Ch 48 The One Who Sleeps in the Moon
Running through the damaged streets of Patricus, Ritsuka, Charlie, BB, Violet, Chat Noir, Ladybug, and Octavius were heading to the Moon Cell. Along with the group was Abe no Seimei's Familiar, Suzaku.
Abe no Seimei needed more Servants to assist with his plan of Attack. He requested that Xu Fu, Moriarty, Nero, and Johanna come with him while the others went with the other group to try and stop Felix.
He also requested that Louis come as well since he is needed to rally the Resistance to fight once more.
Now heading towards the Moon Cell, looking up they could see how large the Moon Cell really was. "This really was on the Moon the whole time for thousands of years?" Chat asked, looking up the Alien Computer.
"How could nobody notice this when we sent Telescopes past the Moon into Space?" Ladybug asked, curious why nobody noticed that. "I mean Scientists would bound to notice a giant Cube sticking out of the Moon's surface." She added.
BB turns to Ladybug, answering her question. "That's because the Moon Cell is hidden from regular People's eyes." The Moon Cancer shared a little of what she knows about the Supercomputer. "It observes the Planet, but it makes sure to stay hidden from Human eyes."
"So, how come the Moon Cell came down to Earth? What caused it to be revealed to Humans if it wants to be hidden?" Chat asked the Servants, curious about that part.
"A simple reason, a Celestial object must loosen it to cause the Moon Cell to fall," Violet answers, knowing what happened. "I was Summoned by the Moon Cell, so its information from when it arrived on Earth came with it. Ask any Servant Summoned by it." The Alter Ego stated.
Ritsuka listens to his Servant, getting the gist. "Huh, learn something every day as they say." He commented as the group arrived at the entrance of what used to be the Security Check to enter the Eiffel Tower.
"We're here," Octavius said, standing before the Supercomputer on the Moon.
Charlie looks around, trying to see if there's anything guarding the Moon Cell. "Strange, nothing is guarding here." The Saber said, taking notice of the lack of guards. "I thought that this place was the power source of all Patricus then it should be at least guarded."
Ladybug agreed with the King of the Franks. "I agree with you. At least Karl der Grobe should put some guards here. Unless the Guard was one of the former Inquisitors."
Suzaku answers the question the Hero of Creation asked. "Well, the Alter Ego of White or Chat Blanc as you know him guards the Eternal Palace, including the Moon Cell among smaller Attack Programs." The Abe no Seimei answers through the Vermillion Bird. He looked over to BB and Violet and added to his answer. "And since you defeated Alter Ego who's still stunned by your Lucky Charm with the added fact that BB and Violet have removed Hephaestus from the Palace's mainframe. It's natural that all Attack Programs were deactivated."
Ritsuka then perks up, realizing something just now. "Speaking about Hephaestus and Prometheus, BB, Violet do you two-"
The Moon Cancer showed her master the flash drive containing the Machine Gods' mental unit. "They're both in here, Senpai. I have a feeling that you want to take them with you back to the Border so, I took it upon myself to store them into this." BB smiles, putting the drive into her pocket. "Your beloved Kohai will keep those two Gods safe."
"I can always count on you, BB." Ritsuka smiles, making the Moon Cancer blush.
"Yeah, yeah, let's just get this over with." BB turned her head, not wanting her master to see her flustered face.
Violet could only smirk, seeing the once meticulous AI of the Moon Cell flustered. "BB, this is a new side of you." The Alter Ego said before being shot with a death glare from her Creator.
"Don't you say a word, Violet," BB growls as the others laugh, heading straight for the Moon Cell entrance.
The group now stood before the Moon Cell's entrance, right before them was a doorway leading into the Moon Cell. "So, this is the Moon Cell's entrance," Ritsuka said, looking up at the large entrance,
It was translucent with grids outlining the rest of the Supercomputer. Leading to the entrance was a long stairwell that connected to a platform. "Something isn't right about this," Charlie said, having a strange feeling ever since they got here.
"What do you mean, having second thoughts your Majesty?" BB asked, mocking the King of the Franks.
"No, he's right. I got a sense that something was off." Violet said as something came leaping out of the entrance. "There!"
"Charlie!"
"Octavius!"
Chat Noir quickly joins, sensing the threat that looms over them.
