Sinister was at his computer in his new lair, doing further research on the one who had captured his scientific imagination.
Danny Phantom.
"File 10-4-O-6-VM." Sinister ordered his computer to play a clip of the Red Huntress firing at a young Danny Phantom.
He was evading her shots as his hands glowed with energy.
"Stop." Sinister said as the footage stopped. "Analysis." The computer showed several files on him, including an X-ray.
"File 1-0-4-0-6-VX." Sinister was shown a photo of Danny and Red Huntress glaring at each other. "Stop. Analysis." He was given additional data.
"File 18-74-MI." It showed Danny flying in the air. "Analysis." More information about the hybrid was shown.
Sinister looked over the other files. "File 24-16-SM. Stop. File 32-99-IM. Stop. Analysis. Conclusion?"
The computer took in all this as it came to its conclusion. "Inconclusive data. Experiment cannot be completed without mid-morph sample."
"Bah, even with the old files that I found in the systems of Masters, I'm still missing the one piece that I need to complete my life's work." Sinister raged as he looked over the pod that contained his creation. He ran his hand over it. "The perfect being. To walk the plains of both life and death. I almost have it."
Sinister snapped his fingers as four pods behind him glowed. Three of them opened, revealing an experiment of Sinister's.
One was a ghost wearing a bed sheet.
The second was a huge, buff, shirtless ghost wearing only black pants.
The last was some kind of glowing green speck.
"You know what to do." Sinister informed the trio.
"Yes, father." The three said in unison.
"Then go." Sinister commanded as the ghosts went out to fulfill his will.
Sinister then looked at the pod that didn't open. "If they fail, then I will require your assistance." He then turned to the first pod as he looked at what was inside. He sacrificed everything to get to this point. He gave up everything, including his humanity, in the name of science.
He even gave up his birth name.
Nathaniel Essex.
Essex had always been fascinated by the theories of Charles Darwin. In particular, the groundbreaking work assembled in his Origin of Species. His whole interest in genetics all started with him attempting to save his wife, Rebecca, from a deadly disease. In his work, he became the director of an asylum. Essex took in poor, unfortunate souls who could not function in normal society. Disreputable procurers knew he would pay well. So they aided him in seeking out these people in the traveling carnivals and dumb shows, where they were obliged to earn their keep.
At one lecture, he showed his progress, only for the audience to turn on him. Even Charles Darwin, a man he admired, said that his work was mere parlor trickery and quackery. Essex's own outraged behavior and mad theories would lead to his expulsion from the Royal Society.
This disgraced him, as he became even more obsessed with his research. But he met failure after failure. As time passed, he grew more reclusive. Eccentric. A fanatic. Stories of strange goings-on at the Grey Hall Asylum circulated around Parliament and made their way into the papers. Essex and his father-in-law, Lord Grey, became estranged while Rebecca's condition worsened.
Even the most advanced techniques of medical science were to no avail. And though Essex still fought to save Rebecca, his growing fascination with human mutation became all-consuming.
He was later visited by his colleague, James Xavier, who was disturbed to see how pale Essex had become. He showed Xavier his work, which he had done on his patients, except Xavier was horrified by what he had done. The two fought, which ended with the patients escaping into the streets.
Xavier then rallied the townspeople to run out of town before they invaded his home and destroyed his work.
He had tried to get Rebecca and flee, but even she was afraid of what he had become as she saw his red eyes.
It was then that Nathaniel Essex was no more.
He was Mr. Sinister.
Sinister gave one final look to his newest creation.
"You will be perfected."
The male members of the X-Men entered a clothing store.
"Fabricio!" Scott called out as he placed a shoulder around Danny's shoulder. "I need the best suit for my friend, Danny. He's getting married."
Gambit patted Danny on the back. "Gambit always knew this day would come. Though Gambit expected it to be much sooner."
"Yeah." Logan grunted. "I remember when you and Rogue first met and when she first touched you without hurting you. I was half expecting her to drag you to the chapel and get hitched right then and there."
"A humorous statement, though I am glad that you and Rogue have a healthy relationship with love and boundaries." Beast said. "Your feelings for each other have grown strong over the years, and I am glad to see that you have reached the next step."
"Maybe you two might have kids one day." Scott suggested.
"Such a plethora of possibilities with the mixture of mutant and half-ghost genetics." Beast said in awe as he thought over what a child of Danny and Rogue would be like.
