11. Savage Origins

The situation was bad. The N-Men were in cages. Jamey was surrounded by Savage and his goons. And Savage had decided to tell them all his life story.

"It all started 50,000 years ago. Back then nobody had a name. We didn't need them. All we needed to know was one thing. Survive. We were a simple hunter gatherer tribe. My job was to collect various fruits and vegetables while the stronger males went to hunt for the meat. It was a simple life but a good one. All that changed the day I made a mistake. After a long day of foraging for fruit, I was hungry. It was an unspoken rule that the tribal leaders had to eat first but at that moment I didn't really care. Turns out I should've. When they found me eating the food before they did they went berserk. They attacked me and effectively banished me to the frozen tundra that was our world. I had a couple of hours before I froze to death and a day at most before I died of hunger. It was the end of me. That was until something amazing happened to me. I looked up at the sky and saw a glowing ball coming towards me. It was only an instant but I saw a ball of fire crash into the ground. Every other creature ran from the crator but not me. I could feel the heat coming from it. It was so cold. I had to get closer. I traveled to the crash site. I looked into the crator and saw a glowing rock inside. Eventually I ended up laying next to it not knowing how the radiation from the rock was changing me. In that moment I became earth's first mutant. The next morning I felt different. To this day I couldn't tell you how but I felt different, stronger, smarter. I went back to my tribe's village. Our Alpha was less than pleased to see me. He attacked and we fought. Surprisingly enough I won. I beat him down and banished him, becoming the tribe's new Alpha. I ruled over my people for decades. I didn't know at the time but I began to notice as they grew older I stayed the same. But I didn't really care. It hadn't dawned on me yet how different I was. After decades of rule, tragedy struck my people, a disease or virus struck them, wiping them out one by one. I was immune probably because of my mutation. Eventually I was alone and remained alone for a while. I continued to survive without my tribe. I honestly don't know how long I was alone. It's all one big blur to me. Eventually I found myself in a new world. Something I didn't know was while I was wandering aimlessly the rest of the world had evolved. I found myself in what you all would call the lost city of Atlantis."

Everyone looked at Savage astonished. "It was the most beautiful place I had ever seen. The people there looked like something out of a dream. It didn't take long for me to stick out like a sore thumb. I was captured and brought to the king. He made me become one of his gladiators. The people called me Savage and that is how I got my name. I was undefeated in the ring which is why I was given many as you would say perks. But overtime I grew dreary of the constant battles and if luck would have it. I wasn't going to fight for long. Decades passed and the people began to notice I wasn't aging. They came to see me as a demi god sent by Neptune himself to protect them. Eventually they overthrew their King and I sat on the throne where I belonged and enjoyed decades more of peace. That was until I met him. One day an old man came to the kingdom. He demanded that I give him one of the gemstones on my crown, I refused. That was the biggest mistake of my life. The old man was a powerful sorcerer named Vexus. He unleashed a terrible power on my Kingdom."

"He was a mutant." Jamey commented. "No Jamey. He wasn't. Like I said before he was a sorcerer. He wielded magic." Jamey shook her head not believing him. "There's no such thing as magic." Jamey declared. "Trust me when I say this Jamey. As a man who has lived longer than anyone on this planet there are things that can't be explained. Now where was I, oh yeah. Vexus used his terrible power to completely and utterly destroy Atlantis, leaving the once great paradise sinking it into the ocean. I was the only survivor. Vexus was intrigued by me. He allowed me to live under the condition that I became his servant. It is with him I learned about the Reality Stones." This caught the attention of Jamey. "Reality Stones?" She repeated. "Cosmic Artifacts that are tied to the very fabric of reality. The gem in the crown was the Elemental Stone. A stone that gives one complete command over the elements. It was what the "gods" Neptune and Poseidon used to create Atlantis. I spent many centuries as Vexus's slave. Slowly but surely collecting the stones. He managed to obtain the energy and form stones, two stones that allowed the user access to unlimited power and the ability to change anything into anything else respectfully. I thought I was going to be a slave forever. Just as Vexus was on the pressabyss of obtaining the most powerful stone, the fantasy stone. A stone that could turn reality into fantasy and fantasy into reality. He was confronted by a consortium of sorcerers; Orian, Chaor, Zandar, Mera, and Ellion who dedicated themselves to stop Vexus. To tell you the truth I didn't really get to see the ultimate battle between those Sorcerers because well… These were godly beings having a death match. I had to hide. When the battle ended the consortium were the victors. Vexus was dead. The sorcerers threw his mystical amulet into the ocean and sent the stones he had collected away. They let me live because to them I was nothing more than a pawn. I watched these gods battle and I was helpless. It was then I decided to dedicate my life to finding the stones so I could be a god. I formulated my first plan. I met a woman and had a child with her. We called him Timothy, my first born. I took Timothy away from her and placed him at the door of the sorcerer's home. They took him in and raised him as their own. Teaching him magic. After seventeen years of waiting I finally made my move. I found Timothy and told him his origin and what his destiny was and he believed me. Under my orders Timothy convinced the sorcerers that they need to collect the reality stones themselves and destroy them, to my surprise they agreed. The sorcerers created a stone tablet capable of tracking down the stones. In a matter of weeks all five Reality Stones were in their possession. The night they collected all the stones, Timothy managed to steal the stones from them and made his way towards me. Unfortunately the Sorcerers noticed and followed him. Timothy fought them in my name. Unable to hurt what they viewed as their child, the sorcerers let him wound them. With them out of the way Timothy gave me the Reality Stones. Using the pendant Vexus used to hold the stones I felt myself become a god. It was then that I unintentionally revealed to Timothy my true goals. He tried to stop me but with the power I wielded I easily defeated him. In a last ditch effort the sorcerers used all of their power to destroy the pendant, releasing the stones and scattering them across the planet again."

"What happened to your son?" Jamey asked. "I honestly don't know nor do I care. He didn't have the vision my other children seem to have. After the consortium screwed me over I started looking for the stones myself but unfortunately I couldn't find any of them. I traveled around the globe hundreds of times to find nothing. It was then I decided on my next plan. To let time do the work for me. Every century technology advanced so I figured I would wait for the time when that would happen. But I had to keep myself hidden in secret. At first it wasn't that hard then things changed. The world had advanced much quicker than I expected. I had to distract the world from finding out about myself." Jamey was scared of the answer but she had to ask. "How did you do that?" Savage smiled at the girl genius. "Simple. Ever heard of a thing called World War 1." Everyone looked at Savage shocked. "You mad man! You killed millions of people to keep yourself hidden." Sheen shouted. "Not just that war. But every recognizable one in the last century. World War 2, The Cold War, Vietnam, Korea. I caused those conflicts to keep the world looking away." Jamey was shaking in anger now. "You make me sick Savage." Jamey said in disgust. "They were all necessary evils. While the world was dealing with its next tragedy I was gathering elite operatives. Placing them in key locations. Making sure I was on the cutting edge of all new sciences. Then a miracle struck. A meteorite just like the one that changed me mutated Captain Nathanel Saunders. It was then I learned my true origins. My vastly intelligent daughter Martha deduced that the reality stones were cosmic objects. So I came up with a plan that was going to use the vast cosmic power of the Van Pattern belt to track the stones down."

"You used the Neutron Chamber's rush of energy to pinpoint the stones." Jamey commented. "Can you explain to someone who doesn't speak science?" Shawn commented. "He was using the energy pulse like how an animal uses echolocation. The cosmic energy pulse would've in a sense of the word hit one of these reality stones. The stones would have reacted and Savage would've had their location." Jamey explained. "Clever as always, Jamey. But it didn't work the way I wanted it to." Jamey spat out at Savage. "Of course it wouldn't have worked. The more the energy field expanded the less energy it was dispersing, plus everyone with active mutant genes were absorbing energy from the pulse. By the time it would hit one of these so-called stones you would only have a rough idea." Savage then turned back to Jamey. "And that's why I want you here Jamey. I want you to do two things for me."

"What?" Jamey asked. "Using the data I've gathered I want you to build a device capable of tracking the stones." Jamey was starting to feel uncomfortable around Savage. "And the second thing?" Savage now was walking towards Jamey who was taking a step back but Savage reached her before she could get away and grabbed her arm, yanking her towards him. Savage brought his face uncomfortably close to her's. "I want you to transfer the N-Men's powers to me." Everyone was looking at the two, all becoming increasingly worried for Jamey. "You're insane if you think I'm going to do that!" Jamey declared trying to get out of his hold. Savage then grabbed her jaw and started to stroke her lips with his thumb. Now Jamey was becoming increasingly scared. His fingers started to dig into her neck leaving good sized bruises. Jamey's heart was now racing as she tried to get out of Savage's grasp, but what she did not expect was for him to pull her closer and kiss her on the mouth forcefully. It was not long but left everyone including all of his children at a loss for words and Jamey felt like she was going to hurl. "I told you I did hope we would become more remember?And Truth be told. Your compliance isn't a factor." Savage replied, snapping his fingers with the hand that was not now clawing into her skin leaving marks. Hypno walked up to them. "But first I wanted to introduce you to an old friend." While Jamey was still struggling to get free from his hold pounding at his arms causing her arms and hands to turn purple from bruising. When Jamey saw who he was talking about she could not believe it. He was supposed to be dead, but within the past year they were proven more than once that the dead don't always stay dead.