Both Ritsuka and Ladybug called out to their Servants, asking them to defend them.
The Sabers and Chat Noir leap into action, raising their Swords to deflect whoever attacks them. "HUP!" They slashed the Attacker, pushing them back.
Everyone saw the Attacker land back at the top of the stairwell, "Who just attacked us!? I thought there were no more Attack Programs here?" Chat Noir asked, looking at who attacked them.
-ZZZ- This Magical Energy belongs to a Servant, -ZZZ- Mashu informed the group of what Attack them. -ZZZ- Be careful everyone, this Spirit Origin Signature is reading a Berserker. -ZZZ- She continued with the information they were reading.
"Got it, thank you Mashu," Ladybug responded, appreciating the information. "Huh? Ritsuka, what is it?" The bluenette Hero asked the Magus.
"It's Liz Void, she's been resummoned," Ritsuka said, staring at the Berserker before them.
Liz Void remained standing on the stairwell step, her posture was no longer how it was before. Her arms were dangling, her eyes were blank, and anything
Chat's eyes widen, seeing the Enemy they have defeated before has returned. "But we've defeated her, we saw her disappear." He turns to Ritsuka and the other Servants. "Shouldn't Servants die when they are killed?" The Hero of Destruction asked,
"Oh, on the contrary, Liz Void is no longer a Servant like before." A voice answered the blonde Hero, "She's more of a puppet now. The Personality, her reasoning, and her sense of self are no longer a part of this version of Berserker."
Everyone looks up at the entrance of the Moon Cell, exiting was the Foreigner they were hunting. Ritsuka gazes up, staring at the Enemy before them. "Foreigner of London, Dorian Grey,"
Dorian Grey smiles, opening his arms. "Well, now you discovered my True Name." The Foreigner chuckles, looking at the Chaldeans. "Indeed, I am Dorian Grey, one of the four Servants who directly serve our true master. Now that you defeated that Emperor, I take it you're here for me." He asked,
"That's right, we're here to defeat you and stop you and Felix from awakening Sefar!" Chat exclaims, glaring at the Foreigner.
"Blunt as always, Adrien. That's how I remember you," Dorian spoke, smiling at the blonde Hero before sighing. "Yes, my younger self is indeed and I am planning to awaken the White Titian. We plan for it to go into the Present and destroy your Home as you know it."
Charlie knew something was weird when Dorian first appeared in the Present. "So you just confirmed it. You are Felix Graham de Vanily's Future self turned into a Servant." The King of the Franks said.
"A-Are you really Felix of the Future?" Chat asked, having a feeling that is what he was hinting at back when he showed up to pick up Felix.
"Indeed dear Cousin, unlike your Counter Guardian selves, I have the opportunity to become a Pseudo-Servant. The Heroic Spirit and Outer God that infused with me found that I was very compatible as such I became Dorian Grey, the Foreigner of London," Dorian Grey said, proud of what he's become. "They saw me wanting to destroy Paris and assisted me in my goal."
Ritsuka frowns, looking at the Enemy Servant. "Why? Why would you want to destroy Paris?" He asked, not getting the reason why he wanted to destroy Paris.
The Foreigner merely shrugs, materializing his wine glass. "For me, it's natural that the Outer God within me wants to destroy Humanity so I decided I want to as well. This Lostbelt is lacking in the je ne sais quoi in Human society that I am looking for, but in the Present, there are a lot of Humans there. My true master…"
"Well, I'll leave that for you to interpret master of Chaldea." Dorian Grey smirks, holding out his wine glass at them. "But for now, my younger self is busy. I'm here to keep you from here, just a little so he can finish his business, so…" He poured her wine onto the stairwell,
The red liquid turns into a silvery color before morphing into a canine-like creature. "Be careful everyone, this is a portion of an Outer God, Daoloth," Abe no Seimei informed the group.
The now Metallic Canines growl and roar at the Enemy. Ladybug felt sick as she looked at those Eldritch things. "T-Those things…just looking at them makes me sick to the stomach." The bluenette said.
Chat saw his Lady about to faint. "Ladybug," He held onto her, seeing she wasn't feeling good. If he's being honest with himself, he too felt sick when his eyes gaze upon them but not as much as hers. "Ritsuka, Ladybug isn't feeling good."
