Hey guys and gals, it's me CMBasher7, back with another chapter in the Transformers: The Monster Wars fanfic. Thank you for the comments about the lost of my cousin and his girlfriend, they mean a lot to me and my family.
Thank you for your comment Shocknawe 425, and I have already got the other Predacons and Maximals Names, Modes, and Transformation figured out right from the get go, and I want to try (note: try) and incorporate the Maximals and Predacons into the Monster Hunter franchises storylines starting with World. (Those may take me longer as I need to figure out how I should incorporate it story-wise and make it enjoyable for you guys as well).
Also for the opening for any who are wondering, just look up Beast Wars (Epic Version) by Micheal Hovsepian on Youtube to give you a good idea on the opening soundtrack.
As you should know by now, I don't own Monster Hunter or Beast Wars Transformers and the only characters I own are my own creations. And everything else I use such as songs belong to their original makers.
Wildspire Waste, Optimus Primal's location...
It had only been a day since the Maximals had sent some of the Scraplets to the Predacon Base and a week since they had destroyed the Predacon's Mega Cannon, Optimus Primal and the other Maximals knew that it would only be a matter of time before the Predacon's retaliated. So the Maximals had started to come up with two different plans at the same time for when it happens.
The first one was to put up serval survey post in different locations to give the Maximals an early warning system for any Predacons attacks and passing Hunter's. They'd had been modified by Barronox and Puss to detect Predacon signals, the first batch was already in place around the Ancient Forest so now Barronox and Puss were making more, and were about to place them around the New World for them.
The other plan was something Optimus wasn't thrilled about, but with how outnumbered they were, he had to agree with the plan. Currently, Velocibot was building a bomb that should destroy or heavily damage the Predacon base. He wasn't thrilled by the idea, but the tactical advantage they could gain from it, well it could very well to turn the tide of war in their favor.
But while the bomb was having the finishing touches done on it, Optimus was scouting an area for the survey posts. Unfortunately for him, there was a large island-wide storm coming towards both the Maximals and Predacons way. Optimus stood a fair distance away from a mountain as a mighty lightning bolt strikes the rock and reveals some massive amounts of crystallized Energon inside. As he zoomed in on it, he knew that any activity tonight would be too dangerous for anyone.
Optimus stood a fair distance away from the mountain as a lightning bolt came down on it and revealed some raw Energon crystals inside it. As he zoomed his optics on it, he knew that any activity tonight would be too dangerous for anyone.
Making his mind up Optimus contacted the base using his internal com-link. "Optimus to Axalon, repeat, Optimus to Axalon, scrub the mission. Looks like one extremely ill wind is blowing our way." Optimus said as he waited for a response, but he got none. "Command Centre do you read me?"
But all he got in response was static. And so he began to make his way back to the Axalon.
The Axalon, Ancient Forest...
Back inside the Axalon, everyone on-board was doing something as Wulgtrap was monitoring the comm's waiting for Optimus to call in, Barronox and Puss were finishing the survey post, Zinogtor was doing his own thing somewhere, Velocibot was finishing the bomb, and Aiden was playing fetch with the new member of the Maximals, Scrappy the Konchu Scraplet.
Aiden and Puss were both spending the night at the Axalon, due to Jaycee, Erica, and Makoto having to go on quick gathering mission and wouldn't be back until tomorrow.
Barronox soon stood back up from the survey posts are they all shrunk down into little puck shapes. "That does it, survey posts are ready for duty." Barronox said as he gathered up the survey posts. "Hmm, Any word from Optimus?"
"Na, not a flicker, dis storm is trashing da comm-links worsen' usual. Even you're fancy new chips ain't doin' much." Wulgtrap said as he looked over from his console at Barronox. "And dat's bad enough."
Meanwhile, Velocibot was twisting the dial on his bomb to set it's countdown timer. "This mission is too critical to be interrupted by minor variation of weather." Velocibot said before he began to look for something.
"Youse just upset cause Erica's not heres with ya to keeps youse in check." Wulgtrap teased Velocibot's big brother-like tendencies towards the female Dual Blade wielder.
"I will not answer to that, you vermin." Velocibot muttered under his breath as he kept looking for whatever he needed to finish his bomb. "GRAAAAH!!! Who took the synchro-laser!" Velocibot angrily questioned which Maximal had taken the synchro-laser that he needed to finish the bomb, as Zinogtor turned around with the device in hand.
"Allow me, Lizard Lips." Zinogtor said as he walked over to the bomb and started to work on it's final touches. Unfortunately, he did something wrong causing the bomb to short circuit and fall off of the table.
In anger seeing the bomb having rolling away, Velocibot grabbed Zinogtor by the chestplate and lifted him up into the air with one servo. "Grrr... You hyper little..." He stated, but soon everyone attention was on the bomb as it was about to fall down the open lift.
"Da bomb, watch out!" Wulgtrap cried out in horror as it fell over and into the open lift as he, the other Maximals, Puss, Scrappy, and Aiden all braced themselves for the on-coming explosion that was about to happen.

...
...
...
...
But, nothing had happened, there was no massive explosion.
Luckily for everyone on the Axalon, it was at that moment that Optimus having taken the lift had grabbed the bomb as soon as it fell. Everyone let out a breath of relief.
"Some sort of trouble?" Optimus asked as he juggled the bomb up and down in one hand. Velocibot, seeing that the bomb was still intact had let go of Zinogtor as he fell to the ground.
"Hey Big Bot, we're just locking down the big ba-bang here. One last adjustment and there, we're set to blast that Predacon base back into orbit... as space debris!" Zinogtor said as the bomb started to shake for a bit, causing the others to step back away from it. Fortunately for them, the bomb had soon calmed down letting them breathe a little.
"And you just saved the Axalon from doing just that a couple of seconds ago." Aiden added with Scrappy cuddling up on his shoulder. Optimus rolled his eyes in exasperation before he gave his team the bad news.
"Put it to bed, we're stalled." Optimus tells them as the others wondered why.
