"Miss Schnee, I apologize for the late reply. Not only were we surprised to hear from you, to assemble the Crisis Staff and PR Team takes time. After hours of meetings we came to the conclusion that, should this 'hypothetical scenario' be taken to court, a settlement with the 'hypothetical prosecuting party' and a public apology would be the best and the simplest solution. Further has the PR Team hope, to use this 'hypoties' to increase the SDC standing from the LGBT+ community…."

Weiss deleted the voicemail but not before she heard it the fourth time.

'Buffoons, all of them!' she thought more than irked.

'To read sooo much more into it than there was! And want to make a publicity stunt out of it non less! Idiots!'

The heiress was alone in the library, waiting for Yang to arrive.

She should have brought her notes and textbooks with her to study, but she didn't think that the brute would let her wait more than an hour now!

But all she could do was to sit by a table and tapping restlessly with her fingers.

'Did she stand me up? Am I that much of an annoyance that she wouldn't even…'

Someone tipped on her shoulder.

Weiss huffed and turned around "What do you want!?" but quickly put her hand over her mouth as she saw who it was.

~Helloooo Princess~ Yang greeted her with more mirth in her eyes than Weiss saw in the last three days.

"Waiting for someone?" she said with a huge smirk.

That brought the irritation in the heiress voice back. "Do you know how long I was waiting? An hour! To think you would take this seriously!"

"But Weiss." the brute giggled.

"What!?"

"We never agreed on a time." Yang smirk got even bigger.

"That's not the point…. come again?"

"We never agreed on a time, all I said was tomorrow afternoon. I had thought we would go to the library together after classes, but you were gone so fast I assumed something urgent had come up."

The blonde came closer, swirled around and began to sit on the table edge near the platinett with a little "and hep" and in the air crossed legs.

After a little moment of being flabbergasted, Weiss skidded with her chair a bit away from Yang to gain some personal space back. 'I never noticed that she always radiates this warmth!'

Pictures of last night came back to her mind.

"P..point taken." she stated. "I wanted to discuss our difficulties from the last couple of days."

"Wait!" the blonde yelled and somewhere in the library came a hushed "Pssssssssst!"

"Sorry!" Yang whisper-shouted back before she turned to the heiress again."Wait a bit longer Weiss, just maybe five minutes more."

That confused Weiss. "What are you gaining at?"

"Ohh you will see." Yang smiled at her with smugness that should have been enough to summon her shades out of thin air.

"Ok, have it your way." and they began to wait in silence.

Five minutes ticked by rather quickly and no sign in sight for what the brawler could wait.

Weiss felt how she began to get annoyed again. 'Ok Weiss, keep calm, what are five minutes more on top of the hour you already waited? I am sure that Yang has a good reason for this charade…. yup totally.'

After fifteen minutes of Yang's request to wait for something, Weiss had enough. She began to stand.

"Yang! For the love of the gods…."

Ping Ping

"Oh there it is!" Yang chirped and picked up her scroll. "And no moment too late…" she rubbed her neck with an apologetic look in her eyes.

"We waited for a message to arrive?"

"Yep" the blonde confirmed and as she saw what the message included she began to smile the biggest victorious smile Weiss had ever seen on her.

"Behold mortal! My intellect is on the same level as my beauty and strength! Bathe in my glory Weiss and I will show mercy on your…."

"Pssssssssssssssst!" came now from more than just one corner of the library.

Yang now more abashed whisper-shouted "Sorrrrrrrry again!"

But her smile never faulted as she holded her scroll on Weiss's eye level.

Said heiress tilted her head and blinked more than regular as she tried to comprehend what she was reading.

Grimm-Biology Test Result B+ by Yang Xiao Long

"Professor Port let you retake the test?"

"Yep, after we showed half the school that maybe outdoor lunch in the middle of January with freezing temperatures could be a good idea, I…" And Yang really emphasized on this "..exxxplaineeeeed to Port that I accidentally switched the dates and had learned instead for Dust-Chemistry."

"But that's in two weeks!" Weiss interjected.

"Exactly." the brawler confirmed. "After I agreed to take the test two weeks prior to prove that I'm not just lying, he called Thumbelina Peach to do so and then he let me take two days to study for Grimm-Biology."

"I… you.." the heiress felt kinda speechless.

She sank in her chair back, fingers massaging her temples.

"You ok Weiss?" Yang's smile waved.

"I'm a huge bitch… you tried to explain… but I didn't let you, I just assumed." the platinett groaned while she tried to make no eye contact.

The brawler lightly chuckled "Well you know what they say about assuming…. But you are not a bitch, just a little bit hasty."

"Huh, hasty? If I would have let you talk, the whole situation would have been non-existent. And I assumed… there again! I assumed it's because of gods knows what!" her face began to burn, so she laid it prompt with a soundable "Thud" on the table.

Yang raised an eyebrow in question and began to stand from the edge she was sitting on.

"So I can ~assume~ that you are sorry?"

The answer from the heiress was a little muffled "Yes Yang, i'm really sorry….." She looked dumbfounded up to the blonde. "Was this even a pun?"

Weiss knew her mistake as she saw the glint in the brute's eyes.

"Are you ~assuming~ that this was a pun?" Yang replied, smirking as Weiss' face fell on the table flat again.

Deciding that she stewed the heiress enough, Yang reached her hand out."Come on Weiss, let's get us something to eat."

Weiss took her hand wordless and without looking.

In the next months the dynamic between the two of them got a lot better.

Not only were the two sharing a not insignificant amount of their free time together.

Instead of just telling Yang to learn, Weiss offered her to study together to prevent an accidental switch of test-dates. Rather surprised how willingly the brawler agreed to it.

Furthermore, a habit was established. Whenever the heiress got really mad at Yang, the blonde would simply ask "assuming?", and that would calm Weiss enough down so both could talk in a more productive manner.

She even adopted it to calm Yang when she was about to wrath induced jump head first into stupid and dangerous situation.

Once Weiss said it out of habit to her father on a call, that confused the man so much that he only could hang up wordlessly.

Sadly to the platinett this worked just once, but at least Yang doesn't get tired of telling this story to everyone who wants or doesn't want to hear it.

For their sleep arrangement, it got simpler every time the heiress came to Yang.

Now all she had to do was to say "efficiency?" and Yang would skid to the side, if she weren't already.

Weiss climbed into the blonde's bed again.

'Three, two, one….' and when she reached the 'Zero' strong arms enveloped her and pulled her gently to their owners' front.

She closed her eyes and listened to the steady breath of Yang, a rhythm for her now calming and sleep inducing, like a lullaby.

Normally she would be asleep by now, but she is too excited.

Tomorrow is the beginning of Beacon's semester break and she will be in Atlas for the whole duration.

Weiss will see her sister Winter again and the rest of her family… and father. Plus she will finally sleep in her own bed in her own room in a well heated manor.

Ok, it is March and it got warmer in comparison to January, but for the heiress there is no competition.

'Sleep in a warmer climate in a technically colder climate, here I come!'
