A/N 1: Last Chapter Chuck and Sarah get together with his family. Emma and Molly now enter the scene.

A/N 2 Still don't own Chuck

ooooooooooooooooooooo

As they finish cleaning up after breakfast, since Mary cooked, Sarah catches Chuck's attention. "Sweetie, can I talk to you, in your room, about something?"

Chuck folds up his drying towel and lays it on the counter. "Sure, Love. What do you want to talk about?"

Sarah takes his hand, leading him to the bedroom, but keeps her response to herself. How about what were you and your parents whispering about last night, after I went to get ready for bed. How about that, Mister let me be all secret about proposing. A small smirk is the only external indication of what she was thinking.

Sarah stays silent as she leads him into the room and indicates for him to sit on the end of the bed.

Chuck sits and folds his hands in his lap, looking up at her expectantly, as his foot starts bouncing on the floor. Okay something is up, but she is only acting kind of freaked out about it, so I shouldn't be too freaked out. Yet. Oh crap, what if she knows about the proposal?

Sarah stands before him, glancing back and forth, between him and the floor, as she twists her fingers together. It's okay, it's okay, it's okay. I don't have to worry about telling him, and it's not like I have been wilfully lying to him. It just hasn't been time to tell him yet. It wasn't necessary. Stop worrying about it. This is Chuck. He is going to be great about it.

With a shy smile, Sarah looks into Chuck's eyes and informs him, "Chuck, sweetie, I have a secret that I need to tell you."

Chuck's eyes go wide in surprise, then he reaches out with both hands, offering his support and some comfort. Okay. I don't think this is some kind of bad news. I hope. She doesn't act like we are in danger, or something.

Sarah steps forward to accept his hands and takes a deep cleansing breath. "Without going too deep, I was on a mission, before I met you, and it went south, because the other Agent on the mission was dirty. At the center of it all was a baby. An heiress. And, the other agent was going to use her to get to her millions."

Chuck is shocked by the story, a harsh reminder of the darkness found in the spy world. He squeezes her hand, first in surprise at her news, then in support as she shares this story.

"When I realized what was going on, I ran with the baby. I went off the grid and took her away from that bastard and everyone else in the CIA."

This revelation causes Chuck's mouth to actually fall open, as his brain tries to blend the idea of Sarah on the run, moving from safe house to safe house, with the idea of Sarah caring for a baby. "Oh my God, Sarah. How did you manage that? What did you do?" Chuck can't resist pulling her down, to sit next to him on the bed, so he can put an arm around her, and hold her close.

Sarah looks at her hands, clasped in her lap, as she continues her tale. "The details aren't important. What is important is that I found a safe place to hide her. Someplace they wouldn't think to look. Someplace she could grow up and live her life." Sarah turned to face Chuck directly. "I left her with my mom." Her voice breaks with her revelation, as her mind fills with the memory of that event and all of the emotions that surrounded it.

Chuck isn't sure what to make of this story, yet. Her mother? I wasn't even sure if she was alive. I didn't think Sarah ever saw her. Chuck's brow furrows, as his mind races with questions, but he focuses on supporting Sarah. He envelopes her in his embrace and whispers reassurances, while she takes a moment to re-compose herself.

With her face buried in his Chest, she catches her breath and pushes through the rest of her story. "I hadn't seen her in years. Not since I left with my Dad. She should hate me. She should have slammed the door in my face. Instead she just hugged me and we cried together on her porch. She agreed, with minimal questions, to take the baby in, and over time I sent her adoption paperwork and other documents to make the little one legal."

Sarah takes a deep breath, then pulls back from Chuck, "It's been years since I saw them last. I stayed away so I wouldn't lead anyone to them."

"So they are safe? Are people still looking for them?" Chuck inquires.

Sarah looks down at the floor, and shakes her head. She explains in a whisper. "No. He's dead. I made sure of it almost a year ago. After I split up with Casey, and was running ops alone, I crossed his path. For the last time."

"It's okay. It's okay. You did your job and made sure everyone is safe now. So they are Okay? They are doing well?" Chuck tries to calm her down.

Chuck's questions elicit fresh sobs from Sarah. "I don't know. I haven't been back to see them." Sarah grabs the front of Chuck's shirt and pleads with him "Oh Chuck, I want to see them. I want to see my Mom."

"Hey, hey. Of course my love. We can do that. No problem. It's going to be okay." Chuck rubs her back, trying to soothe her and assure her that things will be okay. "Where does she live? I assume here in America?"

