19. A Day Without Phantom

Danny Phantom Forever

Spoiler: This chapter will be a nice nod to "Girl's Night Out" and we'll see some nice bonding between Danielle and her family. We'll also see some nice action involving Valerie, and we'll get to see more of Mayor Foley.

A Day Without Phantom

It was night time in Amity Park when Danny was chasing the Box Ghost through the sky as he screamed and whimpered.

Danny chased him with an impatient expression while his left hand glowed green as he said, "Come on Box Ghost! You know how this ends!"

He fired a ghost ray at the Box Ghost's butt and made him cry in pain as he held his butt and kept flying away.

He stopped and floated in the air as he turned back to Danny and said, "You cannot defeat me! For I am the Box Ghost! You will fall before my power of cardboard and bubble rap!"

Danny floated in the air with his arms folded as he tediously said, "Uh huh. Sure. Danielle, would you please."

Suddenly the Box Ghost heard Danielle's voice say, "With pleasure!"

Danielle floated behind the Box Ghost as he turned around and looked at her with a startled expression on his face.

She smiled as she aimed the Fenton Thermos at him and said, "Beware!"

She sucked him into the Fenton Thermos as he screamed, she put the lid on and Danny smiled as he said, "Nice job Dani. Now let's head home. We have to get ready for our trip tomorrow."

He started flying away while Danielle happily followed him and said, "Yes! I can't wait!"

After they flew away, Skulker appeared as he phased up through a roof and watched the two ghost hybrids fly away.

As Skulker watched them he smiled evilly and said to himself, "And I can't wait to have my two new trophies."

Meanwhile at the GIW's headquarters

The Guys in White were working in a lab as they constructed a large weapon that looked like a large white and black robot, approximately sixteen feet tall.

Operative O stared at the weapon as he said, "Is it ready?"

K stood behind another GIW agent working at a computer as he said, "Almost. The operating system is booting up now."

The agent on the computer finished typing as he said, "Done."

K walked over and joined O as they stared at their robot as it stood tall, and K happily said, "The White King is online and ready for action."

O smiled ambitiously as he said, "Yes! With this we'll be able to defend Amity Park way better than Danny Phantom ever did."

Suddenly the computer screen only showed 1s and 0s before a cloud of them came flying out of the computer.

They then formed Technus, who smiled maniacally as he said, "Or it can provide me the key to finally conquer this world!"

Technus then overshadowed the robot and merged with it as it transformed and became black and green. The face of the robot also changed as Technus' face replaced it while he laughed maniacally and clinched his fists.

All the GIW agents in the room aimed weapons at Technus while O yelled, "Freeze mad doctor!"

Technus smiled evilly at them as eh held out his fists and said, "Foolish humans! Feel my sting!"

He then fired green rays from his fists and blasted all the agents to the floor and they groaned in pain as they looked up at Technus.

Technus stared up as he ranted, "I Technus, will rule at last!"

He then pointed his fists up and fired another ray that blast a hole in the ceiling and then he flew out, laughing evilly.

The Guys in White stared at the hole when K looked at O and said, "For the record, I blame you."

Opening theme

The title card showed an image of Sam, Tucker, and Valerie looking up in fear as Technus towered over them with an evil expression. He had his new robot body and behind him was a giant TV screen that showed a picture of Danny's face with a red circle and line through it. It was a bright and sunny morning in Amity Park as Tucker, Sam, and Valerie stood outside Fenton Works while the Fenton family was loading the RV. Jack and Maddie were putting things in the back while Jazz stood next to the RV and watched them pack.

Jack pointed at everything in the RV as he said, "Okay. Sleeping bags, tents, food, toilet paper, and ghost hunting equipment."

Jazz showed a mildly annoyed expression as she said, "Do we really need ghost hunting equipment when while we're on vacation?"

Maddie turned and smiled cheerfully at Jazz as she replied, "We have to be prepared for anything Jazz. Don't worry though. We probably won't see any ghosts on this camping trip except for your brother and sister."

Jack looked at the house as he his right hand next to his mouth and said, "Speaking of which. Danny! Danielle! Let's get moving!"

Danny and Danielle came out the front door as Danielle eagerly said, "We're coming!"

Danielle went up to Jazz, who smiled down at her as she happily said, "I'm really glad you two agreed to this. We could use a little normalcy for once."

Danielle smiled at her older sister as she happily said, "No problem. Besides, I've always wanted to go camping."

Maddie smiled happily as she leaned out of the RV and said, "Oh trust me Danielle, you're in for a fun weekend."

Danny walked over to Tucker, Sam, and Valerie as Tucker said, "I can't believe you're really going camping with your family."

Jack counted everything they packed and smiled as he said, "Okay I think we've got everything."

Danny smiled teasingly at Jazz as he asked, "Jazz, did you pack Bearbert Einstein?"

Jazz put her hands on her hips as she looked at Danny with an annoyed expression and said, "Danny, I'm not a little kid!"

Danny and Danielle both smiled at her and Jazz surrendered as she held Bearbert and sheepishly said, "But yes."

