Chapter 36
Seated in his cell, his mind racing with enraged thoughts about the injustice of him being imprisoned like this.
'Spider-Man, he's the one to blame for this, he pushed me to this!' Quentin Beck thought angrily. 'Yet I'm the one who is locked up like some animal, I didn't even hurt anyone!'
He was clearly enraged, but also in denial, he didn't seem to register the danger his bomb had put the onlookers of his challenge to Spider-Man in. Shaking his head, Beck stood from his bed and approached the door of his cell and looked out, trying to find someone, anyone to talk to, to make them listen and understand he shouldn't be in here. Before he could say anything however he heard something, a strange noise and then suddenly, to his shock, the wall of his cell burst open. He spun around, eyes wide with shock and horror as he beheld the strange figure on a glider now outside the hole in the wall.
"Quentin Beck!" The figure called malevolently. "I have use of a man of your skills...in return, I can give you revenge on Spider-Man. All you have to do is come with me."
He held out his hand and for Beck, it was a no brainer, he immediately grabbed onto that hand and was pulled onto the glider, being taken away from the prison before the guards could even get his cell open. He was free and could now get his revenge.

Will grimaced as he stood with the Party, he still couldn't believe what he had seen at Max's house. Right now they were outside the hospital while comforting Max over what had happened to her, her mother was still being treated in the hospital.
"Max, we…" Lucas began gently.
Max shook her head. "Don't...I, I just need you guys, that's all."
They all shared a look, they just hoped that would indeed be all Max needed, but even so, they were still determined to do everything they could to comfort her. But then suddenly, their phones began going off with alerts. They checked and all stared, for Will it was a deeply unsettling feeling and they all had a feeling that this was going out in various news outlets as breaking news and shocking a lot of people. The Green Goblin had helped Quentin Beck escape from prison and apparently had also been seen in the company of Sandman. Not only that but there had been no sign of Venom since his attack on the Hargrove/Mayfield family which was putting the police on edge and this would certainly not help matters at all.
"I think...things just got a lot worse guys." Mike said at last.
They didn't say anything, but they all privately agreed with him.

Beck looked around, startled by the level of technology in the otherwise hidden location.
"What is...all this?"
The Green Goblin turned to him, smirking. "Welcome to my base, Mr. Beck, I've got a few...gifts for you, then we need to talk about a little plan of mine."
Beck was confused but then was startled all over again when another man entered, tall and broad, square jawed with crew cut reddish brown hair, brown eyes and dressed in a green and black striped shirt and jeans.
"Who-?" He began.
The Goblin just snickered. "Baker, meet Quentin Beck, Beck, William Baker, better known as The Sandman."
"The Sandman?!" Beck gasped in shock.
Sandman laughed. "What, surprised, so, you're the third member of this little group the boss wanted to get?"
As he said this he showed he was indeed who he claimed to be, transforming his lower body in a mound of sand. The Goblin laughed at the still dazed Beck and indicated a door.
"In there Beck, you'll find some interesting tools and materials, get yourself set up, I know your imagination will work in your favour. Don't take too long now, we've got to go over our plan." He explained.
Beck was confused but entered the room, as soon as he saw what was inside he grinned, his devious twisted mind already forming an idea.
It took a while, but finally Beck emerged in his new suit. A green bodysuit with a purple cape, gloves, boots and belt, a spherical dome covered his head with one way glass allowing him to see out but nobody to see in. He had several devices built into his suit and was now even more capable of illusions and other such tricks, now to devastating effects.
"Well, well, our newest member is ready." Sandman remarked with a grin.
"The name is Mysterio." He introduced himself, fully consumed by his new identity like the others.
The Green Goblin grinned. "Excellent, now we can begin our chaos, I have a plan, one to ensure I get the vengeance I desire and in doing so...we'll lure out Spider-Man and you can get your revenge on him Mysterio."
"Sounds wonderful, I can't wait to put on the performance of a lifetime." Mysterio laughed.
Sandman scoffed. "Yeah, sounds fun, just make sure I get my payment for this, Goblin."
"Oh you'll get your money." The Green Goblin remarked. "Don't worry about that, I always keep my word."
So it was the trio began to form their plans and the chaos that would emerge from it, determined to destabilize the peace that New York had been slowly falling into. Indeed since the Grand Central Incident, the only major crime that had taken place, requiring Spider-Man's intervention was the attack the previous night from the monster Venom attacking that home. But Green Goblin wasn't concerned, he knew now what happened to the missing Symbiote and it was intriguing to see how it operated, it certainly would make things far more interesting. What Norman didn't know, being so consumed by the Green Goblin, was that these actions were in fact playing into Brenner's hands, he was edging ever closer to his main goal.
End of chapter, hope you enjoyed it, read and review please.
