Everything happened so quickly.
She had been home alone. Soft haunting ballads playing in the background as she hummed to herself, swaying to the beat as she prepared dinner for two. She had been chopping up carrots when the power went out. At first she assumed that there was a villain, but one look outside revealed it was just their house.
Then she heard it.
A window shattering in the distance.
Cold fear washed over her body. Gripping the knife she tried to be as quiet as she could be and looked around for her phone. But the stark memory of leaving it on the charger in her bedroom after coming home made her nearly sob.
What happened next shouldn't have happened.
She had been ducked behind the island in frozen fear as she realized that she was alone and had no way of calling for help. Not unless she made a break for it out the front door or pressed one of the emergency buttons that was hidden around the house. She had been forced to confront a reality that she had never imagined possible; that danger could lurk just around the corner, waiting to pounce on unsuspecting victims.
She was the unsuspecting victim in this case.
"Goddammit," the words snapped her out of it, bringing her to the present as she found herself straddling an unmoving body.
The adrenaline took over her body as she continued to plunge the knife into the body over and over again. It was so exhilarating. Fear and sheer horror as she watched herself continue. The warm splatter of his blood covered her face, her clothes, and the large knife that protruded from his chest.
Cold, large hands wrapped around her. Forcing her to stand and be dragged a few feet from the corpse that was growing cold with every second as blood continued to flow and stain their pristine white carpet.
"Baby...he's dead now." The soft murmur of his words didn't reach her, "Baby, he can't hurt you anymore."
She blinked.
Her eyes welled up with tears. Her vision blurred, the dark crimson color was hot, sticky, and was already beginning to dry on her hands.
When had he started to bleed out so much? How had she got so much blood on her? Oh god, she felt sick.
Adrenaline had been pulsating her veins. However, it was starting to subside. Inhaling deeply, she got a whiff of the distinct smell of iron. She felt revolting . Pushing out of his warm and comforting embrace, she collapsed onto her knees a few feet away, she hunched over and emptied the contents of her stomach. Tears ran down her face as she started to hyperventilate.
Glancing back, she gagged. The scene before her caused her emotions to shift. The reality of the situation and what had happened to her crashing down on her like a tidal wave. A sharp cry left her lips as she had remembered what had taken place just before.
His hands had been all over her. Kissing her skin and tugging at her clothing in an amused and cruel attempt to make her fear him.
Everything happened so quickly. It was a moment that would change her life forever. The feeling of safety and comfort that she had felt just moments before was now a distant memory. Fear had taken over her body, gripping her tightly as she struggled to make sense of what was happening. The soft ballads that had been playing in the background now seemed like a distant memory, a mere echo amidst the chaos that had erupted around her.
And then, the unthinkable happened. Her assailant had come at her, and she had fought back with all the strength she could muster. The knife had become an extension of her body, a weapon that she wielded with deadly precision. The adrenaline had taken over, and she had been consumed by a primal urge to survive.
He had knocked the knife out of her hand. Easily overpowering her and pinned her down to the island. The food was knocked to the floor during the struggle as the glass bowls had shattered against the floor and covered the floor in shimmering slivers as they looked like pretty little stars. He had forced himself onto her as he had flipped her over, bent her over and pressed his front to her back.
His voice sent chills down her spine. He spoke about her husband, his desire to use her to get to him as leverage. The assailant had admitted freely that he had been watching him, surveillancing the house, and stalking the two of them to know their schedules to know the perfect time to strike.
Her struggling against him only caused him to get excited as she had felt his cock grow hard. He rubbed himself against her ass and groaned audibly. Frozen in fear, she hadn't heard him unzip his pants as he reached for her jeans, his hand traveled around to the front as he fiddled with the button.
She had snapped to attention. Adrenaline shooting through her veins as she had grabbed a knife from the knife block as he had only been holding her hands with one of his. She clutched it tight and didn't hesitate to slice him with it.
The man in black had released her with a painful hiss, foul profanity leaving his lips. She had run over the slivers of glass, not acknowledging them stab into her bare feet as her only thought was: RUN.
"I'm so sorry," his usually gruff and deep voice was soft and comforting.
As he spoke to her, his voice carried a heavy weight of sorrow and remorse. It was clear that he was deeply regretful of something, and the pain in his tone was palpable. Despite his overwhelming desire to reach out to her, he knew that giving her space was the right thing to do. He understood that she needed time to process everything that had happened, to let it all sink in. While he was used to the fast-paced, sometimes dangerous life that he led, she was not. She had only experienced it to a certain degree, and he couldn't help but feel tremendous guilt for exposing her to it.
"I failed you. I failed to protect you…"
Despite the risks and the challenges, he had always been determined to shield her from the dangers of his work life. He had done everything in his power to keep his personal and professional lives separate, so that she could feel safe and protected. After all, she was his darling wife - his home, the peace and safety that he had in his life. She was the reason he believed in the notion of love, and he would do anything to protect her.
Yet, despite his best efforts, he couldn't shield her from everything. He couldn't prevent the pain that came with the danger and the uncertainty. And now, as he watched her from a distance, he felt a sense of helplessness wash over him.
She had hit the emergency button that was under the surface of the table next to the door. Where a white shallow dish laid that held their mail, keys, and important notes.
Her hand had clasped the door knob. She had welcomed the cold silver metal but it was short-lived. A hand grabbed her ankle and yanked her back. Losing her footing, she had fallen to the floor, her forehead hitting the edge of the table. A warm liquid dripped down her face and onto the floor.
Being dragged across the floor, the front door grew farther and farther away as she dug her nails and the knife into the hardwood floor. He had dragged her towards the living room and onto the carpet. Her shirt being lifted gave her stomach rugburn. An undistinguished sound left her lips as she still held onto the knife. The man had let her go and reached above her to take the knife.
Her body had taken over.
She blinked.
The knife had gone through his hand. He held his hand and screamed. Falling back, blood had gushed out. She picked herself up off the floor and attempted to run again but he had tackled her to the ground. Thus knocking the knife out of her hands. During the struggle, she had been able to reach for the knife and stabbed him.
His heavy body falling beside her, the knife still coming jutting out. Regardless of the knife in him, he still attempted to reach for her, causing her to lose her balance and fall on top of him. His hand came around her throat and squeezed painfully tight, cutting off her airway.
Her hand didn't hesitate to grab the knife, pulling it out and stabbing him repeatedly. Blood spurted out of his mouth, he began choking on it as his hands desperately reached to grab her own. Warm blood splattered on her face.
But she continued.
Even after he had stopped struggling.
Even after his body had stopped moving and no breath left his lips.
"Oh god…" covering her mouth, she tried to stand and run but her first step only caused her to cry out in pain. The glass shards in her foot still jutting out of her feet caused her to collapse.
"Baby…"
Her husband ran forward, catching her in his arms. She fell into his arms, tears still running down her face.
Amidst her tears and sobs, she whispered his name, "Katsuki..."
Her husband's voice was reassuring and tender as he spoke to her in a comforting manner, assuring her that everything would be okay. But the sound of sirens and flashing lights in the distance only added to the chaos and confusion of the moment. The bright blue and red lights seeped in through the windows, casting an eerie glow across the room.
As the police and ambulance arrived, the commotion grew louder and more chaotic. Katsuki didn't hesitate to carry her out of the house, and towards one of the ambulances. Police officers rushed into the house.
It was all a blur and white noise.
But as the adrenaline faded, the white hot pain shot through her body.
A paramedic had tended to her wounds. Apparently she had a gash on her forehead from hitting the side table, her fingers covered in blood and nails broken, her feet were cleansed with alcohol and wrapped in bandages.
A police officer had come to talk to her, and had attempted to ask her questions about what had happened. Her husband, being a Pro Hero, barked at the offending officer. He growled and snapped at him, promising that he would bring his wife later to give a full report later.
Being a Pro Hero had its perks. Katsuki had packed bags, and had taken her to a hotel. Shock had worn off, grief and shame set in causing her to start crying again as they had stepped into the hotel room. Katsuki took care of everything.
"Baby, we should get you cleaned up and into some new clothes."
