There will be an original akuma in this chapter. Without Lila and Chloe being on her best behavior, there's no reason for Sabrina to be akumatized.
I also hope you enjoy what happens to Kagami in this chapter.
Marinette was trying to back to sleep. A pipe had burst at the school, flooding the building. Classes were canceled for the day while the plumbers and staff cleaned up the mess.
When Marinette had heard this, she went back upstairs to catch some extra hours of sleep. She was tossing and turning though because she couldn't get comfortable.
"Why can't I get comfortable?" she moaned as she pounded her mattress. A few of the lumpy spots went down only for them to pop up somewhere else.
"Do you want me to fluff your pillows?" Tikki asked as she hovered over the bed.
"I could be your cuddle buddy if you need one," Kiki added.
"It's worth a try."
Tikki quickly fluffed up the pillows, making sure her wielder's head would lie on something soft. Kiki wrapped her tiny tail around Marinette's right thumb. The teenager gave the kwami a soft squeeze
Marinette was starting to feel lethargic. She nuzzled under her covers and soon was fast asleep again.
Marinette woke up in her soul room in surprise. She hadn't heard from her others selves in months. The last time was when PT. Marinette had saved her version of the world from destruction.
Looking around the room, she saw the purple window glowing. She walked over and touched it. The window lit up along with every other stained glass window except for the indigo one.
One by one, Marinette's other selves came out of their windows. HJ. Marinette waved, while AJ. Marinette was running her hand through her hair to fix it.
PT. Marinette was helping BB. Marinette off the ledge of the window. M. Marinette looked as nervous. CN. Marinette seemed on edge.
"What is going on? Why did you call this meeting LB. Marinette?" CN. Marinette asked pointedly.
"I didn't, or I don't think I did."
"I actually called the meeting," M. Marinette admitted. "There's been some starling development in my world. I'm apprehensive what happened to me might happen in your worlds, which is why you're all here."
All the other Marinettes' sat down on the bench to hear what she had to say. M. Marinette quickly recapped her world in case someone had forgotten what was going on.
Only then did she tell them her news. "Have any of you learned about traitors from the Order of Guardians uniting to form the Society of the Exiles?"
LB, PT, and CN raised their hands. They quickly filled the other three in. They were curious about why M. Marinette was bringing up.
"About a month before my wedding, rumors were going around that a peculiar group was trying to break the dome. This wasn't the first time the governments of the world had tried to help us."
"What was different is this group was using magic." The others stared at M. Marinette in surprise. "TP. Adrien and I hoped this group could help us free the city."
"Were you able to meet them?" AJ. Marinette asked curiously.
"Yes, and it didn't go as planned," she informed them. 'We set up a meeting near the edge of the dome. There were five of them dressed in long black robes with silver threads forming a symbol. It was a reversed version of the symbol for the Order."
"They were carrying crystal staffs. At first, they were friendly and were conveying to us they could bring down the dome. This excited us of course. Finally, Paris would be part of the world once more."
M. Marinette closed her eyes for a few seconds before taking a deep breath. "There was a teenage girl with them. She seemed very impatient. Without warning she summoned a creature and had it attack the dome."
LB. Marinette asked what the creature looked like. M. Marinette was able to confirm it was a Feast monster.
"The creature attacked the dome. It took a bite out of it before jumping through the hole it created. I fought the creature while my beloved worked to close the hole."
Once more she paused as the memories washed over her. "We barely managed to defeat the creature. It took our collective powers to fix the hole. The group was not happy we defeated their monster."
"Why didn't they just summon more to bring the dome down? Why pretend to be allies if they could take what they wanted by force?" BB. Marinette questioned.
"I'm betting when Hawkmoth made that dome, he created rules of how it would work. Were you able to get a sense of how strong was the SOE member's magic was?" HJ. Marinette asked.
M. Marinette responded it was on the low end. The summoning of the creature appeared to use up all the castor's energy. That's probably the reason they presented themselves as allies.
"You're mission just became a lot harder. If you do defeat King Hawkmoth, then the SOE is posed to overrun you when your forces have been spent," AJ. Marinette summarized.
M. Marinette nodded in agreement. "I know aside from PT. Marinette; we're nearing the end of our fight against Hawkmoth. I just wanted to warn you to be cautious."
"You should all listen to her," PT. Marinette stated softly. The others looked at her, curious why she would say that.