Sarah's mood improves with Chuck's ministrations and her eyes brighten, while a small smile forms on her face. She wipes her eyes and excitedly informs him, "She lives here, in southern California. Actually, just north of San Diego. Down by Camp Pendalton. Do you think it would be Okay to invite her to Thanksgiving today?" She looks at him hopefully.

Chuck grins and laughs inside. As if I would ever deny her wish. And this is her Mom! I would go to Mordor to reunite them. "Of course. Sarah, she is your mother. There is nothing I want more, right now, than to bring you and your mother together. How do you want to do this?".

Sarah's beaming smile softens and becomes a little sheepish, "Well I kind of need to call her first. Seriously, I haven't spoken with her in years. With all that happened in Europe, I never even got to tell her that she was safe. God, I hope she doesn't hate me."

Chuck pulls her to his side and kisses the top of her head. "Once she sees what an amazing woman you are, I know she will be happy to have you back in her life."

Chuck stands and pulls Sarah to her feet. "Let's do this. Call her and see how she is. Invite her to join us, and if she can't, we will go see her."

Sarah steps into his arms and wraps her arms around his waist. "I love you so much. I feel like as long as we are together, everything is going to turn out Okay."

Chuck hugs her back, then releases her and steps to the door. "Do you want privacy?"

Sarah shakes her head and points at the bed, while she grabs her cellphone and starts dialing.

She listens for a moment, then with a quiet voice she says. "Hello Mom? It's me. Samira."

Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Emma pulls off of the freeway, following Samira's instructions and using the GPS to find the park where she was meeting her daughter. Okay, Sam where are you? This is so like her; the way she has an air of secrecy around her. I don't know what all she went through with Jack, but damn him for how guarded she seems to be.

It was a happy shock, when she showed up at my doorstep. I didn't know if I would ever see her again. But, after we got past the initial emotional shock, she seemed to close down. She became guarded and matter of fact, rattling off details, as if the what's and why's behind them were irrelevant. She works in Law Enforcement. She rescued the baby from some bad guys. I'm the only person she thought she could trust with her. And, oh by the way, the bad guys were still out there, so she had to leave and would never see us again. I mean what the hell!? But, I couldn't turn away a baby.

And, I did miss out on raising my daughter. Even Sam acknowledged that she hoped I could give Molly everything I couldn't give her. As if that would make up for losing my daughter. And now, now she calls me up out of the blue, still acting secretively. She tells me everything is safe and that she wants me to drive up here and meet someone. I must be crazy, dropping everything to drive up here. Emma laughs to herself. But, since I hadn't even taken the frozen turkey dinner entree out of the freezer yet, it wasn't hard to change my plans.

And damn it, I do want to have some kind of relationship with my daughter. She promised to fill me in on all of the details. I just hope they aren't so bad that I can't have her in my life. The GPS chimed as she saw the city park spread out before her. And here we are. Sam, where are you? And why do you have to be so mysterious.

After retrieving Molly from her carseat, and reminding her to keep ahold of her hand, with the promise that yes she would get to play on the playground, Emma starts looking around for her other daughter. To her left, she hears an adult voice call out "Mom".

She turns and confirms that it is Samira's voice, but she can't help noticing that this doesn't seem to be the same Sam who visited her last time. That time Sam was wearing black jeans with a gray shirt and black jacket that seemed more like a uniform than casual wear. And she carried herself with a controlled stiffness, which reinforced the perception.

Sam, now, is nothing like that. She is wearing a forest green skirt, paired with a long sleeved, navy button up shirt, both made of some kind of brushed cotton. A tan belt and matching boots complete the outfit. All in all, it looks soft and comfortable. However, the most striking aspect of her appearance is her huge smile, framed by her freely flowing blond hair. Emma, freezes in place, stunned by the dramatic change in Sam's demeanor.

Sarah rushes up to Emma and Molly, but catches herself when she notices Molly act startled and pull into Emma's side.

Sarah smiled down at her. "Hey you", she greets the little girl, naturally broadening the grin on her face. Sarah looks up at her Mom. "Hey Mom. It is really good to see you."

Emma's chest constricts. This is the kind of reunion she had hoped for, when Sam showed up the last time. She opens her arms and allows Sarah to step into her embrace. "Oh, baby, it is so good to see you."

Sarah holds her mother close and loses it, sobbing and repeating, "I am so sorry. I am so sorry."