He took her by the hand and brought her to the bathroom. He immediately filled the porcelain tub with hot water. She allowed him to strip her of the clothes she wore. He threw them into the separate shower and used his quirk to set the clothing on fire.
"They need that for evidence," she spoke quietly.
Katsuki snorted, "I don't give a damn."
He took her hand and helped her into the tub, immediately her pale skin became a bright red. But it didn't hurt her. No. She was used to the heat. Especially Katsuki's heat.
Closing her eyes, she sat back and allowed him to start washing her hair. She knew that the water would be a pinkish red from the blood that had been caked in her hair.
The man explained his plan to her. About how he would use her to get to Katsuki. He had been hellbent on using her to lure Dynamite and kill him.
Anger fueled inside her.
Being the wife of a Pro Hero wasn't all that it was cracked up to be. She could never have a normal life and she always knew that. She had met Katsuki at middle school, they weren't friends or even lovers then.
Their story had started one day shortly after when Katsuki had been attacked by that sludge villain. He had been on the rooftop, hands in his pockets, quiet and with a scowl on his face.
He stood on the rooftop, brooding with his hands in his pockets, lost in his own thoughts. As fate would have it, she stumbled upon him when she was searching for her truant friend, Akira. They were strangers, from different social circles and never shared a class together. She had no clue that Katsuki was aware of her existence, but she did know that he preferred his own company.
"Hey."
She stopped in her tracks, turned around, and was wide-eyed. "Yes?"
He hadn't even moved an inch from his spot. Consequently, she turned to leave him alone, but he spoke up with a hint of concern in his voice, warning her about the danger of being on the rooftop. "Don't you know that you can get in trouble for being up here?"
"I was looking for my friend Akira," she answered quietly, as she had been unsure of how to answer.
He didn't say anything. After moments of standing in silence, she moved to leave again as she figured that was the end of the conversation. "I'm pretty sure that your friend ditched class for the day," he finally spoke
"Thank you for telling me," she stated. "I'm sorry if I interrupted your peace, it wasn't my intention."
"You weren't interrupting anything," he said with a little bite to his tone. "It's not like I own the damn rooftop anyway."
She couldn't help but giggle at the gruffness of his tone. He had caught the high pitched giggles that sounded like silver bells.
Her laughter reminded him of Christmas.
"What the hell are you giggling for?"
He finally turned to her. His breath caught in his throat as she stood there, head thrown back and giggling.
"I find you quite interesting Katsuki," was all she said before she turned and waved at him. "Good luck at U.A, I know that you'll be amazing."
She found him intriguing and told him so before leaving. That day marked a turning point for Katsuki, and he couldn't shake off the thought of her from his mind.
They never interacted after that. However she did notice him watching her whenever they were in each other's vicinity. Once they graduated he went off to U.A along with Izuku. She had gone to a regular school. One where she was studying to be a Doctor. They didn't talk or keep in touch. It wasn't until the summer when they had run into one another again.
She had been out shopping with Akira, they had stopped and looked at the storefront windows. She hadn't realized that while she was smiling and giggling down at the necklace in the storefront that caught her attention. Katsuki just happened to be on the other side, inside the store as he stared openly at her.
"You should get the necklace," her friend gushed as she adjusted her shopping bags.
She shook her head, "I don't have that kind of money." She turned back to the necklace with a soft smile on her lips, "it is a gorgeous necklace however."
It was a simple silver chair. A pale pink butterfly dangling from the center as white and pink gems surrounded both sides of the butterfly.
Akira smiled, "we can come back another day for it."
"No, it's okay." She turned away from the storefront just as her phone went off with a text, "that is probably the others wondering where we are at. We should get going."
The girl brushed a piece of her stark black hair behind her ear, pink butterfly earrings adoring her ears. Smiling, she locked arms with Akira before walking away. Only glancing back at the window where the necklace laid with a soft smile.
"I didn't know that your Mom liked pink butterflies," Kirishima stated as he watched Katsuki grab the necklace and take it to the front. "We should meet up with the others now that we have all our training camp supplies"
Katsuki didn't respond.
Akira had slipped into a store to get the new purse they had just released, which left her standing outside. Humming a soft tune as she patiently waited. In her peripheral vision she caught sight of pale blonde spiked hair through the crowd. Recognizing it, she looked around for the eccentric and loud Katsuki.
Seeing as it must have been someone else, she pouted and gave up. Hearing noise from behind her, she assumed Akira was done as she turned around. Only to see Katsuki.
He had grown taller, more built and more calm since she last saw him. His hands were still shoved in his pants pockets in typical Katsuki fashion, but it didn't faze her.
"Katsuki…" his name stumbled from her lips, embarrassed she blushed, glancing away. "It's great to see you again."
He cleared his throat, which gained her attention. "It's been a while hasn't it?"
She smiled, "it's been a little over a year since I last saw you." But then she paused, "well I mean I've seen you on Tv and the news with everything happening."
He replied honestly, "yeah, it's been rather stressful."
"Congratulations on winning the U.A Sports Festival," she smiled. "I was rooting for you."
The Sports Festival seemed as though it had been years away with everything happening. He scoffed, "I shouldn't have won."
She started giggling, which made him relax and soften up, "only you could be angry with winning Katsuki."
Her laughter.
Just like Silver Bells during Chrustmas.
Katsuki couldn't help but be drawn to her silver bell-like giggles that reminded him of the joy of Christmas. When he turned to look back at her, he was struck by her beauty and charm. It seemed as though it had only enhanced since he saw her last.
"That Icy Hot bastard stole the fight from me," was all he replied, his tone still gruff and annoyed as he had remembered how Todoroki had collapsed.
"Regardless, watching you was absolutely amazing, not to mention a bit amusing."
"Oh yeah?" He got closer to her, which caused her giggling to stop as she bit her bottom lip nervously. "You found me winning that damn competition amusing?"
"They had to tie you up and tape your mouth for everyone to see Katsuki," she responded with a smile. "I remember watching your Introductory speech and giggling because only you could be that confident to make said speech and mean every word of it."
She hadn't realized her words held weight to them. The hand in his pocket gripped the black velvet box tightly.
"I take it that you've become my number one fan then," he replied in an attempt to sound cool but he felt like it sounded more like arrogance.
Her face grew red, blushing and stuttering for a response, before she finally managed to spit out a retort. "More like I should think you to be my fan, since you actually remembered me and came to speak with me instead of ignoring me or calling me an 'extra'"
As he was caught off guard, he felt a tinge of embarrassment creeping up. Suddenly, he blurted out, "I remembered your laugh." This statement caught her off guard and caused her cheeks to turn a deep shade of red. "I hadn't realized," she responded, surprised by his candidness.
He went on to explain that her laugh reminded him of the enchanting jingles of Silver Bells during Christmas. She was left speechless, not knowing how to react to such an unexpected compliment. However, having known Katsuki for years, she knew that he wasn't the type to spout false praises.
With a heartwarming smile, she looked up at him and said, "Thank you for the compliment. That is the kindest thing that someone has ever said to me." It was a moment that she would always cherish, knowing that her laughter was capable of bringing such joy to someone else.
He coughed into his fist, "maybe the next time we have an event, I can get you tickets if you want."
Her face immediately brightened which only made him feel all warm inside. She looked up at him with those dark blue eyes of hers. They sparkled as she clapped her hands together.
"I'd love that,"
"Give me your phone," was all he said as he attempted to be cool and not lose his shit.
Exchanging their phones, he quickly typed his contact information into her phone, the pink butterfly charm on her phone dangling against his right hand.
"BAKUGO!" His body froze as he recognized the loud voice, "finally found you man, it was like you were trying to lose me back there!"
Kirishima's hand slapped down on his shoulder, the man with red hair smiling before he glanced at the girl that smiled politely at him.
"I didn't realize you were meeting your secret girlfrie—"
"Shut the hell up you bastard! She isn't my girlfriend. She is a girl I went to school with."
Scowling he looked away from the two of them, hiding his embarrassment, which only caused her to giggle. "Hi, I'm Miko Takahashi. It's nice to meet you."