"What!" Velocibot let out a growl of anger.
"You can't...!" Wulgtrap said in disbelief.
"Why can't we continue?" Puss and Aiden wondered.
"What are you talking about?" Barronox questioned.
"Hey, it's just a crossed quasar circuit! I can fix it!" Zinogtor said, thinking that Optimus thought the bomb just wasn't ready, but that wasn't the case.
"That storm'll hit us within the hour." Optimus told the young Maximal worried about how bad the storm was. Zinogtor on the other hand wasn't worried in the slightest.
"An hour, heh, not a problem fellow beasts, I can outrun anything the skies can dish." Zinogtor said with a cocky grin.
Soon, a Blue Diva had flown in from outside by entering an opening that leads inside the Axalon, a note soon fell from it's legs and it flew back outside as it seemed to be heading back towards Astera.
"Dear Aiden, Puss, and the Maximals,
We are sorry to tell you guys that we cannot make it back to the Axalon land we aren't allowed to leave Astera due to Chief Isamu telling us that due to the storm, the Hunter's are advised to stay inside Astera's walls until the weather clears up tomorrow.
From Jaycee, Erica, and Makoto."
Aiden read the note out loud for the other Maximals to hear and as soon as he was done reading the letter, Optimus just looked at Zinogtor waiting for his response.
When the Rajang Maximal was given none in return, he knew he had won this battle. "Sorry Zinogtor, it's too risky. I know you could have outran this storm, but these posts need to be place carefully to avoid contact with underground Energon deposits and, above all else, people." Optimus tells the young Maximal that they first needed to set up the survey posts to avoid any Energon crystals underground and Hunters that may accidentally find them and lead them to the Axalon as he places a hand on the Maximal's shoulder.
Zinogtor just swatted Optimus' hand off of his shoulder and just looked at him. "I'm not just some dippy pup, y'know? I can do this. Try havin' some faith in me for once!" Zinogtor insisted that Primal gives him some faith.
"As much as you prefer to think so, Zinogtor. This isn't about you." Optimus calmly tells Zinogtor that this wasn't about the young Maximal alone.
Zinogtor just glared at Primal before he turns around and tosses the bomb towards Velocibot, who caught it with one hand. Zinogtor then walked off to his quarters anger clear in his footsteps.
"I'll go talk to him, purrsonally." Puss said as he walked off to talk with Zinogtor.
After the two were gone, Velocibot spoke up and asked a question.
"Does it really matter if we blow up some Energon, maybe it will take some of our enemies out with it. That is what we want, is it not?" Velocibot questioned as he walked up to Primal, standing taller than the Maximal Leader.
"That is what we call overkill, Velocibot." Aiden deadpanned as he looked at the ex-Predacon as he gave Scrappy some searches under her jaw.
"And what is wrong with that?" Velocibot growled as he crouched down to look at Aiden in the eyes. Aiden just rolled his eyes and placed his hand across his face.
Optimus knew that this was coming and he was ready for it. "This mission, Velocibot, is to gain tactical advantage by taking out their base. Defeating them does not mean we have to annihilate them. You seem to have trouble understanding that." Optimus said, knowing that it would take a lot more then this to convince Velocibot.
"What I understand is this: if the situations were reversed, Megatron would spare the base and annihilate all of us, both Cybertronians and Humans alike." Velocibot retorted back as Aiden looked over at Barronox with a worried look on his face as the Barroth Maximal just shook his head at it all.
Optimus then had enough of it after seeing the look on Aiden's face. "This eagerness of yours to scrap Megatron is clouding your own judgement." Optimus said as Velocibot soon retorted with his own argument.
"We are at WAR, Optimus! WAR!" Velocibot shouted at the Maximal Leader, reminding him that their two factions were at war with one another right now, though the way he spoke it sounded like he wasn't worried about himself at the moment.
"I think it is your judgement that is clouded!" Velocibot countered as he shoved the bomb into Primal and walked off revearring back into his Velocidrome Mode, grumbling underneath his breath as he walked off.
The Rajang Maximal Leader just shook his head, unsure on how long he would tolerate the tan and brown striped Velocidrome's lust for glorious battle.
It was eerily silent for a while as Velocibot left, that is until Wulgtrap decided to voice his opinion about the survey posts taking one into his hand. "Optimus, they're harmless little scanning relays. All their supposed to do is detect Pred energy signatures, right Barronox?"
"I'm with Optimus on this one, Energon is an untested variable and don't get me started on Bio-Energy. We got to be careful." Barronox gave his answer to the situation as he took the survey post from Wulgtrap and gently set it down with the others..
Zinogtor's Quarters...
Meanwhile, inside Zinogtor's quarters, we see the room that the young Maximal lives in as he has designed his room to look almost like a jungle/ environment fit for a Zinogre, with logs leaning against walls, vines and flowers hanging from the ceilings, and bed made of hay for him to sleep in when he reverts back into his Zinogre Mode. Which he already has, with Puss sitting next to the sadden young mech.
Soon, he and Puss heard someone knocking on his door.
Curious as to who it was, Zinogtor answered them. "Come in." Zinogtor said as Velocibot walked into his room. "Oh, Velocibot, what do you want?" Zinogtor asked wondering why he was here in his room.
Velocibot then enters the young Thunder Wolf Wyvern Maximal room.
"Come to chew my tail off for fritzin' with that bomb?" Zinogtor questioned if the ex-Predacon was about to scold him for nearly destroying both the Axalon and the Maximals.
"No, young one. I am confident that you could fix it." Velocibot replies, causing Zinogtor and Puss' ears to perk up in interest and surprise at the Ex-Predacon's advice. "Just as I am confident that you could beat the storm and plant those survey posts."
"Well, then you're the only one who thinks so." Zinogtor said dejectedly.
Velocibot let's out a low growl and responds back. "Do not mind Primal. To him, you are a mere sparkling incapable of handling such an important task. Just like you said, he has no faith."