"I can't wait for the bachelor party." Logan said.
"About that." Danny said. "I don't feel comfortable looking at a bunch of strippers."
"But that's the whole point of a bachelor party." Gambit protested. "You ain't engaged yet, and Rogue is already the ball and chain."
"Yeah, Casper." Logan agreed. "What happened to your sense of fun?"
"Hey, knock it off, guys." Scott told them. "Don't worry, Danny, we'll do something else. How do you want to spend your bachelor party?"
Danny grinned as he got the perfect idea.
"The hell kinda bachelor party is this?" Gambit grumbled as the guys were in a crowd watching a space shuttle launch.
Danny ignored him as he cheered along with the rest of the crowd.
"Come on, Gambit." Scott said to him. "It's exciting."
Gambit just scowled.
The guys were then driving home as it was getting late.
"Well, Gambit never thought he see a space shuttle launch at night." Gambit commented.
"I think it makes it more beautiful." Danny said. He was geeking out, but it was ruined when his ghost sense went off.
"Ah, great." Logan grumbled. "Now we got to deal with a ghost." Logan looked out the window of the car. "I wonder where it is."
"I think I found it." Scott said as he stopped the car. In front of them, standing in the middle of the road, was something wearing a white bedsheet.
"That's the worst ghost I have ever seen." Wolverine said as he gave it a critical look.
"What is this, the ghost of Charlie Brown?" Gambit asked.
"He doesn't appear to be malevolent." Beast said. "Perhaps this area is his home." He hypothesized.
"Here, I'm gonna go talk to him." Danny said as he got out of the car. He approached the ghost. "You all right, buddy?"
As soon as the ghost made eye contact with Danny, it moved at breakneck speed to tackle him as the two collided with the car.
The others got out of the car as Danny pushed the ghost off of him.
"What do you got under there?" Danny asked the ghost as he pulled off the bedsheet, revealing a skeleton.
"Change back." It said before it punched Danny.
"A skeleton?" Logan looked at it. "Not that impressive, but better than the bedsheet."
Danny fired an ecto-blast at the ghost, knocking it into a tree.
The X-Men walked over to it as it started to twitch.
"Danny Phantom." It rasped before it started to melt into a green puddle.
"What the hell was that?" Scott asked.
Danny shook his head. "I don't know."
Beast grabbed a vial and collected a sample of the puddle.
"Perhaps an analysis will provide us with an answer." He said.
It was the day of the wedding, and everyone was getting ready for Danny and Rogue's special day.
Rogue was with the other X-Women as they styled your hair.
"Trust me, Rogue. When I'm done with you, Danny's mouth will drop to the floor when he sees you." Jean promised as she did Rogue's hair.
"Sure thing, Jeannie. Just make sure he'll be able to compose himself to say, I do." Rogue laughed.
"I'm so happy for you, Rogue." Storm said. "You, of all people, deserve to experience the joy of marriage."
"Thanks, Storm." Rogue replied.
"I'm so excited that you're gonna be my sister-in-law, Rogue." Jubilee said. "Danny's lucky to have you."
Rogue smiled at Jubilee. "Thanks, hon. But you've always been family to me." She brought Jubilee into a hug.
"Speaking of family, what if Mystique tries to show up and ruin everything?" Jubilee asked, not wanting the blue-skinned woman to ruin her brother's wedding.
The southern belle smirked. "I got that handled."
Mystique was in a log cabin, tied up, and Sabretooth was watching over her as he spoke to Logan over the phone.
"Alright, I've got her tied up, and I'll make sure she goes nowhere." Sabretooth informed Logan. "Now you'll keep your end of the bargain, and you won't sic your friend on me, right?" He asked fearfully, not wanting to deal with an angry Danny.
Logan smirked as he could hear Sabretooth's fear. "Just make sure she doesn't ruin the wedding, bub. Or you'll personally be dealing with Casper's wrath." He said before hanging up.
"I got the blue bitch handled." Logan said as Danny was getting ready with all the men looking him over.
Danny gave Logan an impressed look. "I can't believe you actually worked with Sabretooth to keep Mystique from crashing this wedding."
Logan patted him on the shoulder. "Only for you, bub. Only for you. I owe you after all we've been through."
"Yeah, I know." Danny said. "Weapon X, Japan, and World War II."
"What do you mean World War II?" Logan demanded.