"I can't say for certain, but in my world, I've been dealing with threats from a shadow group. The threats started about two months after I saved my world."
CN. Marinette laughed harshly. "So, we can all look forward to another magical enemy right after our current enemy faces justice! Ha! Who said the universe didn't have a sense of humor?"
LB. Marinette rolled her eyes at CN. Marinette's antics. "Thank you, for the warning. Does anyone else have something they want to share?"
The souls shook their heads. BB. Marinette did predict that one of them would bring the group back together very soon. With no more business to discuss, the souls returned to their soul rooms.
Marinette opened her eyes and looked at the clock. She was shocked she had been asleep for three hours. She carefully deposited Kiki on the bed before opening the skylight.
On her balcony, the teenager surveyed the city. The threat Monarch presented felt overwhelming. Marinette soundlessly promised herself she would make sure that once he was defeated, no one would misuse a Miraculous again.
At Master Fu's home, Ning had just given the latest update on the situation with Monarch. She had determined that only people with top clearance had access to the Alliance network.
That had narrowed the suspect pool considerably. She would continue her investigation until she knew the identity of Monarch and his partners. Her supervisors had been impressed by her progress.
She was going to take a walk when she felt the familiar sensation of a vision coming on. Ning rushed to sit down before the vision took over completely.
Ning found herself standing on the edge of a precipice. She looked down at the ground many miles away. All it would take was one step and she would die.
"Don't do it!" a tiny voice called out in her mind. Ning's POV changed as she blinked her eyes and glimpsed at the person, she had just been in. To her surprise, it was a dragon wielder.
He was a young man, probably in his twenties. His outfit was reminiscent of a ninja's. It was a dark red in the center and then turned black the further it went.
There was a small kanji over the heart that read Dragon King. The mask that covered his face had elegant gold whisker marks on it. His shoes had three claws sticking out from the tip.
Instead of a foil, there was a wakizashi attached to his back. He removed the chocker and Longg materialized. The man was staring at Longg, who had a pleading expression on his face.
"Please, Watatsumi. Don't kill yourself! You made a mistake, it happens."
The wielder, Watatsumi, looked at Longg before looking at the ground. "I have failed all my duties. I failed my mission leaving hundreds to go hungry. My own family will die because I couldn't save all of us."
Longg hissed that no one, not even a Miraculous wielder, could stand up against a tsunami. "You were very courageous to use your special ability to try and steer the winds away."
"I was a fool. My attempt to intervene only caused more damage. I should have listened to your wisdom and not to interfere with a force of nature."
"That doesn't mean death is the answer! You focused on the wrong thing this time, but you know better now. Focus on repairing the damage and helping one another."
The man turned his back to the kwami and whispered goodbye. "I renounce you Longg."
Ning watched in horror as Longg was sucked into his Miraculous. Watatsumi dropped the chocker. Taking one last breath, he walked off the precipice and fell to his death.
The vision ended and Ning found herself sitting on the guest bed. "That was unusual. I've never had a retrograde vision from a member of the CZMC. I wonder if that's because I haven't worn their Kwami Charms until recently."
At least she understood the message behind the vision. Longg was still trapped in the Kwami World but was worried for his current wielder. He was right to be after what she had recently endured.
"I'll check on Kagami tomorrow," she promised to herself. Climbing to her feet, she left the room to talk to her father about the vision she just had.
The next day, Peace Keeper didn't find Kagami at her home. Concerned, she went to the school and spotted the girl in class. She decided to wait until lunchtime to approach her.
When lunchtime started, Peace Keeper noticed Tomoe's car was parked in front of the school. There was also another car parked a few feet down from it. She was a little surprised when Kagami ignored her mother's car and went into the other one.
She followed the car through the city until it came to a modest apartment building. Kagami got out of the car, along with a man whom Peace Keeper recognized as the girl's father.
"What is she doing with him? Her mother has full custody and only permits minimum contact between Kagami and her father," Peace Keeper told herself. That's when she noticed Tomoe's car was only a few blocks away.
Something serious was going on. Serious enough that Longg wanted Peace Keeper to keep his wielder safe. She wouldn't let the kwami down.
Longg's Kwami Charm led her to Kagami's apartment. She used her jetpack to fly to the building and knock on Kagami's window.
The girl initially flinched but relaxed when she saw who it was. She unlocked the window and let the U.N. agent inside. "Why are you here?" she asked.