"Must be from the effects of the Eldritch power those Creatures possess to cause sickness to certain Humans," BB said, getting the gist of what was happening. "That Girl isn't compatible in fighting Eldritch Creations yet, she needs to leave the Battlefield."
"Ah, so Ladybug doesn't have the mental capacity to resist my Attack Dogs." Dorian Grey smiles, holding out his hands. "Attack my Dogs, take them down, and bring me their heads!" The Dogs barks then roars before going on for a full assault.
"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!" Liz Void screams, leaping in the air to attack the Chaldeans. She positioned her Spear, aiming straight down at them.
A clash of Weapons echoes throughout the area. "Right, we'll handle Liz Void here. You guys just head to the Moon Cell!" Charlie exclaims, holding back the now-empty husk of Liz Void.
"GGGGGGRRRRRR!" Liz Void growls before being thrown to the side by Charlie.
The two Eldritch Dogs came running for the King of the Franks before being swept away by flames. "Charlie's right, since my master can't handle Eldritch beings so fighting Dorian Grey is out of the question," Octavius said before looking at the two Servants,
"Ritsuka, you two take master and the others inside the Moon Cell." The red-haired Saber informed the master of Chaldea. "We'll handle Foreigner and these things," Octavius said, wanting to keep his master safe.
Ritsuka nodded, turning to Chat and Ladybug. "Okay, we're going in you two. BB, Violet, let's get going." The Magus said, wanting to head inside before it's too late.
"Got it, just stick with me my Lady," Chat said as Charlie pushed back Liz Void before swinging his Sword.
Three Swords appeared above him, hurling straight for Dorian Grey.
The Foreigner frowns, leaping away from the entrance once one Sword impales the ground. "How impudent, these Swords are nothing to someone like me!" Dorian mocked the King, swatting away the two other Swords.
Charlie smirks at the Foreigner before clashing Swords with Liz Void. "Heh, you are one step behind, Dorian." The Saber said, pushing the Berserker out of the way. "It's merely to get you away from the entrance. Though it's a fifty, fifty chance it worked out in the end."
Dorian Grey's eyes widen, looking at where the Chaldean master and the Heroes were. They were gone and the two Servants with them. He turns his head, seeing the hair of Violet entering the Moon Cell.
He smirks, seeing that it's not a problem. "Well, look at that. Seems like you all tricked me." The Foreigner said before speaking. "But then again, it won't do you any good." His eyes turned to his Minions and prompted him to order them.
"Go after them, bring me their heads-" Dorian stops, deflecting flames from his Attacker. He then held his hand out, blocking a slash. "W-Wha-how!? How is that possible? What happened to my Eldritch Abominations?" He looks down at where he last saw them attacking Ladybug's Servant,
There lying on the ground were burnt corpses of his Daoloths mimics. Dorian Grey growls, looking at the Saber before him, "Just what are you, Saber?" He asked, seeing that no Servant in the Lostbelt could rival him. "Explain yourself, Saber? How is it that you're on par with me!?" He asked,
"Isn't it obvious? My Summons is the reason why I can be on par with you, Foreigner." Octavius stated, revealing why he was stronger than him. "You see, many Heroic Spirits have fallen by your hands as such they gifted me an Extra Skill. An Anti-Foreigner Skill,"
Dorian Grey growls pushing his opponent back. "Damnit, even those who are dead somehow fighting me off." He frowns before looking down at Charlie and Liz Void.
"Where do you think you're looking at!?" Dorian Grey flinched, not expecting Octavius to be in front of him that quickly. He slashed at him, prompting him to try a deflect it.
The King of the Franks slashed at Liz Void, only for her to take the hit. There are many wounds and cuts on the Berserker's body, "So, you really are more than just a puppet, a shame."
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" Liz Void roars like a mindless beast, attacking the Saber anywhere on his body.
"Hup." Charlie slashed at her Spear before slashing at the Berserker. However, his attack did land but Liz Void took it like some kind of invisible beast. "Damnit, here I thought I could defeat you by now. But I guess I have to give it my all!" He said, attacking with his full strength.
'Ritsuka, everyone, I'll be there as soon as I can.' The Saber thought, doing his best to defeat the fallen Servant.
