Hi there, everyone. Apologies for the VERY long delay in posting, a lot has happened between last post and now. But I digress.

Captain Olivia Benson clicked her pen down and sighed, running her hands over her face as she cast a look towards her almost empty squad room. To say the last 12 months had been tiring an understatement, and she had to swallow hard to clear the lump forming in her throat as she cast a look at the glittery 2021 mask sitting by her name plaque. She clasped her hands together behind her neck and leaned forward, hoping the tension against her hands would help ease the knot easing in her neck. But she knew it would take more than that to fight off the growing tension headache building. Getting to her feet, she pressed her hands against the desk and leaned forward; hoping the change in pressure would help alleviate the sudden tightness building in her chest. She had had her fair share of panic and anxiety attacks in her time, but this was nothing like she had ever experienced before. Had she eaten something that disagreed with her? She felt like the lump in her chest was getting bigger, and every time she breathed in it only seemed to get worse.
A gentle tap on the glass of her office door drew her attention, but only briefly. She looked up and sighed, seeing her Sergeant Tutuola leaning against the doorway with his mask hanging off of one ear.
"Liv..." His tone was one of concern and 'don't you dare lie to me'. "You wanna tell me what's going on?" He asked, being at her side almost immediately. After working alongside this woman he had grown to love like family for almost two decades, he was more than capable of picking up when something wasn't right. When she didn't answer, he took her face in his hands and almost forced her to look him in the eyes. That's when he saw it; the flash of what he never hoped he would have to see again; She was in pain, and she was scared. Without a word, he led her towards the couch under the window in her office and sat beside her on it, his hand resting on her lower back as she rested her head on his shoulder. "Can you describe to me what's going on?"
Olivia looked up at him, her brown orbs watering at the pain as a sharp pain hit her just below her right breast. "Sharp, sore, can't breathe in all the way..." She tried to lean forward to alleviate the pain, tears slowly rolling down her cheeks as her other hand went to her abdomen.
Fin frowned, his eyebrows creasing as she described what was going on. Without hesitation, he lay Olivia flat on the couch and stuck his head out of his office, throwing a look to Kat as she sat at her desk typing on her laptop. "Kat!" The newest member of the team looked up sharply, her eyes wide with alarm. "Get a bus, now! Liv isn't right." Without giving her a minute to react, he was back in Olivia's office with the door open. As he returned to her side, Fin felt his heart break as all he could do was watch as Olivia leaned forward in a vain attempt to alleviate the pain in her chest and abdomen. Kneeling in front of her, he took both of Olivia's trembling hands in his and looked into her eyes, trying in vain to not have his eyes well up in sympathy at her pain. She was his girl; and when she was hurting so was he. Kat knocked on the doorframe, a heat pack resting on her arm.
"Bus is still 5 minutes away, they're stretched pretty thin at the moment..." She proceeded to sit on the other side of Olivia, handing her boss the heat pack as she tried in vain to lay back down in the fetal position to alleviate the pain. Kat turned to face Olivia, resting a hand on Olivia's forehead as she tried to suppress a look of surprise at the sweat build up on Olivia's otherwise clammy skin.
Fin looked from Kat, to Olivia, back to Kat. A small moan of pain from Olivia was all it took. "To hell with this, I'm takin her in myself." As if she weighed no more than a doll, Fin hoisted Olivia into his arms and sighed as she cried out from the sharp pain as she moved. Kat was quick to be on her feet, leading the way out of Olivia's office and out to the now more bustling squad room. As they closed the door, Amanda returned with snow in her hair and her mask being removed.
"What's goin' on here?" She asked, removing her gloves. She saw the look of fear in Fin's eyes and to the look of pain on her boss's face. "What happened?" She tried again, this time turning her attention to Kat.
Kat sighed heavily, her hands on her hips as she watched Fin carry Olivia effortlessly out the door and down the hallway towards the elevator. "I wish I knew... but I don't think it's good."
