Spider-Man: Look out! Here comes the Spider-Man! Not too often I'm forced to fight for my life in a game show. That's what Arcade of the future made us do. It was the only way to get his Key and stop him from blowing up the city. Gotta admit, it was pretty fun, if a bit twisted. Alright, we got another set of Gate Keys. Let's go see what these ones open!

Issue 8: Perfect Punisher
Manhattan, White Space.
'PARKER! WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?! I'VE BEEN CALLING YOU ALL DAY!' J Jonah Jameson spoke to his employee with his usual angry tone.
"Sorry, JJ, I was stuck being a statue. Need something?" asked Amazing Spider-Man, unmasked and alone whilst taking a small break on a rooftop before his next mission.
'What else? Pictures of that giant time monster that brought us all here and I want them NOW! Get me a shot of those two Spider-Men in the vicinity, the story writes itself!' Jameson tasked his photographer.
"The Spider-Men? You're not implying they're working for the Time Eater?" Peter questioned.
'They way I see it they are until somebody proves they aren't! Now are you getting me those pictures, or should I call a more competent photographer?' Jameson threatened.
Once more tired by his boss's outrageous accusations, Peter sighs, "No, no, I'm on it.", before ending the call. 'Sheesh…Even blaming me for the collapse of the timeline. Never change, Jameson, except please do cuz this is getting tiresome. Times like this I miss living in Vale. At least the people there treated me decently.' He thought to himself, putting back on his mask so he may get pictures of himself saving the world.
"HELP ME! SOMEONE, HELP ME!" shouted by a distressed woman on the street, in which Peter takes top priority before reuniting with Team SSSS.
"Need a hand?" Spider-Man politely asked upon landing behind the woman.
The woman faces him. But instead of accepting his help, she cowers in fear of him exclaiming, "Don't hurt me!", before running as far away from the hero branded as a menace.
"Wait! I'm trying to help!" Peter reached out for her, only for his face to catch a Daily Bugle newspaper blown by the wind. He doesn't read it all, only the title that questions if he is a threat or a menace. This is the sad straw that causes him to sigh, "…I am so sick of everyone hating me." Before throwing away the curled-up newspaper with an angry scowl, "I'm going to go give the Bugle's esteemed publisher a piece of my mind. He's messed up my reputation long enough."
BGM-Spider-Man 2 (2004 Game) OST-Spidey vs. JJ
For years, Spider-Man has saved New York City numerous times from the most dangerous threats. And every single time, he is blamed for said threats by the Daily Bugle. His tolerance for this disrespect has reached its limit as he lands on the Daily Bugle rooftop so he may confront Jameson for all the years of mistreatment. "Where the shock are you going?" But first, Peter finds himself confronting Spider-Man 2099 who has been looking for him.
"I don't have time to talk! I need to have a word with the publisher of the Daily Bugle!" Peter expressed angrily.
"Do that later, Parker! This isn't the time for that!" Miguel argued.
"His papers have turned half the city against me! I'm sick and tired of it!" Peter retorted.
"Oh I'm sure that bursting into the Bugle offices and yelling will clear everything up." Miguel snarked, prompting the annoyed Peter to walk away until his counterpart blocks his path, "All I'm saying is that you need to calm down and focus on what's important."
"I know! It's just that it's getting to the point that people would rather die than accept my help! It's frustrating! Sometimes I think the city is better off without me!" Peter retorted.
"I know you don't mean that." Miguel said calmly.
"I don't mind testing out my theory. We're traveling through time now. Maybe I can stop myself from getting these powers. Never endure the things I've endured. Never have to make the mistake that killed Uncle Ben." Peter proposed, thinking of changing his past.
"But how many other people will die because you weren't there to save them?" Miguel responded sternly.
Struggling to refute his statement, Peter frowns, "…It's just…It never ends. The fighting, the violence, the madness. I know we cannot save everyone, but what's the point then? I won't be alive forever."
"No. That's why I exist." Miguel stated solemnly, reminding him of being his living legacy in the future. "And why you need to keep doing what you do best. Life isn't fair. That's why we fight. To right the wrongs of the world. You underestimate how impactful your heroics are on history. In time, your actions will become ideal. Humanity is lucky to have Spider-Man." He said, encouraging his idol to not give up.
