Meanwhile, the younger Aichi was taken to a room and was attached to monitors. "His vitals are very weak…" the scientists commented. "We might have pushed him too far."
In Aichi's mindspace, he was surrounded by darkness curled up in a sea of endless space. "Shu…" Aichi cried sadly. He had given all his power to Shu and he felt incredibly weak.
"Little one…" a voice called him. He looked up to see his other self standing above him.
The little one looked up and cried. The older one knelt down and held onto him to comfort him. "I'm sorry for everything you went through… I gave you the room to make your own choices," he apologized.
"Where is Blaster Blade?" The little one asked him.
The older one smiled and looked over to the side. Blaster Blade knelt down before them both. "Spriggan has a portion of his power, but you should be worried about yourself. You need more power or come back to me," he said happily.
The little one thought for a little while, but he knew his answer. "I want to stay…" he answered.
The older one was pretty unsurprised with his answer. "Are you sure? Shu isn't the Shu you know anymore," he asked him.
"If Shu ever comes to get me… I want to be there for him…" the little one answered him. The older one nodded and put his hand on his shoulder and light engulfed the space. The next thing he knew, he woke up in a room. There was no one in the room, but the door was open as if someone just left. He pulled everything out which caused the heart monitor to start beeping. He jumped at the sudden loud sound and knew that someone would come by soon.
He pulled himself out of the bed and walked as fast as he could down the hallway. He held the wall for support and heard a voice coming from the other side of the hallway. He looked around frantically and used all his strength to open the door and fall inside.
"I thought the kid was stable before. We need to hurry! Get someone else to take care of the older one, he just became unstable," he heard from the outside. Aichi took a breath of relief when he heard the footsteps run past.
After the footsteps were far enough away, he pulled the door open and slid through. While walking through the halls, he heard a television on. "Valkyrie!" He heard Valt's voice cry out. Aichi peeked inside and saw Valt holding his Beyblade, but the spin track was completely shattered.
Aichi looked in horror seeing how Shu watched him coldly, but also with some joy. "Shu…" he muttered while falling back.
"Blaster Blade…" Aichi called.
"Yes, My Vanguard?" Blaster Blade answered.
"You were watching over me the entire time right? Was there anything I could have done to stop Shu…?" Aichi asked him sadly.
"I believe this path was inevitable. You wanted to respect his choices and allow him to follow his own path, that is commendable, my Vanguard," Blaster Blade assured him with a soft voice.
"I can't fight him… I don't stand a chance. Can I make a spin track for Valt?" Aichi asked him shyly.
"It might be too strenuous for your body. My Vanguard, you received the last share of the power left. Your other self knew that his natural body would be able to survive without the presence of his power, but yours cannot survive. Please think this through," Blaster Blade pleaded.
"You said that he can always take me back? I want to do this for Shu… I need to help Valt!" Aichi responded.
"You may not be able to live here," Blaster Blade reminded.
"That's fine…" Aichi reassured him. He knew that Blaster Blade would do it for him if he knew that he really wanted to.
"As you wish, my Vanguard. I will try to assemble it and leave enough power left inside you to sustain the vessel," Blaster Blade agreed.
"Thank you, Blaster Blade," Aichi thanked him with a smile. If Shu is using his power inside his Beyblade, he knows that the only way he can match it is if he has some of his own.
"The kid is here!" A scientist spotted Aichi and ran to him. Aichi was taken back to his room. This time they locked his ankle to the bed so that he couldn't run off.
"Ashtem wants you to rest until you are needed again," Silver Eye informed him. Aichi pulled on the restraint, but it was no good.
"Let me see Shu!" Aichi demanded.
"Red Eye does not want to see you anymore," Silver Eye responded. Aichi looked down and remembered standing behind Shu when he was about to walk through the door. "Stay put and don't try to do anything funny," he said before walking outside. Aichi laid down on his bed and channeled his power.
"Blaster Blade, I'll leave it to you," Aichi said.