"Yeah, well, I could show him a thing or two."
"Then... why not do so?"
"What?" Zinogtor and Puss both said at the same time in confusion.
"You have mapped every Energon deposit for five hundred meters. And your land speed is unmatched by any of us, I only place second to you." Velocibot tells Zinogtor, hoping to raise the young mechling's spirits. "In fact, you are the only one who could pull off this mission."
Zinogtor gave a confident grin, as he realized that Velocibot was right, the once dejected Maximal got up and off of his bed. "Ok, if you meant what you said, then I guess we can do this then."
"I don't think this is a good idea. What if Optimus finds out about this?" Puss suddenly asked Velocibot and Zinogtor what may happen if Optimus finds out.
"And before you go, take the cat with you." Velocibot quietly said as the Ex-Predacon glared at Puss once the Felyne had asked that question.
"WHAT?! Is this because I-"
"Yes. And if you tell Optimus about any of this, I will cut your glossa off and force it down your throat." Velocibot said as he displayed his razor sharp claws in-front of Puss' face, causing the Palico to take in a gulp.
"Aww." Puss moaned, knowing he should have kept his mouth shut at the moment and told the Maximal Leader afterwards. He then got up onto the back of Zinogtor reluctantly.
Later during the day...
Soon after getting the survey posts,Zinogtor and Puss made their way through the Axalon, and after not getting spotted by the other Maximals, the teenage Zinogre Maximal and Palico had soon made it into the wilderness that is the Ancient Forest. Making sure that the cost was clear, Zinogtor shot out with Puss hanging onto the Maximal with his dear lives as the Thunder Wolf Maximal was now seen leaping atop and across multiple boulders to reach the first location for the survey posts.
"MAXIMIZE!" Zinogtor shouted his activation code and began transforming into his robot mode once he and Puss had reached their first location, with the latter leaping off of the former once he began to transform.
Zinogtor looked up at the sky, seeing some lighting pass by overhead of them, he then pulled out a survey post disk from underneath his Zinogre head and activated it. Once the anchor had popped out from the base of the post, he slammed it into the ground where it pierced the ground, Puss began to check to make sure that the post was working right.
"Monster Mode!" Zinogtor shouted as he transformed back into Zinogre Mode.
Both the Maximals and Predacons were able to change their alt activation codes so now instead of them shouting Beast Mode, they could now shout out Monster Mode.
But at that moment a bolt of lightning hit near Zinogtor and Puss sending them both to the ground, and causing Puss' fur to stand on it's ends with small electricity running between each two strands of standing fur.
"Was that supposed to scare me?" Zingotor yelled out at the sky, as soon as he said this, a bolt of lightning nearly struck them.
"I would nyat challenge nyature if I were you , Zinogtor." Puss said as he could feel his fur stand on it's ends. "Bad things happen to those who challenge nyature's wrath." As soon as he said this another bolt of lighting struck by them.
Seeing this, all Zinogtor could say was, "Yep." as he ran away with Puss holding onto his back as they made it to their next destination.
Later, Wildspire Waste...
It took a while, but the two had managed to place the other survey posts at their designated locations, and had arrived at their next and 5th location, which was the mountain where the lightning had struck. Zingtor, in his robot mode, placed the 5th survey posts into the ground.
Zinogtor then transformed back into his Zinogre form as Puss, after once again checking to make sure the survey posts were fully operational and working as intended, jumped onto the young Maximal's back, in which the former began to race off to the last location.
That was when Puss' keen cat-eyes spotted something ahead of them.
"Uh, Zinogtor, look out ahead!" Puss said as he pointed ahead of the Zinogre Maximal, having spotted a large gorge filled with raw Energon crystals at the bottom.
Zingotor's eyes zoom in and sees the canyon, as he then smirks and quickens his pace to try and jump the gorge, Puss was holding onto Zinogtor for dear life as his eyes widen in fear, quickly realizing what the Maximal was planning to do. But the young Maximal barely made it and was now hanging off the ledge of the gorge, Puss had fallen off Zinogtor's back and was now hanging onto the Maximal's tail.
With some struggle and almost falling into the Energon filled gorge, Zinogtor was able to get his footing straight and pull himself and Puss out as he continued making his way to the Coral Highlands.
Coral Highlands...
The Coral Highlands is an area of the New World that looks like if someone had taken a large part of the ocean and placed it on the island. The place consists of a vast landscape like that of the ocean floor, the most notorious feature is the many species of coral in the area, as its name implies. This area is comprised of steep cliffs that form a highland. It's comprised of three sections; the Top, the Middle, and the Bottom. Floating through the air of the Coral Highlands was series of numerous white flakes which are actually coral eggs.
We soon see Zinogtor leaping from coral to coral to his next destination, trying to avoid the lighting bolts that struck the land as well as the Monsters that have decided to use the island-wide storm as a way to get an easy meal.
Zinogtor soon transformed into his robot mode as soon as he arrived at his destination, which was a smoothed, hill-like mountain top. He soon pulled out the last survey post disk as soon as Puss got off of the young bot's back. He then tossed it up like a coin and it transformed into it's survey post form as he grabbed it while it was in mid-air.
But just as Zinogtor was about to strike the post into the ground, a bolt of lighting had struck him, causing the young bot to scream out in pain.
"ZINOGTOR!" Puss shouted as the Palico quickly raced over to his Maximal friend.
As Zingotor screamed out in pain, he had let go of the survey post, causing the device to flip through the air before landing stake down into the ground, cracking the ground, hitting a pocket full of Energon, which began to supercharge the device. Soon, the cracks caused by the survey post began to get bigger and bigger.
Zinogtor awoken and shook his head, trying to regain his conscious as he sees Puss standing in-front of him with a worried look on his face.
"Are you okay, Zinogtor?" Puss asked if the young Zinogre Maximal was okay.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Zinogtor said before he noticed something behind the Palico. "Uh oh, Energon." Puss looked behind him and noticed the large cracks filled with Energon, he and Zinogtor could also feel that it was starting to violently shake beneath them. "AND IT'S GONNA BLOW!"