"Hope you're right. Thanks, Miguel." Peter sighed, feeling better about himself for now.
"You're welcome. Now come on. The police found the second Gate. The Sonics are waiting for us there." Miguel said with a masked smile, leading his counterpart to their latest mission.

Shortly After…
The Spider-Men swing to the Boss Gate that is stationed near more black fog that has blanketed the remaining districts. The NYPD already has the area quarantined, only allowing heroes like Spider-Man and Sonic access as they are their only hope in saving the city. "Bout time. We've been waiting!" frowned Classic Sonic, with the Sonics tapping their foot impatiently at the late arrivals.
"Sorry, sorry." Amazing Spider-Man apologized, "So, are we ready to do this thing?"
"Yeah!" Classic grinned eagerly.
"If it's anything like the last Gate, fixing the anomaly inside will clear up the rest of this quantum fog." Spider-Man 2099 said, gesturing to the cosmic fog.
"Doing that requires defeating our most powerful enemies from the past. Last time you guys fought Metal Sonic and Eggman. Wonder who we'll face this time?" Modern Sonic wondered sternly.
"Let's use the Keys and find out!" Peter proclaimed.
BGM-Sonic Generations OST-Hub: Perfect Chaos
Team SSSS brings out the three Gate Keys they have collected from the Time Breakers as only they can unlock the Boss Gate. Like before, the keys react to the Gate's presence and flies to their own keyhole and turns them to the side at the same time. The Gate finally opens for those brave and strong enough to tackle the chaotic challenges at the other side. "You and Pete handle this one. We had our fun last time." Classic smiled at his counterpart.
"Thanks, Lil' Me. Hold the fort 'til we get back." Modern shares his smile with him, then Peter while telling him, "Here we go!", before the two Dimensional Avengers rush into the gate portal.

Space Colony ARK.
The Time Hole brought Peter and Modern Sonic to a Bernal sphere space colony in the latter's dimension. Built to be a top-secret research center, the duo is outside running past plenty of upside down buildings that were used for scientific testing and experimentation over 50 years ago. "Whoa…Amazing! Is this a space colony? Looks like it's been abandoned for decades, yet still active enough to supply oxygen to this area." Amazing Spider-Man said, noting how he is breathing in space.
"This is the ARK. Don't tell me we'll be facing…" said Modern Sonic, recognizing this place from a previous adventure.
Suddenly, Spidey spots a familiar ultimate being up ahead that gets him shouting, "Sonic! Look up there!"
BGM-Sonic Generations OST- Rival Battle: Shadow the Hedgehog "For True Story - Circuit Freq RMX"
Sonic looks ahead to gasp at the Black Hedgehog standing atop a building with his arms crossed and his eyes closed with pure calmness. "Shadow!" He shouted in surprise, recognizing his iconic arch-rival that matches him in both speed and strength but not in character, resulting in Shadow the Hedgehog opening his eyes to glare at the uninvited guests to his birth home.
And he's not alone. There is another dark rival that has been waiting for something interesting to pulverize. Especially if they look and act as annoying as Spider-Man. "Well well well, look at the wusses entering our turf!" Swinging beside the Webslinger is his dark reflection. A man corrupted by an alien symbiote that transformed him into a Lethal Protector.
"Oh my god…Venom! You're alive?!" exclaimed Spidey, in shock to be confronted by his thought-to-be-deceased rival, Venom.
"YOU won't be for much longer! Wanna race?" Venom laughed sinisterly.
Venom swings ahead of Spidey, just as Sonic is running toward Shadow. The Black Hedgehog grinds down a rail so he may personally confront his rival, crouching on it for bursts of speed that taunt his rival into increasing his own. Both near the end of their paths that prompts both of them to leap high through the sky at each other, where both cross iconic poses in front of the moon before reuniting with the Wallcrawlers on the ground.
"What are you two doing here, Shadow? Are you the Shadow from my time?" Sonic asked, running beside his grim rival.
Shadow scoffs, "Obviously. We don't know how we got here, but we've been trying to find a way out ever since but no luck."
"Maybe the Time Eater trapped you here cuz it saw you as a threat." Sonic speculated, "We're trying to stop it, but we don't know how to get outta here either."