"I'm Eijiro Kirishima, Katsuki's best friend. It's nice to meet you," he held his hand out to her which she shook
"You're not my best friend," he snapped.
As the words left his mouth, he was met with silence. "I didn't know Bakugo had any friends before U.A.," he repeated. The two exchange a fleeting glance, but neither of them seemed to acknowledge his statement.
After a moment of awkwardness, the girl spoke up. "Oh, we weren't really friends, to begin with. Our circles and classes were completely different," she explained. "I was more acquainted with Izuku before Katsuki here."
"You mean Deku, right?" he interrupted.
The girl turned to face him, a puzzled expression on her face. "You're still calling him Deku?" she asked, seemingly surprised.
Katsuki didn't utter a single word. His silence spoke volumes.
"Yes, Deku and I would occasionally hang out, but we weren't particularly close," the girl continued, breaking the silence that hung in the air.
In an effort to break the awkward silence, he cleared his throat and tried to shift his gaze away from the two but the look in her stopped him.
It was an understanding.
"I'll text you later, we have to get back to the dorms."
Grabbing the red haired idiot by the collar, he left her standing there, giggling while Katsuki ignored the taunts of his friend.
After bathing her, he helped her out. Wrapping her up in the fluffy towel, he dried her and helped her into some silk shorts and a tank top. He even brushed and braided her hair. All the while he did it in silence as he knew that he had to give her space, but it was difficult to do so when all he wanted was to hold her close and make everything right.
"I ordered you some food," he smiled.
Taking a seat down in the small kitchenette in the lavish suite, she watched Katsuki unpack the chinese takeout.
Chinese was her favorite food.
"Thank you," her voice came out soft and quiet
Their first date had been perfect, or at least that's what she thought. They had started out by going to the park, where they walked around and caught up with one another. It had been awhile since they had seen each other, so they had a lot to talk about. The sun was shining bright and the breeze was just right. They had such a great time that they didn't want to leave. But eventually, they had to move on and they walked through a farmer's market, where they ate lots of samples. It was so much fun to try different foods and see what they liked. They laughed and joked around, enjoying each other's company.
As the day turned into night, Katsuki had taken her to a rooftop where they ate Chinese takeout. It was such a romantic gesture, and she felt so special. She couldn't believe how lucky she was to be spending time with him. However, Katsuki hadn't been prepared to take her back to the U.A dorms. He didn't want to be teased by his classmates, as Enjiro had already let it slip that he was talking to a female. She understood and didn't mind, but she couldn't help but wonder what his classmates would say.
The more they talked, the more protective Katsuki became around her. She felt safe and appreciated. However, they never talked about the things that happened. They didn't discuss the attack on the training camp, All Might's retirement, or even his work study. She knew that these were sensitive topics, but she couldn't help but wonder how he was handling everything.
"Do you mind if I retire early? I'm very exhausted and desperate for some rest," she turned to her husband with a gentle tone, "I want to lay down if that's alright with you. I'm drained."
Katsuki glanced at his wife, sensing her weariness, and replied, "Sure, go ahead. I need to make some calls, though. Do you want me to join you later or would you prefer to be left alone?"
With a grateful smile, she walked over to him and planted a tender kiss on his cheek, "Please join me once you're done. I need your embrace."
His heart melted as he replied, "Of course, baby. Anything for you."
As she made her way to the plush bed, she slipped underneath the covers, closed her eyes, and tried her best to forget the events of tonight. All she needed was her husband's loving presence to wash away the stress and tension of what had happened. She thought about the time that she had first been scared for Katsuki.
She remembered when she first feared for his life. It had been a week after their second meeting. She had heard on the news that he had been kidnapped by a group of villains. The training camp he had told her about had been attacked. She cried and worried about him. In the days that followed, she had been glued to her TV screen. Her parents forced her to drink tea to help calm her down. She kept her phone constantly charged and in her hand. The entire situation had shaken her to her core.
But none of it compared to the feeling she felt once she watched the battle with All Might and that man called for All for One. Cold fear washed over her, and she couldn't believe what she was seeing. The only thing that gave her any comfort was Katsuki being alive and successfully rescued.
It was late when she saw him next.
Her parents had gone to visit her Aunt who had gotten hurt during the fight as she had been in the vicinity when it happened. She had just gotten out of the shower, dressed in her pajamas and ordering Chinese food as she planned to stay up and attempt to relax.
There was a faint knock at the door.
Frowning, she debated on whether to just pretend that no one was home.
Her phone's ringtone began to play. Glancing at the caller ID, it had read: Suki
It was the first time she had heard from him in over a week, picking it up she immediately answered. "Katsuki…" it was a breathy whisper, tears began to form.
"Open the door, it's cold out here."
Throwing her phone to the couch, she nearly tripped as she ran to the door. Unbolting the door, she threw it open. Katsuki, dressed in dark gray sweatpants, a black t-shirt and a matching hoodie with the hood pulled over his head. He didn't hesitate to catch her as she nearly fell into his arms, sobbing openly and albeit a little too loud.
"You're safe…" she whispered into his hoodie, "I was so worried about you."
He had been quiet as he picked her up and carried her inside her house. She continued to cry, not caring at all if he thought her weak or even pathetic.
"Of course I'm safe dumbass," his voice was gruff but didn't have the usual bite to it. "Why are you crying so much?"
She finally had managed to stop crying. Katsuki had situated them on the couch, holding her in a loose but comforting hold. After having pulled away, his arms immediately crossed over his chest. She glanced and saw that she had left tear stains over it.
"I apologize for your hoo–" he interrupted her
"Don't worry about it," he stated.
They sat in silence. Katsuki, a bit uncomfortable by it, had finally decided to open up a bit to her as he could clearly tell that she had been very worried about him.
Her semi-dry stark black hair framed her face, light purple crescent circles hung under her eyes, her lips cracked and split from the nervous lip biting she must have done. Her pale complexion was a bit paler than usual. Her fingers gripped the hem of her pink silk shorts.
She shivered. Which was no surprise as she only wore a thin black tank top. He unzipped his hoodie and threw it into her lap.
"You shouldn't dress like that if you're just going to get cold."
She flushed, "I–thank you for the hoodie."
Gingerly, she put on the hoodie and zipped it up. She got a strong whiff of his scent: Caramel.
Before anything else can be said, the doorbell went off. She had forgotten about the food she had ordered. "I'll be right back." Standing she grabbed her wallet off the table and made her way towards the front door.
Opening the door, she immediately thanked the delivery boy, pulling out some cash, she handed it over to him and quickly took her food. Closing the door with her foot, she walked back into the living room and set the bags of food down on the small coffee table.
"Were you expecting someone to come over?" he asked as he eyed the three large brown paper bags of chinese food.
She smiled, "I tend to order a little bit of everything. You are welcome to stay and eat dinner with me."
He stared at her in thought, before finally responding. "I'm already here so why not," he responded.
As she stirred from her slumber, she could feel the heaviness of the night weighing down on her bleary eyes. Suddenly, she felt a familiar presence slip into bed behind her. Despite the darkness that enveloped the room, a sliver of moonlight had managed to sneak through the curtains, illuminating the space with a soft glow.
With a gentle tug, she was pulled into the strong arms of Katsuki, his comforting body providing a much-needed sense of safety and security. Tense at first, she gradually relaxed as the delicious scent of caramel and warmth enveloped her being.
"Suki?" she whispered into the quiet of the night, seeking reassurance.
"I'm right here, baby," he murmured into her ear, his voice soothing and calming.
But even with his comforting embrace, she couldn't shake off the fear that had been gnawing at her all night. "I'm still terrified," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.
Without hesitation, Katsuki pressed a soft, warm kiss against the crown of her head, sending a wave of comfort through her entire body. Turning over in his embrace, she nuzzled her head into his neck, breathing in his strong, familiar scent.
The weight of the moment hung heavily in the air. His voice trembled with emotion as he spoke, "When we took our vows, I promised to always keep you safe. And today, I have failed you." The regret in his tone was palpable, a reflection of the pain and guilt he felt.
