Chapter 6: Silver-Wreathed Heir
Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto or the OCs
Naruto is not an only child. Naruto has two twin siblings and a six-year older "cousin". A twin brother Yato Uzumaki-Namikaze (God of calamity Yato with blond hair) and a twin sister Mito Uzumaki-Namikaze (Mito Jūjō). His older "Cousin" is Erza Uzumaki (Erza Scarlet). Erza is a very distant relative of Kushina to the point where they are only related by the Uzumaki clan Erza is also 9 years older than the twins. Everything else should be explained, if you have any questions just ask and I will try to get to you.
Konohagakure no Sato: Namikaze Residence Year 77 Six months later
She could feel her bones creak and her already sore muscles stretch to their limit as she interlocked her hands and stretched them above her head to stretch out her tired body. While she hated the boring and slow curriculum that the Konoha academy used to teach shinobi at times like this she wished that they weren't on a week-long break before the last six months of school before the graduation exam to become genin. Of course, this week off was for them to relax before six months of studying and 'rigorous' training at the academy. Sadly her mother did not view it as a break but instead, 7 days that they didn't have anything to do except train, and by train Kushina meant a week-long torture routine, Their mother even took a whole week off missions just to train them herself and make sure they weren't slacking off.
'How Exhausting' She sighed in her head as she slipped out of her bed and swayed over to her closet. Slipping into her clothes she stretched once more before heading downstairs to the dining room to grab some breakfast before heading out to visit her father for the elemental jutsu he promised her at the beginning of the week. Stumbling she quickly caught herself on the table. 'Damn, I'm even more sore than I originally thought, How stupid I doubt anyone else besides me and Yato have to suffer this much for basic training, why did I have to get stuck with the crazy women for a mom.'
Continuing to walk towards the dining room she passed by one of the many screen doors that lead to the outside, she saw erza practicing her swordsmanship, 'No doubt training since before the sun began to rise.' She sighed as she thought about her distant cousin's odd obsession with training. 'Actually, now that I think about it, he might have it even worse than me considering Erza is almost always free unless she has an extremely important mission to go on.' As she thought this the image of a pale blonde boy with silver eyes and a small braid that led halfway down into a strand of loose blond hair on the right side of his head appeared in her head. 'Ah yes, The interesting one.' While others didn't seem in awe of her very existence like Sasuke, Shino Choji, and Shikamaru that was because they were the heirs to their respective clans and didn't know of the Kyuubi chakra sealed inside of her, or Ino and Sakura who were simply jealous because she was friends with Sasuke, upon their parent's insistence in her opinion his attitude and personality were offputting and annoying when he didn't talk to them at all. Everyone else seemed to adore or worship her except for him, not only that, he wasn't from a clan, he had no background, and was barely average in the class, and he didn't hate nor feel jealous of her or her brother it was simply as if he couldn't be bothered to care or show any interest in them. Yet somehow he caught both her mother's and her cousin's interest. Even to the point where her cousin took him on as her student and was even considering taking him on as an apprentice once he graduated. 'Hehe, I wonder if he will show me something fun in the end, after all, he has to be quite special to have caught both of their interest.' If anyone else saw the expression they would most likely be shocked not to see the sweet but somewhat distant princess expression that she showed in public but an expression eerily similar to a predator that sought nothing more than to toy with its new-found prey before ruthlessly crushing it in the most embarrassingly and humiliating way possible to sate its sadistic joy.
"Uhhh…Mom…Mito has that scary smile of hers again." So lost in her plans she didn't realize she had already entered the dining room and was only brought back to reality by her brother's voice echoing fearfully throughout the room. Mito could feel her eye twitch in annoyance.
'What right does this…this brat…have to say that my smile is scary, has he not met himself'."Like you are any better when you get excited while fighting, which is every fight." The crimson child growled out in pure annoyance at her, idiotic, overly happy, brother's comment.
"How am I not supposed to enjoy it, it's so much fun fighting from being able to overpower your opponents and crush them with ease to fighting toe-to-toe with your opponent. There is nothing more satisfying. It's a much more tolerable personality than your psycho ass." Yato replied indignantly.
e
"YOU LITTLE-" Mito shot up preparing to attack her brother
"ENOUGH! Both of you are a little deranged and that's because of the remnant influence from the soulless Kyuubi chakra sealed inside of you. Now stop arguing, sit down, and eat some breakfast. You two will be returning to the academy tomorrow to finish the last six months before becoming a genin. I know that Mito already has plans for today but I'm not sure about what you want to do Yato." The Uzumaki patriarch called out before asking Yato what he planned to do for the day.