"I have an idea, now that you two are here. This timespace is unstable. If multiple powers clash at their strongest, they should open a rift in spacetime for us to escape through." Shadow proposed his idea to escape this timespace.
"In other words, we have to beat each other up." Spidey quipped.
"We don't mind. It's no secret we want to kill you, Spider-Man, for ruining our innocence!" Venom snarked.
"Thought we buried the hatchet, Brock. You sacrificed your life to stop the symbiote invasion. Don't you remember your toxic girlfriend Cinder?" Spidey questioned him about his past.
"Don't know who you're talking about. Eddie and the symbiote make the perfect couple." Venom quipped, revealing that he comes from a time before the multiversal symbiote invasion.
"Figures you're not from my time. Classic Parker Luck. Well, what're we waiting for! Let's tango a way outta here!" Spidey declared, ready with Sonic to win this battle against their dark rivals aboard the Space Colony ARK.
The rival battle starts off with a powerful sonic boom erupting from the Hedgehogs racing each other through the space station. Sonic and Shadow are tied, clashing Boosts with intensities that causes them to ricochet to the sides. Shadow launches a quick spin kick amidst their run to try and trip up his rival, who swiftly backflips away to counter with a, "Sonic Wind!", that creates a sharp cyclone that fails to ensnare the ultimate hedgehog.
"Chaos Spear!" Shadow fires off several energy bolts at his blue pursuer, who jumps away from them to finally land a quick Spin Attack that knocks him away. He was blown toward a pole that he grabs and spins around superfast to gain enough momentum to be launched toward the local floating meteorites, ricocheting off them to blitz Sonic at light speed until he's sent flying through multiple buildings. As the Blue Blur recovers amidst his fall, he notices a purple energy sphere flying past him. He was quick to nab it, somehow absorbing its power before reuniting with his rival on the track.
"What was that I just absorbed? I'm feeling a power building up inside me." Sonic wondered.
"That's an Energy Core. No doubt formed from these quantum distortions. They'll make this battle more interesting." Shadow explained, smiling coolly at his rival.
"Oh yeah?" Sonic smirked, quickly spotting more Energy Cores manifesting throughout the track. "They're all mine! I saw them first!" He taunted before speeding ahead to them.
"In your dreams, Faker!" Shadow retorted before speeding up himself to collect the Cores first.
Racing above them is Venom swinging to an Energy Core to power his own lethal vengeance on his goody arch-enemy. "So many Energy Cores…so little time. These will be useful for our revenge, Spider! You have much to pay for!" Venom declared after absorbing his first Core.
Suddenly, he is slammed into the ground by Spider-Man using his Web Wings to reach the speeds for a destructive divebomb. "Send me the bill next month. I'm low on cash at the moment." Spidey quipped whilst striking Brock across the face with a flying punch. He then attacks with a leaping side kick that Venom catches with a brutality that also empowers him to repeatedly slam Peter into the ground like a savage beast, until the crimefighter manages to web-pull a meteorite onto Brock to force him to let go. The Amazing Arachnid retaliates with ferocious fury, smashing into him a hurricane punch that is followed up with a powerful web hammer down on his head. The raging Venom uppercuts him away to a space where he can clap him with numerous web-grabbed meteorites that Spidey jumps over to blitz him with a Web Strike Kick that helps him nab a nearby Energy Core. Angrier than ever, Venom leaps right at Spidey, who counters the same way. Both Spiders collide in the air, leading to Peter being caught by his rival while they crash into the racetrack. The Arachnid Avenger is left disoriented and at the mercy of Venom's body tendrils that try pulling him into his stomach.
"Hey! Let go! I'm not on the menu!" shouted Peter, struggling to free himself.
"Your fault for having a brain that smells so delicious." snarked Venom, managing to trap his rival in his alien stomach.
Even still, Spidey is fighting back from within and Venom finds himself struggling to keep him contained. Not helped by the Hedgehogs that zoom past him with speeds that break the sound barrier, weakening the symbiote severely as sound is one of their weaknesses. Spidey finally zips out of Venom and swings away while the wounded alien catches up. All four fighters reunite near three Energy Cores, two which are taken by Shadow after smacking aside Sonic, and the remaining one absorbed by Venom right before Spidey got the chance to nab it.
"This won't be good." Sonic frowned, sensing a brutal beatdown coming.