"Remember that mission where you and Cap were betrayed by Andre Cocteau?" Danny said. "I was Cap. Beast ended up sending me back to that time, and I ended up crashing into Captain America, so I took his outfit and pretended to be him."
Logan couldn't believe it. "But if that were true, how come I didn't recognize your scent when we first met during the incident with the Sentinels?"
"Before Beast sent me back in time, I sprayed myself with something that covered my scent." Danny explained.
"Well, I'll be damned." Logan said. "No matter where I go, I'm always stuck with you."
"Anyway, we're glad to be here with you for your day with Rogue." Scott said. "It feels like yesterday when you first joined the team, and here we are now."
"Yes." Xavier rolled in. "Ever since you have joined the X-Men, you have helped all of us, including myself. But you have helped Rogue most of all. You have provided her with love, which her powers had denied her for so long. I'm certain that you two will live a long and happy life together."
"Thank you, professor." Danny said gratefully.
Sinister narrowed his eyes at his computer as it showed that the ecto-signature for one of the clones had vanished. That only means that it has destabilized.
He turned to the other pod and opened it, revealing a younger female version of Danny Phantom.
"Father." She said as she looked at Sinister.
"Danielle, you are needed." Sinister told her. He pointed to a screen that showed a picture of Danny.
Dani's eyes glowed.
Morph was getting everything ready when he heard the doorbell ring. Opening it, he was greeted by a teenage girl with black hair and blue eyes.
"Can I help you?" Morph asked.
"Hi, is Danny here? I'm his cousin." Dani said.
"Oh, ok." Morph let her in as he took her to Danny.
Danny and the guys heard a knock on the door as Morph came in, leading in Dani.
"Hey, your cousin is here." Morph said.
"Dani!" Danny gasped in happiness as he brought her into a hug, which confused Dani as she wasn't expecting Danny to know her.
Danny finished the hug as he examined her. "I can't believe you're here!" He said in excitement before he got a questioning look in his eye. "How did you get here? You don't have a time medallion. Are you from this time period?"
Dani's brain had shut down as she tried to think of an answer. Any answer that would satisfy him, but she could only open her mouth and close it repeatedly as she couldn't form any words.
"You can tell me later." Danny told her as he hugged her again. "I'm just so glad I get to see you again. I missed you."
This finally got Dani to speak. "You missed me?" She asked hesitantly.
"Of course I did." Danny told her. "You're my daughter."
"Daughter?" Dani gasped.
"Of course." Danny replied. "You come from my DNA."
Dani didn't know what to say; she never got this much fatherly affection from her creator. But she couldn't betray Sinister; he was the one who made her. She owed him everything for that.
"Looks like we got another guest for the wedding." Logan said.
"Wedding?" Dani asked.
Danny smiled brightly. "Yeah, I'm getting married. I would love for you to be there."
As the two hybrids were conversing, Beast whispered into Scott's ear.
"I doubt Vlad has made her in this timeline, and it appears she isn't from another timeline, so she exists in this time period." Beast said. "But I wonder, if Vlad didn't make her, then who did?"
This made Scott suspicious. "You think this might be a trap?"
"Well, this wouldn't be the first time we've been attacked at a wedding between two of our members." Beast reminded him.
Just then, both Danny and Dani's ghost senses went off.
"Oh, come on!" Scott yelled in irritation. "Why can't we have a wedding where we're not under attack?"
"Scott, I think that's one of the guests." Danny said as he invited some ghosts to the wedding."
"Oh, right." Scott said in relief before they heard smashing and furniture breaking.
"No, wait, I was wrong." Danny said as he turned ghost, with him and the X-Men going to inspect what was going on.
Dani watched them go as she remembered what her creator told her to do.
"Gain his trust."
The guys appeared in the living room along with the ladies, who also heard the commotion.
"What the hell is going on?" Rogue demanded before all the X-Men saw what was causing all the noise.
It was a huge, muscular ghost with gray skin; it sported a black mohawk, and the only clothing it wore was black pants.
The ghost glared at them with his familiar green eyes. The creature roared and tried to smash them with his hands as they all moved out of the way.
"What's his problem?" Wolverine ducked as he threw the couch. "Angry about not getting invited to the wedding?"
Scott fired his ecto-blast from his visor as it pushed the ghost back, with Danny firing his own.
"Man, he looks like I do on a bad day." Danny commented as he saw the ghost's glare.