The rest of the room looked towards the cyborg figure who looked somewhat familiar but no one knew from where. "AJ." Jamey said his name above whisper. "That's AJ!?!" Nick said. "What did you do to him? How is he alive? I saw him die!" Jamey was beyond upset she was practically screaming at Savage with what strength she had left in her voice. Savage got dangerously close to her ear and in a voice that made her skin crawl. "We found him while you were busy helping Sid and with you focused on the mutant problem we were able to fix AJ. Now he is a loyal servant to me. And I don't even need to hypnotize him. Speaking of which Hypno it's your turn." Savage was now using all of his force to turn Jamey's face towards the mutant. She struggled and grunted trying to get away only hurting herself more and ultimately failed. Hypno opened his third eye and hypnotized Jamey. "You will do whatever Savage commands." Hypno ordered. "I will do whatever Savage commands." Jamey replied as she stopped moving become compliant. "There we go." Savage commented, finally letting go of the genius.

"Now that you have Neutron. Allow me the honor of killing Estevez." Shawn said walking to Savage. "No. Not yet. I need him alive." Savage replied. "I'm sure the genius can still replicate his powers even if he isn't alive." Shawn argued. "Maybe so. But you'll never get the chance." Savage agreed. "What?" Shawn replied, surprised. "You see. I don't just want the N-Men's powers, I want all of them." Savage's words began to make everyone in the room including his own children even more uncomfortable. "You mean all of them except us. Right." Max commented. "No." Savage replied with a sadistic smile. He snapped his fingers again and instantly Sinister Guy super sped into the room and raced straight for Max striking him into a wall knocking him out. Sinister Guy then charged straight for the L.O.S.E.R.S. He tackled Monica to the ground and delivered a punch to her that knocked her out. He looked straight at Sarah and fired his heat vision at her knocking her away, sending her into Hypno knocking them both out. Force used his telekinetic powers to hold Sinister Guy down. "Not so tough are you!" He shouted. Nate raced in and punched Force with enough force to knock him into a wall knocking him out. "Why are you helping them?" Shawn asked Nate. "I'm only loyal to Rush. They make it means I follow them." Nate replied. Shawn tried to fly away but the Sinister Guy grabbed his leg and threw him to the ground, knocking him out. Beautiful looked at Savage in shock. "Why?"

"Oh my wonderful daughter. You were just a means to an end." Savage replied coldly. Beautiful extended her claws and charged straight for her father. Nate raced to her and began running around her creating a vacuum. Beautiful struggled to breathe gasping for air. Nate stopped. Just before Beautiful could pass out she looked at her sister. "W-Why are you helping him?" Martha walked up to her. "Like Father said. It's nothing personal." With a swift kick Martha knocked Beautiful out. "Pack everything. We're going to the compound." Savage ordered. Martha, Nate, and Sinister Guy agreed and went to take everything away. "Soon I will have godhood." Savage said with a sadistic smile. "AJ make sure they don't escape." Savage left Jamey's ex in charge of guarding all the prisoners.

Savage's Base

Savage had taken all his prisoners back to his HQ. "Jamey, Martha get to work immediately." Savage ordered. "Yes Master." Martha replied. "I'll get the genetic scanner at once." As she went to get the device a question was spoken. "Genetic scanner?" Jamey asked. "A few weeks ago we had the top researcher in genetics Dr Desmond build us a device that can scan the DNA of others. We used it to scan my brother and the speedster to create the Special Guy clone and the drug Rush." Martha explained. "I see. No wonder they're both such failures." Jamey replied. "What!" Martha said, offended. "Using a genetic scanner would have only given you a rough blueprint. No wonder the clone and users of the drug suffer from cellular degeneration." Jamey explained. "And what would you have done?" Martha asked. "Simple. Use Monica." Savage spoke up, interested. "What do you mean?" He asked. "Monica is a power vampire. She saps life energy from other people and gains their powers and memories. If we were to build a machine using her to transfer all the powers to you and using stabilizing serum to keep the power within you. There would be a zero percent chance of cellular degeneration." Jamey explained. "Does that check out?" Savage asked Martha. "When she puts it like that. Then yes. It does check out." Martha begrudgingly agreed. "Then I'm glad someone here actually knows what they're doing." Savage commented before walking out. Even though she knew she was a hypnotized slave at the moment. Martha couldn't help but scowl at Jamey showing her up in front of her father.

Retroville, Jamey's House

Brett was outside the Neutron-Wheezer's front door thinking about Jamey.

Flashback

"Jamey, this plan of yours is just insane!" Brett declared. "B, you just need to trust me." Jamey replied. "I trust you. But I also think you're completely insane. If one thing goes wrong. You and everybody else will end up dead." Brett did not like this plan. "I know. But what choice do I have." Jamey replied walking out the door. "Just make sure you get that letter to my mom." Brett looked worried for her friend.

Flashback ends

"Well here goes nothing." Brett sighed to himself. After the revelation of Jamey's device exploding, Martha and Judy went through some rough times. They were bombarded with daily death threats, their friends shunned them and Martha almost lost her job as a doctor and Judy was almost disbarred. Thankfully time healed those wounds. Well time, and a raging monster that destroyed the town which nobody knew was Jamey, an Sinister Guy clone terrorizing the city, a misguided speedster robbing people and several terrorist attacks. Basically speaking with each new threat the town faced, there was barely enough time to remember what happened with Jamey. Now the Neutron-Wheezers had more or less gotten back to their routines; their friends were speaking to them again, the death threats became more like pranks and they were even making nice headway at their jobs. Martha and Judy were enjoying a nice lunch when they heard a knock on the door. "Martha, could you get that?" Judy asked. "Sure." Martha replied, getting up to open the door and saw Brett standing there. "Nice to see you again Mrs Neutron-Wheezer." Brett greeted her. Martha was actually pretty bad with faces so she didn't recognize her at first. "I'm sorry. Have we met?" Brett had met both of Jamey's moms before but only recently met her brother. "I'm Brett." Martha still looked at her confused. "Brett Quinlin." Martha still gave her a blank expression. "You know Jamey's old friend." Finally it dawned on her. "Oh now I remember. You're one of jamsey's science chums. Come in." Martha happily said letting Brett into her home. The two then met Judy in the kitchen. "Hey Sugar Booger. Guess who dropped by." Martha said, introducing Brett. "Brett, it's been so long. What brings you here?" Judy asked. "Your daughter." Brett answered.

Martha and Judy looked at each other. "What does Jamey need?" Judy asked. "Well she didn't really tell me. She just told me to give you this." Brett replied, handing the Neutron's a letter. Judy opened it. As Martha and Judy read the letter their facial expressions became very serious. "Follow us." Marth said unusually seriously. Brett was quite surprised by the change. The two got up and took Brett to their bedroom. "What are we doing here?" Brett asked. Martha and Judy looked at each other. "Jamey must be really in a bind if she asked you here." Judy commented. Brett was still a bit surprised by the personality shift the Neutron-Wheezers had. "Yeah, but I don't know why she wanted me to come here." Martha and Judy opened their closet. They put their hand on the inner part of the doors and as they began to scan their hands, two platforms with ignition keys came up. "What the heck." Brett said in pure confusion. Martha and Judy both pulled out keys, put the keys in the ignitions and turned the keys, opening a door. "Let's go." Martha ordered. As Martha and Judy stepped through the door they were stopped by Brett's questions. "Okay. What the heck is going on? Why is there a secret door in your closet?"

"I guess we have to explain." Martha commented. "Yeah, I think you do." Brett replied, folding his arms. "You see, on the outside we may seem like two of the most ordinary people on the planet." Martha began to explain. "We're kind of stretching the word "normal" but carry on." Brett commented. "But we are more than that." Judy continued. "You know Jamey's the fifth smartest person on the planet." Brett rolled his eyes. "Yeah, she never shuts up about it." Brett replied. "Well you're looking at the second and fourth smartest people on the planet." Brett froze for a moment to comprehend what he had just been told. "I'm sorry WHAT!" Brett said in pure astonishment. "I'm the second smartest person on the planet." Judy explained with a little pride in her voice. "It's not a competition, dear." Martha commented. "You see we were both children taken by our families to be a part of some government program. They poked and prodded at us. They made us hack, build or whatever to do what they wanted.'' Judy continued. "It didn't even matter what we wanted. But as luck would have it an opportunity struck." Martha continued. "We hacked the military database and effectively erased ourselves from existence. Digitally speaking and physically speaking. We burned our files." Judy explained. "And gave ourselves new identities. And fled to this small town. Where we could live the lives we wanted. At the time we were just two friends and after Hugh's death we just became more." Martha continued. "You wanted to be a doctor?" Brett questioned. "Yes I did. Act or not, I like being Martha Neutron-Wheezer. It's who I chose to be. She's who I am now and I never want to go back." Martha replied sternly. "And I love being Judy. A kickass lawyer who can also take care of her family." Judy added. "We told Jamey about us a couple of years ago. We told her she can choose whatever life she wants to live. We may have had intellects that could've changed the world for the better."

