Rick and Morty are walking through a strange world in which weird things are happening all around them. That's typical for Rick and Morty, but what they don't realize is they are currently in the world of "FLCL."

Morty sees a strange alien walking past him and chases after him, eager to find out what kind of being he is. But the alien has no time for questions and runs off.

Meanwhile, Rick is busy looking at his smartphone and ignores all the weird things going on around him. Suddenly, he feels a tap on his shoulder and turns to see Haruko.

"Hey, handsome," Haruko says with a wink. Rick smiles nervously and says, "Uh, hi? Who are you?"

Haruko looks confused and asks, "What do you mean? I'm Haruko Haruhara. We're in the middle of a battle here, so can we chat later?"

Rick looks even more confused. "You're in the middle of... what?"

Rick looks around and sees that the world around him and Morty has changed into some kind of anime world. Haruko rolls her eyes and says, "Come on, you should know this stuff. That's what happens when you cross dimensions."

Rick says, "Did I mention I drink a lot?"

"Oh, sure, blame it on the liquor," Haruko says, crossing her arms. "But I know you're smarter than that."

Rick looks her over and sees that she is very attractive. He decides to flirt and says, "You know, you're looking pretty good yourself."

Haruko seems taken aback by Rick's flirting, but she smiles back at him.

Morty, who was trying to catch the alien when they were teleported, runs over to them and says, "Rick, what are you doing? We were in the middle of tracking that thing." He looks at Haruko and says, "Who is this lady?"

Rick puts his arm around Haruko and says, "This is Haruko, Morty. I think I love her."

Morty looks confused and says, "What? No, you mean just like how you say you love pizza. Right, Rick?"

Rick laughs and says, "Haha, yeah, sure, pizza." He winks at Haruko and says, "Let's go somewhere we can be alone."

Haruko chuckles and says, "Alright big boy. But only if Morty can join us." She smiles mischievously at Morty.

Morty looks a little scared but decides to go along with it. He and Haruko follow Rick to a secluded grove where they can talk without being bothered.

Rick says, "So, Haruko. I just have to say, you have got some serious moves." He moves closer to her and puts his arm around her.

Haruko looks at him and smiles. She says, "Thanks, Rick. You're pretty cute yourself."

Morty stands off to the side, feeling a little like a third wheel. He watches Rick and Haruko flirt with each other and wonders what is going to happen next.

Rick moves even closer to Haruko and says, "I feel like I've known you for years. You're amazing. Did you know you remind me of a girl I love back home?"

Haruko looks at Rick and says, "Oh, really? Who's the girl?" She moves into his arms.

Rick smiles and says, "Her name is Unity. She was very special to me, but I lost her. I think I'm falling in love with you now, Haruko."

Haruko nods her head and says, "I understand, Rick. Sometimes, losing someone can make you realize how much you need someone. I know I need someone now, and I think I need you."

Morty just stares at them, unable to believe what is happening. He wants to shout at them that everything is a mistake, but he can't bring himself to do it.

Haruko looks up at Rick and says, "Can I ask you something, Rick?"

Rick looks at Haruko and says, "Sure, what's up?" He brushes a strand of hair out of her face.

Haruko takes his hand and says, "I really want to be close to you... Can I kiss you, Rick?"

Rick pulls her close and answers, "Well, I can't think of any reason to say no to that."

And with that, Rick and Haruko share a passionate kiss.

After a moment, Rick and Haruko pull away from each other. Haruko is blushing, and Rick is grinning like a fool.

Morty just stands there, still stunned by what he has just witnessed. He wants to scream at Rick for breaking his heart, but he can't say a word.

"Come on, Morty," Rick says, taking Haruko's hand. "Let's get out of here. Tonight might be our last night together, and I don't want to waste it."

Haruko nods and smiles as they walk away, leaving Morty alone.

Morty is still standing in the grove, his heart broken and head spinning. He watches as Rick and Haruko walk away through the trees. Suddenly, he hears someone call his name. He turns to see Naota standing in the clearing.

"Come on, Morty," Naota says, "I think we're in trouble." Morty takes a deep breath and follows Naota through the trees.

They stumble upon Haruko's spaceship, which has landed in the grove. Rick and Haruko are inside the ship, making out passionately. Morty feels like he is going to burst into tears.

Morty starts pounding on the door of Haruko's spaceship. He yells, "Rick! Open the door!"

Haruko and Rick ignore him and keep flirting and kissing. Morty pounds harder on the door and yells, "Rick! Please, please open the door."

Rick and Haruko don't hear him and continue making out. Morty falls to his knees and bangs his head against the door. He starts crying.

Rick and Haruko finally hear Morty outside the door. They look puzzled at first, but then Rick's face lights up in realization. He jumps up and opens the door.

"Morty, my boy!" Rick cries as he hugs Morty tight.

Morty leans into Rick's embrace and wipes the tears from his eyes. He says, "How could you do this to me?"

Rick looks embarrassed but says, "I'm sorry, Morty. But I've found love again. With Haruko."

Morty looks heartbroken. He says, "But, Rick, how could you do this to me? You know how much I love you. And now you're choosing Haruko over me? After all we've been through? After everything I've done for you?"

Rick looks at Morty and says, "I'm sorry, Morty. But Haruko is special. She makes me feel like I've never felt before."

Morty starts to cry and says, "But... but what about me? What about us?"

Rick looks at Morty with sadness in his eyes. He says, "You know I care about you, Morty. But Haruko makes me happy. I love her. And I think... maybe... it's time for us to go our separate ways."

Morty bursts into tears again and says, "After all we've been through, after all the memories we've made together? How can you just throw that all away for some girl you just met?"

Rick puts his hand on Morty's shoulder and says, "Morty, listen. These things happen. Even the strongest relationships can't last forever. It's time for us to move on."

Morty wipes the tears from his eyes and says, "But, Rick, I can't do that. I can't be alone. I need you."

Rick looks sad but says, "Sometimes, Morty, being alone is the only way to find out what you really want. We'll always have our memories, but right now I need to be with Haruko. I hope you can understand that."

Morty nods his head and says, "I want you to be happy, Rick. And if being with Haruko makes you happy, then I have to accept that."

Rick smiles and says, "Thanks, Morty. I hope you can find someone to make you happy too."

They share a hug, and then Morty turns to leave.

But before he goes, he looks back at Rick and says, "I love you, Rick. Always will."

Rick smiles at Morty and says, "I love you too, Morty."

Rick and Morty part ways, each going in their own chosen direction. Morty heads off back to his world to grieve the loss of his relationship with Rick. Rick heads off with Haruko to a new adventure.

As Rick and Haruko fly away on Haruko's spaceship, they look back at Morty with a slight twinge of sadness. But Rick says, "Don't worry, Morty. I'm sure we'll meet again someday."

And Morty just stands there watching the ship disappear in the sky and wonders if he'll ever see Rick and Haruko again.
