Chapter Three
Frustrated
Even as they finished in the shower and got ready to go out to the living room where Antonio was waiting for the both of them, Matt could still tell that his wife was thinking about the fact that they were interrupted by her brother, which was probably why she was currently struggling a bit with doing up the strings on her bikini bottom. Yes, Matt and Gabby have decided that they're going to go out for a bit so that they can just get out of their room and stop thinking about what just happened, which makes a lot of sense in Matt's opinion, as it means that they can get some fresh air too. Heaven knows that Gabby needs it after what happened to them this morning. Well, that, and she needs him to help her, which is precisely why he's currently on his way into the washroom while wearing his swim trunks and a tank top, so that he can help his wife and make sure that she breathes ahead of the both of them going out to talk to her brother. Well, more like yell at her brother based on the body language that he saw his wife had on her body right now.
And damn does his wife have a body. She looks so damn sexy in this body, and just in general if he's being completely honest; and even better, she's giving him the best distraction possible as he's yet to think about the tragedy that he's had to deal with in the past couple weeks since they got married. He's only been thinking about her, which is a good thing. But one thing that isn't a good thing, is him just standing around, and staring at her as he stood at the door when he could instead be helping her with her bikini like a good husband does. I mean, doesn't he want to do that for her? Plus, it would mean that he gets another chance to put his hands on her body, which is something that Matt really enjoyed doing both this morning in bed and in the shower just now. So, why is he delaying that he ultimately plans on doing for her? Why isn't he in here with her, helping her with her bikini? Well, there's only one way to find out, which would be to ask him. "Why are you being such a creep right now?" Snickering as he heard Gabby say that, Matt walked in.
He finally walked into the bathroom so that he can help his wife with her bikini, which is something that he probably should've done sooner based on the tone that he just got from his wife. So much so, Gabby felt like she needed to apologize for that. "Sorry, I didn't mean to use that tone." Shaking his head as he walked up to his wife in his swim trunks and tank top, Matt smiled as he went to calm her down. "Hey, take a breath Gabby and relax." Walking up behind his wife afterwards, Matt smiled as he went ahead and proceeded to help her, which is probably what he should've done in the first place. "Sorry I didn't help you sooner, I guess we're just figuring this all out at the same time." Gabby agreed with Matt, as that most certainly is exactly what they're in the midst of doing; they're figuring things out as they go, which is precisely what they need to do. They need to take their time, as they figure things out. "It's okay. Anyways, it's probably weird for you right now." Confused, Matt backed up from Gabby a bit after he was done with her bikini bottom.
After all, why would it be weird for him? Well, there's only one way to find out and that would be to ask. "How so?" Turning around to face her husband, Gabby smiled as she looked at him. "I would have to say it was due to the fact that your late fiancé just died." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before taking a breath. "Truth time?" Gabby agreed with Matt, nodding. "Always." Stepping close to Gabby, Matt placed his hands on her hips as he brought her body against his chest. "Things were not all good in between me and Hallie. Things were tense and I was not happy whatsoever. I thought that her being away would change things, but I think it just made things worse as we really realized that we didn't want to be together." Placing her hand on the side of her husband's face, Gabby felt horrible for the man she loves. After which, she placed her hands on his chest and leaned up to kiss him softly. "I'm sorry Matt." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, clearly able to see that she means it. "I know, such a waste of time." Gabby shook her head.
After all, nothing is a waste of time if it opens your eyes. "Or, you can look at it a different way." Matt was confused again, so he decided to ask his wife to clarify for him. "What are you talking about?" Gabby smiled as she wrapped her arms around his back. "Well, maybe this is what you needed to figure out that Hallie really wasn't for you." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that. "Oh, and you are?" Gabby agreed with Matt, leaning in before kissing him softly. "Well, you are my husband now." Matt agreed. "So said Elvis." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, as that was quite funny. "Well, now that was funny." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that. "Oh, so you thought that was funny?" Gabby agreed with Matt, smiling as she leaned up and kissed him softly once more, because she most certainly did find it funny. "You are a very funny man Matt." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, while also placing his hand on the side of her face. "And now, I'm your man." Gabby agreed with Matt as she stepped closer to him.
At the same time, she wrapped her arms around his back and leaned up to kiss his neck softly. "Oh yes I am." Wrapping his arms around Gabby's waist, Matt smirked as he turned his head and looked down at his gorgeous wife. After which, he bent down and proceeded to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves. The woman he has strong feelings for and is incredibly happy to be married to. "God, you are so damn sexy." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, clearly able to tell just how much he likes the feeling of her being close to him. "Let me guess, you like the feeling of me close to you?" Matt agreed. "So much so, that we would probably be in bed with each other again if we were alone in our hotel room." Matt then proceeded to place his hand on the side of her neck, before kissing her softly as they both took things nice and slow with each other this morning. And damn was this perfect. It truly was exactly what the both of them wanted at the moment, as it made them incredibly happy right now.