"Or worse." Judy added. "But we didn't want to. We wanted something else for our lives but we weren't going to get in the way of Jamey's. If she wanted to be a scientist then she would be a scientist." Martha explained. "We gave Jamey a secret code. If we ever heard or in this case read it, we would temporarily drop our personas and help our son." Judy explained. "Whoa! You two might be the coolest parents ever." Brett commented. "If we're done with story time. Let's get to work!" Martha ordered. "Okay, just one more question. Aren't you afraid the army will find you again?" Judy and Martha briefly looked at one another. "Oh they did." Judy smiled. "What happened?" Brett asked. "Let's just say we came to an understanding. If anything happens to us because of them, every "weather balloon" accident they've had over the last decade will become public knowledge." Brett stated wide eyed a little scared of the two women now. "I think I liked you better before." Brett gulped. "Don't worry as soon as we're done here I'll get back to normal. Or the normal I want the world to perceive." Judy replied. "When this is all over I'm going to pretend I never heard or saw any of this." Brett commented. "You'd better. Unlike Jamey we don't play with a memory eraser. Too many variables. We play with a memory extractor. Much more permanent." Martha commented. "Like I said. I liked you better before. So what did Jamey want you to do?" Brett replied. "She just wants us to spread all of Savage's files across the internet." Martha answered. "How long will that take?" Brett asked. "If we were just dumping the files, a couple minutes at best. But Jamey wants to ensure everybody sees this, so we're going to hack into every media company, every platform, every streaming service, anything that someone can see on a screen and forcibly put all of Savage's information on them." Martha explained. "How long will that take?" Brett asked. "Done properly in an hour." Judy answered. Brett still had one more question. "I thought you didn't know about Carl being part of this?" Martha and Judy paused and looked at each other for a moment before answering. "We didn't know. Any of it. But we were upset hearing Carl was involved with this with Jamey because we failed to protect one child and to hear that both were involved and to hear what he did and how we made him feel." Martha couldn't continue. Truth is they felt like failures for not knowing what was happening in their children's lives. "But Carl does not know anything about what we used to do or is helping and we would like to keep it that way understood?" Judy said threateningly. All Brett could do was nod.

Savage's Base

All of Savage's mutant and human prisoners were being held in Savage's prison. All that could be heard was water dropping out of a leaky pipe and Carl singing. "Nobody knows the trouble I feel! Nobody knows my troubles." Monica snapped at Carl. "Can you just shut up! If I'm going to croak. I at least want to die in silence!" Carl replied bitterly towards the pest. "Well considering the reason I'm about to die is because of you I'll just keep doing what I was doing. It's a small world after all…" Everyone in their cells began to groan, even the N-Men. "Hey Carl, I know you're trying to stick it to Monica and all but I would really appreciate it if you would put a sock in it!" Sheen calmly stated. A little bit further the siblings Libby and Shawn were having a conversation. "I hope you're happy Shawn." Libby commented. "Yes, I am. I'm jumping for joy right now." Shawn sarcastically replied. "Funny. I hope you understand that we're here because of your dumbass vendetta against Sheen." Shawn snapped back. "It is not foolish. He betrayed me!"

"How, Shawn? How? Because I've heard the story a hundred times. You set off an alarm, you tried to fight the cops, and you lit yourself on fire, Sheen ran. How the hell did he betray you." Shawn kept quiet. "And to think of it, didn't you spout some nonsense about getting respect or something." Shawn remained quiet. "So drop the crap and tell me what's really going on. Because if you haven't noticed we're about to die." Shawn mumbled something completely unintelligible. "What?" Libby asked. "I'm mad that he abandoned me okay." Libby was now a little confused. "So you're telling me, you allied yourself with a cult, committed who knows how many crimes, abandoned your family all because your feelings got hurt." Libby elaborated. Shawn just groaned. "That can't possibly be true unless… OOOHH. I get it now." Libby said, finally realizing Shawn's true motivation. "You like Sheen." Libby said with a smile. "What! No!" Shawn denied. "And I'm not just saying like I mean like, like." Libby said playfully. "T-That's ridiculous!" Shawn replied, starting to blush. "Now it all makes sense. Why else would an upper middle class kid knowingly ally himself with a criminal. You did it for love." Libby teased him. "I am not going to acknowledge what you just said." Shawn replied Libby moving to the back of his cell. "You better tell him how you feel before we, you know, die." Shawn smuggly replied. "Same to you."

In another part of the room, the humans were speaking amongst themselves. Instead of getting a cell each like the mutants, they were all thrown in one cell. "So what do you think they're going to do to us?" Brent asked. "If this is anything like the comics I've read. They'll probably keep us alive to do painful experiments on us." Elky nonchalantly replied. "You're taking this well." Nick commented. "Nick, in the last year I've almost died three times. I'm over freaking out." Elky replied. "Oh my god! I can't believe this is happening to me! I don't deserve this. Who am I kidding? I totally deserve this. I'm never going to get to go to Paris or Shanghai. I'll never get married. This Suck! This totally sucks. I wished he just killed me instead of leaving me to suffer like this. What am I going to do? I don't even have a will. I bet my brother's just going to take all my stuff.'' Megan began ranting in the corner of her cell. "She is not handling this well." Nick commented. "Give her time a few more of these. And she'll be whistling a little tone waiting to be rescued." Elky commented. "That's if there is a next time." Brent commented. Elky was confused by that comment. "What do you mean? Sid and the others will break out, kick the General's butt and have us home in time for breakfast." Nick replied. "Usually I would like to agree with you but this time it's a little different. Our super powered friends are in cages without their amazing powers. The genius who leads them is currently hypnotized and since the big bad just so happens to be a United States General nobody is actually looking for us." Brent pointed out. "Oh!" Elky and Nick said in unison. Elky sat down. "So in lame mans terms we're totally fu…" A little bit further the children of Savage were speaking with one another. "So Sid was it. How are you liking the family business so far." Max sarcastically asked. "Gee, how do I answer that?" Sid said, playing along. "Well it's horrifying with a touch of disgust and agony."

"Wow he got it in one go. I just don't know how this could've happened. I did everything for Father. Sacrificed everything and this is how he treats me. But in hindsight I shouldn't be that surprised. He literally told us stories of him betraying his first born." Max ranted. "And you still followed him." Sid commented. "I don't need to hear from the golden child what's right and wrong." Max replied to him. "What are you talking about?" Sid asked. "How old are you?" Max asked. "17, why?" He replied. "Well, I'm twenty and our dear father has had me doing his dirty work since I was eight. Martha was six. You were the kid he actually looked after. You got to go to normal school, he took you camping and read you bedtime stories. Do you know what I got? Training, training and even more training for his cause. From the moment I hit puberty he sent me on espionage missions to ensure none of his competition were on to him." Max ranted, his tone of voice changed slightly, becoming more tormented and broken. Martha let so many people do things to her because of him." Max might not admit it but he was protective of his sister. They were both in the same boat, and he hated his father for what he did to her. "Why did you do those things for him?" Sid asked. "The answer is simple, little brother. We wanted our Dad to love us. But sadly that never happened. Even poor Martha up there is trying her best for a man she knows will never care about her. We almost came to believe maybe dear old Dad was incapable of feeling love." Max said. "That was until you." He added. "What do you mean?" Sid asked. "Like I said before. He treated you like his actual kid. He didn't even tell you who he was. Why do you think that?" Sid remained quiet. "Because he cares about you. He let you live the life all of us prayed for but knew we could never get. In fact I would bet if you weren't a mutant like all of us you still wouldn't know." Max continued. "Little good it's done me being his so called favorite. I'm in a cell just like the rest of you." Sid commented. "For now." Max replied.

"Wait, something just occurred to me." Sid said, getting everyone's attention. Now that the shock of his father's truth had sunk in he remembered something Jamey had said. "Did Jamey say my dad shot her which caused her to change into that orange monster?" Libby's eyes went wide and Carl looked ready to puke. "Yeah, that video we saw was real, she told me before I helped her escape from her cell." Sid whipped his head towards Sheen. "You knew! You knew what my dad did, what happened to Jamey, the video. Why didn't you tell us?" Sid was mad. He should have been the one to know this from her. "Look Jamey doesn't even know about the video and she wanted to get as much evidence as possible before telling you." Sid just didn't understand why she didn't just tell him. "Does she not trust me?" Now it was Carl's turn to speak up. "Look I only just found out a few days ago and when we asked Jamey why we shouldn't tell you her reasoning had nothing to do with trust." Libby was confused now she could understand why she didn't want Sid to know but she felt left out. "Sid, she didn't tell you because she didn't trust you. She didn't tell you because she was afraid to lose you." Sheen finished. Sid didn't know how to take that and Nick was now faced with something that she didn't want to admit, but now she didn't have a choice.

Martha's Lab

Jamey and Martha were hard at work building Savage's power draining machine. Savage walked into the room. "How are things progressing?" He asked his daughter. "We are way ahead of schedule." Martha delightfully replied. "The only thing left to do is test the serum." Jamey said in a dazed state. "What do you mean?" Savage asked. "To ensure the stabilizing serum works I need to test out a mutant creation serum I just invented." Jamey answered. "Why do you need to do that?" Savage asked. "Because I lack the cosmic radiation from the van pattern belt I have created a serum that will force the mutant gene to activate but it won't stay active for long. I will use the stabilizing serum to ensure the gene stays active. For your plan to work we need to make sure the serum works." Savage nodded at this. "Understood. Martha gets the guards to bring those powerless teenagers here for testing." Savage ordered before walking off. "Yes Master." She bowed, Martha then scowled at Jamey. "Just you wait kid. I'll kill you myself when this is all over." She said before leaving the room. Jamey's facial expression went from a blank stare to a cocky smile. "We'll see."

Prison Cells

Savage walked towards his children. "Hello children." He greeted them. "Oh look, the prodigal father has returned." Max scoffed. "What are you doing here?" Sid asked. "I'm here for you my boy." Savage replied to Sid. "Oh here we go. Saw it coming a mile away." Max committed. "What do you want from me?" Sid asked. "I want you to join me, Sid. I want you to stand by my side." Now it was Sid's turn to scoff. "You must be joking."

"I am not. I can spare you from the fate everyone else is going to experience. But you have to agree to serve me." Savage smiled. "Read my lips. Go to He…" Max was kind of proud of his brother at that moment and was struggling to not smirk at their father's frustration. "Insulant boy!" Savage shouted. "Is this how you're going to repay me after everything I've done for you!" Sid could not believe his ears. "You honestly think I would do anything for you after all the crap you've pulled. You've killed millions, ruined even more lives, even sacrificed your own kids. Only a fool would take anything you say at face value."