The ghost crashed into a wall as Rogue grabbed him by the leg.
"No one is ruining my wedding day!" Rogue then threw the ghost into the kitchen, where it landed on the table, breaking it.
With a growl, the ghost got up and marched towards the heroes before Dani appeared in its path in her ghost form. She fired a ghost ray at it, with Danny and Scott joining in as they made a hole in the ghost's chest before it melted into goo again.
"It's getting weirder and weirder." Danny said at seeing another ghost melt after fighting it. He was gonna ask questions when Dani fell unconscious, turning back to her human form.
Xavier rolled in. "What's going on? What?" He then noticed Dani in Danny's arms. "Dani? What is she doing here?"
"Dani?" Rogue noticed that she was back as she looked at the unconscious girl. "What's she doing here?"
"She's back?" Jubilee said in happiness. Finally, she could have someone here to hang out with who was her own age.
"We're not dealing with another terrible future, are we?" Xavier asked.
Danny shook his head. "No, she has no time medallion or any other time machine with her as far as I can see. So, I'm betting she's from this time period, but who made her? I don't think Vlad did it."
"And what about these ghosts?" Beast asked as he collected a sample of the ectoplasm in the kitchen. "This is the second one we encountered that has melted. The strange thing is they have a resemblance to you, Danny."
"Me?" Danny asked.
"That skeleton ghost had the same exact posture and structure as you." Beast noted. "And this one had your hair, eyes, and facial features."
"Now that you mention it, it did look like Casper, if Casper was the Hulk." Logan commented.
"You think there's a connection between these ghosts and Danny?" Xavier asked.
"I cannot say for sure until I analyze these samples." Beast said. "And I think I may need a DNA sample from you, Danny, along with Dani, as I believe that she may also be connected to this."
"You think those two could have been failed clones?" Danny asked.
"It's possible." Beast answered. "But until I do some research, we won't know for sure."
"Alright." He handed Beast Dani. "She's tired from the fight; you can take her to the infirmary."
Beast carried Dani to the infirmary as Rogue sighed in displeasure.
"Rogue, are you all right, honey?" Danny asked. "Are you not happy about seeing Dani?"
"No!" Rogue said, not wanting her soon-to-be husband to get the wrong idea. "I'm just worried that whatever is going on is gonna ruin our wedding."
Danny kissed her on the cheek. "No matter what happens, we're getting married. Nothing is gonna stop us."
"But you saw me in my dress before the wedding." Rogue protested. "That means bad luck."
"No bad luck is gonna stop me from making you my wife." Danny kissed her as the X-Men smiled.
Logan grinned. "That's true love right there."
Sinister looked at his monitor as he realized he had only two clones left at his disposal.
He decided to take action as he headed to his jet. "If you want something done right, you've got to do it yourself."
A couple of hours later, everything was ready as Danny stood at the altar, waiting for his bride to come.
"This is it." Scott whispered to Logan. "Nothing can stop this wedding now."
Danny's ghost sense went off.
Logan rolled his eyes. "You just had to open your mouth, bub."
A green speck of light appeared in the room as it floated around all the guests before bugging the X-Men and finally flying around Danny, who got a good look at it. Although the ghost was small, he saw that it looked just like him.
Realizing this could be another clone, he turned ghost and flew after it as they both phased through the wall.
"Danny, wait!" The guys cried as they tried to chase him down.
The phantasmal hero was chasing the speck when Dani appeared right next to him.
"Race ya." She offered playfully before she flew ahead of him.
Danny laughed; despite his reservations about Dani's origins, he was happy to see that she seemed happy. "You are on."
He flew after her before looking around as he landed. "No sign of her or that other one. I wonder where they all came from."
"They came from me." A familiar evil voice said.
Danny turned around and saw Sinister smirking at him.
"What? Sinister?" Danny didn't think he would run after him so soon, considering his lab was trashed after the Phalanx incident.
"Of course, fool." Sinister replied. "Who else?"
"What do you want?" Danny demanded.
"You, Daniel." Sinister replied. "You are the last piece I need to complete my puzzle."
He fired beams from his hands, as did Danny, as they were in a beam lock.
Danny noticed that Dani was behind him. "Dani, get help."
Dani smirked nefariously. "Oh, I will." She blasted him in the back, knocking him out.
"Did I do good, Daddy?" Dani asked Sinister.