"Yes, My Vanguard," Blaster Blade answered. In a different room, the remaining pieces of Blaster Blade's vessel began glowing.
After a while, people began to notice an energy buildup inside the Requiem room. "Sir, the fragments are outputting a lot of energy," a monitor noticed. Suddenly, the case exploded and everything in the case disappeared. "We were going to save that to use for another requiem, but it's all gone."
Aichi was unconscious in his room after using more power to create a spin track. "My Vanguard, you must find the strength to deliver this," Blaster Blade said. The completed spin track appeared in Aichi's hand.
The day before in Japan, Wakiya, Daina and Ken came together to pick up Aichi. They were told that he was staying at home and he was the best chance they had to talk some sense into Shu. They weren't able to get through to him through a call, so they went to the apartment themselves with Shu's mom's permission. "Hi, we are here to visit someone," Wakiya informed the concierge.
"Are they expecting you?" The concierge asked them.
"Yeah," Wakiya answered. They were allowed through to the elevators and they took it up. They knocked on the door and rang the doorbell.
"Aichi, are you in there?" Keru called. He was worried that Aichi was scared from the knocking and the ringing.
"Aichi, open up!" Wakiya shouted.
"What is the ruckus out here?" One of the neighbours complained after opening her door.
"We're sorry about the noise. We were wondering if you've seen your neighbours recently," Daina asked respectfully.
"Oh, Aichi and Shu? They left in a fancy limousine a few days ago. I think they were going back to America," the neighbour answered. She looked pretty gentle after talking about Aichi and Shu.
"Thank you very much," Daina thanked her before they ran off.
"He must be in the Snake Pit then!" Wakiya exclaimed. They immediately took Wakiya's private jet to Mexico and went to the Snake Pit. It was quite weakly guarded since Red Eye, Gold Eye and Boa were all participating in the International Blader's Cup, so they infiltrated it easier.
"Aichi!" They called. They checked as many rooms as they could and they first found the room where someone was sleeping surrounded by monitors and life support.
Ken recognized the person immediately. "It's Aichi! But he looks a lot older!" Wakiya exclaimed, sounding freaked out.
"There's no time to explain! We need to find the other one!" Besu shouted while waving his hands. They left the room and continued looking. Soon they found the room that Aichi was in. He opened his eyes weakly and saw the three.
"Aichi! Let's get out of here," Daina said while pulling him up. When they were maneuvering him, they noticed that his ankle was chained to the foot of the bed. Aichi held out his hand weakly and handed over the spin track to them.
"Please give this to Valt…" Aichi pleaded.
"No, you'll give it to him. We're going to get you out of here!" Keru said while looking at the chain. Aichi shook his head slowly.
"Aichi, Shu needs you. We heard Kiyama talk about him, he's like a monster now. All he wants to do is to destroy his opponent. He has already destroyed Valt's Valkyrie and threatens to destroy everyone else's," Daina explained to him.
"Shu… he went through something that creates a stronger bond with Spriggan… At this time, I think Shu and Spriggan are merging into one… I never thought that that was what the experiment was truly for… Shu's new Spriggan is infused with my power, Blaster Blade and a dark power… this spin track is infused with mine and Blaster Blade's power… please take it to him…" Aichi explained to them.
"Who are you people?" A voice said from the entrance. They turned to see Silver Eye standing there with a group of bladers with masks on their faces.
"It's you again!" Wakiya exclaimed.
"This kid isn't going anywhere and what is in your hand is also property of the Snake Pit," Silver Eye said before turning to Aichi. "I thought I told you not to try anything funny," he scolded intimidatingly. Aichi flinched and held onto Daina, who was the closest to him.
Shu was practicing in a training room at the stadium when he felt something unstable within him. "What are you up to?" Shu wondered while looking up. He easily identified that it was a power fluctuation from Aichi who was using his power for something.
When he knelt down for another launch, something fell out of his pocket. It was the keychains that Aichi had made for him long ago. He looked down with a glare and stepped on them, making them break.