Zinogtor quickly got back up as both he and Puss quickly raced over towards the supercharged survey post as the cracks continued to get bigger and bigger.
Zinogtor slowly began to approach the supercharged post as he was about to try and pull it out of the ground before the Energon explodes, killing both of them. Zinogtor quickly gripped the handles, but was instantly shocked by it causing him to let go just as fast as he held on.
Zinogtor tried again, using all of his strength to pull the survey post out of the ground as the cracks continued to get bigger and bigger. He was soon forced to let go once again and fell onto his aft.
"Come on, Puss. Help me take this thing out of the ground." Zinogtor said turning to look at Puss who was behind him.
"I don't think this is a good planya." Puss said as he got down onto all fours and began to climb up along the Thunder Wolf Maximal and he sat atop his shoulder for the moment as Zinogtor stood up and made his way back to the survey post.
At the Darksyde, Elder's Recess...
Meanwhile at the Darksyde, we see Terralos, in his Astalos Monster Mode arriving at a console in the Communications Room. He was stationed here to the console by Megatron himself and ordered to watch if anything, Maximal, Monster Hunter, or Monster, approaches their base.
The computer soon picked up a signal, catching the Predacon's attention.
"Say perhaps by chance it's an intruder." Terralos said with glee as he wanted to tear whoever these intruders are into pieces.
But soon, the storm began to interfere with the scanner as the screen began to go static.
"Ah, slag. Curse this storm's interferences." Terralos cursed the island-wide storm. "Should've known no Maximal would be stupid or crazy enough try anything on a day like this."
Back with Zinogtor and Puss...
"Okay, so you wanna play rough, eh?" Zinogtor said as he flicked a piece of the survey post.
Zinogtor soon began to grip both the handles on the survey posts as he could feel the Energon flow into him as Puss quickly gripped the handles as the two began to pull with all their might to get the survey post out of the ground.
But soon, a bolt of lighting had struck the supercharged survey posts, causing the device to lift into the air before a bright flash appeared and zapped the Maximal and the Palico away to somewhere else.
Back in the Communication Room on the Darksyde...
We soon cut back to the Communications Room and see Terralos trying to fix the static-filled monitors, before a bright flash of light appeared in-front of the Predacon as it got bigger and bigger before it exploded covering the room in a white flash of light and sending the Predacon into some holo-platforms.
The light soon died down and we see that Zinogtor and Puss had appeared out of thin air inside the Darksyde, both dazed as they held their heads and groaned.
Terralos was surprised to see both the Maximal and the Palico that had caused the Predacons so much trouble when they both had first crash-landed on this excess-Energon encrusted planet, but soon a grin crawled it's way onto his face.
Meanwhile, Zinogtor and Puss were trying to get their bearings, one second they were trying to get the supercharge survey post out of the ground and the next, they were now here, where ever here was.
"What's new, pussycat?" Zinogtor groaned as he held a servo to his head.
"Whoa whoa whoa?" Puss groaned in his daze as his eyes swirled as all the Palico could see was that everything was in doubles at the moment. He shook his head, regaining his senses shortly after.
"Did we get fried?" Zinogtor said as he looked at his servos. That was when he had taken notice of his surrounding area. "Wait, is this...?!"
The Maximal and Felyne soon heard the sound of sinister laughter ahead of the two of them.
Looking over to where the sound came from, Zinogtor and Puss saw Terralos stepping out of a very dark corner as he covered his head with his wing and slowly brought his head out as he talked.
"Welcome to the Darksyde." Terralos said with a sinister chuckle and a grin on his face. "Terralos, TERRORIZE!" He screeched his activation code as he transformed into his robot mode and landed on the hovering platform.
"Zinogtor, MAXIII-"Zinogtor was about to shout his activation code before he quickly realized mid-way that he was already in robot mode. "I did that already." Puss only responded with a sigh and a slap of his paw on across his face.
Terralos then pulled out his blaster and began firing upon both the Zinogre Maximal and Hammer-wielding Palico, but the two easily dodge them and jumps onto one of the holo-platforms, causing the Predacon to destroy the computer screen, and causing the Maximal to hang onto the railing with Puss climbing his way up Zinogtor's leg all the way up to his Monster Mode's shoulder blade.
Terralos continued to fire upon Zinogtor and Puss as the Maximal pulled out Lone Wolfer and aimed it at the Astalos Predacon. Zinogtor then rolled into the holo-platforms railing, allowing the Maximal and Palico to stand upon the holo-platform, albeit with it shaking a bit.
Terralos then fired another blast from his blaster which the Maximal was able to avoid, before he fired a shot at the Predacon, but Terralos was able to quickly dodge the blast, in which the Predacon counter-fired.
The two continued to fire upon each other, before Zinogtor was able to land a shot behind Terralos, causing the Predacon to be sent flying onto another holo-platform.
"Way to go, Zinogtor!" Puss cheered Zinogtor on getting Terralos.
"We aren't out of these hot waters yet, kitty cat." Zinogtor said as he gripped the handlebar of the holo-platform and rev'd it up like a motorcycle. "Hang on!" He warned as he started up the holo-platform.
Terralos soon regained his bearings and noticed both the Maximal and his Palico friend trying to get away, so in response he began to fire upon the two trying to take them down.
He missed a couple of shots but one of his shots landed underneath the holo-platforms base, sending the two crashing into the ground, but Zinogtor was quickly able to grab onto the ledge of another holo-platform as Puss held tightly onto Zinogtor's leg just before the two could fall into the large pit of lava below them.
Terralos soon drove his holo-platform closer towards Zinogtor and Puss, having put his blaster away and forming his twin shoulder cannons, which he affectionately calls the Bolt Shockers.
Zinogtor was soon able to pull both himself and Puss up onto the holo-platform as the two soon glared at the Predacon before them.