Sinister gave a twisted smile. "You did excellent, child. I could not wish for a better daughter."
The mad scientist grabbed Danny and threw him over his shoulder as he, Dani, and the speck all got on the jet.
Cyclops, Gambit, Logan, and Beast caught up as they saw the villains take off with Danny in Sinister's jet.
"Oh, no! Sinister's got Danny!" Gambit cried.
"And I think I know who made Dani." Scott said.
Logan shook his head. "Poor kid is working with Sinister and doesn't know he's only gonna betray her."
"We have to head back and tell the others." Scott said.
"Remy scared of how Rogue's gonna react." Gambit said.
"HE'S WHAT!" Rogue yelled as everyone looked at her in fear.
"What do you mean he's missing?" Rogue cried as she clenched her fists. "This is our wedding day!"
"Tell that to Sinister." Logan muttered before his eyes widened as he realized Rogue heard him.
That gave Rogue an idea. "You know what? That's exactly what I'm gonna do."
She went into a room and changed from her wedding gown into her uniform. "We're gonna find Danny and rescue him from Sinister's clutches."
"We can track him using his ecto-signature." Beast said as they all headed to the War Room and got his location on the monitor.
"There it is!" Scott pointed. "We'll head there and rescue him."
"Well, what are we waiting for?" Rogue asked. "Let's go!"
"What about Dani?" Jubilee asked. "What do we do about her? You said she was in league with Sinister."
"We'll get to that when we cross that road." Scott said as they all left to get into their uniforms.
The X-Men then got on the Blackbird and headed to stop Sinister and get their friend back.
Danny woke up and found that he was in a cube that was keeping him from going ghost. The same one Vlad had him trapped in when they first met.
"I got to talk to Vlad about guarding his equipment more." Danny muttered to himself before he noticed Sinister at a computer. On the computer, Danny was changing his forms over and over. He then looked around and saw a pod that contained an exact copy of him.
To Danny, it was like looking in a mirror. He couldn't believe that Sinister would go this far. "I can't believe you would try to clone me. You're more of a fruit loop than Vlad ever was."
Sinister chuckled at Danny's humor. "Very amusing, Daniel. But this isn't a joking matter, for this is when I finally complete my life's work and achieve the impossible." Sinister then walked over to the pod that contained the prime clone. "It's taken months, and the prime clone still needs more time before he can accept your DNA."
"So Beast was right; they weren't regular ghosts, were they? They were clones too." Danny said as the speck flew around him, with Dani watching the conversation while invisible.
"Bad clones. Mistakes." Sinister waved off as the speck grew to normal size, looking like a deformed version of Danny, as one of its eyeballs fell to the ground and melted. "And I would watch a hundred more failures devolve into ectoplasm to get the perfect result."
"Oh, yeah. Nothing crazy about that." Danny said sarcastically.
"Are you under the impression that you're escaping?" Sinister asked in an amused tone. "That's unlikely. You see, Daniel, I need a DNA sample of your mid-morph to complete my work."
The sinister scientist snapped his fingers as the speck went back to its tiny size before it overshadowed Danny.
"Get out of me!" Danny shouted as he fought the urge to transform as Dani watched on.
Sinister folded his arms. "And then I will have the perfect creation."
Danny was then taken from the cube and placed into a pod to get a sample of the mid-morph.
Despite being overshadowed, Danny was putting up a fight as the chamber was starting to overload.
"Subject is still resisting morph." The computer informed Sinister. "Containment chamber beginning to overload."
It then exploded as Danny got out before he forced the speck clone out. He then phased through Sinister as he tried to find a way out.
"Damn it!" Sinister shouted at seeing his life's dream being interrupted. He turned around to chase Danny when he ran into Dani. "What do you want, Danielle?" He asked coldly.
"Am I an imperfection?" Dani asked with tears in her eyes. "A mistake?"
"No." Sinister said. "I wasn't talking about you, but the other clones." He gestured to the speck as it melted, with Dani crying out in fear. "I know. It's horrible, isn't it? That's why I need Daniel's DNA. To stabilize you and your brother. My greatest creations."
"Really?" Dani asked hopefully.
"Yes." Sinister told her. "That's why I need your help. Go get him."
Danny was wandering around Sinister's lab as he tried to find a way out.
"Which way should I go?" He said to himself before being blasted by Dani.
Dani glared at him. "You're not going anywhere." She sent another blast that Danny blocked with a shield. "Stop fighting. I know you're too weak to beat me."