Danielle happily took Bearbert out of Jazz's hand as she said, "Nice!"

Danny smiled as he held his palm up and said, "My parents and Jazz think it will be a good way for us all to bond together as a family, and I could use a little time away from home."

Jack, having overheard them, smiled as he leaned out of the RV's window and happily said, "Yeah, and while we're camping, I can blather on about ghosts."

Danny looked mildly annoyed expression as he said, "Yep, a great way to bond with my family."

They looked at Danielle as she smiled at them while climbing in the RV and said, "Come on Danny! Let's go!"

Danny looked back at Tucker, Sam, and Valerie as he solemnly said, "I'll only be gone a couple of days, but in the meantime I'm counting on you guys to keep Amity Park safe from any ghost attacks."

Valerie smiled proudly as she said, "Don't worry Danny. Tucker and I have everything under control."

Sam looked at Valerie with a vexed expression as she said, "Uh excuse me, I'm here too!"

Valerie looked at Sam a bit condescendingly as she said, "Yeah but you don't really have any real skills or weapons to fight ghosts, so it will really just be me and Tucker protecting the city."

Sam looked offended as she said, "What?!"

Danny put his hand on Sam's shoulder to calm her down as he said, "Sam, please don't fight with her."

Jack honked the horn of the RV and Danny smiled at his friends as he said, "Gotta go. Bye guys."

He gave Sam a kiss and then got in the RV with the others and then they drove away, while Skulker stood on a rooftop and watched them.

He cocked an eyebrow and then smiled evilly while pounding his fist as he said, "Hmm, a camping trip. I love the wilderness."

He then activated his wings and flew after the RV while Sam, Tucker, and Valerie watched them drive away.

Tucker looked at his watch and started walking while he said, "Well, I'd better get to City Hall. I've got Mayor stuff to do."

Valerie smiled proudly as she said, "And I'm going on patrol."

Her suit materialized over her body and then she jumped in the air as her hoverboard formed under her, and she waved at Sam before flying away.

Sam watched her fly away and then walked away as she angrily said to herself, "No skills or weapons? I can fight ghosts! I do it all the time!"

Meanwhile Jack was driving the RV on the interstate as he happily said, "Goodbye Amity Park and hello roughing it in the woods and family bonding for two whole days!"

Danielle was sitting in the back between Danny and Jazz as she happily said, "This is great! I love riding in the RV!"

Jazz smiled but then showed a bit of urgency as she looked down at Danielle and said, "Nice, just don't press any buttons."

Danny agreed as he looked down at Danielle and said, "Yeah and find a way to entertain yourself. This is gonna be a long ride."

Danielle smiled as she started playing a handheld videogame and said, "No problem."

Danny and Jazz watched Danielle play her game while Jack and Maddie smiled with their eyes on the road. Back in Amity Park, Tucker was sitting in his office at City Hall, Valerie was flying over buildings patrolling for ghosts, and Sam was riding on her scooter through the streets. At one point she looked up and saw Valerie flying overhead on her hoverboard and Sam glared at her for a moment before looking ahead. Valerie kept flying when suddenly her suit made a loud beeping sound as it detected a ghost somewhere nearby.

Valerie put her hand on the side of her helmet and used a communicator in it as she said, "Tucker, it's Valerie. I've got a reading on a ghost somewhere."

In his office, Tucker was speaking into a headset as he said, "Check it out Valerie. I'll tell Sam."

Valerie narrowed her eyes with a serious expression as she looked at the monitor in her right wrist and flew to the source of the reading. She hovered in the air and looked around for any sign of ghost activity, but she saw nothing as she put her hands on her wrists.

She glanced around as she said, "My tracker brought me here, but I don't see any ghosts anywhere."

Suddenly an explosion occurred and Technus blasted a hole in a roof and flew out as he hovered in front of Valerie.

He leered at her with an evil expression as he said, "Well if it isn't the angry ghost hunter. Looking for a challenge?"

He fired a green ray at her from his fist but she dodged it and smiled confidently as she said, "Yeah. I could use a workout."

She then activated a cannon in her right wrist and fired a purple ray at Technus, but he blocked it with a shield and flew at her. Meanwhile, Sam drove up on her scooter and stopped as she looked up and watched Technus and Valerie fight.

She stared in distress as she urgently said, "Technus!"

Valerie threw three buzzsaw-like discs at Technus but he only hovered in place as they bounced off his body, not even scratching his armor.

Valerie was shocked while Technus gloated and said, "Foolish girl! My new body makes your suit obsolete!"

Valerie was insulted as she clinched her fists and gritted her teeth as she angrily exclaimed, "Do these look obsolete to you?!"