Within the Moon Cell, Ritsuka leads Ladybug, Chat Noir, BB, Violet, and Suzaku (Abe no Seimei) into the Moon Cell. The hallway of the Supercomputer is linear with only one path going straight.
"I thought the Moon Cell was a Maze based on the Cube structure outside." Chat Noir asked, looking around the insides of the Supercomputer from the Moon. "I didn't expect the Path leading inside was so straightforward." He added.
BB scoffs, hearing what the blonde Hero said. "S.E.R.A.P.H is a Maze, practically a Digital City similar to Paris." The Moon Cancer explains remembering what it's like in the Moon Cell. "The Moon Cell itself is compared to the Holy Grail."
"Of course, since Paris of twenty-thirty-five has turned into a copy of S.E.R.A.P.H's Cityscape. The Moon Cell doesn't need to project S.E.R.A.P.H." Violet added as they came up to a bright light. "That light, we're here."
"Wait, that quick? I thought it would be longer to get to, no never mind." Ladybug shook her head, ignoring the questions she had about this place. "Now isn't the time for questions,"
Ritsuka smiles, seeing that both Ladybug and Chat Noir have matured a bit during their time together. "Alright, prepare for anything everyone." He said as they entered the Chamber.
-ZZZ- Ritsuka, there's a powerful Magical Energy signature just ahead of you. -ZZZ- Mashu informed her Husband on what's ahead.
-ZZZ- If what Karl der Grobe told us is true, then you'll be meeting the one who took Earth's Landmass in the Sixth Lostbelt. -ZZZ- Holmes added, ushering them to be cautious. -ZZZ- Be careful everyone, this is a mission you can't possibly afford to lose. -ZZZ- The Ruler stated, having faith in the Team.
"Geez, thanks for the pep talk, Holmes," Ritsuka said sarcastically, knowing the risk.
Upon entering the Chamber, they were greeted with something out of a sci-fi film. Many tubes were circling around a large platform, Obelisks were standing tall on the metal platform with Hieroglyphics of an Ancient Civilization not of Earth.
However, what wasn't the most captivating was a Giant Woman in a fetal position. Her skin was pure white, with many golden markings like circuitry, and her hands were giant with large bunny-like ears.
Her face shares an appearance with Altera Larva, indicating that there's a relationship. "So…this is the White Titian, Sefar…" Ladybug said, looking up at the Titian.
"It's I mean, she's huge, no wonder she's called the White Titian…" Chat Noir commented, looking up at slumbering Titian. "I can imagine that she could ravage the Earth Twelve Thousand Years ago. This got to be how many times you encountered Sefar?" The blonde asked the Magus.
"Actually, this is the first time I saw Altera's White Titian form in Person. The other times were just in stories and Legends," Ritsuka responded, looking up at the White Titian,
"Oh, I see-wait, did you say Altera? As in the Altera we freed from the Prison?" Ladybug asked, seeing the resemblance between the White Titian and the Saber Class Servant. "Is she some kind of scout or something like that?" She asked.
BB shook her head, "Nah, she's just what got left behind when Excalibur blasted right through her, destroying the Body." The Moon Cancer's eyes then widen, realizing something.
"Excalibur? Isn't that King Arthur's Sword?" Chat Noir asked, curious why the Legendary Sword was mentioned until he realized something. "That's the Holy Sword the Mural was talking about!?" He asked,
"Excalibur is the most powerful of all of the Holy Swords, it was forged in the Inner Sea of the Planet. A Weapon meant to destroy threats to the Planet." Ritsuka said, looking up at Sefar, "Though, I'm curious. If Sefar is asleep then where is-"
-ZZZ- Director, everyone, there's a Human Presence here. -ZZZ- Ginny came on, informing them what they detected. -ZZZ- It's the Anomaly master. -ZZZ- She said, reading the readings on her monitor.
"Here I thought you wouldn't show up, I was waiting patiently for you." Everyone looked above, seeing Felix standing above the Chaldean master and the Heroes of Paris. He smiles down, welcoming them to the Moon Cell. "Welcome to your final destination, and where you'll meet your end,"
Chat Noir steps forward, looking up at his Cousin. "Felix, stop this! Don't destroy this World or our Home!" He tries to reason with the Anomaly master. "It isn't right, Felix. Please don't do this, think about your Parents, your Friends, your Family."