"Longg is worried about your mental health. He asked me to check on you to see if you're okay."
Kagami smiled for a second before resuming her usual expression. "My mental health has been rocky as of late. I hope that it will be resolved today."
"This has something to do with your parents', doesn't it?"
The teenager nodded. She motioned to the door and the two sat down to listen to what was going on.
"Where is Kagami? She should be with me having lunch right now!" Tomoe bellowed.
"Tomoe, please lower your voice. We want this conversation to be private, remember?" Isamu spoke gently.
In the living room, Tomoe sat down. Her lips were pressed tightly. "Why did you pick up Kagami for lunch? She's supposed to eat at home. For that matter, what are you even doing in Paris?"
Isamu didn't respond right away. Instead, he went to the kitchen and came back with two cups of tea. "I'm happy to talk with you Tomoe. I think our conversation would go better if you were a bit calmer. Please, drink. I made your favorite."
Tomoe took the tea from her ex-husband and took a sip. He was right, she was feeling calmer. "Thank you for the tea."
"You're welcome. I will answer your questions, but I ask you to keep your voice down. I don't want my new neighbors making complaints against me."
Tomoe was curious why Isamu used the words neighbors. His home was in Tokyo, not Paris. He had given her no notice he was back in the city.
Isamu explained that Kagami had asked her father to come to Paris. That their daughter's relationship with her mother was fraying.
"Before you do anything, understand those are Kagami's words not mine. I have no wish to interfere with the custody arraignment. She wanted me to be her advocate in this discussion."
"She has no need for one. Kagami is being extremely childish and disobedient. She is ruining her life by allowing her emotions to control her," Tomoe stated firmly.
Isamu's eyebrows narrowed somewhat. "I find your belief that our daughter is acting childish to be concerning. It is not childish to want comfort after a trauma. What you saw as disobedient, I see as maturity."
"Kagami informed me what occurred right before her akumanzation." He took a sip of his tea and then set it down. He continued speaking in a stern tone.
"You struck our child, Tomoe. That is not the method we discipline our daughter. While she shouldn't have back-talked to you, she was not wrong when she asked for a say in her future."
"What would you know about planning for the future?" Tomoe asked coldly. "Kagami is destined for great things as the heir to her clan and my business empire. I'm making the hard choices for her because I intend for her to succeed."
Isamu replied he had nothing against that. Kagami herself had said she didn't mind an arranged marriage. "The problem with you making all these decisions on our daughter's behalf is that the choices are based on what you want."
"Are you that determined to make Kagami suffer once we are gone? How can she find harmony if she is living your life and not hers?"
Tomoe snapped she knew their daughter the best. He hadn't been there for Kagami growing up. Isamu evenly reminded his ex-wife she was the one who made it that way.
"You want to know why Kagami asked me to come to Paris? She is frightened of you, Tomoe. Since the launch of your Alliance Ring, you have been cold and aloof."
"Kagami's whole life revolves around you, Tomoe. She is overly dependent on you and your sudden change in behavior, such as keeping secrets, has shaken her confidence."
"As I said, she is being childish. She should be able to perform without me holding her hand. She needs to do as she's told, and stop whining."
Isamu was running out of patience. He banged his teacup onto the table. He demanded to know why his ex-wife was being a hypocrite. He spoke over Tomoe, not letting the woman speak.
"You want Kagami to be mature and independent. However, when she takes steps to show you these things you scold her for it. You want her to reach success on her own, but only if she follows your path to it."
"Our little dragon has done everything you ask and more. It still isn't enough for you! You say you know our daughter the best but do you even know what she wants for herself?"
I am certain that I know exactly what I am doing when it comes to raising my child. Unless you want to get in a legal battle, I suggest you tell Kagami to get out here now. We're leaving!"
Isamu told her she was right. He couldn't interfere with Tomoe's custody rights. However, France's CPS could intervene if they felt Kagami wasn't safe with Tomoe.
He slid some braille documents over to Tomoe. The woman read them and grimaced. Her failure to appear at the hospital twice when Kagami had been admitted, hadn't gone unnoticed.
Tomoe didn't show up for Kagami's police interview after the girl's akumatization. There were also concerns about what Tomoe had done that led to her daughter being akumatized.
"It's a temporary order of protection preventing you from having any contact with Kagami. I told CPS, I would let Kagami live with me while the three of us work together to fix what's broken."