"Then so be it." Savage replied to him having regained his composure. "I'll just make another one. Maybe this one won't be such a disappointment like all of you were." At that moment AJ began carrying Nick, Elky, Brent, and Megan away. "Hey let me go!" Brent shouted. "Get your hands off me!" Elky shouted. "Somebody help us!" Megan shouted. Nick just grunted and screamed as she tried to fight off the cyborg. "What are you going to do to them?" Sid asked. "I would tell you, but a certain young man just told me to go to hell. I must be going." Savage smirked walking away. "SAVAGE! Come back here! What are you going to do my friends!" Sid shouted. "You should've taken him on his offer. You might have been able to save your friends." Max commented.

Martha's Lab

Nick, Elky, Brent, and Megan were dragged into Martha's lab and strapped to operating tables. "What do you think they're going to do to us!?" Megan cried. "Painful experiments." Elky bluntly answered. "Elky." Brent called her out. "The last thing this girl needs is to be lied to. What else do you think they'll do to us? We're on medical tables." Elky shouted back with a huff. Honestly, what else did they think was gonna happen to them? "Really wish I listened to my Mom and went to that boarding school in England." Nick commented. At that moment Jamey walked into the room with eight different vials of serum. Four were colored blue, the rest were colored red. Martha was holding various objects; a taser, a glass of water, A metal pipe, and an elastic band. "Hey Neutron! If you can hear me. Fight this. We need that big brain of yours." Nick shouted trying to get through to Jamey who gave her a blank stare and put one of the blue vials into a syringe. "What are you going to do with that?" Nick asked. Without hesitation Jamey injected Nick with the serum who began to scream in pain.

"Now, hit her with the taser." Jamey ordered Martha. Though not pleased, Martha did exactly what Jamey asked and struck Nick with the taser who began to scream louder then suddenly electricity began to bounce off her body. "Astonishing." Martha said, impressed. "Not only did you activate her mutant gene but you determined what powers she was going to get." Jamey then injected the red serum into Nick who then calmed down and passed out. "How are the vitals?" Jamey asked. "They're… Stable. Test subject 1 was a success." Martha said, surprised. "Now for test subject 2." Jamey said, looking at Elky. "They're making us mutants!" Elky said, trying to hide her excitement. "I don't want to be a mutant." Megan shouted. Jamey walked up to Elky and injected her with the serum. Elky began to scream in pain like Nick, Martha then poured water all over her but nothing happened. "What's going on?" Martha asked. Jamey held up her scanner. "It appears this one has no mutant gene." The news startled Elky. "N-No! That can't be true! Maybe your weird science juice doesn't work!"

"My test is for the stabilizer. The serum is guaranteed to work on a potential mutant." Jamey replied. The news hit Elky like a punch to the gut; she didn't say another word. She just had a blank stare on her face. "Guess we'll have to move on to subject 3." Jamey said, walking up to Brent. "Give him the metal bar." Martha forcibly put a metal bar in Brent's hands, Jamey then injected him with the blue serum, Brent began to scream in pain as his skin began to become more metallic. Martha went in to try to inject her with the red serum but Jamey stopped her. "That won't work right now. Wait for him to calm down." As Brent's screams began to die down, parts of his body began to look normal. "Now! Before he completely changes back!" Jamey ordered. Martha quickly injected Brent with the red serum causing the boy to pass out. "Test subject 3 is also stable. Time for the final test subject." Martha said. "Please I beg you! Don't do this to me! I'm too beautiful to be a mutant." Megan tried to plead with her. Jamey ignored her and injected Megan with the blue serum. Like the others Megan began to scream in pain. "Now the elastic band!" Jamey ordered. Martha placed the elastic band on Megan. Megan began to melt on the table. Martha began to panic. "What do we do…"

"Just be patient, she'll slowly go back to normal. Inject her when she's solid enough." Jamey replied, slightly dropping his act which Martha failed to notice. Like Jamey said, Megan began to regain her shape and began to solidify. The moment she felt comfortable enough, Martha quickly acted, injecting Megan with the red serum. While Martha was busy with that Jamey quickly snuck to Elky and put a piece of paper, a USB, and a third device in her pocket which the girl noticed but chose to remain silent. Megan became human again and passed out. "And subject 4 is also a success." Martha said happily. "Three out of four test subjects I must admit Father was right to hold you in such high regard. And with one serum still remaining we don't have to make more." Jamey noticed this and quickly moved, accidentally tripping, dropping the last vile of red serum. "Just like a mindless slave to be so careless. Let's go before you break something else." Martha commented. "Cyborg take them back to their cells. And make sure the dampeners are on." AJ came into the room and took the kids back to their cells. While waiting for everyone to awaken, Elky pulled out the piece of paper Jamey gave her. It had instructions on it. "Wow! Didn't see this coming."

Flashback

Jamey and Brett were having an argument. "Jamey, this is not going to work! This is way too big of a risk!" Brett shouted. "It will work." Jamey replied. "You told me that only 5% of earth's population has the mutant gene. How on earth could you possibly guarantee our serum's going to work?" Brett asked. "I don't have any guarantee's B. I just have hope." He looked at her like she was joking. "Hope! You're going to get yourself and those kids killed." He said still waiting for the punchline. "Brett, I don't have many options. All I need is for one of them to have the gene. Just one." Brett pointed out one flaw. "And what if none of them have it?" Brett asked. "Then I'll need to come up with a good plan B fast." Jamey replied.

Flash Back End

A few minutes later the others began to wake up. "What happened?" Nick groaned. "My head feels like it's on fire." Brent groaned, holding his head. "I can't feel my face." Megan groaned. "Great, you guys are awake." Elky commented. "Are you okay?" Nick shook her head. "I feel okay, but what happened? " Nick asked. "Nothing big. Jamey just turned the three of you into mutants." Elky answered her. "What!" they all said in unison. It all began to come back to them. They all remembered the experiment that was done to them. "I don't know how I feel about this." Nick commented. "Neither do I." Brent commented. "I'm totally freaking out." Megan said hyperventilating. "Well get a hold of yourself. We better get going now." Elky commented. "What are you talking about?" Nick asked. "We're in this cell." Elky handed Nick the paper Jamey gave her. Nick began to read it. "I'm truly sorry about what I did to all of you. We're in a dire situation, I neither had the time nor the opportunity to ask for your consent. I have a mission for you. Under what I've written here there is a map of this facility. I need you to take the flash drive and plug it into this base's central computer. If you do accept this mission the device I gave one of you is a long lasting EMP it will disable the power dampeners that would probably be in place and as your making your way to the central computer it will disable the cameras and coms so nobody will be able to call for help. Don't worry it is not strong enough to deactivate the central computer. I know you might want to immediately save the team but that would be a massive error. They will probably be guarded by the Special Guy clone and I know that none of you will be able to stop her. To quote a famous movie, please help. You're my only hope."

After reading the letter the teens were left with a massive choice. "What do we do?" Brent asked. "I don't know." Nick replied. "We have to help." Elky declared. "Help!" Megan panted. "We're not some superhero team. We only got our powers 10 minutes ago. If we go out there. We are going to die!" Nick and Brent thought about what Megan was saying. On some level she was right. They had next to no training and they were going against highly trained soldiers. The odds were not in their favor. Even though she was still struggling with the news she couldn't become a mutant Elky stepped up to lead the teens. "Listen guys. The N-Men aren't coming to save us. They need saving. Look, I know this situation seems completely hopeless. Because, well… It is. But it's our time to be heroes. We need to do this. Sid once told me when he first became a mutant he had to fight Stone. You know the guy who tried to kill the whole town. She won. And we can too. We just need to believe we can. Jamey Neutron didn't pick us for nothing." Brent looked at Nick like she was crazy. "I'm not really sure she had much of a choice." Brent commented. "Even if that's the case. No one else is coming. It's up to us." Elky said, putting her hand in between everyone. Even though none of them were particularly excited about what they were about to do; Nick, Brent and Megan decided to join in. "Fine. I'm in." Nick said, putting her hand on top of Elky. "Me too." Brent agreed, putting his hand on top of Nick's. The three looked at Megan who was extremely nervous. "Come on… Uhm I didn't quite catch your name." Elky commented. "It's Megan." She said to the over enthusiatic girl. "Come on Megan. We can't do this without you." Megan thought about it, she thought of the risks then she thought about Becky's parents and how she never got a chance to apologize to them and she wouldn't if she died here. It was at that moment Megan made her mind up. "I'm in." She said, placing her hand on top of Brent's. "All right! From this moment forward we are the New Mutants. Protectors of Retroville. Let's go." Elky said before activating the device that Jamey gave her, disabling the power dampeners. Nick's hands began to spark, Brent's body became metallic, and Megan's body became all stretchy before going back to normal.

Flashback

"Okay, even if you give those guys powers. How are you going to guarantee they'll be able to use their powers effectively?" Brett asked. "I can't explain it. But it seems mutants instinctively know how to use their powers after gaining them." Jamey explained. "How could you possibly know that?" Brett asked. "I've been watching the others. Special Guy, Stone, Force, Invisister, and Echo. All of them never actually had a problem using their powers. I just hope Nick, Elky, Brent, and Megan have that trait too." Jamey replied.