He stood up and walked out of the room where he saw Theodore standing there. "Have you finished your training so soon? There is still a bit of time before your match," He asked him.
"I want a different room," Shu answered with a deep voice. Theodore knew that something had angered him so he looked inside and saw the broken charms on the ground. He remembered that was something that he held onto with great care and to see it broken means that Shu had completely severed ties with Aichi.
Theodore smiled and held his arm out. "There is an empty room over there," he said while guiding Shu to the room next door. Shu entered the room when a call suddenly came in.
"Ashtem, the remaining fragments have disappeared. The kid did something with them," the voice on the other end explained to him.
"That's not a problem. Let him do whatever he wants with them. How is his condition?" Theodore responded.
"He is fine. He fell unconscious after it. The other patient is in a stable condition as well."
"Good, keep me updated," Theodore answered before ending the call. "Not even that kid can revert Shu Kurenai back to his old self now. It is just a matter of time before I finally meet my goal." He went back to his observation room after the call ended.
Shu let out an angry grimace and stood up once he felt a presence behind him. "Stop showing up in front of me! Shu Kurenai is long gone-!" Shu shouted before noticing that it was the older Aichi who was standing there. Usually, he hallucinated about the little Aichi, but never about the older one. "What do you want?"
"Shu, do you want me to take the little one back?" Aichi asked him seriously.
"I don't care. It would be better if he wasn't here anymore," Shu answered coldly before turning around. Aichi looked a little disappointed and turned to Requiem Spriggan.
"Requiem Spriggan consumed Legend Spriggan, all of the little one's power, some of Blaster Blade's power and the seed. I'm sure you remember what Blaster Blade told you about it. Shu, you should think about it more, don't let that seed make your obsession-" Aichi began to explain.
"Shut up!" Shu repeated this time with anger. Aichi saw a shadow of Spriggan behind him.
"I just want you to remember the ramifications of what happened. The little one won't be able to survive long unless he comes with me or you give some of his power back," Aichi explained to him.
"He isn't taking my power. And I told you before: I do not care if he disappears from my life, it would make me happier if he is gone," Shu responded coldly.
"The little one has worked so hard on your behalf. Please think it over for a little while longer," Aichi pleaded before disappearing. Shu launched his Beyblade with pure anger, making it completely out of control.
Shu growled and picked up Spriggan who was thrown out of the stadium. He looked at Requiem Spriggan and analyzed it. There was a light blue core that contained Aichi's power and the white on the energy wheel which showed the presence of Blaster Blade's power. "Who are you?"
Shu's eyes glowed red and his aura appeared powerfully. "I am Spriggan." He left the room and walked to the main stadium stage. His opponent was Norman who he knew as Gold Eye.
"In the blue corner, a blader so strong he already secured his spot in the semi-finals! It's Shu Kurenai, also known as Red Eye! In the red corner, he's won two, he's lost two, but if he takes this one, the semi-finals could be in his grasp. It's Norman Tarver! Does Red Eye have what it takes to continue bulldozing through his competition? Or will Norman be the one who throws a wrench in his spokes and destroys his unbeaten streak?"
Shu and Norman walked to the centre where the stadium was and prepared for battle. "Now listen up, the only reason I'm here is to bring you down. Today, I'm putting an end to your lucky streak!" Norman declared. Shu only stared at him with complete focus. "I have been studying you ever since Ashtem took a liking to you. I know more about you than anyone."
"What are you getting at?" Shu asked him with a deep voice.
"You should be scared, very scared…" Norman answered before getting into his launching position.
"3! 2! 1! Let it rip!"
"Spriggan uses counterclockwise stamina mode!"
"I knew it!" Norman chuckled. "Time for Upper Crash!" Noctemis landed a strong hit on Spriggan, but it didn't faze Shu at all. "Perfect! Now, knock it out of there!"
Noctemis went in for another attack with even more power. Shu only grinned. "Is that all you got? Meet Requiem Spriggan!" Spriggan let out a lot of power as Shu became more intense. "I'm going to destroy you! Counter Break!" With that impact, Noctemis's evergy wheel split in half.