It made them happy due to the fact that they had each other, and they were being very sexy and affectionate with each other; even though they also knew that they had company. And that was when they both heard said company. "HEY GABBY! I ordered you guys some pancakes, charged it to my room. My treat." Matt snickered as he heard Antonio say that, as that was a lie. "Yeah, sure he did." Gabby just looked up at Matt. "What are you talking about? My brother wouldn't lie about charging it to his room. Be grateful, he's paying for breakfast." Matt shook his head. "He charged it to his room, which I booked for him using my credit card. And that means that…" Gabby then realized that. "We're paying for breakfast." Matt agreed with Gabby. "By the way, remind me to get you all of your own credit cards and everything." Gabby was confused. "What? My wife gets to have the Amex so that she can spoil herself." Gabby smirked as she heard Matt say that. "Don't let Shay hear that, as we might go to Rodeo Dr." Matt laughed as Gabby said that.
After which, he grabbed her hand. "If my wife wants to go get herself some dresses for when I take her to events, then go ahead." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that. "Uhm, quick question. Are we going to tell the company…" Matt agreed. "Hey, of course we are. We're going to tell the whole world that we're married. You are my wife, and you will be for a long time. I can't explain it, but I feel like this was supposed to have happened." Gabby agreed with Matt, as she feels the same way. "I feel the same way, and I am so glad that's how you feel Matt." Smiling, Matt placed his hand on his wife's neck again before taking things nice and slow with his gorgeous wife. "Damn, you are so sexy." Gabby laughed, smiling as she took a moment to take things nice and slow with her husband ahead of going out so that she can see her brother this morning. After all, this is going to be their last moment of privacy until they come back to bed later. "Oh, just curious. We still leaving tomorrow?" Matt smiled. "Let's talk about it together." Gabby was surprised.
After all, she thought he would make the decision. "Matt, it's your choice." Matt shook his head as he grabbed Gabby's hand and intertwined their fingers. "You're my wife. We make decisions together now babe." Gabby agreed with Matt, as that was something she actually likes the sound of. The two of them making decisions together. "I actually really like the sound of that." Matt agreed, smiling as he leaned in and kissed his wife softly. "I had a feeling you would." Gabby nodded, smiling as she got close to her husband and wrapped her arms around him as a way to held him close; meanwhile, Matt did the same thing…while also kissing her forehead softly. Meanwhile, Gabby looked up at her husband. "Just curious, did you mean it when you said that I can get a replacement?" Matt agreed. "I don't want my wife to be my PA forever. Let's just not rock the boat too fast. We need to figure out how to tell the company first that we're married. Plus, it'll be a huge change at the company." Gabby was confused, as she didn't understand that.
After all, what is her husband talking about? "Ok. I'm lost." Matt sighed. "I know you're good friends with Stella Kidd." Gabby agreed with her husband. "She's a designer, you were just a PA. That's a huge change. I mean, you're technically her boss by association as my wife and a co-owner of the company. I mean, let's first think about the dynamics of our relationships before we think about work, okay?" Gabby agreed with her husband, as he is very smart. "And that's why they call you a genius in business." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, smiling as he leaned in and kissed her softly. "Thanks babe." Gabby agreed with Matt as she wrapped her arms around his back and smiled as she took things nice and slow with the man she loves. "I love you." Matt agreed with Gabby as he wrapped his arms around her waist, taking things nice and slow with his beautiful wife as they spent one last minute alone with each other ahead of them going out and spending some time with his head of security/new brother-in-law Antonio.
Walking out of the bedroom hand-in-hand, Matt, and Gabby both smiled as they made their way out to see Antonio sitting on the couch with the breakfast menu. "I swear, there are so many other options on here that I don't get in my suite." Matt snickered. "Yeah, that's due to the fact that this is a VIP suite. Speaking of which, did not appreciate you walking in on us." Looking up at his boss, he then watched as Gabby turned to face him. "Matt, can I talk to him about that?" Matt agreed as he let Gabby go, who soon walked over to her brother to hug him. "I just want a morning hug, not happy that you interrupted us this morning." Antonio just looked at his sister. "In my defence, I didn't know you were here." Matt just looked at his head of security. "Ok. Then that means that it's ok for you to do that as my head of security?" Antonio got nervous as he heard Matt say that, as he knew that he wasn't in a winning situation here. "Yeah, this is not going to turn out pretty for me, is it?" Gabby shook her head, as it most certainly wasn't.
I mean, why would it turn out pretty if he just walked in on his boss. "I mean, what you did was pretty horrible Antonio." Antonio agreed with his sister, hugging her again before going to walk over to his boss. After which, he shook his hand. "Welcome to the family." Matt agreed with Antonio, while getting close to him and hugging him, which prompted Antonio to whisper to him. "I don't care if you're my boss. You hurt my baby sister, I hurt you. And remember, I can do that very easily as your head of security." Matt just leaned back and looked at Antonio. "Did you really just threaten the man who put in a VIP suite? Hell, I could put you in a normal suite. Oh, and the guy who supports your family." Antonio gulped, as that was the truth. "Antonio, you know me. You know that I will not break your sister's heart. And if I did, she could take me on easily before you need to do anything to defend her." Gabby laughed, as that most certainly is the truth. "Tell me about it." Gabby then made her way back over to her husband.