"I'm not fighting you." Danny told her. "Every time I fight a clone, they turn to goop."
Dani looked down as she was charging an ecto-blast and saw that her feet were starting to melt.
She screamed as she stopped her attack. Now that she wasn't wasting any energy, she stopped melting.
"But you're not mindless like those other clones." Danny said. "I don't wanna hurt you."
"Then let my dad have your morph DNA." Dani replied. "So he can save me."
"He's not going to save you." Danny said bluntly. "He's using you. You're nothing but a mess he's not gonna clean up."
"You're a liar, and I'm gonna prove it." Dani tried to grab him, but Danny caught her wrists.
"Dani, it doesn't have to be this way." Danny told her. "Come with me. Beast and the professor can find a way to stabilize you. You can live with me, Rogue, and all the others. You'll have family, and you'll be accepted. You'll be my daughter."
This got Dani's curiosity. "Earlier, you recognized me; how?"
"I met a version of you from an alternate timeline." Danny explained. "She came back to warn me and my friends about a terrible future, and together we stopped it."
"What happened to her?" Dani asked in intrigue.
Danny looked down. "When we changed the future, she decided to erase herself from existence. I tried to stop her, but she said she didn't belong in this timeline. I missed her for so long. That's why I was so happy to see you again."
"But I'm not her." Dani pointed out.
"No, you're not." Danny agreed. "Just like how you aren't me. You're your own person, Dani. Even still, I want to be there in your life. I want to be your father. Please leave Sinister. I know him; he once manipulated one of my friends and tortured him mentally, just like he'll do to you."
Dani thought about what Danny said. It was a tempting offer. To be a normal girl and have a family, but Sinister made her. Everything she was, she owed to him.
"Sinister made me. I can't betray him." She said.
"Sinister doesn't deserve you, and I'll prove it." Danny said. "Let's go."
Dani had a confused look. "What?"
"You said you wanted to take me back to Sinister, so do it then." Danny said.
Hesitantly, Dani led Danny back to the lab and placed him in one of the pods.
"All secure, Dad." Dani said to Sinister.
"I still don't know how I'm going to get him to morph." Sinister pondered. "Unless." He thought of an idea that could work. "Unless you could overshadow him for me. Force the transformation."
"But the last clone that tried that melted." Dani said. "What if it's too much?"
"It won't." Sinister replied.
"But..." Dani's reply was cut off as Sinister glared at her.
"You exist to serve me!" He roared. "Just do it!"
Dani had a heartbroken look on her face at her creator's cruelty before it turned into a glare. "You are not the boss of me!" She pressed a button as Danny was released from the pod.
"No!" Sinister cried.
Danny smirked at Dani. "Told you I was right."
Dani returned the smirk. "You want to stand here talking, or do you want to kick some butt?"
"You're definitely my daughter." Danny said as the two fired their ghost rays at Sinister, knocking him into the pod that contained the prime clone.
"Nice." Danny congratulated Dani as Sinister pushed the pod off of him.
He glanced down and saw that the prime clone was melting.
"Prime clone destabilized." The computer said. "Degeneration happening."
The prime clone held out a hand to Sinister before it melted away.
"No!" Sinister cried as his dreams shattered before his very eyes. "No! NOOO!"
He turned his fiery glare on Dani as he prepared to make her pay.
Dani's fists glowed with energy as she was ready to defend herself. "I can do this."
Danny got in front of her. "You don't have to. Cover your ears." He unleashed his Ghostly Wail as it pushed Sinister through a wall, and the entire lab was destroyed along with all of his research.
"Wow, that was incredible!" Dani praised.
Danny merely smiled as the two then saw the Blackbird crash through the lab. The hatch opened as Rogue flew towards Danny and wrapped her arms around him, afraid that he would vanish if she let go.
"Oh, Danny! I'm so glad you're okay, sugar." She placed several kisses on his face as the X-Men joined them.
"I'm glad that you're all right, Danny." Jubilee said as she hugged him. She then noticed Dani. "What about her? Is she on our side now?"
Danny nodded. "Yeah, she was just manipulated by Sinister like Morph was."
Dani was feeling guilty as she looked at the X-Men. "I'm sorry for kidnapping your friend."
"It's all right, Dani." Danny reassured her. "No one's hurt." He turned to Beast. "Beast, she's not stabilized; do you think you can help with that?"
