CHAPTER 34
Charles walks into his hotel room, two or three more days tops and he would be leaving for Hope Valley. He has just come back from a big meeting, with a superintendent, Andrew Hargraves, a very well known mountie, but who Charles discovered, that this mountie could help him for a certain amount of money. Hargraves did not like Jack Thorton, he thought that everything he had achieved in his profession was due to the fame of his father, Tomas Thorton.
Hargraves, saw that boy, still small; he didn't even know how to wash his own ears, besides his brother Tom's stink, those little pests, always got in his way, when he tried to conquer Charlotte. It was difficult to approach her, but using the mountie honor code, she ended up allowing it, after all I was her husband's partner;
Hargraves, until today, couldn't settle for not having conquered her, his fight for her, all he had to do and in the end Bill Avery, managed to prove some of his illegal negotiations, and transferred him to the end of the world. It was years and years of hard service. Places that had no communication and where a blink of an eye could cost you your life. But he had a strong surname among the mountie, and of course he even tampered with some of his documents while he took advantage of those years to abuse his power, in those lands that no one belonged to... the Indians and the daughters of farmers, they were very hot , and beyond all riches and more riches that he's been conquering there with the illegal trade in weapons and wyske. But Hargraves, always wanted something, or rather someone, and now with Charles, he would have the chance to partner up and win his biggest prize. He told Charles, his history with the Thortons and what he wanted in payment besides money, and that it would be with greater pleasure, that he would help him destroy Jack Thorton, because that was his greatest desire, of course, besides wanting Charlotte Thorton to him as a gift.
Charles, went back to the hotel running, he had plans for that time, and went straight up to his room without making any noise, he looked around and noticed the beautiful waitress making his bed, she had not even noticed his presence. Charles locked the door, removed his shirt and pants and, coming up behind the woman, grabbed her by the waist. She struggled, but Charles was too strong, and he knew how to silence her screams and gagged her; he was throwing the girl on the bed, and there he did what he wanted with her. It was good hours of pleasure, and the more she struggled, the more Charles enjoyed it. He always liked that, showing who was boss. Demonstrate who he was, and he was the man of the room. When he was satisfied, he got dressed, looked into her eyes, she was crying incessantly, and taking a note from his wallet, he put it in his lab coat that was on the floor, and warned that if she told anyone, she would never get a job again or see her family. That she should leave the room laughing, because in addition to the good tip she had just earned, she had the chance to be with a man like him, a man of great society, and that alone was a great privilege for a simple waitress.
That young woman, it was Malyn, worked as a waitress and did odd jobs at that hotel as a chambermaid, she needed money, as she took care of her two little sisters alone, since her parents had died months ago. She never, in her life, imagined that something like this could happen to her. Her body, now, was all bruised and sore, and she felt dirty...