Wrapping her arms around him, Gabby smiled as she cuddled up to him and just held him close; while Matt wrapped his arm around her back and bent down to kiss the top of her head as they both held each other close. "Comfortable here in my arms?" Gabby agreed with Matt, as she most certainly is comfortable here in his arms. So much so, that she looked up at him to tell him that. "Don't you know it." Matt agreed, smiling as he bent down and kissed the woman he's crazy for. "Good, now how about we both go sit down and just take it easy before your brother's glare gets any more intense at me." Antonio laughed, before going to sit down on one of the couches. "I hope you know that I expect details." Gabby agreed with her brother as she went to sit on the couch, while Matt walked away, which isn't something that Antonio wanted. "Not so fast mister, sit your ass down." Turning his head, Matt looked at Antonio. "I need caffeine, and my caffeine is over there." Antonio realized that, nodding as he watched him walk away.
Meanwhile, Gabby decided to ask her husband for a coffee for a change. "Hey, can you get me a coffee for a change Matt?" Turning to face his wife, Matt snickered as that was funny. "Okay, now that's funny." However, Antonio didn't understand why that was funny. "Ok. Not getting how that's funny?" Gabby just looked at her brother, while shaking her head due to the fact that he's hopeless at times. "Gee, last time I checked; him his personal assistant at work. And that means that I get him coffee most of the time." Antonio then realized that, nodding since that was the truth. "Yeah, I can see that now." Gabby just shook her head while getting up and then going to slap her brother on the noggin. "Wake up Toni. Remember, you're here to protect us." Antonio laughed as he heard his sister tell him that, well aware that was the case. "Well, that, and maybe ask for a bonus if Matt's your husband." Turning around to face his brother-in-law Matt was shocked. "Here's your bonus. You're in Vegas at Caesars Palace. One of the best hotels on the strip."
Antonio agreed with his boss as he said that, as that most certainly is the truth. "Yeah, that makes sense." Matt then added on. "And I gave you a $1,000 gambling allowance." Antonio laughed. "Yeah, I am not going gambling." Gabby was confused as she heard her brother say that. "Why not?" Antonio just looked at his sister. "$1,000 is almost 5 weeks of groceries for our family!" Turning her head, Gabby looked at her husband; something that Matt already knew she was doing. "Don't worry, I'm not going to let them go broke Gabby, I promise. That's something that I can promise you as your husband." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, smiling due to the fact that it makes her very happy that he isn't going to let her family go hungry (it's the least he can do). I mean, not that he wants to make her brother mad. "I mean, as long as your brother agrees not to barge in on us again." Antonio put his hands up, agreeing with his boss as he said that as that was something that he can do. "Well, that most certainly is something that I can do."
Matt smiled as he agreed with Antonio. "Plus, who knows if I'm even going to stay on your detail anymore." Matt was confused. "Why wouldn't you stay on my detail?" Antonio laughed. "Ok. Then that means that your brother-in-law gets to tag along to every single vacation that you take my sister on." Turning her head, Gabby glared at her husband as that was the last thing that she wanted. If she was on vacation with her husband, then she doesn't want to have her brother there to bug them. "Oh, hell no. I'm sorry, I may not be your boss directly; but when we're back in Chicago, then no way are you staying on security." Matt then proceeded to add on. "Actually, our next stop is Los Angeles. Thursday, my sister is opening up a new factory for Casey Apparel in Glendale. We're going to be staying at our place in Hidden Hills." Antonio agreed with his boss as he said that. "Oh, update from the advance team. Jay is making sure that the cameras are all up to date and we are just planning the route. We are thinking you can land at Van Nuys."
Matt agreed with Antonio as he said that, before starting the three of them some coffee. "Three coffees, right?" Gabby agreed. "Thanks Matt." Matt smiled, agreeing with his wife and just smiling at her as he gets ready to bring over their coffees. "By the way Antonio, I may work out of the Los Angeles office for a bit. Is that okay with you?" Antonio bit his lip. "Uhm, I was hoping to go back and see my kids. We're starting summer soon." Matt smiled. "Antonio, call your wife and tell her to pack your bags. I'll fly them here, and then we can go to Los Angeles together." Gabby and Antonio where both shocked as they head Matt say that. "What? Do you mean that Matt?" Matt agreed with Antonio and Gabby, as that was what they wanted to do. "Plus, I would love to meet my niece and nephew." Giving Antonio his coffee, Matt smiled at him before walking over to his wife with their coffees. "Here." Gabby agreed as she proceeded to grab her coffee from him. After which, Matt sat down next to his wife and wrapped his arm around her.
Meanwhile, Antonio smiled at the happy couple as they looked quite adorable together. "Well, I can see that you guys are already happy with each other." Gabby agreed, smiling as she most certainly was. "I most certainly am." Turning her head, she smirked as she looked at her new husband while kissing him softly. "Can't wait to see our place in LA." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, smiling as he kissed her again before going to drink his coffee ahead of the two of them having breakfast together.