She immediately made two blasters come out of her pack as she fired them at Technus, but he was not deterred. He blocked the blasts with a green force-field and smiled evilly as two large ray guns came out of his shoulders and aimed at Valerie. He fired two green rays at her and made her cry in pain as they blasted her back through the air, but she recovered and hovered in the air. She glared daggers at him as she flew at him at highspeed and tried to ram him with her hoverboard, but he stopped her in midair as he grabbed the tips of the board. He then spun around threw the air and threw Valerie away, but she regained control and hovered in the air as she turned back to him. Technus then held his arms out and two large missile launchers came out of his forearms, and he launched six missiles at her. Valerie flew away as the missiles followed her, but she managed to evade them as they blew up near her, one by one. When the last missile exploded, Valerie flew back to Technus and three cubes materialized beside her and fired purple rays at Technus.

He dodged them and flew at Valerie and exclaimed, "Arrogant child! My new armor packs a great punch!"

He pulled his right arm back, then he ignited a rocket thruster in his elbow and punched Valerie very hard. She went crashing to the ground near Sam, who ran to check on her as she groaned in pain as she got on her knees.

Sam looked down at Valerie as she sarcastically said, "Nice ghost hunting, Valerie."

Valerie glared up at Sam with an annoyed expression, then they both looked up to see Technus looking down at them.

He smiled evilly at Sam as he said, "The little goth girl. Where is your ghost boyfriend?"

Sam glared at him as she defiantly said, "Danny and his family are out of town! Tucker and us are protecting Amity Park!"

While she was talking Valerie looked at her and waved her hands frantically, trying to get Sam to stop talking, but it was too late. Valerie sighed in exasperation while Technus laughed mockingly, and Sam looked a bit nervous as she realized her mistake.

Technus then clinched his fists as he flew high into the air and arrogantly gloated, "Perfect! With my new robot form and that meddlesome ghost boy out of the way, nothing will stop me from finally ruling the world!"

He then used thrusters in his feet and flew away, when he was gone Valerie urged herself back on her feet.

She looked at Sam and sarcastically said, "Nice going Sam."

Sam glared at Valerie with an annoyed expression and then they both looked back into the sky where Technus had fled. Meanwhile the Fentons had arrived at their destination as they parked the RV at the campgrounds of a forest.

Maddie smiled back at the kids as she said, "Okay everyone, we're here."

Danny and Jazz looked at Danielle, who had fallen asleep on the ride, and Jack and Maddie both got out of the RV.

Danny nudged her and said, "Danielle, wake up."

She woke up and yawned as she stretched her arms and spoke in a daze as she asked, "Are we there yet?"

Jazz nodded as she said, "Yep. We're here."

Danielle's eyes shot open as she looked outside and excitedly exclaimed, "Yes!"

She then phased out of the RV and ran outside as she looked at the forest and stared at it in wonder and joy.

Danny and Jazz got out of the RV and joined Danielle as they came to her, she turned to them and happily said, "This is gonna be great!"

The three of them looked at their parents as Jack happily said, "That's the spirit Danielle. Now you kids help your mom and me unload the RV."

Danielle and Jazz smiled as they walked to them and simultaneously said, "Yes dad."

Danny looked around with a smile as he took in a deep breath and said, "Fresh air, peace and quiet, my family, and no ghosts to ruin it."

Unbeknownst to him, Skulker was standing a tree with an evil smile as he said, "The hunter stalks his prey and waits for the moment to strike."

Back in Amity Park

Valerie and Sam were in Tucker's office when he said, "So Technus is in town?"

Sam nodded as she urgently said, "Yeah, and he's got a new body that's way more powerful and dangerous."

Valerie pointed her thumb at herself with a serious expression as she said, "I can take him!"

Sam glared at Valerie as she sarcastically said, "Right because you kicked his butt the first time."

Valerie looked annoyed as she stubbornly said, "He just got lucky! Next time I'll dismantle him and crash his system!"

Tucker glanced at both of them as he calmly interjected, "First we have to find Technus. I'll put out a bulletin telling everyone in town to keep an eye out for him."

Suddenly the doors opened as K and O entered the office and K said, "That won't be necessary Mayor Foley."

The three teens were surprised as Valerie said, "The Guys in White?"

O and K walked toward Tucker's desk while Sam and Valerie stepped aside and watched them with wary expressions.

They looked down at Tucker with serious expressions as O said, "We're aware of the ghost Technus' presence in Amity Park and we're prepared to neutralize him ourselves."

K spoke up and added, "We've developed countermeasures that should allow us to find and defeat him. So there's no need to let the public know about this yet. We'll take care of everything."

Tucker kept looking up at them as he reluctantly said, "Uh… Okay."

Sam walked up to them and pointed her right finger as she suspiciously asked, "Hold on, how do you know about Technus."

They both looked at her O replied, "One of our surveillance drones recorded footage of Gray here fighting him earlier."

K spoke up as he added, "We also analyzed his new robot body and we have a good idea of what we're up against."

Tucker put his hands on his desk as he said, "Alright, I'll let you guys handle this. Let me know if you have any luck."

They both looked down at him with respect as O said, "Will do. Thank you for your cooperation, mister mayor."

They turned around and walked out, glancing at Sam and Valerie with glares before leaving the office as the doors closed behind them.

Sam turned and looked at Tucker over her shoulder as she warily asked, "Tucker, are you sure that was a good idea?"