"Relax" Was the simple answer Kushina got from the oldest child, sighing in annoyance at his curt response, As his attention was now entirely focused on the food in front of him, she thought about what she would do for the day.
Quickly finishing her food Mito shot out of her seat and muttered a quick love you to her brother and mother before she quickly left the house. She arrived at the hokage tower in record time. Quickly she moved past the anbu that she knew were there yet was unable to sense or spot them. Not that she was particularly trying as she knew how futile an effort it was unless she was a sensor, which she just so happened to be. The only problem was that her mom was focusing more on combat than her sensory abilities. She once explained why but Mito had quickly stopped paying any attention, She cared little for why she was being trained, only that she was being trained.
In a matter of moments, she was at the door to her father's office. Unlike Yato who would most likely just open the door with no regard for formality or basic respect, Mito liked to hold herself to a higher standard, so standing still she smoothed out her shirt, took a deep breath, then raised her hand to knock on the door. Quickly receiving permission to enter Mito pushed the door open and calmly walked inside, while she was smiling towards her father it was not a smile of childish joy but instead a smile of polite indifference. While she normally wouldn't wear such a smile in her father's presence the fact that he had guests over caused her to hesitate in acting too relaxed.
"Ah, Mito-chan, sorry I didn't realize that it was already time for us to begin with your training. I'm almost finished so if you would be a dear and wait in the lobby until I'm finished that would be greatly appreciated." Minato showed a brief surprise before looking at the clock on his wall, After realizing how late in the morning it was he quickly figured out why his daughter was here and decided to cut this, in his opinion, useless meeting short and take a well-deserved break to spend some quality time with his oldest child.
"While I'm sure it's important to spend time with your child, I suggest you do that on your own time and not when you're supposed to be acting as hokage, Minato." The one-eyed bandaged man across the desk from him drawled out in that gratingly annoying voice that Minato had come to associate with every migraine that he had experienced since inheriting the title from the Sandiame.
"Watch your step Danzo, I am the Hokage, not you. I will not tolerate you trying to order me around. There is a reason I was voted for and sworn in as Hokage and not you. I have finished what I needed to do and the reconstruction is almost complete after all these years, We will soon be back to the level that we were at before the Kyubi was unleashed. Yet due to the other villages' pressure during our recovery, we are still in need of above-average-strength shinobi. So training my daughter is a big priority for both me and the village." Minato sighed in annoyance before forcing himself to explain his reasoning calmly. 'Not that I have any need or reason to do so.' The Kage thought in exasperation.
"That is exactly why I'm suggesting the training of the kyubi soul container in my forces so that he could be a secret weapon should war break out. We still know next to nothing about the Biju except for the fact that they can be controlled with Mokuton, which has all but vanished as only Tsunade is left and has yet to show any sign of inheriting it. Or the Complete Mangekyou Sharingan which we have no hope of getting any soon as there are only two Uchiha left in the village and one of them is retired and the other can only be classified as a flight risk. It would be better to train you're children as they actually have the chakra but we already know you won't allow that. The training is almost over so you should hand it over to me now instead of letting it continue being ignorant to what its purpose is." Danzo growled out at the, in his opinion, blonde idiot in front of him.
"He is a child Danzo and not a toy for you to break and remake as you please. Now I have no interest in having this conversation any longer so I will leave first. I trust you can find your way out." After saying that Minato left the office to pick up his daughter and start her training on one of his two signature techniques.
Running forward Naruto was forced to drop to the ground to avoid the lighting-infused Kunai that shot towards his head in an attempt to end this spar, and in a painful way at that. "GOD DAMMIT ERZA, THAT COULD HAVE KILLED ME." The silver-eyed boy shouted out in annoyance at his teacher as she continued to use lethal attacks in what was supposed to be a simple spar. Already his body was covered in wounds and some muscles were still spasming every once in a while from his first encounter with his teacher's lightning style. It was a very annoying way to learn that you're teacher knew not two but three different element styles.
"If you can't handle it then that's not my fault. Besides you are already stupidly broken with your affinities and your nature Dominance." Erza quickly refuted before using shunshin to get in front of her student and lashed out with a kick at his head.
Quickly reacting to her kick he ducked down and shot backwards to escape from her immediate reach. Quickly he straightened his arm before flexing a muscle in his upper arm to allow a thinner-than-normal kunai to slip out of the holster and fall down his sleeve into his hand. Quickly channeling the wind chakra, which he seemed to have the easiest time using, through the blade he now had in his hand. After sharpening the blade with his chakra he launched it at Erza and shot forward while trailing behind it with a new wind-infused kunai in hand.
Instead of retrieving a kunai, Erza lowered her hand to her waist and activated a storage seal to retrieve the blade stored within it. Quickly infusing her blade with her lightning element she swiped upwards to deflect the wind-infused kunai flying toward her before rotating her grip to bring the blade straight down upon her student's head.