But his wife, with her gentle touch and unwavering support, refused to let him shoulder the blame alone. "My love," she whispered, planting a soft kiss on his cheek. "You haven't failed me. I know the dangers that come with your job. Just as you can't always protect me, I can't always stay safe."
The truth of her words hung in the air, a reminder of the double-edged sword that came with being a Pro Hero. While he was revered and adored by those he protected, he was also a target for villains and petty criminals alike. As one of the Top Ten Heroes, he was famous and recognized everywhere he went.
Her own quirk, the Divine Purity, wasn't flashy like her husband's, but it was no less valuable. As a support quirk, it allowed her to heal and nurture those in need. And though she had chosen not to pursue the path of a hero like her husband, she had honed her skills and become a doctor, using her quirk to save lives in her own way.
He breathed in her sweet scent of blueberries and cream, whispering, "I love you" into her soft hair. She was his sanctuary, his safe harbor in a turbulent sea. But as she drifted off to sleep, he couldn't escape the anger and guilt that gnawed at him.
To say that he was angry was an understatement.
He had rushed home at the sound of the emergency button, desperate to protect his beloved wife. But as he entered the silent darkness of their home, he was met with a sight that would haunt him forever. The sound of a knife slicing through flesh, the metallic smell of blood, and his wife sitting on top of the lifeless body of the intruder and attacker.
He knew the act of taking a life, even in self-defense, would never leave her. She would carry that burden for the rest of her days.
Closing his eyes, he focused on her breathing and heartbeat to lull him into a deep sleep. His mind strayed to a particular memory. It was when he had asked her to be his girlfriend and they had kissed for the first time.
Katsuki had just come back after a day of practice for his remedial course. After he had failed to get his Provisional license the first time only fueled his drive and motivation to get it. Especially so he could start training to get stronger and beat the bastards, Icy Hot and Deku.
His phone dinged.
Immediately he knew it was Miko.
"I find it strange that such a sweet girl can put up with your attitude sometimes," Enjiro stated as he already knew as well that it was her who had texted him.
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" he barked.
The redhead shrugged at Katsuki's outburst. "It's just that she's so quiet and compassionate, and you're so loud and quick to anger," he said.
Katsuki muttered a curse under his breath before stomping off to his dorm. It was finally Friday, which meant he would get to see her again after a long week of school and training. He knew that she was curious about his life, and he couldn't blame her. Ever since his kidnapping by the League of Villains, she had been worried sick about him.
As soon as he was allowed to go back to school, Katsuki snuck out of his window to see her. Despite his destroyed phone, he knew that she had been trying to reach him. He took the bus and walked the rest of the way to her house, fueled by his desire to see her. When she answered the door, she barely whispered his name before collapsing into his arms, overcome with emotion.
Seeing her so distraught over his well-being made Katsuki realize that he had allowed her to get closer to him than anyone else. To protect her from unnecessary worry, he started talking about her life and what was going on with her.
Despite attending different schools, they were constantly texting during the day and talking on the phone at night. They would often meet up at the park, where they would take walks and decide what to do next.
But today was different. Katsuki had a plan. He had finally worked up the courage to ask her to be his girlfriend. Clutching the velvet box in his coat pocket, he knew that she cared for him deeply, just as he did for her. It was hard for him to admit that he could like someone like her - someone who was too good for him. Even though that redhead was right about him being loud and quick to anger, it didn't matter.
It also didn't stop them from developing a special bond, even if they attended different schools, when they weren't together they had their phones glued to their hands. He knew that she had developed feelings for him. It was nearly impossible not too as he had forced his way into her life, one conversation at a time.
He had developed a soft spot for her, and he was ready to take the next step in their relationship.
His eyes were covered by two small and delicate hands, but he knew exactly who they belonged to as soon as her scent of blueberries and cream hit him. A smirk spread across his lips as she playfully asked, "Guess who?"
He couldn't resist teasing her and replied, "A villain?" causing her to drop her hands and turn around to face him with a pouty expression.
He couldn't help but chuckle at her adorable behavior as she snorted and joked about how she would have done a better job at covering his eyes if she was really a villain. Rolling his eyes, he affectionately ruffled her hair and teased her about her small and terrifying stature. But he quickly shifted his attention to their next destination and took her hand, leading her in a certain direction.
Curiosity got the best of her and she couldn't resist asking, "Where are we going?" With a mysterious smile, he replied, "It's a surprise."
As they walked, she began to talk about her week - the nerve-racking exam she had just taken and her desire to work at a cozy coffee shop nearby called "New Haven". Akira had introduced her to the old fashioned place. She mentioned how the flexible hours would allow her to earn some money and move out once she graduated.
He listened intently to her plans, but his thoughts kept drifting to a future with her. A future where they could explore new places, share their dreams and make new memories together.
Katsuki's heart raced as he contemplated asking her to be his girlfriend. He couldn't bear the thought of being turned down and being relegated to just a friend. The mere idea of it made him sweat profusely, and he tried to hide his clammy hands.
Suddenly, she noticed and asked if he was okay. Katsuki cursed under his breath, realizing that his nerves were getting the best of him.
Continuing not to say anything, he led her towards a more secluded part of the city. Where she had brought him to this little fairy garden that she would go to with her Mom and her friend Akira.
If Deku had listened to him correctly then that meant that the picnic was set up and waiting for the both of them. But Katsuki felt like he was going to fuck it up somehow because when it came to being sentimental and shit, he had no fucking clue what he was doing.
But.
He wanted to try.
For her.
"Katsuki," she called out as she noticed the sun setting. "Where are we going?"
"Be patient and you'll see," he couldn't help but smile.
He found out rather quickly that she was impatient.
She detested waiting. Especially when she knew that a surprise was involved.
The fairy garden had been quite empty, which was a good thing. Finding the picnic that he had Deku set up for him. He glanced back to see that she was distracted by the fireflies that began to glow in the descending darkness.
"It's so beautiful here,"
Stopping, he let go of her hand. She looked towards the picnic. Immediately tears welled in her eyes as she covered her mouth with both her hands.
"I-it's gorgeous," she whimpered. "Is this for me?"
Rubbing the back of his neck, he let out a sigh as he tried to put his thoughts into words. "I really like you Miko," he started. "Being with you makes me feel as though I am more than enough."
He was captivated by her remarkable ability to comprehend his struggle with expressing love through words. For him, it was always a daunting task to articulate his emotions without stumbling over his own words and risking uttering something he would later regret. Nonetheless, she seemed to understand his predicament and didn't judge him for it. Her empathy and acceptance only fueled his admiration for her.
As the tears of joy streamed down her cheeks, she looked up at Katsuki and whispered, "I like you too."
Without a moment's hesitation, he pulled her into his embrace and kissed her passionately. It was as if he couldn't hold back any longer - he needed to feel her lips on his, to taste her sweetness, to know that this moment was real. And as they melted into each other, the world around them faded away, leaving only the two of them lost in the bliss of their newfound love.
With a sly grin, he noticed her dark blush and the way her slightly swollen lips were parted as she gasped for air. But he couldn't resist the perfect moment to give her the gift he had been holding on to for so long. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a beautiful black velvet box and placed it into her trembling hands.
"I've had this for a while now," he explained, watching her carefully as she opened the box. Her eyes widened with surprise as she gazed at the stunning pink butterfly necklace resting inside. "I always wanted to give it to you, but I was waiting for the perfect moment."
As she struggled to find the right words, he stepped behind her and whispered, "Hair up." Without hesitation, she obediently gathered her hair up, giving him full access to place the necklace around her delicate neck. The contrast of the gentle pink butterfly against her skin was breathtaking, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in this intimate moment.
"How did you know about this necklace?" she asked as she turned to him, dropping her hair
Katsuki answered a bit embarrassed, "that day when you saw the necklace, I was on the other side of the glass watching you. I heard your entire conversation and I bought the necklace without even thinking."
She smiled, wrapping her arms around his neck. "Did you purposely bump into me that day?"
Wrapping his arms around her waist, he brought her flush against him with a grunt. "Yes, I followed you and then 'bumped' into you."