Beast gave a kind smile to Dani. "It would be my pleasure."
Dani then turned to Rogue as she remembered that she ruined her wedding day. "Rogue, I'm sorry for crashing your wedding."
Rogue leaned down and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Honey, it ain't ruined, just delayed. And I can't complain as I got a daughter now."
Dani gasped in delight. She knew Danny accepted her, but she never expected Rogue to do the same. "You mean?"
"Come to mama." Rogue brought her in for a hug, and Danny joined them as the three embraced as a family.
The others smiled at this heartwarming scene.
"That's sweet." Jubilee said before she realized something. "This means I'm an aunt. Awesome."
Sinister groaned in pain as the Blackbird took off. This may be a major setback, but he wouldn't quit. He would have the perfect being.
His musings were cut short as he felt a hand phase through the rubble and pull him out.
Dan Phantom glared at Sinister. "Hello, Sinister."
Sinister gasped as he recognized Dan's voice. "It's you. From the thermos." He then noticed that he had the same symbol as Danny. Before he could ask about that, Dan interrupted him.
"You've truly messed up, Sinister." Dan said as his eyes bore into Sinister's soul. If the mad doctor had one, that is. "My counterpart may be tolerant of your clones, but I'm not. I won't stand for any imitations or copies of my splendor. It's time to make sure you can never continue your work."
He phased the two underground as they headed straight to the core. Once they were near it, Dan let go of Sinister as he turned tangible and was incinerated.
Sinister was no more.
Danny had a big smile on his face as he saw Rogue marching toward him as the music played. Everything was set. The guests were all seated, including several ghosts. Among them were Frostbite and his tribe, Dora, Clockwork, and Wulf.
Steve and Martha were at the front, gazing proudly at the boy they took in.
There were also Moira, Banshee, and Kevin.
Vlad was there, sitting next to a recently stabilized Dani. The elder hybrid was amazed to learn that there was another one, as was Dani, who was unaware that Vlad was a hybrid as well.
He looked to his best men. Scott, Logan, Beast, and Gambit all gave him a thumbs up.
His smile then widened as the bridesmaids, which were Storm and Jean, came down, followed by Rogue, who was walking down the aisle with Xavier.
As they got closer, Xavier took a seat next to Morph and Jubilee, as Rogue was now in front of Danny.
Danny lifted her veil, revealing the bright smile that Rogue had on her face as she looked at her man with love in her eyes.
Kurt stepped forward with a Bible in his hand as he began his readings.
It then came time for the vows, as Danny went first.
"Rogue, ever since I met you, my life has been a fun adventure with you by my side. I hope that this adventure will always continue and that you will always be by my side. I'll treasure you forever, my love. I'll do everything in my power to make sure that you never feel sad again. Your ability to march on despite how hard life gets is really motivational. There are times that I wish I had your strength. You're the strongest person I've ever met, and nothing will ever give me greater pleasure than to be your husband. I love you, Rogue."
Now it was Rogue's turn.
"Danny, you're the best thing that has ever happened to me, without a doubt. You brightened my life when you walked into it. I never knew what love was until I met you. I didn't know what courage was either until I met you. You make me happy. Your heroism inspires me, along with your compassion for others. Sometimes I think that you're too good for me, which only encourages me to be my best. I love you, Danny Fenton. And you, Danny Phantom. But to me, you'll always be Danny. Whether human or ghost, you're the man who always drives me wild. And I will forever be honored to be your wife. I'll love you forever."
The two then exchanged rings before both saying I do.
Kurt then smiled as he said the next words. "I pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the..."
Immediately, Rogue jumped on Danny, who caught her as she wrapped her arms and legs around him and started to kiss him like her life depended on it.
"Groom apparently." Kurt said, getting everyone to laugh.
The newlywed couple raced down the aisle and to the car, where they got in as it sped off with everyone waving.
In the distance, someone was watching the car leave.
"Enjoy the honeymoon, Danny." Dan said. "Cause that's as good as it's ever gonna get for you."
Dan was planning to crash the wedding, but Sinister and his clones beat him to it as he stood back and just observed what was happening.
"You think this is your future?" Dan said. "A life with a wife and kid?" He sneered in disgust at the very idea. "No. You are destined to become me. There's no way around it, and I will see to it that you fulfill your destiny."
He then vanished as he prepared his plan to secure his future once and for all.