"I heard you were fast, doggy. You don't seem so swift to me and neither does your little pet cat." Terralos said as the vile Predacon aimed his Bolt Shockers at both the young Maximal and Palico.
"Oh, yeah? Just wait until I get into SHAPE! MONSTER MODE!!!" Zinogtor shouted as he transformed back into his Zinogre alt mode as Puss jumped up onto Zinogtor's back.
Zinogtor then leaped and lunged at Terralos, sending the vile Predacon into the broken computer that the Predacon had shot at which soon began shocking his systems and soon enough a bright white flash of light soon engulfed him and in the next second he was gone.
"Whoa, cool." Zinogtor said in awe.
"What happened to him?" Puss questioned with a scratch of his head, wondering where the Predacon had gone.
"I don't know, but let's keep looking for a way outta here." Zinogtor said as he transformed back into his robot mode and drove away.
But just as Zinogtor and Puss flew away on their holo-platform, the two were unaware of Seltanator and Akuranok following right behind to two, with the large Neopterran carrying the Carapaceon, both of which had entered the area after hearing the sounds of gunfire by Terralos and were coming to check it out.
Thankfully, Zinogtor and Puss were able to hear Seltanator's buzzing wings and turned around to see the two Predacons chasing after them.
"Uh-oh." Zinogtor said as he soon put the pedal to the medal on his holo-platform and drove away as fast as he could.
"Akuranok, TERRORIZE!" Akuranok shouted his activation code as Seltanator dropped him onto a holo-platform as he began his transformation.
"Seltanator, TERRORIZE!!!" Seltanator shouted his activation code as he chased after Zinogtor and Puss with his bow, which he had decided to name it the Stinger Slinger, aimed at the two of them.
Seltanator pulled back the bow string of his weapon, forming an Energon arrow and fired it at the Maximal and Palico, Puss seeing this, jumped off of Zinogtor's shoulder and pulled out his hammer and began hitting the on-coming arrows away from the two of them.
Akuranok soon fired a missile at Zinogtor, but the young Maximal was able to dodge it unlike last time, causing the missile to hit and destroy a ventilation shaft in the Darksyde.
Zinogtor then hovered the holo-platform closer to the ventilation shaft and grinned as he saw both his and Puss's way out of the room.
"Yeah! Thanks for showin' us the way out, ya lamers!" Zinogtor cheekily said to Seltanator and Akuranok. "Come on, Puss! Let's blow this dango stand!"
He then transformed back into Monster Mode as Puss quickly hopped onto the young Maximal's back as the two jumped into the ventilation, causing their holo-platform to fall into the lava, just as Akuranok was coming in hot.
"He's gone into the vents!" Akuranok told Seltanator, as he looked back between the ventilation and the Predacon next to him. "You better tell Megatron."
"Mme?! You're Zecond-In Command." Seltanator counter-argued with a buzz as he jabbed a servo into Akuranok's chest plate.
"So make it an order!" Akuranok argued with Seltanator.
Outside the Axalon, Ancient Forest...
Outside the Maximals base, we see that the clouds above have gotten darker and the winds have picked up even more and bolts of lightning continue to strike the crashed exploration ship that is stuck in the tree. Soon, a ball of light flies towards the Maximal Base.
Suddenly, in the communications room in the Axalon, one of the consoles suddenly spewed sparks as Terralos suddenly appeared atop the console, groaning.
Once Terralos was finally able to get his bearings, he asked himself a question. "Th-W-W-Where'd those two go?!" He then looked around the room and saw that he was no longer on the Darksyde. "Where'd I go?"
Suddenly, stepping into the Astalos Predacon's vision was was his old comrade, Velocibot and Aiden, who was seen holding his great sword in his hand, the two of them were glaring at the Predacon.
"Welcome to Enemy Arms, my former comrade." Velocibot snarled as he bared his teeth. "We hope you'll enjoy your stay."
"Velocibot, MAXIMIZE!" Velocibot soon transformed into his robot mode.
"Now let's not do anything you might regret, Terralos." Aiden said as he harden his gaze upon the Predacon.
"I don't know how you brought me here, traitor, but prepare to stain the deck!" Terralos said as he ready himself for his fight against Velocibot and Aiden, as Velocibot was about to consider doing to do the same thing to him as he gripped the Predacon's head, that is until he noticed the console, enveloped in energy.
"Wait. "Hmm, Wait!" He said as he looked at it closer. "Could it be that an accident of technology and nature has actually created a… transporter?" Velocibot questioned if that is what had happened.
Terralos joined him in the thought, as he stared at the glowing console with wonder. He said, "A transporter? Oh, yeah! So that's how those two ended up in our base."
Velocibot heard this and realized that the two were in the Predacon base. "And you here. Interesting development."
"Hold on a minute, what "those two"? What are you talking about?" Aiden questioned what Terralos meant with narrowed eyes as he heard this as well.
"I don't have to say anything to you, flesh bag." Terralos said with a scoff.
"Oh, I won't make you, Oooh, Scraaapyyy~!!!" Aiden called out to the only thing that can make a bot talk.
"Scrappy?" Terralos questioned with a raised optical ridge at the name.
Walking into the room was a massive shadow, with razor sharp teeth's that Terralos was sure was familiar to him. And soon enough, he'd realized why that shadow was familiar, because walking into the communication room was a single tiny Scraplet with pink eyelashes and a mark on it's forehead that resembled a pink heart.
"WHAT THE FRAG!?! WHY DO YOU HAVE A SCRAPLET ON BOARD YOUR SHIP? ARE YOU BOTS SUICIDAL!!!" Terralos screamed out as he hide behind Velocibot to get away from the lone Scraplet.
"I ask that question every single solar-cycle since we met them." Velocibot muttered under his breath and a roll of his optics.
"Tell me what you know Terralos, and I won't sick Scrappy on you." Aiden said as Scrappy revealed her numerous rotating teeth at Terralos, frightening him even more. Even though she would never eat Terralos due to her allergies that didn't stop her from terrifying the Predacon.
