The Raven Man Ritual

Ravens have long been believed to be bad omens. Carrion birds are not often looked upon kindly; as such, it's unsurprising that many cultures associate ravens with death and lost souls. However, they're also sometimes considered very wise indeed, which, given their less-than-savory reputation, may account for the Raven Man's dangerous nature.

This is the first thing Cream The Rabbit knows when she begins to perform the ritual.

Cream The Rabbit is the most kind and loving Mobian Bunny anyone has ever met, hence her intentions to summon the Raven Man are sincere but violent. She is aware of numerous serial killers who have murdered numerous children, all of whom were older than she is, though. Hence, Cream would learn about the Raven Man ritual and knew she had to summon him because doing so would have him carry out any assignment Cream wanted him to, either out of paranoia about the serial killers coming for her next or using violence for noble purposes.

The procedure for calling the Raven Men has two variations. However, because Cream is the only one conducting the ritual, only the one-player version of this ritual needs to be completed. Cream must begin the ritual in a silent, dark space, preferably away from cities where light pollution could lead to unforeseen and undesirable events. Cream planned to carry out the ritual at a deserted farm in a rural area.

Cream has the necessary equipment for the Raven Man ritual to be successful: Salt, five candles, and matches, as she didn't want to use a lighter. Needles, as she didn't want to use a knife to draw blood to use for the ritual; a candle snuffer; and a talisman, as she didn't want to use any of her toys as objects of protection.

Cream would schedule the ceremony for a cloudy, full moon night. She would close the drapes that had been left on the abandoned property to block any outside light. Cream would do this with her talisman on her at all times. After that, Cream would draw a circle of salt and stay outside of it and not to step into it. Then she would arrange the five candles in a straight line in front of her and start lighting them one by one.

Cream would recite the following incantation, lighting one candle per line.

"On this dark night... I call on The Raven Man... Appear before me here and now... And do my will..."

Cream would prick her finger with one of the needles and draw blood while she whimpered in pain. The fifth and last candle would then be touched with her blood, and she would recite the final line of the incantation.

"The flame is my beacon, the blood is my sacrifice.."

Cream would light the final candle, and the Raven Man's presence would be known, although he would be confined to the circle of salt. Most of the time, people would only feel the Raven Man's presence, but for people like Cream, she would see the Raven Man himself, who has the appearance of a young man with long, raven-colored hair. His skin would be smooth and gray, and his eyes would be white, but he would nevertheless have an attractive face that would make even the most handsome man on Earth look ugly in comparison. But true to the myths behind him, the Raven Man sports long wings for arms, completely covered in feathers.

Cream has only intended to ask him three questions, as to not overstep her bounds with the Raven Man.

"How have you been, Raven Man?" Cream spoke to him in a calm, assertive tone.

"I'm doing fine. You?"

"I'm also doing fine. Thank you, Raven Man." Cream replied respectfully.

Cream would ask another question to the Raven Man.

"How long have you been around?" Cream asked him.

"I've been around ever since humanity and the Ravens themselves first knew each other..."

Cream would have chills run up her spine from the Raven Man's dark, deep, but calm voice.

"There's some tasks I want you to carry. Can you do that, Raven Man?" Cream asked her final question.

"Any task you give me, I can carry out..."

Cream bowed to the Raven Man respectfully.

"There's a legion of serial killers out there, murdering children who were older than me. I want you to make their deaths look like accidents, Raven Man, so no more will have to suffer their violence..." Cream gives him his first task.

"I most certainly can..."

"Thank you, Raven Man. Can you also murder past and future criminals that have and will cause violence in the future?" Cream asked him his second and final task.

"I shall..."

"Thank you for coming, Raven Man... Thank you for answering my questions, and thank you for granting my requests..." Cream says her goodbyes to him, which the only reply the Raven Man was a nod.

Cream would take her candle snuffer and put out each of the candles, which each word to finish the ritual.

"I... release... you... now... Raven Man..."

Once the candles were snuffed out, and the Raven Man is no longer present, Cream would clean up the salt. However, she would not dispose of it as she needs the salt to place it outside any doors leading into her home. She would also continue wearing her talisman for several days and not go anywhere without it. Doing so would invite the Raven Man to call upon her to do anything he asks of her. Creams know she doesn't want to do anything the Raven Man himself asks her to do.

Cream would watch the news of the mysterious deaths of dangerous criminals and the legion of serial killers caused by the Raven Man. These "accidental" deaths were brought on as the whole world was shocked by such a powerful event, almost as if a Act of God was sent to them. But Cream knew better, knowing she told the Raven Man to murder all the past and future criminals.

Cream would still rest easy, knowing that having her talisman close by for several days will ensure the Raven Man would leave her alone...