Flashback Ends

"You guys ready?" Elky asked. The others nodded their heads as they busted out of their cells. "Hey what are you doing!?" AJ shouted running towards the teens with his weapons and began firing at the teens. Elky and Nick ducked and went straight for cover, Megan stood still as the bullets hit but were deflected because they couldn't pierce her new elastic skin. "Stop that tickles!" She giggled. Brent armored up and went to confront the guards. His bullets bounced off him as well. "This is kinda cool." He commented. Brent ran straight for AJ and tackled him to the ground. Nick wanted to help so she jumped out of her hiding spot and fired bolts of electricity electrocuting the cyborg. "Is that it?" Nick asked. "No." One of the guards shouted, having captured Elky holding her at gunpoint. "Now listen here, freaks. You're going to get back in your cell nice and slow or the girl gets it." Nick and Brent didn't know what to do. "No!" Megan shouted quickly, stretching her arm disarming the guard. Seeing him unarmed Nick fired a bolt of electricity knocking him down. "Well that was scary." Megan commented. "Yeah. Do you think I killed those guys?" Nick asked. Brent and Elky looked back and saw the virtually cooked human beings. "They're fine." Elky smiled nervously. "No. You only knocked them out." Brent lied. "Really." Nick said wanting to see the bodies for herself. "We really don't have time for that." Brent said, turning her away. "Yeah. We have a bad guy to stop." Elky agreed, pushing her forward. "Well, okay then." Nick agreed. Megan looked back and saw the cooked corpses. And nervously followed them.

The group made their way to the central computer fighting off everyone that got in their way. Eventually the group made it to the central computer. "Is this the place?" Brent asked. "Yup, according to the map." Elky answered. "Why are there no guards?" Nick asked. "Maybe they just didn't have enough to protect this whole place." Megan suggested. "Or more believably they have some ultra security measure." Elky said nervously. "We still have Neutron's EMP thing so we should be fine." Nick commented. "Hopefully." Brent commented. The teens walked to the sealed metal door. Brent armored up and used his increased strength to pry the doors open. Teens walked into the room. "So which port do we choose?" Megan asked. "I don't think it matters. Jamey's letter just told us to plug it in. Nothing more." Elky replied. At that moment a cute little robot walked over to them. "Aww, that's so cute!" Megan swooned. "Where can I get my own!" Brent agreed. "I know." Elky agreed. Nick was the only one still on task. "Guys why is there a toy robot here anyway." The tiny bot looked up at them. "Greetings, I am Killbot. State your name and rank please."

"That is so cute!" Megan squealed. "What should we do with him?" Nick asked, talking about AJ. "I don't know." Elky replied. Unbeknownst to the group little Killbot began to transform, he started to grow in size becoming much more threatening. Brent was the first to notice. "Ahh guys!" He said, concerned. The others looked at Killbot in fear. "State your name and rank or die!" Killbot ordered. "What do we do? We need a plan." Megan panicked. "I have a plan. Attack!" Brent declared armoring up. "Not really a plan!" Elky yelled at Brent as he leaped into the air and attacked the bot. Killbot knocked him into the ground. Brent quickly got up and struck Killbot several times in the chest. Killbot grabbed him and threw him into the ground. "Guess we need a plan B." Nick commented.

Martha's Lab

Jamey and Martha had finished the power draining machine. It was a large machine with several capsules attached to it. There was a separate capsule that was a little further from the massive machine and a little ahead of it was a platform with two rods. Savage had gathered the heroes and the villains with power dampening collars on her neck. "What do we have here?" Savage asked, impressed. "With this machine you will have the combined powers of all the mutants." Martha began to explain. "We'll put the mutants into those pods." She explained, gesturing to the large machine. "We'll put Monica into that pod." She explained, gesturing to the separate capsule. "When we activate the machine, all you have to do is touch the power rods." Jamey, only presenting a blank face, could feel the pit of her stomach drop as time continued to pass on. "Excellent. When can we begin?" Savage asked. "Immediately." Martha answered. "Then let's get started. " Savage said excitedly. Jamey, still putting her facade on, wondered why; Brent, Megan, Elky, and Nick hadn't finished their mission and looked worried for her friends.

Central Computer Room

Killbot had just knocked Brent into the ground. Nick charged in. "Elky, go plug in that flash drive! We'll handle this!' Elky nodded as she raced towards the computer. "We will." Megan said nervously. Nick fired a bolt of electricity that stunned Killbot. Using that as an opportunity to run Elky went to find a port of the USB. Killbot's arm transformed into a gun; it fired a form-like substance that covered Nick, effectively insulating her. "Ah oh." Nick commented as the Killbot went straight for her and prepared to step on her. Megan went in and stretched herself around Killbot, preventing him from moving. "Thanks." Nick commented. "D-Don't mention it!" Megan groaned as she struggled to restrain Killbot. Elky was running around trying to find a port. "Come on! Where is it! Where is it! You're telling me a room this big has no ports!" She complained. Brent finally regained consciousness. "Are we winning?" He asked Nick, walking up to her. "Kind of." Nick answered. "Megan's trying her best to hold that thing down. We need a plan to take that thing down." It was then that Brent regained enough clarity to come up with an idea. "I have one. I'll hit that thing really hard." Brent suggested. "How is that a plan?" Nick asked. "Listen. Maybe I can punch a hole into that thing. You fire some lightning and we take it out." Nick though aboutit for a second and thought that the best wins from the N-Men was when they all worked together so what could this hurt. Other than themselves. "That could work." Nick agreed. "CAN YOU TWO PLEASE HURRY!" Megan screamed. Brent armored himself up and charged straight for Killbot. Using all his strength, Brent managed to punch a hole into Killbot. "Do it now!" Brent shouted. "But the both of you are still…"

"Just shoot us!" Brent and Megan screamed in unison. Nick did as they commanded, firing a bolt of electricity that struck Brent. The chain reaction of short circuited Killbot but also caused both Brent and Megan to scream in pain and collapse. "Are you two okay!?" Nick rushed to them. "I'm never doing that again." Brent groaned. "Ditto." Megan agreed. "I hope Elky's having better luck than us." Nick commented. Elky was still running around searching for a USB port. "Aghh! Why is this so hard!" She screamed running past a port. Elky quickly realized this and made her way back. "Finally?" she shouted, plugging the USB in. "What now?" she asked herself. Without warning the monitors in the room began to glow red. Nick, Brent, and Megan caught up with her. "Did it work?" Nick asked. "I think so." Elky replied. "What do we do now?" Megan asked. "Save our friends." Elky declared.

Martha's Lab

Everyone was in their designated position. Martha was preparing to activate the machine and Jamey was just standing idly by waiting for Nick, Elky, Brent, and Megan to complete their mission. "How much longer?" Savage asked. "Not much just running a diagnostics test. Don't want this machine exploding." Martha replied. "You're never going to get away with this!" Sid shouted from his pod. "Yes my boy. I think I will." Savage replied. "I swear. If I ever get out of this thing. I'm going to kill you!" Monica declared from her pod. Sheen from his pod stared at his brother who was standing guard with the Sinister Guy. "Nate. You have to stop this! This maniac is going to kill us." Nate just looked at Sheen, his eyes fogged over red from the Rush. "Guess you don't win this time brother." Nate coldy replied. "Guess this is it guys." Carl said from his pod. "Yeah. It was fun while it lasted." Libby agreed. "You guys are the best friends in the world a guy could wish for." Sheen said. "I only wish I got a chance to tell her how I felt." Sid commented not realizing he was voicing his thoughts out loud. "I'm sure Nick knew how you felt." Carl tried to console him. "Nick?" Sid said, slightly confused. "Oh right! Nick. My girlfriend. That's who I meant." Both Sheen and Libby knew who exactly Sid was talking about. Carl on the other hand was completely clueless. Martha finished the system diagnostics. "Everything's ready. Commence countdown. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6." As Martha began her countdown it sent a shiver through most of the captives' spines. Some accepted their fate while the rest did small prayers. "5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Engage." Martha said, activating the machine.

A blue light began to shine from the platform Monica was standing on. She instantly began to scream in pain. The blue energy traveled to the big machine and soon the platforms the heroes and villains were standing on began to glow blue as well, instantly they began to scream in pain like Monica. The two rods Savage was standing near began to glow. "It is time!" Savage said before grabbing the rods. Savage's body began to glow with energy. His hair began to stand up and his eyes began to glow blue. "I CAN FEEL IT! I CAN FEEL IT! THE POWER!" He shouted. Suddenly the cybernetic prosthetic arm Martha had built for him fell off and a new arm began to regenerate, soon after his cybernetic legs fell off and new ones quickly regenerated, replacing them, and lastly his cybernetic eye fell out and a new one regenerated. Jamey fully saw all that Hulk had done to him when she had first attacked. She then began to be increasingly more concerned, but her worries were short lived, because at that moment every computer in the room began to glow red. "What's going on?" Martha asked. "Finally." Jamey said, dropping her act. "I was getting sick and tired of spending time with you." She said looking at Martha. "What!? You're supposed to be hypnotized!" Martha shouted. "What can I say? I'm a great actor." Jamey replied. Martha pulled out a knife and went straight in to attack Jamey, but she quickly dodged her, knocked the knife out of her hand and punched her incredibly hard in the jaw knocking her out. "Sorry Savage but I'm putting a stop to your little power play." Jamey commented, walking over to the control panel. "Stop her!" Savage ordered Nate and Sinister Guy. Nate immediately used his super speed to move Jamey out of the way and restrain her. "Didn't think this through, huh genius." Nate commented. "Actually yes I did." Jamey smirked and as she blinked her eyes changed from blue to green, her skin began to turn orange and her hair green. Jamey broke out of Nate's hold and tossed him across the room. Jamey's body then began to grow larger, becoming more muscular. Ripping the sleeves of the shirt she was wearing; looking like her clothes come out of a 1970s Amazon Woman movie. Jamey eventually became the Hulk. Both Savage and Sinister Guy looked in shock.