BGM-Sonic Generations OST- Rival Battle: Shadow the Hedgehog - Shadow Attack "All Hail Shadow (Short ver.)"
Intense auras of power empower the dark rivals for just a special combo attack. Venom laughs himself into utilizing his camouflage before Shadow launches a salvo of Chaos Spears both on the ground and through the air, all to impede their enemies. The heroes manage to avoid his attacks until Venom surprises them by reappearing in his Venom Fang mode that slams them to the ground. The Sinister Symbiote then uses his Venom Throw to toss them to the air and bind them with his web, while Shadow charges up a large Chaos Spear claiming, "Behold…ULTIMATE POWER!" As Venom jumps to smack the duo to the ground, Shadow then shouts, "Chaos Control!", to warp and blast both heroes off the racetrack.
"Come on! Over already? We still want to play!" Venom taunted the fallen heroes from the edge of his platform.

BGM-Sonic Generations OST- Rival Battle: Shadow the Hedgehog - Sonic Attack "Live & Learn (Short ver.)"
This fight isn't over yet as Spidey is coming up with a plan that will not just turn the tides but secure their victory. While falling alongside Sonic, he spots two Energy Cores around the area where their rivals are at. Quickly, he catches Sonic while spinning out a webline that tugs onto Venom's surprised chest. "Tag! You're it!" quipped Spidey, pulling themselves toward the surface and throwing the spinballing Sonic so hard that he knocks down Venom while reaching an Energy Core.
"Got mine!" Sonic says while absorbing his second Energy Core. Spidey then spins out another webline for his friend to catch and shout, "And here is yours!", whilst throwing him to his own second Energy Core.
Now it's time for the heroes' powered up finishing combo. Sonic unleashes an awesome burst of purple power that aids him in bouncing off a wall for the swift maneuver of piercing meteorites with his empowered Boost, shattering them into shards that bombard the fakers. He's not done yet as his light speed Boost smashes them into a position for Spider-Man to handle with the finishing move, leaping at them with a purple web fist the size of a terrifying giant. Both Shadow and Venom are stunned by the sight of it and left completely helpless, surrendering this battle to the heroes as their bodies are slammed into a crater by the shockwave-inducing fist.

"Sorry, Fakers, but this win's ours!" Sonic mocked his defeated rivals that are lying unconsciously in the crater.
Venom is the first to awaken from that beatdown and growl at his embarrassing loss. "We're not done yet!" He furiously runs to engage in another round with the heroes, only to halt himself in confusion of the air cracking behind them, "Hey. Why is the air cracking?"
Right after he said that, the crack burst wide open into revealing a hole in spacetime that looks stable enough to be used to transport them anywhere and anywhen. "As I thought. A dimensional rift. This will take us out of here." Shadow stated upon his own awakening.
"You and Brock go rest up at New York. We'll handle everything else." Spidey tasked them.
"Alright. Good luck." nodded Shadow, jumping into the portal first.
Before Venom leaves next, Peter stops him to share some sincere words, "And Eddie…It was good to see you again, bro. Protect the city until we can return everything to normal."
"We don't need your permission to protect the innocent. It is not over between us, Parker." Venom snarled, forming a temporary alliance with his most hated enemy before jumping through the portal.
"Wish it didn't end the way it did." Peter muttered somberly, still feeling remorse for Eddie's death in his time. "Oh well. Nothing else better than moving forward." He shrugged, finally exiting this timespace with Sonic as they are only halfway done in conquering this Boss Gate.
Back at White Space…
"What's this place?" asked Classic Sonic, standing on a rooftop with Spider-Man 2099 as they stare at the Daile Bugle building.
"The Daily Bugle. A news tabloid that Parker works for." Spider-Man 2099 answered.
"Uh huh. And why are we here?" Sonic asked with an uninterested look.
"Thought we should explore some historic landmarks while we're waiting for the other two. Parker was upset about this place before he left." Miguel replied, recalling the slander his predecessor was receiving.
"You do that. Imma go see what the Tailses are up to." said Sonic, zooming to someplace else while Miguel goes to visit the Daily Bugle.
