Chapter Three - Electronica in the Velvet Room

"Weeellllllllllcome to the Velvet Room," said Igor. "you're a strange one, aren't you? one not born from this world..."

Desu swallowed. "H-how did you know, desu ka?"

Igor chuckled darkly as he pulled out a deck of cards. with graceful fluorising hand gestures he shuffled the deck and spread it out in front of Desu. He gestured towards it.

"Pick six cards, my dear."

Desu gulped. She picked six cards, unsure of how this would answer her admittedly very basic question like hello just asnswer her question, igor!

Another dramatic fluorish. The cards flew up into the air and assorted them into a 'cross' shape with one card floating towards her. She blinked and took it into her hands.

The Hermit.

"This card represents you, my dear Stephanie."

Desu blinked. "Um... I thought star or temperance would fit me more."

He chuckled. "you have a tendency to isolate yourself from others. alone time is good and all but there is a limit. you're focsed on your goals and do your best to achieve them alone... however, companionship has never been your strong suit, has it?"

Sadly, she shook her head.

"Onec upon a time, it was unintentional. Then it became a choice to protect yourself from the hurt, did it not?"

"...Tabun... I-I guess."

He nodded. "Now, lets look at the rest of your fortune; The Fool is how you feel about yourself right now. This isn't me insulting you by the way. As you are well aware, this is meant to represtent new beginnings. Right now, you're looking for adnveture or perhaps experiecing a new beginning for yourself and are unsure about where to go. It's time to be optimistic. You have found a way to go make your wildest fantasies come true, have you not? The Hanged Man represents what you want or need right now... Perhaps you feel that you're a victim whos life is not going as planned. You want it all but do you have the resolve to wait for the good things to happen? Death represents your fear of change. Change creates something new, something to experience and gives us an opportunity to grow. The Empress shows that things will come your way, you're entering a new era. Justice shows that however it won't be all sunshine and roses. Things may turn out to be in a way that you do not experct it to or particularly want it. And finally.. the last card you chose... Temperence. Ah, one of the cards you thought represented you best, correct? Things will ultimately work out in the end for you."

Desu hummed to herself. "So... what am I supposed to do?"

"Live. Don't let yourself get swallowed up by fantasy. Go out and live."

The pinkette squirmed in her spot. "...Okay, I will try. Gaatsu!"

"Yes, yes," He chuckled. "My attendant, Theodore, is one you're especially fond of in your world, am i correct?"

"Hai! Daisuki! I love him very much."

"Very well... I'll have him look after your grwoth. Now, time passes for you. Wake up."

"Ma'am, sumimasen, its time to wake up. we have landed," a stewardess said.

"Ehhhh? sorrymasen!" Desu squeaked as she got up and got off the plane. she opened up her notebook and looked to see if there was anything else she misssed... Thre was no mention of Igor or Theodore in there at all. However, she did see mentions of a cute Hello Kitty suitcase. With a roll of her eyes, she went to grab her bags and then headed out to...