Valerie looked at Sam as she curiously said, "What do you mean? I know you all have issues with the Guys in White but they want to help beat Technus. Isn't that good?"

Sam showed a suspicious expression as she said, "I don't trust them. They seem a little too eager to help us. Like they're trying to cover something up."

Valerie looked at Sam as she curiously asked, "You think they're hiding something?"

Sam looked back at Valerie as she suspiciously said, "It wouldn't be the first time they tried to keep something from us, and it wouldn't be the first time one of their secret projects got Amity Park in danger."

Valerie thought for a second and calmly reasoned, "True, but we don't know for sure that they have anything to do with Technus."

Sam stared at the door again with her eyes narrowed as she suspiciously said, "They definitely know more than they're saying."

Tucker stood up and pointed at the girls while he urgently said, "Either way, we have to stop Technus before he causes any trouble. I'll keep my eye on the Guys in White. You two go out and see if you can find him."

Sam and Valerie glared at each other for a moment before looking at Tucker as they simultaneously said, "Got it."

Meanwhile, Danny and his family had already set up their campsite as Danny laid on the ground, relaxing with his head against a log. They had set up camp far away from the parking lot and the RV, in a small clearing surrounded by trees. There was a cliff nearby that had a lovey view of the rest of the forest as well as a mountain in the far distance. They had two small tents that were shaped like Fenton Works, they had firewood gathered and were ready to light it.

Jack put his fists on his sides as he smiled down at the firewood and said, "There. All done. The Fenton tents are made and the firewood's ready. Tonight when the sun goes down we're gonna have a great campfire for roasting marshmallows."

Maddie smiled at Jack and handed him a piece of jerky as she said, "Great job honey. Here, have some Fenton Jerky."

He smiled as he took the jerky and said, "Thanks baby."

He took a bite out of the jerky and smiled while Maddie glanced around and curiously said, "Jack, where are the girls."

Jack swallowed his mouthful of jerky and shrugged as he said, "Beats me."

Maddie walked to Danny and looked down at him as she curiously asked, "Danny, have you seen your sisters anywhere?"

Danny opened his eyes and pointed his left finger, prompting Maddie to look up and see Danielle flying over trees in her ghost form while carrying Jazz. She held Jazz's upper arms as they flew through the air with big smiles on their faces as their hair blew in the wind.

Danielle smiled as she looked down at the rest of her family below as she happily shouted, "Hi mom. Hi dad."

Jack looked up and saw them flying as he smiled proudly and said, "Haha! Those are my girls!"

Jazz had her hands out to her sides with her eyes shut as she happily exclaimed, "This is amazing! I feel so free!"

Danielle smiled in agreement as she happily said, "I know! I love flying!"

Jazz opened her eyes with a big smile as she looked at the forest from a bird's eye view, then she looked up and smiled lovingly at Danielle.

Danielle looked down at her with a similar smile as she said, "Too bad you don't have ghost powers too huh?"

Jazz remembered her time having ghost powers as she looked forward and smiled warmly as she said, "Actually, I think I like this better."

They kept flying around in the sky as Maddie watched with a warm smile and said, "Aww, that's precious."

She walked away and Danny shut his eyes as he relaxed and said, "This is the life. Nothing could ruin this."

He opened his eyes and gasped as his ghost sense went off, then he tediously said, "Should've known better than to say that."

He stood up and narrowed his eyes as he looked around and then spotted Skulker flying toward Danielle and Jazz. Danny gaped in shock and horror as he realized that Skulker was about to attack Danielle and send her and Jazz crashing down.

Commercial break

Danny watched Skulker fly after Danielle, then he turned around to make sure his parents weren't watching, then he transformed to his ghost form and flew off. Skulker aimed a weapon in his wrist at Danielle, but Danny flew at him and tacked him as they both fell into the forest without Danielle or Jazz noticing. Danny held Skulker as they both slid on the ground, Skulker's left hand transformed into a mace, which he swung at Danny's face. He knocked Danny off and sent him sliding into a tree trunk before Skulker came and stood over him.

Danny glared at Skulker as he said, "What are you doing here Skulker?"

Skulker smiled evilly as he said, "I'm here for my ultimate prize, you. And your little sister will also make a nice trophy on my wall."

Danny defiantly stood up and said, "I don't think so!"

He punched Skulker in the face, kicked him in the chest, then threw a ball of ecto-energy at him and blasted him back.

He knocked Skulker flat on his back, then grabbed him as he fiercely said, "My family and I are on vacation! I'm not gonna let you ruin it!"

He then flew in the air as he held Skulker and then whirled him around in the air before throwing him far away as he screamed. He then turned and flew back to the campsite and turned human as he joined his family when Danielle flew down with Jazz and set her down before turning human as well.

Maddie went up to Danny and curiously asked, "Danny, where did you go?"

Danny thought for a moment and smiled while pointing his thumb behind him as he said, "I… had to use the bathroom."

Jack came to them and smiled as he said, "Danny, we're in the wild. The whole world is your bathroom."

Danielle cringed in disgust as she said, "Gross!"