"Requiem Spriggan wins with a burst finish! The winner is Red Eye!" The crowd began cheering loudly as the little Aichi stood in front of him. Shu pretended not to see him at all.
"Shu, are you really happy doing something like this?" The little one asked him. Shu turned around without even acknowledging he was there and walked back to the platform to be taken back down. He went back to his training room and practiced with the screen open to the live footage. He saw Valt win against Boa.
"I keep seeing him. It must be because of Spriggan's core," Shu thought while launching his Beyblade.
Meanwhile outside, Boa left the stadium in frustration. A group of kids followed him outside worriedly. Boa looked really upset with himself after losing from a Burst Finish. He was about to throw away his Beyblade when Valt caught it. "What do you want?" Boa asked Valt in frustration.
"Stop this!" Valt shouted.
"Get your hands off of me!" Boa demanded while using his strength to continue his arm movement.
"Not going to happen!"
"Let me go!"
"I won't! Not until you promise me to calm down!"
"It's none of your business!"
"I'm just trying to help you! You can trust me!"
"I told you! No!" Boa shouted while throwing Valt off of him.
"Just listen!"
Boa clenched his hands around his Beyblade in tears. "Leave me alone! You don't get it!" He shouted before he prepared to throw his Beyblade into the ground again.
"No! Boa!" Valt shouted before the dark clouds parted. The light surprised Boa and he looked up to see his Beyblade shining in the sunlight.
"Balkesh is trying to tell you it's not ready to give up! C'mon, listen! It says it wants to get stronger and keep battling with you as your partner!" Valt explained. Boa looked in shock, but quickly snapped back into reality. He retracted his arm as well. "Hey man, you've gotta trust your Bey!"
Boa blushed before walking away. The group behind them finally got the strength to say something. "Your battle today was incredible, Boa!" The rest cheered him up as well which made Boa turn to them surprised.
"Do you really mean that?" Boa asked them.
"Yeah! We should have a rematch some time!" Valt exclaimed enthusiastically.
"Lay off… Just give me some space would you?" Boa responded before turning around. "That being said, when we do battle again… you aren't beating me again." He walked off quickly after hearing happy gasps and chuckles.
"If Red Eye had people like this around him, how did he turn into that?" Boa thought to himself. He remembered the time he met Aichi and he remembered that Red Eye seemed more flustered when faced with him. It was kind of like the way he was whenever he saw Valt. He stayed behind to watch Valt's tie-breaker match and waited to talk to him.
"Boa!" He heard Valt call. "Did you watch my match?"
"Yeah, you put on a great show out there. If you ever want to battle me, I'll be happy to any time," Boa answered with a smile.
"Cool! Hey! You're not going back to the Snake Pit, are you?" Valt asked him.
"I won't be going back there as a member. Which reminds me, do you know a blue-haired kid?" Boa responded.
"It sounds like Aichi. He is Shu's younger brother! Wakiya, Daina and Ken said that they were going to pick him up and bring him here so that he could talk some sense into him. Why do you ask?" Valt asked him.
"They might have some trouble then. Right now, he is in the Snake Pit. From what I know, Red Eye brought him back to do some kind of experiment with him," Boa explained to him.
"That must be where Shu got his Requiem Spriggan!" Valt exclaimed.
"I'll be going back to the Snake Pit and breaking him out of there. I'll bring him here after," Boa said.
"Thanks, Boa!" Valt exclaimed.
"Also, do you remember Ashtem? The guy who said he is the leader of the Snake Pit?" Boa asked him. "He is here in the tournament. His true identity is the owner of the Raging Bulls, Theodore Glass!" Boa told him with conviction.
"No way! Why would he create the International Blader's Cup?!" Valt wondered.
"Desire. His true goal is to obtain the ultimate Bey! If what you told me is right, that means he has been planning this for months. He must have known what the kid was capable of and carefully developed the equipment needed to create it in secret. Requiem Spriggan has been chosen and the championship was created to hone Spriggan's skill to make it unstoppable. We are just pawns for his scheme," Boa explained to him.