BGM-Spider-Man 3 (Game) OST-Daily Bugle #1
Despite their timeless predicament, the Daily Bugle staff are treating this as any normal day by working hard to get the next story out to the public. One of those hard-working employees is an accomplished editor named Robbie Robertson, and he just finished filing papers when he was shocked to see Spidey 2099 walking out of the elevator. "Spider-Man?" He exclaimed, joining his equally shocked co-workers in meeting the hero of the future.
"Hello." Miguel casually greeted the awkward people staring at him.
"You sound different." The beautiful secretary Betty Brant noted, gasping, "No, wait, you're that other Spider-Man that's been helping out in the city!"
"So the rumors are true. Thanks for that. What brings you to the Daily Bugle?" smiled Robbie, shaking hands with the future Spider.
"Was just passing by and thought I see what the Bugle of the past looked like." Miguel replied, quickly taking a liking to Robertson.
"The Bugle's still active in your time?" Robbie conversed.
"Yeah. They share the news through holo-papers. Looks like your era still uses printing paper. You know that ink causes cancer." Miguel warned the past people.
"It does?" Robbie raised a curious eyebrow at his claim.
"That's right. Soaked into the skin."
"Well, that's very int-."
"HOLD IT, SPIDER-MAN!" Unsurprisingly, the friendly chat with the Future Spider-Man is interrupted by Jonah Jameson's leer as he approaches the uninvited arachnid.
"Uh oh. I suggest you get out of here. Our boss isn't a fan of Spider-Men." Robbie warns his new friends.
"So I've heard." Miguel responded. He sticks around regardless in a vain attempt to get on Jameson's good side, starting with a handshake offer, "So you're the infamous Jameson. Greetings, I'm the Spider-Man from the year 2099 and-.", that is immediately slapped away by the rude publisher.
"Do I give a damn when you're from?! Spider-Man is a disease that should be wiped from history!" Jameson angrily said, rudely smoking his cigarette in front of Miguel's cringed face.

Initially shocked by his outrageous opinion, Miguel expresses a cold frown behind his mask retorting, "Excuse me?"
BGM-Marvel's Spider-Man OST-Behind the Mask
"You heard me, you wall-crawling freak! I know you bugs are working for the Time Eater to try and kill us and reshape the world where you can fool those people that you're heroes, when in truth you're really menaces! It won't happen! I'll have your webbed butt in jail for this! I've got witnesses!" Jameson ranted, now accusing Spidey 2099 of being a menace.
Already exhausted his patience for JJ's rants, Miguel lifts him by the shirt. Then goes a step further by removing his mask to threaten him with his glaring fangs, "Then witness this. If I was a menace, I would kill you right now. But that's NOT the legacy I'm upholding. I'm from your future. Today may live, but there will be other days that won't be so good and people will die. There's a chance I will die today. But know this in any event, Jameson." As he pulls the cigarette out of his dirty mouth, he states, "A century from now, Spider-Man is revered as a hero. While you…"
"While I'm what? A buffoon? A joke?" Jameson snarked.
"No. You're a nothing." Miguel then gently puts down the corrupt publisher, putting back on his mask while finishing up his tirade, "All your rants and poison, lost in obscurity. Spider-Man is a great chapter in our history, and you're not even a footnote. Remember that…for we won't remember you."
"You're lying." Jameson retorted, refusing to believe the truth.
"You wish." Miguel snarked, leaving the Bugle with some success in cleaning up his idol's messy reputation.

Meanwhile with Peter and Modern Sonic…
The modern-day heroes spinjump out of a portal that transported them to another timespace: A city that's seen better days as everything lies in ruins. The sky is clouded by a thunderstorm and the streets are flooded by tons of water that, of course, worries Sonic. "Where and when did we end up this time?" Amazing Spider-Man wondered, glancing at the ruined city.
"We're at Station Square, back when it was flooded." Modern Sonic then realizes the massive threat they are about to face as he puts on a stern expression, "Stay alert, Webs! This next fight's gonna be pain!"
BGM-Sonic Generations OST- Boss Battle: Perfect Chaos Pt-I "Open Your Heart - Crush 40 vs. Circuit Freq RMX"
Both heroes look far ahead to find their ominous obstacles: A brain sitting in the river and a star floating above it. Water and fire from their respective positions then burst with incredible force, causing a gargantuan snake-like water monster to erupt from the waters alongside a golden-skinned humanoid with hair tinged with cosmic flame emerging from his self-made star. Their names are Perfect Chaos and Firelord. Godlike Forces of Nature. "GRAAAAAAARRRRR!" roared Perfect Chaos, narrowing his slitted eyes on the heroes while Firelord hovers with a malicious smirk.