Jazz also showed disgust as she said, "Good thing we brought plenty of toilet paper."

Maddie smiled as she pointed her thumb behind her and said, "Well, now that you've finished your business, why don't you kids join your father and I a little hike through the woods."

Danielle smiled as she said, "Sure."

She and Jazz followed Maddie while Danny smiled and said, "Sounds good. Be right there."

He turned around and glared suspiciously to make sure Skulker wasn't back already, then he hurried to join his family.

Back in Amity Park

Sam and Valerie were outside City Hall as they stared forward; Valerie had her suit on as she was prepared to search for Technus.

Sam looked at Valerie as she seriously said, "Okay, so let's split up and search the town for Technus."

Valerie looked at Sam as she arrogantly said, "You'd better let me handle this Sam. I can cover more ground with my hoverboard."

Sam glared at Valerie as she said, "Yeah, but we can both cover even more ground if we split up."

Valerie folded her arms as she shrewdly said, "And what are you gonna do if you find him? Do you have any of the Fentons' ghost hunting equipment."

Sam glared at Valerie as she held up the Fenton Thermos and replied, "Danny gave me the Fenton Thermos before he left."

Valerie pointed at it, still shrewd as she said, "That's a start but getting him in there won't be easy. I'll find Technus and call you when I beat him, then you can catch him with the Thermos."

She jumped in the air and her hoverboard materialized beneath her before she flew away into the sky.

Sam angrily got on her scooter and put on her helmet as she said, "How about I find Technus and call you when I beat him?!"

She drove away on her electric scooter; later that night, Jack and Maddie were sitting by their campfire while Danny stood about twenty feet away, in the trees. He had his eyes narrowed as he searched for any sign of Skulker as he glanced around and looked through the trees.

Jazz and Danielle came to Danny from behind with concern as Danielle asked, "Danny, are you okay?"

Danny turned to his two sisters as he smiled and said, "What? I'm fine. Why do you ask?"

Jazz pointed at Danny as she said, "You seem a little on edge. You're not worried about Tucker, Sam, and Valerie, are you?"

Danny smiled awkwardly as he glanced around and said, "No! Of course not!"

Danielle held her palms up as she urged, "Danny, we're on vacation. You need to relax."

Jazz agreed as she smiled and said, "Yeah. I'm sure Amity Park is safe and sound."

Danny smiled reassuringly as he shrugged and said, "Girls, I'm fine."

They weren't convinced yet, but Maddie came to them and said, "Kids, come join me and your father. We've got a nice campfire going."

Jack held up some chocolate and marshmallows as he happily said, "Who wants smores?"

Danielle immediately raised her left hand as she excitedly yelled, "I do!"

She ran over to the campfire while Maddie followed her, then Jazz motioned for Danny to come as she said, "Come on Danny. This should be a nice way to take your mind off things."

Danny smiled politely as he said, "Okay."

He glanced around cautiously before following Jazz toward the campfire; then Skulker phased out of the ground and floated in the air, invisible as he smiled evilly. Meanwhile in Amity Park, Valerie was flying over buildings as she searched for Technus while Sam searched on the ground using her scooter.

As Sam drove she said to herself, "It's getting late. Maybe we should call it quits and…"

She stopped when she saw Technus flying in the air as he laughed maniacally, then Sam called Tucker and said, "Tucker, I found Technus, he's at the appliance store north of the park!"

Tucker contacted Valerie and said, "Valerie, Sam just found Technus!"

Valerie turned around through the air and flew in the direction as she said, "I'm on it!"

Technus was using his powers to make technology fly around him as he maniacally said, "Look at this antiquated technology! It is nothing compared to my superior form!"

Sam drove her scooter behind Technus and smiled as she pulled out the Fenton Thermos and said, "Then it's time someone pulled the plug!"

She tried to suck Technus into the Fenton Thermos, but he heard her and floated out of the way, causing the bluish white ray to miss.

Sam became afraid as Technus smiled evilly at her and said, "Nice try girl!"

He fired a green ray from his fist at her, but missed when Valerie flew by and rescued Sam as she put her on her hoverboard and flew off.

Sam looked at Valerie as she angrily said, "What are you doing?"

Valerie glared at Sam with an annoyed expression and said, "Saving you! I told you to let me handle this!"

She flew on her hoverboard with Sam standing in front of her as she flew at Technus while he fired another green ray at them. A blue force-field projected around Sam and Valerie, blocking the ray as Valerie hovered in the air and glared at him. She activated her left wrist cannon and blasted a purple ray at Technus but he deflected it with his right backhand. Technus then opened a circular hole in his chest and fired a green ray at them repeatedly while Valerie flew around and narrowly avoided each shot.

As they flew Sam complained, "Can't this thing go any faster?!"

Valerie narrowed her eyes as she angrily replied, "I'm not used to flying with passengers!"

Technus then managed to hit Valerie's hoverboard, causing her to lose control as she and Sam went plummeting down toward the ground. Sam screamed before Valerie regained control and hovered above the ground before they could hit the ground.

They both looked up at Technus as he gloated, "Foolish girls! Without the ghost boy you are no match for me!"

