the best person to stick to, so she might as well stick to his side.
"What are you doing?" Shay frowned, looking down at her when she went to his side.
"Well, I have no idea where the hell to go. So, I might as well stick with someone who knows what the hell is going on." She shrugged casually, crossing her arms while Shay wore a temporarily amused look. "I also need to find this...Colonel Monro. He might have my brother's body or might have buried him already." Lana explained with a small sigh as Shay opened the door and the two stepped outside into the open air, Lana's eyes flickering around curiously. Yeah, this was real and this was going to be very different.
"I'm...sorry for your loss." Shay softly said and looked at her sympathetically.
"All that matters is that he finds peace and I get to say goodbye." Lana cleared her throat and told Shay as she went to step forward but he grabbed her arm gently.
"What about your parents?" He asked her making her pause when Shay questioned. "How will they know?"
"They died a while ago, Shay." Lana replied quietly, biting the inside of her cheek anxiously. "I want my brother to be with them." She added insistently and Shay nodded understandingly.
"Well, I think we should go after those men that attacked the Finnegans. They might know something." Shay offered, hoping that might be of some help for both of them. Lana was quiet, things mulling through her mind as she couldn't believe she was going off with this strange, and attractive, man to find her brother and this Colonel Monro, but this was her best bet. She just let out a breath and nodded, he had a plan.
"Alright, let's go."
[A/N: Oh my god. Yeah. I started another fanfic, cause I'm an idiot who already has like 10 others. But I wanted to make this because I'm stumped with AC: Rise right now. So I decided to do this, plus I was feeling creative. Anyway, yes Lana looks like Chloe from Uncharted, her name also is said like Lana of AHS: Asylum. Also I know she figured out quickly that shit wasn't right, but it made sense for her to realize where in the past she was. Well, I hope you enjoyed. Don't forget to comment or I guess ask questions. Idk.]