Reacting quickly, as he was used to Erza's fighting style, he shifted his body, brought up his kunai in a reverse grip to the left side of his body, and Deflected the lightning-infused katana which was originally being directed at his head. Letting it slide past his side he lashed out at Erza's neck with his kunai. Erza, predicting the counterattack stepped and leaned backwards just out of his reach.
"You are improving though you currently lack the reach necessary for your Shadow Dance style" The redheaded swordmaster stated while dodging and deflecting his offensive before she activated the unique seals on her blade to coat it in both lightning and fire chakra and swiping at him.
"Damn," Naruto muttered under his breath as his blade was cut unhindered by Ezra's katana which was now covered in lighting and fire."You just have so many tricks up your sleeve, don't you?" He grumbled in annoyance. While he could probably do that without seals it would be a painful process to master and reach the level of control his teacher had, even if she was using seals to make up for her lack of fire element.
An amused grin slowly appeared on her face as she lazily twirled the blade in her hand."You should always expect the unexpected and look beneath everything that you can see."She quoted a line from he uncle's only remaining student."Now come on we are wasting daylight"
After those words, Erza appeared before him in a flicker and lashed out with her dual-element coated blade. Back peddling quickly, Naruto was able to raise his new wind-infused kunai enough to redirect Erza's incoming blade so that he could get distance to readjust himself
"Will we be using jutsu or only blades?" The pale blonde-haired boy questioned as he slowly adjusted his stance to a wider and lower one that shadowed his opponent's new stance.
"Hmm, let's stick to blades for this match and throw in jutsus in the next one." She replied before rushing forward to continue their sparring match.
Leaning down he felt the katana swipe past his head and cut a few pieces of hair along the way. Shooting up after the katana passed Naruto prepared to swipe out at Erza only for the blade that was previously in her hand to be nowhere to be seen. Instead of his original plan, he saw his teacher's non-dominant hand shoot out and grab his wrist. She then twisted it sharply causing him to release his grip on his kunai which she quickly grabbed with her now free sword hand and brought it swiftly to his neck in an attempt to put him in an inescapable position to force him to surrender. Not willing to lose so swiftly he twisted his hand even further causing it to sprain itself so he could catch Erza off guard and slip away.
"...Of all the things I thought you would do that was not one of them," Erza muttered in a surprised tone as she watched him move back and create space between them once again."But what does spraining your wrist achieve? How are you going to continue fighting me now? How are you going to fight with a sprained wrist?" She questioned.
"I don't" was the boy's simple response as he looked at her with a face devoid of anything, including pain.
"Then do you plan to surrender? No, you would not have done that if you planned to surrender…Your healing factor, right?" She knew she was right as she saw a slightly maniacal grin form on his face.
"It really is quite convenient in times like this." Slowly lifting his arm he rolled his wrist a few times to make sure there were no problems with it. Glancing up slightly he quietly judged the distance between him and his teacher as he watched her stand there with a hand on her hip as she silently twirled his kunai in her hand.'The only good thing is that she doesn't seem interested in going on the offense anymore.'
Quickly adjusting his mental state he quickly shunshined behind his teacher and lashed out with a kick to her head which she promptly ducked before letting his kunai fly towards him while coated in lightning chakra. Spinning on his heel he let the bladed weapon sore harmlessly past his head before rushing towards his teacher to engage in taijutsu.
While originally he was the one leading the taijutsu fight with her reacting to him he quickly slowed his movements till he was the one reacting, or in his case, shadowing, her movements which allowed him to slowly but surely push her backwards.
Lashing out with a low kick which she jumped over he slipped a blade into his hand and threw it at her. Watching her catch it he quickly shot back before the explosive tag exploded in her hand causing her to shoot backwards.
"Hahaha, So you used a silencing seal on top of the explosive seal to mask the sound." Quickly realizing what happened Erza lowered her hands as a sign of defeat, as like with all their other spars, the first real hit he landed on her would end the spar in his victory." I guess I got a little too confident in my abilities." She sighed before walking up to him and ruffling his hair."Come on let's go grab some grub, my treat as you won this round."
Panting while trying to catch his breath after the three-hour-long spar Naruto followed his teacher as they headed to a small akamichi shop that served a large variety of food they both loved.
Well, that's all for this chapter hope you enjoyed it. This is my first time writing a fight so I would love some reviews on how I did it and the best way to improve it. I'm becoming quite busy with school, working, and writing so the posts are going to slow considerably while I also try to write one more story thats been stuck in my head for a while now.
Pls review and thanks for reading.