Miko giggled before she fake gasped, "The Katsuki is stalking little ole me?"
He smirked, "damn right."
Swooping in for another kiss, he took her hand and led her towards the picnic. "Now let's eat before it gets colder than it already is."
"You cooked for me?"
"Yes," he admitted, which only made her light up.
Waking up the following morning was easier than she thought it would be. Katsuki had woken her up with a soft kiss to her forehead, he had made both of them some breakfast. Miko knew that she needed to face what had happened. She had done her best to ignore all of it.
"I'll drive down to the police station," she exclaimed as she cleared away the dishes, determined to take matters into her own hands. But Katsuki had other plans. With a firm shake of his head, he assured her that there was no need for her to go through the trouble.
Her confusion was evident as she furrowed her eyebrows, wondering why he would say such a thing. Katsuki calmly explained that he had already taken action by pulling the footage from their security system and handing it over to the authorities.
In that moment, she couldn't help but feel grateful for having such a proactive partner. His quick thinking and resourcefulness had saved her from unnecessary trouble, and she couldn't help but admire his unwavering determination to keep them both safe.
He kissed her on the cheek and then left for the bathroom. Quietly she took her time to clean the dishes before she dried her hands. He had just walked back into the kitchen when she turned to him, "I think I want to go lie down for a bit."
Katsuki was silent. "Do you want me to stay with you?"
Miko had been silent for a while. "Are you needed today?"
"The only thing I was going to do was check the damages to the house and hire an interior designer to redesign the kitchen, living room, and entryway."
Katsuki's decision to change the scenery of their home was a thoughtful gesture. He knew that Miko might have flashbacks to the events of the previous night and wanted to avoid triggering her. He was considerate of her well-being and wanted to create a safe space for her. The fact that he was willing to hire an interior designer to redesign their home showed his commitment to making things better for Miko.
Running toward him, she jumped into his arms. "Join me once you finish please?"
Holding her, he couldn't help but smile.
Miko's sudden display of affection towards Katsuki was heartwarming. It was a sign that she still loved and trusted him, despite what had happened. Katsuki's smile showed his appreciation for her gesture and his understanding of her situation. He knew that Miko was not the same person she was before the incident and that she would need time to heal.
Katsuki and Miko's conversation was brief but it spoke volumes about their relationship. Katsuki's offer to stay with Miko showed his concern and love for her. He knew that she was dealing with the aftermath of a traumatic event and wanted to be there for her. Miko's response, on the other hand, showed her vulnerability and dependence on Katsuki. She needed him to be there with her, to provide comfort and security.
The consequences of the intruder's actions had changed Miko's life forever. She had committed an act that would haunt her for the rest of her days. Katsuki knew that he could not change what had happened, but he could be there for Miko. He could support her and help her through the difficult times ahead.
"I love you," he murmured against her forehead
"And I love you"
Eventually he left. She breathed a sigh of relief and retreated back to her bedroom, still clad in her cozy pajamas. As she switched off the lights, her tired body collapsed onto the bed. The weight of the situation had taken its toll on her, leaving her completely drained of any energy. The exhaustion was so intense that even the thought of sleep couldn't bring her any solace. It was as if the chaos had stolen her peaceful slumber along with her strength.
Isolating herself and finding solace in the hungry darkness seemed to help soothe her for moments before the events of last night began to gnaw at her. Taking a deep breath, she forced herself into a slight meditative state. Something that she had learned from Akira back in their medical school days.
They had spent so much time drinking coffee and from the cafe they used to work at. New Haven. She still could smell the strong scent of roasting beans, cream cheese danishes and the soft sound of the bell.
She was never cut out for being a hero, she always knew that. From a young age she knew that she'd never be able to be the hero she dreamed of being. Instead she abandoned those dreams and opted to become a healer instead, which was just as revered and much needed. Her quirk allowed her to heal people and herself.
Studying surgeries and procedures she always thought about pursuing a career in the medical field so she could still help those in need. Her desire to help those around her drove her motivation to study hard in school and be at the top of her class. Yeah she wasn't crazy strong nor did she have a flashy quirk but she still had a quirk that was useful in other situations.
Scrolling through the several news articles that flooded the internet everyday was a stark reminder of what she walked away from. It was always about the Pro Hero's and what new villain they had captured. She didn't care for the limelight or the interviews that came with it, not even the money mattered to her. It was the exhilarating rush that came with saving people's lives.
"Miko," fingers were being snapped in front of her face causing her mind to come back to the present. "You're daydreaming again."
It was her best friend, Higarashi Akira, who stood in front of her with a raised eyebrow.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to daydream again."
"Miko, I know it's your break, but I need help taking down orders," clicking off her phone, she stood up from the antique couch as she stuffed it in the back pocket of her skinny jeans.
"How busy is it out there?" Akira made a face, causing her to sigh as it was answered enough.
Re-tying the black apron on, she plastered on a smile hoping that it would cover how tired she really was. Following Akira back into the store-front, she internally cringed at the long line of customers that were waiting to have their orders taken.
For the next hour, she was on auto-pilot as she took order after order from the customers. Usually it wasn't this overwhelming to take orders but it was only Akira and her working for the last few days and the lack of sleep and long shifts was getting to them. Cami had taken her leave as she was due to have her baby any day now and their boss, the owner of the coffee shop, was busy with expanding the business on the other side of the city.
Wiping down the counter, she slowly looked around the coffee shop, customers were drinking their coffees as they read or scrolled on their phones. She glanced at the clock on the wall, it read '1:29' in bright white numbers. Akira and herself both missed lunch again. Right on que, her stomach growled in protest.
"Hold down the fort, and I'll go across the street and get us some pizza for lunch," Akira came out of the back, wallet in hand as she took off her apron and set it behind the counter.
"I could kiss you,"
"Wouldn't be the first time," she grinned before she left out the door, the small bell giving a 'ding'
Akira and her had been best friends and neighbors since they were in grade school. Realistically, she couldn't see her life without her best friend at her side. Her best friend who had been there for her, who allowed her to crash at her parents house when she got into fights with her Mother.
"I'm soooo tired…." Akira fell back onto the couch with a loud groan as she patted her belly, "at least my stomach isn't growling anymore."
Leaning back against the couch, I stretched my arms and legs as I leaned my back up against the couch, "at least you get off in an hour."
"Yeah, and then I have an hour to clean up and make it to class on time."
They both worked and went to college as they had graduated from high school barely two years ago. Akira insisted that taking classes in the afternoon was easier than taking classes in the morning–and she was dead wrong– as she mostly received the afternoon shifts and then had class that went to 8 at night. While Miko had opted to go to class in the mornings and work the night shifts. However, since it was just the two of them working now, they had to take turns covering for Cami's shift who always chooses mornings since she had a little one to take to school but with another baby on the way, she took her leave and wouldn't return for three months.
"I hope that Ryoko will hire a temp for Cami's shift because I don't think I can look at another energy drink without getting nauseous," she complained as she tossed the empty pizza box to the floor
Miko just grunted in response, too tired and too full to move from her comfy spot.
"How's it going with you and Katsuki?"
The question had been asked countless times over the years, yet the answer never got old. Their love story was like a fine wine - it only got better with time. Sure, they had their fair share of disagreements, but nothing they couldn't handle. In fact, they only had one major fight, but it was over before it began as they both quickly realized how much they meant to each other.
Katsuki was head over heels for her - it was obvious to anyone who saw them together. And she felt the same way about him.
Just the thought of their plans for the evening made her heart flutter with excitement. "He's taking me out to dinner," she beamed with joy.
Akira rolled her eyes playfully and threw a greasy napkin at the side of her head. "Ugh, your relationship is sickeningly sweet," she groaned. "Stop being cute with your boyfriend."
As if Katsuki had heard her himself, her phone went off.
Akira faked cried.
"Hey baby," he gasped into the phone. She could tell something was wrong by the way he was breathing.
"Is everything alright?" she asked, her heart racing with worry. Knowing he was a Pro Hero, she always feared the worst.
With a heavy sigh, he revealed the unfortunate news. "I have some bad news. The restaurant I was planning to take you to was destroyed in a villain attack."