Flashback

Jamey had just told Brett and Hulk that she was going to face Savage alone. "You two just need to trust me." Jamey commented. "We do trust you. We also trust that you will most certainly die if you face that mad man." Brett replied. "Maybe but I have a plan." Jamey replied, walking over to her equipment. "It's incredibly risky and only has a 52% chance of working. There are a lot of variables but I think it can work." Hulk looked at her questionably. "What is it?" Hulk asked. "I'll explain soon. But I need something from you first, Hulk." Jamey replied. "What?" Hulk asked. "I need the both of us to remerge." Jamey answered by bringing two disk shaped devices to Hulk. "What!?" Hulk shouted in surprise. "It's the only way we can win." Jamey replied. "Savage is know doubt going to use Hypno to hypnotize me. You can easily snap me back into reality. He can only Hypnotize one of us." Hulk grunted, shaking her head in dismay. "If you think I'm going to go back into your subconscious. You're insane."

"It's not going to be like that this time, Hulk. The last time there were a lot of factors. You and I didn't see eye to eye, the Cerebro inhibitor was blocking your consciousness from mine and we were basically fighting for control. As long as we accept each other as parts of one another the merge will be completely different. Trust me Hulk, the last thing I want to do is cause you more pain." Hulk looked at Jamey and believed her. "Fine. I'll trust you, Neutron. But I swear, if you betray me. Savage will be the last thing you should be afraid of." Jamey nodded her head in understanding. "I understand." Jamey agreed and handed Hulk one of the disk shaped devices. "What do I do with this?" Hulk asked. "I've been working on these devices for a couple of weeks now. You put that disk on your chest. I put the one I have on mine. When I activate them we will assimilate into one another." Hulk was hesitant. "Are you sure this will work?" Hulk asked, putting the disk on her chest. "Not really sure this is my first test." Hulk looked wide eyed at Brett who was wearing the same expression. "Wait What!?" Hulk shouted. "Fusing time." Jamey ignored her, activating the devices. Both Hulk and Jamey turned into energy and the two energy's joined together. When everything settled the energy reformed into Jamey. "Jamey, are you okay?" Brett asked. "I feel great." Jamey commented. "Hulk are you there?" She could hear the other woman in her head. "Yeah. I am. This feels weird."

"It worked." Jamey said excitedly. "What worked?" Brett asked. "I can hear Hulk in my mind." Jamey answered him. "While I'm in control of the body she can see and hear everything I can." Jamey quickly changed into one of the oversized shirts Brett had gotten for her. "Let's hope this works." Jamey transformed into Hulk. "I'm back." Hulk commented. "You see, big guy. Now you're in control of the body. It's like a switch." Hulk looked at her hands very pleased. "I see." Hulk said understanding. "You see what?" Brett asked. "Sorry. Was talking to Jamey." Hulk apologized to Brett. "That's going to get old very quickly." She commented. "Let me have control again." Hulk did what Jamey asked, transforming back into Jamey. "Now that that's sorted. Brett, we have some work to do."

Flashback ends

"It's good to be back." Hulk declared. "It's only been a few hours." Jamey commented back. "A few hours is a lifetime when you can't move your own arms." Hulk replied. "Technically their "our" arms." Hulk shook her head. "Whatever. What should I do now?" Hulk asked. "You see that panel over there. Smash it." Hulk looked over and saw the control panel. "With pleasure." She smiled. "Don't let her interfere with the transfer!" Savage shouted to Sinister Guy. Sinister Guy immediately acted using his heat vision to send Hulk back. "Are you okay?" Jamey asked, concerned for the other woman. "Come on, you felt that too. It only tickled." Hulk replied. "Talking to yourself. Nice." Sinister Guy commented. "Are you sure you want to do this? I took down the N-Men by myself." Hulk asked. "I'm better than those losers." Sinister Guy replied. "Doubt it." Hulk replied. Sinister Guy lost his cool and instantly attacked Hulk. He gave Hulk two good punches to her face that sent her flying into a wall. Before Hulk could recover, he flew straight for Hulk, tackling her through several walls. Before Hulk could get up, Sinister Guy grabbed her leg and spun her around. He let go, sending her through another set of walls into a room with many vehicles inside. Sinister Guy then picked up a tank and began repeatedly smashing it into Hulk. When the tank was completely destroyed and stopped his assault. "How… Was… That?" He panted. It looked like Hulk was unconscious. "Guess she wasn't as tough as everybody said." Inside the small crater that Sinister Guy made, Hulk was lying down smirking. "What are you doing?" Jamey asked, panicked. BUt not for Hulk's safety but for the fact Hulk was wasting time. "Shhh, shut up I'm trying to trick him." Hulk replied. "A I'm in your head. He can't hear me. And B stop messing around, Savage is almost at full power!"

"Okay, okay. You're taking the fun out of this." Hulk replied standing up, barely fazed by Sinister Guy's assault. "W-What!? How!?" Sinister Guy said in disbelief. "Simple. Hulk's the strongest one there is." Hulk said cockily. Sinister Guy charged straight for Hulk, who managed to dodge him, she quickly grabbed his leg and began to repeatedly smash Sinister Guy into the ground eventually knocking him out. Hulk smiled. "Puny clone." Hulk let him go and proudly walked back to Martha's lab. When Hulk made it back to the lab where she looked for Savage but couldn't find him. Suddenly Hulk was blasted away back by a sound blast. "Sorry Jamey. You're too late." Savage said, descending towards Hulk holding a vial of the red serum. Hulk looked at the machine the heroes and villains were trapped in and saw them unconscious, barely alive. "I'm not Jamey." Hulk stated, getting ready to fight Savage. "I have finally achieved ultimate power. There is no way you can stop me." Savage declared drinking the red serum. "Now that I will permanently keep these powers." Huffing and grunting full of rage towards the man Hulk looked him straight in the eyes. "You wanna bet?" Hulk asked leaping straight for Savage, Savage flew straight at Hulk. The two went in with a punch, their fists collided, it created a massive shockwave that sent the both of them back. Hulk was the first to get up. "Hulk, you need to confront this very carefully. Savage has the combined powers of almost every mutant."

"But he doesn't have the most powerful one." Hulk replied. "He already got Carl." Hulk was happy to have this conversion again. "I'm going to let that one go." Hulk replied. Savage got up. "I see the rumors about your strength weren't exaggerated." Savage said with a light chuckle. "Trust me. I haven't even broken a sweat." Hulk replied. The two charged at each other again, Savage punched Hulk in the face but it barely fazed the beast, Hulk grabbed Savage and slammed him into the ground. She then kicked Savage, which sent the villain into a wall. "He's not so tough." Hulk commented. "He just got his new powers. It will take him time to adapt. But when he does I fear we won't be powerful enough to stop him." Hulk snorted at that. "Hhmm, I'd like to see that." Hulk replied. Savage got up, and dusted himself off. "Well that was a nice warm up. Let's get serious." Hulk leaped at Savage, but was stopped mid air by Savage using Force's telekinetic powers. "Let's see how much punishment you can take." Savage unleashed a punch on Hulk that sent the beast flying through a wall. Hulk easily got back up. "Is that the best you can do?"

"No. How about some simple math. What do you get when you combine Special Guy's and Flash's speed with Special Guy's super strength with a fist wrapped in one of Invisister's force fields?" Savage asked with his right hand surrounded in a force field sphere. "Jamey?" Hulk asked Jamey, a little concered. "To put it simply Hulk. One mean punch." Jamey replied bluntly as Savage charged at Hulk with his ultra speed and delivered a punch so powerful it sent Hulk through several walls. "Bet that didn't tickle." Savage chuckled. Hulk rubbed her chin. "That didn't hurt at all." Jamey snapped back. "What are you talking about! That hurt! A lot!" Hulk grunted at Jamey's voice. "Shut up, I don't want him to know that." Hulk replied. "As much fun as it has been messing around with you, I have other things to do today." Savage commentedas he sped over to Hulk with his ultra speed and placed his hands above Hulk's ears, he then unleashed a powerful sonic blast that caused Hulk to scream in pain. When Savage stopped, Hulk passed out, transforming back into Jamey. "Hulk! Hulk! Are you okay!?" Jamey shouted but got know reply. "I don't believe it. You knocked out the Hulk."

"It seems you have another personality. Or better put. "had" another personality." Savage commented. "I was not expecting him to be this powerful." Jamey commented. Savage then began to telekinetically choke and levitate Jamey off the ground. "You've been a thorn in my side for too long Jamey. It was fun but all things must come to an end." Before Savage could snap Jamey's neck he was blasted back by a bolt of electricity. "Need some help." Nick said running to Jamey with Brent, Megan, and Elky. "Definitely." Jamey replied, trying to breathe. "What's going on?" Brent asked. Jamey tried to explain the situation to the teens. "Savage has absorbed the life energy of basically all the heroes and villains basically becoming some kind of…"

"Super Savage!" Elky interrupted. "Yes." Jamey agreed. "We need to hold him off for as long as we can." Megan looked panicked at that still not used to this whole super power thing. "Why?" Megan asked. "You see…" Jamey was interrupted by Savage speeding into the room. "I see the experiments have escaped their cages." He commented. "Explanations later." Nick shouted, firing a bolt of electricity at Savage which managed to stun the villain. Savage created a force field to protect himself; he then fired a sonic blast at Nick that sent the teen hard into a wall, knocking her out. Brent armored up and charged at Savage. He threw several punches at him, Savage easily dodged him. Savage then gave Brent two solid punches that sent the boy back, he then grabbed Brent's head and dragged him through the ground breaking it apart before throwing him into the wall. Brent struggled to get up. Savage fired a sonic blast that sent Brent through the wall, knocking him out. While he was distracted Megan used her stretchy powers to wrap herself around Savage who then used a force field dome to expand Megan away from him. He then released the force field, firing an ice beam that froze the girl. "Well that didn't last long." Elky commented. Jamey wasn't listening to Elky, she was counting down to something. "10, 9, 8, 7, 6." Elky noticed that the girl was distracted. "What are you doing! Savage's going to kill us!" Elky shouted. "Right you are." Savage ultra sped to them, grabbing them both by their necks. "It's over for you Jamey. Any last words?" Jamey replied. "One." Instantly Savage dropped the two teens. "W-What's happening to me?" Jamey immediately punched Savage in the face which sent the old man back. "That was therapeutic." Jamey said, rubbing her fist feeling like she broke her hand. "You see all that power you just got. It's going back to its rightful owners."