He prepared to fire at them again but he was blasted by a blue ray and then K and O flew in front of Sam and Valerie. They were wearing their intangible suits and were armed with weapons as they stared at Technus with determined expressions.

Technus smiled evilly as he taunted, "Ah, the federal amateur ghost hunters."

They fired blue rays at him but he formed a green force-field that blocked them and then he flew away laughing.

K looked back at Sam and Valerie condescendingly as he said, "We'll handle the ghost, you kids get home before your parents worry about you."

They both flew after Technus while Sam and Valerie stared forward glaring, angry at both each other for failing to stop Technus and angry about what K just said to them. Meanwhile, in the forest, Danny and his family were getting ready for bed as Jack and Maddie got in their tent while Danny got in his sleeping bag outside.

Maddie poked her head outside the tent as she said, "Goodnight kids."

Danny looked at her as he said, "Night mom."

She went inside her tent to sleep, shortly after Jazz got out of her tent and walked up to Danny in his sleeping bag.

She looked down at him while pointing her right thumb at her tent as she said, "Are you sure you're okay out here Danny? Danielle and I have room for one more in our tent."

Danny smiled at her politely as he said, "I'm fine Jazz. I'm comfortable out here sleeping under the stars."

Jazz shrugged and walked back to her tent while she said, "Suit yourself. Don't say I didn't offer."

She went back into her tent and lied down in her sleeping bag next to Danielle while holding Bearbert Einstein close. Danny stayed in his sleeping bag with his eyes wide open as he kept a lookout for Skulker while tossing and turning. He then spotted Skulker flying straight down toward him with his wings out as he smiled evilly, then Danny changed to his ghost form and flew at him with a ghostly tail.

Danny flew at Skulker and put his hands together to fire a ghost ray while he yelled, "Can't you wait until morning! Some people are trying to sleep!"

His ghost ray hit Skulker and knocked him back through the air before he recovered and hovered in the air.

He smiled evilly as he said, "The hunter never sleeps!"

He then made two missile launchers come out of his shoulders and launched six missiles at Danny, but Danny flew up and avoided them as they all exploded. He flew straight at Skulker and tried to punch him but Skulker dodged his fist and then kicked Danny away. Danny floated in the air in front of him and watched Skulker come at him with two long blades sticking out of his left wrist. He slashed the blades at Danny, but Danny ducked and avoided them before slamming both his fists into Skulker's chest and knocking him back through the air. Skulker recovered as he hovered in the air and glared at Danny before trying to punch him, only for Danny to dodge him again. He floated in front of Skulker as he made two duplicates of himself and together they all flew at Skulker and they all punched him at the same time. They sent Skulker flying through the air as he screamed and crashed down at the bottom of the cliff, landing flat on his back. He opened his eyes and looked up to see a bear standing over him, growling as it looked down at Skulker.

Skulker looked annoyed as he said, "This is not what I had in mind."

The bear slashed its claws at Skulker while Danny watched and smiled as he said, "Well, that should keep him busy for a while. Now I can get some shuteye."

He flew back to the campsite and got in his sleeping bag before changing back to his human forma and going to sleep. Jack and Maddie curiously peaked out the tent as they heard something, but saw nothing suspicious, so they shrugged it off and went back to sleep.

The next day in Amity Park

Tucker, Sam, and Valerie assembled at Sam's house; her parents were out and her grandma was in another room. She and Valerie were arguing about what happened last night while Tucker sat down and watched them while the TV was on behind them.

Valerie glared at Sam while pointing her finger as she angrily said, "I could've beaten Technus if I didn't have to save you!"

Sam stared Valerie in the face as she angrily replied, "Well maybe if you let me off your hoverboard you could've fought him so I could've sucked him into the Thermos."

Valerie kept glaring as she said, "You probably would've gotten yourself in more danger."

Sam glared at Valerie as she sarcastically said, "Right, because I don't have a fancy suit to protect me."

Tucker stood up and stopped them as he put his hands out and said, "Stop! Val, we need Sam's help if we're gonna stop Technus. Danny's counting on us all to protect Amity Park while he's away. Sam can help us. I've seen her in action and she's great, we could definitely use her."

Sam smiled proudly while Valerie curiously said, "But how can she fight Technus without any weapons?"

Tucker held his hand out to Valerie as he said, "Just let her use some of yours. You've got a whole arsenal of them."

Valerie's eyes widened in surprise as she looked at Sam, then she surrendered and said, "Fine, but how do we find Technus."

Sam looked at the TV and grabbed the remote as she said, "Whoa! Check this out!"

She turned up the volume and noticed the TV was showing a live report of the Guys in White riding hovercrafts as they fought Technus. The screen showed Technus from behind and so Sam paused the video and used the remote to zoom in on a spot on Technus' back with the letters GIW on it.

She smiled at Tucker and Valerie as she said, "You see what I see?"

Valerie narrowed her eyes as she seriously said, "Let's pay the Guys in White a visit!"