Isamu explained that he had leased the apartment for one year. He agreed that all legal decisions would still be under Tomoe's purview. Kagami would continue to follow her schedule.
The only difference was that their little dragon would be living with him instead of Tomoe's place. He hoped that some time apart would help mother and daughter figure out what they wanted from one another.
Knowing she couldn't do anything at this time, Tomoe said she would be back with her lawyer. Until then, she had to go.
Inside her new bedroom, Kagami let out a sigh of relief. She looked over to Peace Keeper. The woman had a serene expression on her face.
"Thank goodness your mother didn't challenge your father in this. I don't want to think of how this could have ended if your mother hadn't backed down."
The teenager wondered what Longg had shown the young woman that had made her so worried. The girl decided she didn't need to know that. Instead, she asked Peace Keeper to tell Longg that she was okay.
The next day, Ms. Bustier was preparing for another day at school. The brevet was only a month away. Starting now, classes would focus on reviewing everything.
Most of her students were doing well. A few students struggled to raise their test grades before exams. They required her assistance in obtaining the necessary points to pass the brevet.
Ms. Bustier was leaving when she felt a strong kick from her baby. She clenched her jaw and put her hand on the counter to help steady herself.
The baby kicked again and this one was more painful than the last. This time she needed to clutch the counter with both hands to steady herself.
"Caline, are you okay?" her wife Giselle asked as she entered the kitchen. Seeing her partner trying to hold herself up, the woman seized a chair and helped Caline sit down.
"You look pale really pale, Caline. I think we should go to the doctor."
The teacher shook her head. "It's nothing. The baby's just being more active than usual. Ow!"
Giselle pressed her hand against her partner's baby bump. A few seconds later she felt a strong kick followed by two more. The baby was indeed very active.
"I think you need to take the day off Caline. You're not going to be able to teach anyone if you're constantly getting kicked."
Caline shook her head. It was too late for her to call in sick. There would be no one to cover her classes. She needed to go to work.
"You have sixteen weeks of paid maternity leave. You could start taking it now."
"My students need me. I promised I would prepare them for the brevet and I intend to keep that promise." Plastering a smile on her face, she stood and picked up her bag.
"It will be fine, Giselle. One more month and the kids will start taking their final exams. I can hold out until then."
Giselle crossed her arms. "Your students shouldn't be your foremost priority right now. Taking care of yourself and our baby is."
"I'm sorry, but I have to go. I'll see you tonight," Caline told her wife. Still wincing in pain, she walked out the door and to the school.
Giselle was annoyed at her wife's actions. She loved that Caline took great care of her students. That's how she knew that her partner would make a great mom.
She just felt her partner was too altruistic for her own good. Caline's mind was always on her students. Giselle wanted to shake some sense into her to get her to listen.
"I'm not going to let this nonsense continue," she growled. She started dialing the principal's office. She was going to give Mr. Damocles a piece of her mind.
Mr. Damocles picked up on the second ring. "Hello, Francois Dupont College. Headmaster Damocles, speaking. How may I help you?"
"Mr. Damocles, this is Caline's wife, Giselle. When she arrives, you tell her to get her butt back home. She's not healthy enough to teach today."
"I understand but it's not that simple. Without prior notice, I can't leave her class without a teacher. The best I can do is cancel her afternoon classes."
Giselle demanded to know if he was joking with her. "Our baby is very lively today, Mr. Damocles. I had to force Caline to sit down because she was in that much pain!"
Gisele was getting greatly agitated as she continued to berate her wife's boss. She didn't notice the akuma gliding in from under the door.
"I don't care if you can't find a substitute on short notice. You will send Caline home and give her the rest of the week off. Do I make myself clear?"
The headmaster was babbling on the phone reiterating why he couldn't do what she asked. Gisele was preparing her counterargument when she felt someone inside her mind.
"Maternity, my name is Monarch. I can sense your rage towards men who care nothing for pregnant women. I can give you the power to change that."
"I don't want anything you have to offer jerk," the woman snarled. Mr. Damocles sputtered in incredulity, not knowing she wasn't referring to him.
"Are you sure? I can offer you the power of the Dog Miraculous. With its power, you can show people they're making bad choices. With this power, you could even get your wife to listen to you."