"My Friends?" Felix grins before laughing mechanically. "I don't have any Friends to speak about, as to our Family, Adrien the hell with them!" He shouted, showing his hate for their Family.
"W-What!?" Adrien was taken aback, never once thought Felix could hate their Family. Sure his Father can be difficult to reason with at times, but he only does that because he's protective of him.
"You are such a naïve fool, Adrien. You believe that our Family is like other Families in the World, you're wrong." Felix stated, glaring at his Cousin letting out all the pent-up feelings. "You have Parents that deeply love you, a Father who will do anything to protect you, Friends that really care for you-no, the entire World cares about you!" He shouted, seething with anger at how Adrien got everything People always wanted, while he got the short end of the stick.
"But Aunt Amelie cares about you, even Uncle-"
Felix slams his fist on the railings. "My Father doesn't care about me! He was always jealous of your Father being more successful than him, he blames me for not living up to the Fantom name!" He gritted his teeth, thinking of all of the abuse he endured for years. "My Mother is the same, though she doesn't abuse me, she wasn't even aware of what Father did. While you have a perfect life and live a perfect semi-normal life."
"That isn't true!" Chat Noir stated, glaring up at his Cousin. He could relate to what he was feeling, what he endured during his Mother's disappearance. "My Father is the same! Though not through abuse, he neglected me for years while Mother was gone. I know what it's like to be abused, Felix."
Ladybug turns to her Boyfriend, feeling sympathy for him. "Adrien…"
The Anomaly master scoffs, "You? Abuse? That's funny coming from the likes of you-"
"Felix, what you've been through. I too was abused," Ritsuka said, causing both Ladybug and Chat Noir to look at him. "My Family is the same, they favor my Brother over me because of a Prophecy in my World. They neglected me and left me with my Relatives who are worse than them." He said, sharing what he feels with the Anomaly master.
"But trust me when I say, it gets better over time," Ritsuka stated, looking up at him. "Both me and Adrien are proof that once you're out of the Dark, the other side is better going on. I have a Wife, a Son, a better Family than the ones I had."
Chat Noir took note of what Ritsuka was saying, turning back at his Cousin. "That's right don't take your anger towards the World, Felix. Just stop this and I promise you, we will help you get through whatever you're in right now." He offered his hand to him, wanting peace after what they endured. "So, please, don't awaken Sefar, for the future of us, the future of your new life…"
Ladybug remained silent throughout this conversation, having no right to say anything. She looks up, praying for Felix to stop this. 'Please, don't wake Sefar up…'
Things were silent, Felix looked down at his Cousin and the others, hearing their plea. 'Heh, just look at you. You are actually considering giving up after all the work you did?' A voice spoke within Felix's mind.
'By God, you are so worthless and pathetic. You never had the guts to do what you wanted to do, but your Cousin,' The voice chuckles, angering Felix by the second. 'He was chosen by the Miraculous of Destruction while you are left with noth-'
"SHUT UP!" Felix shouted, causing the Chaldean master and others to flinch. He gazes up, glaring at them. "I'M NOTHING LIKE YOU TWO, I DECIDE ON WHAT I WANT TO DO! NOT YOU TWO!" He took out the Butterfly Miraculous from his pocket, placing it on.
Nooroo pops out, floating next to Felix. "M-Master, wait, I know-"
"Don't you dare speak to me!" Felix scolded the Kwami of Transmission before him. "Now, Nooroo, Dark Wings Rise!" The blonde master commanded over the Nature Spirit.
"Woah!" The Butterfly Nature Spirit was sucked right into the Brooch, transforming Felix. Butterflies came over to Felix, changing his clothing to a purple suit, he dawned a purple butterfly pattern cape, and in his hand was a cane like all Butterfly Miraculous Holder wields.
"He just used the Butterfly Miraculous!" Ladybug exclaims, drawing out her yo-yo. "I'm betting he's going to use his Akuma to power up Sefar," She stated.
Ritsuka looks at Ladybug, hearing what she said. "Wait, is that true? I'm still rather new to this Miraculous thing." He said.