Meanwhile, the Fentons were enjoying their camping trip, unaware that Danny was fighting Skulker in the air nearby. Jack was sitting on a log with Jazz, blathering on about ghosts while Jack listened with an annoyed expression. While they did this, Maddie was teaching Danielle a bit about nature as they came to some berry bushes.

She pointed at one before leading Danielle to another while she said, "Now remember Danielle, the red berries are poisonous, but the purple berries are safe to eat."

Danielle took a purple berry from the bush and ate it, smiling as she said, "Mmmm! That's good."

Above them Danny punched Skulker and sent him flying away before flying down to join his family again. Later, Jack was showing Jazz and Danielle how to chop wood while Danny flew high over them and threw a blast of ecto-energy at Skulker, blasting him away. Later that night Jazz, Danielle, Jack, and Maddie were sitting together on the cliff as they all looked up at the sky.

Danielle held her stomach with a sick expression as she said, "I don't feel so good."

Maddie shook her head as she said, "I told you to go easy on the smores."

Danielle leaned back against Jazz, who held her for comfort as she smiled and said, "Still, it is nice seeing all these stars."

Jazz smiled fondly as she agreed, "Yeah."

Danny walked behind them in his human form and glanced up to see Skulker in the air, Danny fired a ghost ray from his fingertip and blasted Skulker away.

Danny sat down between his sisters and his parents as Danielle happily said, "You should've brought your telescope Danny."

Danny smiled as he agreed, "Yeah, that would've been nice."

Meanwhile at the GIW's headquarters, O and K were talking about what to do about Technus when O said, "We've got catch this ghost and salvage the White King before Phantom's friends destroy it!"

Suddenly Tucker, Sam, and Valerie walked in as they approached the Guys in White when K said, "Mayor Foley, what brings you here?"

Tucker got right to the point as he said, "We're here to ask about your involvement in Technus' attacks."

They both looked nervous as O asked, "What? Whatever do you mean?"

Suddenly a hole was blasted through the wall as Technus entered and said, "I Technus have returned again! You fools gave me my new body and now you will help give me an even better one!"

He then used his powers to make weapons, computers, and vehicles in their headquarters float and then flew out with all of them, laughing evilly.

After he left K complained, "I never thought I'd say this but I wish Phantom was here."

Tucker, Sam, and Valerie glared at them, prompting O to confess, "Fine! We built a new version of the White Knight, then Technus took it over and used it to attack. Happy now?"

Valerie showed a serious expression as she said, "Can you tell us anything that'll help us beat him?"

K then said, "His operating system is running on a new version of Portal XL. All of our systems run on it."

Tucker smiled deviously as he said, "Really? Hmmm… I think I've got an idea."

The next day, the Fentons were beginning to clean up their campsite while Jack said, "Okay everyone, clean up. It's time to load up the RV and head home."

Danny smiled nervously as he said, "Yeah, home sounds good."

Maddie smiled happily as she said, "This was a lovely weekend. All of us together, bonding, with no ghosts to ruin it."

Suddenly Danny and Danielle both gasped as their ghosts senses went off and they looked up to see missiles coming at them.

Danny transformed to his ghost form and moved everyone as he yelled, "Look out!"

The missiles blew up and they saw Skulker flying in the air as he aimed missile launchers at them, prompting Danny to fly at him.

He punched him and sent him crashing to the ground, then Danny landed in front of him and said, "It's time to end this Skulker!"

He shot a blue ice ray from his hand, but Skulker dodged it and Danny only froze the tree behind him, then Skulker flew at Danny and punched him in the face.

He knocked Danny on his back and aimed a gun in his right forearm at him as he said, "You're right! This ends now!"

Suddenly Jack came wearing the Ghost Gauntlets as he punched Skulker away and yelled, "Get away from my son tinman!"

Skulker floated in the air and glared at Jack when suddenly Danielle flew at him in her ghost form and kicked him away. Jazz came at Skulker from behind and swung the glowing green bo staff at him and knocked him into the air. Maddie came with her mask and goggles on while she held a special bazooka, which she fired at Skulker.

Skulker quickly dodged it and smiled as he gloated, "Ha! Missed!"

Maddie smiled smugly as she said, "Did I?"

She created a small ghost portal in the air behind Skulker, which sucked him as he screamed, "What?! Nooooo!"

He was sucked back into the Ghost Zone before the portal closed, Danny smiled at his family as he said, "That was awesome!"

His smile vanished as he saw all four of them glaring at him with their arms folded, Danielle floated in the air between Jazz and their parents.

Maddie sternly asked, "How long has Skulker been after you?"

Danny rubbed his head as he guiltily said, "Since we got here."

Jazz also looked stern as she said, "And you didn't tell us because…?"

Danny held his palms up as he sincerely said, "I didn't want to spoil our vacation. We came to the woods to get away from ghost hunting. I wanted to make sure nothing would ruin it for you all."

Danielle's expression softened as she said, "But Danny, we all just kicked Skulker back into the Ghost Zone. If you told us in the first place we could've beaten him and been done with it."