"It can't be…"
"That must be the Snake Pit's real purpose. I will never go back to a place like that ever again. I'll leave beating Red Eye and Requiem Spriggan up to you. I promise to bring the kid back since I'm sure that even if Red Eye loses, he will use him again," Boa promised.
"Thank you so much, Boa. Be careful…" Valt said seriously.
"I will," Boa answered before walking away. He travelled all the way back to Mexico to find that someone else infiltrated the place. He ran through the halls and found Ken, Daina and Wakiya battling droves of bladers. They look very exhausted from the ordeal.
"Balkesh!" Boa launched his own Beyblade and cleared a lot of them off.
"Boa, what are you doing here?" Silver Eye asked him with a low voice.
"Ashtem has gone too far with his plan," Boa responded while knocking everyone away from the doorway. He ran over to the room and saw Aichi trying to pull on the restraint on his ankle. Boa used Balkesh to break the restraint and turned to face the new opponents.
"Why are you helping us? I thought you were part of the Snake Pit," Wakiya asked him cautiously while Ken and Daina put Aichi onto his back.
"I'm not a member anymore. Ashtem and Red Eye need to be stopped," Boa answered. Aichi began to feel exhausted and his head drooped down.
"Hey! Aichi?!" Besu cried. They stopped for a moment to see that Aichi was losing consciousness.
"We need to keep going!" Boa shouted before launching his Beyblade again to fend off pursuers. He stayed behind to hold them back. They all continued to run to the exit and there was a helicopter waiting outside.
"If I knew he was in this shape, I would have called a doctor to come!" Wakiya said while sitting Aichi up on a seat. They had to fly to the nearest airport and take the private jet back to Japan.
"He probably won't be up for talking sense into Shu, but at least he won't be in that place anymore," Daina said. Aichi was getting paler and paler.
When they got to Japan, they took Aichi to the closest hospital to the venue. By the time they reached the venue, the semi-finals were going to begin. Ken and Daina stayed behind to take care of Aichi, but Wakiya went to the venue first to give Valt the spin track after picking up Valt's family.
"Wakiya! You're back!" Valt exclaimed while waving at the incoming helicopter. He ran up once the helicopter landed.
"Valt!" Toko and Nika cried while jumping on him.
"Toko! Nika! Mom! You're here!" Valt cheered while laughing. It took him a little while to notice that Aichi, Daina and Ken weren't with them. "Where's Daina, Ken and Aichi?" He asked them.
"Aichi was in a very bad state when we found him, so he's at the hospital," Wakiya answered seriously. Valt looked shocked and scrunched up his hand. "He did want us to give you this." He held out the Spin Track to Valt.
"Wow! Where did he get this from?!" Valt exclaimed in amazement.
"He probably heard that your spin track broke," Toko guessed while looking at the piece. Valt took out Valkyrie and when he did, the spin track lit up.
"Wow!"
When the light was gone, the spin track was gone, but something in Valkyrie changed. "What happened?" Nika wondered.
"Valt," Valt heard a voice clearly, but it didn't look like anyone else was able to.
"Valt, are you okay?" Toko and Nika asked him.
Valt looked down at Valkyrie in shock. "I think I just heard Valkyrie's voice! Very clearly too!" He exclaimed while holding up Valkyrie. Shu was watching the group from on top of a mountain and looked quite angered.
"Is this your way of getting back at me?" Shu asked in anger. Every time, Aichi always appeared in front of him and tried to make him question himself. It was this time, he didn't appear.
"You have been betrayed," a voice whispered.
"I will destroy everything that gets in my way! It doesn't matter how much you try to help them!" Shu shouted with Spriggan's shadow looming behind him.
During the semi-finals, Shu destroyed Luinor into pieces and Valt made it through after Free forfeited. In the evening, Aichi woke up and found himself in a hospital room. He groaned and looked to the side to see Shu sleeping with his head on his arms on the bed.