Suzaku nodded, having seen this event play out through his Clairvoyance. "Yes, take Felix out now before he gets the chance." The Grand Caster said, warning them to prevent a Calamity
Felix laughs, looking at Ladybug and Ritsuka, "The names, Viceroy, and for your award of getting here. I can confirm what you suspect is correct." Viceroy said, smiling at them. "I'll use the Butterfly's power to strengthen her so she can wipe the entire Earth clean!"
"Not going to happen! Violet, BB, stop Viceroy!" Ritsuka ordered his Servants.
"You got it, Senpai!" BB leaps into the air, her Baton out and ready to attack.
"If I must, fine." Violet followed suit, ready to extend her arm at the Anomaly master.
Chat rushes forward, not going to let the end of the World happen on his watch. "I'm joining too! I'm not going to sit back and watch the World being destroyed!" He exclaims, extending his Baton at his Cousin.
Felix just watched the two Servants of the Moon and his Cousin coming after him. He smirks, raising his hand. "By my Command Seal, I order you, Violet, to keep the Chaldeans busy!" The Anomaly master ordered his Servant as one of his Command Seals disappeared.
"W-What!?" Chat and Ladybug's eyes widen, hearing what Viceroy said.
Violet immediately twists her Body, extending her arm to launch both BB and Chat Noir back to Ritsuka.
Both BB and Chat Noir landed beside Ritsuka and Ladybug. The two immediately help their Friend/Servant as they look up at Violet now standing with Viceroy. "V-Violet, what are you doing!?" Chat asked, never expecting the Alter Ego that traveled with them would turn on them.
"I'm truly sorry, both you and you two Fujimaru. But I have a duty to play out as the Alter Ego of the West Pillar." Violet stated, feeling sorry for betraying them.
"Alter Ego of the West Pillar?" Ritsuka questioned, unfamiliar with the term. Shaking his head, he looks up, seeing Violet eye to eye. "So, you were sent to be a spy by your master to keep tabs on us, right?" He asked, seeing betrayal as an everyday accordance in Singularities and Lostbelts.
Viceroy chuckles, standing next to his Servant. "In a way, it's true that I have sent Violet here to spy on you. But in actuality, I wanted her to act as a barrier when you guys eventually made it to the Moon Cell." The blonde master stated, explaining her true purpose.
Ladybug's eyes widen, hurt by what was revealed. "V-Violet…why? I-I thought we saw eye to eye from the moment we met in the streets?" The Hero of Creation gazes up at her former Ally. "Were you lying to us the whole time?"
Violet closed her eyes, hearing the hurt in Ladybug's voice. "It's a duty for a Servant to obey their master. Especially now that I have a Command Seal placed on me." The Alter Ego stated before smiling. "But I do enjoy the time together, and I've never lied."
BB scoffs, standing up and glaring at her Creation. "Typical, I always knew you were hiding something, Violet." The Moon Cancer commented, "Your true intentions never get past me, I've known you from the moment I created you,"
Violet gazes down at her Creator, finding this moment to be right to fight her. "Of course, I wonder why you didn't say something earlier." She stated, "I'm guessing that you wanted things to go as they are before revealing to them the truth?" She asked her Creator.
"Yeah, pretty much." BB shrugs, readying herself to kill the Alter Ego. "Senpai, allow me to handle this traitor. As her Creator, it's my job to put her in her place."
Ritsuka nodded, holding out his hand. "Right, I trust you BB." He said, having faith that she'll defeat her.
Viceroy glares down, waving his hand at his Servant. "You know what to do, Alter Ego." He said,
"Right," Violet leaps down, attacking BB first.
"Oh no you don't!" BB sends her shadows to preoccupy Violet, turning to her master and his allies. "Senpai, you and the other two will take care of the blonde bastard. You got one more Servant left here, so make it count!"
Ritsuka nodded, looking at the two Heroes. "Come on, we got no moment to lose!" He said, seeing a stairwell beside the end of the platform.
Suzaku flaps his wings, looking at the two Heroes, distraught by the betrayal. "There's no time to mope around you two. We have to defeat Felix before it's too late!" The Grand Caster spoke through his Familiar.
Snapping out of her distraught, Ladybug quickly stands up. "R-Right, sorry. Let's end this, right Kitty?"
"Yeah, right Ladybug," Chat said as the two followed Ritsuka up the stairs.