Gisele thought about what happened a few minutes ago. Caline was making the wrong choice for their family. Magic would make her wife listen to why their baby was more significant than Caline's students.
"All I want in exchange is Ladybug and Chat Noir's Miraculouses. Do we have a deal?"
"Yes, we certainly do." The purple-black smoke encased Gisele's body. Moments later, a new Akuma stood in the apartment.
Gisele's skin had changed to a light pink color. Her hair was styled in a bun with a purple hair ribbon holding it in place. Her outfit was a light blue maternity dress paired with dark flats.
Around her waist was a belt shaped like a mobile with items hanging off it. There was a sun, moon, and star, along with an angel, a cloud, and a baby monitor.
Maternity glanced at her Alliance ring. The symbol of the dog pulsated on it. She raised her fist in the air declaring, "Now, Carline will have to obey me."
At the school, Ms. Bustier had arrived and was preparing for the first lesson of the day. Today's review will cover a majority of the books they studied this year.
There was a knock on the door, and she looked up to see Mr. Damocles. "Dennis, how can I help you?" She winced slightly as the baby kicked hard once more.
Mr. Damocles asked if she was doing okay. "Your wife called demanding you be given the day off. I was trying to talk to her when she abruptly hung up after calling me a jerk."
"Giselle is being overly protective. I can handle the baby's kicking for now." She winced again and added. "If you could find someone to take over my afternoon classes, I can take care of the morning lessons."
Before the headmaster could reply, they heard shrieking coming from the courtyard. The two went to the railing and looked down at the courtyard.
Maternity was attacking Mr. Monlataing. Her mobile belt twirled around until the sun was in front. "Time for a snack!" she said gleefully.
The sun shone brightly and the art teacher found himself in a high chair being served baby food by a floating spoon.
Mr. D'Argencourt shouted at Maternity. "Leave my friend alone, you monster!" He was holding out his foil aimed at her. "Stand down woman."
"You stand down!" Maternity demanded. In the blink of an eye, she was behind the gym teacher. She jabbed him with her finger calling out, "Fateful Choice!"
Mr. D'Argencourt let out a cry. He saw that if he continued to fight, all his students would come to help them. Then they would be harmed by the Akuma.
"No, I can't. Please leave my students alone!" He sank to his knees and started bawling.
Mr. Damocles gently pushed Ms. Bustier back into the classroom and locked the door. Maternity saw the movement out of the corner of her eye. She jumped up to the second floor.
Her mobile belt was already spinning as she strolled towards the Headmaster. "You, if I didn't know any better, I would think you were neutered. After all, only someone like that would deny a pregnant woman a day off."
"Ms. Giselle, please we can talk about this," the headmaster said as he stepped down the hall. His eyes darted and he saw Caline duck behind her desk.
"Talk? I'm done talking to men like you. It's time you know what it feels like when your partner's boss is heartless!"
The cloud came up this time. The old man gasped as he found himself in a large tub. Invisible hands were doing their best to bathe the man.
Maternity snickered as she walked to the door of the classroom. "Oh, Caline! Where are you hiding, my dear wife? We need to finish our discussion from earlier."
Ms. Bustier drew her arms tighter around her legs. She could feel the baby kicking harder now. She didn't want to be found by an akumatized Giselle.
Maternity kicked the door open, causing it to slam against the wall. The glass sections cracked but did not break. Maternity was eyeballing the desk.
"I know you're in here, Caline. Come on out. It's not good for the baby if you're stressed out."
Ms. Bustier closed her eyes, praying her baby would be okay. She heard something jiggle then there was a loud shrike followed by a roar. Peeking out from behind the desk, she was amazed by what she saw.
Maternity had been pushed out of the classroom by Chat Noir. The jiggling she heard was the window opening. He firmly grasped the Akuma against the rail, assertively avoiding any contact as he let out a powerful roar.
Turning around, she saw Ladybug coming through the window. "Come on, we need to get you somewhere safe."
Maternity spotted Ladybug leading her wife to the window. "NO! I won't let you endanger her!"
She managed to twist out of Chat Noir's hold. She pushed forward tackling Chat. She ignored Monarch's orders to retrieve the Miraculous. Instead, she spun the hero around before shoving him over the rail.
Seeing this, Ladybug knew she had to get out of the classroom. Grabbing her teacher tightly, she whipped the yo-yo around a nearby branch. Maternity was about to grab her wife, but the heroine took charge and swiftly whisked both her and the teacher to safety.