"Chaos!" Sonic scowls at his watery nemesis, but fails to recognize his fiery partner, "And…some fire guy. He was never here before."
"Oh crap! That's Firelord! A Herald of Galactus! This is one guy I NEVER wanted to fight again!" Spidey exclaimed with fearful shock, recognizing the cosmic menace from one of his adventures.
"Have no other choice, bro! Let's go smack 'em silly!" Sonic proclaimed, prompting the two heroes to rush into this cosmic chaotic clash.
The Avengers must travel through the flooded ruins of Station Square if they want to engage Perfect Chaos personally. The Destroyer God has no problem attacking them from afar, barging through buildings with massive water tentacles that knocks Spidey out of his swing but is unable to touch him while he's gliding with his Web Wings, and conjuring giant whirlpools that nearly flung Sonic afar if he wasn't caught by Spidey so he can continue his run. But they shouldn't just worry about the Water God. The Flaming Herald Firelord also has a score to settle with one of the challengers.
"Master said you would come. You are the Earthling that embarrassed me during my respite on Earth. Now I shall claim my revenge!" scowled Firelord, channeling the Power Cosmic through his staff unleash a massive flame burst at the Webslinger.
"You were the one that tried to torch a pizzeria! Earth doesn't sell pizza for breakfast, as much as I would love that!" quipped Spidey, leaping away mere seconds before his blast levels a building.
Firelord acts as Chaos's support in this battle. When it looks like the heroes are nearing the water god, the fire god pushes them back with a frightening fireball barrage. One fireball hits Sonic, burning him alive screaming until a quick dip in the water cools him off. "This dude's hotter than Blaze and Human Torch combined! How did you beat this Herald guy?" The injured Sonic asked.
"Through absolute luck and sheer desperation!" Spidey answered, before getting smacked by a water tentacle, "How did YOU beat this form of Chaos?!"
"Uh…Kinda hard to go 'Super' and get some help from a ghost-girl right this second. So…" Sonic replied, sweating while dodging a combo attack from both godlike baddies.
"I have an idea! We'll use Chaos against Firelord! You have the most experience fighting Chaos! Take advantage of his weaknesses!" Spidey suggested.
"His brain…Got it!" Sonic remembered his weakspot, getting their plan started by running into a smug standing position and taunting the giant water god, "Try and hit me with your best shot, you sewer snake! You're big but your eyes aren't! Doubt squinting will help you see how terrible a shot you are!"
The roaring Perfect Chaos falls for his taunts as he powers up his powerful breath attack that is targeting the smug hedgehog down below. As the monster is reaching full power, Spidey is busying taunting Firelord while dodging his flames, "Time Eater or Galactus. Be honest: Who do you prefer being a butt-monkey for? Cosmic Buckethead's always losing to the Fantastic Four, and Phantom Jaws sent you to be embarrassed again by yours truly."
"Last time was a fluke! You will never best me again!" retorted Firelord, allowing rage to blind and goad him into pursuing Peter toward Sonic's position.
"Better hope Chaos will lend a hand!" Spidey then retreats via a web-zip at the same time as Sonic running to safety. Firelord realizes too late that he was tricked, watching in horror as he is hit by Chaos's raging breath blast that packs the power to obliterate a massive battleship.
"Hurry while he's cooling down!" Sonic expressed while running to attack Chaos next. Both heroes then target his giant brain for a ferocious assault, with Spidey pummeling it with an aerial combo outside before Sonic boosts up his watery body to deliver a powerful finisher to the core.
"GYAAAAAAAHHHH!" Perfect Chaos roared in pain from that assault, which unleashed a massive force that blown both heroes to another neighborhood in the city.
"That worked! Doubt we can repeat it." Sonic noted.