"Okay! Okay! I'll talk! Just keep that... that THING away from me!" Terralos tells Aiden to stop Scrappy. Looking back at Scrappy, Aiden nodded as Scrappy stopped and smiled at him. "Alright, the "two" I was talking about was the dog and cat back at our base."
"Zinogtor and Puss? In Predacon Territory?! How? Wh-What were they even doing out there during this storm?" Aiden questioned before he realized that Velocibot had headed towards Zinogtor's room, the Great Sword Wielder then looked at Velocibot. "Wait, you said something to them to get the two of them to go outside and get transported inside the Darksyde somehow, didn't you?"
"I refuse to respond to that question." Velocibot said, which only answered Aiden's question. The ex-Predacon then looked at Astalos Predacon before the two of them. "Terralos, perhaps a truce is in order." Velocibot as he internally grinned at Aiden's use of the Scraplet to interrogate Terralos.
"Yeah! Yeah, say! We can turn our truce into an alliance, Velocibot." Terralos offered that the ex-Predacon's truce becomes an alliance.
"An alliance? To what end?" Velocibot questioned the Astalos Predacon.
"Think of the cosmic magnificence! Together, we'll overthrow these low-grade, metal knock-off's you've joined, and then rule the Predacons with two iron fists!" Terralos shouted as he raised a closed servo into the air with a manic grin on his face. "Nothing can stop us!"
Velocibot looked at Terralos's fist before closing his hand into a fist and mashed their fist together and after they did so, Velocibot gave a small grin.
Aiden and Scrappy both looked at the two with concerned expression thinking that Velocibot had just rejoined the Predacons, but they both had to trust the ex-Predacon's decision.
'Zinogtor, Puss. I hope you two are doing better than we are right now.' Aiden thought to himself.
Back on the Darksyde...
We soon see Zinogtor running down the air shaft as both Seltanator and Akuranok had decided to take matters into their own hands and begun to try and kill both Ouss and Zingotor as the Seltas Predacon was shooting multiple arrows through the air shaft at the Maximal and Palico. But thanks to Puss's keen senses of hearing, he was able to hear the sound of Seltanator drawing an arrow back on his bow and thanks to Zinogtor's sense of smell in Monster Mode, he was able to hear and pinpoint where the Predacon was aiming due to his buzzing wings.
The two soon hit an intersection, with one path going east and the other going west, having no time to think about which way to go, Zinogtor took the path to the east.
Back with Seltanator and Akuranok, Seltanator was trying to figure out which way the Maximal had gone, but fortunately for them, Akuranok had already pin-pointed the Thunder Wolf's location as his visor glowed a brighter red color as he looked at Zinogtor and Puss's heat signatures.
"I have him! I have him!" Akuranok announced as he aimed his heat-seeking Pincer Missiles ahead of where Zinogtor and Puss were going and fired.
The missile pierced the metal air shaft and began scanning around for it's intended target, before it soon locked on and began chasing after the Maximal and Palico.
Zinogtor quickly skidded to a halt as he and Puss both watched as Akuranok's missile head straight for them as Seltanator's arrows were coming in closer behind the two.
"Shredded or sizzled." Zinogtor said with wide eyes.
"What a choice!" Puss whimpered as he looked back and forth between the arrows and the missile.
Akuranok's missile was gaining ground and was rapidly approaching the young Maximal and the hammer-wielding cat and Seltanator's arrows were coming in closer, Zingotor decided to take a risk and go back to take the west path behind him. One of Seltanator's arrows had actually grazed Zinogtor's leg, but it still caused him to yelp in pain. And soon, one of Seltanator's arrows had accidentally shot Akuranok's missile causing it to blow up in a huge explosion behind Zinogtor and Puss.
Back with Seltanator and Akuranok, the two were blown away by the blast radius as Akuranok's holo-platform crash-landed into the lava below as the two Predacons landed on a solid platform just near the edge of the lava.
Back with Zinogtor and Puss inside the air shaft, the two were racing for their lives as the explosion was approaching closer towards them.
"Hang on tight, Puss. Zinogtor, MAXIMIZE!" Zinogtor shouted as he leaped into the air and transformed into his robot mode as Puss held tightly onto his transformed Monster Mode forearm.
"EEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!" Zinogtor and Puss both screamed in terror as they ran away from the explosion.
"Bullet Traaaaaiiin--!" Zinogtor cursed out as he ran down the air shaft. And soon the blast radius pushed Zinogtor and Puss into another room, this being the Blackcastle Soldiers custom break room which thankfully was empty. They both soon crashed onto the break room's table. "Comin' through."
Puss's ears fell down and covered his eyes as his eyes swirled around in a daze.
Back on the Axalon, in the Ancient Forest...
We soon transition to the Axalon as we hear Velocibot talking with Terralos, the two of them in their Monster Modes as Aiden and Scrappy followed behind to make sure that the Predacon didn't try to do anything suspicious during his (hopefully) temporary stay onboard the Axalon.
"And by simply coming in contact with the communication console, this initiated the transport?" Velocibot questioned Terralos if this is what caused the three Cybertronians to teleport inside their ships.
"That's all I did. Nothing to it." Terralos confirmed Velocibot's suspicions, not realizing the Predacon had sealed his fate.
"Excellent. Then I should have no difficulty duplicating the procedure..." Velocibot says with a sinister grin. "Without YOU."
Velocibot then shoved Terralos into an escape pod, but the Predacon didn't go in all the way, but did get his wings stuck as the Ex-Predacon backed up and head-butt the backstabbing Predacon into the escape pod and closing the lid, surprising both Aiden and Scrappy.
"Hey! Whaddya doing?!" Terralos questioned what the Ex-Predacon had just done. His voice sounding muffled and like an echo inside the escape pod. "We're partners!"
"In case you had not realized, axe face, I am not a team player." Velocibot growled and insulted Terralos before he pulled a lever next to the escape pod down and launching Terralos out of the Axalon.