"How!? But the serum." Savage said not understanding where his plan went wrong. "Come on General. I was never hypnotized. You honestly think that I would've permanently given you all that power." Savage shook his head angrly. "But Martha…" Jamey interrupted his little tantrum. "Maybe an okay scientist but she's not really all that good at chemistry. All I needed to do was mess around with the ingredients a little and voila the serum doesn't work anymore. And since Monica's powers have a return to sender policy and since you're not actually Monica the powers you gained were not only temporary but would leave you a lot faster than they would her. And to put more salt on the wound remember when your computers were flashing red a couple of minutes ago, well I got these guys over there to put a virus in your central computer corrupting and deleting all your files." Savage was finally understanding the severity ofhis loss. "You mean…" Jamey interrupted again. "Everything you've gathered digitally over the last decade. And to add even more salt on the wound, all the data you had on the location of the Reality Stones is gone. I've also successfully decrypted the files I stole from you and have given them to every government on the planet. The operatives you hid have been exposed. Your many base locations revealed, basically speaking you have nothing left."

"I-I can't. I can't believe it!"Savage was shaking in anger. "Believe what? That I a 17 year old girl completely out smarted and out played you a 50,000 year old man." Savage instantly broke down and began hitting the ground. "No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! This can't be happening to me! I was so close! I won! NOOOOOOOOOOO!" Jamey smirked. "It's such a shame when villains can't take losing like good sports." Jamey let out a chuckle at the villain's dismay. "I swear you'll pay for this Neutron! You'll pay with your life! GET ME OUT OF HERE!" Savage shouted. At that moment Sinister Guy raced into the room and escaped with Savage. Nate had regained consciousness and grabbed Martha, escaping with her. "What do we do now?" Elky asked. "Wake these three up, free our friends, and get out of here." Jamey answered. "What about the remaining guards?" Elky asked. "I'll take them if they bother us." Jamey heard a voice in her head. "Oh, I see your back." Jamey said to Hulk. "Who's back?" Elky asked. "Oh this is kinda hard to explain. You see, after I transformed into that monster…" But Elky cut in. "Oh I get it now. You two somehow separated from one another then you figured out how to remerge now you guys have some kind of symbiotic relationship sharing one body. And you can hear each other but only through your thoughts right." Elky explained. "Wow. That's actually correct. How did you…"

"I've read a lot of comic books, Jamey. This kind of thing happens a lot." They were about to get the others help and free the rest when they heard someone approaching. Jamey was ready to turn back into the Hulk when they saw that it was AJ who was stumbling in but something felt off about him. Jamey held off on changing into the Hulk wanting to see what was wrong first. "Jamey?" AJ said, regaining his consciousness he ran up and hugged Jamey, but due to his metal upgrades he didn't realize his own strength and started to crush her. "AJ can't breathe." Jamey was barely able to get the words out before AJ let go of her before asking her questions trying to catch up from the past year since the accident before all his memories fludding into his head at once. Stepping back and grabbing his head screaming, Jamey tried helping him, but he didn't want anything to do with her. AJ was beginning to remember everything about how he sacrificed himself to save her and how he was forced into this new horrible exhistance because of her. Savage did this to him to get back at her. She was responsible for all the pain he has been through in the past year. Elky watched this interaction and had a very bad feeling that this was not going to end well. "You did this to me!" AJ yelled at her, swiping her hand away causing her to break and leaving her confused and in pain. "What are you talking about, you know that I didn't do this to you." Jamey was offended about the accusation; how could he blame her for this? "General Vortex only did this to me because he wanted to get back at you! So yes this is all your fault." Jamey wanted to cry but she was tired crying over this boy who used to be the man that she loved. "Jamey I loved you I did. But everything I've been through and after everything you've been through we are two different people then we were a year ago. Also how could I be with a monster like you. I saw you transform a few minutes ago. I know what you did. And I know that you aren't the girl I fell in love with. I think we just need to leave sleeping dogs lie." AJ finished before walking away. Jamey was doing the best she could to not cry when Elky ran over and hugged the girl. "You deserve better than that." Elky told her. "We could break him in two. Show him how it really feels to have a broken heart."

"I'm not going to do that." Jamey replied, but Elky was defending her remark. "I wasn't saying you should do anything just that you deserve better than to be with someone who only makes you cry." Elky added. "No! I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to her, but thank you I really needed to hear that. More than you could know." Jamey tried to explain. "Is it because you have a crush on the blonde one?" Hulk said, trying to make Jamey smile. "Is this what it's going to be like for us from now on?" Jamey asked with a slight blush. "You're the one who wanted to remerge, not me." Hulk teased. "Aghh!" Jamey groaned, smacking her head before realizing that her wrist was now fractured. Elky saw this and gently grabbed her wrist to inspect it. "Jamey we need to get you in a pod and…" But Jamey waved the girl off. "What pod? The ones in my lab are gone, the ones here are dead due to the EMP, and we are too far from the base. I'll need medical attension as soon as we get back though." Elky just shook her head. She found some turn fabric and a piece of wood that was broken during the fight and made a makeshift splint for Jamey until she could get it properly looked at. Jamey looked at the girl with a thankful smile.

An hour later with little to no disturbance from the soldiers who had fled the compound the moment the systems crashed. The heroes, villains and Savage's children were all recovered, filled in on the events that have happened that they may have missed, and are prepared to leave the base. "I would say thank you. But that's against my style." Shawn said to Jamey who was trying to discreetly hold her wrist. "No problem." Jamey replied. "So what do we do now? Duke it out." Force asked. "I think we've all had enough fighting for one day. Why don't we just call it a temporary truce." Jamey said. "Agreed." Max said. "What are you going to do now?" Sid asked him. "I think I need to do some soul searching. Be seeing you around bro." Max said before teleporting away. "You know you don't have to go." Libby said to Shawn. "Yes I do. This feud between Estevez and me isn't over." Shawn replied, igniting his hands. "The next time we see each other Sheen will be the last time." He said before flying off with Sarah, Force holding Monica and Hypno following him. "And I'll be ready." Sheen replied. "Let's go home. This has been an exhausting day." Libby groaned. "First I wanted to apologize to all of you." Jamey said, stepping ahead of everyone. "Nick, Megan, and Brent. I'm sorry that I made you all mutants without your consent. Sheen and Carl. I'm sorry I made you both keep my secrets. It wasn't fair to do that to you. Libby I'm sorry I kept you out of the loop. You've been a part of this team longer than Sheen or Carl. It wasn't fair that you were left out. And Sid I'm sorry that I kept your father's secret from you. I know it was wrong. I just needed to gather enough evidence so you'd believe me when I told you. I also had to make sure you weren't working with him. I'm just sorry." Everyone just looked at her with understanding. "Look dude you were just looking out for everyone. We understand. " Sheen commented. "Yeah, we know you weren't being malicious." Carl agreed. "I may not be happy about being left out but you got me this far Neutron, I'm not going to drop you just yet." Libby commented while giving her friend a hug. "Dude you gave me superpowers as far as I'm concerned we're cool." Nick commented. "She's right. This is really dope." Brent agreed. "I may not have been a fan to begin with but I must really tell you stretching around is really fun." Megan agreed with a giggle.

Sid remained silent and walked straight to Jamey. Everyone remained silent in anticipation of what he might do or say. "Sid." Jamey said. Sid punched Jamey in her shoulder knocking her to the ground landing on her fractured wrist that Elky had wrapped. "Okay, I deserve that!" Jamey groaned and grunted at the pain that was shooting through her, trying to get back up. Elky had rushed past Sid and helped Jamey up and checked her wrist. Everyone really was seeing just how injured Jamey was. Even though she has great healing powers from her mutation it will always take much longer if she has been disconnected from her powers for an extended period of time since that part of her powers are mainly focusing on trying to maintain mental stability of having multiple personalities in her head. At this point Elky had gone back to Carl after seeing that Jamey had not gained further injury. Sid started to walk back up to Jamey. It looked like Sid was about to hit again, and Elky was ready to step in, but he instead hugged her. "I'm mad at you but I'm just glad you're okay!" He said as he began to cry as Jamey held him while hugging Sid back.

Retroville

Everyone went back to their homes. Sheen met up with his father, grandmother, brother, and sister and hugged them. Libby met up with her parents and hugged them. Nick met up with her mother and hugged her. Brent met with his uncle and hugged him. Megan met with her Dads and hugged them. Elky met up with her parents and hugged them. Jamey and Carl met up with Brett and their moms and hugged them. Sid unfortunately told his mother the news and held her as she cried.