Furiously from afar, Perfect Chaos launches another tentacled onslaught that is quick to startle the heroes into fleeing for their lives. "Just run!" Peter shouted. They run from tentacles and energy missiles that are destroying more of the city. They dodge them, but were caught off-guard by Firelord intercepting them with his fiery staff stabbing the ground and unleashing a titanic explosion that can be seen from miles away. Both heroes survived with severe injuries that they can't tend to now, especially Spidey as he immediately evades more of the herald's relentless attacks. The Webhead drops structures above his head using his webs that pin him down for just a moment, as his bursting flames free the herald that immediately blasts Sonic back after he tried attacking next. "Cool it, hothead! No one loves a sore loser!" joked Peter, managing to web-throw the herald into one of Chaos's whirlpools that'll keep him occupied, giving the heroes time to traverse up the rubble of a building and use springs to attack the water god's brain with a Homing Attack/Web Strike combo.
"GYAAAAARRRHHH…!" Chaos roared once again, feeling himself getting weaker while the heroes are blown to another section of the flooded city.
"Man, I REALLY hate fighting Chaos!" Sonic complained.
"Dread the thought of Hydro-Man having this thing as a pet…" Spidey joked, before the two keep moving forward, "Let's hurry up! I think we're winning this thing!" Expectedly, Firelord returns to counter their struggle by erupting flaming pillars to impede their path to Chaos. "Has anyone in the galaxy told you that you are very allergic to stubbornness?" snarked Spidey, as the heroes do their best in dodging the rising flames.
"The Chaos Force and Power Cosmic are ours to rule! None can ever come close to our infinite might! You never stood a chance against us!" boasted Firelord, merging his flames with another of Chaos's whirlpools to create a massive elemental tornado that is sucking up even buildings.
"Check out our résumé! We beat up almighty gods as a living!" quipped Sonic, leaping across every building that was pulled into the sky to clash against the herald's skills with a fire staff. This distracted him from Spidey web-pulling his staff away, smacking him with it before Sonic delivers an axe kick that smashes the herald through his own elemental cyclone. After the tornado is cancelled and as they fall, Spidey spins his friend so fast that he web-throws him through the air like a grinning blue rocket that smashes into Chaos's brain.

BGM-Sonic Generations OST- Boss Battle: Perfect Chaos Pt-II "Perfect Chaos Revival!"
"GYAAAAARRRHHH…!" Perfect Chaos roars again, sensing that he, along with Firelord, is on the verge of defeat. "GRAAAAAAARRRRR!" He roars once more, not in pain but out of absolute rage. His desperation for victory pushes him into causing several platforms to rise up from the watery area that the heroes are forced to traverse across.
"He's on his last legs! Stop for nothin' but that brain!" Sonic shouted.
Tentacles and missiles and even breath blasts were unleashed in a final desperate assault to annihilate history's greatest heroes. Their perfect teamwork helps them avoid all those attacks, no matter how last second they were, and jump across the platforms to Chaos's position. Of course they won't be able to reach Chaos if they don't settle things with Firelord first, as he's in the sky charging up a massive energy sphere resembling the sun, "Time to perish, mortals! The Time Eater must FEED!"
"Tell it to go on a diet!" snarked Spidey, swiftly activating his reddish blue X-Aura to empower the spindashing Sonic with the rocketing force to stop him from launching his death move.
"Impossible! His aura is resonating with energies of two worlds at once!" Firelord expresses his shock at the Spider's crossover power.
Their crossover combo ain't over yet. Sonic is in freefall charging up his power to radiate a turquoise aura off his body, while X-Aura Spidey is on a platform using his Battle Focus Semblance to intensify his fists and legs and eyes with red energy. "Crossover Combination: MAXIMUM LIGHT SPEED ATTACK!" Both heroes yell out their full power as instantly as them bombarding the cosmic herald with a breathtaking combo of the Maximum Spider and Light Speed Attack. They ricochet off platforms and buildings with speeds Firelord never witnessed from mortals before, less suffer from. It all ends with the herald being kicked right into Chaos's mouth, causing him to choke before Sonic stabs his brain with the scowling brutality of Firelord's staff.
"GRAAAAAARRRGH…!" Perfect Chaos lets out an absolute agonizing roar as his body is exploding from the inside out. There is nothing he can do to save himself, only roar, "GREYAAAAAAARGH…", while sinking his whole defeated body back into the river. Taking the drowning Firelord down with him.

Once again, the Dimensional Avengers reign victorious in an epic timespace battle. Both Sonic and Spidey rest at a ruined highway, collapsing onto their knees in total exhaustion from their intense fight. "Look at us…Still alive after beating up two godlike baddies at once…Just another Wednesday." Spidey joked weakly amidst his panting.