Landing in the park, the spotted heroine looked around for a place to hide the teacher. "Ugh, why is there never a good hiding spot in the park?" she muttered out loud.
"The carousal. Get me to the far side of the carousal. I can hide there."
Ladybug could tell how winded her teacher was. There was sweat trickling down Ms. Bustier's face. "Are you alright?"
"Just get me over there so I can sit down."
The teenager carried the woman over and helped her sit. Ladybug looked around knowing that Maternity was going to arrive any second. "Why's the Akuma after you?"
"Because I didn't listen to her. My baby is kicking me so much today that she wanted me to stay home and rest. Only I couldn't because I didn't call in sick soon enough."
Wiping the sweat off her face, Ms. Bustier admitted she was going to go home after morning classes were over. "I don't know what her akumatized object is but you have to stop her."
"I will, Ms. Bustier. Please, stay here and try not to exert yourself."
Ladybug leaped away from the park. She was heading back to the school when she was intercepted by Maternity who popped up from behind the stairway entrance.
The Akuma pinned Ladybug to the steps. "You're going to inform me where Caline is right now."
"Never, I won't let you hurt a pregnant woman."
The Akuma yelled that was what she was doing. She reached for Ladybug's earrings. Before she could reach them, she was kicked off the heroine.
"Stay away from My Lady!" Chat Noir shouted. He had a killer headache but he wasn't letting it stop him from doing his job.
"You again? Didn't I put you down once already? Guess I'll have to do it again." the Akuma growled. Her mobile spun around and the moon stopped in front. The moon started to glow.
Ladybug managed to pull her partner away before he ended up taking a nap. "We can't afford to take a hit or be touched," she whispered to him.
The Akuma's belt spun again. This time it landed on the angel. "Time for a diaper change."
Peace Keeper stopped the attack by sweeping the Akuma off their feet. The Akuma got up and saw Peace Keeper a few feet away.
"Monarch has to have mother issues if he akumatized you," she taunted. She saw the two heroes starting to circle the Akuma. "You have the power to reject the akuma. Why don't you?"
"I will once I get what I want. Faithful Choice!" She reached out to touch the young woman's forehead.
Instead, Peace Keeper ducked under the Akuma's arm. As the Akuma struggled to regain her balance, the UN agent dislocated Maternity's other wrist. The Akuma wailed in pain.
That's when Kiki acted. She used her offensive power and called out "Proof!" as she touched the woman's scalp with her tail.
The power of proof always showed the truth to both the wielder and the target. Maternity froze in her tracks as she saw that Mr. Damocles had been about to tell her wife to go home when she had attacked.
He had locked Caline in her classroom because he was trying to keep her wife safe and reduce her stress. He didn't want Caline going into premature labor.
With her distracted, Peace Keeper had snatched the baby monitor off Maternity's belt and tossed it to Chat Noir.
He caught it and immediately destroyed it. Ladybug proceeded to cleanse the butterfly and cast her cure.
Peace Keeper vanished as the heroes helped Giselle up. "Are you alright ma 'me?" Chat asked calmly.
"I think so. Was I akumatized?" Giselle asked in confusion.
Ladybug nodded. "You shouldn't feel bad about it. Monarch used your worry about your family against you. Here, take this."
The teenager placed a magical charm in Giselle's hand. Ladybug then informed her that Ms. Bustier might still be in the park if she wasn't in her classroom.
The heroes bounced away. Holding tightly to her charm, Giselle went to the park. She saw Caline sitting on a bench, her hands wrapped around her baby bump. She must have sensed Giselle's presence because she turned her head towards the gate.
"I'm glad that you're back to normal. I was worried that the heroes wouldn't be able to save you," Caline voiced.
"Me too, but I'm glad I don't remember what happened. I bet I have nightmares of grown men acting like babies."
They both laughed and then looked at one another shyly. Caline admitted she should have listened to her wife. Giselle admitted she could have explained the situation better instead of yelling at her wife's boss.
"Let's promise to communicate better with each other," Giselle suggested. Both women shook hands in agreement.
Later that night, Master Fu returned the last circle to its box. He looked up at his daughter. "They're all safe again. More importantly, they understand the modern world better."
"Good, because the end game is near. If what we sense is true, then we'll need every Miraculous to save Paris. Maybe the entire world."