She couldn't help but stifle a giggle at the absurdity of the situation. "Oh Katsuki, you had me worried for a moment there," she said, relieved that he was safe.
He scoffed, "as if any villain could take me down."
The admiration in her voice was evident as she replied, "you're truly unbeatable, my hero."
Suddenly, there was a loud thud on the other end of the line, followed by a string of curse words muttered under his breath. "Shit, baby," he growled in frustration.
His words went straight to her core. Flustered, she bit her bottom lip in an attempt to alleviate the ache between her legs.
"Goddammit," he cursed before he hung up
Smiling to herself, she stuffed the phone back into her apron. Him hanging up on her wasn't anything new. She had been used to it when he graduated and life had become a lot more busy for him.
She would take every little moment with him.
Glancing at the time, she saw it was nearing '3:00'. Akira's shift would be over in twenty minutes.
"Hey, why not clock out early? I can cover your last twenty minutes so you can have some extra time before class." Miko, the helpful co-worker, suggested with a warm smile.
Akira's face lit up with excitement as she jumped off the couch. Without hesitation, she tore off her black apron and threw it across the room like a triumphant athlete. "Have I ever told you how in love I am with you?" She gushed with admiration.
Miko playfully rolled her eyes, "no, actually, you haven't mentioned it before."
Chuckling, Akira continued, "I am madly in love with you."
With a beaming grin, Miko shooed her off, "yes, yes, now leave. I can take it from here."
As Miko cleaned up the mess, Akira swiftly grabbed her backpack from her locker, fluffing up her long blonde hair and checking herself out in the mirror. The scene before her brought back fond memories of their high school days.
Suddenly, her phone beeped loudly, jolting her back to reality. "Shit, I have to go if I wanna get a good parking spot!" She exclaimed, rushing out of the employees lounge. However, she couldn't resist poking her head back in the door to confirm their plans for drinks tomorrow.
"Are we still going out for drinks tomorrow?" She asked eagerly.
Miko smiled, "Yeah, of course."
"Good, now love you!" Akira exclaimed before darting out of the store.
As Miko retired her black apron and began cleaning mugs, the small bell above the door chimed, signaling the arrival of a new customer. And not just any customer- her pro hero, her boyfriend, and her best friend: Katsuki Bakugou.
As he stepped into the room, his Hero uniform perfectly accentuated his muscular physique. His piercing eyes locked onto her, conveying a sense of urgency and fatigue. Miko had caught wind of recent news reports, and if she had interpreted them correctly, he had been fighting off villains non-stop all day.
"Katsuki…" she whispered, barely audible above the sound of her own racing heart.
Without uttering a word, he strode towards her with determination, taking her hand and pulling her into the backroom. As they entered the employee lounge, he released her hand and pushed her up against his body, causing her cheeks to flush with warmth.
As he drew closer, he buried his nose into the curve of her neck, inhaling her intoxicating scent. She couldn't help but wrap her arms around him, knowing that he sought comfort and safety in her embrace. It was a moment of pure connection, as if their bodies were speaking a language that only they could understand.
"I missed you," was all he said in a defeated tone.
"I missed you as well," she murmured.
As he pulled away, his hands firmly grasping her shoulders, he gazed intently at her. Miko couldn't help but feel self-conscious, hoping that he wouldn't notice the dark circles under her eyes and the weariness etched on her face. Her complexion was paler than usual, making the dark shadows lining the underside of her eyes even more prominent. Truth be told, she was exhausted. She knew that if he did, he would become overprotective, insisting that she skip work and take care of herself.
"You look exhausted," he said, studying her with concern. But Katsuki knew that his stubborn partner would never concede to taking a break. So, he devised a plan - "Let's take it easy tonight. I'll come to pick you up and we'll spend the weekend at my place."
As he saw her face light up with excitement, he felt a sense of contentment wash over him. Katsuki cared for her deeply and wanted to make sure she was taking care of herself, even if she couldn't see it.
And he knew she felt the same way. Her eyes sparkled with admiration as she gazed at him. She couldn't help but feel absolutely smitten by him.
"Can't wait," she murmured, her heart fluttering as he gently tilted her chin and captured her lips in a passionate kiss.
With a sudden rush of passion, he crushed his lips against hers, causing her to tense up for a moment in surprise. But as he deepened the kiss, she began to moan with pleasure, wrapping her arms tightly around his neck. Miko felt like she was in pure ecstasy as he lifted her up in his arms and carried her to the couch, never breaking the kiss. Katsuki's tongue danced with hers, sending shivers down her spine. With a gentle touch, he brushed his fingers across her cheek before firmly cupping the back of her neck, pulling her closer to him. It was as if the entire world had faded away, leaving only the two of them lost in the heat of the moment.
"Ahh~" she cried out as he sharply bit down on her neck.
As he drew her close, his hands began a tantalizing journey down the curve of her spine. With a swift movement, he lifted her up and pressed her against the lockers, her legs instinctively wrapping around his waist. The heat between them grew as their bodies pressed together, leaving them both breathless and longing for more.
Katsuki's fingers traced up the length of Miko's smooth, silky legs, eliciting a low groan from his lips. His eyes met hers, filled with a hunger that could not be sated. As their lips met in a fiery embrace, Katsuki couldn't help but gulp audibly, lost in the heat of the moment.
But just as things were heating up, the bell above the store door jangled loudly, signaling the arrival of new customers. Katsuki and Miko reluctantly pulled away, their bodies still buzzing with desire, and turned towards the sound.
"I must return back to work," he set her down as she immediately fixed her uniform
He cupped her face once more, "I love you." Placing a chaste kiss to her forehead, he left out the back door, leaving her to resume work.
As the sun began to set, Miko finally stirred from her deep slumber. She stretched her arms and legs, feeling well-rested and content. The note from Katsuki caught her eye, assuring her that he would be back before dinner. She smiled, feeling grateful for such a thoughtful partner. A simple lunch awaited her in the kitchen which she enjoyed with gusto. Yet, even as she ate, the feeling of guilt still lingered in her heart. She couldn't shake off the memory of what had transpired the night prior.
But then again, she knew that it was a matter of self-defense. The intruder had stalked her, broken into their house, attempted to kidnap her, and had even both physically and sexually assaulted her. She had tried to flee, but the man's intentions were clear. So, in the heat of the moment, she had no choice but to subdue him permanently.
The rush of adrenaline had taken over her, and she watched as her body acted on its own. Looking back, she realized that she might have been weak, but the adrenaline had saved her from a terrible fate. The man in black would have raped and killed her, all in an attempt to break Katsuki's spirit.
Speaking of Katsuki, Miko couldn't help but smile as she thought of him. Many saw him as rude, vulgar, and even villainous. But she knew the truth. He was a great man, with a fierce drive to become the number one pro hero. She had known him since they were kids, watching him grow and develop into the person he was today.
True, he had been a bully, particularly towards young and quirkless Izuku Midoriya. But even then, Miko had seen his talent and merit. He had been arrogant and condescending, but he had the skills to back it up. And while he still called him "Deku," she knew that deep down, Katsuki had a soft spot for his childhood friend.
The shock had more than worn off, she had already experienced anger and grief at the consequences of taking a life. Miko had been through the wringer. It all bubbled just below the surface. But she knew that she couldn't let herself wallow in self-pity forever; she was a grown woman, after all, and she was married to Katsuki. When she had said yes to his proposal, she had known that her life would be put under a microscope by the public and the media. She would be the target of those who despised her husband, and she needed to be ready for it.
As the wife of Pro Hero "Dynamite," Miko couldn't afford to be anything less than strong. She was his representation, his partner, and his support system. With a newfound resolve, she knew that she needed to pull herself together. So, she made the decision to take a shower - to wash away the grime and the stress of the day - and step out with her head held high. No matter what came her way, Miko was ready to face it head-on, with strength and grace.