"Shu…" he cried. But when he reached out, Shu disappeared. "It's just my imagination afterall…"
"How is he doing, doctor?" He heard Keru ask from behind the closed door.
"He will be fine. I don't know what he's been doing, but his body has some damaged nerves. We aren't sure if he'll have a good quality of life from now on," the doctor answered. Aichi looked up at the ceiling when Daina and Ken opened the door and walked inside.
"You're awake!" Daina, Keru and Besu exclaimed in relief. They were inside a VIP room paid for by Wakiya, so they were able to be louder.
"How are you feeling?" Besu asked him while giving his face a hug.
"Good," Aichi answered with a long face. Daina and Ken looked at each other worriedly. "I want to see Shu… or at least watch his match. I realized that I have some responsibility for what happened…" he requested sadly.
"The final is going to be Valt vs Shu. It was decided earlier today. We'll take you to the stadium tomorrow and we can stay in the hotel before the final. Get some rest tonight," Daina answered. Aichi nodded with a focused expression. What would he say to Shu when he finally gets to meet him face-to-face?
Ken and Daina both helped Aichi go to sleep and soon morning came. They helped Aichi into a wheelchair and moved him out to a helicopter which was waiting for them. Aichi didn't look like himself, it looked like he was going to give Shu a piece of his mind.
Since the venue wasn't far, they got there really quickly. Valt was waiting there to welcome them. "Ken! Daina! Aichi!" Valt called with a big smile on his face. Daina wheeled Aichi out of the helicopter. "Come! Let's eat lunch! My mom made a lot of Beybread!"
Aichi smiled a little, but soon felt uncomfortable when he felt a massive pressure. He looked up at a hallway window in the hotel to see Shu looking down at him with a sharp glare. "Aichi, what's wrong?" Valt asked him. Aichi looked away and shook his head.
"It's nothing," Aichi responded. Daina looked at Ken and they both nodded.
"You have lunch first," Daina said while handing Aichi over to Valt.
"Sure! Valt responded before pushing Aichi quickly. Daina and Ken moved quickly and caught Shu before he entered his training room.
"Shu! Wait! We need to talk to you!" Daina called.
"What do you want?" Shu asked them with disgust.
"Let us talk to you a bit," Keru demanded. They quickly reached out for him and got him to sit down on a bench to the side.
"Open your eyes!" Daina said.
"You're not being yourself… you're nothing like the guy we all used to look up to," Besu explained to him.
"You can't keep battling. I don't know what you did, but Aichi won't be able to survive if you don't give him his power back. Do it for yourself too! Your body won't be able to hold up forever, you're going to get yourself hurt," Daina explained. Shu was unusually quiet in this situation so they looked at each other worriedly. "Say something."
"Get out of here!" Shu shouted abruptly with an intimidating stare. A dark aura came out of him, it was so powerful that even Daina and Ken were able to feel it.
"Turn back into the old Shu! We're begging you!" Besu shouted.
"We're worried about you! Can't you understand?!" Keru exclaimed. Shu looked to the side and saw Aichi behind the wall where you would turn into the hallway they were in and stood up. Aichi was holding his chest after feeling an abrupt pain.
"Don't go!" Besu cried. Shu knocked Besu away with force and knocked it out of Ken's hand.
"What's your deal-?!" Daina exclaimed before he saw Aichi wheeling himself with difficulty. Shu sent a glare to Aichi before clicking a button to open up the door to the training room.
"You'll lose, Spriggan!" Aichi shouted.
"What are you talking about?" Shu asked him with a deep voice. Aichi was able to see the shadow behind Shu clearly.
"Someone like you is bound to lose! Valt will beat you!" Aichi answered in confidence. A blue aura appeared around him. Blaster Blade appeared beside him as well.
"We'll see about that," Shu responded before walking inside.
"If you somehow manage to win, I will give you the rest of my power to consume. I'm sure you'll be satisfied with that," Aichi shouted with a blank stare. Shu looked at him with a dark smile.
"Don't back out of it later," Shu responded before closing the door behind him.