Sarah's apologies cause Emma to break down sobbing, too. She strokes the back of Sarah's head, and soothes her. "It's okay, baby. It's okay, baby."

Suddenly a piercing wail breaks out next to them, and they are startled out of their tear filled reunion. They both look down, to see Molly, wailing, her face screwed up and tears freely falling.

Emma quickly reaches down and scoops Molly into her arms, and switches over to soothing her. She strokes Molly's hair and whispers. "It's okay, baby. It's okay baby."

Sarah laughs lightly to herself, appreciating the parallels of the situation. It looks like being a mom is the same, no matter how big your child is. I am so glad she is back in my life. There is so much I need to learn from her.

Sarah watches in awe, as Emma calms Molly, explaining that these are happy tears, and explaining that this is her older sister, Samira. Once Molly is feeling better, Emma leads them over to one of the swingsets. She gets Molly secured, then motions for Sam to stand near her, and they start taking turns pushing Molly, who squeals in delight.

"So Sam, are you ready to tell me what the heck is going on with you?" Emma asks, a no-nonsense expression on her face.

Sarah chuckles, finding a way to release some of the tension she feels. Looks like I am picking up some of Chuck's habits. Laughing through my nervousness. "Yeah Mom, I am ready to tell you pretty much everything. There are some people whom I want you to meet. We are going to have Thanksgiving dinner with them. But there is so much I have to tell you that I wanted to talk to you here, before we jump into all of that.'

They stand in the park, like normal people, entertaining a normal child, as Sarah tells a story that was far from normal. With broad strokes, she explains how she had become disenchanted with her Dad and his cons, and how the mess of his life brought her into the world of Law Enforcement. She is intentionally vague about who she worked with, but acknowledges that she had to deal with some dark situations and had to do things that shook her up. She explains that she had saved Molly on one of her missions, and that now there was no longer any danger to them.

Sarah needs a moment to catch her breath and collect herself, after sharing such an intense story. So, Emma leads Molly to the slides and lets her burn off some energy by climbing and sliding over and over.

Sarah joins them, mentally letting go of all of the negative energy of that part of her past, and turns the focus of her story on the new, good aspects of her life. She simply says that she was caught in an explosion, is 90% better, and that her recuperation brought her and Chuck together. She explains how Chuck helped her work through the issues of her past, and encouraged her to embrace life, rather than running from it. She also explains how they are a couple now and are going to be living on the East coast. Most importantly Sarah explains that she wants her and Molly in her life, from now on.

Emma's eyes fill with tears of happiness, when she hears this news. Who is this Chuck and how do I thank him? I want to know more about Sam's transformation and it sounds like we will have time for me to find out the details.

Sarah finishes her story with a laugh. "That was a whole lot, huh? My story isn't simple but I hope it is going to have a happy ending. I assume you have questions?" Sarah asks, with an amused raised eyebrow.

In reply, Emma can't help but laugh along with Sarah, needing some outlet for all the tension that the story brought forth. "Only a million of them." She grabs Sarah's hand and looks deeply in her eyes. "And we have time for that, right?"

Sarah tries to express, with her eyes, all of the love and commitment she has for her mom, impressing the sincerity of her words. "We have our whole lives ahead of us, and I want you in all of it."

They embrace, both savoring the feeling of renewing the bond of parent and child. Soon, they are brought back to the world, by Molly tugging on Emma's jacket, her energy spent from all of her running around.

"Shall we go meet your friends?" Emma inquires, looking forward to finding out more about Sam's new life.

Sarah clasps her hands together in excitement. "Oh yes, Mom. We are going to have Thanksgiving dinner with Chuck and his family." She raises her eyebrows, acknowledging how overwhelming this might be to Emma. "You are going to love him, because he is so damn lovable." Sarah explains with a laugh. "And his family is pretty great too."

Emma takes Molly's hand and starts walking to her car. "I am really looking forward to it. I am so happy that you are happy and have found some good people to have in your life."

At Emma's car, Sarah points out what she is driving and explains the route they will take to Chuck's house, with excitement in her voice. "Follow me, it's only a couple of blocks. I can't wait for you to meet everyone." She suddenly stops. "Oh, you should know that they all know me as Sarah Walker, so don't let that throw you. Chuck knows my name was Samira, and it looks like the whole family will be learning it now." She smiles realizing all the parts of her life are integrating. "See you there.", she says, then heads to her own car.