Because through it all, her husband remained a steady presence by her side, providing her with the love and support she needed in that moment of distress. Despite the pain in her feet and the chaos surrounding them, she knew that with her husband by her side, she would be okay. She never wanted to feel that kind of fear again, but she knew that being with Katsuki meant that she would always be on the edge of danger. Despite that, she was willing to take the risk because being with him was worth it.
Katsuki had made a promise to return before dinner, and he kept it. As he entered the room, he expected his wife to be in bed, but what he found instead was something unexpected. Soft music filled the air, and the lights had been dimmed to create a cozy, romantic atmosphere. He could hear the sound of dishes clattering in the kitchen.
His wife, Miko, was standing with her back to him, wearing his t-shirt and pajama shorts. She swayed her hips to the music as she cooked, and Katsuki couldn't help but smile as he watched her. He leaned against the doorframe, his arms crossed over his chest, admiring her every move.
When she turned to face him, she set down the spatula and gave him a soft smile. Barefoot, she padded over to him and wrapped her arms around his waist, rubbing her face into his chest. "I appreciate you," she murmured, and Katsuki heard every word loud and clear.
He placed his hand on top of her head and used his other arm to wrap around her waist. Looking down at her, he could see the admiration, love, and appreciation in her wide, dark blue eyes.
"Are you feeling well?" he asked her, concerned.
"I'm feeling better," she replied honestly. "It took me a while to process everything, but I realized that I had to do what was necessary. I understand now that I didn't do it with malicious intent."
Overwhelmed by the recent events, he was both satisfied and apprehensive of his wife's mental well-being. As he buried his face into her neck, he couldn't resist nuzzling her gently and inhaling her sweet scent of blueberries and cream.
His name, "Suki," escaped his lips as their mouths met in a shuddering kiss, sending waves of sensation through them both.
Katsuki's hands found their way to Miko's neck and cheek, his kiss slow and tentative, yet undeniably tender. She was surprised by his gentleness as he tasted her, every movement deliberate and reserved, a hallmark of his nature when it came to her. A soft moan escaped her lips as she felt his grip tighten, and she heard a low rumble in his throat as his kiss turned possessive and demanding.
Miko could feel her heart pounding in her chest as panic started to rise in her throat. Suddenly, she felt a tiny brush of fang on her lower lip, causing her heart to race even faster. Katsuski pulled away abruptly, leaving her gasping for breath.
"As much as I'd love to hear you scream in my ear," he said with a wicked grin, "I'm starving."
Miko's face turned beet red as she turned away and continued cooking, trying to hide her embarrassment. She could feel Katsuski's eyes on her as she finished preparing the food, and she couldn't help but feel a thrill of excitement at the thought of him watching her. Even after all these years together, his vulgar words still had the power to make her blush and feel alive with desire.
Finally, the food was ready, and Miko set it down on the table. Katsuski took a seat and watched as she sat down across from him. As they began to eat, Miko couldn't help but steal glances at him, feeling grateful for the excitement and passion he brought into her life.
After dinner, they engaged in some small talk while they washed, dried, and put away the dishes. He excused himself to take a shower and emerged in just his sweatpants. That's when he caught a glimpse of his wife. She was curled up in her favorite chair, sipping peppermint tea from her special blue mug while reading on her tablet with reading glasses on. He couldn't help but admire her from afar, but he craved her touch, her warmth.
She always drank peppermint tea when she was thinking.
He walked over to her and sat on the small coffee table facing her. Her eyes met his, and she blushed. He asked her if she was ready to come to bed, but to his surprise, she hesitated. "Would it be wrong if I said no?" she asked with a hint of shyness.
He swallowed hard, wondering what she had in mind. "And what would you want to do instead?" he asked, intrigued.
She put down her mug and tablet on the table, her glasses soon joining them. The blanket that had been in her lap slid down to the floor, and she whimpered, "I want you to make me feel good, Katsuki. I want to feel only you."
Her words sent shivers down his spine, and he knew she had no idea how much power she had over him. All he wanted was to bury himself between her thighs and hear her moan his name. He wanted to remind her that she belonged to him, and only him.
As Katsuki lifted Miko up from the chair and onto his lap, she let out a soft hum, closing her eyes as he gripped her thighs. With a smirk on his face, he couldn't help but enjoy the way her cheeks turned red with embarrassment. Slowly, he began pulling down her panties while placing tender kisses on her flushed skin. As he spread her legs apart, she couldn't help but feel nervous and excited all at once.
With her lips pressed against his neck, Miko felt his body tense as he let out a low groan. Gently placing her on the edge of the bed, Katsuki crawled in after her, his lips never leaving hers as they pulled the covers back and shimmied under them. Cupping her face in his hands, he looked deeply into her eyes before slowing down their tempo and sharing a deep and passionate kiss.
Trailing kisses down her jawline and onto her neck, Katsuki reveled in the way Miko's body reacted to his every touch. With each sweet sound that escaped her lips, he felt his heart grow lighter than ever before. Rolling her over onto her back, he could smell her arousal growing stronger as he placed his head between her legs and began to explore her with his tongue.
Looking back on how they had fallen in love, Miko never would have guessed it would have ended up like this. But as Katsuki continued to explore her body with his tongue, she knew that she had found the perfect man to share her life with.
"Such a pretty sight baby," he rasped as he nuzzled his face into her cunt
Miko's breath caught in her throat as she felt his strong hands wrap around her thighs. With a sense of safety and warmth, she rested her hands on his chest, feeling his hardened cock press against her stomach. As he positioned himself between her legs, gently brushing against her aching cunt, she tugged on his lower lip with her teeth, whimpering for more.
She whimpered, begging him to take her. Katsuki's piercing gaze met hers, and he gently brushed his lips against her cheek before positioning himself. His voice, filled with raw desire and affection, whispered,
"Miko, I'll always be here for you." Miko smiled, her eyes locked onto his, just as he thrust himself deep inside of her. A moan escaped her lips, and Katsuki groaned with pleasure, but then his concern spiked as he heard her whimper under him.
Miko readjusted herself to accommodate the new pressure, and breathed out a profanity before moaning, "I'll never get used to you filling me up like this."
Katsuki couldn't help but grunt in agreement, "Dammit, baby. You have no idea how sexy that sounded."
Miko's eyes flickered with playfulness as she ran her hands up his shoulders, whispering seductively, "It's the simple truth now please make love to me, My Hero."
Katsuki's response was a guttural growl, "With pleasure." He pulled her close, kissing her deeply as he continued to thrust into her with a fierce passion that left them both breathless.
Miko's body arched off the bed with each thrust from Katsuki, sending waves of pleasure through her. She traced her fingers over his strong, muscular back while he devoured her neck with kisses. The love she felt for him was overwhelming, her heart beating faster and faster as she surrendered to the passion. Despite the hardships she had faced in her life, Katsuki had been her rock, showing her kindness and care from the very beginning. She knew she could never love anyone else as much as she loved him.
As Katsuki's hands found their way to her breasts, she moaned with pleasure, completely captivated by him. He saw the beauty in her even during her darkest moments, and hearing her beg for him to go deeper, to be rougher, made him feel like he was on top of the world. Her fingers dug into his shoulders as he teased her nipple with his tongue, and when he shifted his hips to a new angle, she was consumed with desire.
"M–Suki, don't stop," she begged, pulling him into a passionate kiss.
He could feel her walls clench around him, driving him wild with pleasure. He swore under his breath as he pounded into her, determined to make her come undone. She was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen, raw and unbridled in her desire for him.
Finally, they reached the peak of their pleasure together, their bodies shaking with the force of their release. Katsuki claimed her as his own, pouring everything he had into her. As they lay there, exhausted and blissful, he held her close, whispering words of love into her ear. In that moment, nothing else mattered except the two of them, entwined in their love.
Miko wrapped her leg around his and rested her head on his chest, feeling more content than she had in ages. Katsuki's eyes were closed, but a small smile played on his lips. She gazed up at him with a sleepy smile, feeling her heart swell with love for him.
"I love you, Katsuki," she murmured.
"I love you too, Miko," he replied, kissing her head.
Yet in that moment, she knew that there was nowhere else she'd rather be than in his arms, lost in the moment and swept away by the intensity of their love. Together, they drifted off into a peaceful sleep, their bodies intertwined as one.