"And without our Super Forms…We've gotten stronger over the years, huh…" Sonic said, tired but proudly at his best friend.
"Luckier, maybe…" Spidey quipped, eliciting a light chuckle from the hedgehog.
Defeating two deified opponents is no small feat and unquestionably deserves recognition. A familiar blue light illuminates the sky in order for the heroes to gaze at a floating Emerald regaining its mystical blue color. It then descends from the heavens to float before the heroes' awed faces, with Spidey commenting, "A Chaos Emerald! Oh, we definitely earned this.", before pocketing the 4th Chaos Emerald.
"Must mean our job here is done. Let's head back to New York, and hope it isn't in need of plumbing." Sonic joked, before the victorious pair exit this timespace.
White Space.
"You've brought back quite a bit of this world." Classic Tails said, talking to Classic Sonic whilst walking backwards and hanging out with a group of friends consisting of Modern Tails, Team RWB, and Kid Team RWBY.
"Keep this up and we'll have the world restored in a few hours." Adult Blake smiled, happy to see New York City is a few districts away from being saved.
Just then, Spider-Man 2099 swings to their location that is nearing the Boss Gate. "Mr. O'Hara!" Kid Weiss smiles while hugging her new favorite superhero.
"Hey kid. Doing alright?" asked Miguel, picking her up like she's his own kid.
"Uh huh!" Kid Weiss nodded happily.
"Where were you?" Adult Weiss asked him.
"Had to give a mustached jerk a stern talking to." Miguel quipped, recalling his confrontation with Jameson.
Right after his arrival, Modern Sonic and Amazing Spider-Man walk out of the Boss Gate to be greeted by Classic Tails and Kid Ruby respectively. "You and Spidey are doing great, Sonic!" said Classic Tails, giving the hedgehog a high five.
"You mean 'You and the Spideys are doing great, Sonics'." Modern Tails teased his younger self.
"Right. I may never get used to that." Classic Tails frowned, scratching his head in embarrassment.
BGM-Sonic Generations OST-Cutscene 1
Suddenly another rumble hits the dimension, which at this point can only mean one thing. The Time Eater has returned for its routine fright act, terrifying countless civilians with its mere presence flying over them. "Watch out!" Modern Sonic shouted, prompting the group to duck as the beast flies past. It goes to the remaining colorless districts that is no longer plagued by dark fog thanks to Perfect Chaos's defeat. It spots a colorless Chaos Emerald and flies into it, thinking it can steal it for its own diabolical purposes. Instead, it is repelled by its energy surge, causing it to growl in pain before retreating into another Time Hole.

"That's a Chaos Emerald!" Teen Ruby noticed in surprise.
"That monster sure didn't like that Emerald!" Kid Blake noted.
"Those things have come in handy in the past." Modern Tails said, "We've already got a couple, but…"
"We need that Emerald!" Both Tailses proclaimed together while pointing at each other.
"Sonic, Spidey, you should go over there and check it out! I bet you can bring that Chaos Emerald back, just like you brought back our friends!" Classic Tails tasked them to explore the remaining three districts.
"And I bet you double we're going to need ALL seven Emeralds." Modern Tails added.
"They're the only power that can defeat that monster." Adult Blake commented.
"And restore the world to the way it was before!" Adult Weiss then remarked sternly.
Classic Sonic points at his counterpart, who returns it with a smiling thumbs up. Followed by Peter pointing his thumb at their next objective, which is nodded at with a stern look by Miguel before the four walk off. "You guys have your work cut out for you!" Kid Ruby smiled at her heroes.
"An adventure's no fun if it's too easy." Modern Sonic smiled back.
"That's us for ya!" quipped Peter, prompting Team SSSS to share one huge fist-bump as they look forward to exploring the next era.
BGM-Sonic Generations OST- Collection Room (File Select)
KFX Here: Two chapters in one week. I'm getting that energy back. Helps that this chapter had nothing but boss fights. Anyway, we're finally done with the Dreamcast/2099 Era. Next up is the last era, the Modern Era. And the Time Breakers that'll be featured in them will be unique as they will be based on more wild counterparts of certain villains.