Military Base

The next day, the N-Men, Brett, Nick, Brent, Megan, and Elky were in a meeting with the council. Jamey had to get a cast for her wrist and bandages for the scrape marks on her face, along with some wrappings around her torso for the broken rib. To be honest she looked like hell and her jaw was still very swollen and bruised. Now she and the others were standing in front of the military government. "Well Dr Neutron, haven't you put us in quite the predicament?" One of the General's commented. "Yes. In the last twenty four hours we have arrested eight politicians, dozens of police officers, many military, navy and air force officers. It's complete…" Jamey inwardly groaned at each word the General punctuated. "We get it, it's bad. But as you know it's not my fault. So why did you drag us here?" Jamey interpreted. "We just wanted to tell you that you've been exonerated of all your crimes." Jamey didn't want to look a gift horse in the mouth but she was hesitant to ask. "Even the stuff that happened with Hulk?" Jamey asked. "Yes. Since you leaked the footage of General Vortex… I mean Savage shooting you and that having a direct link to your transformation yes." Jamey was beyond relieved with eyes shining from unshed tears. "Don't worry, only you guys saw that. So are we done here." Everyone else who had seen the video had still yet to tell Jamey about it. That was a secret they all swore to take that secret to their graves.

"Exonerating you wasn't the only reason we called you here. Your Nickol Dean correct?" One of the Generals said to Nick. "There is someone here who wants to meet you." At that moment a tall bald African American man walked in. "Nick Dean I am commander Nigel Baker. I am the head of an organization called Big Top Secret Organization (BTSO) and I need your help." With a snicker Libby muttered. "Their organization is called the Big Top Secret Organization. That's a little on the nose." But her comment did not go unheard.. "Exactly." Commander Baker replied. "What do you need from me?" Nick asked. "You see you were led to believe that your father Nolan Dean died from the Neutron Chamber explosion. That is not true." Nick's heart froze. "What?" She said surprised. "He's an agent that works for us. He goes by the name Jet Fusion." No one but Jamey had heard of that name before. "Jet Fusion! As in the legendary spy Jet Fusion! He's like my hero!" Jamey said in excitement. "My Dad's a spy." Nick said still unable to process the information she was told. "I am so jealous." Jamey commented. "You see, he needed to go on a deep cover mission for months, possibly even years. We lost touch with him a few weeks ago." Nick was trying to process everything. "What was he doing?" Nick asked. "I can't disclose that to you yet. But I have an offer: if you join my organization and help me find your father you will know everything."

"I don't know what to say." Nick said troubled by the news. "Nick, let's talk outside." Sid suggested grabbing Nick's hand, dragging her out. "Sid, I don't know what to do." But Sid did. "Nick, you have to go." Nick looked at the ground shaking her head. "Why should I? My father obviously thought his job was better than his family." Nick said bitterly. "You don't know that. And you'll never find out if you don't go. Take it from me. It's better to know than to live in ignorance. " Nick then grabbed Sid's hand. "What about us? I don't know how long I'll be gone and it's not fair for me to ask you to wait for me." Sid explained. "Then we'll take a break. When your mission's done and if we're both single we'll pick up where we left off." Nick said, trying to find a reason to stay. "But I can't just go when you're dealing with all this stuff." Sid shook his head. "Nick, you'll never forgive yourself if you don't take this opportunity. I still have others to be my support system and I will not be the reason you get your own emotional closure." Nick looked lovingly in Sid's eyes. "What did I ever do to deserve you." Sid smiled at Nick. "You asked me out." Sid and Nick embraced each other in a passionate kiss before returning back to the room. "Commander Baker. I'll do it." Nick agreed. "Excellent. I was also wondering if Mr. Jones, Brent and Miss Connors, Megan would be interested as well. I could use agents with your abilities."

"Really! I'm in!" Brent shouted in excitement. "I don't know." Megan said, looking at Libby. "I'm not going to tell you what to do Meg. But if you want redemption, this might be the best place to start." Libby said. "Then I'm in." Megan agreed. "That's great. Get ready for the next phase of your life." Commander Baker smiled. "Dr Neutron, I'll contact you later about these three." Jamey nodded her head. "I'll send you all the data you need." She replied. Brent, Nick, and Sid hugged. "I feel kinda bad leaving you here." Brent commented. "Don't. Just make sure you kick butt." Sid replied. "Ahh… Sid…" Nick tried to say. "We already said what we needed to say. I hope you find what you're looking for." Sid said. "Good luck Meg." Libby said. "To tell you the truth I'm actually quite scared." Libby looked firmly in Meg's eyes. "Don't be. You'll do fine." Nick, Brent, and Megan left their friends and went to Baker. "Are you kids ready for the adventure of a lifetime?" Everyone nodded. Baker left with the group. Carl turned to those who were left in the room. "So what now?" Carl asked. "We focus on our mission." Sid commented. "We defeat Savage." Jamey declared.

Unknown Location

Savage, Martha, Nate, and Sinister Guy were near a shore. Savage was desperately digging the ground. "Father… I mean Master. Are you sure you want to do this?" Martha asked very concerned about her Dad. "I have nothing left. This is the only option." Savage replied, digging up an amulet. "That isn't?" Martha asked. "It is. The mystical artifact the sorcerer Vexus used." Nate was confused at what was happening. "What are you going to do with that?" He asked. Savage thought about the last time he touched the amulet.

Flashback

Vexus was sleeping. Savage was in service to him for months. Savage quickly stole Vexus's amulet and tried to use it against him. "Why is this not working?" Savage said in a dead language. "So you finally decided to try and take it." Vexus commented telekinetically, pulling the amulet back to his hand. Vexus then began to telekinetically choke Savage, raising him into the air. "Let me educate you animal. Only one person at a time can use this amulet. And even if I wasn't around you couldn't use it anyway. You see when you activate this amulet you summon a chaos spirit named Astral. He will want payment for giving anyone such power." Savage did not know this. "What kind of payment?" Savage gasped. "Your most precious possession. It could be anything. A person, a thing as long as it is what you consider the most precious." Vexus dropped Savage. "Don't ever try that again." A little down the road Savage fished the amulet out of the ocean but chose to bury it and return if he ever needed it.

Flashback ends

"It's finally my time." Savage said to himself. He activated the amulet. The sky turned red, a strong wind began to form and energy revealed itself to Savage."Why have you summoned me?" Astral asked. "I wish to have the power of the chaos amulet." Savage replied. "What do you have as payment?" Savage spoke in a booming voice. "I will sacrifice the thing I love most." Martha began to shake thinking it was her. "My immortality."

"The payment is acceptable." Astral replied. Astral stretched his arm and pierced Savage's heart and pulled out a blue energy source. "Your transformation will begin shortly." Astral smiled. Astral then fired an energy beam at Savage. Which caused the villain to scream in pain. "You will use the power of the amulet to cause untold mayhem." Astral shouted as Savage's skin became very. "Yes." Savage answered. "You will use the power of the amulet to find the reality stones and achieve godhood!" Astral shouted as the pupils of Savage's eyes became black and his iris became red. "Yes." Savage shouted. "I won't rest until I have orchestrated the complete and utter destruction of JAMEY NEUTRON!" Savage shouted, revealing his new form to the others causing them all to back away in fear.

Unknown Location

A portal opened up in the sky. A boy flew out of it and landed on the ground. The boy stood up revealing himself to be a brown haired, blue eyed, buck toothed boy.

At the Neutron-Wheezer House

Jamey's moms were so happy to have both of their children back home. Carl did not know that they had helped or that they are fellow geniuses because they never wanted Carl to ever once feel out of place. Their family had a talk about keeping the powers secret from them before leaving the siblings to watch a movie in the living room. When they finished popping the popcorn they heard a knock at the door; Jamey didn't want to get up; she actually just wanted to stay on the sofa and never move again. Truth was she was heartbroken that the boy she loved just brutally broke up with her. When Carl went to open the door it revealed Elky, Sheen, Libby, and Sid coming in with pizza and sodas. Jamey was confused by this. "What are you doing here?" Jamey asked. "Come on girl we are friends and you are going through the world's weirdest breakup. We are here for you." Libby started holding out some Purple Flurts. Jamey couldn't help but smile a bit as Libby set the drinks down and gently hugged her best friend. "Also you're not the only one going through a breakup, move over." Sid said, sitting next to Jamey taking the popcorn, he put an arm around her being careful of her bruised shoulder and face and her broken wrist and rib. He allowed her to adjust until she was comfortable and rested her head on him. Everyone saw this and gave them a weary smile that the couple missed. Everyone just sat in the living room ready to start the movie, Sheen sat on the other end of the sofa already eating pizza he brought, leaving Carl and Elky to snuggle with each other in the middle. "Thanks." Jamey quietly said. "Don't mention it. It was all Elky's idea." Sheen stated with his mouth full. Jamey just turned her head to the girl and mouthed thank you. Elky just nodded before putting her head on Carl's shoulder.

"So what are we watching?" Libby asked, grabbing a blanket and wrapping herself in it before sitting next to Sheen who put an arm around her. "The Leech Woman." Jamey said before pressing play. Carl whispered in Elky's ear. "Thank you for doing this for her. She really needed this even if she won't admit it." Elky just gave him a kiss on the cheek. She felt down at the fact she'll never be a mutant but tonight was about Jamey. "No problem. I think tonight we all need to hit pause on life before letting everything that's happened hit us tomorrow." Carl just smiled at her and held her closer. They all just watched the classic movie and ignored life for two hours before heading home, going to bed, and waking up to the cruel bits of reality waiting for them. But until then they were just a group of friends watching an old movie and enjoying their time together.

From the kitchen Judy and Martha saw that their children were hanging out and being supported by their friends and they knew that their kids were going to be just fine. The two went to bed leaving the teens to their food and movies and that night they were not an abnormal family who were filled with powered friends, geniuses, and fighting bad guys. Instead they just were friends and family dealing with an all too normal pain of heartbreak and the comfort that comes from being around those you love. Tomorrow they can deal with the repercussions of the days or the past years events.

We have just finished the original fanfics season one I hope you enjoyed. Also I want to add that coming into the season two of this fanfic we will come to more changes that will be made some more obvious than others but when the time comes they will be explained completely.