Velocibot then began to walk away from the escape pod and the stunned Aiden and Scrappy, but before he could leave, Optimus Primal was now standing in front of Velocibot in his Rajang Mode with his balled-up fists on his hips, looking at the Velocidrome Ex-Predacon sternly.
"Velocibot! The survey posts are missing, as is Zinogtor and Puss. Do you know anything about that?" Optimus asked if the Ex-Predacon knew anything about the missing survey posts, Zinogtor, and Puss.
"So that's what they were doing out there." Velocibot lied and deduced, confusing Primal. And that quickly shook Aiden out of his stunned-ness.
"What are you talking about, Velocibot? You-" Aiden tried to tell Optimus the truth but Velocibot was quicker and quickly grabbed Aiden and covered his mouth. And the latter quickly tries to break free of the Velocidrome Maximal's grasp.
"Yes, Velocibot. What ARE you talking about?" Optimus questioned what Aiden was talking about when he mentioned that.
"I... overheard a Predacon communication. A lightning strike on one of the sensor posts has had one of the... unexpected result of transporting Zinogtor and the Palico into the Predacon base. Regrettable. Yes." Velocibot explained to Optimus what he heard from the Darksyde's transmissions.
"They have surely been destroyed by... Megatron." This had caused Optimus's eyes to widen in shock at losing Zinogtor again, only this time it may be permanent.
"NO!" Optimus let out a vicious roar as neon red electricity sparked through his body.
And even Aiden began to believe Velocibot's words as Megatron or Anvis were clearly much stronger foe's than the Monsters that any Hunters had even faced before.
"But take heart in the fact that, through the two's ultimate sacrifice, we have been furnished with a way to defeat them." Velocibot told Optimus that they now have the capability to defeat the Predacon's once and for all.
"How?" Optimus questioned how they have a way to defeat the Predacons.
"Somehow, the relay posts, the storm, and the Energon, have all conspired to create a transporter, which connects our com-room to theirs. We can beam the explosive right into the heart of Megatron's lair." Velocibot suggested that they use this accidental transporter as a way to use the bomb he had built and blow up the Darksyde by-passing their defenses and security in one-go.
Optimus seemed to think more on Velocibot's plan.
Back on the Darksyde, Computer Room...
We soon cut to Zinogtor and Puss stealthily sneaking their way across the Darksyde, avoiding the Blackcastle guards that roamed the inside of the ship and trying to make sure they don't get spotted by Seltanator and Akuranok.
The two then spotted a computer and Zinogtor soon decided to hack into the Darksyde computer and try to see if he could mess with the Predacons in anyway shape or form.
"Well, as long as we're here, might as well roll with it. Maybe finger some facts... like coppin' their maps of surrounding Energon deposits." Zinogtor said as he began to look that the Predacon's Energon mapping system.
Once he had gotten the Darksyde's Energon mapping deposit, the computer began to show the show the entire area between the Darksyde and the Axalon as well as the Energon visible in it's radar. That's when the radar began showing something... interesting.
"Hold it-hold it-hold it! Oh, man." Zinogtor said as his optics widen at the new information the computer was gathering.
"What's wrong, Zinogtor?" Puss asked the young Maximal what was wrong.
"I-uh, let's me show you." Zinogtor said, not having any words for what he was seeing on the computer. "Show Maximal perimeter grid-map. Add surrounding Energon deposits!"
The Computer then began to show both the Darksyde and the Axalon's Energon deposit grid-mapping as a trail of Energon began moving closer and closer towards the latter with cracks going in ever direction across the New World.
"The same Energon vein runs under BOTH bases! An explosion at either base would destroy us all." Zinogtor said in shock that both the Axalon and the Darksyde were under one massive Energon vein.
Puss noticed a large crack of the Energon vein going past the Axalon and realized where that vein was hitting. It was hitting Astera, the New World Hunter base.
"And not only would the explosion destroy you guys, but it would also destroy all of Astera in the process as well!" Puss said in shock that not only would an explosion destroy the Axalon and the Darksyde causing the raw Energon inside to become unstable, but would also destroy Astera as well.
"We have to warn the Maximals!" Puss said urgently with widen frightened eye that they have to warn the Maximals of this new found discovery.
"Already one step ahead of you, pussy cat. Make copy!" Zinogtor said as the computer began to make a datatrax disc of the grid-map that Zinogtor asked as the young bot grabbed the datatrax.
"There he is!" Akuranok's voice called out as we see him and Seltanator blocking the only way out.
"Oh scrap! Let's pounce!" Zinogtor shouted as he quickly grabbed the datatrax and Puss and ran away. Akuranok soon fired a missile at the him.
Zinogtor began running around the circular room, trying to get away from the missile before he looked at Seltanator and Akuranok still standing in the doorway, both smirking, and soon an idea came to mind.
On his next pass, he turned towards the two Preds and he then vaulted over the Neopteron and Carapaceon Predacons and continued to run away and soon, the missile that Akuranok had fired began to follow where Zinogtor had gone, which was past the two Predacons.
The two Preds quickly realized this as they tried to get out of the way, but they were stuck in the doorway.
"Get out of the way, you..."
The two were then struck by Akuranok's missile, knocking them off of their feet and onto the floor.
Axalon, Ancient Forest...
We soon cut back to the Axalon as we see Velocibot and the other Maximals, Aiden, and Scrappy in the com-room with the former holding onto the bomb that he had been working on in his seven-digit claws, ready to teleport it into the Predacon's base.
"Wait!" Primal's voice called out to Velocibot, stopping the Bird Wyvern Maximal as he turned to look at Optimus. "You're positive the detonation countdown will give everyone time to flee the base?" Optimus asked, sure he wanted to get revenge for Zinogtor and Puss, but he didn't want to stoop so low to their level.
"They shall have thirty seconds, anymore and they might be able to disarm it." Velocibot answered knowing this was their only chance.
Optimus wasn't thrilled with it but wasn't going to back down now. "Proceed." Was all he said as Velocibot placed the bomb down.