"Aichi, why did you say that? Why did you come over here?" Daina asked him worriedly. Ken looked at Besu sadly after seeing the ear had torn. Aichi reached out for Besu and held onto it for Ken.
"If Shu is going to stay like this, he is bound to try to take the rest of my power. If not him, then someone else will push him to…" Aichi answered. Daina took over pushing Aichi so that he didn't have to use more of his strength.
"Why did you call Shu, Spriggan?" Keru asked him curiously.
"That's because-" Aichi began to explain, but stopped when they saw Theodore walking down the hall.
"So you were here all along, Aichi. Did you see Shu?" Theodore asked Aichi with a smirk. He noticed that Aichi's eyes were much different than before. Aichi thought over his words carefully before answering.
"Yes, I did. Be careful when you approach him. You don't know what you created, Mr. Glass," Aichi answered respectfully.
"I have watched Shu grow every step of the way, there is no need to be concerned, Aichi. Please come speak with me after the tournament is over," Theodore said while looking down at Aichi. He felt unsettled with the expression Aichi gave him. Theodore walked past him wondering what happened to him.
"Aichi, what's up with you?" Daina asked him worriedly. He wasn't himself either.
"It's nothing. Right now Blaster Blade is lending me some of his strength, so I end up feeling how he feels. I guess that rubs off on me," Aichi responded while looking at his hand. The blue aura was strong and brushed Besu.
Theodore walked up to Shu's training room and knocked on the door. Soon the door opened and he saw Shu sitting on the bench cleaning his launcher. Spriggan was lying on the stadium. He was pleased to see that Aichi had no effect on Shu at all. "You've done well, Red Eye. I am very impressed. Keep up the good work and victory will soon be yours. Then the Requiem Project will be complete," Theodore commented before leaning down and picking up Requiem Spriggan.
When he did pick up Spriggan, Shu growled in anger. "Hands off," he demanded with glowing red eyes.
Theodore was surprised by the demand. "What did you say?"
"Let go of me this second!" Shu repeated.
Theodore was confused. Why was he speaking as if he was Spriggan? "Pardon?" Suddenly, Requiem Spriggan began to glow brightly and he let go of it in fear. It fell back on the stadium and stopped glowing. Shu got up with glowing red eyes and stared at him straight into the eye.
"Red Eye is no longer here. I am Spriggan," Shu said as an aura appeared around him. It was like Theodore could see Spriggan's shadow behind him as well.
Theodore stepped backwards in fear. "The Blader and Beyblade have become one… This exceeds my wildest expectations! I could never have imagined better results!" He chuckled nervously. No wonder Aichi told him to be careful, he must have been able to see it.
Daina and Ken regrouped with the others and told them what happened. Aichi sat on his wheelchair looking at the sunset. "My Vanguard, your other self is still being held there. Please consider finding a way to help him out after you are finished with everything," Blaster Blade requested.
"I will, don't worry," Aichi promised. "It will be all over tomorrow," Aichi thought to himself.
"Aichi, why are you sitting here alone?" Keru asked him while touching his cheek.
"I was just thinking… How is Besu?" Aichi answered.
"He is getting fixed up by Valt's mom!" Keru responded cheerfully. Aichi still had a long face, so he wanted to make him feel better. "Let's go eat dinner! You are staying in the same room as me and Daina!" Aichi nodded and smiled.
Ken took off Keru and gave it to Aichi before starting to push him. "Thank you," Aichi thanked him.
That night, Aichi was lying in his bed. He was tired, but he just couldn't sleep. "Aichi?" He heard a whisper. He turned and saw Daina looking at him. "You can't sleep?" He asked him. Aichi shook his head. "Are you scared?"
"I'm scared that Shu will stay like this forever. I feel like it was partially my fault… I should have been there to stop him…" Aichi answered.
"It isn't your fault. Don't worry, Valt is going to win. Get some rest, okay?" Daina assured him. Aichi nodded and turned away. It took a little while to finally fall asleep.