In the middle of the night, Katsuki's eyes shot open, shooting up out of bed in a cold sweat.
His nightmare had been the other night. That his phone blared with the alarming message that the emergency button had been triggered. His heart pounded in his chest as the fear of finding his beloved wife injured or worse, flooded his mind. It was a fear that chilled him to his core, surpassing even the terror he experienced when he was captured by the sludge villain, kidnapped by the League of Villains, or when he faced off against the infamous All For One.
Losing his wife was simply unthinkable and the mere thought of it was enough to send shivers down his spine. Running a hand through his slightly damp hair, he glanced over to his wife. She was sprawled out on her stomach, the sheet only covering her bottom half as her stark black hair was sprawled on the pillow. Leaning over, he brushed a strand behind her ear, placing a gentle kiss to her cool cheek.
She mumbled a soft "Katsuki," before she snored softly.
He chuckled to himself, "beauty."
Standing, he made his way to the bathroom to take a cold shower in hopes that it would soothe his turmoil over the events.
There were boxes everywhere, Katsuki had taken the week off to assist his new wife in moving their things into the new house. They had just gotten married a few months ago and had gone on their honeymoon in America before they returned. Their house had just finished being built a week ago and was ready to be moved into. Katsuki had insisted that the house needed to be built to his special qualifications as his job as Pro Hero gave him enemies and he refused to leave his house defenseless especially once they started having children.
Children…
He stopped what he was doing and glanced over to his darling new bride. Her hair was tied up in a ponytail, it bounced as she walked back and forth from box to box and unpacking their living room. He couldn't help but smile, the idea of Miko being pregnant, waddling around with a round bump, smiling and talking about names and her signing him up to build the crib, her asking him to babyproof the house.
"Katsuki, darling," she started with a soft whine. "Have you seen the candle holders?"
Blinking, he watched her as she began to pilfer through the boxes. As she dropped a throw pillow in the process. She bent over in her tiny black workout shorts, the spandex fabric stretched and hugged her ass perfectly.
Containing his audible groan, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
He stalked over to her, grabbed her hips and brought her body flushed to him, her ass right up on the front of his jeans. Swearing under his breath, he grounded up against her.
"You are insatiable," she giggled. "At this rate, we will never finish moving in the house."
Katsuki hummed, "nothing wrong with a break." He bit into her shoulder, unable to stop himself from having the taste of her smooth flesh.
"It's as if you are trying to get me pregnant," she moaned
He couldn't help but hide his grin, "would you hate the idea if I brought it up?"
She paused, immediately she turned in his embrace. Her eyes wide and mouth agape, "A–are you sure? I mean we just got married, just moved into our new house, and if anythi–"
Grabbing her shoulders, he forced her into a kiss. "Miko, baby, calm down please." Flustered, she nodded, "what I'm meaning to say is that I want us to start trying. If it happens then it happens,"
Her eyes shone, tears welling up. "I would love that."
Growling he lifted her by the legs, she yelped in surprise but that didn't stop him from carrying her into the kitchen. His mouth on her neck, biting and sucking every inch of flesh he could get his mouth on,
"We need to finish packing," she whimpered before sharply hissing once he sat her down on the island before her eyes flew open and gasped. "You're not planning on taking me on the island right?"
Growling, he leaned forward and nipped her neck. "By the time I'm through with you baby, there will not be a single surface in this whole house that I will not have fucked you on."
Miko whimpered, "is that a promise?"
He smirked.
As he stepped out onto the balcony, he felt the cool breeze on his face. His fresh sweatpants felt soft against his skin as he gripped the iron railing tightly, trying to shake off the nightmare that still lingered in his mind after his refreshing shower. He didn't want to disturb his wife, who was finally sleeping soundly, so he retreated to the balcony to find solace and rid himself of the restlessness he felt.
But it wasn't easy.
She was his anchor, the one who kept him grounded.
He remembered how, during their younger years, he would never admit it out loud, but she was the driving force behind his pursuit of peace in their battles against Shigaraki and All for One. Her unwavering support and unwavering love gave him the strength to keep fighting, even when things got tough. As he stood there, taking in the serene view of the sleeping city below, he couldn't help but feel grateful for her presence in his life.
If he were to lose her…
With a fierce grip, he slammed his fist onto the balcony, not even flinching from the pain. He welcomed the throbbing sensation, hoping it would distract him from the overwhelming feelings of guilt, shame, and failure.
Suddenly, a soft voice broke through his thoughts,"That is surely going to leave a bruise." He knew that voice all too well, and he didn't need to look to know who it belonged to.
"You're supposed to be sleeping," he grumbled, rubbing his hand.
She tsked, "you know that I can't sleep without you." His heart softened a bit, knowing how much she depended on him.
Defeated, he finally turned to face his wife, his black long-sleeved shirt hugging her body as she stood there, shivering in the cold, windy night. She looked at him with understanding, and he felt a sense of relief wash over him.
Without a word, he opened his arms, silently summoning her to him. She immediately dove into his embrace with a small grin. "You're going to catch a cold out here, dumbass," he grunted, holding her tightly to his chest.
"I have you to keep me warm," she murmured, nuzzling her head into his chest. He couldn't help but smile. With her by his side, he felt like he could conquer anything.
With him by her side, he knew she could face whatever their lives had in store. But he vowed to be there for her, to protect and support her as she navigated the aftermath of that terrible night. And as he held her close, he knew that their love would carry them through even the darkest of times.
"I don't think I can ever fully trust myself to keep you safe after I failed you." Katsuki admitted, his voice heavy with guilt.
She let out a hum, not having any of it. " Don't you dare say that," she retorted, her eyes blazing with determination. "You are more than capable of protecting me. You are the greatest person I will ever know. What happened last night scared me, there is no denying it. Being attacked by a man who wanted nothing more than to use me in an attempt to get to you was dehumanizing, as if I was just a tool in his sick game."
She took a pause to kiss him on the cheek, before she continued. "My feelings will never change as I am well aware of what I had signed up for when I agreed to be with you, Katsuki. As the Great Pro Hero Dynamite, our life was constantly in the public eye, and I am well aware that I would always be a target for those seeking to harm him and by those wanting to destroy the peace that you helped create and continue to protect. I love you Katsuki, you have not failed me."
There was no arguing with her. Katsuki knew this. His wife always knew just the right words to say to him when he had his moments. It was one of the reasons why he loved her. Why he adored and cherished her.
"I love you, Katsuki," she whispered, planting a tender kiss on his cheek. "And I will always stand by your side, no matter what."
Katsuki felt a surge of warmth in his chest at her words. His wife was his rock, always there to support him and lift him up when he needed it most. As they stood there, wrapped up in each other, he couldn't help but think about how lucky he was to have her in his life. They had been together for nearly a decade, and yet every day he fell more and more in love with her.
But as he gazed down at the woman in his arms, he couldn't shake the nagging feeling that no amount of time would ever be enough. He wanted to wake up to her smile and her laughter every morning, for the rest of his life.
"Katsuki, darling," she began, her voice trailing off as her stomach growled. "I'm starving."
"What can I get for you?" he asked, eager to satisfy her cravings.
"Something sweet and savory, like baked apples with caramel and cinnamon," she replied with a grin.
Katsuki's expression turned quizzical as he realized that he had never seen her eat or even mention such a snack before.
"Interesting choice," he remarked, trying to hide his confusion.
Miko's cheeks blushed with delight as she revealed the reason behind her sudden craving, "Well I am eating for two now…"
Katsuki's eyes widened in disbelief, his heart pounding with excitement. He blinked once. Twice. Before he snapped out of it. "That's amazing news," he exclaimed, pulling her close in a tight embrace. "When did you find out?"
"I went to the doctor last week, and I was planning to tell you over dinner before all this happened," she explained, her eyes sparkling with joy.
"We'll call him Great Explosion Murder God Dynamite Jr," he stated with a little too much seriousness for her liking. "He'll be a Pro Hero like me," he stated.
Miko rolled her eyes, "oh yeah darling, just like you."