Maddie showed a serious expression as she said, "And besides Danny, you don't have to keep secrets anymore. We're a family, we fight together."

Danny expressed regret as he apologized, "You're right. I'm sorry."

They all softened and Jack smiled as he said, "Well the ghost is gone and that's what matters. Now let's go home."

They all smiled as they went back to the RV; meanwhile in Amity Park, Technus was rampaging in the streets with a giant mechanical body he built from the GIW's technology.

He looked down at all the people as he maniacally said, "I am Technus, master of all things scientific and technological! Bow before me!"

Valerie was in her suit with Tucker and Sam beside her as they watched Technus, and Tucker said, "Okay, everyone clear on the plan?"

Valerie looked at them as she said, "Yeah. Sam and I will keep him busy while you hack the Portal XL on your PDA."

Sam nodded with a serious expression as she said, "Right! Let's go!"

Valerie took flight on her hoverboard while Sam ran forward with a backpack and Tucker started working on his PDA.

Valerie hovered in front of Technus as she said, "Hey scrapheap! Take this!"

She fired a purple ray from her hoverboard but it didn't do any damage as Technus just smiled arrogantly and swatted her away like a fly. Sam then ran toward Technus and pulled a few black and red bombs Valerie gave her out of her backpack and threw them at Technus' legs. They did no damage and Technus looked down at her and tried to stomp on her with his right foot, but Sam jumped out of the way and rolled on the ground. Valerie flew back at Technus and made two small missile launchers come out of the sides of her hoverboard and launched six missiles at Technus. They blew up against Technus but did not do any damage as he became annoyed and tried to hit her with his arms, but she avoided them. On the ground, Sam reached into her backpack and pulled out a small handheld blaster that Valerie gave her earlier. She fired a bunch of purple blasts at Technus while Valerie kept flying around him, blasting him with her wrist cannons.

Technus grew angry as he yelled, "Insolent children!"

Meanwhile Tucker finished on his PDA and then sent an email to Valerie as he happily said, "There! Valerie, I'm sending you the link!"

Valerie's suit beeped as she looked at a screen in her right wrist and started typing buttons on the computer.

She finished and smiled as she said, "Yes! Thanks Tucker!"

She closed the computer on her wrist and then flew closer to Technus as she made a weapon rise from her right wrist. She shot a cable out that plugged into a port on Technus' body, sending a surge of electricity to him.

Technus smiled evilly as he swatted Valerie away, disconnecting the cord as he gloated, "Foolish girl you cannot defeat…"

He then started twitching and stuttering before he nervously said, "What?! What did you do to me?!"

She smiled smugly and then looked down at Sam while she said, "With a little help from my boyfriend, I just bypassed your system with Portal XL and crashed your system. Sam, now!"

Sam then pulled out the Fenton Thermos and sucked Technus out of his body as he yelled, "NOOO!"

She sucked him into the Thermos and Technus' former mechanical body fell apart in front of Sam as she smiled victoriously.

Valerie flew down and landed next to Sam while Tucker came and happily exclaimed, "Sam, Val, we did it! We beat Technus and saved Amity Park!"

Valerie smiled proudly and turned to Sam while she said, "Yeah! Nice job Sam. I gotta admit, I was wrong about you. You do make a pretty good ghost hunter."

Sam smiled back at Valerie as she said, "Thanks Valerie. You're not bad yourself."

Tucker smiled proudly as he said, "See? I knew you two would make a good team."

Later, the three of them were waiting outside Fenton Works when the RV pulled up in front of them and Danny and his family started getting out.

Danny walked to his friends as Sam happily said, "Welcome back Danny. How was your camping trip?"

Danny smiled at them as he replied, "Pretty good. Anything happen while I was away?"

Valerie smiled as she glanced at Sam and proudly said, "Nothing we couldn't handle."

Danny smiled as he looked around and said, "Looks like you guys did a good job keeping Amity Park safe."

Sam smiled as she looked at Tucker and Valerie as she said, "Yeah, thanks to Tucker and Valerie."

Valerie smiled at Sam with respect as she said, "Yeah but you were a big help too Sam."

They both smiled at each other and Danny was surprised as he looked at Tucker and said, "They're getting along? What happened?"

Tucker smiled as he answered, "Long story. Tell you later."

The rest of the Fentons joined them as Danny looked down at Danielle and said, "So Dani, what did you think of your first camping trip?"

Danielle looked up at him as she happily said, "It was fun, but I'm glad to be back."

Jazz smiled fondly as she said, "Yeah, vacations are nice but there's no place like home."

Jack smiled at them and glanced back at the others while he held a bag and said, "You said it girls. Come on everyone, I've still got a some more smores left."

Danielle happily followed Jack while she said, "Yes! Thanks dad!"

Tucker smiled as he followed them both as he raised his finger and said, "I'll have some too Mr. Fenton!"

Danny, Jazz, Maddie, Sam, and Valerie all smiled at each other before they started happily laughing together.

I thought this would be a good way to show the Guys In White causing problems again, and it would be nice to see Valerie, Sam, and Tucker protecting Amity Park without Danny. Please review.