Darksyde, Elder's Recess...
Meanwhile, back with Zinogtor and Puss, the two rushed back to console they both came from, hoping to get the datatrax back to the others in time. Once they got close to it, Zinogtor tossed the datatrax onto the console and it soon disappeared in a flash of light. But when the light had died down, the bomb that Velocibot was working on was now in its place.
"Uh oh." Zinogtor and Puss both said at the same time as their eyes widen in fear.
"It's the bomb." Zinogtor said in fear and worry as he quickly recognized Velocibot's bomb.
Axalon, Ancient Forest...
Back at the Axalon, the datatrax that Zinogtor tossed onto the console appeared in front of Optimus and Velocibot, confusing the both of them.
"What is it?" Velocibot questioned as Optimus took the data disc.
He then sniffed it and was shocked. "It's a data disc with Zinogtor and Puss's scent on it." Optimus Primal answered as he plugged it into the computer to see what it had on it. "Let's play it. Now."
Darksyde, Elder's Recess...
"I can't believe they sent the bomb!" Puss cried out in terror.
"We gotta get it out of here before it explodes and destroy both bases!"
But Zinogtor and Puss didn't both realizes that Terralos was standing right behind them, and soon had gotten the drop on the both of them.
"Freeze, Furballs!" Terralos said as he aimed his blaster at Zinogtor's head. Puss quickly turned around but Terralos quickly grabbed the felyne by the back of his neck. "It's as I said, Megatron. One bomb, C.O.D."
Megatron soon hovered down towards the captured Maximal and Felyne. "Do not attempt to escape, young ones." He then looked at Terralos. "Terralos, disarm it."
Terralos soon shoved Zinogtor and tossed Puss away into the Maximal and walked towards the bomb, he began to tamper with the top, trying to get into the wires.
"There's no time!" Zinogtor warned Terralos that there wouldn't be any time to disarm it.
"H-He's right!" Terralos stuttered as he soon saw the numerous amount of wires that would take MORE than what the bomb gave them. "It's anchored down and gonna blow in TWENTY seconds!"
"I can release the anchors! Lemme at it!" Zinogtor said as he was the only one onboard the Darksyde who could release the anchors holding the bomb in place.
Megatron hummed as he knew that even if they couldn't disarm the bomb, they would still not be able to remove it from it's location in time before it explodes. But following Zinogtor's command, would mean that the Maximal would have a chance to tamper with it in a way that the Predacons may not expect.
"Come on! Would you'd rather be vaporized?!" Puss questioned the Predacon Leader.

Megatron looked at the bomb.

Zinogtor, Puss, and Terralos all looked at Megatron.
Eight...
"Do it!" Megatron ordered with a firm nod.

Zinogtor quickly shoved Terralos, with Puss hanging onto his shoulder.

"C'mon, remember me? Ole fumble fingers?" Zinogtor said as his finger released a pair of bomb wire cutters.
Five
He soon cut the wires, disarming the anchors. Puss then picked up the bomb and threw it into the air.
Four
"GO!" Puss shouted as he threw it up as hard as he could to Terralos, who quickly reverted back into Astalos Mode just as the roof doors opened allowing Terralos to fly through the roof.

Zinogtor and Puss both looked at each other nervous.
Two
Terralos flew up as high and as fast as possible before he tossed the bomb away with his feet far away.
One
The bomb soon exploded into a massive explosion that quickly forced the Predacon Terralos away in a matter of seconds, leaving with only a screech.
"And now for you!" Megatron said as he turned his attention to the Maximal intruder.
"Sorry but us cat and dog are going to have to pounce!" Puss said with a victorious grin as Zinogtor jumped onto the console and transformed back into Monster Mode with the Felyne riding on his back.
Megatron quickly fired two shots at Puss and Zinogtor, but they teleported away back to the Axalon, making Megatron destroy the console teleporter.
Terralos soon came crashing down onto the screen, groaning in pain as he did so.
"Aww, slag." Terralos cured before he passed out.
Back on the Axalon...
We soon see Zinogtor and Puss teleporting their way through the survey posts, destroying each other as they passed through them at breakneck speed before arriving on top of the Axalon's console.
"Hiya, cats. Miss us?" Zinogtor said with a cheeky grin.
"PUSS! ZINOGTOR! YOU'RE ALIVE!" Aiden said as he rushed and gave the Palico and Maximal a hug, relieved to see that they are alright.
"Hey watch it meow, Aiden. We just arrived here at speeds I don't have words for nyow." Puss said as he shoved himself off of Aiden's hug.
After the storm had passed, we soon see the Maximals gathered in a circle around Puss and Zinogtor talking to each other.
"Hey, Zinogtor, Puss. We got your disk. You saved us from ourselves, sons. Thanks." Barronox said in a monotone happy tone that the young Maximals had saved themselves from themselves.
Wulgtrap, who was leaning against Barronox, checking for any gunk in his claws. "Yeah! Ya two might have stepped in it, kid, but ya both came out smellin' like a rose."
"All parta bein' perfect." Zingotor said, enjoying the praise before looking at Velocibot, who had his arms crossed, he let out a low growl before turning around and walking back to his room.
"Sorry for disobeyin' your orders, Big Bot." Zinogtor apologized for not listening to Optimus' orders.
"You don't need to earn my respect, Zinogtor, you've always had it." Optimus told the young Maximal. "And you did end up saving the day. But be warned! If you EVER pull a stunt like that again I'll have your tail on a sling!"
"OK, Ok! I-I'll never do it again!" Zinogtor promised that he won't pull anything like that ever again, before he turned his head away and spoke under his breath.
"Until the next time!"
Optimus and the others had heard what Zinogtor said, and glared at the young Maximal who just raced down the hallway. Barronox, Puss, Aiden, Scrappy, and Wulgtrap all laughed at Zinogtor words. And before long, Optimus began to laugh too.
Today, was a day for better peace, and another day in the Monster Wars has ended.
